I only started writing in January & these fanarts I started in April so maybe I’m not the best to answer but I’ll try!!🫶🫶🫶

Short answer: I’m motivated by brainrot & the characters that move into my brain and demand to be drawn/written😭

Longer answer: I’ve always loved and been obsessed with stories & even before I learned fanfic was a thing last year (I live under a rock), I was always creating these crazy stories in my brain. I used to play the sims a lot for example…I would literally delete every premade family & make my own super complex relationships/generational drama and just watch the chaos play out and I always had so much fun coming up with different storylines and thinking about their personalities and how they would probably interact with each other.

I also read like CRAZY !!! 😳 I am a book devourer & am especially drawn to very long books that have beautiful writing and amazing characterizations:

And so, even though I don’t consider myself a very good writer, and I would never even hope to become as good as the authors I read, I think it’s fun to try and capture some feelings and emotions of what it’s like to be human💓 I always try to write the characters with love and care and maybe it’s my obsession to make them almost three-dimensional that keeps my brain rot strong😆 I might not achieve it but I’m having a lot of fun trying…

As for creating so consistently, the writing part isn’t so hard bc once I get an idea in my mind I just want to write it! I don’t get oneshot ideas often but when I do I’m like😳✍️✍️✍️✍️ until it’s over😆 I think coming up with plot/ideas/characterizations takes me a lot longer than actually writing - I barely edit what I post because what I write down is already pretty polished.

For my art, I just love the human body/anatomy/angles etc and I have a lot of fun trying to make the drawings have a lot of movement and that’s kind of what motivates me. Art is also my job & so I’m just used to doing it all the time & these fanarts are a fun way to cool down after I do my “normal” art. The more I draw the more ideas I get, and I like to draw scenes from either my fanfic, or scenes that I think are cute but will probably never happen. But THEN sometimes the “extra” drawings inspire things, like my latest oneshot🫶

If you’re reading this and you’re a writer or artist too & look at it differently I would LOVE to hear what you think!!! Since I’m just starting out with all of this maybe there are better methods😆🫶 for me it’s just a love for stories and wanting to create all the time!!!

part 2 of lab rats deserving better, for lack of a better title

picking up where we left off with mr. donald davenport/big d (chris and bryan, what the heck-) also HUGE TRIGGER WARNING of abuse and narcissism - donald davenport is one of the worst parents i have ever seen on disney. he makes it abundantly clear he only cares about himself and barely cares about his kids. i am fully aware that he was trying to protect them from douglas but i will say this on here because of the hate i got on the ‘say my name’ edit on tiktok. it’s davenport’s APPROACH that i am talking about. i know douglas would have been worse. with that being said… davenport always managed to make the situation about him. whether that was making a doll version of himself and making the toy company pay him god knows what amount of money for the lab rats’ action figures, or it’s an award FOR HIS KIDS for their 1000th mission that he tries to turn into a market deal with the president for his car, he always made it about him making money. even if it’s not about money, his ego never quits. when the KID’S BIONICS WERE EXPOSED, he said “i’m the brains behind it all. the smart behind the heart” (idk his exact words) and it’s like, stop talking about yourself for once. your kids could potentially be separated from each other and you’re talking about how you deserve credit for them. stfu, donald. additionally, and i sort of buried the lead here, my bad, in the literal first episode, you can see how donald had treated them for 16 years. he fed them pellet through a tube in their capsules - which was called ‘feeding time’ - what the fuck. chase LITERALLY says they’re “like human lab rats” and then they show adam in a human-sized hamster wheel. do people that defend davenport not realize that he treats his kids like animals? then after they made one mistake (going to school with no outside world experience thus inevitably causing trouble at school) and he almost sent them to an off-shore facility where they could complete their training - AGAIN, not letting them see the real world. bro, these are human kids you’re shutting out from the world. that’s like elsa in frozen possibly never evening meeting anna, could you imagine that? if you defend davenport, respectfully, unfollow or block me. no hate to hal sparks, all the hate goes to donald davenport.

tasha - my god, i love tasha. but there’s one thing that i wish they could have explored more: where the fuck is leo’s bio dad and what happened to him? so we know leo has a dad because leo says in ‘crush, chop, and burn part 1,’ “my NEW dad is batman!” but that’s literally all we even remotely hear of his bio dad. there are so many questions about this man. trigger warning real quick. was his dad absent most of his life? did tasha and him have a messy divorce? was he abusive? did they have a good or bad relationship with him? did he pass away? was he anything like davenport? in ‘can i borrow the helicopter?’ leo confides in davenport with a crush he has on janelle. davenport decides to tell tasha about said crush and she tries to help him hang out with her. after it backfires, leo is inevitably and understandably upset. “and what’s up with mr. blabbenport? i spill my guts to him and he blabs all about it” he says to tasha. davenport appears and here’s what he says to him: “you told my mom about janelle! i’ll never trust you again.” in my opinion, he could have and should have been more hurt. that could have showed us a bit more of leo’s past with his reaction. he could have said something like “i can’t believe my new dad can’t keep secrets either” or “my old dad would never have said anything.” like give us SOMETHING, disney. leo could have even struggled to tell davenport because his dad could have been a blabbermouth. we have no idea what his life was like before his mom married davenport. and tasha, when davenport was being irrational, could have said something like “this again! my ex husband always did stuff like this” or “new husband, same shenanigans.” seriously, we can get a little deeper here.

