Ever since you became friends with Katsuki you called him by his given name instead of his surname. You didn’t care if it was disrespectful, you liked how it pissed him off.

Eventually, he got used to it. He convinced himself he was still annoyed by it. Still scowling at you whenever you overused his name.

You guys started dating about 4 months after meeting each other.

It wasn’t until you two became strangers did he realize how much he loved the way his name rolled off your tongue.

“Its to the left, Katsuki.”

“Put me down Katsuki!”

“What do you want for your birthday Katsuki?”

It was like his name was made for you to say it. Like his mom knew one day you would claim his name and make it your own.

But now, instead of Katsuki, its Bakugou.

“Oh… hey Bakugou.”

“Bakugou?”

“How have you been doing, Bakugou?”

Saying his surname is even worse to him then when you just flat out avoid saying his name.

But what hurts the most? When you begin to say Katsuki and stop.

“Kat-“

He snaps his head up causing you both to make eye contact with each other. Your lips are squeezed together, your face red. He’s quickly embarrassed by how fast he physically responded to you calling his name, blushing his own shade of red. You manage to recover, clearing your throat.
