Fic Descript - Nowhere in their diaries does it mention at what point River finds out the Doctor is ticklish. Unfortunately for him, he assumes she already knows.

"Running off again?" River called out, as The Doctor pushed open the door to his TARDIS.

The Doctor turned to lean against the doorframe, flashing her a small grin. "Thought you'd expect that by now, you know me."

"I do." She smiled, moving closer so they were mere inches apart. "More than you think."

River pressed a kiss just under the side his jaw, expecting nothing more than a smirk in response before her partner would whisk himself away in his incredible blue box.

But her prediction couldn't have been further from reality, as The Doctor giggled and scrunched his shoulder up between them - making her half-jump away in surprise. River gave him a innocently puzzled look, smiling slightly in endearment at the noise he had made.

"Shut up." He blushed, refusing to meet her gaze.

River laughed, moving herself into his field of vision. "What was that?"

With a groan, The Doctor's face flushed further. "You know what that was!"

River paused, genuinely trying to come up with some recollection of what the last few seconds could possibly have been caused by. "I don't-."

"Oh-... Um- In that case-" The Doctor began to backpedal, but his reaction was only quick enough to realise his incorrect assumption had just landed him in deep trouble.

"Wait..." River smirked, catching on at the perfect time to put 2 and 2 together. "Are you ticklish?"

There it was.

The Doctor broke into a rare, nervous smile. "Uh... No...?" He stated with an unconvincingly low level of confidence.

"Is that so?" She smirked.

"Um-"

"Remind me, what's the first rule of travelling with The Doctor?" River asked innocently, sliding her hand around his torso and casually poising her fingers against each of his lower ribs.

"River!" He squeaked, his hands fumbling over themselves. "I'm not-! You don't-! It's not-!"

River closed what little distance remained between their faces, so once again her lips brushed against his neck. "The Doctor lies."

His shoulders scrunched up, though this time The Doctor put far more effort into resisting any hint of a smile spreading across his face - he was practically vibrating with effort. River slowly traced her fingers over his ribs, relishing in every jump and reluctant snicker that managed to sneak through the cracks in the Doctor's resolve.

"What a rare sight..." She teased, beginning to softly claw her hands over his sides. "The Doctor, left speechless... I never thought I'd see the day."

"RIVER!" He yelped, twisting away from her.

Unfortunately for him, that only led to River wrapping her arms around his waist and fluttering her fingers over his stomach.

Every time her hands touched down it seemed worse than the last time, and so it didn't take long for the Doctor to burst into helpless giggles. It was like she naturally gravitated to each of the most ticklish areas on his body, hitting each spot like clockwork and tearing the poor Time Lord apart.

"Still sure you're not ticklish?" She half-shouted above his laughter.

When he didn't respond, she decided to move her hands down to latch onto his hips.

"NO RIHIVER YOU KNOHOW I CAHAN'T!" He cackled, desperately trying to push her hands off of him.

"What, have we done this before?" She chuckled as her fingers drilled into the sensitive bones.

"SHUHUT UHUP!" The doctor cackled, trying to twist out of her arms.

"Oh Sweetie," She cooed sympathetically, hooking under his arms and moving her fingers up to twirl around his neck and ears. "Does it tickle?"

He curled his shoulders up with a giggle, sinking into her embrace. Although it still tickled like hell, he appreciated the break from his far more ticklish upper body, and at this point was too tired to fight back.

Thankfully, River also seemed to sense his complete exhaustion, and so it didn't take long for her to finally let him free. They both sunk to the floor, with The Doctor lying exhausted in her lap.

"There's no way that was your first time." The Doctor panted, a smile still stuck on his face.

River laughed gently. "And why's that?"

He shot her a glare. "You figured out I was ticklish ridiculously quickly, and then you knew exactly where to tickle me every single time."

She shrugged, but couldn't help the grin sneaking onto her face. "Maybe you're just easy to read."

He rolled his eyes and sat up. "Did you know I was ticklish or not?"

River grinned. "Spoilers."

I do believe in fate, but you have to understand that predicting something can be very confusing at the hands of people who are obsessed. Mainly because of tunnel vision. I feel like one of the reasons astrology is a banned practice in most religions is because of the great conflict & confusion it may bring. And honestly looking at modern mainstream astrology? No shit, it happens all the time.

Heres a sorta drabble/headcanon of sorts of how I picture MC's relationship with Sylus would devleop~ I'm not much of a writer but the brainrot is real and ive made similar ones for the other boys too!

Sylus is always prepared for any and every situation that could happen when he works, In all his time reigning over the N109 zone there hasn't been a single thing or person that hasn’t been accounted for to some degree- that was until you showed up at least. Like a black cat, you seemed to bring unexpected chaos wherever you stepped.

Of course he couldn’t help but do everything he can to keep you by his side, not only to be a formidable ally but simply cause he finds you as a whole fascinating. What kind of things will you say next? How will you get out of this situation? It’s like a game to him, one that he can’t predict or brute force the ending to.

While the two of you didn't get off on the best foot at the start, he proved himself very trusting and that he cared for your well being fairly easily. Sure he would take chances to tease you for the littlest things- even creating various situations just to see your reaction to them, but he still honestly responded to your every question and kept you as best in the loop for things as he was able.

It was strange yet nice to have someone like him by your side, someone so strong and confident that you could trust to cover your back and seemingly trusted you as much to cover his in return. It was a dynamic you weren’t that used to yet, sure you had your fellow hunters but no matter how much you fought alongside any of them you just couldn’t find yourself fully trusting in their abilities like this.

