The reason why everyone is mad about the cheating plot line now is because now there’s no point to it with one ep left before the time jump. We needed to see jeronica’s reactions and Jughead still doesn’t know and Betty has NO intention of telling him. Betty not spilling her guts is normal though because she hides everything from Jughead until she’s forced to.

This cheating plot line was so good but with no fallout and no reactions, it’s completely pointless. In a cheating plot line you’re supposed to see “You betrayed me by cheating on me... how could you? How do I feel about this and how is it gonna impact me as a human being and our relationship?” And such.

But again, it’s one ep until a whole ass seven year time jump where they should be completely over the cheating and it’ll be so out of place and dumb. Which makes a lot of people to believe that Jughead’s not gonna know until after the time jump (though that doesn’t make sense because considering Veronica is only caring about Jughead’s feelings right now I don’t think she’d let him go seven years without telling him but then again this is Riverdale).

Yeah it’s amazing we’re FINALLY getting Barchie and Bughead will definitely not be able to come back from this and their relationship is basically bones, but the way they went about it was so????? If only they never gave into BH fanservice and they ended after s1 or at least 2 so Barchie and other ships could be explored, this could have came out different and not so... forced. Such a fuckin waste smh

rewritting sasuke’s arc because i can't sleep at nights

canon sasuke is a bitch and an idiot and you can't tell me otherwise (stick with me even if you’re his fan, please)

which boils down to kishimoto being an idiot who doesn't know what he's writting

so, sasuke would have his revenge on itachi and on the old council that manipulated his brother. he would address how hurizen is just the worst

but he wouldn't fucking plan to kill all the konoha because it's dumb as fuck

sasuke would understand that konoha as all the people isn't guilty and he would become who he doesn't want to be if he actually killed everybody (you know what that is? gROWTH)

sasuke would complete his revenge by killing people he planned to but he wouldn't be satisfied

he would say 'fuck konoha and fuck all the villages' because he actually doesn't wanna come back because, well, the system is kinda fucked, right?

but he would decide he doesn't want to be an evil bad guy that would '''''unite all the nations against him''''' because it's dumb as fuck and wouldn't work at all

i mean, you really want to 'unite' all the people and make them less stereotypical towards clans when you make yourself a perfect example of 'this sasuke guy is the worst! we made a good choice killing these untamed uchiha. we should do it again if another clan starts to get too loud’ ????? ?????

he would create his own village or take over the sound village because somehow orochimaru's message isn't this bad after all

i mean, find people who are the outsiders and have no home, the ones who aren't accepted by their villages, and give them home - sounds good to me!

sasuke would be a kage but people would join him of their own free will (instead of 'mom said it's my turn to be hokage >:( and you people have to listen to me!')

that would follow the message of ruling not by fear but by love, which is a very smart message

that also would be a parallel for sasuke learning from orochimaru and kind of becoming his legacy - orochimaru was his sensei after all

however, he definitely improves orochi's ideas because, well, sasuke isn't going to experiment on these people...

but i always felt like orochi's idea of a village that has special people joining it because they have no home is something very interesting and much better option than normal villages

tbh, i really like this ambivalence - orochi's viewed as a bad guy but actually the message of his village (excluding the experimenting on people part... lalalalalalala) is morally good

at the end, we get a very very very satisfying and fan-service ending of two kages - sasuke and naruto, being at peace, and naruto learning to be better hokage and changing his village to make it similar to sasuke's (ehm huyga clan ehm)

'and they were kages… oh my god, they were kages’

(we can literally have the same ending with the headband - that would be so fitting!)

sasuke becomes a compelling anti-villain who finally can see a bright future (because he can see his influence on naruto) and he's finally happy and feels like he found home and family (his new village) - we would sympathize with him and we would be happy for him that after all this mess he's eventually calm (there should definitely be a scene when he's just looking at his village and genuinely smiles after 84 years saying 'THAT is some good fucking life')

i'm not saying that itachi would be proud but itachi would be proud

also, the story gives good messages such as: (mentioned before) rule by love not fear, change a system by giving an example not a threat, revenge won't satisfy you, etc.

instead of, like: ‘when you’re defeated by your rival-friend, go on an exile and abandon your daughter’ or 'knowing that itachi killed innocent people, i'm planning to do the same'

all in all, we would get a really great character development and more meaningful ending, giving a good background for imagining (or really continuing it in boruto) how the shinobi system can change influenced by sasuke's village policy

anti LO anon opinions!

(1) Hades' speech in EP 123 def reads as Smythe directly talking to the audience who have pointed out how little he actually knows about her and that she'll "fix" it, but that was a self-made problem. She's the one who made the age gap creepy, she's the one who doesn't have them interact, she's the one who has this all compacted into two weeks, she's the one who wrote them as fundamentally incompatible in personality and aspirations. Her being "aware" of the problem is not actually fixing it.

(2) There's a conspiracy theory going around that the current editor to LO, who mentioned she doesn't like H/P, might be slowly ruining the ship from the inside out. I personally don't buy it, it gives the impression Smythe listens to others when we know she doesn't. I think she's just a bad writer who doesn't know how to get from point A to B and keeps digging herself into a deeper role because of her constant cheap twists and terribly pacing/characterization makes her version of H/P unviable.

(3) You know what i don't get about LO either? It has Hekate as Hades' assistant/best friend. Wasn't she in mythology not even involved with him or the underworld until he married Persephone? Why is another one of Persephone's actual relationships stolen from her and given to him once again? Even her friendships to Eros and Artemis are out of pity/flimsy, and Hera only cares about her in what she can provide to Hades. It makes me sad to see her stripped down so much for Hades' sake.

(4) I recall earlier on Webtoon on instagram actually posted a family tree of LO Characters. To prevent the whole incest elements, Rachel Smythe had Metis be the mother/creator of Demeter, Hera and Hestia; while Rhea/Kronos are the biological parents of the boys Zeus Poseidon and Hades. It doesn't make sense to erase the actual elements of incest in Greek mythology and the fact Ares is Persephone's cousin makes it grosser than then being half-siblings in the original Greek mythology version

(5) Candidates who are way better rulers/leaders of LO underworld: Nyx and Eberus, Hecate (she is like the only functional braincell of the rest of the characters), Styx, Cerberus, the list goes on for any one to be better candidate rules of the Underworld. Anyone but LO Hades and Persephone.

