From the stuff I’ve seen right now (I kinda started SMG4 on Puzzle Vision and hopping around oops) the Western Spaghetti as got to be my favorite. Like holy crap idk how Meggy even wears that beanie after what One Shot Wren did. Feel like she’d have a lot of trauma after the events of that, I mean she literally died so many times in a month, plus the weeks she and everyone else was stuck in the simulation for, and all this being done by someone she idolizes? If it were me I would’ve thrown that beanie to the incinerator. But I saw so,done list that while she’d probably struggle with the beanie at the beginning, she would still wear it, but this time with a different purpose? Idk the person explained it better. But have some trauma filled Meggy cuz Lordy this poor girl. And that’s not even including the stuff that happens after with Mr. Puzzles and apparently some stuff way before (again I started off with the puzzle vision arc not knowing what I was getting into, I wish I could’ve watched it all in order but atm all the stuff I watched was the lawyer arc onwards so like- 2022 to current times)

Meggy would absolutely have a hard time coping. I feel like she’d wake up afraid she was still in the simulation and that she never made it out. Oh the angst how I love it. But seriously so far western spaghetti is my favorite from the content 2022 and up.

a/n: hi darlings! its been almost three weeks since my last update for my hee smau but honestly i have no creative juice atm to update so i'm releasing this one! i been reading and watching hp again so i wrote this one in a whim and i hope you enjoy this! love ya <3 !!!

Jake walked through his potions class. Professor Slughorn started to discuss how to create Amortentia, a potion that was said to be the most powerful love potion. You could also know the person to whom you are most attracted by taking a whiff.

One thing he did know was that he wished for this class to end. His quidditch team had been practicing for weeks for the upcoming match against Slytherin, and as captain, he exerted himself to the fullest. As his eyes tried to keep themselves awake, he told himself that a short nap sounded so much better than being in this class, and Potions is his favorite class, which tells something.

He finished making the potion, and now it's time to finally take a sniff of it. As he placed his nose near the potion, he got the scent of strawberry and vanilla. He hadn't processed the scent yet, but it smelled familiar, which greatly confused him. Professor Slughorn dismissed the class, and he walked to the library as he processed the scent he got from the potion.

He bumped into someone as he walked towards the library, and it was Yn. She had her hair in a braid, which he found very pretty. She apologized and quickly saw that it was Jake she bumped into. "Oh, it's you. Nice to see you, Jake. I apologize for bumping into you. Although it seems you're in a trance, how's the quidditch practice going?," she said. "Hi, it's going well. Thank you for asking," he said while scratching his neck. "Well, that's good to hear, but also don't forget to rest and take proper meals. You won't be at your full potential once the match comes," she said while waving goodbye to the captain.

This is when it hit him that the familiar scent was from his best friend, Yn. It was her favorite vanilla and strawberry perfume, which she had used since her first year. This newly found discovery led him to realize that he is utterly in love with her and doesn't know how to approach this situation. One thing is for sure, and that's he's fucked.

Jay noticed that Jake had been staring off into space rather than studying. He quickly snapped his fingers in front of Jake, which made the boy come back to his senses. "Something is up; you rarely stare off cause that's more of Sunghoon's thing," which earned the boy a smack in the arm from his other friend who was sitting beside Jay. "Jay is right, you've been like this after Potions class. What happened during that class?," Sunghoon said. "I just realized that I'm in love with Yn," he said to his best friends, who were looking at each other as if this revelation was nothing new. "Okay, tell us something that isn't obvious," Jay said. This left the boy surprised that his friends weren't shocked by his infatuation with the girl. "How come you know it? Am I that obvious?," he asked them. "It doesn't take a genius to know you are in love with her," Sunghoon said, while Jay continued, "The way your eyes lit up while talking to her or how jealous you get when a student tries to make any move toward her. Jake, we can read you like a book," he told the boy in front of him.

There is one fear that Jake had if he were to confess his feelings towards her, and that would be ruining the five years of friendship between them. He can't imagine how he will cope with losing a best friend like her over his feelings. He just can't risk losing her. He expressed this concern to the two boys in front of him: "I don't know if I want to hex you right now or not because I will lose my hair over how oblivious you are to her actions whenever you two are together. It's clear that she likes you back," Jay said while looking visibly defeated by his friend. "Also, it's only two years before we leave Hogwarts, so if I were you, confess now or hurt yourself by seeing her with another man," Sunghoon added as Jake ruffled his hair in frustration. He has decided that today will be the day that he confesses his true feelings.

At the same time, Yn went back to her common room to ease her mind. She had been studying all weekend for her Defense Against the Dark Arts test, which will make up half of her grade this semester. Her mind went back to the talk she had with her friend, Violet. It was about love, most specifically the person they fancied. It was clear to her that she liked Jake — for five years, to be exact.

This goes back to their first years, when they were boarding the train, and she didn't find any empty cabins except for one that already had a black-haired boy sitting in it. "May I sit here? Every cabin is full already," she asked as the boy nodded. The train ride was silent, but she was determined to make friends at her new school. She quickly learned his name was Jake, and he was half-blood. Going off the train, the first years were sorted, in which she was sorted in Ravenclaw while her new friend was sorted in Hufflepuff. Despite being in different houses, their friendship only grew stronger as the years passed. It then hit her that she was in love with the smart, funny, and kind Hufflepuff boy whom she met on the train.

Her owl flew into the room as she dropped a letter with a seal that had "JK" on it. It was from Jake, and he had written her a letter to meet him at Hogsmeade as he wanted to talk to her. She quickly got changed and headed towards the meet-up place with a nervous heart.

Jake was 5 minutes earlier than Yn, and the air felt different the moment he saw her. She was so beautiful that he could get lost in her eyes. "Jake, what is the thing you wanted to talk about?," she said, which broke his trance. "Oh, about that. I want to tell you something." As he spoke while trying to avoid eye contact with her. She felt nervous as she waited for the words that would come out of his mouth; he had never asked her to talk with him alone. If she learns that her best friend is utterly in love with someone, she would rather turn into a water droplet than hear that come out of his mouth. "The thing is, I like you. No, that's not it. I'm utterly in love with you, Yn. I've wanted to tell you about this but I wasn't too sure with my feelings, but Jay and Sunghoon pushed me to tell you my true feelings before it will eat me alive," he spoke while finally looking at her directly.

She was left speechless. The boy with whom she is in love just confessed to her. Many things are running through her mind now that she hasn't spoken to the boy for 3 minutes straight. He started to feel that confessing his feelings wasn't the right choice, and now he will lose his best friend. "I will go now. I don't need to know what your answer is cause it's obvious by your reaction," he said as he stood up. But he was quickly pulled by her, and she kissed him, after which he kissed her back. The kiss was full of love, and Jake was the first to pull away. He looked at her flushed face as she tried to look at him. "You didn't gave me a chance to reply. I was speechless, you idiot. To answer you back, I like you too. No, I'm in love with you and have always been. I love you, Jake," she said while lovingly caressing his cheeks. He connected their foreheads as the biggest grin appeared in his face.