The more he got to know you the more he found himself thinking about you and the things you like. Often swiping his card first and thinking later any time your face flashed in his mind when perusing wares. He wonders how long it will take you to realize he keeps all of his estates fully stocked with presents and everything you might need in the event you show up to any of them.

“Sylus? Why are you calling me so early??” “Check your door kitten, you should have a package waiting for you” “Don't tell me its another gun, I keep telling you I can't use these outside of the N109 zone” he chuckles deeply “Well I could get you a gun too if you really want one. But no, it's something different this time” Curiously you grab the box and start to open it “...A teddy bear?” “Do you not like it? I figured it could add to your growing plush collection.” You let out a small giggle “That's so sweet of you. But you didn't have to send it to me right away, you could've left it in my room for the next time I came by like usual.” his voice is soft, almost whispering into your ear “I couldn't wait to give it to you is all. Wont you accept my gift?” Your heart pounds “I love it, thank you. Ill be sure to sleep with it every night!” your face is beaming, he cant see it through the phone but he can surely hear it in your voice.

Any time you find yourself without missions long enough to justify the trip, you spend it in the N109 zone with him. You told yourself at first it was just to keep an eye on him and see if you can catch any weaknesses, but you were secretly excited to be spending time with him even if it was just sitting in content silence together while he worked. And despite his unchanging face, Sylus might’ve looked forward to each of your visits even more than you.

It wasn’t out of the ordinary to accompany him to various events and gatherings, and it was surely strictly for business at first. Now though? It’s hard to tell. Not that you mind either way, it just felt nice to have his arm around you and being doted on throughout the night. When people inquired about who you were, he would usually refer to you as his woman in a more joking way at first, but your heart couldn't help but flip the first time he said it more genuinely. While looking right at you with a smile.

One very late night after attending a party, you couldn't help but doze off in the car on the way back to his place. It was much later in the night than you are typically used to, you don’t know how he can function at this time of night most days. You can’t help but let your mind wander and picture what day to day life with him would be like if you just never went back home.- If you stayed by his side for the rest of time.

He gently carries you inside, but instead of going all of the way to your dedicated room he brings you with him into his. There's no nefarious plans, he just simply wants to have you by his side longer and has wished to wake up to your face for far too long. A faint hum stirs you from your dreams as you are being gently placed onto the comfort of his mattress. A small kiss pressed to the top of your head as the blankets pulled over you before he quietly climbs in beside you.

Did you even wake up in the first place? Even if it was still a dream it meant everything to you, and you reach an arm out pulling yourself close to him and nuzzling into his side. Your eyes flutter closed once more enjoying his warmth as he quietly chuckles to himself and wraps an arm around you in return, falling into a blissful sleep of his own. Neither of you would give up this moment for the world, you were meant to be in each other’s arms just like this for eternity.

He would kill for you, and you would live for him. Nothing anyone could do would predict your love for one another, and you'll continue to defy fate to be with him

Jungkook - Vedic Chart Observations + Predictions

My first time making this post I had the wrong birth time. I've finally found the time to do a proper read with hopefully the correct time - 3:23-3:35 PM

Also I hope everyone just takes this as fun. I do not mean any disrespect in making assumptions. I am well aware, I do not know him or his life. Please take it as entertainment.

I think it'd be fun if any long-term fans could fact check my assumptions based on his chart. And I really want to emphasize this is just for fun. I really hope I don't offend anyone 💗

This is using vedic so signs and planets will all be different from western. The timing section uses both western & vedic methods.

Money and Family/Early Life:

2nd H - Jupiter in Cap - This is Jupiter's debilitation. This can indicate financial hardships throughout one's life. However, in D9 his Jupiter is exalted in Cancer . This shows as he ages, his Jupiter gains power. In his case, Jupiter gains the power to financially bless him. He may have started out in a family that didn't have the best financial standing but it was destined that he would improve this area of his life.

5th H ruler (Mars) in 11th H - This is another wealth indicator. It shows someone who is eager and motivated to go after their desires. Mars is very protective of it's wealth and desires in this house. Funny enough mars as 5th ruler in 11th can indicate older brother helping you gain wealth since mars shows brothers/male friends and 11th H shows gains and eldest sibling. Jungkook has had BTS all help him gain wealth & achieve his desires & vice versa.

2nd H is ruled by Saturn - This shows the wealth would come through hardwork and patience. The negative of this placement is it indicates carrying family burdens. In Jungkook's situation, he started working very young (as a teen) and likely is the main provider for his family.

Saturn AK as ruler or 2nd & 3rd in 4th H - This shows it is apart of his life's purpose to take burdens off his family. If you believe in past lives, this shows needing to repay his parent’s soul who he may have known in his past life. If you do not believe in past life's, it simply shows life's purpose is connected to working and his family.

4th H ruler (Jupiter) in 2nd H - This is an indicator of expanding your family's legacy. This manifests different for everyone’s charts tho. IRL I've this in the chart of someone who took over their family restaurant and made it much more profitable. This placement also shows the mother runs the family and household. The household likely doesn't follow the traditions of the man/dad will run the home. The mom can be like a teacher and guide for everyone in the family.