(6) I find it hilarious that Rachel Smythe tries to erase all the incest relationship and elements in LO to make it look clean. But capitalism, dictatorship, culling an entire village, degrading a barely legal young woman into objects, and defamation of notable Greek mythology figures to one-dimensional Tumblr stereotypes was a better choice. Like Hestia and Athena: they're actual aunt and niece in the myths (or sisters I'd Metis is the mom) but are dating in LO (which makes zero sense)

(7) in LO Demeter, Hera, and Hestia are all daughters of Metis for some reason but Rhea and Cronus are the parents of Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus so it's not incest from H/P. Really doesn't matter though since LO Persephone made out with her cousin (Ares) and apparently the "Old Gods" practiced incest anyway, likely meaning Rhea and Cronus are siblings and the Big Three are cousin siblings. It's so dumb.

Welp.. Thats it, here’s my Ranking on MilkCan: make it sweet and all of its tracks

(note some of the songs in this list is also from the game um jammer lammy but its been sung by Katy Kat’s VA Michelle Burks) Track 1 Keep your head up: Love the song! SUCH A BOP and wanted to animate the song but.. it was too dang stressful... Track 2. Fire Fire: Umm.. not my fav but then again the ingame song sung by the firefighter himself, well, not my tea but the instruamentles, Oh yeah IT SLAPS. overall, not bad, its neat Track 3. Birth song: Okay.. so the Orginal sung by the bunny couple is um.. well it was not my fav to say the least but, in the Album, Its actually really sweet and wholesome! honestly never thought this song will also be my fav. Track 4. Baby baby: Its not my fav but I would listen to this while bored out of mind while drawing something dumb. also, yes, the demon Child is singing along and in the background there’s the weird Cataplier nurse like ingame( NoW P u T t H e SE Ki dS tO Sl ee P! W ill YA?!) honestly this song, Pretty much sums up babysitting i guess Track 5. Fright Flight: This, This actually Slaps pretty hard! Honestly, I actually like this, Love the Vocals, Love the grunge Aesathics! but then again.. This was from that one plane stage where this guy who may/may not have been through a war and the stage itself does have a Grunge Feel to it so DUH... (also to add, i love how the album heck the game itself have so many genre of music that use guitars) Track 6. Casino in my hair: Hmm.. honestly, I’m a bit mixed, I’m sure that if I would listen to this track when I was little I would think it might be a Bop but now.. its just kinda meh..

Track 7. Power on, Power off: Um.. not my fav, I mean, it feels kinda a bit off in some cases but not too off putting. I honestly dont like it but im sure some people would think its a bop i guess... Track 8. Taste of Teriyaki: ... y a y.. fever dream from hell- I mean space. Okay so.. hm.. what to make of this, okay At first I was thinking it was gonna be a messy but actually, I kinda like it. weird? yes, But, honestly i got used to it and it pretty neat! I like it! I love it better than the ingame ver Track 9. Rammy’s theme: Okay to explain who the heck is Rammy, In Um jammer Lammy, Rammy is pretty much an Anti Lammy. She’s has a hatred of Lammy cause I guess she stole her gig? (idk i can really remember much about her at the moment) But yeah, her theme, It alright

Track 10. Got to move (millennium Girl): Okay.. this song, is a bit mix with me, cause, there’s a few moments where I find it a BOP but then there are some moments where its like, it alright i guess.. its just Okay.. Oh yeah and Parappa was there, forgot to mention about that.

Track 11. WE ARE MILKCAN!!: Honestly this track, feels like a charater interaction, which isnt a bad thing in fact it kinda gives us a little bit of background for the Band Members of Milkcan. but the song itself? its okay

Chapter 1: About Social Science

Ah! Social science! The subject I hated the most. I don’t know why, but I felt I was born to hate the subject. It was my destiny to hate it. Or something like that. But the teachers, oh Holmes, they were always so good that I always felt that, at least, I should study it for them. I believe that I always got the best of teachers available for Social Science. There are many interesting incidents related to the subject, especially during the 10th standard, when I was studying it for the last time.

To begin with, the most “ancient” incident which I can remember is during 7th standard. Well, we did not have only 1 S.Sc teachers that year. At first, the honour of teaching S.Sc to 7th D went to Dr. NSA (neither National Security Advisor nor National Security Agency). She had a PhD in Geography. I mean, how can a person be so tolerant, so as to complete a PhD in Geography. Come on, it’s not a joke, doing PhD and stuff like that.Well, after our Principal changed (Yes, our Principal also changed that same year. We’ll talk about her in later posts), she went through the qualifications of all the teachers. After going through the qualifications of Dr NSA, and she thought, “thodi padhi likhi hai, chalo isko 11th aur 12th class padhane ko de do.” (She is a little bit educated, let her teach 11th and 12th standard).

Yes, thodi (a little). These were the exact words used by Dr. NSA when I asked her about this thing three years later, in 10th standard, when she had come to our class for an arrangement period.

Well, returning back to 7th class. After our summer vacations, our time-table was changed, as were many of our teachers.

Our new social science teacher was Ms R. Whatever she taught for the next two months is a mystery. Yes, it remained a mystery until I studied the chapters myself. Well, the thing was that she was pregnant, and was to deliver her baby in September, and hence she had to complete our syllabus in the next two months only. Now she didn’t teach us the chapters from the book, but made us write ‘Questions & Answers’ in our notebooks (after all, these Q-As were going to come in the exam), and explained the chapters in a comprehensive manner.

Here I would like to mention a small anecdote of class seventh Summative Assessment 1. Just before the social science exam, I fell ill. I literally cried a lot the night before the exam. It’s was not that I had not studied at all, but I had not been able to complete my syllabus, especially geography. Also, I couldn’t read my SSc book, which is a crucial thing to do before an SSc exam. The next day, in the examination hall, when we all were studying, I told some of my friends about my “grievances”. They comforted me about the exam and I told them, quite honestly, that I was not expecting to score above 80 out of 90 marks.

The exam paper came. Questions were quite ridiculous. Yes, they are always ridiculous for someone who does not know the answers. I specially remember one particular question. Perhaps the circumstances presented by the question will not be amiss here.

Q. What do you think about Delhi as the capital of India?

Thinking: Here is a gentle question of an irritating type. Clearly, a tough question then. It has just come from the tropics, for it is written in dark ink, and that is not the natural tint of its text, for majority of the paper is white. He has undergone hardship and sickness, as his haggard kind of questioning says clearly. His right hand has been injured. He holds it in a stiff and unnatural manner: bent like (?). Where in the tropics could a Social Science question written in English have seen much hardship and got its arm wounded? Clearly in India. The whole train of thought did not occupy a second. I then remarked I did not know the answer to the question.

(for those who haven’t read Sherlock Holmes, it is an excerpt from “A Study in Scarlet”).

I then proceeded to answer as follows:

The genuine part:

Delhi is the capital of India. It was named capital of India 1911 by King George of England.

It’s area is about 4000 km2.