Jake came back to the dorm smiling from ear to ear, which made Sunghoon ask him about what happened between them. "She likes me back. The girl I love, loves me back. She will also cheer for me during our match against Slytherin," he said as he rambles about you, which earned an annoyed face from Sunghoon, but deep down, he is happy that Jake is happy and with the woman he loves. Unbeknownst to Jake, she was also gushing towards Violet about everything that went down in Hogsmeade. This is the happiest day for the both of them.

2 WEEKS LATER. THE DAY OF THE QUIDDITCH MATCH.

Jake was nervous, but it all dissolved when he saw his girlfriend in the Ravenclaw stands. This was his year as captain, so he felt a great responsibility to win the house cup for their team. As the team went to their places, Madam Hooch gave a blast from her whistle. Soon after, the brooms went off in different directions. The Slytherin team scored the first point as their chaser, Heeseung, shot a fast ball. The game was intense, as the teams scores were 90 to 80, with Hufflepuff leading by 10 points. It was Jake's turn to catch the golden snitch, which would grant them the house cup. As the Slytherin's seeker was approaching the snitch, he quickly passed through him and caught the snitch. Loud cheers from the Hufflepuff stands erupted as Madam Hooch announced the Hufflepuff team's victory.

As he looked through the stands, he saw Yn with the widest smile on her face. He quickly made his way towards her and went down to her stand. "Congratulations, My Captain; I'm proud of you," she said as she gave him a kiss in front of everyone. The Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students cheered loudly as you two shared an intimate moment. "I would not have done it without my lucky charm, aka you," he said while hugging her tightly by the waist.

As they returned to the hall, he stopped in his tracks and made her face him as she tried to read his expression. "You wanna know what I smelled when we made the Amortentia?," he finally spoke as he continued, "I smell your vanilla and strawberry perfume, which you've been using since our first year," as she smiled while looking at him. She held his face and smothered it with kisses.

"I love you, My Captain," she said while looking at him. She quietly sneaked him to the Ravenclaw's common room, where she quickly pulled him towards her room. They lay down on her bed, and he snaked his arms around her waist while nuzzling into her neck, which smells like her perfume. The two dozed off into dreamland while holding each other. The captain with his lucky charm.

❧ deffo in the popular crowd, the one with the preppy boys and girls who are also all involved in a sport, throughout all four years of high school

❧ he gave off the vibes that he would be kinda stuck up and would laugh at you behind your back, but he was actually one of the nice ones, albeit just a tad bit insensitive

❧ played a sport, maybe something like lacrosse or basketball, and was the captain of his team in his last year of high school. he'd also been on the team since he was a freshman, spiking his popularity immensely

❧ his favorite class was probably chemistry, because of the experiments, or gym, because it was easy

❧ his language arts teacher loathed him because he just could not understand any of the books they assigned. he would always take things too literally or say "it's not that deep, bro" to the teacher's face lmao

❧ he and his friends would sit to the side of the class, never up front but not quite in the very back, and this mf would always be making some kind of noise, either tapping his pencil or running his mouth-- at least he was kinda funny

❧ he was on grade level for most of his classes, except for being in honors sciences beginning his second year. he managed to graduate with a 3.1 gpa!!

❧ went to all the dances and formals, and he won prom king his senior year, although the girl he went with wasn't even nominated for prom queen awkward

❧ he honestly had one of the biggest glow ups, but like personality wise. when he was a freshman he was obnoxious and running through the halls and bothering people with rude jokes, but then he got diagnosed with adhd, got meds, and learned a bunch of coping strategies that calmed him down and made him a better student and friend

❧ picked on levy in the halls every chance he took, and if it weren't for the teachers, he would've picked on him some more in the classes they shared. he would've done the same with mefy, but his youngest brother always seemed to evade him somehow

❧ had a petty rivalry with mikael, and was pretty good friends with ricardo in that they always got into shenanigans together

Levy

❧ straight-a student and valedictorian the year he graduated :,) you bet your ass lucia was cheering so loud for him during his speech

❧ volunteered in the school library all four years, but especially so in his senior year when he had a bunch of free periods. anytime he had free time or it was study hall, he'd go to the library

❧ valued comfort in terms of his outfits but he also wanted to look put together, so he'd always be in a sweater or nice shirt with dark jeans or casual dress pants

❧ had a small group of friends that consisted of people he'd have multiple classes with or was in clubs with, but he also spent a decent amount of time with mefy and kaim

❧ speaking of clubs, he was in the book club all four years of high school as well as participating in the debate club. he was also in several honors societies and acted as a peer tutor, and you bet he was decorated as hell during graduation

❧ wanted so bad for his school to have an equestrian team, which they didn't because what kind of school has that, so he joined a local team instead, which got a few snobby popular kids to tease him for being "a horse girl"

❧ he liked all of his classes, although is favorites were history and english; his least favorite was gym, hands down. he would always be doing the bare minimum and coming up with excuses to get out of the more intense sports

❧ didn't go to any of the typical high school events like dances or games because he thought he was above all that, but he was really just too anxious

❧ he played an instrument in his first year of high school, something he carried over from middle school, but he just got too busy for it and it was no longer a priority. he either played viola or some shit like the oboe

❧ his teachers at the start of every year would see his last name and get filled with dread like "oh no not another one" but they then visibly relaxed when they realized he wasn't anything like lucia

❧ was in a lot of above grade level classes, which eventually led him to be in the same class as lucia a few times. levy thought it was so embarrassing and tried to sit as far away from lucia and his friends as possible. lucia has tried to get levy to do his homework before lol

Mefy

❧ he was an enigma to like ninety five percent of the school; he barely associated with anyone, always stuck to himself, wouldn't linger in one place for very long, and no one could find him during free time

❧ this unfortunately led him to be labeled as the "school shooter kid," which never bothered him but his brothers would be livid at hearing anyone call their baby brother that awful thing

❧ he had like two close friends and spent a lot of time with levy, and he was also close with the psychology/sociology teacher, whom he would eat lunch with every day for his last two years of high school. he liked that they never seemed to mind his deep, somewhat worrying questions about life and the human psyche

❧ his first year he stuck with levy in the cafeteria for lunch, then his second year he'd steal lucia's student id to eat outside in the senior courtyard

❧ he was a brilliant student, but he hardly ever participated in class and didn't put in more effort than he needed to which lowkey brought his grades lower than they could have been. his phych/soc teacher was the only one who noticed this and talked to him about it, which earned them his respect

❧ his favorite classes were psychology, sociology, and computer science, in that order. he was okay with the other classes, but refused to take any that would draw attention to himself, like theater or music

❧ he faked a doctors note that got him out of gym and levy was so salty about it. so all he ended up doing for that semester was walking laps lmao

❧ he joined the debate club with levy, but solely for the purpose of arguing with people and being able to get under their skin and gaslight them without serious repercussion. the advisor for the club knew what was up but genuinely did not care enough to stop him

❧ for his foreign language credit, he probably took something less popular like german or latin, and he'll just be saying shit in that language to lucia while levy snickers in the background

❧ he came up with the senior prank for his class and everyone loved it and immediately had a change of heart for him like, "man maybe this kid wasn't so bad." the prank ended up being a little too much for the principal, who demanded to know whose idea it was, but nobody snitched

