[via Reuters] Two explosions killed more than 100 people and wounded scores at a ceremony in Iran on Wednesday to commemorate top commander Qassem Soleimani who was killed by a U.S. drone in 2020, Iranian officials said, blaming unspecified "terrorists".

Iranian state television reported a first and then a second blast during a crowded anniversary event at the cemetery where Soleimani is buried in the southeastern city of Kerman.

An unnamed official told state news agency IRNA that "two explosive devices planted along the road leading to Kerman's Martyrs' Cemetery were detonated remotely by terrorists".

State television said that at least 103 people had been killed and 211 others injured, making it one of the worst such attacks in Iran, which has faced similar incidents in the past from various groups, including Islamic State.

Crowley and Aziraphale Fell are just two typical at-odds doctoral students fighting over a university library study room, when they get caught up in an illicit science plot with mind-controlling formulas brewed by an evil chemistry dean! There are Potions! Science labs! Creepy Surveillance! Corporate crap! Libraries and librarians! Sushi! Audited classes! GRADES and FINAL RESEARCH PAPERS! Wheee! Mwhaha!

Anyway: will Aziraphale and Crowley stop fucking long enough to beat the devil and save the day? Or will the formulas change them in ways they never dreamed possible? A Human AU (but also a monster/creature AU).

CHAPTER EXCERPT:

Yeah, a cool snake wouldn’t worry about a confrontation with Aziraphale, soft English Lit toff who probably only slept with old books, or maybe only old book characters. A snake would only long to sink its teeth into a calf — or maybe a shoulder, or forearm, or how about one of those tempting thighs — no! Not biting! Doing something else snaky, like attempting to crush the life out of his prey. By winding around those broad shoulders or that belly and squeezing…wait, that wasn’t better. That was worse. Crowley cut off all thoughts of snakes. And broad shoulders. And bellies and thighs, damn it.

Mmm, from chapter 1 it was probably Druvis' entrance scene. The heel either fell too quickly, too slowly or straight up dropped on Vertin's head. It was a bit hard to have Vertin catch it with one hand and Druvis to drop it in the exact position. They had a good laugh, especially when it inevitably fell in Vertin's face, poor Vertin, she truly met her mother in that moment.

Speaking of mothers, not nearly as repeated but the "So you have a mother" scene had to be repeated because Vertin would laugh, therefore making Regulus laugh as well.

I believe from chapter 3 there would've been a lot of scenes that had to be done again but I'm not sure which, maybe Vertin fighting with the worms or the end scene because a kid would end up tripping.

Chapter 4 was DEFINITELY Lilya's scene, Mesmer was too scared of the crystal so it had to be made countless times so nothing would harm either actress. And maybe during the 7 hour speech Madam Z had because girl forgot some words. The entire speech didn't appear but you could hear her in the background struggling to remember some words.

And also the ping pong scene, accidents happen.

Chapter 6 surprisingly had few bloopers if you don't count Isolde's obvious pining for Klara every single scene they're in. Oh, and Marcus' stuttering that had to be covered by Madam Hoffman.

Chapter 7 was the silliest. 37 had a rough time not blushing or stuttering and controlling her eyes around Sophia, and during the games to get to Apeiron she slipped and made Vertin fall with her. The scene is somewhere on the internet and they haven't recovered.

Or Kakania hitting the door and then falling forward because of whatever physics followed that door.

Something I read in Dr. Laura Anderson's book "When Religion Hurts You" is that healing - from any kind of trauma - involves returning to a felt sense of safety.

I don't know how return to a felt sense of safety when we're in the 5th year of a pandemic, witnessing multiple genocides, living under capitalism and colonialism, as the planet is burning.

I keep reading posts about how the solution to despair is organizing and getting in community, but I don't feel safe in my community. How could I feel safe when the virus that disabled me with ME/CFS is still spreading unchecked, I have a suppressed immune system, most people's vaccines aren't up to date, and almost no one is masking anymore?

"Build community." As a traumatized autistic person, who has lost my community multiple times before? As an immunocompromised person, who is at risk in all public spaces? As a chronically ill person, who can barely do anything most days?

How do you build community when people ignore your access needs? How do you build community when people don't like or understand the way you communicate? How do you build community when no one around you shares your values, and you find it nearly impossible to maintain online connections?

My whole life has been me trying to reach out and build community, fucking it up or getting hurt, and winding up alone again and again.

u know that whole "theres a whole world out there we're unaware of" thing that usually gets applied to like, unheard of network tv shows, the zynternet, suburban family trends, etc? thats how i feel when i hear about like, in person events or whatever via some random reel, like showing some massive hyper specific event with like hundreds of people doing some activity or at some place w zero context or explanation, seemingly in america just like me, that i have never seen or heard of in my life. like where did this come from? was this always a thing? is this a thing that only popped up in the last 3 years like a lot of weird specific trends? im not judging im just confused 😭