(I knew this because I had sometime checked it. Actually there was an article in the newspaper about good sci-fi movies and one movie involved a spaceship which had a diameter of 500 Km. I wanted to check whether this ship was bigger than Delhi or not)

Now the funny part:

It is a union territory.

But since it has a large population, it should now be made a state.

It has many tourist spots.

These are the points I could make out from my memory. Now, when I went to my bus, I took out ‘The Book of SSc’ and checked in the chapter ‘The State Government’ for the answer. It was there, a full-fledged, five marker answer; legitimate, elaborate, and complete. I repented about not reading the book, but alas, nothing could be done to stop the nature, or rather the answer sheet, from taking it course. I decided to let it go.

When the answer sheets were being distributed for reviewing by the students, I got really disheartened about how much I would have scored. Surprisingly I had scored 86 out of 90 marks. I couldn’t believe my eyes. When I set out to see how the hell that happened, for the first time in my life, I came across the true face of examination-checking in India. You can yourself calculate. I had a completely wrong answer to the above question, so I lost five marks, plus numerous small mistakes. Overall the totalling came out to be around 82 marks or so. I told our teacher about it. She took the paper and kept in the bundle, and said she would look to it. But I never got to know what happened to that. Oh! I forgot to introduce the new S.S. teacher that had come by then. She was Ms P. She was a 2008 pass-out from our school only, and had come to teach us now.

Ms R was a brilliant teacher. By brilliant, I mean literally a brilliant teacher. She had a unique way of teaching. Also, since she was not much older than us, she gave mouth thrashing answer to the misbehaviour of the mischievous children of our class. No, she did not use abusive language, but her subtle words were embarrassing enough.

Our eighth standard teacher was equally brilliant, Ms JS (not NodeJs or AngularJs). But she was quite serious, rather too serious, specially for a funny class like ours.

Ah! Finally the good tales begin. So here it goes. I was promoted to 9th-A, a Sanskrit section. Our S.Sc teacher was Mrs. LL. The funny thing was that she was actually known by this name, LL. At first some of my seniors told me that she is really a good teacher. But believe me, she wasn’t. She specialized in History, and consequently did not know how to teach other subjects. Trust me, she was really awful at Geography. She never completed her sentences, sought to teach only through presentations on smart board, made us write questions, but never clearly told us what the answers were. Here is a sample:

Well, you know, a piece from Indo-Australian plate came and stuck with our land, you know. (Making a collision kind of gesture through her hands). And then, you know….

Alas, we never knew. Now after completing three chapters in Geography and one in Economics, many children thought that they had had enough of her. They started a campaign. They wrote a letter addressing our in-charge to change our S.S. teacher because the current one was not good. Believe me, out of 48 students in the class, 33 signed. Of course, I didn’t, because I didn’t like to take part in such anti-teacher proceedings, because you never know what turn it might take on in future. The letter was sent twice. When Mrs LL came to know about this, she used to sarcastically remark on children yawning or talking in her class that

“Class mein sunna nahin hai, aur phir jab samajh nahin aata to pohunch jaate teacher change karvaane.”

(Don’t listen in the class, and when you don’t understand, you just go on trying to change the teacher.)

Well, our SSc teacher changed after summer vacations. It was Ms SL (not S.L. Loney, you dumb math enthusiasts).

She was a great teacher. Believe me. (Of course, you don’t have any other choice).

There is a particularly interesting incident related to Ms SL, which shows….. , well, nothing. As it happened, she was the mother of VM. I had known him for some time. But the major angle in this story is that he was a friend of some other students in our class.(No, he wasn’t my friend. I don’t make such friends). Going on, there was this chapter on ‘Peasants and Farmers’ in History. The marking for question and answers was going to start from the next day. But this VM told HT and PG that his mother was going to Goa the next day. As was expected from a friend, they believed him, and they did not bring their History books with them.

IN THE CLASS

Culprits: Ma’am, VM told us that you had gone to Goa. So we didn’t bring our books.

Executioner: Just think, if I had gone to Goa, wouldn’t I have taken VM with me?

I suppose silence will be good enough for the rest of the scene. Nothing happened. They were allowed to sit in the class, and as I had to go out of the class for some reason, I gave them my book.

Overall class 9th was the best class with reference to the horrid subject of Social Science.

And at last, here comes the best class of all.

Now this year our teacher was the veteran teacher, the most senior one in the school at that time, Mrs SS1. She was quite good towards me in the starting of the year. But then I started taking some days off the school. I used to ask a lot of questions in her class. So did others. When the first Unit Test (UT) was held, she gave quite a scolding to our class, and told the class (and I felt she was staring towards me) not to disturb her while she was teaching and ask the doubts later in the corridor. She felt her syllabus got behind the schedule because of this (which of course was not true). She said all this because we had performed poorly in the UT.

Now there are numerous small insignificant incidents involving me and her, but let us just shift towards the best ones for the sake of your interest in keeping reading this chapter.

She had grown quite hostile towards me (I mean she used to be quite irritated by me). We used to have 2 UTs in each ‘Term’ (we used to have 2 ‘Terms’ in a year) out of which the better one would be considered for the final result. As a consequence, I had studied only for the first UT in the second term and had scored quite well in that exam. This exam used to be of 30 marks. During the second UT I did not study at all. Probably I just gave a small reading to the chapter. It was “Nationalist Movement in Indo-China”. It is one of the worst chapters in 10th class History textbook (THE WORST ONE was “Print Culture and the Modern World”).

I scored 23 out 30. I was actually quite shocked to see that I had score this much. But SS1 ma’am was not happy at all. I got quite a something we Indian students call as lecture. Then of course there was TM. He was just like me. He left no chance of pulling the leg of other students. At that time he was acting as what we call as “ghee in havan”.

He says, “Ma’am, he did not study because he had scored very well in the previous one and he knows only the better one will considered.” I looked at him like this.

And there you go. A little more lines of taunt, and finally I was released.

Now we also had a revision test. It went terribly bad. Again I had not studied for it as it was not going to be considered for the final result. The day I gave this test, RB1 (another student in my class) had some work with SS1 ma’am. It was probably mid-day. M1 sir (a fine-arts teacher) was present in the class. He asked me to take him to ma’am. I was walking casually. I tried not to look at RB1 as I disliked him very much. I went straight into the staff room. SS1 ma’am was sitting there checking papers! Well I did not quite observe it at first. But there was the bundle on her table on one side and there was a paper turned upside down in front of her with her signatures in the end. It meant that that paper had been checked quite recently. I raised my neck to see whose paper was it. Holy Holmes! It was my paper. How could I have such an ill-luck.

Well, SS1 ma’am started talking to RB1, and I said to myself, “bhag le beta yahan se” (run off from this place, you scum).

