Hey yall this is a PSA from me, a forgetful fool re: medication.

Maybe this should just go without saying and im alone in my hubris, but in case it needs said:

If you can help it, if you have any kind of influence in the matter, DO NOT SKIP DAYS/DOSES OF YOUR MEDICATIONS. DONT DO IT. DONT TRY TO "RATION" THEM, DONT FORGET AND NOT TAKE THEM LATER*, TAKE YA MEDICATIONS AS FREQUENTLY AS NEEDED.

Like, insulin, blood pressure meds, meds that physically regulate things, this is pretty obvious i guess. But things like antidepressants, antianxiety, antipsychotics and mood stablizers, they can and do affect you physically to go cold turkey for a couple days.

In true space cadet fashion, I forgot ro reorder my antidepressant, Impulse Control- controller, and CNS Stimulant (my Brain Focus Good med), so the last two days have been, uh, Hell.

I'm medicated now and supplied for another month, but even now a good two hours after the fact my body feels physically horrible. Best way i can describe it is like the outermost layer of my skin feels like it cant recieve physical sensation. Or like, when you make "Horse Lips", and that tingly feeling in your lips but all over your face and body. Add to this some serious nausea and splitting headache, and god damn its a bad time.

TLDR, I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy, (save for people/powers that restrict peoples access to perscription medication, i really really do wish this on them) and for the love of god set up calendar reminders or work with your doctor/pharmacy/support system in your life to make sure you never run out your medications.

*(If youre unsure about whether you should take a med after a certain amount of time, call your pharmacy and ask if it is still safe to take them. If you take multiple doeses in a day, it might not be safe to take two doses close together. But still ask!! And ask as well if you need to take your next dose differently, sometimes they have directions for future doses.)