douglas: again, LOVE douglas. i know he started out at the main villain of the show along with marcus, but his CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT; BRAVO. he’s probably one of the funniest characters on the show. he just wanted his kids back, you know? give him a break. no but in all seriousness, he changed so much and became a better person. he showed he cared about the kids and saved their lives twice. donald? didn’t care that chase came home safe in ‘avalanche’ and was more excited about the money than his own kid. also the thing with perry having a crush on him was hilarious. i wish we had seen more of his backstory, though. all we know is that he wanted to make adam, bree, chase, and daniel cyber soldiers and davenport kicked him out and stole/rescued (however you see it) the kids, he faked his own death, and he partnered with victor krane to continue his research. all we get are these jokes throughout the show: “i was going through a rough patch and wanted societies to destroy each other.” in ‘sink or swim part 2’ when krane says to destroy adam, bree, and chase, douglas says “that was never my plan?” and from then on, tries to get in with and protect the kids, what did he want then? did he just want forgiveness or did he still want control over them? other than that, i don’t have much to say. i think douglas’ character was well written and had a good arc.

theresa cherry perry aka principal perry - i know she’s a terrible person but she’s so easy to like. she clearly cares about the kids but will never admit that. she wasn’t a very complex character though, i think. she was the standard mean principal who had a questionable past and 6 cats. what do you guys think of perry? what questions and/or suggestions do you have?

danielle, trent, ethan, stephanie, mrs. thissle - where did they all go?

am i the only one who couldn’t stand caitlin? like she started out as bree’s nerdy best friend but then became this like crazy weird girl everyone hates. like? you couldn’t let bree have one good friend?

overall, lab rats is a great show. clearly, it has a huge fan base and there are lab rats editors everywhere on tiktoks and instagram. hundreds of blogs dedicated to lab rats and other disney xd shows on tumblr, or loads of posts about the lab rats universe. again, chris peterson and bryan moore did a great job with what they had, but if the show hadn’t been produced by disney and the things from post and part 1 of this post had been thought about more, it could have been a MUCH better show. what are your thoughts?

thoughts on todays volume ! no pics because my phone storage is bursting at the seams (partly due to this game, but the last time i did a reinstall i had to replay a whole volume 😭)

first up is stand the test of slime ! FB loves a compatibility challenge when we’re at a point where we can’t choose the LI we actually want to be with 😒 anyways, it was a snoozefest, we don’t even learn anything interesting about our partner or the other islanders

vida dodging all the slime had me rolling my eyes…girl, this is not the matrix 😭 but also because i immediately knew it would be setting up for a “revenge” diamond scene

of course MC and kane won ! MC took a shower with ruby, and then the guys are sent on a bombshell sleepover…all of them. we’ll see later on that there’s still only two bombshells, so why the hell weren’t all the girls sent to the harvey/tunde sleepover ? we could’ve had more time with ruby

speaking of spending time with ruby, vida & esme are being weirdos so MC and ruby go to the terrace & do bits 😭

jace comes back because the other guys “voted him out,” he’s about to spill the tea when MC gets a text that her prize is for winning the slime challenge is… being sent to the sleepover ??

jace finally spills the tea, i don’t give not one singular shit about vida 2.0, especially because felicity is there ! unfortunately i can’t even be fully happy about that because she’s seemingly straight, and certainly all up on callum 💔 if FB’s lazy asses wanted to reuse a sprite they might as well have brought kat in here for a 3rd time. why did they dangle felicity in our face like this ?

moving on, FB needs to stop doing these sleepovers because that entire segment was straight up torture to read. it felt like season 5

anna trying to kiss kane without consent & being like “it’s just a game !” is nasty. it’s even worse that calling her out is framed as “stop flirting with my man,” rather than “stop being a predator.” once again, season 5 energy, because nobody except the spoiled-milk-for-brains fuckwits that wrote that pile of garbage would ever think this was acceptable

and why tf is MC at risk of getting dumped when the only reason she’s there is in the first place is because she won a challenge ?? what kind of prize is that ? (rhetorical question, i already know that there’s a high chance that FB themselves can’t even explain why)

tunde reveals that callum is the one zabrina slept with ! (& earlier, jace mentioned that they all knew who it was but they kept it a secret. which is incredibly shady and unfair to ruby, but whatev, she’ll be laughing all the way to the bank when she wins with MC 🫶🏽) i’m actually surprised it wasn’t jace with how odd he’s been acting, but “ruby’s partner” was my 2nd guess (i’m still confused on what direction they’re taking jace/esme. is it a noah/hope situation, or will they be completely inseparable like nicky/elladine & seb/genevieve ?)

