A/N: Hi, thank you for the ask, I decided to add those two asks together as they're similar. Thank you so much for the kind words! It gives me the motivation to write better and longer. Also, sorry for the delay, had to spend good time on this one.

If you ask any of the bachelorettes what they think of each other, they would give varying answers. However, one thing would be similar: a slight distrust in their judgement. You know the saying about a glass house and a rock? Well, they don't.

"Abigail," murmured Leah, her form tense like a bowstring.

"…Leah," answered Abigail, her eyes narrowed suspiciously at the tall, artistic woman.

Both of them stood outside the farmer's house, the darkness of the night painting their features to be sharper, the shadows accentuating the distrust between them. The tension was thick in the cool midnight air, the sway of trees barely catching the bachelorettes' attention. Leah's broad shoulders were pushed back, her stance wide and determined. Abigail stood just as sharp, her blue eyes appraising her rival, preparing for any sudden action.

The tension was cut by another figure stepping from the shadows, timid posture throwing off Leah's and Abigail's bristle. Penny looked curiously at both women, her hands clutching a small basket by her hip.

"Oh, hey girls," she said, her soft voice calm and casual.

"Hi, Penny!" exclaimed Abigail, her voice rising to a higher pitch.

"Hey, Penny," nodded Leah, her fists unclenching subtly as she flashed across small smile.

Despite the calmer atmosphere, three women stood tense and hesitant. Leah found it easier to square off with Abigail than other bachelorettes. No mind games, no weird tension, just pure rivalry.

Before the situation became even more awkward, the other two figures stepped into view. Emily moved energetically through the darkness, her smile never wavering. Maru walked calmly after her, her glasses reflecting the moonlight and covering her expression.

"This feels premeditated now," sighed Abigail, her eyes raking dangerously over the women who joined them in the dark of the night.

"Oh, ladies, you came to see dear farmer too?" asked Emily happily, her eyes shining knowingly. She shifted her gaze to the log ladden house, teeth flashing in her smile.

"Yeah, I'm guessing you two had something with a farmer?" asked Penny, her finger tapping her basket in thought.

"You could say that," murmured Maru, her voice low as she stared longingly at the house. "I promised to check her TV."

"At night?" asked Leah, her voice sudden and gravely. Another bead of silence filled the air as each bachelorette silently regarded the weirdness of their actions. Right, each of them had a totally normal reason to be here in the dead of night.

"Oh my god, why the fuck are all of you here too?" an annoyed voice hissed as another shadow escaped the tree line, blonde hair bouncing around blue angry eyes. Haley stood by the door to the farmer's house, her body coiled like a spring. She shot irritated looks at each woman standing before her, except Penny.

"Ah, it seems we all find solace in farmer's attention," mused Emily, her lips pursed in thought. "Same time, same place. Is anyone going to admit why they're actually here?"

No one uttered a word, the tension growing heavier with each side eye. Maru finally stepped forth to the porch, her red eyes narrowed behind the blue tint of her glasses.

"Well then, if all masks are off, we can discuss farmer openly," she noted coldly, fishing out her phone from her pocket. She opened an app, a camera feed flickering in the small device. A bump under a blanket indicated a snoring farmer, Maru's eyes softening just a fraction at the lovely sight.

"You creep! Why the hell do you have cameras in farmer's house?" snarled Haley, watching with rabid fascination and disgust as you moved under the duvet in your sleep.

"Calm down, Haley, it's for the farmer's own good," said simply Maru, smiling to herself. She turned the phone off, hiding it in her pocket. "Or would you rather get caught talking obsessively about farmer?"

At that Haley scoffed but nodded to herself, knowing she couldn't really be seen as abnormal to her dear farmer. No, no she had to be perfect.

"I say we help ourselves to the house," said Emily, her tone upbeat. She walked forth, her hand falling to the doorknob.

"Wait, should we really-?" started Penny, others watching Emily with surprise at her confidence.

"How the hell are you even gonna enter…?" asked Abigail confused, her words trailing off as Emily simply pushed the doors open.

"Farmer doesn't lock doors," chuckled Emily, throwing one last mischievous glance at others before entering the house like she owned it.

"That idiot," sighed Leah, her hand rubbing her temples irritated.

"Hey! Don't just walk in there," yelled Haley, striding after Emily, disappearing in the darkness.

"Right," murmured Maru "I should see that they don't do something bad." with that she walked in too.

Leah and Abigail silently met each other's gaze, their eyes distrusting as they walked in at the same time.

Penny was last to enter, her hands fidgeting nervously against the handle of her basket. She had to protect the farmer, those women were unpredictable and dangerous for that poor soul she loved.

The living room was dark and coated in shadows, timid kitchenette on the side giving the room a homely feel. Penny walked to the kitchen counter with intent, setting the basket on it.

"So, what's your excuse?" asked Emily, her smile knowing as she picked words to anger other bachelorettes.

"Excuse? Farmer asked me themselves to come by and check their TV," Maru noted simply, her form standing anywhere but the television that worked perfectly fine.

"Right, I'm just here to discuss my latest painting with them," shrugged Leah, settling on the couch.

"Uh huh and did you suddenly get inspiration at night?" asked Haley sharply, her eyes narrowed.

"Watch it," grunted Leah, her voice barely there as she bit her words through her teeth.

"Well I wanted to make farmer breakfast," Penny noted absent-mindedly, her deft fingers taking out wrapped sandwiches and ingredients from her basket.

"How cute," chuckled Haley, her head tilted as she observed Penny's actions.

"Thank you!" said Penny softly, her hands never quivering.

"It's 3 a.m., Penny," nodded at the clock Maru, her words more worried than biting.

"I know, I started late today," sighed Penny, unknowingly catching more worried glances.

"…when do you usually start?" asked curiously Emily, her teeth glinting in the night. Her mind not seeing Penny as anything but normal and perfectly sane.

"Twelve in the morning," Penny smiled to herself, her fingers carefully unwrapping each cringing tape around sandwiches.

"Alright then," exhaled Maru, her eyes worried for her friend.

A beet of silence filled the room as they mulled over Penny's words. Abigail walked to the rack holding farmer's armour, her head tilted.

"I just wanted to see them," said simply Abigail, not even trying to hide her need for the farmer's presence.

"Bold, not even hiding it huh?" asked Leah, her fingers itching to wrap around someone's neck. She hungrily envisioned wringing the life out of a beating pulse, her mind barely pacing her down to stay put.

Abigail noted bloodlust in Leah's gaze and wanted to call her out but faltered as footsteps came from the far door. Everyone stiffened, their eyes open wide with either anticipation or fear.

You walked into the living room, opening the bedroom door. Squinting didn't help in understanding why a bunch of your friends stood in your living room.

"Uh…?" you started sleepily before every person in the room interrupted you.

