It's a DND type world where monsters and magic are normal. What kind of characters would Hnagmox be in a dnd fantasyland where everything goes? Are they individual adventurers? Are they out there questing? Are they magical themselves? Or they just some dudes who kick ass regardless of their setting?

hangman and mox are the epitome of just some guys

both of them start out with a band of brothers, obviously, but hangman quickly learns he's better off alone. mox, though he's always seemed a lone wolf type, always finds himself in a group. he learns the hard way what groups will do to him, but eventually, he finds one that isn't so bad. he learns quickly that he needs to hold himself away from them, just a little bit. but it gets kind of lonely in that situation.

cue the lonesome cowboy.

both of them end up, somehow, in an adventure together. they both have to learn to open up, in their own ways. but they are both experienced ass kickers, and it only takes a few brawls for them to realise how easily they meld together.

i dont really know much about dnd so i cant really speculate in terms of Class or Specs or whatever. but hangman is ranged, though he can do close quarters. mox is all about the intimate setting. when they stand side by side, though, no one can outfight them.

there IS magical component to both of them, but it's hidden. let's say it takes them a few adventures together for them to figure out what they are.

Lost in the woods (Out of the woods from 1989)

You know what's existing? When you are lost, deep into the woods, being scared of the monsters, questioning if you'll ever be able to get out.And then a hint of hope comes to you, makes you excited for the story you'll tell when you're finally in the clear again. When you'll realise the monsters were just trees. All the routes you'll have learnt along the way before you come back to the one most familiar to you.

Like the sky that holds your pieces. Sometimes they might seem too far away from eachother, sometimes they won't align like all the love songs say. The heavy clouds might not let the few pieces you tried so hard to connect be seen. The pieces you had to make sense out of on your own. While you bothered with making those little pieces shine, the planets were orbiting around your finest creation.Circling around you while focusing on them. Attracting eyes. Waiting for you to finally collect your pieces. Because the planets know,once all your dots are connected, It's you they'll want to figure out. It’s you they'll call beautiful. That is until the navy sky wants you to be something else.

So if I were to take away from this moment something deeper than “man Sevika's a freak”, I'd point out that we've seen the same tactic not long before.

What does this say about Caitlyn? She's fighting dirty. She's fighting like a cornered rat. She's fighting like a Zaunite.

And first of all there's hypocrisy. Caitlyn's been calling these people animals and monsters and whatnot but when placed in an identical situation she responds identically. Case in point: getting so mad at Jinx for terrorizing people out of grief that she goes ahead and starts to terrorize people out of grief. Sevika's expression afterwards is mostly “joke's on you I'm into that” but there's some surprise there too — you wouldn't expect that move from a Piltie.

Then there's desperation. Because she needs revenge; she needs it or she'll never ever forgive herself for what happened. So she'll throw away her morals and her dignity and just do whatever it takes to achieve the goal, whether it means chomping on someone like a feral raccoon or becoming a military dictator… which puts her in the same mindset as Zaunites, all of whom are desperate to survive and a lot of whom could never afford morals and dignity in the first place.

Drawing For Nothing is out!

Forgot to announce this here but the first ten chapters for Drawing For Nothing have been released! For those who missed the last post, this is a free, digital art book for animated films that were either canceled or bombed due to complicated issues.
