When Reader returned to Liyue, Cloud Retainer, Moon Carver, Madame Ping, Mountain Shaper and Ganyu protected Reader during their journey to Sumeru.

Still, she let Dehya and Reader get water and food.

During his observations, he noticed, that Reader didn't do anything wrong. They were a normal, tired person. Cyno heard, how Reader cry themselves to sleep, missing their home and friends.

He helped Dehya fight with a group of eremites, who tried to capture Reader.

But, somehow, Reader managed to avoid every patrol.

She was so devastated, when Fake Creator gave Dottore a title of Personal Physician. She can't understand, why someone like him wasn't punished.

So, she wasn't sure, that Reader did something wrong. Maybe, it's an opposite, and Reader are a good person.

Nahida gave Collei instructions on where to take Reader, when she met them.

Collei managed to get Reader away from Forest Rangers patrols. Thanks to Collei, Reader's 'trip' to Vanarana went almost peacefully, except a run in Cyno.

She, out of curiosity, talked to some Fontaine citizens, after Fake Creator got to Teyvat. And she learned, that not everyone are happy for having Creator back.

Charlotte even managed to talk to Furina about Fake Creator. And, let's just say, even commas in Furina's speech were swear words.

When Charlotte met Reader, she almost interrogates them for an interview. Charlotte learned everything about Reader's journey so far. She decided to keep the information for now. If time comes, she will use it.

Chevreuse

She is also on Reader's side.

She does observe Reader's behavior. So far, Reader didn't break any of Fontaine's laws.

When Neuvillette became more restless is searching for Reader, some people from Fleuve Cendre wanted to hang Reader. This way they would escape Neuvillette's wrath and Reader won't suffer through torture. Chevreuse stopped them, saved Reader and started a meeting with everyone, who lived in Fleuve Cendre. The same meeting, that end in Navia and Spina di Rosula (and Furina) took Reader to Melusines' village.

A/N: This ended up being different from what I first planned, but I still the final result. This all started with silly (but not so innocent) conversation between friends so... yeah.

“Tighnari!”

The fennec opened his eyes wide and perked up his ears as Cyno’s voice finally reached him. Tighnari wasn’t sure for how long he had been daydreaming, but it should’ve been a while based on how troubled Cyno looked. “Sorry, I… ahm, dozed off for a second. You were saying?”

“The… pot, Nari. I think it’s-”

“Oh, right. Ahah…” Tighnari chuckled nervously, picking up the pot and pouring the water to finally brew his so-needed tea. As soon as the boiling water bathed the leaves, Tighnari took a deep breath, inhaling all the sweet scent. Yes, this was definitely going to help him. “If I knew you were coming over, I’d have prepared something else,” Tighnari said, back to his regular tone as he served Cyno a cup of the freshly brewed tea.

“You know there is no need,” the general replied to him, gently taking the cup in his hands before blowing some air to cool it off. “I just decided to check up on you because… you know, we are in that time of the year and you could…”

What was he saying, Tighnari asked himself, unable to keep paying attention to any other word. All he could focus on was how soft Cyno’s lips looked at that moment and how much he wanted to kiss him. With the steaming cup resting in front of him, Tighnari rested his head on his hand with a lost gaze on his eyes. Cyno’s voice was so distant that he could barely hear it, much less make some meaning out of whatever he was saying.

“You are doing it again,” Cyno muttered coldly, shaking his head in disapproval as he sipped from the cup.

When the scolding reached him, Tighnari nearly jumped out of his seat. “W-what? Doing what again? I’m not doing anything!” He protested, sounding as offended as possible.

Cyno blinked a few times with a puzzled look on his face. Tighnari sank his teeth into his lips, he knew he messed up his act this time. 

“You’re… staring at me. A way more than a normal amount, if I may add.”