Saturn in 4th H - shows his mother and home instilled traits of discipline, hardwork, patience, maturity. This can show his mother may have been the main disciplinary parent when he did something wrong as a kid. In the sign of pisces the usual saturn in 4th energy changes tho, here Saturn isn't as tough, pisces is an emotional and adaptable sign. His home life wouldn't have been as limiting as other people with Saturn in 4th. His early life may have been routined and structured rather than strict and cold.

3rd H ruler (Saturn) in 4th H - Occasionally this shows a child who learned to speak slowly or at a later age than norm. A quiet or shy kid/toddler. I'm not sure if anyone other than his mom and dad would be able to confirm that tho lol. This also shows his regular communication style to be generally truthful and keeping things to the point and short - not short & sweet tho because Saturn brings honesty, making him less likely to sugarcoat things.

Moon in Leo 9th H - Moon represents the mother in vedic but when in 9th it can provide insight on the father. In this case, his dad takes on a motherly role as well. If you believe in past lives, this placement shows you knew your father's soul in a past life. He may have even helped him out in the past life too. His dad may have been encouraging and supportive. Moon loosely conjunct Mercury in 9th shows his dad may be one of his closest friends.

Education, Travel and Father:

Moon in Leo 9th H - I think Jungkook doesn’t have a college or higher education. However, this placement shows someone who values formal education. Someone who can desire to change or get involved in the government through education or politics. However, I don't believe Jungkook has ever spoken on politics.

In his case, his 9th H planets seem to manifest as interest in foreign travel. 9th is the house of higher education and travel so this makes sense. His higher education can be seen as being gained through experiences - especially experiences abroad.

This placement shows becoming very religious/spiritual/philosophical after the father's death. I am unaware if Jungkook has ever spoken about religion before tho. If he has, he may embrace that religion more than he already does.

Sun in 9th H/9th H ruler in 9th - This shows strong interest in travel. This shows the father instilled strong morals. The father figure in his life gives wise advice. This is a blessed placement to have - it shows good past life karma and strong wealth indicator. In Jungkook's case, the ruler (sun) is placed well in it's home sign conjunct a benefic (moon). This adds to the strength of this placement. This shows Jungkook could have made an excellent preacher, motivator or teacher. His dad or father figure may have been a great at these things too.

Spouse/Marriage:

Venus in 10th H - In a man's chart this indicates meeting the wife in a professional setting. His 7th H ruler and DK being in 9th indicates he will meet his spouse when far from the birth place - possibly abroad - for a work related event.

Venus in Virgo 10th H - This Venus is debilitated. This doesn't mean the spouse will be bad or he will have a bad love life. It shows the planet Venus is unable to freely express itself in this sign's energy. Virgo is practical and analytical, it won't let Venus go recklessly indulge itself in love, money or other pleasures.

Virgo Venus has a practical approach to relationships - venus won't risk anything for love when in virgo. It shows Jungkook won't fall for someone based off appearance. He likely would disagree with the idea of "love at first sight". His approach to relationships is more cautious and logical. He knows the consequences of love and relationships. He'll consider the worst case scenarios before even approaching someone for a date.

He needs to know his wife on a much deeper level to trust her. Venus in 10th H shows he needs her to understand his career and image. She will be cautious and hardworking herself to understand how it is to be in the public eye.

The difficult part of having Venus in Virgo shows Jungkook can be very hard on himself. Venus here can make one feel love is to be earned. This makes one very critical of themselves, it can make them connect their self esteem to their looks, money and career. Venus can feel unworthy, Venus is constantly looking to perfect itself when in Virgo.

7th ruler (Mercury) in 9th H and DK in 9th H - This shows the spouse may be younger or youthful in appearance. She may have higher education and/or she is well travelled. She is likely a foreigner - this doesn't always mean someone from a different country, places in your own country can be foreign to you. His wife's culture and background will be new/foreign to him.

Her communication style will be charming. Something about her communications style really shines - ex: she could have pretty voice, she could be very funny, she could speak eloquently, she could be witty/clever- she could even be a writer professionally or as a hobby. However, it seems likely she would have or will later in life have published work.

Moon in DK - Typical description of Moon DK is a sensitive spouse, however in this case moon is in a fixed sign. This makes the spouse less likely to be overlysensitive but she will still have a sensitive side to her. This also shows the spouse can treat Jungkook like a child at times. After marriage, she takes on a nurturing role - ex: consistently asking him how did you sleep? did you eat? Due to DK conjunct mercury she can be very chatty too so she'll likely be the type of wife randomly texting him these questions but also other random things that come to mind or occur in her day. Not saying she's scatterbrained but she is fast thinking and moving - she could be very witty/funny.

DK conjunct Mercury and SUN shows she might be younger but she won't be unsuccessful. This is a hardworking lady. She has earned her way to wherever she is and she will not take shit. This is the sun's influence. She will be prideful and at times authoritative & stubborn. She’ll have a leadership position or leadership energy. Being stubborn is highly likely due to all these planets being conjunct in a fixed sign.

She may be interested in humanitarian causes. This might be something she is educated on or talks/writes about at some point. DK in 9th H, she will share and educate Jungkook on her beliefs and culture. They may even do something related to speaking up for certain causes or charity events together at some point in their lives. Mercury and sun’s influence in leo 9th H shows standing up for something bigger than yourself.

Timing relationships:

Jungkook has a few late marriage indicators (Venus Virgo, Venus opposite Saturn, 7th H ruler conjunct Sun). He may still need to go through relationships before meeting his spouse tbh.

