This is my friend’s poll and in order to get more people to vote I am assigning each flavor to a South Park Character.

Apple- Kyle, in honor of the episode HUMANCENTiPAD (S15 E1) and also because he would enjoy the classic apple cider flavor

Caramel- Butters, but he loves this one because it can be a candy, drizzle or a drink flavor. And it’s a little bit devicive (car-mal vs. care-uh-mel). It’s also pretty sweet, and he would probably have a sweet tooth just like Cartman.

Maple- Cartman, because this flavor is so sweet and he would absolutely pick the sweetest thing on the menu because he has such a sweet tooth. He is not sweet though. Also nobody else really likes how sweet it is so he doesn’t need to share. Butters doesn’t ask to share anymore.

Chai- Wendy, very sweet, but with a little cinnamon in there to shake things up. She enjoys this because it comes the same every time, chai is a very consistent flavor.

Pear- Clyde, because it doesn’t really taste like anything, and I think he would enjoy that. It’s something he ordered once and didn’t hate enough to not order next time, so now he just gets it every time. Also he likes that nobody asks for a sip of it because it’s so boring. But it seems different, Y’know?

Ginger- Stan, sort of because it’s different and sort of because it’s spicy. It also smells really good apparently, and I think Stan enjoys candles so that his room doesn’t smell like weed.

Cranberry- Kenny, he’s just drawn to this one for some reason, it’s a little tangy and a little sweet and leaves a weird taste in your mouth but he enjoys still.

Pumpkin- Bebe, Absolutely a pumpkin spice girlie. She takes pictures of her pumpkin spice latte in a pumpkin patch while wearing a red sweater and beige scarf.

Butter- Tweek, because his taste buds are absolutely fried and he has the strangest taste out of anyone. This isn’t a bad thing, but most people would not reach for this on instinct. He did because it interested him, and he absolutely loved it.

Pistachio- Pip, because he has weird taste that isn’t always awful but is definitely not anyone else’s first choice. This is also in honor of the Pip fandom, because you picked the weirdest one.

i am here cause im too old and too employed to write a thesis paper on "Zack Snyder's Superman" so my mutuals have to suffer.

henry cavill was by far the most perfect, most accurate and the most beautiful casting for superman there has ever been. it was like jackman's wolverine, rdj's ironman, reynold's deadpool or sir ian mckellen's magneto—it was preordained.

... however, he was not a good superman.

now before anyone get's up to light my ass on fire, hear me out.

cavill's great. like i said, he's perfect. but his superman is far from it. cavill does a great job portraying supes and clark kent, which is astonishing and my most beloved thing about him. he is nerdy and shy and wonderfully adorable as clark. meanwhile being suave and charming and painfully likable as superman. he is. he's perfect. but zack, unfortunately, has a bad habit of not completely understanding the source material he's adapting from.

man of steel, in my opinion is a sub par film at best, but you're entitled to your opinion on that one because you consume media in your own way and i shall defend the right of everyone's opionion on media being whatever the fuck it is, till my dying day, even while i'm being murdered by man of steel lovers.

but my problem with that film lies in the fact that zack failed to understand that superman is supposed to be good. there are interviews of him talking about how he didn't want to portray superman as the goody two shoes everyone's used to, or as sanitized as we have apparently made him—which is ultimately his fatal flaw. superman isn't made to be looked at as anything but a beacon of hope. he is categorically NOT gritty or dark. he just isn't. he is, as it's so often put, kindness in a world where kindness is old fashioned. he isn't just a part of goodness in the world, he's proof of it.

i watched a lot of superman growing up, and maybe my understanding of him is different than yours, because it's certainly different than dear old zack's. but to me, clark kent is good. he lost his world, he's the last son of krypton, he carries with him a tragedy so great that it would break most men. he has every reason to be marred by loss but he chooses to be the symbol of hope. he chooses to be kindness in a world where kindness is old fashioned, because maa and paa kent taught him to be.

he defies all the predictable possibilities of being vengeful, and instead chooses to be a hero that is nothing but kind. he wakes up every morning to protect a world that was never meant to be his, because it is his world.

snyder, in my opinion, failed to see that. he failed to understand how much it takes for a man to be good, and said that superman being a goody two shoes is boring.

should we try and look closer into the grief that haunts superman? yes. should we expand on what it must feel like to him, to be the last of his kind, to be so alone in the universe? of course! should we explore more on what it must be like for a kid from smallville, kansas to grow up and realize he is different from everyone else? yep! should we inspect how isolated he must feel, how terrified, to have to control his every step, lest he rip the ground apart? a million times yes. but man of steel doesn't do that!