I crept out quite stealthily, but alas, as I was just going to open the door, I heard a sound saying “_____” in a stretched manner. I turned. No doubt I was being called for my execution. And then I was given quite a lecture again on me not studying Social Science. But there was Ms MM1 sitting there alongside SS1 ma’am. She asked me what was I planning to take in 11th, and when I told I was going to take science, she patted me and said to SS1 ma’am while laughing “chhod de na yaar ise” (leave him dear). Well I promised her that I will study for the finals sincerely.

(Note: Ms MM1 taught chemistry to 11th and 12th class, and I didn’t know back then she would be my Chemistry teacher in 12th class. It’s not good to talk of her here, she deserves one whole chapter herself.)

Our school used to organise a “havan” for 10th leaving students before the finals. After the havan, our teachers used to shower us with flower petals as a form of blessing. When SS1 ma’am came, she threw the flowers forcefully at me while yelling “sabse ganda paper kiya hai tune _______” (you have performed the worst in the paper). Of course that wasn’t true. I was bad, but I was not that bad. Everyone started laughing, but, BG ma’am (our class teacher back then) heard that. And the glare she gave me! I would never forget those eyes. Well I assured her that I would perform well in the finals.

There were some more incidents which took prior to the above mentioned one, though they were less humorous. Once SS1 ma’am was teaching the chapter “Print Culture And Media”. There was a section about scribes who used to copy the books in “beautiful handwriting”. Well, I asked ma’am from where the scribes got their copies from. And there you go. Again I was terribly mocked by her. Whenever I was absent (yes, never when I was present in the class), she used to say in the class “Chalo achcha hua aaj _____ nahin aaya. Itne faaltu saval poochhta hai ki ma’am suraj east se kyun nikalta hai, ya fir hum breakfast subah hi kyun karte hain”, (it’s good that _____ is not present today. He asks such stupid questions like why does the sun rise from the east, or why do we have breakfast in the morning only), though I certainly never asked such questions.

Once SS1 ma’am asked our class who would like to explain the chapter “Transportation” to the class. NB1 (one of my best and oldest friend) raised his hand. He came in front of the class and started explaining the chapter. I and my friends left no chance of pulling each other’s legs. I repeatedly asked NB1 questions which were quite irritating. Well, he answered them. Then ma’am stopped him and asked someone else to continue where NB1 had left. I went there. I started explaining the chapter now. Now, it was NB1’s chance. He stared putting questions to me. After answering some questions, I felt quite irritated (add to that not knowing the answers), I yelled at him to sit down, and asked him to come to me after the class to take his doubts, and told him harshly that I had to complete my syllabus. (The funny thing here is that SS1 ma’am used to say the same lines whenever she got irritated by the questions, but the difference is that she used to know the answers). Everyone enjoyed this thing, including SS1 ma’am. She said to me “very good beta. Jaa baith jaa” (very good child, now go and sit down).

I did not have Social Sciences as my subject in higher classes (thank God!). Although I used to meet all the teachers now and then. SS1 ma’am retired from her job after that academic year, though she kept visiting the school because of her Rotoract-club duties. Once our class was in the basement for our Computer Science practical, and there she was! I don’t know why, but nostalgia overpowers me whenever I see someone I haven’t seen in a long time. So there we (I and RM1) to go and greet her. Our CS teacher NA1 also came out of her lab and they hugged (apparently they were friends!). SS1 ma’am says to NA1, “Sabse achchhe bachche the meri class ke. Bade pyaare bachche hain!” (they were the best students of my class. They are just lovely kids). And I thought “Oh really???? Oh reallyyyyy??? Why didn’t you never said this in class?”

A person asked the question, "Why are people so hostile towards President Donald Trump?"

Chris O'Leary:

Before you pass my answer off as “Another Liberal Snowflake” consider that

1.) I'm an independent centrist who has voted Republican way more often in my life than Democrat, and

2.) If you want to call someone who spent the entire decade of his 20’s serving in the Marine Corps a snowflake, I’d be ready to answer the question what did you do with your 20’s?

Why Liberals (And not-so liberals) are against President Trump.

A.) He lies. A LOT. Politifact rates 69% of the words he speaks as “Mostly False or worse” Only 17% of the things he says get a “Mostly True” or better rating. That is an absolutely unbelievable number. How he doesn’t speak more truth by mistake is beyond me. To put it in context, Obama’s rating was 26% mostly false or worse, and I had a problem with that. Many of Trump’s former business associates report that he has always been a compulsive liar, but now he’s the President of the United States, and that’s a problem. And this is a man who expects you to believe him when he points at other people and says “They’re lying”

B.) He’s an authoritarian populist, not a conservative. He advances regressive social policy while proposing to expand federal spending and federalist authority over states, both of which conservatives are supposed to hate.

C.) He pretends at Christianity to court the Religious Right but fails to live anything resembling a Christ-Like Life.

D.) His nationalist “America First” message effectively alienates us and removes us from our place as leaders in the international community.

E.) His ideas on “Keeping us safe” are all thinly veiled ideas to remove our freedoms, he is, after all, an authoritarian first. They also are simply bad ideas.

F.) He couldn’t pass a 3rd-grade civics exam. He doesn't’ know what he’s doing. He doesn't understand how international relations work, he doesn’t understand how federal state or local governments work, and every time someone tries to “Run it like a business” it’s a spectacular failure. See Colorado Springs’ recent history as an example. The Short, Unhappy Life of a Libertarian Paradise And that was a businessman with a MUCH better business track record than Trump. We are talking about a man who lost money owning a freaking gambling casino.

G.) He behaves unethicaly and always has. As a businessman, he constantly left in his wake unpaid contractors and invoices, litigation, broken promises, whatever he could get away with.

H.) He is damaging our relationships with our best international friends while kissing up to nations that do not have our best interests in mind. To his question “Wouldn't’ it be great to have better relations with Russia?” The answer is Yes. But it is RUSSIA who needs to earn that, who must stop doing the things that are damaging to that relationship, or we are simply weaker for it.

I.) He has never seen a shortcut he didn't like, and you can’t take shortcuts in government. “Nuclear Option, Remove the Filibuster, I’ll change the Constitution by Executive Order…Don…what happens when you remove the filibuster and the other side retakes the majority in the Senate? Suddenly want that filibuster back? What happens if you manage to change the Constitution by Executive Order and an Anti-2A President wins the next election?

J.) He behaves and has always behaved as an unabashed racist. Yes, I’ve seen your favorite meme that claims he was never accused of racism before the Democrats…Absolutely false. Donald Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2019 See the Central Park 5, the lawsuits and fines resulting from his refusal to lease to black tenants, the 1992 lost appeal trying to overturn penalties for removing black dealers from tables, his remarks to the house native American affairs subcommittee in 1993. The man sees and treats racial groups of people as monoliths.