felicity, sweetie, you deserve better than this game 😭 now we have two shitty rivals in the villa, yayyyy 😐 i assume either vida or anna will get dumped very soon though

overall, this volume was so bad i considered dropping this season entirely. i won’t, because FOMO, but it’s not enjoyable at all luv. i barely spend time with my LI, these bombshell sleepovers are already stale, and so is the onslaught of these rivals that have absolutely nothing going on besides bullying MC. & at the end of the day it’s just a silly mobile game or whatever, but that anna scene did bother me a lot. pretty much the only positive thing i can say about this season is that esme hasn’t been villainised (yet)

why i think harvey specter and louis litt are bpd coded (to an extent)

this is just harmless headcanon based on what i noticed while watching, don’t take me too seriously. i’m pretty sure aaron korsh has never even heard of bpd and no one in that writers room knew enough about psychology to actually write a borderline character…

i could make a way more in depth analysis of their mental… situations… but i haven’t rewatched the show in a while so these are just my most basic observations

aside from his uh.. obvious emotional instability and anger issues. i think the most tangible proof i have of this one is when he was described as “loving, hating, and wanting to be harvey at the same time.” now, i’m pretty sure that was just a movie quote… but Very Telling imho…

also the way all his romantic relationships play out in the show (TARA!!!!)… idk y’all… that tara thing was textbook limerence in my eyes.

side note, i’ve seen people call him bipolar quite a bit but i’m pretty sure most of that is just the colloquial (see: wildly incorrect) usage/misunderstanding of the term and not actual concrete evidence of any bipolar theories.

this one is a little less obvious, so bear with me. but i think the way he started having panic attacks so severe he had to see a therapist (!!!) because donna went to work for someone else at the same damn firm… i’m sorry but the abandonment issues are wild. also the scene when he sees lipschitz one on one and he’s basically complaining that everyone leaves him and louis is gonna forget about him once he has a baby…? which uh, has he ever met louis before? also, that scene gets extra funny when the writers had him and donna leave for seattle like the day after lucy was born… who’s leaving who now?

also, his anger issues got pretty bad too… and his whole “i don’t care about anyone, caring makes me weak” shtick from the earlier seasons isn’t necessarily giving mental illness, but it certainly doesn’t paint a picture of perfect mental stability… i mean, he does change throughout the show (see: the whole situation with anna) but i’d argue that was directly a result of mike’s presence in his life.

ACTUALLY, DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT ONE. SECRETLY KEEPING MIKE AND RACHEL’S OLD APARTMENT JUST IN CASE THEY MIGHT COME BACK??? but that deserves a whole separate post bc that’s not related to bpd… just homosexuality.

Also in my mind mike is slightly autistic coded (strong sense of justice, eidetic memory, hyperempathy (actually just normal empathy tbh but he just looks really emotional compared to Harvey “I Don’t Get Attached To Clients, I Win” Specter)) but that’s not an actual theory i have nor is it at all supported by canon, pure projection by me on that one.

OMG…Let’s talk about it… HEAVEN’S SECRET: REQUIEM

So, latest chapters of Heaven’s Secret: Requiem has got me screaming. I’m not sure how many of you made the choices I have in the book(s)—this book more specifically when it comes to the HS series. But I have chosen the Cain route more than the other routes. But I still have the Dmitry and Boris thinking about MC. Now, let’s just unpack that Ada is dead. I’m wondering if Pileon has any idea or if that is going to be reveled in the next chapters to come. AND can we just unpack how crazy Donovan—like full crazy but a genius if she bought back an immortal that AKA is Abel AKA CAIN’S OLDER BROTHER!! Not to mention he has CAIN’S memories of MC and Cain getting hot and heavy. Like, not to be that person but if that’s the case doesn’t that mean MC is dating both brothers mentally since they almost share a brain—or memories. But I can’t even start to unpack that because there is so much that happened in these 3 chapters alone.

I mean, let’s start with S3, E3 - A Normal Human (A yes I remember the names of the chapters because like…IT’S THAT GOOD…to me); now I just want to question this crimson corridor. What is it that MC has to remember? Now, I do have my suspicions that MC could be the other MC from the other books but then again she looks very different…there is a lot I’m thinking and can’t stop thinking about but I really want to know what MC has to remember. And what does the spear even do? ANY ideas from other people? I’m all ears…Anna…she’s got a real problem, don’t know what exactly from her back story but she definitely has an obsessive trait if she is inserting the UNKNOWN into her own body. And not Donovan trying to basically put a leash on MC. I mean, I’m all for experimenting in the bedroom but that’s just crazy lol. And MC escaping. EPIC!! And gosh! I know I honestly chose Cain but I just want to know…Does MC get a little kissing scene with Abel because the brothers are so HOT! 🥵 Like if there is anything you are going to do RC, make that happen.

S3, E4 - Confession; There is some tension going on with the brothers and I can totally understand why. The mother is honestly a bitch and Abel is even more of a jerk because he basically blamed Cain for ruining their family. Like what the hell a baby can do to a grown ass adult? Also, let’s just make it clear I never liked Agape, that damn pastor got what he deserved. And I’m happy MC served Donovan a good one.

S3, E5 - God’s Particle; The fact Anna chose to go with Donovan is beyond me. My phone actually hit the wall (thank the RC gods that I had a case on it lol) But that’s not the point because I’m not surprised we got her back anyway. But what is the point is Abel paying all nice and I want to know why? Kissinger scene to be? 😉 Not to mention we basically found out that immortality yeah not so immortal since Ada is dead and basically got her soul or heart transported into Abel. So, does that mean God isn’t so dead after all and is making a comeback? And is the chosen one MC or Abel or Cain?

