And it's only... 51 days late. It's fine it's fine#Thanks to everybody in the dfpu chat who helped me come up with stuff to doodle for the border. It was a big help and a lot of fun!#we really did recreate what is going on in the drawing!#also thanks to snails muffin and terror for the animation pointers & terminology#Smear frames were def the way to go! Not whatever I was trying to do before asking for help#I guess this counts as my first *real* animation so hooray!#I *might* use some of the remaining prompts for future drawings but at this point I have other things I want to work on#even though I was only able to finish a few of these I felt like I still learned a lot#it definitely got me into the habit of drawing every day#and I'm still doing that so this event was a big win in my book!#and no joke I really did color pick from the load cursor just so I could do the silly spinning thing

#transformers#humanformers#decepticons#Starscream#skywarp#thundercracker#Soundwave#shockwave#wavewave#seekers#a lot of these are unfinished cause my iPad started overheating 😭#idk how actual pilot uniforms are supposed to look- tbh I just worked off one ref image + some from top gun#I don’t really want it the fits to look too similar to any existing uniforms cause I’m not trying to imply anything#anyway- thundercracker has honestly turned out to be my potential favorite??#I’m not sure yet cause I basically love all the main decepticons but fr it might be thundercracker#but it’s okay- I don’t HAVE to pick one fave I suppose#ughhh transformers has been such a nice change of pace from mk cause what is even going on over there??#I’m only excited for the t1000 and I’ve been DYING waiting for him to be playable#terminator 2 honestly in my top 10 movies and t1000 in top ten villains tbh#Robert Patrick did such a phenomenal job it just hasn’t been topped#but yeah wtf is even going on in mk?? like who the flying fuck asked for Conan??#but anyway I should probably actually draw either prime or tf one#I just love g1 so much plus the designs are literal squares it’s so much easier 😭#I’m also just attached to who whimsical it is? such simpler times#I think transformers tries to hard to be dark and brooding sometimes#which is my main criticism for how Optimus is in prime but that’s a whole nother conversation#I will say though prime did a good job of converting the dark bayverse designs#and making them fun an appealing to look at#doodle#my art

A little 15 min doodle but first post of the year has to be Bingqiu!
#ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely#I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024#and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough#I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED#I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making#and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful#and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love#so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here#and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was#it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept#that even if it’s not good enough for me#someone else may enjoy it#and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too#sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering#and grayscale and angles#and composition and expressions#ahh!! art is so fun!! Wei Wuxian should be able to get drunk for once. I think he'd either be singing bawdy drinking songs on the roof of the Jingshi or he'd be getting irrevocably lost no matter where he is. He's found in the bushes behind the mountains like a cryptid, and then he's like "I can't believe you all got lost" (extremely slurred) as if he didn't get embarrassed by something Lan Wangji had said and just somehow disappeared when everyone looked back at him
oh ABSOLUTELY im walking with u and nodding and agreeing, i can see him becoming an absolute menace to keep track of at his drunkest.
anyway heres wonderwall The Gang (Wangxian & their fave group of ducklings) in a city known for its STRONG wine and wuxian being like well. ur all grown now, youre technically not juniors anymore. we have to see whos lasting the longest against this stuff!, smash cut to a suspiciously wei ying-less group of the worlds drunkest cultivators being wrangled through the woods by designated driver hanguang-jun, with at least 2 of them clinging to his robes at all times.