A lot of this is based on SR which requires correct current location. If he moves, a lot of this is unlikely to be true. So take it as entertainment:just for fun

Sept 1 2025 to Sep 20 2027 - There are indicators in dasha periods & SR of a relationship. However, based on transit and sr in 2026 it seems he will let something or someone go in favour of something else.

Mars in 7th house of relationships shows conflict with partners and south node over 7th h ruler shows letting a partnership go. This could be in a professional sense rather than romantic. Hard to tell because he is very private.

2028 - The SR does show relationships being a big focus on this year. However, SR 7th ruler (moon) conjunct uranus indicates an unstable year. SR mars, venus and south node are in 7th h these indicate ups and downs in relationships. It's like he can't decide how he feels or finds out something shocking suddenly & it changes how he feels- for better or worse.

2029 / Age 32 - This year seems pretty important for his career/image and money. He may be more public or more social irl. He could confirm his relationship this year or be more of public presence in other ways. However, this could also be in his personal social life. This why it's so difficult to be accurate with celebs, we don't actually see their real lives.

2032 / Age 35 - This is a highly favourable year for relationships. He'll likely marry this year.

Sept 1 2034 - Nov 30 2036 / Age 37-38 - This is likely when he'll have kid, make a big move, expand his family or home.

BTW I realize I didn't specifically state which year he'll meet his spouse just the year he might marry. This is because truthfully his relationship may begin in one of the years where another ends - not implying cheating or anything like that. It seems the start is unstable in some way - might meet and then separate before coming back together.

i really loved your song about mouthwashing, your songs are so intricate and clever that even when i don't care or have since stopped carrying about the piece of media that inspired them , I listen endlessly to them and find myself also trying to find myself as moved by the piece of media as I was for your songs , I try to love them the way you loved them and I don't often succeed , but in your songs while listening i do love the media , the puzzles you make the things you analyse, I liked mouthwashing but it was something I'm used to maybe , it didn't shock me because I predicted some of the plotwists and I don't know , I'm a bit sad it's not as important to me as it seems to be to everyone, but your song is so wonderful it changes my love completely ,its so gutting , the game is so gutting , it's so desperate and vividly horrifying and alive and hurting in the steady rhythm of teeth tearing fleesh, thank you , thank you , I think your voice is wonderful I wouldn't trade it for any other.

I too, like many people, saw the "twist" coming, but it not really about the twist for me, it's about the slow inevitable dread, the confirmation of suspicion through the unraveling of things observed and not said. It's the metaphorical visual language of the game, it's how it says a lot with a little.

Just like with Wrong Organ's other game How Fish Is Made, you guess the twist pretty much immidiately, up and down doesn't matter, it's inevitably, mortality, the absurdity and fear that comes with a single brief existence.

PREDECESSOR AND PROGENY

Phillip always did like his share of pretty, tan brunettes. He'd cheated on her with one when they were still in highschool- but she'd forgiven him easily back then- After all, she wasn't being too loyal either.

“...I'm glad you finally decided to answer my emails, Miss Pham.” Irene speaks. “Can I call you Anna?” The girl nods.

Anna finally meets her eyes. Such sad, brown little eyes. “...He always told me to-”

“Ignore them?- That what I was saying was a bunch of horseshit? Yeah. I figured.” Irene shakes her head. Phillip Graves was still so predictable to her.

She laughs. Anna’s guard is still up. But of course. Irene was always the bad guy in Phillip’s stories.

“How long have you and Phillip been…together?” Irene asks.

Annie pauses. “Officially?...About…Two years.”

“Marriage?” Irene interrogates the girl. She knows she's coming off a bit strong- but from what she's heard of that girl? She should be biting back.

“He…Implies it.” Anna says meekly, almost shy, embarrassed.

“Any babies in the picture?”

“...I have a son.”

“His?” Irene raises a brow, sighing when the younger woman shakes her head no.

“I'm guessing Phillip's sinking his teeth into that one.” Her green eyes glance down at her cup. “I'm not proud to say I deprived that man of fatherhood. I wouldn't let him see Jack till he was around fifteen. Didn't want him ruining my boy.” Irene shifts in her chair. “I suppose Phillip is doing some…compensating on his part for yours.”

She thinks about when Jack told her about his encounter with Phillip's new squeeze when he came to visit once last year- the girl was mortified upon meeting him, but so sweet and bubbly nonetheless.

“I don't think she knew I existed ‘til we met that day.” Jack admitted to his mother over the phone. He recalled seeing his father a bit anxious as Anna told him, “Phillip never mentioned a son to me.” With a strained smile.

She'd never have dated him if she knew he had a kid her age for sure.

Irene was admittedly, a bit miffed realizing Phillip had roped someone else into his bullshit- learning she's young. She's pretty. Not surprised she's military either.

And to meet her and see the damage done is, pitying.

“...What's your son's name?” Irene asks, and Annie takes her phone to show a little baby with the most furrowed brow in irritation she's ever seen- but cute. Undeniably so.

“His name is Sylas Thomas- But…I just call him Tommy.” She says quietly.

“His father is…?”

“...Not in the picture” Annie admits, looking sad. “He…got deported the day I found out I was pregnant. I…I don’t know why he won’t talk to me.”

“...Sad coincidence.” Irene mumbles. Maybe not so much of a coincidence- but it would hurt to kick her while she's still down. It would be just like Phillip to deport her man… And threaten him into no contact. He was fiercely protective of what he thought was his.

