i have a few (though likely you've already seen them recommended)
Collector - Flynne (my personal favourite 03 fic!)
When Leonardo is abducted on his way home from babysitting Shadow, his family is left without a clue as to who could have taken him, or where he might be. Tested in body and spirit, chances for Leo's survival look bleak. But the turtles have made friends and allies over the years, and help comes from an unexpected source, giving them the chance to try and rescue their brother before it's too late.
And Call Me in the Morning - slipstream
It’s not like Don is doing this for fun, he reminds himself as the olive-skinned turtle makes up four fresh syringes and starts measuring out doses. He’s his doctor and his brother, he only has Mikey’s best interest at—
He blinks, eyes suddenly fixed on the band of cloth fixed tight to Don’s upper thigh. “Dude, what’s wrong with your leg?”
The Nothing - T33la
Everything is fine for Leo and his brothers. Things are really normal. And then, one day, things are not normal at all. Or, rather, they're normal for everyone else, but Leo knows that, piece by piece, reality is going missing.
-------------------------------------------------
Leo mashed the heels of his hands against his eyes and leaned his head into the old rat’s shoulder. He struggled to control his breath as a wave of fear crashed into him. What was wrong with him? What was happening to him?
Splinter wrapped his arms around Leonardo, holding his son and whispering consoling words. “It will be alright, young one. There is nothing to fear.”
But Leonardo could hear the thread of doubt in his father’s voice.
Promises, Promises - LunaD
There was a stillness in the air, a thick atmosphere of uncertainty choking out any other thoughts other than the singular question plaguing each brother. Where the shell was Don?
When Donatello goes missing, his brothers set out to search for him, unaware that they are racing against the clock for their brother's life.
The Afterward - halogalopaghost
Donnie's family have managed to get a cure for his double-mutation brought on by Bishop's outbreak virus, but he isn't out of the woods yet. The detransformation process is stalling, and now it's all the boys can do to keep Donatello alive long enough to figure out why.
Champion - ceraxxxx
They gotta be here somewhere. They have to be, they wouldn't miss this.
As the final of the Battle Nexus Tournament approaches, Mikey wants nothing more than to see his family in the audience, cheering him on towards what might be the single greatest moment of his life.
So what happens when he realizes that no one's there?
Based on the 'Big Brawl'-arc.
Underdark - Nekotsuki
(i almost hesitate to add this because i think it's on every rec list and everyone has read it but just in case-)
He’s hanging upside down in the middle of the great underdark, weighed down by a half hysterical turtle in the middle of a bunch of pipes and water and rock that are conspiring to kill us both off, and Leo still manages to sound like he Has A Plan.
I'm looking for some really good Hurt/Comfort, maybe a little angst, TMNT 2003 stories! Does anyone have suggestions for me?
(Any tcest suggestions can and will be ignored)

So, uhh, genuine question.
Do you recommend getting into Bleach, and if so how? Anime, Manga, a little bit of both, secret other thing? Your posts about it (and especially about AEIWAM) have definitely piqued my Interest, but I have pretty much 0 knowledge about the topic and heard very contradictory takes & reviews before, so I wanted to ask for your advice on the topic.
Cheers and have a nice day!
So a couple people have asked me this and I'm going to be as honest and fair about it as possible:
Bleach itself is mid.
...which is why the fan works KICK SO MUCH ASS.
My theory is that the ideal habitat for transformative fan work creators is mediocre series. It has to be good enough to be worth engaging with in the first place, but it's the plot holes and dropped developments and intriguing characters that don't get enough time and shoddy-to-unexplained worldbuilding that make nice little holes for fic authors and fan artists to crawl into and built a home, like sponges growing on a dilapidated subway car sunk into the Hudson river.
So yes. Bleach is mid. More under the cut:
It's also really two series: the manga and the anime. There's more anime than manga because bleach suffers from the late oughts horror known as "the filler arc" where the studio would make shit up while waiting for the author to catch up. Not ideal, but better than the current state of "cancelling a fully written five-season show after two because it wasn't making enough money for the oligarchy" but I digress.
To grade both the manga and anime on the Weeb-Ass-Shit scale:
Weeb: how familiar do you have to be with the tropes of anime/Japanese culture in general to be able to enjoy the series? This is one of the things Bleach does REALLY, REALLY WELL, in that you can go in knowing fuck-all about anime and have a good time, but the more you know, the more fun it is. My favorite thing Kubo does is that if you look up the meaning of the characters used in everyone's names, there is a TON of jokes, foreshadowing, themes etc. baked into every name. A+ work.