Anna!!! Any greys thoughts now the season has finished?? 💚

Hi baby, okay, I have thoughts but first I need to say I'm obsessed with the rep of people attracted to multiple genders, Teddy, Amelia, Mills, the peds lady, and the way it's never a big deal, let's gooo love that. But yeah, the last two episodes kinda make the season worth it kapaksoska I love the fast paced drama, I was never big on Catherine, maybe because I really love April and I hate the way she handles the situation when they find out April was pregnant during the divorce, but she really pushed it too far. Firing Meredith, Amelia, Teddy AND Owen is nuts, the chief of surgery, neuro, and trauma on a power trip? What????? Very interested in how that's gonna go especially with Bailey threatening to quit for Lucas. Kinda weirdly invested in the interns drama, the way they keep trying out different pairings, Mills and Yasuda almost kissing was something, I was on the edge of my seat lol, more backstory on Kwan, I'm surprised the fiance is alive but with amnesia, with the way they made him talk about it, I just assumed she was dead, which I guess was kind of the point, but of course greys was gonna go the more over the top route lol, Lucas proving he has the Shepherd brain all tied together with Amelia's empathy was amazing, but can someone address his ADHD again please. Simone needs to stop. Even more with the way she keeps pingponging Lucas. It's not her decision to keep him there and yes, he deserves the recognition for what he learned from his mistakes, but the opportunity with Maggie is too good to pass on for a hospital that's falling apart lol I like the way Amelia and Owen's friendship evolved to that moment of confidence in her, didn't think he had it in him kapakapakaa also LOVED him standing up for Teddy, Teddy and Owen as a relationship and a friendship is all very realistic, I think, I love how their marriage works, even more now that the show remembered they were supposed to be best friends. I am intrigued by Jo deciding to hide the pregnancy, I know they had the kids conversation and Link told her he's not ready, but this is not a hypothetical child anymore and they were doing so well with the communication, I guess they need a conflict. I was surprised Ndugu and peds lady (sorry I can't remember her name to save my life kspakapa) I saw it coming when they were at the bar but it was still surprising kskapakpakaoa. Overall, I think it was a very solid season finale event, the pacing was nice, we were getting a good amount of drama, the surgeries were interesting, it all elevated the season in my opinion. I still don't think it's an amazing season, but it went from just being there to nice, which is a win kspskspskspkaa what about you? Give me your thoughts.

HIIIII HICCANNA NATION, long time no post!!!

Sooooo long story short, a bitch overcommitted HARD last year, and had like 17 Hiccanna month posts that I completely ran out of steam to finish. And then because I felt so guilty I didn't finish THOSE, I also didn't reblog all the incredibly awesome posts the rest of y'all made, and I'm really sorry for not giving my people the love and appreciation they deserve!!! And then, of course, my life from like October through like March became an absolute shitstorm, and I got semi-threatened with eviction and then friend-dumped by one of the most important people in my life D: It was a whole Ordeal™️, and sadly, my brain was too fried to think about my favorite awkward blorbos 💔

BUT BY GOD, THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO GET MY LIFE TOGETHER AND PULL THROUGH FOR ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE THIS FUNKY LITTLE EVENT COME TO LIFE!!! WEEK 4—COMIC BOOKS And now, for the ultimate kick-ass combination of visuals and literature—the visual novel and comic book!!! Since Hiccup and Anna are, fundamentally, animated cartoons (as much as they are much more to all of us!), it seemed fitting to wrap up with this one :3 This week is all about comics, and what epic shenanigans and hijinks can come of Hiccanna-ifying them!

1. Sci-Fi/Fantasy AU—One of the things comic books and visual novels do best is exploring fantastical scenarios and limitless possibilities. The iconic superhero AU is probably the most well-known, but your options don't end there! Do you have a favorite comic about guys on spaceships exploring the galaxy and battling aliens? Or a comic about a party of DnD-style adventurers taking down an evil wizard? Throw some Hiccanna in it and let us see! The sky's the limit, and really, you don't even have to stop there! (Note: Using AUs for ANY of these prompts is real and valid and encouraged, so don't feel like this is the only place where you can use wacky AUs! This is just the one where they have a special focus/emphasis. But AU away whenever you like—Hiccup and Anna kinda require an AU to even be able to interact, so it sort of comes with the territory!)

2. Favorite Comic Book Adaptation AU—Many of us have been lucky enough to see a comic we like be adapted into something else, and can say with confidence that the adaptation kicks absolute ass,, whether it be a movie, TV show, novelization, video game, or whatever else! Like with the previous prompt, superhero comics might be the first thing to come to mind. Of course, I'd be delighted to see Hiccanna in the world of the Spiderverse, Invincible, or your favorite DC or Marvel movie, but keep in mind these aren't your only choices! Something like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World or Netflix's The Sandman would be a totally valid option as well! Have fun and go crazy :3

THE BACKSTORY OF: JANE WHITMAN

(In the span of however fast or slow you may read this.)

[Just a heads up, spoilers for Date Time ahead.]

Born in the year of, or at the very least some year before 1974, (Inferred by the newspaper we find in one of the first rooms of what we can only assume is her headspace and the fact that she has a teacher named Mrs. Afee in this year) Jane had an eventful childhood, such as her father basically abandoning her and her mother, leading to a childhood that Randy would call uneventful, but I know led to a majority of Jane's life being the way it is.