"Farmer!" "Oh no-" "We are here to check on-" "To help-" "I mean- yeah to help with…"

"Your TV," finished their struggling confidently Leah, her hand waving in a vague gesture.

You blinked, taking in panicked and ecstatic expressions. The static in your mind cleared only for a second before you nodded confused but accepting.

Emily basically lunged at you at your agreement, her arms circling your shoulders to pull your half-awake form flush against her. Her fingers palmed your body desperately as she nudged her nose into your hair.

"Oh, thank the Yoba you don't mind!" she giggled, her arms squeezing you tight.

"Don't jump at them like that," scoffed Maru, her ruby eyes dark at seeing Emilg so touchy with you.

"Yeah, you might scare them," noted with a scowl Haley, her tone sharp. "Right, farmer?" she asked you softly, her voice honey-milk for you.

You grumbled something like 'don't mind' and nuzzled against Emily's warm neck. Emily grinned maniacally, her mind noting how lenient you were at night. Penny felt her eyes burn with unscheduled tears, her heart aching to feel you press back into her touch. Haley bristled, her whole form tense with fury. Maru only furrowed her eyebrows, the pinch between them sure to leave the mark after. Leah squeezed the pillow of the couch, her knuckles white as she stared silently. Abigail seethed a tad louder, her arms flexing as she held onto her belt.

"Precious, simply precious," cooed Emily, her gaze barely lifted as she met others' gaze with a smug grin so devious it made Maru's nose scrunch in disgust.

"What the fuck!" snarled Haley, her fists clenched tight as her carefully manicured nails dug into her palms. She stomped to Emily, pulling the farmer out of her hold with a growl. "Stop feeding her delusions!" Haley commanded, her hands squeezing your cheeks between her palms.

You only yawned, nuzzling into Haley's hands, unknowingly putting out her anger immediately. Haley smiled like a madwoman at your eagerness, her stomach somersaulting in need, her lips almost touching yours.

"Hey, no," sighed Maru, pushing Haley's face from yours. The scientist pulled you to her side, her lean arm holding you protectively. "Farmer is clearly tired, stop being creepy."

You settled against Maru with a yawn, your hand palming her hip as you hugged her side. Something garbled and high-pitched escaped Maru, her shoulders tensing. She unconsciously moved her arm lower, almost cupping your stomach.

Abigail scoffed, easily lifting you off Maru's hold. Her arms holding you like a bride, her biceps barely strained.

"Look who is talking," Abigail chastised, her head shaking. You felt yourself slowly fall asleep in her arms, your sleep-addled mind only registering the warmth and safety of her hold. You nuzzled Abigail's neck, holding onto her shoulders, sending shivers down her spine. A happy grin split Abigail's lips, her heart pounding uncontrollably in her ribcage.

Leah felt her body stand up before she could control herself, bitter envy bubbling in her throat. She stepped to Abigail, taking your hand in hers.

"Maru is right," Leah said simply, her eyes narrowed at Abigail. The two stared intently at each other, both itching to snatch you away. Both are awfully similar in their need to protect you from someone as if they weren't two sides of the same coin.

"You both are scaring farmer!" said Haley with disdain, standing by the two tall women, somehow managing to appear more intimidating.

"True, screaming won't make them any calmer," noted Maru, her hands settled on her hips.

"I mean, why can't we just hold them together," shrugged Emily, her finger tracing your jaw.

"That's a terrible idea," murmured both Abigail and Haley at the same time, their heads turning to each other.

"I think they just need to lay down on the couch for a bit," broke the tension Penny, her eyes holding deep worry. She sat down on the couch, patting the space beside her.

Abigail seemed to realise something, walking to Penny, and putting you down on the soft leather. Penny let your head fall to her lap, her fingers carefully carding through your hair. Her touch was careful, short nails barely touching your scalp.

Others seemed to drone on with their argument but Penny's meek personality seemed advantageous in this situation. Her eyes darkened as she watched you sleep without care in the world, her mind flaring with the need to marry you. In time, Penny promised to herself, in time farmer would be hers. She would do it carefully, she would catch the gentle heart of yours with caring words and kind gestures while others would be busy with themselves.

yandere simulator ramble (mostly ab ayano)

see my thing is with yandere sim obviously there are a bunch of problems from alex himself being the developer, the panty shots in the game (because even tho it's used as blackmail with info-chan and sold to those who want it or wtv there could be a way easier way to blackmail the girls for points), the depiction that the bullies are gyaru giving the impression most gyaru's are mean/bullies, the fact that oh everyone is 18 even though they clearly arent?? amongst other things

yet even then there's something still addicting about the game especially with ayano being a yandere, or to consider: someone with obsessive love disorder (the highest 'level' or intensity of this). even then, although obviously everyone in the aishi family just has to be a yandere, it was gonna be obvious that ayano was gonna be one too right?

First Part: Emotions

ryoba fed into the mindset that ayano needed that special someone to be complete so she could finally feel something and she's 'reassuring' ayano that she, ryoba, was the same way when she was younger as well until she found jokichi. ayano, as a child, knew something was wrong with her. there is no doubt that something continues to be wrong with her especially after her own mother teaches her to get rid of blood to use it later to "get rid of future obstacles." Obstacles which refer to the rivals; rivals who are just girls that have a crush on taro (minus muja kina and mida rana because theyre just creeps i fear). even so ryoba's words lingered in ayano's mind. that was ayano's reason to live - something to look for. which btw is kinda fucked up cause she's a child thinking this but also fair anyway,,

Jokichi has attempted to make ayano's life better. he has tried to be a good father; he has tried to be the best that he can be in order to make his daughter feel normal. but with how ayano is - how she is broken from the start - it was impossible. it didn't help that ryoba encouraged the behaviour almost, saying she was exactly the same as ayano AND how she wasn't worried at all. jokichi didn't like that but ayano is nothing but an empty girl. however, what i find interesting is that she felt pity for her father. despite everything she felt pity, and that!! is an emotion!! why i find this interesting is how she can feel something for someone else but not for herself. as a result of her pity, she began to act like other children pretending to be normal and happy for jokichi, despite how she knew that he didnt really believe her happiness himself.

and then!! ayano began to pretend all the time. to stop the bullying, to fit in with everyone because it was simply more convenient even if ayano didn't really care if it happened or not. she had friends (though she didnt care about them) and she had a routine established by pretending all the time. she grew resentful of being 'broken'. as funny as that is because she was supposed to broken, yet, she felt emotions to a mild degree. resentment (some might also say bitterness) is like more complex emotion rather than your typical joy sadness etc but it's still an emotion. and ayano WANTS to feel and have emotions anyway. she craves it, ayano longs to feel, its almost painful itself because she can't experience it to a high degree. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!! as small as it is she's felt emotion: she's felt pity and bitterness and she wants and wants and thats so interesting. what's even more interesting is her length to have emotions. in her lore video, she is seen killing a cat to see if she felt something like guilty or remorse but nothing happened. this is where it (chronologcally) is seen that ayano is willing to do extreme things to see if she could feel something, so it's not a surprise when she's willing to kill her 'rivals' to keep taro.