Ass: how much gratuitous fan service is there and how annoying is it? So. It's not the worst. But it's really, really obvious that Bleach is written and illustrated by a straight man who is hella into tiddies. As a bisexual, I can appreciate The Tiddy (and tbh, the men in Bleach have pretty great tits too), but there are a lot of humor bits about Kon being a perv/author stand-in, orihime has medically alarming knockers for a teenager and gets groped kind of a lot. There's also a predatory lesbian stereotype character in the early episodes, and some pretty awful transphobic caricature characters. The amount of horny isn't that much for a shonen, but it's pretty gross IMHO.
Shit: how well- made is this series?
Mixed. Both the manga and the anime (esp the recent Thousand Year Blood War arc) have some absolutely gorgeous art, banger character designs, and deeply entertainingly choreographed fights. It is really nice to look at.
Unfortunately, both also suffer really badly from pacing issues that are pretty much entirely the fault of the insane demands the industry puts on the artists. If you've ever read/seen a shonen manga/anime from the late aughts through early teens, you're familiar with this bullshit- fight scenes drawn out to absurd lengths, filler arcs while the animation studio waits for the author to catch up, repeated plot arcs, minimal focus on characterization, The Friendship Speech (TM) etc.
Pacing and repetitiveness are Bleach's main quality issues, but the art is pretty baller and the Japanese voice cast is pretty fucking great IMHO. (I have APD and have to consume shows by subtitles, so the sun is usually more legible for me than the dub).
If you are coming into Bleach from AEIWAM... You're likely to be a bit disappointed. I put a shitload of work into the worldbuilding because Bleach does not, I write almost exclusively slice-of-life character moments rather than big battles, and I have made some pretty fucking radical changes to some of the characters. An Elephant Is Warm And Mushy is an entirely different genre than Bleach, and that's ok, because fic usually is radically different than it's source material. But also be prepared.
TL;DR: Bleach is mid and that's ok! My fic is different than it and that is also ok! I still recommend it with the reservations of : it's prototypical of its time period and contains many of the gross tropes from that era. It is also very much a horror shonen, just to be clear. Fucked up shit happens on screen, mostly cannibalism! Which is great IMHO, but you should probably take a stroll through DoesTheDogDie.com for more specific trigger warnings before beginning.

General
This blog mainly focuses on Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact Cthulhu Mythos, and Honkai Star Rail, along with various original characters and other fandoms like Dragon Ball. The primary characters I often feature are Magnum Tenebrosum and Kiana Kaslana. While these two are the main focus, I also occasionally highlight other muses and themes, depending on my current interests and creative direction.
Selectiveness
-I’m a semi-selective roleplayer and I will only roleplay with mutuals. I will kindly ask for you to please check and make sure that we’re mutuals before interacting with me, if you do not then I will ignore you. If you persist, then it’ll earn you a block.
-Please do not reblog threads you are not apart of or reblog ooc posts. It’s rude to do, but feel free to like any thread or ooc post you want.
-This is a supportive and friendly space. I stand by my friends and fellow roleplayers, so if I notice any form of harassment, I won’t hesitate to block to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
-I don’t have exclusives since I know people come and go just as blogs do, but if we’re very close friends (or just roleplay a lot together) I don’t mind coming up with verses specifically for our muses.
Memes, Asks & Plots
-My inbox and IM are always open for asks, memes, chatting, plotting, etc.I’m all ears for whatever creative ideas you’ve got cooking.
-Reblog Karma? Nah: Here’s the deal - you don’t need to feel any pressure to reciprocate when sending asks. Feel free to reach out whenever the inspiration strikes, no strings attached! And as for me, I might reblog directly from you or the original source, depending on what’s easiest at the moment.
-Curious about my character? Got a question for me personally? Bring it on! I’m more than happy to answer most questions. Just a heads-up, in-character (IC) asks are a mutuals-only zone, but I’m open to all sorts of other questions, whether we’re mutuals or not. Though, I’ll be a bit selective with those.
Characters & Roleplay
-Ruby is Canon-Divergent and won’t be played any differently. Most other muses are played by how I interpret them.As for my other muses, they’ll be played by how I interpret them.
-Some muses have codenames, some use them, some don't. Really depends on the circumstances.
-All muses are multi-ship. Each ship takes place in its own verse.
-I love seeing new faces! Feel free to bring your OCs or canon characters into the mix. Just make sure there’s a short bio or some basic information available for them.
-Some of my muses are gonna be overpowered. If you don’t like the fact that you’re essentially going to be seeing deities and other powerful individuals in equal measure, then this blog is not for you.
An important thing to read, which is relevant for this blog, as taken from this.