K.) He is systematically steamrolling regulations specifically designed to keep a disaster like the 2007 subprime mortgage crisis from happening again.

L.) He speaks and acts like a demagogue. He sees the Legislative and Judicial branches of government as inconveniences, blows up at criticism no matter how deserved and actively tries to countermand constitutional processes, not to mention attempts to blackmail and coerce people who are saying negative things about him

M.) His choices for top positions, with the exception of Gen. Mattis, who is a gem, have been horrendous. A secretary of Education without a resume that would get her hired as a small town grammar school principal, A secretary of Energy who didn't know the Department of Energy was responsible for nuclear reserves, an EPA head whose biggest accomplishments to date had been suing the EPA on multiple occasions, an FCC head who while working for Verizon actively lobbied to kill net neutrality, and an Attorney General who thinks pot is “nearly as bad as heroin” and asked Congress for permission to go after legal pot businesses in states where it is legal. (There goes that great Republican States rights rally cry again, right? *Crickets*) An Interim AG after Firing his First AG who’s appointment is probably unconstitutional.

N.) He denies scientific fact. Ever notice that the only people you hear denying climate change are politicians and lobbyists? 99% of actual scientists studying the issue agree that it’s real, man-made and caused by greenhouse gasses. Ever notice that every big disaster movie starts with a bunch of politicians in a room ignoring a scientist's warning?

0.) He does not have the temperament to lead this nation. He is Thin Skinned, childish, and a bully, never mind misogynistic, boorish, rude, and incapable of civil discourse.

P.) He still does not understand that the words he speaks, or tweets, are the official position of 1/3 of the US government, and so does not govern his words. He still thinks when he speaks it’s good ol’ Donald Trump. It’s not. It’s the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. You have probably spread a meme or two around talking about how no president’s every word has ever been dissected before…YES, THEY ALWAYS HAVE. It’s just that every other president in our lifetime has understood the importance of his words and took great care to govern his speech. Trump blurts out whatever comes to his mind then complains when people talk about what a dumb thing that was to say.

Q.) He’s unqualified. If you owned a small business and were looking for someone to manage it, and an unnamed resume came across your desk and you saw 6 bankruptcies, showing a man who had failed to make money running CASINOS, would you hire him? He is a very poor businessman. This is a man it has been estimated would have been worth $10 BILLION more if he’d just taken what his father had given him, invested it in Index Funds and left it alone.

R.) He is President. But he refuses to take a leadership position and understand that he is everyone’s President. Conservatives complain about liberals chanting “Not my President” while Trump himself behaves as if no one but his supporters matter.

S.) He’s a blatant hypocrite. He spent 8 years bitching Obama out for his family trips, or golfing, or any time he took for himself, and what does he do? He was already on his 20th golf outing in APRIL of his 1st year in office. He constantly rants about respect for the military, yet can’t be bothered to attend the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day because of a little rain. (And that excuse about Marine One not being able to fly in the rain is HILARIOUS.)

T.) He’s a misogynist. It's not really ok in this day and age to be a misogynist, but it’s not a huge deal if you’re a private citizen. It’s a pretty big deal if you hate half the people you’re elected to lead. The disdain for women seeps out of his …whatever…. and he just can’t hide it.

U.) Face it. In any other election “Grab Em’ By the Pussy” would have been the end of that candidate’s chances. Back in the 90’s I used to marvel about how Teflon Bill Clinton was. I no longer do. The fact that he managed to slip by on that is as much a statement about how much people hate Hillary Clinton as it is about what is wrong with politics in this country right now.

V.) He has one response to a differing opinion. Attack. A good leader listens to criticism, to different points of view, is capable of self-reflection, tries to guide people to his point of view, and when necessary stands his ground and defends his convictions. Any of that sound like Trump? His default is not to Lead, its’ to attack. Scorched Earth. The Jim Acosta reaction is a good example. There was no defense of his convictions when Acosta was asking him repeated questions about his rhetoric on the caravan. His response was to attack Acosta.

W.) He takes credit for everything positive while deflecting blame for everything negative. Look at him with the Stock Market. He’s been bragging about it since day one, and to give credit where credit is due, speculation on coming deregulation early in his presidency did fuel some rapid growth, but to pretend that it’s all him, that we’re not in the 9th year of the longest bull market in history and THEN, when the standard market volatility that deregulation inevitably brings about starts to show up? Yeah. Look at yesterday. Hey! Stock Markets losing because the Democrats won! Do I need to bring out the Stock market chart for the last 10 Years again?

X.) He emboldens the worst among us. Counter-protesters are slammed into by a car while countering actual Nazi rally, and the response is there’s fault on “Both Sides” The media is at fault for a nut job sending them and Donald’s favorite targets pipe bombs. The truth is not all Republicans, not all Trump Supporters are racist, fascist lunatics. Many are just taken in by the bombastic personality and are living in an information bubble made worse by the fact that they unfollow anyone and ignore any source of information that makes them feel uncomfortable. People on the left do that too. The Biggest problem the right has right now is that the worst of the Right is the loudest and the most in your face, and the actual right, especially the Freaking PRESIDENT needs to be standing up and saying No. Those are not our values.

Y.) He seems to think the Constitution of The United States, the document that IS who we are, the document he took an oath to support and defend is some sort of inconvenience. He demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of Constitution, from believing he can alter the 14th through executive order, to thinking The free exercise clause in the first amendment somehow supersedes the establishment clause (not that he really understands either) or that the free exercise clause only applies to Christians. Or his attacks on freedom of expression and the press. He repeatedly makes it clear that if he’s read them, he does not understand Articles 1–3, and that’s something he really should have before he took the job, because they’re not going away.

Z.) I’ll use Z for something I do blame him for, but the rest of us have to carry the blame too. Polarization. This country is more politically polarized than I can remember in my lifetime. Some of you who are a few years older than I may remember how it was in the late 60’s when construction workers in New York were being applauded for beating up hippies, I think it’s pretty close to that right now, but that was before my time. And he is the cause of much of the current level polarization, but also the result. It didn't’ start with Trump. We’ve been going down this road I think since the eruption of the Tea Party in the early years of the Obama Administration. I do hope the tide turns before it gets much worse because the thing that scares me more than anything is what if that keeps going the way it has been? "

Who’s dumber, Trump or the “Intelligence Community”?