“When I found out I was pregnant with Jack, I was already finishing the divorce proceedings.” Irene explains. She had a solid case for primary custody- bruises. Settled out of court, without any charges and he fucked off once he realized she'd won.

“I'm not going to tell you what to do, Anna.” Irene speaks low. “...But I'm sure you've heard your fair share of warnings. And this is me, someone who's been in your shoes, warning you to run before you end up carryin’ his baby too.”

But the girl only wilts like a flower deprived of water.

“I can't go.” Anna sighs. “He's all I have now.”

“He will take more if you keep letting him take at all.” Irene insisted. “...I'm sure you think he loves you. I'm sure he thinks he does too…” Irene's eyes close as she remembers their old life. Church on Sundays. Dancing in the kitchen. Calling when he could. “...Don't let him make you a victim, Anna. Don't make him the one that'll save you- because he won't be.”

Irene gives her her number. She registers it under “Salon” in case Phillip peeks through her contacts again. He’d begun doing that lately.

Irene leaves that Cafe hoping she got through to her somehow. That even if she stays, she won't let that bastard step on her.

Phillip Graves was a wound on women. He couldn't help but forget they're people, not toys. It was in his nature to conquer.

And that girl was finding out the hard way.

so i had in my mind been like "when the farm season is over i'm gonna get so much done" and also in my mind been like "bitch be real i am going to be decompressing uncontrollably and will achieve nothing" and just as one might have predicted, i have split the difference, spinning wheels wildly and also achieving little.

i did do a final definitive trial of ADHD meds, long put-off because the season was too hectic, and decided that yes, my impression of July was correct, I suck at being medicated LOL

I did start publishing the 150k of incoherent fanfic I started writing in August while insane, and I might keep going on that; there's a small audience but a lovely one

and I really really did take the characters from that fanfic and shove them into a new story and I have written several tens of thousands of words of notes but in the last couple of days I actually think I have begun to write a draft. So.

If anyone is interested in possibly doing some beta-reading, even just cheer-reading, of a draft of an original novel about bisexual tall ship sailors in a solarpunk setting, I should mention that the stay-at-home wife is turning out to be the B-plot heroine (it might actually be the A plot) and the Admiral's sassy gay socialite husband is doing some heavy lifting I hadn't expected, but on the other hand, the children are less onscreen than I'd expected. And I'm not sure where the sex is going to fit in, if at all. But there is still an OT3.

So let me know about that. I'm not quite ready with a shareable draft but I'm two chapters in and cautiously optimistic that this is actually a story. Maybe?

But I'm about to head back to the farm for the turkey processing ordeal, which is a solid week of extremely hard work with a major holiday in the middle with family obligations and then more work immediately afterward, so I don't expect to have time to work on it for a bit. But it's ruminating in there, I promise.

I have a snippet, which is a first-- everything I've written so far I've hated upon rereading, so that's why I think I'm making progress. I've renamed everyone but kept the first names mostly, where I didn't swap genders. This is the opening of chapter 2, so we've already had Technology Backstory With Smart Wifey, and Action Sequence At Sea With Explosions, and now it's time for Character Backstories:

James always jumped and Tom always caught him, that was how it had worked since they were about thirteen, and he spun around to absorb some of the excess velocity and then kissed James soundly on the mouth before setting him down.  “Atkins, you fucker,” Yardley said. He’d knocked both their hats off. He was tan, straight off a run from around the Storms, and had been long-scheduled to meet them here. Constellation’s limping had slowed them down so much they were eight days overdue, so he’d likely been hanging around a while now. “I hear you have a good excuse for being late.” “I don’t know that it’s good,” Tom said, retrieving their hats and putting Yardley’s back on him. Then he realized it was the wrong hat, so he switched them. “But it couldn’t exactly have been avoided.”  James grabbed his face in both hands and kissed him again, and it could read as just friendly to a casual observer but Tom knew it was not, and smiled, curling his tongue wickedly but briefly behind James’s teeth before pulling back. James kept hold of his face and frowned. “You look like shit,” he said. “Thanks,” Tom said. “You look like you’ve been lying around Barka drinking and fu--” He rerouted the sentence, remembering they weren’t alone. “Making friends.” “Well,” James said modestly, preening, “naturally.”

If King Charles is the one stopping the media from reporting on Harry and his wife's use of a surrogate he's protecting himself as much as he's protecting Harry. All three would have knowingly tampered with the line of succession which is against the law and it's considered an act of treason as well. King Charles would have to answer for this and the consequences he faces would be greater than those Harry would.

There are some who still predict King Charles having short reign and abdicating. I've never thought of him a someone who would abdicate as he's waited to be king for so long but if he doesn't have a choice there would need to be a valid reason for it to happen.

I and I think a lot of other people just want to know the truth. Main stream media is a joke nowadays so I'm not surprised they've agreed to keep quiet. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to find a way to blame Prince William for it or the late Queen.

I just want to know the truth as well. All the lies and evasions are tiring and tiresome. I think whoever does tell the truth will get a few brownie points just for being the one to come out and say it. I have heard rumours that Harry was supposed to reveal the truth as part of his rehabilitation process, but he changed his mind and backed out of doing so. I'm not sure how true the rumours are.

I don't know how much plausible deniability The King has in this matter. Her Late Majesty made it quite clear with Archie's birth announcement that the palace was just reporting what they had been told, with no medical people to back it up, but if The King is deliberately keeping the truth from the public then that puts him in a different situation.