“So? Can’t I look at my partner?” Tighnari hissed, feeling the heat spreading across his face - which he tried to hide behind the cup as he pretended to drink the tea. Cyno chuckled and, archons, how Tighnari liked the sound of that. He could feel a shiver running up his spine, bad enough to make him flinch.

Tighnari watched with great care as Cyno placed his cup down and leaned forward, gazing back at him with half closed eyes. “Nari, you don’t have to… go through it alone. I can help you,” Cyno mumbled softly, reaching for Tighnari’s hands and holding them into his own.

Ugh… this was going to be a lot harder than he first expected it to be. “You don’t need to talk about it as if it is something important.” Tighnari looked down, embarrassed by the way Cyno addressed the matter.

During the beginning of the year, more specifically throughout January and February, the fennec foxes had their mating season: a time to find their partner, have kits and start a family. In Tighnari’s case, as he wasn’t an actual fennec fox, this time of the year just made him more… desperate.

He didn’t remember having trouble dealing with previous mating seasons, it was always something simple and that Tighnari could take care of by himself. But ever since Cyno came into his life, it became harder and harder to get rid of that needy feeling - nothing seemed to be… enough.

“It’s you I’m talking about and you are definitely important to me,” Cyno said, tightening the grip around Tighnari’s hands. Cyno knew very well what he was suggesting, all the pros and cons (was there any?) of his offer.

Tighnari averted his gaze, feeling the back of his throat going dry. To accept that was to admit that he was no better than a wild animal, that he couldn’t even fight some raw desires. He was better than that - he had taken care of it before and he knew he could do it again. He just… needed to find something else - of course, other than Cyno - to get himself going.

i think kvthm left an impact and will never truly leave the popular genshin ship sphere content creation considering how quickly it has risen and how "canonical" it is but i do feel bad and guilty seeing u and the other anons talk about sumeru and fontaine bc while sumeru has brought me so much joy and i dont think i'll ever stop thinking about it i am also super excited for what fontaine has in store, for the plot and the characters and all the new. i love lyney to death, i love neuvilette and navia and cloridine so so so much and fell for them as hard and fast as i loved tighnari and collei and alhaitham and cyno when sumeru first came out. none of the nations feel like "home" to me bc im easily attached to at least one character from each region and i go back to each one from time to time and each character from said region is deeply important to me. this is just my perspective from one of the people that "moved on" from sumeru: i will never stop loving sumeru and all the content that is related to it but i have space in my heart and my empty brain for all the fontaine cast as well (but now reading ur guys stuff i do feel guilty for that even tho it is just a stupid emotion)

20. Your very first fandom?

The kpop fandom. I've been a kpop fan for like over 12 years now, which is wild to think about! I'm definitely not an insane kpop stan, and completely understand it's not for everyone, but I do really enjoy the music. My favorite group is BTS, but SHINee, 4MINUTE, and BIGBANG were the groups that got me into kpop and I still adore them (RIP 4MINUTE and BIGBANG). I'm also a big EXO and Mamamoo fan. I'm also a casual listener to groups like Stray Kidz, TXT, and ATEEZ. Yeah kpop was definitely my very first fandom.

Fairy Tail! It was one of the very first anime I ever watched and I really grew to love the characters. (Also Gray Fullbuster wreaked absolute HAVOC on little high school me LMAOOOOO). I was big big big into the fandom back then, but haven't kept up with it as much. But I still hold such a soft spot for the show and I definitely credit it for getting me into anime!

Hahaha I mentioned this on my main blog, but thanks to my lovely moot, Bee (@goodmorningawfulbye), I've now gone down the rabbit hole for the games Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail lmaoooo. I had absolutely no idea what they were (although I had heard the name Genshin Impact like once or twice). But I kept seeing these beautiful/handsome characters pop up from her reblogs and I just became SO CURIOUS. LIKE WHO ARE THESE BEAUTIFUL ANIMATED PEOPLE???? And so I fell down the rabbit hole. I'm still a little afraid to play either game because listen, League already tempts my wallet enough as it is, and I don't need gacha games to add to that, but it has still been a lot of fun to learn about the games and the characters and I'm still curious about both games when it comes to the lore.

