Like second nature, Alex sighs right along with her upon this revelation, shrugging her arms up in a defeated, nigh-disgusted motion. "Ugh... why do companies like this always have to be so weird about minors? I mean, it doesn't diminish my appreciation of her, but... did they really have to make a swimsuit sprite for her?" Maybe this was another aspect of why she didn't get close to Vivian's interests much - just because the lengths people and companies would go to for fanservice left a horrible taste in her mouth.

She's only too happy to leave the topic behind, instead looking up Djeeta on her phone to take a look at what she's working with - only to gasp at what she sees. "Holy shit, gender! I- I could totally pull this off, I can see what you mean! Heck, I wouldn't- I don't need to be cosplaying to wear this outfit, I'd just wear this casually, if I could! You really think Hayate would make something like this?" To be fair, she didn't even know Hayate did that kind of thing - but then again, it was another thing on the pile of what she didn't know about him. And, honestly, she'd come to accept that.

With a grin on her face, she rises up to scooch closer to her girlfriend, leaning on her shoulder with a contented sigh. "Well... it's a lot more sophisticated than the Neco-arc cosplay I've never really worn," she hums - before allowing a long pause to fill the space between them, as her eyes turn up towards Vivian. "... I've never actually said this to you, and I kinda regret it, but... I've always wanted to cosplay for you. Just... dress up as a character from something you love. But... I've never actually had any idea where to start. I could barely figure out my own fashion after I transitioned as it is!"

    Though Hayate can be surprisingly open-minded and thoughtful, there could be no denying the fact he lacked the same cheeriness Vivian possessed; in fact, the difference between their personalities was like night and day, one may be surprised they even managed to get along at all... but through some miracle, they did, causing Alex to frequently have to hear about it.

    "Nah, you're good! To be fair, it's not like Hayupin would even be around to hear us gossiping about him... and yup, for as much as I enjoy giving him a hard time, he's still endlessly endearing! Then again, maybe I just manage to be fortunate enough to draw out his more delightful traits," she soon points out, allowing natural mirth to seep it's way through her tone. ...In fact, their relationship could pretty much be summed up as the 'me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic' meme, because ultimately, Hayate was unpredictable, to the point where he may be an asshole to another, but a tsundere with a big gap moe to someone else.

    Whatever the case, though, it doesn't take long for her to retrieve the phone back from Alex's hands before tapping out of the Draw screen and letting out a loud snicker when she proceeds to accidentally emulate her. "Seems to me you've been vivified!" Vivian jokes while subsequently scooting over on the bed so her girlfriend would have more space beside her.

    "G'raha Tia, huh? Now, that's definitely another cute 2D boy!" she later acknowledges. Granted, Vivian had never really played Final Fantasy XIV if only due to the fact Granblue Fantasy just had way more attractive looking characters, but from the screenshots posted online, she could definitely see the appeal. "Visually speaking, though, Thancred is more my type. I just personally find Nehan more up my alley because while it's true he doesn't have the same white hair Eustace does, he does an eyepatch, which boosts his hotness factor by fifty percent in my opinion," Vivian states, only to blink when Alex admits to liking Vikala more.

    "Whoa, really? Is it due to the fact her non-white haired version is a much cuter version of me? Still, I do know what you mean, since compared to all the Zodiacs, her design is the best! It's just a shame Cygames made her 14." Sure enough, she manages a sigh and sets her phone down next to her. Come to think of it, most of the Zodiac characters were adolescent girls, which was certainly a questionable decision in of itself. "But speaking of Granblue Fantasy, Lexy, how do you feel about cosplaying characters from it? Of course, I only ask, due to the fact I get the feeling you'd make a great Djeeta! Plus, I might be able to convince Hayupin to make you an outfit."

When Vox and Charlie finally interact on screen, I hope to God we won't have another "deemed as a father figure by annoying fans" situation on our hands because I will lose it. They did it with Alastor and Charlie, they did it with Vox and Velvette, they did it with Carmilla and Zestial and I'm sick of it. I'm tired of the majority of the fandom being prone to infantilize the women that have a platonic relationship with an older man. Especially when said older man has beef or relations with another older man. I swear, most of the fandom seems to be allergic to the mere possibility of their favorite male character being with a female character that it makes me suspect they're slightly misogynistic sometimes given the way they would callously treat the female characters at times.