❧ ...which made him feel just a little bit bad for hacking the school's grade system and changing everyone's grades to a d it got fixed don't worry

Oswald

❧ the american football coach tried so hard to get him on the team, but oswald didn't trust himself to go through with it because of his anger issues. he also didn't know if he could keep his grades up enough to stay on the team

❧ also kind of a loner, but in that he didn't really have anyone who he was close with at all. he hung out with noel the most, and lucia and kaim every so often, but for the most part he walked the halls alone

❧ he was a part time babysitter all four years of high school, and all four years he worked for kurt's family, and he brought that kid to watch every football game the school had

❧ he was a below average student, graduated with a 2.8 and had to retake algebra 1 his freshman year. he had to get a tutor for pretty much every general subject, especially for language arts his handwriting and essay skills are atrocious

❧ the one subject he never had to get help in though was science. earth and space, biology, chemistry, somehow even physics he always excelled in. physics was a bit of a struggle for him because of how much math is in it, but at the time kurt really wanted to be an astronaut and oswald was willing to learn physics to help him achieve that goal

❧ by the time oswald graduated, kurt no longer wanted to be an astronaut :,) rip

❧ he found out about the votech program and enrolled his junior year. he joined the agriculture one and fell in love with it, setting up an easy career path for him to go on as soon as he graduated

❧ he joined the environmental club starting his second year and managed to convince the principal to start a student garden! oswald spent pretty much all of his free time taking care of the garden, making sure it was watered and weeded

❧ he was so close to being able to join the science national honors society, but his gpa was just under the minimum requirement :(

❧ which meant that he didn't have any chords or anything during graduation which is nothing to be ashamed of, but he was kinda hard on himself about the snhs thing, so little eight year old kurt made him an honor chord by messily finger crocheting a row of chain stitches out of neon green yarn :,)

❧ he wore it with pride and anyone who'd ask about it would swoon at the answer, "my kid brother made it for me"

❧ he was low-key a heart throb in his school, but solely for his tall, dark, and handsome appearance. anyone who tried to ask him out or confess immediately found out that he's kinda clueless and not at all the bad boy they thought he was lmao

Kaim

❧ he was absolutely that mf who wore a suit to school every day. he'd go "casual" on friday by wearing a cashmere sweater and some dress pants

❧ his mom is friends with the brothers' mom, so he was close with all of them growing up but more so because his mom told him to "look out for them," knowing he was the only one out of all of them who had any real sense

❧ he was lowkey the therapist friend but on a more crisis intervention scale than a "do u need to vent" scale. he called lucia out several times for his shenanigans, kept mefy from becoming a bully, and talked oswald down from a lot of near spirals

❧ his favorite class was consistently language arts and he could write one persuasive ass essay, which helped him a lot in history, too. his least favorite class he had to take was computer science; no matter what he did, he just could not get his code to work and it nearly cost him his flawless gpa lmao

❧ speaking of gpa, he maintained honor roll throughout the entirety of high school, and graduated with a 4.0. he was above grade level in all his classes but refused to take ap classes, claiming they were a waste of time and money they are

❧ he favored his electives a lot more than his general classes. he low-key thrived in home economics, and the teacher convinced him to take the culinary class starting his junior year and got him enrolled in the field experience for culinary arts in his senior year

❧ he absolutely was an orchestra kid and had been playing the cello since fourth grade, earning him first chair by the time he was a junior. he also played the piano and helped out with school musicals and talent shows by playing the piano for songs if it required live music

❧ he earned a decent amount of chords for graduation: honors society for language arts, culinary club, orchestra, honor roll. he now uses them to tie his curtains back lmao

❧ everyone low-key dreaded being partnered up with him for projects, only because he's such a perfectionist and would make damn sure everyone did their part of the project and did it correctly

❧ absolute teacher's pet though, all of them loved how diligent and intelligent he was, making him the high school version of a teacher's assistant

❧ my school didn't have this, but he would absolutely have been hall monitor. he was, however, almost elected student body president despite not running, his class just nominated him lol

❧ much to his dismay, he was elected vice president of the student body and was put in charge of organizing student events. planning prom almost gave him grey hairs at the ripe age of seventeen

❧ he didn't really fit in with a particular crowd, so i guess you could call him a wallflower in that sense? he was kinda a loner, but didn't give off the typical "loner" vibes

❧ very quiet, always got his work done on time, and always did his work exceptionally well, which made him a straight-a student as well

❧ he very well could have been the top of his class, but his lack of participation in class discussions and such knocked his grades down slightly. he always preferred to work alone, hated presentations, and never elaborated his verbal responses

❧ the one exception to him working alone was if noel was in his class; he knew that noel would be reliable and would just want to get the assignment over, and he wouldn't talk his ear off

❧ some of his teachers understood that he just wasn't comfortable and made an exception or didn't deduct points because they saw how eloquent his written responses were, but there's always those few teachers that just don't care lol

❧ he graduated with a 3.9 unweighted gpa, and he took several honors and even a few ap classes on top of being in science national honors society and national art honor society twin; he's a smart cookie

❧ his favorite classes were astronomy and art, he loathed gym and, despite him being good at math, he just could not understand geometry. he chose latin as his world language, although i could also see him taking greek if his school offered it

❧ he took ap psychology and ap world history, amongst a few others, and the exams annihilated him; he would have been elated to get a 3, but was beyond shocked when he saw he got a 4 on all of them

❧ his immense knowledge about the christian religion and the bible impressed the school's christian athlete leader did y'all's school have one of those?? and she tried to recruit him thinking he'd be perfect for the group, but he looked at her with the most perplexed look ever and responded, "i'm neither christian nor an athlete, why are you asking me this??"

❧ she got super embarrassed and refused to look at him when he took her sat prep class the next semester lmao

❧ he ate his lunch consistently in the atrium for the first three years of high school, and then in the senior courtyard next to the little fountain his last year, always alone though

❧ he was in choir for the first year of high school, something he'd done since elementary school, but he quit after seeing how petty everyone was to each other

❧ he'd hated lucia since he met him in the third grade, and on graduation day, mikael told lucia that he was genuinely surprised to see him graduate lmao

Ricardo

❧ definitely a student athlete, his first year was spent in basketball and his last three years were in american football, and he definitely got benched a few times

❧ he actually almost got kicked off the team in his sophomore year for bringing a fucking knife to school-- at least he was smart enough to not bring his gun

❧ he's a decently smart guy, but he just didn't put in the effort for his classes-- he did just enough to stay on his team. he was practically on a first name basis with his guidance counselor from how many visits they'd have between his grades and since the knife incident

❧ that being said, his grades never saw above a 3.0, in fact he averaged about a 2.6 all of high school. he also didn't bother to take the sat because he genuinely didn't think he'd go to college until the last semester of his senior year when he got a surprise scholarship for his athleticism

❧ his favorite class was gym, he always made sure to take a physical education class once a year. he also secretly really enjoyed the home economics class he put off until his last semester of senior year. the teacher was this older lady, and they grew pretty close and he'd even eat lunch with her, spending his free period and study hall in her classroom under the excuse that he needed more help on a certain topic. he gave her his jersey at the end of the year and she made sure to get a photo with him on graduation day :,)

