The way I am posting this so late on friday makes this title thematically on point in more ways than one.

A Clock Chimes Softly Twelve for Midnight by @cold-blooded-jelly-doughnut Tarlos Wedding Countdown Prompt #16: The Big Day (Wedding Day) - It's the night before the wedding, and despite the traditions of their respective religions, TK and Carlos cannot bring themselves to spend the night apart. With Carlos's grief so fresh, so overwhelming, the boys spend the final hours before the wedding day taking comfort in each other, trying to help each other heal.

I am just in general, as a rule, weak for any time I get to see Carlos handled with a little bit of care. The moment TK and Carlos share in the final hours of the night before the rest of their lives is so tender and sacred and TK holds Carlos's grief with such care and it was just a pleasure to see them love each other so sweetly.

It's pretty late and I think everyone has been thoroughly tagged for the day so I will just pass the torch to anyone who might want to participate in a little late night fic rec-ing with me <3

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

The angst potential alone haunts me. How long do you think he waited for Ford?? When did it start to sink in that nobody was coming to save him, that nobody would miss him? Would anybody even want him back? How long did it take for his anger, his heartbreak, his grief to turn into acceptance and a belief that this was divine retribution? How long did he work, how many jobs did he take, how much wealth did he accrue, how many brushes with death did he have until he believed he’d “earned” the right to go home and see his brother?? Many such questions. I need to go deeper
