ive heard no one talk about this but remember in the first season of the umbrella academy where allison was driving to see vanya and like there were the voice overs of her rumors? like a bunch of them were about her daughter and stuff but theres was that one that just stood out to me and it went "i heard a rumor that you loved me"

i dont even know why it stood out to me like that, ive never been in love or anything like that but wanting someone to love you that badly and NEEDING that love is just a concept that they shouldve explored?? even if it wasnt with her ex husband, but if she did that with a boyfriend before or even multiple people in her life, maybe even just to make friends. i feel like its all about how she was raised by reginald, with no love from a parent, having him make her and her siblings all rival against each other to get approval from him. it fucked all of them up so that they barely even know what real love is

And he thought he had problems because "dad sent me to the moon". Well, honey, dad locked your brother in a mausoleum for hours, made your sister (who you're in love with, creep) told your other sister that she was just ordinary and put her on medication for her whole life, and got one of your brothers killed during your stupid missions. The same brother who was locked in a mausoleum was also kidnapped and beaten, sent back in time against his will and he ended up fighting in a war, falling in love, losing his love, and coming back to the present with PTSD and no one even realized he was gone or believed that he was finally clean. When they looked at him all they saw was a useless junky who had stupid ideas and sold his father's things for drug money. That same brother saved your life at a fucking RAVE that you went to because you were all pissy about being on the moon. He also died at that rave. He went into the afterlife and was told that someone was waiting for him. He thought it was Dave. The Dave no one knows about because no one noticed he was missing. But NNOOOOOO it was your abusive, sadistic, bastard of a father....