❧ definitely infamous in his school for being a massive flirt and has definitely hooked up with several cheerleaders. it's funny cuz he always scoffed at what you learn in health class about sti's and safe sex, until he caught mono from someone in the theater class lmao

❧ i'm sorry but he was low-key very disrespectful to his teachers, at least for the first half of high school. like he'd roll his eyes at them, leave a mess, be on his phone all of class

❧ he was also a pain to be partnered up with for a project; if you got stuck with him, you bet your ass you'd be doing all the work. anything he said he'd do would be half assed, and you better hope you had a teacher who didn't grade collectively

❧ the academic classes he'd pay the most attention to were history and government, especially in terms of war periods and diplomacy. he lowkey loved playing devil's advocate in these classes which pissed off everyone else lmao

❧ his freshman year he was definitely the kid who wore those god awful graffiti-style backpacks with a speaker inside them, blasting the worst trash rap you ever heard

❧ another thing that almost got him kicked off the team, he got caught bullying a freshman in his junior year. he had to have a meeting with the kid's parents and apologize formally to the kid, and he got a semester's worth of detention and suspended from his sport for a month

❧ he shaped up a lot after that, and he ended up becoming one of the team's star players, definitely not the mvp or the captain, but he was valued for being a machine on the field, pure manpower and determination

❧ was pretty close friends with lucia, and although they drifted apart in their junior year a bit, they got close again come senior year and talked about going to the same college together after ricardo found out about his scholarship

❧ brought an air horn to the graduation ceremony and almost didn't get to walk the stage lmao

Noel

❧ won the superlative for being the quietest in his class lol; it got to the point where his teachers wouldn't cold call him for discussions knowing they'd get one word responses that wouldn't contribute anything at all

❧ he was always seen alone, or with either mikael or oswald, never anyone else. with mikael, they'd just eat together every once in a while, or they'd work on a project together. with oswald, they were just the oddest duo to see: a behemoth of a man and a small guy with a killer resting bitch face

❧ he really enjoyed biology as a class and elected to take anatomy, but promptly dropped it when he learned what they'd be dissecting. instead, he switched to forensic science and had a little too much fun making his crime scene diorama

❧ this poor kid could barely make it through his math classes. he had to be tutored in math all through high school and oswald became his study buddy aw

❧ the same thing applied with his language arts class: he just kept falling behind, his written grammar skills were awful, as was his handwriting. between this and the fact that he hardly spoke, his teacher just assumed that he didn't speak the school's primary language and had the bright idea of putting him in an "x for speakers of other languages" class lmaoo

❧ he was evaluated and it turned out that he, in fact, could understand the primary language, he's just very silent and is bad at grammar. so, he was moved again to a lower language arts class

❧ he didn't particularly hate any of his classes, he just knew he had to suck it up and do them. he'd try his hardest, sure, but sometimes he'd just do the minimum effort required if he really wasn't feeling it

Listen- I’ve said it before but Con!Cala has the unintentional rizz- she doesn’t mean to flirt but it happens because she doesn’t realize what she’s saying or implying sometimes. But that being said it goes OVER her head a lot when people flirt to her.

And Cala would just show him a lot of things and everything, similar to like how she does to Dream in the con au— and in a way he would have this moment of realizing that she’s just like him if things were different, and I think that’s why he’s latching onto her so much. He would have his moment of “I shouldn’t let her and Dream stay together too long because what if he destroys this one innocent thing”- like his skewed perception of the two would be really interesting.

Now for the prison man himself, Dream— At first in the con au he’s very wary of Cala but he realizes so fast that she’s not a threat and probably the most helpful person he’s had in a while. So he really doesn’t leave her side much or at all. I feel like that habit would stay a lot unintentionally. So if they’re ever apart and he’s not with his friends or Techno he gets on edge since he’s just “where is Cala-“ since she’s very small and can get lost easily and because that’s a safe person now. He just curls around her like a cat a lot of times honestly— and he does not like when Quackity and Sam try to get close to her for obvious reasons. Everyone else is mostly fine, but he’s just very wary on it. He knows that look in Sam’s eye since he’s seen that look when he looks at him- and Quackity well, he would fucking slaughter him if there is even a scratch on her. He doesn’t stop her from interacting with them but the second they try something he steps in to steer the conversation. It’s the thing of “if she wasn’t in the way I would kill you both for good-“

What’s your favorite fiction or fanfic genre to write/draw/imagine your self ship in? What fictional trope does your ship fall into?

I love writing fluff/romance genre and some of the ficlets I have up for him are a teensy bit self-ship coded. I knew his myth & lore was going to hurt me deeply so I simply wanted to give him all the love he never received. As for fictional trope—Syel falls under strangers to lovers with a hint of slow burn (also turned exes back to lovers, but very briefly early on!! I may or may not have something for this in the drafts… heh).

Has anything you’ve seen in other media or headcanons inspired aspects of your ship?

A while back when I was more active in the JJK fandom, I wrote a little bit about civilian!reader x sorcerer!gojo on another blog and when deciding what kind of AU I wanted for Syel—I liked that concept the most for us. Where he’s still Onychinus leader and I’m a normal civilian and how our two different worlds would mix and mingle.

What is something Sylus says/does/wears that makes you flustered? and vice versa :3

(Suggestive warning‼️) Sylus loves seeing me in nightgowns, and he makes sure I know it through his wandering gaze, his hand reaching out to me and pulling me down onto his lap, and even coping a feel through the smooth silk fabric while he asserts if I came to him looking to make trouble. He gets intrigued by the fact I’m not wearing panties with my nightgown. Adding on that I must have planned for this, haven’t I?

As for me, he gets me feeling so shy when he has me tell him exactly what my desires are when it’s already implied. He knows what I need from him but he wants to hear me say it and use my words. He can’t help teasing me even if that means I’ll get a little bratty with him (which was his intention anyway).

When did you realize you were in love with Sylus? and vise-versa :3

I realized that I was in love with Sylus when I caught myself staring at him and couldn't help smiling to myself because he seemed to grasp at every opportunity to express his devotion to me. And this probably hit me when he was cleaning and bandaging a small cut on my finger since I’m accident-prone. I recall our time together and he paid attention to the things that were important to me, made me feel so safe that I felt comfortable coming to him for anything and nothing would seem silly to him. And he always left no room for doubts in everything that he did for me.

Sylus realized that he was in love with me the first night I spent at his place. With me sleeping soundly beside him, something shifts within him like I was what’s been missing from his life this entire time. He’s warmed by the thought that I’m just within a hand's reach from him, that I trusted him enough to be in my most vulnerable state, and he feels a rising affection toward me leading him to gently trace his fingers along my back and press his lips against my head. From that moment onwards, he decided that he didn’t want a future without me in it.

How do both of you keep the spark in your relationship going?

We never take each other for granted and always make sure to show our appreciation. The playfulness and attraction are never lost because we like to tease and flirt with each other tons even in the comfort of our own home—keeping it fun, finding every excuse to be close, coming together for all kinds of kisses wherever we are.

How do you comfort each other in times of sadness or anguish? How do you heal each other?