I won’t keep you in suspense. IT’S TRUMP! The bad news—or, I guess, the worse news—is, it’s a close contest. And the worst news—for now—is that it’s not just funny dumb but, all too likely, disastrous dumb. Because the real objective for both sides—though they’re choosing different routes—is a new Cold War, with ever-tightening tensions, ever-emerging “crises”, and ever-mounting defense budgets as far as the eye can see. That $700 billion defense budget, for example. Don’t you find that a little bit embarrassing? How about $1,000,000,000,000? You know, a solid trillion! Isn’t that more American? Isn’t that how we roll?

Well, oy vey, oy vey, is all I can say. A week ago or so, our “intelligence chiefs”, aka the “Military Intellectual Complex”, a gag that has taken me a full decade to come up with, reported to Congress that, as the New York Times explained it “North Korea is unlikely to dismantle its nuclear arsenal, that the Islamic State group remains a threat and that the Iran nuclear deal is working. The chiefs made no mention of a crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border for which Trump has considered declaring a national emergency.”

If you’ve keeping up with the news, you know that Trump didn’t take kindly to the “chiefs”— FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats—dissing his priorities and inserting their own, calling their comments “extremely passive and naïve”, which is what they could have said about him.

As Scott Ritter, writing for the American Conservative, points out, the American intelligence community has a long history of getting it wrong:

In this case, Trump is right and his detractors are wrong.

The current crop of national intelligence chiefs are cut from the same cloth as their predecessors. They are careerists who have risen to the top not through their analytical or operational talents, but through their willingness to conform to a system that is designed not to challenge conventional thinking—especially when such thinking sustains policies that have been given the imprimatur of the entrenched establishment.

That’s definitely true, and Ritter goes on to detail the number of times the CIA et al. have gotten it all wrong at the behest of their political masters. But Trump’s major beef with the Military Intellectual Complex is that it isn’t obedient enough to his every claim—because, of course, Trump believes that it’s the job of every government employee to give him unlimited and unstinted personal loyalty. If Trump had his way, the MIC would be praising him for averting a major war with North Korea, thanks to his warm personal relationship with best bud (one of them, at least) Kim Jong Un, not to mention how withdrawing from the agreement with Iran guarantees that that nation will never acquire nuclear weapons and indeed all but guarantees the complete collapse of the evil mullahs in the very near future.

What’s worse—much worse, in fact—beyond this affront to Trump’s massive, and massively unstable, l’amour-propre—is that—given the way of the world—the world of DC, at least—the future of American foreign policy is likely to be a malign, split the difference mish-mash of the worst of both Trump’s and the MIC’s competing “visions”. The myth of the Trump-Kim Jong Un bludbruterschaft will fade, but the myth that North Korea’s nuclear weapons constitute an “existential threat” to the U.S. will be dusted off and brandished whenever peace is in danger of breaking out. While Trump may actually succeed in getting U.S. troops out of Syria and Afghanistan, that victory may be more than cancelled out by his compulsive determination to kick some as of yet unspecified ass in Iran as Trump, both led on and enabled by National Security Advisor and war whisperer in chief Tom Bolton, keeps ratcheting up the tension, sure that something cool and electorally advantageous will happen if he just keeps on poking and prodding long enough and hard enough.

In the meantime, of course, Trump keeps antagonizing China, while Congress keeps antagonizing Russia. There is much not to like about both nations. One has a de facto authoritarian president for life and the other a fuehrer de jure. One seeks to expand a “philosophy” of reactionary chauvinism in Europe, while the other seeks to recover—really, to invent—its “natural role” as the dominant economic and cultural force throughout Asia. Both nations are harassing the U.S. in a variety of unattractive ways, but both are, literally, at the opposite ends of the earth from the U.S.1

Russia, whose economic sophistication is still decades behind the West, Germany in particular, is an annoyance far more than a danger, though Putin, lustily waving his nuclear weapons, which he would never dare use—for what could he gain that would be worth the nuclear holocaust that the U.S., Britain, and France could and would all inflict upon him?—is less of a danger. Back in the day, President Eisenhower used to say “There won’t be a war. Khrushchev knows that, no matter what, I can always destroy Moscow, and there’s nothing he wants so much that he’ll give up Moscow to get it,” words that are a thousand times more true today than back in the fifties.

The real danger of nuclear weapons is the triggering of their use by accident, confusion, or misinterpretation of the other side’s actions. During the Cuban missile crisis, Soviet anti-aircraft installations in Cuba had strict orders not to shoot at U.S. planes flying overhead, but one Soviet officer fired anyway, when he saw the Cubans doing so. “We were here to protect our Cuban brothers,” he explained. On several occasions, U.S. surface ships dropped “warning” depth charges near nuclear-armed Soviet submarines. See, because it didn’t hit you, it was a warning shot. So you shouldn’t feel threatened. If we wanted to kill you, you’d already be dead. That’s the difference.

Trump, by abrogating our treaty with Russia regarding intermediate-range missiles, has given the Pentagon an exceedingly early Christmas present. It’s clear that Trump likes breaking treaties—it feels so manly. I suspect that Trump wants another arms race. It’s fun spending money, and maybe, just maybe, he could build the world’s biggest bomb, or the world’s biggest, well, the world’s biggest penis shaped object, a goal that seems to exert a fascination over many billionaires, both real and imaginary.

It is bad enough to get into a nuclear pissing match with a pissant2 country like Russia, which is spacious in the possession of dirt but has a defense budget less than a tenth the size of ours, about $61 billion in 2017—buying, of course, that wonderful Russian technology, which is light years in advance of our own, if you believe Comrade Putin, not to mention those professional liars in the Pentagon and elsewhere, and even else-elsewhere. But getting into a shoving match with China is a whole ’nother level of stupidity, and danger.

China, unlike Russia, is a true “rival” to the United States, something that we have never really experienced before. The Soviet Union certainly sought world leadership, and had the advantage of millions of true believers in the great 20th century myth of “the Revolution”, when those who had nothing would at once have everything, while China “only” has its massive size and steadily growing economy as a fit vehicle for dominating the Asian landmass in a manner somewhat similar to the dominance of the United States in the Western Hemisphere. Such strange presumption!

Sadly, it’s not only Trump and the MIC that want to get into a pissing match with China. Elizabeth Warren wants in on the action as well, claiming that we must not lose our technological lead over China. Here’s a news flash, Lizzie: no country keeps its technological advantage forever. Something that can be done once can be done again. Great Britain was the world’s workshop from about 1770 to 1870, but after that both the U. S. and Germany caught up swiftly. The U.S. was easily the world’s leading industrial nation by 1914, a lead that widened enormously when Europe all but blew itself up in first World War I and World War II. Yet by 1975, both Japan and Germany were challenging the U.S. for supremacy in the world market for passenger automobiles, an industry that the U.S. had of course invented. One decade later, the U.S. had clearly lost the “race” for dominance in the market for home entertainment electronics, something else we had invented.