now ayano is described as someone who has no personality, no hobbies, no true friends, nothing, just an empty husk of a person. however, when she meets taro that changes drastically. she has clearer and obvious emotions; she finally has the feelings she always wanted. although, i believe that she wouldn't react to having feelings the best especially after finding osana talking to taro etc etc. if you lived your entire life having no emotions (not any major or obvious ones anyway) until you find your someone (someone who you've been dreaming of, waiting for, needing) and all the emotions finally comes crashing down all at once,, don't you think you'd be more than a bit overwhelmed? she's been missing out on all the sensations people had since birth. she's always felt incomplete and then all of a sudden she meets taro and it fits like a missing puzzle piece finally being placed down. it was clear that taro made her feel happy, wanting love and all positive emotions. although, now that she has emotions: she's going to have to experience the 'bad' ones too. she'll experience anger, annoyance, fear, anxiety, jealousy, desperation, envy, hatred etc etc.

as soon as she sees osana talk to taro yeah you can tell she feels all the negative emotions all at once. she finally has emotions, she finally can experience what everyone else takes for granted, but osana comes in and threatens her. osana talks to taro, has a crush on him, and that sends a spike of fear and anger through ayano because ayano should not be stripped away of her newly found emotions. she needs the emotions. and as a result she needs taro because he is the one allowing her to feel this way. she's in love with the emotions. it's not love that she has for taro, not really, but she is obsessed. she has the overwhelming obsessive desire to protect and possess taro (which is literally the description of obsessive love disorder). she needs taro like how she needs air now that she's met him.

as i said like 3 paragraphs above she's going to be overwhelmed, like it or not, and whenever people are overwhelmed they tend to take an unnecessarily drastic and extreme path because when you're overwhelmed you aren't in the best mindset. ayano is still a human even if she was "broken" before. she makes mistakes and she's going to be overwhelmed by her emotions for a while especially because she feels like she's is almost dead when she's not near taro. taro is a trigger for her essentially. when he's near, the overwhelming feelings all come back. she felt dead before, now she doesn't and these feelings repeat over and over every time she's away from taro and when she goes near him again.

on another note, although ayano "has" taro currently, (in the sense she knows where he is, he's just in her reach and he's so close to being hers; the only thing stopping that is that he doesn't know completely acknowledges her, AND there are her 'rivals') she still feels broken and incomplete when not near him as mentioned. yet, this incomplete feeling hurts MORE because she knows who her someone is. im going to bring up the fact that ryoba and jokichi went to the states for a 'vacation' (to kill the journalist) without warning. i find it interesting because ayano is most likely to experience negative emotions more intensely than before. taro has brought the emotions to light so i believe she still feels them when she's not near him but it's so mild that it's barely there. despite that, there is no doubt that negative emotions are easier to feel. ayano was shown to be angry that osana has a crush on taro (and she wasn't near taro at the time) after finding out from info chan in the opening cutscene,, in fact she was at home meaning she was not close to taro at all. as i mentioned before though taro is almost like a trigger so its most likely just that. but even then the intensity of negative emotions she could feel may be easier to give into. so.... going with an idea that they are easier to give into, it's easier to feel even when not around taro. i believe the feeling of loneliness is something that is practically overtaking ayano's very mind.

ayano has always been lonely, before she met taro and after. she's been lonely in the sense that she never had been able to connect with her peers on a genuine note. lonely in the sense that jokichi only worried about her wanting her to be normal and ryoba was the opposite, not worrying at all. lonely in the sense she always felt incomplete, lonely cause she knew she wasnt normal, lonely because she needed to be fixed, lonely because nobody other than her mother and all those who suffered from the "aishi conditon" would understand her. and even though those with the "aishi condition" would understand, most have already found their someone (or killed themselves, some have been hypothesized to live even without their special someone, yet, theres no canon proof of that i think) so they werent "broken" anymore. and speaking of the those finding their someone it is highly likely that ryoba devoted more of her time to jokichi than she did to ayano. the reason i believe this is because although ryoba has jokichi, she needs him to love her as well. gonna leave it there because i can make a whole different ramble on that alone but!!! ryoba and jokichi are away in the states currently. so if ayano did feel lonely before, she's going to feel lonely in that empty house. a house too big with your own thoughts, own freedom and doing whatever the hell you want. ryoba actively encouraged ayano to do whatever she needed to do to get rid of the 'obstacles' in her life if she found her special someone. its no surprise with the eliminations you can do one of them is torturing your rivals (or even just mind breaking a random student). (On a side note Japanese houses don't typically have built in basements so ryoba had to literally custom add that)

anyway I bring forth another thing: neglect. however I'm going to go into detail with this with the second part: OLD

Second Part: Obsessive Love Disorder

Obsessive Love Disorder is something that Ayano has. Obsessive Love Disorder as said earlier is a disorder where a person feels obsessive over another person and feels the need to protect them. this isn't really looked at as an 'actual' disorder to psychologist but i couldn't give two bare fucks about that. let's break it down with SOME of the symptoms of OLD:

overwhelming attention to someone

obsessive thoughts

feeling the need to protect the person you're in love with

possessive thoughts and actions

extreme jealousy over interpersonal relationships

low self-esteem

may not take rejection lightly/easily

ignoring personal boundaries

overly controlling

being overwhelmed with emotions about a person that is disrupts your daily function

threatening the other if they leave

monitoring the others actions

blurring or crossing boundaries

anxiety

inability to tolerate time away

most if not all of these things can be easily associated to ayano's behavior. ayano stalks taro, occasionally fantasizes that he kidnaps her, dislikes all the girls who try and talk to taro, wants him all to herself, feels dead when he's not near, follows him home so she can spend more time 'protecting' him, cannot see a life without him (evidenced by 'snap' ending as when she kills him, she kills herself not long after), her first interaction with him shows her finally feeling emotions and as i said she's going to feel overwhelmed with them, anger and anxiety that a 'rival' may be able to take taro away from her, based on ryoba where she tortured jokichi i doubt that ayano would take lightly is taro tried to leave her, finally rejection results in quite literally being heartbroken AND snap so it's obviously not taken easily nor lightly etc etc

anyway!! those are some examples that relate to the symptoms now here are two of the many causes.

some of y'all (if anyone reads this actually but the group council in my head will suffice) may not like this one but number 1 is neglect.

neglect is one of those things that can be in several forms. the more common forms would be emotional neglect (AND!! physical neglect), e.g. not telling your child you're leaving to go away to take care of some 'business' until you're already gone. (even worse when the business is to kill a man but yk). with this neglect you're emotionally unavailable (and in this case also physically). to understand better emotional neglect it is when a child does not receive the stimulation and nurturing they need. ayano has not received stimulation or the necessary nurturing from ryoba because ryoba fully heartedly believes that all ayano needs is that special someone. in a sense, she is right but she was actively neglecting ayano by not helping her instead just repeating that someone will come to complete and fix her. (it must be remembered that not all neglect is intentional, but it happens anyway) as said in the example it can also be physical neglect as ryoba left a teen all by herself in a house whilst indirectly promoting the use of the basement through vague post cards and childhood lessons.