By being there for each other and holding each other in our arms. Sometimes no words are exchanged, like an unspoken understanding that we know something is wrong but not quite ready to talk about it yet. So we comfort one another the best we can, seeking the other’s warmth and familiar touch and usually that alone is enough to lift the sorrows or anguish. And shortly after, we quietly talk about what brought on such turmoil because we don’t make it a habit to keep anything from each other.

Who is the more vulnerable of the two? Who is the more closed-off one? How did you gain each other’s trust?

Sylus is the more vulnerable one in the sense when we first started dating I had no idea he was Onychinus leader and what that means. He has yet to tell me about it and typically dances around half-truths about his life when we're still getting to know each other better. But he was planning on telling me, he was just afraid of how I’d respond so he held it off as long as possible. I eventually found out one way or another, and I suppose I knew he was too good to be true so that resulted in me becoming closed-off and even ending things with him. But of course, he eventually wins me back and he promises to tell me everything that I wish to know about him and the organizations, even his past deeds.

How would your baby showers look like? (Or a gender reveal party?)

We have private gender reveals, and we usually have a beautiful cake and the selected color in the center of the layers to slice into. Our first one took place outdoors since it was such a lovely day so I thought a picnic under the gazebo would’ve been perfect for the occasion—and it was when we saw crumbs of pink.

What would your children look like? And how many would there be? What are their names?

Names are so difficult to come up with I can’t come up with ones that’d feel suitable at the moment but I shall revisit this question once I do!! I think me and Sylus would have three children, four at most—a daughter with his color palette, a son with my color palette, and another daughter who’s the perfect blend of us. Perhaps the fourth one could be a carbon copy of him.

What were you and Sylus for Halloween this year? And what did you both celebrate it?

I dressed up as cupid and Sylus was my target with red arrows, hearts and kiss marks decorated all over him. We spent Halloween passing out candies at one of our homes outside the N109 zone where it’s much safer for little trick-or-treaters to go around the streets.

With his obnoxious flirting towards Amahiko, and him trying to 'ship' the rest of the charismas he gets yelled at a lot (reasonably so bc what is this man's problem!1!1!1) for acting like a weirdo. I need to put them in a locked room with security cameras together and watch what happens..

Éloise: Her dislike of Mozus is mainly something that rubbed off on her from Divus, but it'd still definitely be there without him around. She considers him a pain to talk to for long and feels as though he's a strict, boring old guy. If she had to choose, she much prefers standing off to the side giggling as she watches Divus and him bicker.

✨ ; What are some of your S/Is favorite things, aside from your F/O?

Dmitrie: He eats UP badly written romance, could live off of a steady supply of YA fiction instead of food for about a month or two. He also has a bit of a sweet tooth, and enjoys cherry and strawberry flavored things. His favorite color is red, the color of love, but he's also a fan of pink and white, since they're other colors commonly associated with love. He also loves stuff with tacky heart motifs. Valentine's Day and the days leading up to it are like the "Objective: Survive" time of the year for his wallet.

Éloise: She loooves things with berries, especially blueberries! I imagine she always has some blueberry tea in her house because it's her favorite kind, and indulges on blueberry tarts once in a while when she needs to satisfy her sweet tooth. In terms of music, she likes classier stuff, usually listening to orchestral music while she works or relaxes. She wears a lot of green and works with nature, so me saying she likes it isn't anything special, but she also has a fondness for orange and I think she'd really like amber jewelry :] Anddd finally, one of her favorite flowers is a sunflower 🌻! I'd have to google a bunch of flowers to accurately list off what she likes since she probably knows ten times more types off hand than I do but those I do know about. So yay!

📚 ; Do you think any of your S/Is from different media would get along well?

Ohh absolutely!! Martha being the gothic girl she is would looove being around Rina, and be so curious about her whole.. haunted doll thing. I think Rina and Odette could also be doll friends and bond over doll things. Jarek and Dmitrie would at least get along decently because I think they'd be able to bond over The Longing™ together, but this is assuming Dmitrie doesn't start being really weird. As all the crsm characters are known to be. But even then I think Jarek wouldn't mind much like c'mon he's in love with King Yaoi III who knows maybe being Like That is just how Dmitrie copes with being in love with whoever this Amahiko guy is 🤷 Dorenia is a friendly fella so he'd generally be pretty ok with most of my other S/Is I think. Aven and them feel like they'd get along well but I think that's because they're some of the most Nikolai-truthful characters in terms of personality so I think that's just them being similar people,, Interesting question hehe this was really funny to think about!

What' your favorite thing about writing? What's your favorite part in your creative process?

Oh :oc writing questions are so fun but I always fumble so badly with them.

I've been writing since I was a kid, honestly. Writing has always been an everchanging thing for me, but I what has stuck the most has been a twist of wanting to have this creative expression and also hoping it resonates with someone else.

To be clear, not writing for it to Only resonate with a stranger, but writing for myself as a way to vent out emotions, have fun, or help me cope with smth personal. It resonating and helping someone else (for the emotional stuff), is a nice bonus that makes me happy.

I think my favorite part is actually liking my writing again, and being proud of finally getting the visuals in my head into a written format since I don't have another way to express them. It makes me happy to be creative in general honestly! Finding tips that help me and other writers, reading published books to analyze how they went about doing this and that, all of that is very fun to me.

I missed the point again but thats the best I can answer atm! Ahahaha

hey, your fics on ao3 are actually saving my life rn. i’m not doing amazingly atm and reading your “breathe again” and “home to you” fics about tommy struggling with mental health (admittedly in a slightly different way to me) is somehow making it all so much easier to cope with.

i’m so in love with the dynamic of alfie being completely head over heels for tommy, despite tommy feeling utterly broken and despising everything about himself - it really does give me hope that perhaps i’m not entirely hopeless and unlovable either, even if sometimes i’m about as mentally stable as tommy is.

but yeah, idk - i don’t think any of that made a lot of sense, but i just wanted you to know what a positive impact your writing has had upon me.

Firstly: This was an absolutely wonderful message to receive, and made my whole week. Secondly: this reply is long so my apologies in advance! 

You make complete sense. And, not to get way to personal here, but I think it’s a very human and common feeling to be afraid that we’re unlovable when we’re at our lowest points and probably need it the most ❤️ One of the reasons I write is because it’s an escape and a comfort (and well, a huge struggle, but in the end the positives outweigh the negatives). And knowing someone else finds that through reading my fics is the biggest compliment I could ever receive, and reminds me why I do always slog through the more challenging parts of writing to finish things and put them out there for people to read.

Thank you for your kind words ❤️ I suppose I feel that my characterization isn’t spot on, but I’ve aimed for one that feels ’true’ within the setting and circumstances of the story, if that makes sense, and I’m so happy you like it. I’m wholly unable to cope with this incredible praise, but at least I can answer your question: I don’t have any formal education in creative writing. But I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing -though I mostly read in my native language (Swedish), I do try to define what I enjoy about my favorite writers’ works, and while I’m not skilled enough to always put that knowledge to use, I’d like to think that it’s helped me in some ways. As for how long it took me to learn how to write (though I definitely feel like I’m fumbling around in the dark from time to time and like I’ve learned nothing) I wrote and posted my first fanfic in English when I was 17 (a true blood fanfic I haven’t re-read since, and probably wouldn’t like to), wrote some more stuff that I never posted, and then began writing PB fic… six years ago or something? I’m 29 now, so I suppose you could say that I’ve got a few years of writing under my belt now. But I’d say that I’ve improved the most over those last PB years, simply because I’ve written so much over that period of time. And the more I write, the more critical my eye has become. And I still feel like I’m learning more every time I sit down to write. 