Mrs. Afee was concerned for her health because she usually just drew all day, never interacting with the other kids (Oh, hey, it's me!) She was also not that cooperative with her mother, which... granted, most kids aren't. There's also a cat plush that you can squish, but I can either say "This must've been Jane's comfort plush!" or I can just admit I don't know why it's there and move on.

In 1975 (Inferred by another newspaper) Jane was asked to draw something else by her teacher... and the result wasn't very pretty. Either way, it was in this year that Jane caught wind of Silicon Valley, a place in California known for it's technological whimsy!... which her mom thought was a financial fad. I want to see the look on her face when she finds out she was DEAD WRONG!

Jane liked watching TV, and one show she watched had a little sock puppet man named Klippy. He told her that she was loved and cared for and that somebody else out there in the world was the same way, which is true! Klippy also told Jane to never give up! And ya know what her momma said?!

"Don't listen to the TV, Jane. It'll rot your brain."

Everybody say it with me: FUCK YOU, JANE'S MOM!

...okay, I shouldn't give her too much shit, she was struggling with rent because her husband fucked off to Valhalla. (probably)

Anyway, next room/part of Jane's life! No year this time, but we can assume she's older. Now she's some quiet gal trying to get a job for the summer at a restaurant, but those guys rejected her. She got shoved into a locker by some bitchass named Jackie, some Mrs. Sophie woman (probably another teacher) tells her to give up on art and focus on getting her life together (and gave her only two options: Work force or housewife), and Jane's mother forces Jane to get into a prom dress that even Anna thinks is dreadful AND DATE SOME A-HOLE!

Literally. If my theory about the next room is right, her date is literally just called 'A-hole.'

Anyway, we have another year on a magazine! 1980! Woo-hoo! Anyway, this guy takes the time to share weird facts like "Did you know we only use 10% of our brains?" WHICH IS FUCKIN' BULLSHIT. He also claims to be a lawyer and that a limousine can still turn if tilted at a certain angle- actually, wait- no he didn't He told her it's not true after saying it! WHAT THE FU-

He says he's a fan of 'Art of War,' an ancient Chinese military treatise by Sun Tzu and that he'll pay for the meal if Jane gives him another date, to which she rightfully declines. Good on you, Jane. You deserve better. Anyway, she's scratched out her drawings because nobody supported her art career and her mom, despite being the partial cause of Jane's dismay was like "You used to draw all the time! What happened?"

Again, say it with me: FUCK YOU, JANE'S MOM!

Jane also tried to get a job working for a "John Avast," who, like basically everyone else in her life, rejected her. And then, finally, after so many years of heartbreak and depression... Jane met Melissa, a character from a dating game that's been there since the start of the series. She's also self-aware and will someday grow tired of the fruitless cycle of dates and smooches and cafes with only three choices on the player's side, including a SCRUMPTIOUS PANINI.

Anna's tired of Melissa in general and slices that memory to bits right in front of Jane. Yikes.

Anyway, Jane loved Melissa so much that upon actually getting her arm held by Melissa's pixelated figure as she begged to be with her, that she couldn't help but say yes and immediately start to gather the supplies for a break-in to the library, which her mother catches her in the act and SENDS HER TO A MENTAL INSTITUTION CALLED ST. PALO AFTER GETTING A NEW ROOMMATE.

ONE MORE TIME: FUCK YOU, JANE'S MOM!

In the next room, we meet the biggest bastard to ever bastard in Jane's life (other than Anna,) and his name is Dr.Kaperski. Real piece of work this one. Jane's restricted while she sits down and is basically forced to tell Dr.Kaperski what happened at the library, and when she's done, she rightfully tries to attack him, but a nurse forces her to take the medicine prescribed to her and possibly gain a fear of needles as a result if she didn't have one already.

And that's where the flashbacks end... but wait. There's more.

At the age of 24, Jane is let go, courtesy of the Data Time company, because SHE GOT HIRED AFTER SO FUCKIN' LONG, LET'S GOOOOO! She gets a copy of Anna and as we check her emails, we see an email from her mom. Again, I'd love to see the look on that woman's face when she thought semi-conductors were a financial fad! Sorry isn't going to cut it for scarring your kid for life!

Anyway, Anna takes Jane's wheel after taking her down memory lane, they shuffle on over to the library and confuse the fuck out of Melissa, but then when she's about to make her move and give the Anna-possessed Jane a big ol' smooch, she whips out a device that sends Melissa right back into the computer with one last moment of clarity that this ain't Jane, and with that, the (probably first ever) copy-protected Melissa diskette is born.

Jane ain't having it.

She fights with all of her might against big bad Anna and manages to tuck the diskette away in it's character's favorite book, Pride and Prejudice. Speaking of which, HOW, pray-tell, has nobody found that thing yet?! There's a demand in romantic books, so surely someone would've found it by now! (Not a knock against the game, just a joke.)

Anyway, Jane rushes out of the library before Martha (the librarian) or Anna (the bitch) can get her to show the diskette to them, and ends up running out of breath in the middle of the street before a fuckin' semi shows up AND SPLATTERS HER BODY ALL OVER THE STREET!

