among all things, fortitude hall is still an academy for young heroes ... and a respectable school like them must be staffed with the most respectable and knowledgeable educators in the superhero community. though most of them are supers who have decided not to pursue the life of a hero, or heroes who have retired from the cause, there are also some that are human who are brave enough to take on the task.

( william levy fc ) maximo reyes / firestarter. hero support mentor. former superhero named firestarter, and former member of the protectors. father to maxwell reyes, he retired from hero work after the new protectors were created and tried to build a quiet life with his son. took up being a mentor when he found out his son is a super as well, seeing it as a sign that his job as the original firestarter was not over yet. when he's not doing hero work, he co-owns a restaurant chain with his brother. powers: pyrokinesis, thermal ionization, heat absorption.

( ioan gruffudd fc ) theodore clark / dr immortal. professor of superhuman biology. a member of the original protectors and captain fortitude's right hand man. retired from hero work after the last stand and the death of his friend. he then focused on researching his own field of biology-- one that deals with the anatomy of superhumans-- before he was approached to return when the new fortitude hall was rebuilt. he returns only to be a professor and to also share his own knowledge of his body, and his research on other heroes. powers: absolute immortality, empathy, clairvoyance.

( aaron pierre fc ) alderic mercier / temporal man. mentor for combat and defense. the origins of alderic has always been a cause for both confusion and awe from the people around him. from his own story, he says he was a member of the protectors as well-- but not from this timeline, nor from this dimension. and after the destruction of his own reality from an unfathomable force, he says he came here to make sure this reality thrives, fight for it if needed be. powers: time manipulation, dimensional travel, teleportation.

I am so hype for the I Don't Want To Be A Magical Girl animatic pilot @kianamaiart is in the process of making right now. Something just clicked in my brain where I had to make an elaborate piece of fanart with these amazing character designs the second I saw them, so I took the opportunity to sit down and finally learn Clip Studio Paint properly. Logo was made by kianamaiart and julietran.jpg on instagram. I just cropped out the solid background color for this fan poster to give it some extra flair. Kiana, you're a phenomenal artist and person and I can't wait to see what you've got in store with this project. I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it. :)

one thing I find really interesting about these frames is that if you look at the background (instead of the heartwrenching focus of the frame) piltover looks different

like physically, without hextech, piltover doesn't reach as high. the gap between zaun and piltover is lessened. and there's the different between healthy, vibrant plants and twisted chain link fences. also the amount of light, AND there's more stars in powder's universe, implying the air is clearer. god this show is good.