What's also funny is, because of this, I've also found some other forms of entertainment. One of the English VAs, Alejandro Saab (who voices Cyno in Genshin and Jing Yuan in Honkai) is also a VTuber by the name of CyYu, and he's really entertaining! He plays games with the other VAs for those games quite often (along with other cool people) and sometimes he'll even talk about behind the scenes stuff when it comes to being a VA (no spoilers for the games or anything though). He will also occasionally break out his Jing Yuan voice (which GOD BLESS B/C THAT VOICE IS A+++++) or his Cyno voice (which is also excellent, just in a very different part of his register), or he'll give unique voices to different characters in the games he plays (ex: his recent playthrough of the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake) and it's very easy to see why he's a professional VA! He's extremely talented!

One could argue that Bennett and Razor are children as well, but I'm a little more lenient and will be fine with aging them up or making them look more grown.

Personality Typing:

I have made posts about Socionics which is a personality typing system. If you’re familiar with MBTI, then you might have an idea about this sort of thing, but I don’t really like talking about MBTI since there’s a lot of misleading information about it online—basically if you Google it, the top results (like 16personalities) won’t give you accurate (very far from accurate) information. And 16personalities is the place most people learn about it from so I prefer not to engage with people online about it.

Basically the best place to go to learn about MBTI, Socionics, Enneagram, and other typing systems is Personality Database. It’s actually pretty fun because it has pages on almost everything in media and real life. Most of what I have learned is through trying to find out what types my favorite characters are. It gets messy and people are always arguing but that’s the good thing about it. It’s mostly just a good place to get into it and it can point you in the direction of better resources.

There’s still a ton of stuff I don’t know or understand and I’m still learning, but I like to go on Pdb just to see what people are saying. There’s still misunderstanding about MBTI/Meyers Briggs, but they don’t misuse it by typing by letters (like 16p). Instead they type by FUNCTIONS. If someone is shown to be typing by letters, they usually get called out and are told that they’re supposed to be typing by functions.

I can make more posts about it if people want, but I’ll end it here for now.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, let me explain.

After the Sumeru update and my first rant to HoyoVerse about the characters and their skin tones in a previous post, I didn’t think it could be worst, right ? How foolish of me to underestimate Hoyoverse’s bs.

Now, first of all, we all know that there’s a leaked character named al-haitham, right ? And he’s from Sumeru, which is probably inspired from Sumer, basically old Iraq. What you probably didn’t know is that this Character is heavily inspired by the muslim scientific thinker Ibn Al-Haytham, which was alive around a thousand years ago in the region of Sumer.

Then, let’s see Cyno, our pretty boy. He, on the other hand, is heavily inspired by Egyptian mythology, for his costume resembles Anubis, an important character in these myths.

We also have Tighnari (or sum i forgot the name sorry) who has fennec ears, in reference to the fennex fox who lives in North Africa.

Plus, look at this architecture

Maybe it’s just me but it has very heavy ressemblance to a mosque or any islamic architecture

And I’m not even talking about Dori’s outfit, which is, in my opinion, heavily inspired by Aladdin, a problematic movie. Her clothes are very stereotypical too (the shoes, the pants etc.)

PLUS, the scenery doesn’t ressemble the middle east at all ! Surely it was supposed to be a weird mix of a tropical forest and a desert. The thing is, they used a south asian scenery while we were supposed to have a middle eastern one. Heck, it doesn’t even make sense to mix the two regions!

So, to resume it. HYV took inspiration from different cultures, countries and even a religion only to whitewash the characters from the said nations and to regroup them as a single nation. At least, that’s my point of view.