Tumblr media
-My muses are multi-dimensional, capable of both good and bad deeds. Their actions are shaped by the tone and circumstances of each thread, keep that in mind. -No God-Modding, Please: Let’s keep our roleplay fair and fun for everyone. If god-modding happens, I will talk to you in a civil manner. It’s all about respecting each other’s characters and their stories.
-All Genres and Lengths Welcome: Whether it’s novella-style depth or light-hearted crack, I’m open to all kinds of roleplay. Bring on the variety!
-Slow and Steady Roleplaying: Just a heads-up – I’m on the slower side when it comes to replies. But don’t hesitate to nudge me for a response. I promise to get back to you, though it might take a bit of time.
-Real Life Comes First: Remember, the real world keeps me busy with work and daily commitments. So, please bear with me if my responses take a while.Thank you for understanding.
NSFW & Triggers
-Mature Themes Ahead: This blog features mature content, including torture, gore, and sexual themes. If these topics are not your cup of tea, feel free to use the unfollow button. Or, if you prefer, let me know and I’ll tag these posts for easier navigation.
-NSFW Content and Tags: Most stuff NSFW occurs on Sunday, or as we all collectively call it, Sinday. Any and all Sinday content and threads that happen are considered non-canon and will happen on @lewdforged.
-Trigger-Free Zone: Personally, I don’t have any triggers. However, I’m always mindful of the content I share and its impact on my followers.
-Approach to Angst: While I have a penchant for roleplaying angst, an overabundance has somewhat dimmed its appeal for me. So, expect it to appear only sparingly.
-Dealing with Anon Hate: Anonymous hate messages will mostly be ignored. I might post them occasionally, especially if I’m feeling a bit sassy, but they won’t get much of my attention.
-Drama-Free Space: Drama, should it arise, will be sidestepped or tagged accordingly. I’m all about maintaining a positive and enjoyable space here.
Icons
A special shoutout to Cloud-Ya, the amazing artist behind the HoV icons. Big thanks to them for granting permission to use their work.
Word from the Mun
Thank you for reading my rules, fam. My name is Joy Boy and it’s nice meeting ya. There won’t be many details on myself, but do know that I will answer most questions that are asked about me. I have a few mental disorders, but won’t say what they are.
That aside, I am here for the roleplay and stress relief, not for some petty drama and god knows what else, hence why I don’t associate myself with the RWBY Fandom and neither will I participate in any callout or otherwise drama either. Most of us are adults here, so let’s act like it.
Worry not, there is no password here and I will send in any myself once I read your rules as well.

!!! user ensemblesobgswhat are your favorite enstars stories !!?
I have to think for this one, hmm... My favourite stories have to beee...
In terms of enjoyability, and attempting not to have too much character bias, not in any order. Boldened are absolute favourites!
-Daydream & Lionheart are my all time favourite pieces of ansta writing, with an emphasis on Daydream. Lionheart has at least three translations online. I'm planning on re-reading two of those again just to compare them. I love an unreliable narrator. Sena really has been Leo's living unreliable narrator the whole time he's known him, hasn't he? Blackbird was good on a writing standpoint, but felt like a desperate attempt to get people to like and be normal about Wataru & Eichi, as well as telling us what we already know. At the same time, it did provide more insight into their mentalities, at least. Clown, Crown or whatever it was called was really nice also. - Both original main stories which I think every average ansta fan should read regardless of their length, although, the ! one is certainly of it's time. EnBasic: Element, Marionette, Crossroad, Meteor Impact, Checkmate, (Sorry for no Rocket Show! we're gonna read it for my friend's birthday!) Showtime, Dragon Fruit (Note to all viewers: don't read Marionette alone & think you know anything about Ex-valkyrie. PLEASE!), Easter Night, EP:Link, Christmas Live, Starry Night Festival, Beasts, Human Comedy (people focus too much on the valkyrie side of this and ignore rabits and it is disheartening, even if I understand why, from producers of them, given that rabits is far more unpopular in comparison, unrightfully yet understandably so. But what of the rest?), Book Fair, Victoria, Liar's Idol, Rainbow, Eccentric, Pleiades Night, Wonder Game, Biblio, Blood Banquet, Butler Cafe, Shinsengumi, Bouquet of Desire, Devils, Horror Night Halloween, School Festival ☆ Tamayori's Haunted Dollhouse, uum... those are the only ones that come to mind. I've read about 2wink and ryuseitai but scatteredly. In another universe, I produce them. EnMusic: Date Plan, Motor Show, Tempest, Night Club, Conquest, Next Door, Hot Limit, Neverland, Feather Touch, Bogie Time, Merry Xmas, Antique Legend, Burning Azaleas, Shinsekai, Obbligato, Astraea's Atelier, Romantic ? Date, Myriad of Colors and Flowers, Shards of Time: