Being caught up with things is just so distressing, like almost worse than not being caught up with things and trying to avoid spoilers, cause like, what do you mean there’s no more story?? What am I supposed to do with myself now??

Heya! Hope today is treating you well!
Have you ever played/heard of Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door? I recently rewatched a playthrough and am curious how your version of the characters would react to the Shadow Queen, the fight against her, and the aftermath?
Hello! 😁
Oh, I must say I haven't, but I heard lots of awesome things about it! πŸ‘€ It's apparently considered as being among the more serious and mature Mario games, and I'm all here for it. πŸ‘
The Shadow Queen concept alone is SO interesting, omg!! The idea of Peach being possessed by this evil entity and the resulting persona looking like a much darker version of the Princess is simply genius, and I love it. πŸ–€πŸ‘Œ
I would need to familiarize myself a bit more with the context of the game to better understand the malevolent spirit's goals and motivations, but I can already imagine how distressing this would be for everyone involved, Mario especially. πŸ˜” If I were to personally tackle this subject at any point, I would establish him as being the only one who can actually stop her, but also tragically show him as being utterly unable to do so. Battling the Princess and risking hurting her would demand too much out of him. πŸ’” And so he would try pacifically reasoning with her instead, to his own risk and detriment.
I'm imagining a scene where the Shadow Queen would land a particularly harsh blow, and seeing her weakened friend struggling to stand would be the element triggering Peach's awareness like a ringing bell. The real, final battle wouldn't be between the Queen and Mario; but between the unwanted parasite and the true host fighting for the man she loves. πŸ’₯πŸŽ‡πŸ’—