I wouldn't be surprised if the palace is not so much looking for someone to blame as trying to pin all the blame firmly on Meghan so they can gloss over Harry's complicity.

I think it's really interesting how Cater is portrayed in a very superficial way in canon, but the fandom made their own takes on his character and end up making content of him being a mentally ill teenager. I agree with it partially, but if I think about it for some while; I end up believing he is the person to be blank when no one is near. Like, when you see him with people he is trying very hard to fit in and to be liked. But it tires him very much. When he's alone, he doesn't show much emotion because there is no one to see him at that moment. In a way, it's a neverending circle of feeling like he's never going to be loved and then getting proof that he is well-loved. And I don't think he would post his struggles online, at least not on a main account (<- this is about his character in canon, not the funny way people portray him for fanon content... I like social media aus with a bit of struggler Cater).

I am not even sure he would be funny on social media, because yes, it would gain him a reputation but only as a funny guy. It is difficult for people to see funny influencers being serious, because there is an image built of them that sorta stays there for a long while. I don't think Cater would like to be seen as "just a funny guy" unless it was a guaranteed 100% success. He actually cares about Magicam pictures a lot, and he is interested in fashion (and has a crush on Vil Schoenheit in some way, canonically). One way or another, he wants to be respected but feels a lot of inferiority when it comes to comparing himself with other people.

Canonically, Cater having a side account for consuming relatable content feels okayish. Yet a part of me believes he wouldn't. Like, it's nice he can relate to other people; but he'll never relate to those around them. He is superficial in the way he interacts with others, because - for example - he is constantly thinking they'll never reach out to him when they graduate. He feels alone in his own world, he feels accepted in social media. Would relatable content make him feel better about how he is feeling? I don't know. Maybe he tries to actively avoid it so he never feels bad, and is in a constant state of emotional numbness when alone. Maybe he consumes the content but never goes and post it. Maybe he posts it??? On a side account??? Cater isn't a character known for his predictable ways of acting...

rachel - knight of rage

jake - rogue of blood

tobias - breath

marco - seer of mind or seer of heart

cassie - maid of heart or maid of space

ax - possibly light? i was always least sure of him

david - void

rachel is definitely a knight, probably a knight of rage. knights are said to protect their aspect or protect with their aspect, and rachel's primary motivations throughout the entire series are to protect the people she loves. (the knights we meet in homestuck also tend to struggle with facades and their sense of self which, like, hello?) rage meanwhile, while it can be the aspect of anger, also encompasses fear and skepticism -- sometimes healthy, sometimes not. one of the most important parts of rachel's character to me, besides her protectiveness, is the times we see she's afraid. not really afraid of the yeerks or even of dying, she's afraid of herself and who she's becoming, afraid of losing her friends and family, which is what drives her protectiveness. plus, the berserker getting the rage aspect is so on the nose that it works

jake is blood for sure, but i never settled on a class for him. it feels like a fandom cliche to make the leader a blood player but like. come on. he's absolutely blood! blood concerns itself primarily with interpersonal bonds, connections, and responsibility which is A) jake's main drive for the fight (ie, saving tom) and B) the reason he was chosen as team leader to begin with. the other animorphs primarily know each other through their relationships with jake, and in turn, jake can read his teammates so well that he could near accurately predict how anyone would respond in a given situation. if i had to pick a class for him off the top of my head, he might be a rogue. theyre said to steal their aspect for the benefit of others (whatever that means tbh) but i also just think it would be so funny if the "andalite bandits" were headed by a rogue

tobias is breath easily. its also kind of on the nose when you consider that breath players get air/wind powers, but more importantly, breath is the aspect of freedom and disconnect. thats just... tobias. i dont have to explain myself. thats tobias. and also importantly, breath is the opposite aspect to blood, which for the purposes of this analysis do well to help emphasize how opposite he is to jake.

marco i can see as both a mind and a heart player. theyre opposites, but its pretty common in homestuck for characters to embody traits of their opposite aspects anyway. mind is thinking and rationality, while heart is feeling and emotion, but mind and heart both have a lot to do with identity and self. mind is to obscure the self and heart players is to embrace the self, but then, part of a character's journey is struggling with what their aspect means to them; the comic's most popular heart player has very obvious mind tendencies after all. marco is the Thinking Man of the group but he's not a robot. he's honestly pretty susceptible to letting his emotions get in the way of his decision making, particularly when it comes to his mom. he's either a mind player with very strong heart leanings or vice versa. as for him being a seer of either, seers are the class of knowledge and observation, which make them well suited for being tacticians.

cassie is hard to pin down tbh. she has the feeling empathetic nature of heart for sure, but space being the aspect of creation just feels so fitting for her in a way i can't explain. either way, i'm thinking maid -- maids are said to be particularly close to their aspect which can be both beneficial and detrimental if they don't learn how to strike balance. maids are also commonly headcanon to be a healer class and i just like the idea of cassie being a healer of heart/self or healer of space/creation

oh, aximili. he's the hardest for me to classpect which is why he's last*. my only real argument for ax as light is that light is the aspect of knowledge, among other things, and he's the closest thing the team has to an IT guy and alien expert. no idea about class.

david is void definitely. besides being appropriately edgy-sounding, my reasoning is also kind of mean, and i love being kind of mean to david. so, his actions in the series are honestly pretty light-y. because, besides being the aspect of knowledge, light is also pretty attention-seeking which imo david's role as a traitor who tries to align himself with whoever has the most power in a given situation, only to eventually attempt to weasel his way into power himself... right up until he gets bested by those he underestimated and cast into literal obscurity. light's opposite, void, IS the aspect of insignificance and obscurity. it's the aspect of "nothing." and wouldn't it just piss him off to learn he was destined for nothing?