Still, the U.S. had a huge, educated, homogeneous population and an unmatched system of higher education, which helped us first create and then dominate the whole field of digital electronics. But China, in a matter of decades, has emerged from a state of self ruin imposed by blind ideological obsessions to the modern age, with a population four times the size of the U.S. There is no reason why China should not emerge as a “giant” Germany, or a “giant” Japan, or, indeed, a “giant” U.S. There is no trick the U.S. can play to turn back the clock. It’s quite possible that China’s swerve to authoritarianism may ultimately lead to a stultified, self-destructive society (which, of course, would present significant dangers in its own right), but it’s also possible that, in fifty years, China’s economy could be twice the size of our own. Trying to apply the “lessons of the past”, when the U.S., in league with Great Britain and the Soviet Union, defeated Nazi Germany, with the odds seven to one in our favor (in terms of uniformed troops), and when the U.S., in league with western Europe and Japan, defeated the Soviet Union, with an economy less than half the size of the U.S. economy alone, could be literally self-defeating.

As I’ve complained before, the “left” promotes almost no reasoned opposition to the MIC, when indeed it isn’t simply repeating its talking points in less hysterical tones. Even though right-wing hawks constantly accused President Obama of being “soft” on North Korea—because if he were “firm” the commies would have surrendered immediately—the Obama Administration pushed the myth of the Korean menace as much as the Bush Administration, whose “toughness” resulted in the development of the Korean bomb in the first place. Obama, whose opposition to nuclear weapons was “sincere”—at least he thought so—apparently thought it was disastrous for any nation without nuclear weapons to acquire them, even while signing off on a trillion-dollar, entirely unnecessary, renovation of our nuclear inventory, thanks to the massive inertia of the MIC, the almost complete lack of interest on the part of liberal voters on any subject related to foreign and military policy, and the almost complete obeisance of Congress to military contractors.

Liberals are happy to ridicule the split between Trump and the MIC, but they almost always accept the MIC talking points as a convenient stick to beat Trump, without noticing or caring that they’re also promoting a new Cold War as well. It’s just that Trump’s Cold War is all about feeding Trump’s ego, while the MIC’s Cold War is all about maintaining the careers of thousands of hard-nosed, hard-working bureaucrats, both in and out of uniform, who don’t want to admit that they’re a solution in search of a problem.

Afterwords If I’ve skimped on the whole Middle East aspect of this thing, and I certainly have, well, there’s a limit to the amount of angst that I can ventilate in one sitting.