Besides, I personally don't think Vox and Charlie would have a father-daughter relationship because, well, Vox is the villain and really doesn't give off paternal vibes (neither does Alastor but that didn't really stop the RA shippers). Unfortunately, half of the Hellaverse fandom consists of immature people with no media literacy skills whatsoever so I'm not gonna be surprised if they begin to label the pathetic man-child of a television as Dad#3 to an adult woman.

Yeah, this has been a very annoying trend across media, not unique to the hellaverse but incredibly rampant all the same. First I want to say that the Vees not being an actual polyamorous Vee is a missed opportunity.

Second, I really cannot see Vox being a father figure as anything more than a bit. Like he can't get to Charlie through being a romantic interest (canonically because of vaggie and possibly al?) so he'd try to pose himself as a shrewd businessman that makes exceptions for family or something. But much like Al's comments to Lucifer in Hell's greatest dad it would all be an act. I do "ship" Vox/Luci solely because the crackship name of AppleTv is too hilarious not too so I am for it. But I was the same of a certain other ship before a very loud segment of it ruined it by treating it like endgame canon instead of the absolute crackship it is.

As for one of your other remarks, it's a problem of fandom in general these days. You saw it when certain lumity shippers got pissy that people shipped Lunter, we saw the absolute war that was the reboot of a certain mech property that I will not name to save my sanity. Like, it's not the old days where canon queer rep was slim to none and easier to get away with portraying deeply emotionally impactful relationships with men and giving a token female love interest to say they were "straight" but then again homoeroticism in media is both a super long lived trope dating back to the gayest locales in history and a rant for another day. Canon queer ships are everywhere, not overwhelming or even equal to the ostensibly "straight" canon couples in all of literature but definitely not something you'd get burned at the stake for if you said it.

That being said, in that vacuum has arisen a sort of derision towards straight passing ships. The bisexual woman is with an asexual man? Straight. The lesbian gay man who dresses in drag on the regular who nonetheless share a deep emotional chemistry (and history of brainwashing/abuse/abandonment)? Straight. If they are not actively gay they are straight and it mirrors a lot of the real life issues people in these groups face. Because let's be honest; humans are complicated. Feelings are messy. How many queer people do we see before realizing their sexuality got married and had a straight partner and even kids? Did that mean they loved their spouse any less? Ngl one of the depictions of this I've seen is why women kill's Simone and Karl

Like Chaz from helluva boss except with money and power to back it up. The ultimate third wheel.

Can I ask why you hate OdyDio? I’m not super familiar with Greek mythology yet, and I’ve seen OdyDio as fairly popular so I’m curious about the other side lol (I personally don’t ship it just because I can’t imagine Odysseus with anyone other than Penelope tbh).

The Odyssey is literally about him trying to go back home to Penelope and their son. And even in the Iliad, Odysseus mentions her. The Odyssey only mentions Diomedes three times and never once by Odysseus (once by Nestor, twice by Menelaus) so... that goes to show how Odysseus feels about him. 🤷 Kind of wild that Odysseus mentions his wife multiple times in both works but says fuck all about his war co-worker. Menelaus was the one who talked about Odysseus so warmly in the Odyssey as well. Y'all just don't "blorbo" him enough to pair him with Odysseus.

I was just neutral about the ship existing because it's like one of those absurd crackships to me but with how popular, fanonized, and just...With HOW people have behaved about it to me ;~;

Ofc, I'm a huge Penelope fan but even with Diomedes, you can't go into his tag without OdyDio. I'm not even joking. I'm sad I've had to block Diomedes' tag as well because people don't tag right AND don't apparently see him as more than Odysseus' "fling" ;~; (I mean at least Penelope and Diomedes can relate to the fact that it sucks that a lot of people are only caring about them because of Odysseus and not because of who they are. :/ )

Just in general, with my own reading of the Iliad, I...WHERE?! xD Where is the "ship"? They are comrades and they're very different from one another personality wise. Sure, they're a good team in combat but in life??? They are not "likeminded" at ALL.

They also have a fairly large agegap, Odysseus being one of the older kings while Diomedes is one of the youngest. I have them around a decade apart in my writing If you bring up pederasty, you will be smited. You're fucking disgusting.

