The object show community has honestly become so unsafe and toxic. I’ve only been in the community for a year and a half ,but the difference between now and then is honestly drastic. People don’t even enjoy the media anymore, all everyone does is criticise. While criticizing is fine, I don't think a community should be based on that. I have barely seen ANY positive posts about the ii movie, everyone treats it like it's meant to be God tier and I get that everyone thinks they should get what they deserve, but holy shit you guys have nothing good to say. Shipping has also become such a difficult point of discussion in the community, considering that everyone believes that their ship and their ship ONLY is good. Most of the shipping stuff wasn't relevant to me, because I'm a multi-shipper but the fandom takes ship wars to an extreme,honesty speaking. Another point is the fact that people are mad at ii for making canon ships,, again this doesn't bother me,because I have always liked all of the popular ships but it's honestly not that deep. I think I've seen like a million posts about the payjay scene from ii 18,, and people got SO mad over fan service despite the fact that it was like 3 minutes long 😭 Another thing is, I haven't talked about c2bc on here b4, but Cole getting cancelled proved how fast the fandom is willing to act immediately on a show's downfall. "I never really liked the show" that's really not the point here. I feel like people should take the situation of cole being racist more seriously instead of just taking this as a chance to bash the show. Moving on,, I remember seeing a post of someone saying "how could you even cry to object shows,, they're so unserious" why do you care? Genuinely WHO is it hurting.Moreover people saying stuff like only "12 year olds watch object shows" is dumb; because have you ever been in a fandom before??Teenagers literally keep fandoms alive, also who DO you want to be in this community. My last point is how almost everyone acts like object shows are meant to be "amazing works of art",, like they literally started off as terrible. These shows are indie and run by an even amount of people, stop treating the shows like Hollywood. Reminder that these people can do WHATEVER they want with their characters. Animationepic is one of the most listening teams out there, they sacrifice a lot for their fans and I personally think that they're allowed to do anything they want with their characters especially since they put so much effort into what the fans want. As someone who uses object shows and animation in general as a way to escape reality,, it is evident that most of you do the same. So I don't understand why there is just SO MUCH negativity coming from the community,, when os fans are so clearly talented and instead of putting effort into being hateful they can use this energy to make art, amvs, maps and animation memes and help uplift the community and it's overall impact on others.

Ik I normally don't post stuff like this, but the osc is REALLY important to me and I feel like this should be brought to more people's attention.

Paintbrush / Roadrunner

A loyal ex soldier for Queen Scarlet until their Right Wing was ripped clean off after being bit by a dragon bite viper. The only way to save their life was to take the one thing away from them that they enjoyed. They were only able to travel by running, until they found the art den… and their winglet. In the art den, Clay, Acid, and Lanternfish worked tirelessly on a new mechanism-wing for Roadrunner, sprouting their love for art and inventions. They will never bow down to “Queen” Ruby, and was devastated when hearing the news about Scarlet. They refuse to return to the Sky Kingdom until Ruby is dethroned.

Lightbulb / Lanternfish

A bubbly Seawing Princess, a secret descendant from Orca unaware of her origins. Found in deep crevices of coral, the bright colored fledgling was first thought to be a Sandwing that grew gills. Lanternfish lives in Possibility until Coral sends the odd dragon away to JMA. She now lives with a mentally recovering Roadrunner with an egg on the way.

Acid / Test Tube

An Immigrant from Pantala, Acid has a hard time speaking Dragon. She has studied Scavengers her whole life, learning limited words in their language and dedicates most of her free time to Scavengers and enjoys company around dragons like Winter who let her study their pets. She has a hard time speaking aquatic, and has only gills that can hold air for up to 12 hour maximum, but requires fasting. She was the dragon who found Lanternfish’s egg on her way to Pyrrhia, buried under sharp coral. Acid still has scars on her hands from the rugged coral. She named Lanternfish after her mother, Lanternfly and sees Lanternfish as her sister.

Fan / Flocker

A Skywing with his nose always in a scroll, losing his tail in the Sandwing War. He’s been the first to realize energy projects from the Sun and strives to figure out if it could be used to create some sort of advancements.

Hey everyone!! Sorry I haven't been active on here as of late, I've been busy with finishing up my college semester! But now that I'm done with that, I've been working on something I've very excited about!

If you're not familiar with me, I'm wootzietoozee, the co-creator and storyboard artist of Affairs with the Dead! (You should go read it. It's really good.)

However, I am also the creator and author of Uncovering Meeple, a multifandom OSC fanfic-turned-multimedia project that I've been working on for the past six months! If you want to know more about it, you can look at the project's strawpage here, and you can read Uncovering Meeple for yourself here.

Uncovering Meeple is actually why I'm making this post, actually! Remember how I said that Uncovering Meeple was a multimedia project? Well, so far Uncovering Meeple has had supplementary material in the forms of art and videos sprinkled between the chapters, but we're taking it a step further now!

A step further how, you might ask?

Well...Uncovering Meeple is getting a game! (A visual novel, specifically.)

Everyone, I now introduce to you Uncovering Meeple: Scriven's Side!

(This explanation gets kinda long, so the rest will be under the cut!)

What is Scriven's Side?

Scriven's Side is an upcoming visual novel currently being made by me, Uncovering Meeple's author, with spritework/backgrounds being done by @bugsinspace, the comic artist for Affairs with the Dead and the beta reader for Uncovering Meeple, as well as the author of the Uncovering Meeple oneshot series There's no reception in Inanimate Isles.

How does Scriven's Side fit into Uncovering Meeple, exactly?

Scriven's Side is meant to serve as the sixteenth chapter of Uncovering Meeple's story. (Well, really the twenty-somethingieth chapter according to AO3, haha.) The game is told through the point of view of Paper Scriven, one of the main characters of Uncovering Meeple.

This game is a visual novel, right? Will Scriven's Side have multiple routes?

Er...yes and no. There are multiple points throughout Scriven's Side where you (the player) will have to make certain choices, but none of them will affect the outcome of the story—the purpose of these said choices are to shed some more light on Paper's character in Uncovering Meeple as a whole.

I'll be sharing progress updates every now and again here on Tumblr/some of my other socials, but I'll be doing more frequent updates on my Patreon! (Which, by the way, I'm only doing so I feel less guilty for sharing "more than I should" on what I'm working on, haha. Pretty much every tier on my Patreon is the same, I don't care if people throw money at me or not.)

I don't think I have anything else to say about Scriven's Side yet on here, but feel free to ask if you're curious about anything! I'll keep you guys updated :)