[this must be from Quora; I took it from a fb post; I like it] A person answered the question, "Why are people so hostile towards President Donald Trump?". Chris O'Leary: I’ll take a stab at this. Before you pass my answer off as “Another Liberal Snowflake” consider that 1.) I'm an independent centrist who has voted Republican way more often in my life than Democrat, and 2.) if you want to call someone who spent the entire decade of his 20’s serving in the Marine Corps a snowflake, I’d be ready to answer the question what did you do with your 20’s? Why Liberals (And not-so liberals) are against President Trump. A.) He lies. A LOT. Politifact rates 69% of the words he speaks as “Mostly False or worse” Only 17% of the things he says get a “Mostly True” or better rating. That is an absolutely unbelievable number. How he doesn’t speak more truth by mistake is beyond me. To put it in context, Obama’s rating was 26% mostly false or worse, and I had a problem with that. Many of Trump’s former business associates report that he has always been a compulsive liar, but now he’s the President of the United States, and that’s a problem. And this is a man who expects you to believe him when he points at other people and says “They’re lying” B.) He’s an authoritarian populist, not a conservative. He advances regressive social policy while proposing to expand federal spending and federalist authority over states, both of which conservatives are supposed to hate. C.) He pretends at Christianity to court the Religious Right but fails to live anything resembling a Christ-Like Life. D.) His nationalist “America First” message effectively alienates us and removes us from our place as leaders in the international community. E.) His ideas on “Keeping us safe” are all thinly veiled ideas to remove our freedoms, he is, after all, an authoritarian first. They also are simply bad ideas. F.) He couldn’t pass a 3rd-grade civics exam. He doesn't’ know what he’s doing. He doesn't understand how international relations work, he doesn’t understand how federal state or local governments work, and every time someone tries to “Run it like a business” it’s a spectacular failure. See Colorado Springs’ recent history as an example. The Short, Unhappy Life of a Libertarian Paradise And that was a businessman with a MUCH better business track record than Trump. We are talking about a man who lost money owning a freaking gambling casino. G.) He behaves unethicaly and always has. As a businessman, he constantly left in his wake unpaid contractors and invoices, litigation, broken promises, whatever he could get away with. H.) He is damaging our relationships with our best international friends while kissing up to nations that do not have our best interests in mind. To his question “Wouldn't’ it be great to have better relations with Russia?” The answer is Yes. But it is RUSSIA who needs to earn that, who must stop doing the things that are damaging to that relationship, or we are simply weaker for it. I.) He has never seen a shortcut he didn't like, and you can’t take shortcuts in government. “Nuclear Option, Remove the Filibuster, I’ll change the Constitution by Executive Order…Don…what happens when you remove the filibuster and the other side retakes the majority in the Senate? Suddenly want that filibuster back? What happens if you manage to change the Constitution by Executive Order and an Anti-2A President wins the next election? J.) He behaves and has always behaved as an unabashed racist. Yes, I’ve seen your favorite meme that claims he was never accused of racism before the Democrats…Absolutely false. Donald Trump’s long history of racism, from the 1970s to 2019 See the Central Park 5, the lawsuits and fines resulting from his refusal to lease to black tenants, the 1992 lost appeal trying to overturn penalties for removing black dealers from tables, his remarks to the house native American affairs subcommittee in 1993. The man sees and treats racial groups of people as monoliths. K.) He is systematically steamrolling regulations specifically designed to keep a disaster like the 2007 subprime mortgage crisis from happening again. L.) He speaks and acts like a demagogue. He sees the Legislative and Judicial branches of government as inconveniences, blows up at criticism no matter how deserved and actively tries to countermand constitutional processes, not to mention attempts to blackmail and coerce people who are saying negative things about him M.) His choices for top positions, with the exception of Gen. Mattis, who is a gem, have been horrendous. A secretary of Education without a resume that would get her hired as a small town grammar school principal, A secretary of Energy who didn't know the Department of Energy was responsible for nuclear reserves, an EPA head whose biggest accomplishments to date had been suing the EPA on multiple occasions, an FCC head who while working for Verizon actively lobbied to kill net neutrality, and an Attorney General who thinks pot is “nearly as bad as heroin” and asked Congress for permission to go after legal pot businesses in states where it is legal. (There goes that great Republican States rights rally cry again, right? *Crickets*) An Interim AG after Firing his First AG who’s appointment is probably unconstitutional. N.) He denies scientific fact. Ever notice that the only people you hear denying climate change are politicians and lobbyists? 99% of actual scientists studying the issue agree that it’s real, man-made and caused by greenhouse gasses. Ever notice that every big disaster movie starts with a bunch of politicians in a room ignoring a scientist's warning? 0.) He does not have the temperament to lead this nation. He is Thin Skinned, childish, and a bully, never mind misogynistic, boorish, rude, and incapable of civil discourse. P.) He still does not understand that the words he speaks, or tweets, are the official position of 1/3 of the US government, and so does not govern his words. He still thinks when he speaks it’s good ol’ Donald Trump. It’s not. It’s the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. You have probably spread a meme or two around talking about how no president’s every word has ever been dissected before…YES, THEY ALWAYS HAVE. It’s just that every other president in our lifetime has understood the importance of his words and took great care to govern his speech. Trump blurts out whatever comes to his mind then complains when people talk about what a dumb thing that was to say. Q.) He’s unqualified. If you owned a small business and were looking for someone to manage it, and an unnamed resume came across your desk and you saw 6 bankruptcies, showing a man who had failed to make money running CASINOS, would you hire him? He is a very poor businessman. This is a man it has been estimated would have been worth $10 BILLION more if he’d just taken what his father had given him, invested it in Index Funds and left it alone. R.) He is President. But he refuses to take a leadership position and understand that he is everyone’s President. Conservatives complain about liberals chanting “Not my President” while Trump himself behaves as if no one but his supporters matter. S.) He’s a blatant hypocrite. He spent 8 years bitching Obama out for his family trips, or golfing, or any time he took for himself, and what does he do? He was already on his 20th golf outing in APRIL of his 1st year in office. He constantly rants about respect for the military, yet can’t be bothered to attend the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day because of a little rain. (And that excuse about Marine One not being able to fly in the rain is HILARIOUS.) T.) He’s a misogynist. It's not really ok in this day and age to be a misogynist, but it’s not a huge deal if you’re a private citizen. It’s a pretty big deal if you hate half the people you’re elected to lead. The disdain for women seeps out of his …whatever…. and he just can’t hide it. U.) Face it. In any other election “Grab Em’ By the Pussy” would have been the end of that candidate’s chances. Back in the 90’s I used to marvel about how Teflon Bill Clinton was. I no longer do. The fact that he managed to slip by on that is as much a statement about how much people hate Hillary Clinton as it is about what is wrong with politics in this country right now. V.) He has one response to a differing opinion. Attack. A good leader listens to criticism, to different points of view, is capable of self-reflection, tries to guide people to his point of view, and when necessary stands his ground and defends his convictions. Any of that sound like Trump? His default is not to Lead, its’ to attack. Scorched Earth. The Jim Acosta reaction is a good example. There was no defense of his convictions when Acosta was asking him repeated questions about his rhetoric on the caravan. His response was to attack Acosta. W.) He takes credit for everything positive while deflecting blame for everything negative. Look at him with the Stock Market. He’s been bragging about it since day one, and to give credit where credit is due, speculation on coming deregulation early in his presidency did fuel some rapid growth, but to pretend that it’s all him, that we’re not in the 9th year of the longest bull market in history and THEN, when the standard market volatility that deregulation inevitably brings about starts to show up? Yeah. Look at yesterday. Hey! Stock Markets losing because the Democrats won! Do I need to bring out the Stock market chart for the last 10 Years again? X.) He emboldens the worst among us. Counter-protesters are slammed into by a car while countering actual Nazi rally, and the response is there’s fault on “Both Sides” The media is at fault for a nut job sending them and Donald’s favorite targets pipe bombs. The truth is not all Republicans, not all Trump Supporters are racist, fascist lunatics. Many are just taken in by the bombastic personality and are living in an information bubble made worse by the fact that they unfollow anyone and ignore any source of information that makes them feel uncomfortable. People on the left do that too. The Biggest problem the right has right now is that the worst of the Right is the loudest and the most in your face, and the actual right, especially the Freaking PRESIDENT needs to be standing up and saying No. Those are not our values. Y.) He seems to think the Constitution of The United States, the document that IS who we are, the document he took an oath to support and defend is some sort of inconvenience. He demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of Constitution, from believing he can alter the 14th through executive order, to thinking The free exercise clause in the first amendment somehow supersedes the establishment clause (not that he really understands either) or that the free exercise clause only applies to Christians. Or his attacks on freedom of expression and the press. He repeatedly makes it clear that if he’s read them, he does not understand Articles 1–3, and that’s something he really should have before he took the job, because they’re not going away. Z.) I’ll use Z for something I do blame him for, but the rest of us have to carry the blame too. Polarization. This country is more politically polarized than I can remember in my lifetime. Some of you who are a few years older than I may remember how it was in the late 60’s when construction workers in New York were being applauded for beating up hippies, I think it’s pretty close to that right now, but that was before my time. And he is the cause of much of the current level polarization, but also the result. It didn't’ start with Trump. We’ve been going down this road I think since the eruption of the Tea Party in the early years of the Obama Administration. I do hope the tide turns before it gets much worse because the thing that scares me more than anything is what if that keeps going the way it has been?

Hey, here’s some things that may or may not be surprising! I’m a filthy Homestuck and I have a trollsona! Thanks to @trina-of-doom @smoge16 and @karenusia for helping me develop him. And as much as he hates to admit it, he’s much better at writing romance. The Wordsmith looks like this.

•He doesn’t really care about his appearence and will often just leave the house looking like he just rolled out of bed.

•the most organized thing he has is a tiny black notebook he keeps in his pocket. He occasionally uses it to write any ideas he randomly has so he doesn’t forget them.

•his planet when he enters the medium is the Land of Blood and Ink. A pretty dark world with a large, ink-black ocean and the occasional blood-red thunderstorm.

•the consorts of this world are iguanas.

•his denizen is named Kalamos, and he looks like this.

• his hive is a dark looking castle that hangs on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. His lusus lives in the ocean directly below his hive. It looks similar to this.

•his preferred method of communication is needlessly stupid. He uses a typewriter that just projects a screen out. It’s really heavy and cumbersome and he could just use a laptop but it wouldn’t fit his aesthetic™

•he also has a cellphone that he uses when he needs to but he prefers the typewriter.

•his sprite is a bust of Edgar Allan Poe that he kept in his bedroom. Its name is Poesprite.