(And yes! Encouraging negative behavior is neglect because you do not care what happens to those around you!)

another form of neglect that ayano experienced was medical neglect. this form of neglect isn't as obvious but can be picked up in ayano's lore video. at the very beginning, it is stated that her first memories are that of hospitals, doctors and everything medical wise. this was most definitely jokichi's work as the best ryoba has stated on the matter was how they were similar and how ayano will find her someone to complete her. now later (but before ayano pretends) the hospital etc weren't mentioned again. it can be thought and implied that ryoba decided it was a waste to focus medically on ayano because she'll simply find her someone to cure her later. this can be thought out to be medical neglect because there could've been a small chance if ayano kept doing, if she visited more happy places there's a possibility something could've changed. even then this neglect isn't so obvious so it's easy to ignore. to add on though teaching your child how to clean up blood for not so good reasons is encouraging negative behavior and could be a contribution to her messed up mindset.

another reason would be delusional jealousy. this is inhibited by an instance or things that are false. this delusional jealousy can also make one believe someone is in love with them even if there are obvious signs that is not the case.

okay for this reason I believe the delusion itself is fostered by the fact that ayano needs taro so she believes he must need her. it's a common mindset even without OLD that if someone needs something, others must need it too making possessiveness and jealousy to form. because the game isn't complete and is likely not going to be complete in the next decade, it's hard to tell if taro would actually like ayano as a genuine person. (and I would say that it's kind of obvious that he doesn't but in game taro is a pussy? if you even stand near him for more than 5 seconds he's like "oh she's strange" "stay back get away from me!!" even when ayano isn't doing anything?? like in game I wouldn't be close enough where the pink love thing pops up and taro would still be like "get away from me!!!") but if ayano hypothetically talked to him like all of her rivals, then taro would maybe like her.

once again these two are not the only ones that can be associated with ayano but these are the only ones I wanted to discuss.

anyway ending this section to go to the next important one!! drumroll... Pacifist vs Murderer

Third Part: The Endings

this is the third part of my rant that consists of pacifist ayano vs murderer ayano which could be "Good Ending" Ayano and "Bad Ending" Ayano.

starting off with something a good bunch of yan sim fans don't actually agree on is that pacifist ayano is a completely different person than murderer ayano.

and you might be thinking "wrap it up luca,, pacifist is different than a murderer no shit"

but really it's more than that. pacifist ayano is different because she actually truly expresses her emotions when she's a pacifist. even if you gossip about the rivals or expell them where they don't show up to school anymore, ayano can be seen as a person who expresses her emotions because she's so much more than a murderer. this is even more vividly seen if you befriend the rivals. once again this is based off the two rivals that are out, osana and amai. if you decide to befriend osana and she comes to your house in the morning, there is the infamous talk where osana talks about her stalker and how she can't believe that someone could fall in love without knowing them. this, to ayano and the player itself, can be associated with ayano herself especially considering how she 'loves' taro without knowing him and has stalked him. now when ayano decides not to betray osana, giving her normal tea, it can be seen how desperate ayano is to keep taro without actually harming osana. osana may like taro, but ayano needs him. the desperation expressed through the befriend route shows the most human ayano ever. this desperation and longing for taro is carried through the same befriending route with amai (although her conversation involves jabs at having a "rival" and "eliminating" them).

the most human and realest part of ayano is when she befriends the rivals and begs them not to confess to taro. (if it isn't obvious I love the pacifist ending because I like the raw desperation and human form of ayano compared to the murderer route)

in contrast to pacifist ayano, when ayano murders the rivals, her sanity obviously decreases. unlike in game where you can giggle or go near taro to increase your sanity, it's not that easy irl.

keep in mind if ayano doesn't increase her sanity and it goes below 20% then ayano starts hallucinating and murdering those around her. even if ayano could realistically easily increase her sanity after killing a rival that is to show that ayano will only be a murderer (something the headmaster and megami saikou thinks her to be). if ayano were kill and regain her sanity quickly she is as broken as people think her to be. she is truly nothing but an empty husk who follows her mother. she may have emotions but she isn't someone you can love. she isn't someone who can be seen as a human. like ryoba, ayano would most likely follow the path that ryoba led where ayano simply kidnaps taro at the end torturing him and making him her husband. as said earlier, negative emotions are easier to form so it would be easy to give in to the pestering intrusive thoughts to kill her rivals. it's the quickest way out and it's the true emotionless thing most want her to be. being violent seems to be the easiest way out and most often people take that route, however, in the very end ayano simply follows her mother's path of decay and destruction. murderer ayano is easier to conform, though, is that the real ayano? is she someone who can't be proven not to be broken? another thing is that if ayano does go this route and she doesn't get caught, all she ends up doing is create a cycle. she continues down the path that ryoba had laid out for her since the beginning. (which honestly is the lousiest route and ending to take because people just loveee the trope of repeating the cycle)

personally I don't care much for the murderer ending but I will admit it is interesting to see how ayano spirals and ultimately decides to kill off every single one of her rivals.

the next two endings are going to be briefly the genocide ending and "snap" ending.

genocide ending is simply the ending where ayano is a murderer but instead of just applying that to just her rivals she does it to the entire school minus taro. it's the 'darkest' ending depending on how you look at it because it proves that ayano couldn't stand anyone else coming between her and taro. she needed taro all to herself and she did just that by killing every single person in the school all in the first day of the week (minus the headmaster, taro, infochan and the guidance counsellor). in this ending you can tell that ayano's sanity is completely gone by the way she says "so..i killed them all" in the cutscene that plays. ayano says it in such a manic and inhuman way its obvious that she doesn't regret it now that she can have taro all for herself. at the very end of the cutscene it pans to taro being in the basement tied up. this is where its clear that ayano follows ryoba completely (if not surpassing her in terms of violent nature and sense due to how she killed every one instead of just her rivals) to keep taro as her senpai.

and finally, snap ending. Snap ending is by far the most interesting one in terms of endings. Before ayano kills taro with the knife, when she walks to every student she kills them with her bare hands. in this ending I believe that she's more "broken" than her other endings. she's given up on this world and she's willing to take out others who get in her way (literally). the others are so terrified to the point where they can't even move, they just watch until it's their turn. ayano feels nothing but heartbreak and there's no other option but to kill taro then herself. even before she kills herself with the same knife she used to stab him, the insistence of voices saying "do it" continue to loop giving her no other option but to join taro. this ending is so interesting because it shows how ayano physically cannot live without taro and how she's willing to make sure that nobody else has him. another thing interesting about it is the trope of "if you die, I die". this trope is placed into things like Romeo and Juliet where Juliet pretends to die and Romeo kills himself to "join" her. when Juliet wakes up and finds Romeo dead she soon follows killing herself actually to join him.

