Silas seemed very comforted by her response, it wasn't often someone made such a big promise to him. Usually when his fellow Zorua's made such promises they quickly broke them. Maybe it was the fact Rue was a stranger... or maybe it was that he was extremely naive but he trusted her word. Shakily he stood back up, this time he looked much more confident. However, as soon as his starting word left his mouth his ears perked up. He heard... something. Someone, he knew someone had been lurking around. But he never expected it to be her so soon.

Silas quickly froze in fear... he wasn't supposed to be out here. He REALLY wasn't supposed to be out here. The last time he was out here he ended up battered and bruised, barely able to let out a plead for mercy. Even so, he turned to the familiar figure who had approached him. It was his 'Mother', Seance. Though she smiled at him, he knew that expression was one of pure rage. She was beyond angry, he was just thankful Rue was present... that was the only thing keeping her at bay for right now.

The ghost loudly scolded him. {"Did you not learn anything? Did the last time really not get it in your head? You really are stupid."} She scoffed before, waving a hand at Silas. {"I'll deal with you later."} Seance seemed thankfully disinterested in him, she wasn't going to waste her time on a lost cause. After all, no matter how many times she corrected him he always did the same things. Over and over again, never learning.

"Why are you meddling with my child? Do you locals not learn to leave us alone?" Her accent was much more apparent than Silas' however... unlike him. Her sentences were much more well put together and clear, "Actually." She cheerfully hummed.

"Tell me little one, do you have any Zoura in you?" She studied Rue for a moment before letting out a chuckle. "Well, I don't think that really matters with a pup as beautiful as you." Easily she knelt down beside Rue. "So... let's get to know each other, hm?"

"Is she around here somewhere? Are you an orphan? Someone as cute as you should watch out, I heard there's an absolutely gorgeous fox around here who loves to adopt little stray pups like you~ If you aren't careful she might just snatch you up for her own." "Though I wouldn't blame her for doing so," She reached out to stroke Rue's hair with her claws. Her touch felt more chilling than anything, "You have such beautiful and fiery hair and... Oh! Honey-coloured eyes. You're so gorgeous, I don't have one like you~" She thought for a moment, muttering to herself. "Though... I already have six pups. Perhaps I could replace one... yes. I'd get rid of my annoying little fox but." She sighed, "I need him! He's too good at killing things with that illusion of his. Maybe pup #2 or #3... hmm... oh yes... #2 is perfect."

→ Seance, The Mother of Zoruas is now available for asks. However, she seems more interested in Rue at the moment. → Silas is unresponsive for now... another pup has been brought along with Seance.

tried to yell at a god and then got their ass killed immediately

got attacked by zeus and then turned into a dolphin

accidentally bound her soul to the underworld because she ate pomegranate seeds from her mom

i'm not even kidding i almost mentioned house having a mental tier list of duckling trusting earlier!! just couldn't find a smooth way to incorporate it into the post

the one he trusts most to keep her safe is begrudgingly cameron, but the one he's most COMFORTABLE with handing her over too is chase (who is his adopted pup and therefore who he is biased to). because like chase is a goober but also in house's omega brain he's family, and with family comes inherent inclinations. family does NOT mean that harm from within is impossible -- house is well aware of this via his own father -- but the hindbrain is not ruled by logic and by that point in time house learns which battles to pick when it comes to the hindbrain instincts/urges/feelings

thirteen also has this bias working in her favor too so she's right behind chase when it comes to house's preference on handing off his pup to a duckling.

house also trusts foreman to keep her safe but also doesn't anticipate a huge degree of comfort on foreman's OR giselle's end (name reveal) plus foreman would get ticked off having to babysit at work. the least trustworthy are taub (cue house insult of taub giving an infant a complexion by pointing out her flaws, at which taub just rolls his eyes) and kutner (who house does like but. what if he's holding her and they get close to a defibrillator. kutner's silly medical moments are great only when house DOES NOT HAVE PERSONAL STAKES, I.E. HIS DAUGHTER)

Hey! I think i need to say some stuff abt my sketch requests :)

This is in no way kinkshaming, you do you, but I’ve been getting *a lot* of sketch requests that feel like thinly veiled fetish things, and I just wanted to say, i’m really not okay with that. I know I do a lot of silly requests, and sometimes the line between fetish and silly can be kind of vague so maybe i‘m just being overly cautious, but some of these don’t feel silly at all, they feel like something else, and it makes me really uncomfortable.

Again, i love doing sketch requests, they’re super fun and i’m not gonna stop doing them, but I would appreciate y’all being a little less weird in my inbox. If you’re not sure, pls just check my request rules and try to stick to stuff that falls in line with that. Again, i like doing silly requests so don’t stop sending the silly stuff, but i’m gonna start being a lil more discerning abt the ones I go through with. Some of the requests I’ve gotten recently have been really uncomfortable and I just really don’t want that in my inbox.

Btw I was talking to Kiddo about social rules because we're both autistic and it doesn't come naturally to either of us but I have 25 years experience on them so I have some useful tips

And as proof of that: in that conversation I realised what neurotypicals mean when they say we "make everything about us"

When they're talking and we interject "fun facts" or start talking about something related to what they're saying we mean:

"I am showing interest in you and your interests by engaging with them and showing I'm listening by adding information"

From their perspective we are stomping over their turn to talk and making it our turn and therefore making it about us

Conversation example:

NT: my favourite animal is sharks

Autistic person: with some sharks species the shark pup that hatches first hunts the others and eats them while being incubated inside the mother

Autistic person perspective: I have shown interest in you by giving you information about a topic you have shown interest in

NT person's perspective: wow they made my favourite animal a time for them to show off instead of letting me talk when it was my turn

It's doesn't matter if it's "on topic" or "relevant to the person" if it's when it's their turn to be the focus of the conversation

Like I know there is a bit more to it but this is the first time in 39 years I have understood the accusation "you're making this all about yourself"