He had been one of the main people making money in his family for decades now, that was how things worked. Not the other way around. He also wasn't as likable as Lira. She had a way about her that made her seem approachable and fun, people were probably quite eager to help her. He wasn't so sure he would be received the same way.

"But it's easy for me to say that. I've never had to steal just to feed myself." He shrugged. Theft to him was a forgivable crime under a lot of circumstances. Most people did it because they were desperate. "Anyway...since you are bad at stealing, how about I give you a chance to earn some money?" He chuckled, it sounded almost like he was recruiting her for a job.

As Tylio laughed at her comment, Lira felt the corners of her mouth involuntarily raise. It was as if his little laugh echoed in her chest for a second. Him staying so calm after Lira had just admitted to wanting to scam him surprised her. But, at the same time, it didn't. After all, she was still here, in his living room. His very nice smelling living room. Her eyebrow rose to him alluding to 'making her worse'. Unimaginable for the drifter; her eyes fled over the room, subconsciously looking for proof for his hypothesis. He just seemed too stable to be any rustle in Lira's greasy feathers. His words from before echoed in her ears 'So, I bore you and you like it'...Lira smiled. This time it was her who snickered at his offer. "It's not as much fun when you're just giving it to me...that's why I either steal or earn my money." she said, her eyes darting toward the banjo case, which was still wet, standing in the corner of the living room. Him being curious made Lira curious and she leaned forward, once again losing cigarette ash on his table. His question made her think for a second and she puffed her cheeks. "Phew...man...I mean, what are we talking here?"

"What's a bunch of money? A few hundred? Sure, I'd smoke that, maybe get a new backpack, new strings for the banjo, some better shoes...a few thousand? I might even buy a car with that." even just saying that out loud made her feel strange. Money was never a thing she thought about when she thought about things she really needed. Most things just came to her when she started looking, at least in her experience. Having barely enough money to buy herself booze was enough for her. It had been for the past seven years. But what if? No, she wouldn't allow herself to even think that far. More money, more problems. "You know what? Let's turn the tables...what would you do, if you suddenly had no money?" her eyes met his again, and again, her lips did that thing where she started involuntarily smiling.

Sorry for the follow up ask, but I was wondering what you would think would happen when Ga On finds out Yo Han is alive for sure. It would probably be emotional of course, but would Yo Han even want Ga On's help knowing this situation is dangerous? Would Ga On let that stop him, if not for himself then for Elijah, or because he would have to do not-so-great things to be able to help Yo Han? And on that note, would he tell Elijah? Because Yo Han definitely wouldn't want him to, underestimating how much Elijah cares about him and not wanting to put her in danger or further rock the boat of her proverbial mental state. Even if Ga On agrees to keep it a secret, could he manage it or would it slip out in his unnatural happiness and excitement? And when (or if) the situation settles and Ga On realizes Yo Han can't stay in Korea as a dead/wanted man, would he leave with them? Or would he stay as Soo Hyun's friend (because he probably doesn't have a lot of other connections in this situation), especially after all the favours he's asked of her for Yo Han to even get the chance of leaving Korea?

Because I really want her to be more developed as an individual and think she has a lot of potential, would Soo Hyun grow as a cop and a person after having to reckon with all the corruption she probably is exposed to and reality-checked on through Ga On as they navigate this new mystery? How would that change her life plan or how she sees herself in respect to justice, morality, and her ability to do good? Like how she may realize that she hadn't actually helped some of the people she thought she had when her position as a cop forcibly aligned her with a corrupt system, and her involvement typically stopped at an arrest.

Your response inspired me so much that I immediately had to get these thoughts out, though of course feel free not to response to all or even any of them.

The way you understand and explore these characters is really amazing, and I love how you interact with ideas and possible situations in ways I never could have imagined.

For context, here's the first ask.

I think that Ga On would immediately want to help Yo Han once he finds out that he's alive for real — regardless if Yo Han wants him to or not — and Ga On wouldn't tell Elijah about it. Which would be difficult for him to keep from her, no doubt, but he'd stick to it with incredible dedication and stubbornness because a) he knows that's what Yo Han would want, b) it spares Elijah the agony of worrying (even if thinking Yo Han is dead is of course painful, too, but, like you say — her mental state is already fragile), and c) gives him more room to do what's necessary.

Like, sure, Elijah might be able to help, but Ga On would have to fend off her questions and focus on keeping her safe half of the time, since she'd want to rush in and help Yo Han, too. So while it's a bit cruel — and Elijah is going to be very angry when she eventually finds out — Ga On would do it without regrets. Because just like he made the choice to lie to Elijah about the fire, he does it because he thinks it's what's best for her. And, to some degree, I think I'd agree with him? It's cruel to keep her in the dark, yes, but it's definitely easier to just approach her after Yo Han has been saved and spare her days, weeks, and/or months of agony.

As for what Ga On would do once it's all over, I think that depends a little on how it's resolved? And what the situation was, exactly. But I think he'd lean towards going with Yo Han and Elijah, at least on a sort of "I'm just going to stay with them for a couple of weeks and make sure they get settled properly." So it might not be permanent — or at least not intended to be permanent — but he'd probably end up staying a lot longer than he says he will x'D

Which would make him feel guilty considering that he left Soo Hyun behind. But, in many ways, I think they would need that distance? Because, considering the turn their relationship is going to take, they'll both need some time to figure out who they are without the other.