Black, Cruise, Grand Slam (I know it sounds crazy. The shotabait foot fetish event. Yes. But it has so many fucking good parts, and the epilogues are some of my favourite things ever.), Portrait, Nighthead, Stormcloud FUMBLE, Poltergeist, Parallel World, Xday (best climax), Absolute (I'm reading it with my dearest friends & I like it a lot so far! But I haven't finished so I won't embolden it. Mixed feelings about Raison d'être but generally it's so good I really love it. ALTERED CHANGED MY LIFE & KILLED MY GRANDMA. Bite-sized mix of both: -Aira: Episode 1 (Idol story), Do The Norm ft. Midori & Chiaki (I love you Midori! I love Noritama), -Tsumugi: This Senior is Prone to Worrying, Switch's introduction: "episode one", (Tsumugi FS1) Blue Hour's Spinning Song, Tsumugi's FS1 4☆ Story which recently came out on Eng, the eating one, "Delicious Happiness" ft. Midori, Episode 1, 2 & 3 of his idol stories, Go Basking in The Sun 3☆ story ft. Rei & Ritsu. -Others: HiMERU stuff. Episode 1 Chiaki Idol Story, Hiiro Idol story 2 ft. Aira, Black Swan ft. Mika & Tsumugi. (Madara FS2) Fates and Feast, Natsume FS2 4☆ Story. The 3☆ where ex-fine play together, Rinne's FS1. MANY Yuuta idol stories & 4/3☆ stories, especially in relation to his growth & Rinne. I like a lot of Anzu's monologues in the novels. I love this Natsuhokke 3☆ story. I like the early idol stories in general honestly. Baah!
Fun fact, I watched the anime before reading anything. My first story after the main story was Easter Night :-) though already interested in them, it cemented my love for switchvalk & their parallels in a square or even a more convoluted shape, each pointing at each other. I really recommend people read 3 stars of their favourites, you can find them with ease if you look them up, especially if they're from popular units. There's a lot of Really Good stories I haven't read but know all the context to and just have to get to, and good stories I have read that I just haven't mentioned whether purposefully because I don't think about them that much or because they slipped out of my mind (or blended together, or I technically didn't read them and just know everything that occurs or read a livetweet thread and I don't want to say a story is my favourite when I haven't read it in full even if stuff I really love comes from it, or I have mixed feelings that are too mixed for it to be a favourite).
I really adore Ansta's writing in spite of all of it's flaws, that's why it's not easy for me to give a simple response. Thank you for the question, sweet thing!

Every once in a while, I find myself diving into the world of digital art, and this time, I’ve created something special yet again—a fan art piece that brings a beloved character to life. It’s a thrill to revisit the colourful world of Strawberry Shortcake, a cartoon that has captured the hearts of so many with its charming characters and whimsical settings. This particular artwork, however, features a character who stands out for her grace, talent, and unique personality—Cherry Jam.
It’s not my first foray into the world of Strawberry Shortcake fan art. Some of my earlier creations for this series were fortunate enough to be featured on the official page of Strawberry Shortcake itself. That was a surreal moment, to say the least. To have my work appreciated by the very creators of the show was like receiving a warm hug of validation. It inspired me to embark on a creative journey: to illustrate this delightful series' entire cast of characters. Cherry Jam, with her enchanting persona, was next on my list.
For this artwork, I chose to focus on Cherry Jam as she appears in the 2009 series Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures. Her character design has always fascinated me; it perfectly blends elegance, vibrancy, and charm. Cherry’s deep violet-blue eyes are the first thing that draws your attention. They shimmer with a sense of wonder and kindness, framed by lashes that seem to carry the weight of her quiet wisdom. Her complexion is fair, adding to her ethereal aura. And then there’s her hair—a cascading waterfall of dark violet locks that seem to catch the light in ways that make it shimmer with hints of purple. It’s waist-length, flowing gracefully with the slightest movement, and the ends flip outward in a playful, carefree style. Her bangs brushed neatly to one side, adding a touch of sophistication to her youthful look.
Cherry’s outfit is another story altogether, one that speaks volumes about her personality and background. Her magenta headband, adorned with a delicate pink cherry blossom and a dangling cherry, is both adorable and symbolic of her pop-star roots. It’s a subtle nod to her fame, but it also ties her to the natural beauty of Berry Bitty City. The dress she wears is a work of art in itself. The upper half is a vibrant magenta that fades into a soft, pastel pink below the purple band at her waist. The band, decorated with another cherry blossom and cherry, cinches the outfit together, quite literally. Below this, the skirt features a playful pattern of magenta spots on a lighter background, adding a whimsical touch to her otherwise elegant appearance.