In my opinion the art is beautiful and hurts no one, I don't believe it deserved that reply on twitter. What bothers me is the comments and theories. What is crazy to me is calling anyone who doesn't believe Michael and David are dating a homophobic. Also the whole "Michael never called Anna his wife" yeah because they're partners, not married. They've dated women as far as we know all their lives. Again, they also quote all the sexual comments Michael and David make to eachother as proof that they're dating.

There's also a very amusing comment that I must highlight: "They deliberately cropped a photo to just include David and Georgia, and ignored the "Michael is my work wife" quote by david in order to fit their narrative that Dt and Gt are in love."

I found it funny because they do the same. They ignore the many posts with their children looking happy, the videos with anna and georgia looking in love, doing stuff together, the quotes of them praising anna and georgia in interviews, talking about how much they love them and their kids, and only focus on the comments/pics/videos of Michael and David talking about each other 😂 why can't both loves coexist?? Why can't they be in a loving poly relationship? Why can't they be in love with their partners and just have a close friendship with one another? No, the only option they entertain in their brains is "gay couple/affair"? And we're the ones who are homophobic and close minded? So before they met they were doing what for years and years? Pretending to be in love and having kids "just cause"? 3 of the kids were born after they met on go if I'm not mistaken so how does that fit the timeline? 😂 I'm not gonna get into having sex just for making babies cause next thing we know we are demanding celebrities to make sex tapes each time they do it to prove it to us \0_0/

(When I say "us" I'm not talking about the person in the tweet, but the fandom in general whom they usually call antis or Georgia and Anna fans lmao)

I'm not saying them being in a romantic relationship with each other is impossible. As a bi woman, i never assume anyone's sexuality. But when you have female partners, and fall for a male, that's called being bi! I'm sorry everyone but these men are not gay as in homosexual! They can very much be bisexual and believe me, if they one day came out I would be the first person to say: they were right, we were wrong!

But please, don't be someone who simply denies bisexuality to exist. Anyone of any gender can be bi and be in a monogamous relationship, a poly relationship, with both men and women. It doesn't invalidate or make the other relationship less than!

My opinions aside, their sexuality is none of our business. Sure, I know fans like to speculate and I understand it, but we can't simply choose one option and claim it as reality above all else and brush off the other ones. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors so it's really dumb to claim we do based off of the little we see on tv/social media! - and yes I am including my view as well! By the little I see, they can be 2 happy straight couples, a poly quadruple (sorry if that's not the term), a bi couple (ignoring the ladies), but what they 100% are is 4 friends who love eachother and seen to be quite happy. And I'm very happy about that too.

1. How did you get into writing fanfiction?

So I was about 13 years old, I was scrolling through my brand new One Direction tumblr, username "its-a-1d-world", soon to become "curly-and-boobear-stylinson", a harrowing username that genuinely makes me shiver like someone just walked over my grave. Like I'm sure this means nothing to someone who wasn't in the fandom AND an extreme larrie but let me tell you. Imagine the most intensely cringe superwholock url you could have. It's on that level

And I remember seeing what we would soon come to very derisively refer to as a "harry het fic" on my dash. So like, in 1D fandom, you had your standard self-insert Y/N fics, you had the queer RPF where you were shipping the boys with each other, and then you had the "het fics", which is where someone would make up a female character for one of the boys (usually Harry bc that man had and still has an insane chokehold on teenage girls everywhere) to date. If anyone has had the misfortune to read and/or watch After by Anna Todd... that type of deal

ANYWAYS I was totally unaware of fanfic as a concept, which is quite funny because as a little baby writer I'd been writing extremely derivative pseudo-fanfic for quite a few years by that point, like stories inspired by Young Dracula or Narnia or whatever without really knowing what it was. But this Harry het fic floated across my dash and a little switch went in my brain because I was like WAIT. I COULD BE WRITING STORIES ABOUT THE BOYS?? Like this was so exciting to me because writing is like probably my biggest eternal special interest and One Direction was my like, most intense special interest at the time, so I was like WAIT. I CAN COMBINE THESE THINGS. And also PEOPLE WILL READ THEM AND COMMENT ON THEM and I was sooo convinced I was god's gift to writing at the time so I was like well OBVIOUSLY everyone will read MY fics and I'll get super fandom famous instantly.

So I wrote an incredibly terrible Harry het one shot with an original character and literally got crickets. Nobody read it. Very embarrassing. I think I wrote a handful of these and nobody wanted to know, which is fair enough because I'm sure they were very bad. But THEN I was like okay fine, well everyone is obsessed with Larry, including me (though I very much liked it in a "bromance" way at the time, so I'll write a Larry fic instead. This is Louis and Harry for the uninitiated. It was the biggest fandom ship. We shipped all and every configuration of the boys but Larry and Ziam were the hard hitters. I think I wrote a few different one shots for various pairings but then I did my first Larry multi-chapter

ANYHOO the Larry fic was a big hit, I got all the outpouring of compliments and attention that my enormous thirteen-year-old head was convinced I deserved and that was kind of it really lmao. I was hooked. When I tell you I'd update my fics MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY because I was writing so fast and so obsessively, like god idk what the fuck was going on in my head but it was the greatest high I have ever experienced in my life. I also got incredibly deeply involved in the conspiracy theory about Louis and Harry's secret gay relationship and spent the next five years of my life tinhatting obsessively but that's a whole other story

2. How many fandoms have you written in?

In terms of what I've posted to AO3, only a handful—as mentioned, I started off in the One Direction fandom, I've written for The Flash and Legends, and dabbled in Doctor Who. In terms of fandoms I've written little bits for but never shared... so many lmao, the list (as far as I can recall) includes the following:

Batwoman, Supergirl, The Bold Type, The Devil Wears Prada, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Torchwood, Twilight, X-Men, and bizarrely, The Witcher, apparently??? I have ZERO memory of that, but it's in my fanfic folder. No idea what that was about

3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

I think I started in 2011/early 2012, so upward of a decade at this point... eesh.