Which brings me to a thing I realise I forgot to mention in the other ask, which is that I think this should be a story told from Soo Hyun's perspective. Because I agree that she deserves the development the drama deprived her of (simply because they knew she was going to die, it feels like) and that's most easily achieved from her POV. If the story was told by her, it would be easier to follow her growth as she works through her feelings and the conflicts that begin to arise when she's faced with how willfully blind she's been.

So she'd start out pretty similar to how she is in the drama but, slowly but surely, she won't be able to hold on to that any longer. Partly because she, too, has to try and deal with Professor Min's betrayal and her own feelings regarding the state of their country and the corruptiong within it. And, on top of that, Ga On telling her that she's wrong about him. And, for once, she can tell that he means it. It's not just him being stupid and self-critical — he's being honest when he tells her that he's not as good and perfect as she wants him to be. He can't be that. He's tried for years but the only thing that achieved was making him feel suffocated.

Which is definitely going to be difficult for her to hear. But it's also not one-sided — they will also have to deal with the fact that Ga On did the same to her, putting her on a pedestal and turning her into the end-all-be-all of his entire existence. And she wasn't equipped to handle that without putting too much pressure on herself. She gave up everything for Ga On at the detriment of her own happiness.

(And I guess one can question if Ga On isn't just replacing Yo Han with Soo Hyun in that regard, considering how much he fixates on Yo Han. But I'd argue that Mr. Abyss is much better at handling that kind of pressure because he has no shame whatsoever — if Ga On wants Yo Han to become the centre of his universe, he'll happily oblige. And while Yo Han will also wonder if he's good enough for Ga On, he wouldn't feel guilty about it the way Soo Hyun does. Yo Han is too honest. He'd try to be as good as he can be, sure, but also warn Ga On not to feel disappointed if Yo Han doesn't follow his expectations. And then it's up to Ga On to decide if he still wants to stay, as opposed to Soo Hyun who just kept trying to do better and kept giving more and more of herself, hoping to make up for her "shortcomings." This is one of the reasons why I think Yo Han is a more well-balanced partner for Ga On)

But I digress.

Soo Hyun's development would be put to the test when the time comes for her to say goodbye to Ga On. Again, not permanently, but by that point she must know why Ga On wants to go with Yo Han and Elijah rather than stay with Soo Hyun, and she has to let him. Whether or not she's fallen out of love with Ga On depends a little on how long the whole story takes, I'd say, but, regardless, it would be hard for her.

But I also think she'd do it — for Ga On's sake, if nothing else.

Because, hopefully, by then Soo Hyun would realise what I mentioned earlier, that they both need time away from each other to deal with all the new revelations. Not just in terms of their relationship, but also the state of their country. And while Ga On wants to deal with it by leaving and, hopefully, come back refreshed and try to make a difference, Soo Hyun would choose to stay and work through her feelings of guilt and helplessness one case at a time. She knows the system is corrupt but she can do better. She can still try to make a change, be it by helping one person at a time.

Because, deep down, both Soo Hyun and Ga On have such a strong desire to help people that I can't see Soo Hyun ever giving up on being a cop. She'd have to recalibrate and figure out how to go about things in a more constructive, productive way, but she'd get there, I think. If nothing else because she has her chief who used to work with Yo Han and, I mean, once Ga On comes back? And has Yo Han on speed dial?

They'll figure something out, I'm sure.

And while Soo Hyun might still be determined to stick to the law as often as possible, I think she, too, can eventually start bending it a little when necessary. Because in a dystopian world such as theirs, you can't really expect the law to work. Some rules must be broken.

Though murder would be a hard no, of course.

(Also, not going to lie, I'm cackling at the thought of all of them joining forces at the end like a mismatched little Scooby Gang. Imagine the possibilities. Soo Hyun and Yo Han would barely tolerate each other — because old habits die hard — but they'd try to work around it for Ga On's sake. Because Ga On is determined to save the world and neither of them can say no to him so what else can they do? They're stuck with each other.

And, eventually, they'll grow to respect each other and maybe even like each other a little but they would never admit it because they have a dynamic and an established jargon at that point and they're going to stick to it. There are traditions to uphold.

Ga On thinks they're idiots but lets them be, very pleased that they're finally getting along. Sort of.)

So yeah!

I think the focus of a story like this should be Soo Hyun. Especially since it would add a bit of mystery as she's trying to figure out why Ga On is so obsessed with Yo Han. Like, how long can she stay in denial, trying to write it off as loyalty to a former boss? And what will she do when she can no longer quiet that insistent voice telling her that Ga On's feelings for Yo Han might be deeper than she's allowed herself to believe?

Like, she can see the look on Ga On's face when he talks about Yo Han and she doesn't recognise it. And she's not sure if she wants to know what it means. But, eventually, it becomes too obvious for her to keep lying to herself. And then the next question arises: does Ga On realise that he's in love with Yo Han?

I think it would be fascinating to watch her try to navigate that.

Anyhow! I'm glad I can be of service! I tend to approach ideas in a very instinctive way, much like I do my writing. Very often, it just feels like I'm walking down an already paved path somehow, rather than building it as a I go (which is what it's like for some people, from what I gather). It's a little difficult to explain, but there's usually very little thinking required? I just... say what seems reasonable x'D