They also have very little in common other than them both being Athena's pets (which um. Penelope is one too, you know?). Odysseus is a fucked up lil warrior trickster who loves his wife and child more than life itself while Diomedes is a young child soldier boy who is incredibly duty bound and war is where he feels most comfortable.

Diomedes would not put up with Odysseus' rambling about his family and Odysseus WANTS to talk about that. They're co-workers.

Diomedes is a younger king who looks up to all these older and more experienced kings. "Notice me, senpai" energy, and I love it!

And I really hate this "Male/Male relationships didn't 'count' back then so it's not cheating!" like, it may not have counted THEN but it should count NOW. Male/Male relationships have counted to THOSE COUPLES and it has ALWAYS counted. Like by saying that, you're already fucking undermining this supposed beautiful relationship by saying "It wasn't seen as real :3 ".

Like is it a real relationship, important and meaningful for both, in which yeah, Odysseus IS emotionally and physically cheating. (unless Pen and him have agreed to be Poly which yes! Go forth if that's the case! :D Give Penny a GF too!) or was it a casual thing that actual just meant "nothing", therefore OdyDio means nothing? WHICH IS IT?!

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't vehemently talk about how Odysseus doesn't cheat on Penelope and then think he canonically fucked Diomedes and even had a romantic relationship with him. Is Odysseus a loyal wifeman who adores Penelope or is he a weak-minded "wifeman" who immediately starts fucking his co-worker as soon as his wife is out of sight? He has the self-control for not wanting concubines (correct) but then lacks it with Diomedes? That's not Odysseus. Make an OC at this point.

Like Admit and have fun with a crackship and then yeah, just do it because you find it hot. You don't have to pull stuff outta nowhere in order to have fun with a CRACKSHIP. (I crackship MenOdy sometimes. I know they didn't do that. I admit to the fact that it didn't happen and it goes against their characters to do so. )

OR delve into the possible feelings of Odysseus feeling like he's betraying Penelope by falling in love with another or whatever! And if it's just "casual fucking", y'all. He's fucking married and deeply in love. Have OdyPen KNOW they can both be casual so she won't feel betrayed when he tells her "Oh yeah, me and this guy were fucking during the war. :) Yeah, I fell in love with him too! No, thoughts of you weren't enough to keep me sane, I needed a fuck buddy too. Wait, why are you mad at me?"

As from what I know, with kings especially, you did NOT interact with someone like that of the same rank without consequences of being ridiculed by the others. Odysseus is older and more respected than Diomedes, and Diomedes, who is TRYING to prove himself, would not want to be with another king as that would make people respect him less! If you want to write about it, at least delve into that possible JUICY type of drama that would occur with a CRACKSHIP relationship like this! It's okay to ship something JUST because it's a fetish y'all!

That's just the Canon texts itself as to why I just simply disliked it. The fandom was... yeah ;~; made me hate that it even exists. (Not all! Some of y'all are incredibly kind and respectful of boundaries and I appreciate that! It's just that...Some were not.)

So, i just recently find out that there's an Sukuna x Cinderella ship running on Tik Tok for some reason?

Aparently that's a thing because the anime ended on a bad note and that was the way the fans tried to cope? And not only that, but ALL the JJK characters got a princess pair. The most popular i guess ia Nanami and Tiana but there's also Gojo x Elsa, and Itadori x Rapunzel which is...adorable ngl. I know that for some people that might be weird but i personally really enjoy those random crackships like Mordecai x Twilight or the infinite Sans ships with himself

Also just the idea that that's how the fandom tried to cope after a tragic ending just makes everything more cute. Their way to deal with it was making the characters have very happy relationships with Disney princesses, that's wholesome

And the fact they made Cinderella fall in love with Sukuna is just...so funny! Like, she's a characters known for her kindness while Sukuna is a literally demon, that have some fanfic potencial. Of course, this is crack because they live 200+ years away from each other dfbhjvfshdf I even have an old rough sketch for the scenario, though I didn't really finish, where he thought Ryuuka is Kana? He's very ready to fight her, as usual, but this one is always cooped up in her lab. Ryuuka probably thinks he's Alaude or Alaude's relative. Anyway, I didn't really think that deep for this.