snyder has a long standing problem of misconstruing the point of any piece of media he finds dear. we saw that with his batman using guns and killing people (which is literally like the one thing he does not do. so much so, that when the animated series bruce is forced to pick up a gun, he fucking QUITS BEING BATMAN) and before that we've also seen it in watchmen where the superheroes and violence and vengeance is made out to be cool instead of being something gruesome and terrifying (which btw, was the point of that graphic novel—violence bad. and snyder decided to do that theme justice by shooting every single fight sequence in slo-mo and make it look super badass). so yeah, he does this. and sure man, studios fund him and people watch it—i watched it. in fact i love his watchmen, i fucking adore it. but that doesn't make it a good adaptation.

but i digress.

the point i'm trying to make is that superman is supposed to save the cat out of the tree. he is supposed to help old ladies cross the road. he is supposed to wear trunks and look a little goofy. CAUSE HIS MOM MADE HIS FIRST COSTUME, MAN. that is so cute!!!! do you understand how cute that is? it's so fucking adorable! he is supposed to be the absolute most dorky man in the universe who just happens to have powers. clark kent would have tried to save people even if he did not have powers and THAT is why he's superman and not the other way around.

so, yeah, let's hope james gunn gets that. i hope he understands the human inside the suit and he gets clark kent, son of maa and paa kent, the son of Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van, boyfriend of lois lane and friend of jimmy olsen, reporter for the daily planet. because that is the only way that you get SUPERMAN.

ppl say Benvi is a healthy relationship, implying that Daxton isn’t, thats based on what? sure Devi idolized Paxton initially, that’s not his fault, & since they started hanging out he was nothing but good to her (distant moments aside)! like Benvi, pre-sob story was pretty unhealthy IMO! also the argument that Ben is nice, conveniently omits that he was anything but nice for a lot if S1! i mean he was awful, to everyone, not just Devi, & his lonely boy story does not justify not being decent.

So this is an interesting argument that I cannot even begin to play devil’s advocate in. One of my first posts regarding NHIE is tagged with “#honestly paxton has the most genuine relationship with Devi at this point imo”. Benvi felt rushed to me because he went from being horrible to being nothing but sweet faster than Thanos can snap his ugly, purple fingers. In my opionion, Devi and Paxton have a very genuine progression of feelings. People saying that Paxton was wishy-washy ignore the fact that McEnroe narration is still largely controlled by Devi’s psyche. We should assume that Devi is narrating,and while we get objective observation, the way situations are spun are done by Devi’s bias. Paxton wasn’t being wishy washy, he was trying to be nice, and get to know her. The only time he’s “wishy washy” is when he is very genuinely hurt by what Nalini says about and to him. 

Honestly, I don’t think there is anything unhealthy about Paxton and Devi. I think we’ve all had that crush that we build up too much in our heads, and maybe they don’t live up to it, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still be good people that care about us. And it doesn’t mean that the relationship is doomed if you do date them.

Sorry, I wish I could defend Benvi even for the sake of discussion, but outside of “he challenges her academically” (which is shown in the series as being incredibly unhealthy and even a little scary at times), I have no reason to choose Ben over Paxton.

Do you prefer physical books, Ebooks or audio books?

  I used to read only physical books, me and my friend usually visited flea markets to hunt on rare books. If I liked the book, I bought the physical version. I was one of those people who didn't read ebooks, because "they don't have soul".

  But then the prices jumped and I changed my opionion lol

  Last time I bought a physical book was two-three years ago. I don't buy them anymore. Not only because of the price, but also because I have nowhere to keep them. I tried audio books, but I usually quickly lose attention.

First book that comes to mind, tell us about it. Rant

  Yesterday I was thinking about one story we read at school when I was 11 years old (I don't remember the name of the story, but as soon as I find it, I'll reread it to feel again that cringe that I experienced at 11). The book was about some guy, who was constantly beaten by absolutely everyone, including children and dogs, like, everyone hated him for no reason, and instead of defending himself, he constantly smiled at them and kind of forgave them. As far as I remember, it all ended with someone hitting him on the head with a stone and he died in a ditch. That's it, the whole story.

  I was thinking that maybe the meaning of the story was in something else, or it had no meaning and the writer just wanted to tell a story, but our teacher assured us that this man who refused to defend himself is a saint and that his example should be a lesson to all of us. It's good if you can think critically, but imagine: you are 11 years old and they tell you that if you don't defend yourself, then it makes you a saint. If you try to defend yourself, then you are no better than your bullies. Anyway, I need to find the story and read it again. I feel that there is something else than just “turn your other cheek”.