Look, I loved Genshin Impact so much, enjoying the stories, the quests and characters. But now, it’s pretty disappointing seeing a game you loved be stereotypical about your own culture (I’m Iraqi and muslim). I just wanted to share my opinion, I don’t mind having criticism, as long as it’s respectful.

Ok this is genshin impact told by someone who has only seen the game on tumblr.

Alright let's start off with the plot. So there are these twins right? And they're going about their normal lives doing twin things when suddenly an evil guy starts doing evil guy shenanigans. The twins decide this shit can't go on so they decide to murder him. But he's like super duper powerful so they have to split up. One has to go and collect a bunch of wishes so they can wish him dead and the other has to go around pulling allies (making friends). But the friends twin isn't very good so they have to get people to like pity them just to be their friend (bad way to start a friendship btw). So they split up and that's where the game starts.

There are also a few different characters in genshin, we have these two as the main guys, the twins who crave murder. Though it should be noted that the girl twin (we'll call her genshin while the boy is called Impact) sometimes changes her hair into a ponytail and switches her outfit. Impact might do this too idk.

There's a guy called Child (why does his parents hate him with that name??) who is either very popular or universally hated, there seems to be a bit of a divide here.

There's someone with very long bunny ears.

There's the evil evil bad man with the big hat, this guy! He is the ultimate enemy who wants to end the world or something. Who if you call his name he immediately zaps himself to your location so y'know don't do that.

There may or may not be a venti guy (idk if that's someone's name or if someone likes coffee.

8. Favorite nation?

Of the ones we’ve seen so far...that’s actually really hard fkshfsjkdfd I love Mondstadt and Liyue for different reasons! But I think the wide expanse of Liyue puts it a bit ahead of Mondstadt. There’s so many different sub regions to Liyue, and I also adore the Adepti and all of the lore of the region.

For unreleased nations, very excited to see Sumeru, since it has the world famous academy (that Lisa attended!) and seems to be the central place for academics to converge (and maybe we’ll get to see Collei and Cyno?).

11. Least favorite element?

I mean. We know very little about Dendro (and also I despise dendro slimes, forgot about those in my earlier answer about least favorite enemies) so it’s definitely down there...

Hydro would be the other contender but I don’t really dislike it...in fact Mona’s showing me how useful it can be! But it feels boring to me compared to the others. Mona is the first interest Hydro character I’ve built (sorry Barbara) so that might be part of it, since it’s only recently I’ve found a Hydro char I like.

13. Favorite enemy?

Well, the slimes are very cute!!! And very susceptible to getting Venti’d lol. They kind of make little globby sounds too when they bounce around which is great. Slimes are just baby. And fun to smash.

Additionally really love the design of Andrius/Boreas, who is a big ol’ wolf spirit (he adopted and raised Razor actually!) and Dvalin/Stormterror who is a BIG DRAGON. I do not much enjoy fighting either of them though (but I do prefer fighting Boreas to Dvalin dfsjkhfdasjk).

Boreas is massive, btw. I think he’s like twice as tall as the tallest playable character. Big boy. He’s a friend but he fights you weekly to help with your training :)

Dvalin is even bigger than Andrius, he’s a huge dragon, a beautiful friend!!! You fight him cause he got corrupted by evils ): idk why you fight him repeatedly...that’s not explained really fhkdaasdk but fighting him the first time saved him!

35. A random headcanon.

I headcanon that archons losing their Gnosis doesn’t really affect their powers much. Like, Zhongli could still make huge earth pillars if he wanted to, and possibly even still make Mora, but he decides not to do these things. After all, during the Archon Wars, he was still crazy powerful (and I believe made some of the earth spears before he won the war?). But for Zhongli in particularly I kind of HC he actually made himself a real Geo Vision, which he’ll mostly use rather than his own powers in order to seem more mortal. This is because unlike Venti’s fake vision which does not glow in game, Zhongli’s seems to glow. It’s kind of a small thing that will never come up in my fics or anything but you know.
