'There's still five more!?' you might be thinking, or ''There's only five more!?' I'm sure reactions will differ, but I hope that no matter which one it is, you can still look forward to the conclusion.

I'll do my best for five chapters! Deku and the whole gang will, too!

There were bumps along the way, but somehow I was able to draw Deku and everyone for nearly ten years, all because everyone kept reading.

**This is a reference to how mille-feuille has numerous layers (its name meaning "thousand sheets") and often looks precariously balanced, as you can see here.

My Hero Academia will end with the combined 36th and 37th issues of Weekly Shonen Jump. Digital release on Sunday, August 4th, 2024, with a street-date of Monday, August 5th, 2024.

This issue is special every year. It comes out right before the Obon holiday, during which the magazine takes a break, hence its combined nature. It often includes special color pages and spreads, and the cover always has a huge, JUMP-wide cast picture of characters from all the different series.

Thank you for everything, Horikoshi-sensei. I'm looking forward to seeing your wonderful finale. <3

With a roar, Nie MingJue grabbed at Jin Ling. Both Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling had backed away to the corner of the wall, unable to retreat further. Jiang Cheng could only stuff Jin Ling behind him and unsheathe Sandu, which at the moment was unable to use spiritual energy, forcing himself to fend off the attack. Although both the guqin and the xiao had sounded, they were going to be too late!

Nie MingJue’s heavy fist punched through a body.

But the body was neither Jiang Cheng’s nor Jin Ling’s.

Wen Ning blocked himself before the wall, in front of the two of them. With both his hands, he grabbed Nie MingJue’s iron arm and slowly pulled it out of his chest, leaving behind a large, hollow hole. There was no bleeding. Only a couple of black organ crumbs fell out.

Wei WuXian, “Wen Ning!!!”

While Jiang Cheng looked as though he could lose his mind right there. He stammered, “You? You?!”

The punch was too strong. Not only did it pierce through Wen Ning’s chest, it also shattered a part of his larynx. Unable to say a single thing, he collapsed. With where he stood, he fell right onto Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling’s bodies. He was momentarily unable to move, but his eyes were still open, staring at them unblinkingly.

Jin Ling originally loathed the murderer, the weapon that pierced his father’s heart. Ever since he was young, he’d sworn countless times that if he had the opportunity, he’d definitely cut off the flesh from Wei Ying’s and Wen Ning’s bodies, piece by piece. Later, as he didn’t want to hate Wei WuXian, he hated Wen Ning with double the energy. But right now, as he watched the murderer, the weapon had his heart be pierced in the same way, he couldn’t even push Wen Ning rudely away so that he didn’t lean on them.

He knew he was dead. Much less having a hole in his body, even if he were to be snapped into two from his waist, he might not even end up with any serious consequences. But for some reason, he couldn’t stop his tears from spilling over his eyes.

basically tcol's timeline is like this:

before the universe began/how it came into being -> done and solid for the most part i doubt i'll tweak that anymore aside from add more legends and anecdotes perhaps

first age -> pretty much figured out and solid there's just Certain bits that i need to flesh out a wee bit more (especially on the aegean side because i need to attach to those characters more)

second age -> dude a fucking war happens and guilds happen and ik that immordia is supposed to drown LMAO but like ?? what is going on beyond that fr i don't know. oh also. a royal romantic comedy. ok. maybe i DO know more than i thought--it just doesn't feel as developed

third age -> in fucking shambles since apparently i've decided to add more details. the 7 brothers that lead to the evondra arc are still gonna happen, but we need ANOTHER oracle assassinator apparently

fourth age -> this is the main story actually. so. very very figured out, i just need to figure out the actual plot's remaining details so i can write it LMAO.

fifth age -> like. i Know what happens. probably. i have the IDEAS. but like. i need to figure this out Way more

and then there's a lot of in between side stories i can flesh out probably but like who has time for this