4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Definitely write. I do want to read more fic, but I have a hard time choosing what to read and I am very bad at using AO3's search functions to find what I want.

5. What is one way you’ve improved as a writer?

I've finally started finishing shit!! Big moment for me lmao

6. What’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

I read an entire book on public defenders for a fic where Barry becomes a public defender instead of a CSI. I own a copy of a book called Forensics for Dummies which I'm slowly working my way through for fic reasons... I feel like none of these are that weird lmao

7. What’s your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Who doesn't love the mega long comments pulling out random lines the reader liked to yell about them. I sometimes get so excited reading these comments that I lose sleep over it lmao i love them so much

8. What’s the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

Lmaoo this is a very odd one but I once wrote a Larry Stylinson fic where Harry was Slenderman and he was haunting Louis, and either Zayn or Liam was like a Van Helsing type who was trying to hunt Slenderman!Harry down and kill him. Or maybe it was Nick Grimshaw, the at the time host of the BBC1 radio breakfast show. He was the go-to fandom villain at the time

I never finished it but that was a cool time, someone in the fandom actually composed an instrumental piano piece inspired by Slenderman!Harry which is up there with the coolest things that have ever happened to me

In general I don't know if I necessarily go that fringe. I feel like it's somewhat obvious I have a bit of a thing for femdom, and also like. Coldwest/coldwestallen in general lmao, I guess that's fringe-ish

9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Funnily enough probably pwp. I feel like smut is generally considered to be just an easy fun time but I feel like my line-editing process is not conducive to smut writing thing because I write the first draft in a haze of feral horny energy and then edit and revise it over and over to the point where I no longer find it sexy at all and am unable to tell whether it's even still hot or if I've totally killed the vibe in my quest to find the most poetic way of describing the way people fuck nasty. It's very frustrating ngl

10. What is the easiest type?

None of them. This is such a cop-out but everything I write is hard because I'm an insane perfectionist and everything HAS to be beautifully crafted so at this point everything is hard. But ngl I find multichapters easiest to draft in some ways just cos I can kinda cling to the high of "ooh a new idea" whilst also contributing to the same project because the "new ideas" are just new chapters, if that makes sense? It's fitting them all together that's the hard part lmao

11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

I use a combination of Microsoft Word, Scrivener, and a notes app on my phone called Penzu, which is where I scribble down all the random snippets and ideas and bits and bobs that come to me during the day. The bulk of my drafting and editing is done in Word and I basically only use Scrivener for its notecard function where you can move scenes around really easily, and then I transfer everything back into Word because of Tracked Changes. Does Scrivener have that? Probably. Scrivener has everything

12. What is something you’ve been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

Honestly it's never really a case of "too nervous/intimidated" because I genuinely have never encountered an idea where I was like "hmm idk if I can pull it off", I have extreme faith in my own capabilities to an almost delusional level lmao, it's always just "I do not have time". But I do have this extremely long Coldwestallen fic that's inspired by Hades and Persephone, with Barry as Persephone, Len as Hades, and Iris as a soooort of Demeter figure which i know is weird because Demeter is Persephone's mother, but whatever, she more embodies the familial connection of the whole team rather than being an actual blood relative if that makes sense

So the concept is basically Barry as Persephone spending half his time with Len and the Rogues in the criminal underworld (I thought I was so clever for that one lmao) and the rest with Team Flash, and then the lines blur and it becomes coldwestallen-y eventually, but it's soooo long and basically split into four novels that I have written between 25 and 50k for each. It's gonna take me literal YEARS to tackle this thing so I've kinda put it on hold for now but I miss it so much

13. What made you choose your username?

So I wrote a joke in a fic that I genuinely have no idea whether I even posted it or not, it might have been in Aftermath. But basically Barry's suit gets blown up and he gets photographed literally streaking through the city totally nude (you can't see anything bc he's moving too fast but you can tell he ain't wearing any clothes lmao) and there's a newspaper headline that's like "THE FLASHER???" Let me tell you I was very annoyed the other day when I learned they already made that joke on Supergirl

And then I just added "cold" for Len lmao

Man, I don't know where to start. Favorite books: Wuthering Heights, Anna Karenina, Little Women, Atonement, Mrs. Dalloway, Love in the Time of Cholera. Also, equally loved, but loved in a different part of my brain: Dracula, Anne of Green Gables, Howl's Moving Castle, The Locked Tomb series, Normal People, The Dangers of Smoking in Bed, The Bloody Chamber, the Six of Crows duology, The Left Hand of Darkness, Ender's Game, Station Eleven, and a million other books that I'm going to remember and kick myself for forgetting, because any book I love is always my favorite when I'm reading it, but I don't have just one. There are a lot of poets I love and learn from, too: Louise Glück, Margaret Atwood (hot take: I like her poetry more than her novels), Anne Carson, and Richard Siken. In terms of movies, I watch what my friends tell me to, but my favorites tend to be spectacle sci-fi productions like Nolan or Villenueve's ouevre, movies that really take advantage of the scale of the thing. Or Wes Anderson's middle period. Or Audrey Hepburn movies. I watch those whenever I need a pick-me-up.