YANDERE TSUYU HEADCANONS

Unlike the other yanderes, Tsuyu will first try to know you better and find out all your interests and hobbies and all that, like a normal person

She actually seems pretty chill and laid back when you talk to other people. However when people hit on you or try flirting with you, she will NOT hesitate to regret it

She will NOT invade your personal space and privacy and she is like, one of the MOST respectful yanderes out there

She won't go around stalking you everywhere you go. She knows you are independent and strong and thats what drew her towards you. But, occasionally she WILL randomly 'pop' up at places asking you whether you want to check out that new cafe that opened a block away or have a sleepover at her house or something of that sort

She will NOT sneak into your room and watch you sleep at night, EVER. She knows and respects your boundaries

The MOST harmless of yanderes

She won't kidnap you just for some dumb reason like talking to someone else or she thinking that you're not safe in this world. If she DOES kidnap you, she'll do it because you would have probably injured yourself drastically and she's just WORRIED about you. Show her some love and affection okay?

She will put up and oscar award theatrical drama award performance as to why she kidnapped you saying that she loves you and she just wants to keep you safe. No matter how many profanities and curse words you yell at her and no matter how many times you have a fit, she will just stay calm and agree that you have a good reason do whatever you're doing, but will leave with an unhappy and bummed face

Honestly, living with Tsuyu won't be so bad. She will NEVER punish you, EVER. She won't even try to emotionally manipulate you. She'll just give your own free personal space

Tsuyu can't bring herself to use dire and drastic ways of making you behave like starving you and leaving you in isolation like most yanderes do. She'll just take away some of your favorite stuff till you're calmed down and after that, she'll make you your favorite food

If you long to go outside, she will gladly accept and take you, on ONE condition. You have to stick by her side and NEVER leave her. NO talking to anyone else

Tsuyu can get jealous rather easily and if she's dealing with a rival, she won't kill them. She'll just threaten and blackmail them to an extent that they'll be frightened and scared to say anything against her for the fear of their sanity

Will never treat you like a prisoner. She might place a quirk cancelling cuff around your ankle, which is really fluffy btw, she might remove it after a month of your stay with her

Won't force herself onto you. She respects your decisions. If you're not in a mood for cuddling with her, it's fine. She will be a bit sad but she won't cling on to you 24/7 out of 365 days like some OTHER yanderes I know (I'm looking at YOU, DEKU!!!)

She is a precious frog bby, mark my words darling, you YOURSELF WILL CERTAINLY fall for her within a month or so

My Live Reactions to Reading Through My 2015 Novel

Open into a little flashback to the club that Penny mentioned in her journal entry. She's overwhelmed

Okay, tbf, Penny, you're the one who, unprompted, gave Chrys the name and address of this place.

But also, Chrys is an adult who should know better than to bring her friend who's still very much in early recovery to a CLUB

At least she figured it out eventually. Yk, in the club. Well past Penny's curfew. Probably having had too much to drink to drive them home.

I understand wanting to find a bathroom to clean yourselves up, but why can't you use the one in the club? Why are you wandering the streets looking for a convenience store??

How long was my memory going to be an issue?' probably longer than 3 weeks, hun

"Hey, Penny?" Chrys asked. She held clothes to change into, and was ready to go into the bathroom and wash her face, before we would switch off. I looked up. "Yeah?" "I know we're going to get into a lot of trouble tomorrow when your mom wakes up," Chrys admitted. "But today was cool, man." I didn't exactly agree with her, but I nodded.' (Poor Penny. She's only 21, she should've been at the club! Wait...)

'I slammed the door of the Honda shut. Clouds overhead blocked the blinding sun's rays. It seemed appropriate that the only two overcast days in the past month were on the day Chrys arrived and the day she left.' awww Gertrude kicked her out, didn't she?

I glanced back at her, but she was watching me, not looking at the boy. "Penny," she began. "There's no one looking at that sign." I turned back to make sure he was still there. "Sure he is! He's across the station, over by the Greyhound." This time, Chrys didn't bother looking over. "Penny, there's nobody over there. Are you feeling okay?" (siri, play the Twilight Zone theme music)

Okay, seriously, why is Gertrude treating her daughter like she's 17??? She's a college junior, she's 21, she's an adult, you can't just GROUND her

(At the time of writing this, however, I was 17, so fair enough)

I know the messaging I was going for in trying to write Penny's body dysmorphia. Try to emphasize that being thin does not equate health. That it doesn't magically solve confidence issues. Etc.

But omfg it's painfully out of touch

Kinda funny that I called out the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch as a 'jackass' though

Also!!!! First time usage of a 'swear word'!!! Pretty sure this is the only curse my parents would let slide when I was growing up, so I felt a little more comfortable putting it in writing

'April 23, 2009 We dropped Chrys off at the bus station today. She's going to be heading back to her parents. Poor girl. Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich are the kind of people that help me see why the French revolution happened. Not that I'd wish they'd go to the guillotine or anything, but if they'd lived back then, that's where they'd have gone.' (She really said 'eat the rich' lmao)

Ending Thoughts:

I totally forgot about the 'wind up at a club, get lost in the middle of the city' part of this story lol Seriously, most of what I was reflecting on while reading back through this is the insane kind of control that Gertrude keeps trying to enact over her daughter, and the really rough attempts to pass along a message about body positivity. I think at this point, I was a bit more aware of my writing and what messaging could come across to readers. In 2011, I didn't give a rat's ass about discussing real-world problems, but they crept in anyways: oppression, treatment of prisoners, power struggles. In 2013, I was a little more aware but struggled to find the fine line between my character's perspective vs. my own. In 2015, I'm much more intentionally writing in my own thoughts, but with very little grace. Just a lot of hammering, and in loud, abrasive, insensitive words.

+ I mean… we all know Mello joined Rod’s gang by bringing him the head of a rival boss. But I’m pretty sure he did it… literally. How else would a gang full of 6′4″ dudes with Uzis ever take him seriously?? I love imagining him arranging an ingenious meeting with Rod one day, like, Mello somehow tricking him into talking with him, and telling him like… “so I heard you were trying to take this dude out, I can do it for you, ya know. lmao not bragging.” and Rod takes one look at him and just starts laughing his ass off. “Kid (which is what he calls Mello, btw)… I’ve lost six men to trying already, and their balls had already dropped.” Then Jose throws his ass into the street. A week later, Mello shows up at the front door of their HQ (how did he find us??? Kal gasps audibly, knowing Rod is going to kick his ass for this because everything is Kal’s fault) with a bloody pillowcase (because gift wrapping is NOT appreciated by any of those no-taste mafiosos…) and says “happy birthday, I work for you now. You’re welcome.”