And I fully believe anyone can learn to write, especially in a setting like fanfic, because I’ve always felt it’s a very encouraging and ’free’ environment. At least that’s been the case in the corner I’ve been in. There’s always someone out there who’ll enjoy what you put out there. And I know it’s cliché, but the key really is to just keep at it, so a huge dose of enthusiasm and self indulgence is important. I’ve got heaps of stuff that I’ve written and never posted, just because I’ve had an idea I wanted to explore. And I’ve made my peace with the fact that I’ll never be quite as skilled at writing in English as in Swedish, and won’t always find the perfect words, because as long as I write something that excites me in some way, I know there’ll be at least one other person out there who’ll enjoy it too. I try to just make it as good as I can with the tools I’ve got.

what does your muse smell like ? above all else Daisuke smells like an expensive cologne any normal person would pass out at the price of that has a woody scent with notes of exotic flora. it's pleasant on the nose and blends nicely with the high grade tobacco from his imported cigars and and the scent of leather from his bespoke accessories.

what do your muse’s hands feel like ? not as soft as one would expect from a blue blood who isn't often seen getting his hands dirty. years of boxing despite the great care he's put into his hands has left them rougher than he'd like and the burn scar covering a great deal of his right palm still feels tight and hard as it's only recently healed.

what does your muse usually eat in a day ? his breakfast for the most part is always determined by Suzue or his private chef and varies with whatever fresh ingredients are available. lunch can also be quite varied as during lunch he is often at work or out in the field with his partner who isn't inclined to want to visit a fancy restaurant and has tainted Daisuke's diet with konbini staples such as cheap sandos, instant ramen, and onigiri. dinner is when he'd prefer to lean into his expensive taste and make reservations at a high class restaurant, but if his partner invites him over or he feels inclined to show up on the man's doorstep, Haru's home-cooked dinner is his favorite every time.

does your muse have a good singing voice ? yes. along with his classical training in piano he had growing up he always enjoyed singing with his mother and has a lovely, deep voice.

does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks ? smoking and drinking. the smoking is self-explanatory as he always keeps cigars on his person and used to partake in other recreational substances but he did develop a drinking problem and turns to alcohol to cope with his turbulent emotions and trauma.

what does your muse usually look like/wear ? Daisuke will almost always be seen in dark, bespoke suits from designers only the ultra wealthy would recognize. none of those tacky luxury brands with names splashed all over their product that the average millionaire finds attractive, he's always put together in tailored outfits perfectly suited to his frame that compliment his handsome appearance. He also will always have his hair slicked back neatly when he's out with a bit of subtle makeup to highlight his baby blue eyes and hide any imperfections on his face as he is rather shallow and cares a lot about his appearance.

is your muse affectionate ?  how so ? nope, at least not toward just anyone. Daisuke is man who has always kept himself at a distance from others both physically and emotionally outside of a fling here and there. The only people who will ever experience his affection in any way, shape, or form will be Suzue and Haru but even with the former he still keeps a polite distance.

what position does your muse sleep in ? most of the time he sleeps in a fetal position, curled up under his covers to shut out the world as he only really sleeps once he's crashing after unhealthily long hours awake. nightmares and negative thoughts have plagued his sleep for twenty years and he's always found himself restless at night.

could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room ? nope. Daisuke isn't one to raise his voice much, most often speaking in a cool, calm demeanor. it's only if he really gets riled up you may be able to hear him shouting from another room but you're more likely in those instances to hear the yell of pain from whoever pissed him off because he's not shy about throwing a punch if he feels it's deserved.

due to questionable parenting decisions on my mother’s part, i started watching the x-files in 1998 when i was approximately five years old. consequently, i quite literally grew up with the show, and sort of absorbed it into my soul so that it became an integral part of my personality and general sense of self. so it’s fairly meaningful to me, lol. it’s never felt like “just a tv show” to me, if that makes sense. it’s cornball af to say, but when i watch it, i get a sense of calm, like i’m coming home

that said, since i was a fucking baby when i started watching, and the only person i knew who also watched it was my mom, i didn’t really have a fandom experience. it’s only now, with the pogang, that i have finally felt like i am a part of the x-files community 🥺

x-files has been there for me through some incredibly difficult times, and this year has been very hard. so hard, in fact, that i purposefully triggered a hyperfixation. i was unbearably overwhelmed with life, and i literally thought to myself “if i start an x-files rewatch rn, i know i will become insane about it and it will distract me from the Everything™️,” which like, is that the healthiest choice in the world? mb not, but it led to me finding x-files friends for the first time in over 25 years, and that’s invaluable to me. so in terms of unhealthy coping mechanisms, i am giving myself a pass on this one

so i’m all about simping mulder. to be clear, not me simping over mulder, but mulder simping over scully. from the jump, i have always been obsessed with mulder’s love for scully, and how batshit insane he is about it. the feminist in me is ashamed, bc i have always loved the episodes where scully gets kidnapped or injured (and there are A LOT of those), bc it meant mulder would lose his gd mind. fwiw, it’s mulder’s suffering i like here, not scully’s. (that probably doesn’t rly help my case, huh? oh well.) i love mulder worrying about her, searching for her, becoming unhinged about her. i love it when he’s jealous. i love it when he looks at her like she’s the most beautiful, precious thing in the universe. basically i want my mulder to be a sopping wet pathetic puppy attached to dana scully’s hip and entranced by her magic thrall. i want him to feel both eternally blessed and completely baffled by the fact that she loves him back. i’m pretty gay for gillian anderson/scully, and as i’m typing this i wonder how much of this is projection. let’s… not examine that

in terms of other favorites (oh my god why am i still talking??) you have to remember that i was a literal child when i developed my opinions about the show, so some of them are… bad, lol. (for example: i think “first person shooter” is a good episode, sue me. imagine how fucking cool it was as a little seven year old to see scully kick mulder’s ass at video games). consequently, “milagro” is my favorite episode 💀. i also really love “all things” 💀. i have good taste, too, tho. other faves are “detour,” “never again,” “memento mori,” “redux ii,” “irresistible,” “jose chung,” “clyde bruckman,” “triangle,” etc. given my mulder confession above, cancer arc is obviously what i assume they would put on loop for me in heaven. for no discernible reason, i have always had alex krycek as a favorite character, which baffled my mother a lot when i was little. the lone gunmen are also choice as hell. but at the end of the day, it always comes down to my favorite two agents. they’re the heart of the show, and the heart of my heart, or something ❤️

3. Tell your Santa about your LEAST favorites! We all love our show, but it also sucks sometimes. Which parts suck the most for you?