Your characterization of Anna is exactly what i was hoping for tbh. She would never have Johan’s “no lives matter” approach because even at her kindest, when she was not the monster in the normal timeline, it was never about what people deserve with her. She doesn’t forgive Johan cause everyone deserves to live and be forgiven or whatever, her personal philosophy is never impersonal. She forgives him because he is her brother. Because she loves him and she’d forgive him again and again. A sweet sentiment and also so very “selfish”. Monster Anna would not be Johan’s impersonal, god-like, judging humanity as a whole kind of creature. She’d be a selfish and angry thing. Johan’s dishes out punishment detached but Anna would be so very attached that it’d be horrifying. She’s hunting you down like she’s the cat and you’re the mouse. Philosophy and morality mean little to her because she makes her own personal brand of justice and she is aware she has biases and she does not care in the slightest. Exactly as you said, she gets to choose now.

I imagine Johann’s self sacrificial nature would piss her off to no end cause, imagine her resenting her brother yet also caring about him and yet he’s so eager to sacrifice himself for everyone else. It doesn’t matter that he’d do it for her too. In her eyes she’s the only one he should be doing it for. The gall of him to not understand that his sole responsibility is to her. Yet again him being concerned with humanity as a whole (while still obvi she is the center of his pathology and the catalyst of his behavior) and her being concerned with the humans in her little world. They’re foils to each other especially in the scale of what and who they consider when referring to the world.

I think this is where my take kinda diverges though because for me she has one hell of a cain complex, and she would literally cut off all ties and existence of her connected with her brother. literally like "brother?? what brother. I don't have one. nope." meanwhile johan is literally like (;-;). But your takes super neat though too nonnie!

I give anna a "wanting to seperate from her brother" thing because in the anime that's what protected her brain from the memories and her trauma. Sad to say but she was literally living her best life when she didn't even know about Johan FHKLAHJFA so I think that's why anna is trying to emulate that. A life where she has no brother and no mother, therefore she is not the twin that was given away because she is not a twin, she has no twin she is just anna!! there's no one else, just anna.

WHICH might tie in to her trauma of being the "least favourite" twin because now you don't have to choose between her and her brother. what brother? She has no brother You can just choose her and only her, she's who you should be choosing anyway.

which is actually why i think that maybe Anna might be using "Nina" as a fake name to furhter separate herself from him throughout the alternate monster au. Just like how Johan uses "Johan" because he has no name, Anna uses "Nina" because she does have a name, but she does NOT want anything to do with it. She is Nina, Not Anna, because Anna is a girl with a brother and a mother. and being Anna hurts because that brother and mother left her all alone and unloved and had to face a special little place called red rose mansion and kinderheim all by herself.

Which would make the conflict of alternate monster au reconciling the fact that she has a brother, she has a past tied to him, and she has to face the fact that she can't just erase all the unpleasant memories, things, or people in life to stay happy or make the world a "happy place".

If monster is all about Johan and Nina, twins who are irreversably connected with each other and having to face the fact that they can be two different individuals with their own two lives and different personalities and are not "halves" of one person, but instead are two whole people with their own identities and with their own lives.

Then alternate monster is all about Anna and Johann, two different people with two very different lives and diff identities, having to come to terms and to face their past that they are in fact once siblings, a fact that further cannot be denied with them being twins and undeniably looking like the other, and that they may be more similar and connected in each other's lives and past than they want to admit to themselves

Yep, my mom is a big fan and I listened to it (the original cast recording) as soon as I learned some English (my first language is Russian), so I think at 8?

My faves are the 1973 movie (cuz classic) but I don't at all like Ted Neeley, Питерская Рок-опера (st Petersburg Rock Opera) but it has to be with Bayarunas as Jesus and Kazmin as Judas, and the Swedish version from 2012 in Stockholm. I am completely in love with Peter Johansson's Judas and this musical is actually the reason I got into Scandinavian languages! I'm studying Norwegian now, not Swedish, but there are a lot of similarities so I understand a pretty big part of the words. Also I have a life-sized cardboard version of Swedish Judas in my room (I'm moving in with my girlfriend @furciferangeli rn so ya better believe Judas is coming with me. I showed her the thing and she has a giant crush on him as well, so he is now ✨OUR✨ cardboard husband).

I am so mentally ill about Chriscariot (Jesus/Judas) that I wrote a very short angsty-ass fic in Russian about them at some point, but I've only showed it to the aforementioned girlfriend so it's just chilling in my notes app for now✌️

My blog was even named after JCS: it was originally scripturethumpinghack from the line "He's just another scripture-thumping hack from Galilee" from "Then we are decided", a duet between Caiaphas and Annas (it was only included in the st Petersburg version and the movie, it's not even in the original album), but I decided it would be easier for my ADHD brain to remember my usernames if I had them the same across the board :) I also had a TikTok account called jaded-mandarin I think, but I don't use it anymore for reasons of Russia lol