+So you know that panel where Mello is sitting on the couch back perched behind Rod’s shoulder? Not a headcanon, just wanted you to think about it. :’) Here's another one btw:

+Their relationship actually has a somewhat solid basis of trust and respect. Even though Rod is an absolute maniac sometimes and would gouge your eyes out without a second thought, he’s incredibly intelligent--

Both of them are secretly a little terrified of anybody finding out that they fuck around once and a while. But that's part of the thrill yk? Whenever anybody’s around, Rod always has a hooker on his leg and tries not to pay Mello any mind. But once they’re alone, Mello thinks it’s funny to bring it up.

+Speaking of letting it go too far, Rod allows any amount of verbal abuse, but has broken up more than a couple fistfights Mello’s gotten himself into with other members of the gang by “running that goddamn big mouth of his all the fuckin’ time.”

+While Rod normally backs Mello 110%, as his infallible plans have done nothing but provide a multitude of viable cash flows and absolute territorial dominance, when they have their disagreements (which get.. heated, to say the least), Mello will totally get physical. Rod finds this hilarious, considering he could literally break his neck with one hand. Anyway Rod only fought back once, when he was in a particularly bad mood, and Mello had to show up the next day skulking around with a black eye and fat lip, his lisp way worse than usual. It was the only time after Mello showed up until the day of his death that Kal actually experienced any degree of human happiness. Btw poor Kal. Read the dude's profile in HTR13 if you want a laugh. #AnneofGreenGables

+Mello was actually really surprised by how soft Rod’s scalp is. He totally oils it and his head always smells like aftershave and stale cigar smoke.

+In fact, in addition to both being super scary, they’re both super vain LOL I bet they both get their backs waxed after a long day clothes-shopping… and they both spend forever putting lotion on after their three-hour bubble baths… they spend all morning in front of the mirror while Rod shaves that WHACK design onto his face and Mello does his makeup… neither of them even looks at the other when they’re having sex because they’re too busy American Psycho-ing themselves in the mirrors they have surrounding their bed.

Hi????? Oh my god, I had to stop and check that this wasn't one of my other blogs getting this ask. Thank you so much, I really appreciate the compliment!!

As for my headcanons/theories... most of them are generally character-based, but i have a few I'd be happy to share! (readmore because this gets long ^^")

General headcanons:

All of the Pokémon Leagues in the world vary on strength and community investment. Near the bottom are leagues like Alola's (brand new, little support), Paldea's (made for multiple Champions, one of their leaders double-dips as Elite 4), Kanto's (prolonged, unresolved absence of one Gym Leader, lack of a Champion until your rival), and Unova's (consistent turnover in leaders, champions, and gym locations; only league to canonically be defeated by a Team). From there, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Kalos are all relatively similar in "solid league" territory, with Galar's being the most heavily invested-in and supported league in the series.

Humans with psychic powers, medium abilities, special type affinities (think Iris's "understanding the hearts of Dragons", rather than typical gym leaders), or otherwise inexplicable abilities (whatever the Shadow Triad is doing?) tend to have slightly Pokémon-influenced genetics, as ties back to the infamous Japanese Canalave City library entry. This tends to go many generations back, rather than direct. (No, N is not a Zoroark. Could he be distantly related to one? Maybe.)

The average age for gym challenges varies by region. (Our protags do not necessarily hit that average.) Kanto through Sinnoh skew younger, from 10-12 (since they're all geographically in similar areas). Alola is solidly at 11. Unova and Kalos tend to be somewhere from 13-15. Paldea is literally any age, hence the adults in uniforms. Galar trends older, more towards an average of 16. Yes, this makes Leon's refusal to involve you in any situation ever look sillier. (Leon is considered exceptionally young for the challenge at 10, and all of your potential challengers in the Champion Cup look generally in their older teens. Also, I refuse to believe Marnie's wearing a crop top for her League uniform before she's 16.)

"Official" starter Pokémon are endangered species. Professors generally hope that by giving them to young trainers, they'll encourage species awareness and growth.

Battles follow anime rules more than game rules. Terrain advantages, move combinations to create effects, etc. are all a part of battles. The only exception, for the sake of my sanity when creating content, is that fish Pokémon float. And even I'm aware that's not realistic, even if it's funny.

Character headcanons:

The "main" protags in my mind are Red, Ethan, May, Lucas, Hilda, Rosa, Calem, Selene, Gloria, "Akari", and Florian.

In order of public perception from "weird kid" to "popular kid" for protags: Red, Gloria, Lucas, Selene, May, Hilda, Ethan, "Akari", Calem, Rosa, Florian.

None of the members of either the Galar Gang or the Paldea Gang are normal.

Hop is trans. While his being trans is in no way related to Leon, his attempts at proving himself and trying to live up to his brother's example of masculinity are at least a little related.

Bede's time in the orphanage is a result of parental neglect rather than money or being orphaned by definition.

Nemona is not a stalker, JFC. She's just excited to have a friend equally interested in battling as her for once in her goddamn life. She is very touchy, huggy, clingy without realizing it, though.

Penny is very heavily involved in whatever the Pokémon equivalent of Tumblr and AO3 are. She convinces Arven, Nemona, and Florian to watch anime with her on the regular.

naib is actually very against irene liking norton since it conflicts what her father wants for her (irene shouldn't be liking commoners) and this is partially him being protective of her (but masks it off as "just being your bodyguard") but time goes by and he really notices just how much irene wanted to be with norton and only him, so there'd be one day where he'd confront norton like; "campbell. you are not going to break lady irene's heart or i will GET YOU. give her a chance." (at the time, norton is very closed off with his feelings for her. its typical of him) and when they do get together ... they're like silly close rivals. butts heads often but they're pretty cool 👍👍👍

right now i have the build a bear plushie so as long as i have that i feel like i'm with him

i heard people talking about the last wish like a month after release and i thought "hm maybe i should check this out" and it was downhill from there. BEAUTIFUL movie btw top tier cinema puss in boots 1 was not as good unfortunately 💔 still more puss content i can't be mad. i liked him in the shrek movies too but he has less screentime

ok firstly the accent i CANT get over it its so sdsfksdfklkjkjfdsg................second probably his face. his stupid little cute face i want to look at all day

puss cannot get over how lovey dovey i am with him and he tries to hide it but i know the truth. he's not even good at hiding it i see you covering your face with your hat everyone knows

1. i love him so much i just squeeze the life out of him every time i see him. bear hug him forever and ever. puss on the other hand much more acts of service and he'll give me a lil peck on the cheek or the forehead sometimes

2. i'd LOVE to give him just like a tiny good luck charm he can put on his belt so he has something to remember me by if he's ever out without me. puss would give me a souvenir every time i couldn't come with on an adventure

3. we celebrate all the major holidays and just have fun hanging out with each other. we always have matching halloween costumes and on christmas puss likes doing the thing with mistletoe where he holds it above us if we're close and is like "we're under the mistletoe you know what that means" and honestly? not complaining. if anything please continue

4. he's a cat!! he purrs whenever he's asleep and it gets me to bed so quickly... and then he always waits for me to wake up after him in the morning (i am not a morning person. he is and he has to wait like a couple hours cus he doesn't wanna wake me up early 😭😭)

5. i am a math wiz, puss doesn't know what 2+2 is. unfortunately to make up for this i have like no adventuring experience and i wanna go with him so bad :( but puss tries his best to train me so that one day we can conquer the world together!