this show is very good at being very bad, i agree op! i cannot handle mulder/other (i feel the reasons are clear, given my simping mulder manifesto above). diana can get eaten by a flukeworm. s9 doesn’t exist, and s8 only exists when i’m in a particular mood. only parts of the revival exist, mainly the parts that involve rhys darby. i am very “deny everything” about the things i don’t like. mulder is gone for scully’s pregnancy? denied. brain disease? denied. divorce arc? denied. mulder is red/green colorblind? that makes no fucking sense, he’s an fbi agent, i’m pretty sure that would disqualify him, and also: denied.

also, and this is kinda weird, but bc of bad timing in terms of release date, “i want to believe” is intimately linked to some really bad personal trauma for me, and so i can’t watch it or even really engage with it. that’s the only x-files thing that i can think of that’s an actual trigger instead of a coping mechanism

4. Tell your Santa your favorite tropes and genres! Only one bed? Friends to lovers? 5+1? Fluff, angst, hurt/comfort? You get the idea.

i am open to many things. off the top of my head: first time, hurt/comfort (guess who i want to be hurting and who i want to be comforting; see #2 if you’re uncertain). angst (with a happy ending) is always choice. idk, it’s probably easier to list the tropes i DON’T like rather than the ones i’m chill with, which is convenient, given the next question

5. Tell your Santa about tropes you tend to avoid.

so glad you asked! again, not a lot i will write off immediately, but i do have a weird complex about 5+1 fics. i have no idea why. i think they remind me of doing annoying, structured writing exercises in my creative writing classes. there are many wonderful ones out there i’m sure, but i wouldn’t know, bc i don’t read them. au is actually usually one of my favorites, but with x-files i tend to lean more toward a preference for canon divergence than au, i say, having written two different x-files au fics

hard no-nos for me are: spanking; any sort of spit/scat/piss play; D/s unless it’s extremely mild; and i can handle dubious consent if it treads the line veeerrry carefully, but no explicit non-con plz&thnx

6. For your Santa, but also just for fun, describe your ideal X-Files episode. Is it mythology? MotW? A literal porno?

my favorite episode would be a MoTW, which is full of a lot of whimsy and flirting, but also at some point mulder is very concerned about scully’s safety bc -gestures at #2-. then it would end with them sort of solving it, but probably not actually, and then they have a heart-to-heart, and since it’s my imaginary dream episode, they have their first kiss and then fuck nasty all night, god bless and amen

7. Speaking of pornography, tell your Santa what your spice preference is, using the following scale:

Salt only⁠ ⁠— No spice at all please! I.e. General audience rating.

Black pepper ⁠— A hint of spice. I.e. Teen rating.

i tend to loiter most around the chili pepper to ghost pepper range, but good fic/art/whatever definitely doesn’t have to have smut for me to appreciate it, so no pressure, secret santa, if smut isn’t your thing. (if it IS however, well then, by all means, go to town)

I'm procrastinating the final boss of Breath of the Wild atm because it's the big one before I open up my new Tears of the Kingdom game 😅

But it's left me with time to reflect on some stuff my brain's been apparently processing. (Imma little slow)

I've had it on my mind my relationships with the people in my life. I'm not exactly present for most things or people, though I am still around if someone asks it of me (most never ask). Being around takes energy I don't necessarily have to give as I am a person who gave and gave and gave and gave until I pretty much got to the point I kinda can't anymore.

I feel bad in some ways because I can't really reach out to people. I know they want me to and it can help them in some ways for me to do so ... But I am also extremely aware that when I do reach out to ask people how they're doing or if they need anything... They'll take FULL advantage of me. And I can't cope with the emotional energy they need, let alone any physical. I can't be the person to lift everyone up anymore... Especially because I've had to ASK people to do it for me (where I've done it without being asked), only then to get told I need too much (when I'm asking less than I gave) OR that I've "got this." Or that they don't have time to listen to me/would rather hear about better things (but not better then they're doing or they want all the resources and recommendations to do better themselves 🙄)

No. If someone ASKS it's usually (from my experience) because they're at the END and DESPERATE. In desperate need of assistance, and it took a LOT for them to ask as it was, and it will take longer for them to recover most times because of that... But they're also not asking the FULL amount from you, just enough to get them high enough to reach another ledge so they can then get through the next hurdle.

But, of course.. assumptions.

I was told recently that my adoptive parents miss me. And I.. don't. .. I believe they do. But I don't think they miss me in a way that is kind to me. I think they miss what I did and can do for them more than an actual relationship that I've needed- a give and take balance.

The last time I saw them all was my big hurrah. It was giving them their Christmas gifts.

Yes. They DID give me the ONLY gift that was at all tailored to my interests in return... one of I think 4 gifts I got total from all our families (we have 7 or so- weird marriage/adoptive stuffs) while I watched every sibling and cousin open up myriads around me.... So I can absolutely give them props for that...

But it's just... Hm... It's awkward.

I think they're telling people to tell me they miss me because of that happening. (No, they haven't reached out to me directly, of course).... As *I* am the person that provided everyone their favorite, and MANY gifts of this last holiday (The quantity doesn't really matter. The fact that every single person, no matter how distant, LOVED their gifts while I was forced to sit quietly among everyone else's delighted squeals) and I showed without a doubt I knew them and understood them despite constantly being the person yelled at for being needy/annoying and always forced to be left out of it all...

I think that was a tipping point in them realizing not only how valued I've always tried to show them they are (despite not being able to express it "correctly")... And how... Without value they've shown me I am and that they've chosen to believe I was before (because, again, I have trouble expressing stuff "correctly" as my words are assumed to always be convoluted like other humans... Instead of exactly how I say them)

I think I spooked everyone. And planted a seed of guilt.

And for that, if it's true, I'm pleased that seed is growing.... But it hasn't changed how undervalued I actually am. How they won't talk to me directly as I've asked over years and years and years..

It doesn't change their own demands (not ask as I have done) that *I* go directly to them and text first every time and reach out to check on them and blah blah blah if I want a relationship with them.

But. Maybe.

Maybe not.

I'm not sure. Because I can't be. They know me better than anyone... And yet hardly seem to know me at all.

So they "miss" me. Do they? Will it change a thing about our relationship if I reach out/try where they have failed to do so again?

...

Honestly. I don't know what to do anymore about it all. I'm legitimately sick and tired of being left out and shoved under a rug. And I don't want to become the person everyone EXPECTS big and perfect gifts and relationships from either - as if it can be taken for granted when I truly bust my ass for them... Because I absolutely won't stand for it.... But how to walk the line of being included and respected without making people feel like you're demanding it/too much and don't deserve it anyway?

I don't know.

I do ask that I get what I give in return... Which is only what people CAN provide. But for some reason, everyone always thinks I'm asking so much more than that... Or ONLY/exactly the things I give (which is terrifying when it's big, NGL. I know that for people.) when I'm not.

oh do you associate ship in a bottle with Mobius? Out of curiosity can you elaborate on why?

This is gonna be a mix of quick character analysis, an actual explanation, and my mental AMV.

The song is about someone who's self-isolating and putting up a strong front as everything falls apart around them. I think it fits Mobius's arc in PE very well.

