I don't think it's that he doesn't have game, I honestly think that he feels like he can live without a partner. Like girls barely come out with stories about him and when they do it's solely based on "Trust me, this happened" He would date but he'd be very picky and wouldn't settle for half assed relationships or anything involving friends with benefits. Also isn't the type to do one night stands and would prefer intimacy with someone he's truly interested in. If he's into a girl he's into her. In my opinion he'd be into smart girls who can speak for themselves, athletic.. not exactly athletic maybe just someone who doesn't mind going hiking, or playing sports every once in awhile. Not interested in soft spoken girls, girls with no goals and motivations -- This hurts to say as I have no ambitions whatsoever and I'm very quiet LOL. As a half Japanese girl, I'm not sure if I'm really able to speak on the topic because my dad passed away before he could really teach me anything about Japan's culture, leaving me with the knowledge of very few words that I barely understand my relatives when I come to visit them. However, what Luigi said about Japan was true. You can appreciate something with also seeing the bad parts of it. Japan's always had problems with work conditions, failing to acknowledge their shitty past, ignorance of mental health, mistreatment of women, and porn addicts. That's just my take though. (Sorry if my English is bad. My first language is German.)

to add to your point about his criticisms of japan - this journalist he was subscribed to did an article about his experience with lu on a video call. luigi said that during his trip to japan, a man was having a seizure on the street. as he went to go get help from a police officer nearby, the officer wouldn't cross the street to help the man because there wasn't a walk sign permitting him to cross, even though there was A WHOLE ASS MAN SEIZING ON THE OTHER SIDE. like that's possibly life or death type shit. lu said this incident and japanese culture as a whole furthered his fear of being an "npc", unable of free thinking and confined by imaginary rules.