6. we're basically opposites in fashion taste, puss loves his hat and boots and not saying i don't love it too but i don't like the concept of me wearing it 😅the one thing we agree on is that capes (cloaks in my case) look sick as hell. food wise puss will eat anything i am extremely picky and anytime i don't like a food he will go all "what how could you not like [food]?!??!" every time without fail

7. puss has always been the more talkative one and it shows. whenever puss is feeling down i just let him talk at me and if i'm ever feeling down he asks me so many questions about what happened it's almost overwhelming. what we share in common is that we both LOVE hugs and will just hug it out all the time

8. i don't really have a rival f/o... i guess maybe death? but puss kinda made up with him already and it's not like death is going to be here any time soon

9. i actually really like how he is in canon 😭 i love him the way he is i wouldn't change a thing about him (well excluding one headcanon which is...)

11. it's amazing but i might be biased since puss is here... puss usually does all the cooking because i'm so picky i just don't know food. i do most of the cleaning cus he does so much for me and i'll try to stop him from helping me if he ever offers cus i don't want him doing even more... in the downtime between us doing anything we'll usually just sit down and cuddle with each other ❤️fortunately he doesn't have a "job" to go to, since he's a hero the city lets him live here for basically free. puss gets enough money from just appearing in public to afford everything we need for months. though he will go on the occasional adventure every couple weeks

12. dirt. its literally just dirt and nothing else. he keeps going on adventures and getting dirty and he'll come home just covered in dirt. but if there's ever an important occasion he has a cologne he picked out with me that smells like cinnamon

13. he hasn't actually changed much since the events of the last wish! still does all the good ol showoffy stuff whenever he's in public, you really can only tell he changed whenever it gets real dangerous.

14. puss is extremely extroverted and outgoing and i am very much not. he keeps trying to take me on outings and tries to get me to be a little more vocal and it's kinda working!! baby steps! but something we both have in common is that we're both unorganized (though him more than me)... we always try to sort everything out at the house but neither of us can bother 😭 we're used to it though so it's a non-issue

15. puss gets really heated but can usually calm himself, i am not good with conflict at ALL but puss tries to help me calm down too. it works, i mean how can i be mad with this lovely cat in front of me?? though on the rare occasion i'm really passionate about something i will not back down and puss eventually either gives in or tries the cute eyes thing... it usually works...... i mean, how am i supposed to resist that????

16. puss introduced me to imelda (his caretaker at the orphanage he grew up) and she was lovely! she even showed me cute pictures of puss back when he was a baby 🤭 aside from that i've met team friendship too! perrito was nice and kitty joked around with puss about us a lot

17. ok lore speedrun i only knew puss through folktales/legends etc. and i heard about a party he was supposed to be throwing nearby that was really soon. i decided to go and i was OBSESSED. i knew he was cool, but somehow he managed to be even cooler than i thought. this is probably where the crush started but i didn't recognize it at the time. i would've gone to every party he threw in the country but i knew he came to this town pretty often, so i just went to the ones here. after a while i managed to get close to him and ask him if i might be able to go on an adventure with him. it was all i wanted at the time, even if it was a mini adventure or something. at first he said he couldn't or his schedule was full or whatever, but i was so desperate i kept asking and asking... and somehow it worked. he told me maybe, but he'd need more time to figure something out. a couple days later i got a letter saying that he decided i could go with him on one small thing he had planned that wouldn't take too much time, and i was ecstatic to say the least. however it mentioned i would need some training first and gave me a spot to meet up. i got a whole get up and a weapon so i would be prepared for the training and after we stopped, puss said it would be easier if i stayed in town for a while so we could get training earlier. a couple days of training later i finally confessed, and after the mini adventure i was supposed to leave but he caught feelings too... we've been dating ever since :)

18. my favorite will always be the shrek canon/last wish canon timeline but i still love taopib puss. f/o wise i treat them differently but comfort character wise it's still puss and he's still silly ❤️ i also really like puss dos from taopib. not in a f/o way but he's so autism you can't hate him (ignore that puss dos isn't actually puss he's a genetic clone technically but IT STILL COUNTS!!!)

19. coolness factor alone the blind king (taopib spoilers if it matters) takes the cake. the blindfold is just mwah chefs kiss but i think i just really like blindfolds for some reason. original puss is still the best one though i wouldn't want a blindfold covering those glittering green eyes of his

20. i confessed first but only because i thought he did 😭 he was being playful flirty like when you don't really mean it but i didn't pick up on that and it just came pouring out... nothing really happened for a little while until one day we made eye contact and went silent. i think he got feelings for me, or he realized the feelings he already had, or something, but i could tell something changed. we just... kissed. it wasn't a lot, just for a second, but... it felt like the world had stopped. nothing mattered except the two of us right there, right then. and it felt perfect.

A/n helloo it's been a while since i post, I've been busy with my Wattpad account. Btw this is a zsakuva character they're not mine credit to zsakuva

Andrew

- when he sees you with an another professor who's also the same age or a little older than you makes his blood boil in anger

- he doesn't really get jealous often but when he sees other people men or woman flirting to you makes him see red for goodness sake

- his kisses will definitely more rougher than normal and he would leave some hickey that is visible enough for the so called rival sees it.

- since they already know your relationsh with him he expected that his rival also know that your his

- he would definitely kiss you behind the neck and purposely showing dominance by giving you his coat despite the fact that you are already burning because of how hot the weather is.