The singer (who is really talking to themself in second person) started with a hard-earned self-built space, the glass bottle ("glass ceiling, walls, and floor", doesn't that imagery remind you of her lab?). This ship in a bottle was built by their own efforts, as somewhere walled away from pain where they demonstrate high skill— just like Mobius and her lab, which she has earned through her hard work and the subsequent recognition, which also becomes the place where she's respected and, well, where she uses her brains.

In particular, "But nothing can touch your happy thoughts anymore" matches up how confident Mobius is shown to be early on, especially with the "picking apart your brain" image. Despite being widely disliked on a personal level, look at how she's completely dominating the conversation when she recruits MEI into MOTH (Mobius: Good News): Mobius was happy and comfortable with her competence in her line of work. The Honkai wasn't that bad yet, it was a challenge (the "blue waves crashing into it", present but not yet threatening), a humbling challenge but a challenge she was thriving off of, eager to uncover its secrets.

"Pick your brain apart and build it again" can also be seen as building the Elysian Realm, but I'd say at this point in the song that's more foreshadowing. The premise is simply: The ship is Mobius's lab, and her lab is her safe space, where she is respected and content to pursue her work. She has earned this place alone, with her own efforts and skills.

Emphasis on alone and self-made for that second stanza, I think it's fairly evident where the metaphor is getting at once we've established the parallel. She's striving to transcend the gods on her own.

The chorus, however, peels off her mask. Things ARE falling apart. In the first round, I'd picture adult Mobius and her actual child self, the one who was abused and decided to make humanity evolve past the weaknesses of flesh as a result.

If the first few stanza are set early on in the timeline, after the chorus we find ourselves after Klein's death. The singer admits to crying, the water rising (can't cope anymore), the glass protection of their safe space is cracking. The ship is leaking water now, and there are many more that have sunk— despite this, the singer carries on.

For Mobius, things are seriously fucked now, and her demeanor has begun to break down. People leave her, either by dying (Klein) or out of disgust (Nuwa and Fuxi) but she still sets out for her goals. She'll do it even if she has to do it alone. That's how she's always done things, but now she carries the weight of those who can't carry on, too.

I'm not factoring ELF Klein here because 1. obvious the song wasn't written for Mobius, and more importantly 2. Mobius never meant for Klein to follow her all the way, she wanted her to be free. She would've LIKED that, but I don't think she DESIRED it, so she left her behind with the Realm. Mobius is very into "if you love them let them go", and I believe she was always planning to set off alone to an extent...

The song points out the singer is losing what kept them sane, and that's absolutely true for Mobius, she started out playful (some of the time) and became much more sullen and cold after Klein's death.

Then the chorus is back, but this time instead of actual child Mobius, I'd see the Sim talking to the real one, trying to tempt her into committing suicide and letting her be the "real and only" one. Instead of the tethering of denying trauma, it's a beckoning towards the abyss, it's turned malicious...

I could see the final chorus as specifically the background to Mobius's goodbyes and the hologram messages Mobius leaves for her creations.

And in the end, has the sim won...?

As we would later see... no, she didn't. The captain kept sailing on her own. Mobius always had her eyes set no closer than the horizon~

ANYWAY I'm very tired because I did hard things with people all day and woke up stupidly early so I hope this is coherent. Other people feel free to add to this. Would love to see a lyricstuck of this someday... Or hear about other songs people associate with her??

yoooo i’m here for questions like this. Gotta warn you though, I’m not the very good at going into depth about these things, but I’mma try

5. Slan 

Honestly she’s terrible, but we stan lol. But seriously, I find her absolutely fascinating and I really wish we could have learned who she was before she ascended, what actually made her activate her Crimson Behelit, and who did she sacrifice. Really I think I’m just fascinated by the mystery surrounding her.

4. Schierke

Such a wonderful lil bean :’). I’ve always adored child characters who are wise beyond their years and Schierke is definitely one of my favorites. I mean, we’re talking about a 12-13 year old girl who ADULTS look to for assistance when it comes to learning magic or staying sane, here. That to me speaks volumes of her strength. What I love most about her, though, is her dynamic with Guts. It’s so sweet how, aside from Casca, she’s the only other person he’s ever been completely open with and the fact that he trusts and believes in her so much is just so amazing to me. Plus her and Isidro’s antics never cease to make me laugh.

3. Luca 

She’s just a ray of sunshine in such a dark setting ☺️. I admire that despite living in such a bleak world and being in a hellish situation, she still remains, kind, selfless, and brave. And the unconditional, motherly love she has for her girls is just so heartwarming. I’ll be honest, I was pretty bummed when she didn’t join Guts’ party, but she had to look out for her girls so I get it.

2. Farnese

Ngl she got on my nerves at first, but I also found myself intrigued by her and the more I read, the more I ended up empathizing with her and liking her. 

For all intents and purposes, she should have become a terrible person, hell she almost did. Though I will say that’s pretty understandable, given how she was raised. Growing up neglected, sheltered and lonely can be really damaging to a person’s psyche. And the fact that she only got positive attention by hurting others did NOT help her mental instability. But when she joined Guts’ party, became Casca’s caretaker, and became Schierke’s student, I saw a side of her that I never would have expected to see in a character like her. It turns out her sadism hid kindness and compassion and selflessness. She just needed an opportunity to let that side of her shine through. I especially love her relationship with Casca and how she went from being a protector to a close female friend for Casca to rely on (which is something Casca really needs atm).

Also, I thought it was cool how Miura wrote Farnese using her penchant for bondage and sadomasochism to do good after her characterization (i.e. the thorn snakes). She’s actually the first instance I’ve seen of BDSM being portrayed in a positive way with a story like this, so that was pretty refreshing.

1. Casca

Words just cannot express how much I love this woman. But I’ll do my best.

Everything about her is just so amazing and she’s probably one of the STRONGEST female characters I know. I mean, this girl kept the Band of the Hawk together and lead them for a whole ass YEAR in Griffith’s place and when the Eclipse went down, she maintained a level head and managed to calm everyone down before everything went to shit. That honestly says a lot about her strength and leadership prowess.

That’s not to say that she always has it together. She can be hot-tempered at times but even then, she still has good judgement. She’s also emotional, and tends to cry a lot, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Actually, the fact that she wears her heart on her sleeve is just another thing that I admire about her. Her vulnerability only ADDS to her strength and imo makes her that much more relatable, because it underlines that while she is a gifted sword fighter, soldier, and commander, she’s still a human not a machine or weapon. And Casca realizing this, learning to find value within herself and learning to consider what SHE wants out of life rather than letting her value be dictated by her usefulness to someone else is something I love so much about her. And you probably have seen this a lot across tumblr, but I love, love, LOVE that she’s a WOC. I mean, how many instances are there of a leading lady in a dark medieval fantasy being POC, especially during the ‘90s?

My only complaint about her was that it took so long for her to come back to us. I don’t mind that Miura decided to have her dissociate after the Eclipse (in a few ways it makes sense given all that she witnessed and what she had to endure at the hands of Griffith and the apostles), but I wish it didn’t take 20 irl years for her to regain her sanity. Tbh, I think it would have been better if she began to gradually come back to herself or learned to cope with her trauma over the course of her and Guts’ journey, but it is what it is, and I’m just glad she’s back.

I just love her sooo much, holy shit 😩.
