Slight TW for discussion of SH (Kurt’s angelic symbols in the movies)

I think the fact that the patterns on Kurt’s skin in the movies being self harm is skimmed over a lot by the fandom? I’ve not read the comics in years so I don’t remember if they’re canon outside of the movie universe.

But speaking in the context of the movie universe, these are scars that Kurt is covered in, it’s one of the first things he says in the movies, that he did them himself, not somebody else. Which is kind of side lined in the movie itself as well.

The next time they’re brought up is at the end of X2, when Storm asks what they are, and when he explains that they’re angelic symbols, and that he has one for every sin.

I dunno I’m just a sucker for Catholic guilt and think people need to talk about this more, I’ll go into more depth another time if people are interested but I just needed to get the idea out there.

German has two levels of formality mostly expressed by pronouns and verbs. The textbook I teach German with exclusively uses formal language to refer to the students. However, I'm in my mid 20s and most of my students are just a few years younger than me. As the teacher I then had the right to "offer" informal language to them and luckily they were okay with that.