- your just so fucking confused because how weird Andrew is ever since you take his rival's class for additional academic :< you just want to learn

- at the end of the day it's just all side eyes and you suffering because wtf is happening

Xanthus

- ohh boy

- Guess who would die, that's right the poor man who flirted with you

- Xanthus has treated you into a shopping spree because he likes to spend his money on you not like he doesn't have a lot (mmmhh do i smell a sugar daddy fanfic)

- then while Xanthus is looking for the perfect jewelry for you (because everything shall be perfect for my love - Xanthus) a rich amn asked you on a date

- he would of course push you on his side and RESPECTFULLY asked the man to fuck off, then he would realize that this man is also a fucking vampire not the one he knew but some old basted definitely not a young one

- “oh I'm his boyfriend, I'm sorry they need to declined your offer” (translation) “im his boyfriend so fuck off”

- “oh really, i would really like to have her for a dinner” (translation) “just boyfriend not a fucking husband so you fuck off”

- and they both just have this RESPECTFUL conversation until you just pick a random jewelry so you can just go into an another store and leave this man alone

- Xanthus pay for the jewelry with a smile and satisfaction, would praise you that he's you would look beautiful in the jewelry yada yada and more

- never bring up the man i there you, he would have this black clouds after you do and a scent of murder everywhere

- so yes there are only to ways this can end a brutal murder or just a cozy night with him or both (definitely both)

Ceyvk

- lol, he would definitely punish you and the one who flirted with you

- definitely would trade/kill the man or demon who flirted with you

- you would wake up and you cannot feel your legs anymore (RIP we would miss you)

- and definitely would keep you in his side all the time

- you and ceyvk relationship is quite a weird one as always like, he always want you ok a side a like a butler or a hand maid

- so take that and × 2

- lesson learned don't look at anyone other him or else.....

Under normal circumstances, it was impossible to hear a slip of paper drop onto the floor. But in a lecture hall with more than 100 people writing an exam in absolute silence, every breather, motion and slightest gust of wind drew attention to where the sound radiated from.

This time, all eyes were on you and the slip that had gotten loose from your staple of papers. A tiny, but very informative slip on which all relevant formulas for today’s exam were written down so that there was barely no white space left. A piece of paper that you usually wouldn’t need as you were on top of your class, but your life circumstances had forced you to scribble in the smallest handwriting.

The echoing footsteps of your professor walking up the aisle to your desk made your heart race, and you broke out in cold sweat. You had your look fixated on the exam sheet in front of you, feigning ignorance. But it was hard to pretend not to be involved when you were at the scene of crime as the only one not paying attention to it.

“Miss, did this just fall from your desk?” The professor had the slip in his hand, glaring at you through his glasses that sat halfway on the bridge of his nose, his white hair and droopy eyes giving Einstein vibes.

How were you supposed to explain to him that only a few days ago, you had found out that you weren’t your parents’ biological child, and thus weren’t even capable of eating let alone studying anymore? That, all throughout your childhood and adulthood, even when they had deemed you mature and logical enough to study something as complex as mathematics, your parents had never considered breaking down the truth to you? And then, when you had found out yourself, your entire world just crashed.

“N… no.”

When you looked up to him, you tried to sound strong and confident, but it was hard to do all that when you were actually guilty and fragile of even understanding your own feelings.

“Miss, this was lying close to your desk. I saw it fall on the floor.”

“I- it…” You gulped, your fingers enclosing so hard around your pen that your knuckles turned white and your forehead sweaty. “N-... no…” But you weren’t even sure whether you brought these words out.

“Please pick up your exam papers, Miss, and follow me.”

That was it. Your life ended here and now again. With this important exam getting flunked and you getting caught cheating, you probably would get suspended from the institution, temporarily or permanently. In the span of a few days only, your entire world ended here and now.

“It’s not hers.” The sound of a chair getting pushed back suddenly broke through the silence as you were about to make a move to stand up. “It’s mine.”

When you shifted your head aside, you saw that Jeong Jaehyun had stood up, his exam papers already collected in his palms, his gaze that he directed at the professor determined and confident - all that you couldn’t feign. You just didn’t understand what he was doing.

Jeong Jaehyun usually didn’t save your ass. Jeong Jaehyun was the type of guy who stole the last free seat in the library right from under your eyes so that you had to sit on another floor that didn’t have the right books. Jeong Jaehyun was the type of guy who didn’t want to partner up with you in a group project, because he thought he was so much more successful without you. Jeong Jaehyun was the type of guy to screw you over, to butt heads with you and to trick you whenever possible just because he thought you weren’t worthy of being so smart and capable in this major as him.

If anything, this was a moment which he should celebrate, the moment he would finally get rid of you, possibly forever. But he was saving you as he silently followed the professor and got sent out of the lecture hall.

Long after the exam was over, you waited in front of the headmaster’s office, nervously biting your nails. You had tried to finish the exam as best as you could, but you couldn’t stop thinking about Jeong Jaehyun and what awaited him behind this door.

As it slowly opened, after what felt like an eternity, and Jaehyun stepped out, you rose from your seat and stood in front of him. His expression gave away that he hadn’t expected you here, and it was probably the first time that you saw his usual cocky self being so irritated.

“Jeong.” You swallowed, hard. “What did you do?” you wanted to know, upset. “You knew I was guilty.”

He buried his hands in the pockets of his pants, letting out a long sigh. Breaking your eye contact, he looked aside and pressed through gritted teeth, “If you get kicked out of the institution, it won’t be as fun anymore.”

Now, you were the one being irritated. “Jeong, you just got suspended and that’s all you can think about? Mocking me? Making fun of me again? Is this the thing your entire life revolves around?”

“Can’t you see?!” he suddenly blurted, spinning around simultaneously so that you stumbled backwards and hit the wall with your back, Jaehyun blocking your way with his arms propped to your right and left. “Yes, my entire life revolves around you, but you never seem to be able to look past our rivalry.”

He had taken you totally by surprise, why else would your heart beat so fast right now? For sure, it was not because he stood so close to you. And because, after all, he was exceptionally handsome. “I don’t understand.”

“I can’t get your attention, because you don’t pay attention to anything else except studying. Always, I have to work my ass off so that you notice my existence. Always, you only want to fight me, beat me. But that’s the only rare moments in which you will look at me, speak to me. So tell me, how are we supposed to keep this up when you’re gone?”

You sucked in a rush of air, your gaze wandering from his eyes to his lips that were threateningly close, then back to his eyes, and they mirrored such a loft look at that moment, you weren’t even sure whether this was the Jaehyun you knew anymore. Perhaps, you had never truly known him as you had never really been interested in the people here. Then, you thought about not seeing Jaehyun ever again. And despite him always being a pain in your ass, you realized that you, too, would be missing something with him gone.

“Will you be gone for long?” you asked quietly, suddenly very scared for him.

“Only for a month, because my parents donated to this university.”

“Okay.” A month didn’t seem to be so long. Perhaps, by then, you would have your life back on track and your mind free to get to know the real Jeong Jaehyun. “I’ll wait.”

“When I’ll be back, will you tell me why you did that?” he asked. “You’re independent, intelligent and a fighter. Normally, you wouldn’t do that, I know.”

Perhaps, Jaehyun knew you better than you knew him.

“If I’m ready by then, I will.”

He smiled genuinely, and it made you smile too.

A tiny part of you, the one being able to read the atmosphere and discover the faint hint of true longing behind his eyes, wished that he’d kiss you at that moment. But as his back relaxed and his arms dropped to his sides, you, along with him, realized that perhaps, it was not the right time yet.

“I’ll wait,” you repeated.

“Okay,” Jaehyun said, the both of you knowing too well what to wait for this time.