Her leggings are a bold choice—striped in shades of purple and neon pink, they scream confidence and creativity. They’re the kind of leggings you’d expect a pop star to wear, but they also carry an air of approachability, showing that Cherry isn’t afraid to mix fun with fashion. To complete the look, she wears magenta flats with a small bead embellishment on the outer corners and light pink soles. These aren’t just shoes; they’re an expression of her down-to-earth personality, a reminder that despite her celebrity status, Cherry Jam is just like any other girl who loves to feel comfortable and stylish.
But Cherry Jam is more than just a fashion icon or a beautiful character design. She’s a layered individual with a backstory that resonates deeply. I remember her first introduction in the series, in the episode “Starlight, Star Bright.” She arrived in Berry Bitty City as a pop sensation, a star from the big city who was used to the flashing lights and roaring crowds. Yet, beneath the glittering exterior was a girl yearning for something more—a simpler life, a chance to be accepted for who she truly was, not just the image the world had created for her. It was during her performance at the grand opening of the Market that Cherry discovered what she had been missing all along: a place where she could belong, where she could be herself.
Cherry’s decision to stay in Berry Bitty City wasn’t just a plot point; it was a turning point in her life. She traded the glitz and glamour of her celebrity lifestyle for the quiet charm of a small town, where she could build genuine friendships and reconnect with her passion for music on her terms. Becoming a music teacher was a natural step for her—a way to share her talent and inspire others while staying grounded. It’s a role that suits her perfectly, as it allows her to nurture the creativity of others while continuing to grow as an artist herself.
What I love most about Cherry Jam is her authenticity. She’s kind, thoughtful, and unassuming, despite her fame. There’s a sweetness to her that’s hard to ignore, a quiet strength that makes her stand out among the Berry girls. While some might expect a pop star to be a diva, Cherry defies those stereotypes effortlessly. She’s anything but snobby or self-centred; instead, she’s humble and approachable, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her calm and wise demeanour often makes her the voice of reason in the group, but she’s not immune to the excitement and fun that Berry Bitty City has to offer. Whether it’s joining in on a spontaneous adventure or sharing cookies with her friends, Cherry embraces the simple joys of life with open arms.
One of the things that makes Cherry so relatable is her struggle to find true friendship. Coming from a big city, she had always been surrounded by people who admired her for her fame, not for who she was. It wasn’t until she met Strawberry Shortcake and the other Berry girls that she discovered the meaning of genuine connection. Their friendship is a testament to the idea that true friends accept you for who you are, flaws and all. It’s a theme that resonates deeply, reminding us all of the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who see beyond the surface.
Another aspect of Cherry’s character that I admire is her love for the simple things in life. After years of living in the fast lane, she finds joy in the little moments—sitting in a comfy chair with a magazine, strumming her guitar on a lazy afternoon, or enjoying a quiet meal with her friends. These moments are a stark contrast to the chaos of her previous life, and they highlight her appreciation for the present. It’s a beautiful reminder to slow down and cherish the small blessings that life has to offer.
As I worked on this artwork, I couldn’t help but think about Cherry’s musical talent. Music is such an integral part of who she is, and it’s evident in everything she does. Whether she’s teaching her students, performing for her friends, or simply playing for herself, Cherry pours her heart into every note. She owns two guitars—one for casual playing and another for her performances—and her piano skills are equally impressive. Music isn’t just her profession; it’s her way of expressing herself, of connecting with others, and of finding peace.
Creating this fan art was more than just a creative endeavour for me; it was a journey into Cherry Jam’s world, an opportunity to appreciate her character on a deeper level. As I added the finishing touches to her hair, her dress, and her expressive eyes, I felt a sense of connection with her story. It’s a story of self-discovery, of finding your place in the world, and of embracing the things that truly matter. Cherry Jam isn’t just a character; she’s an inspiration, a reminder that it’s okay to let go of the things that don’t serve you and to pursue a life that aligns with your values.
Looking at the completed artwork now, I feel a sense of pride and fulfilment. Cherry Jam stands there, vibrant and full of life, her hand raised in a friendly wave as if to greet everyone who looks her way. The background, a lush garden of strawberries and flowers, serves as the perfect backdrop for her cheerful presence. It’s a scene that captures the essence of Berry Bitty City—a place where kindness, friendship, and creativity thrive. The vibrant colours and attention to detail in the artwork truly bring Cherry Jam to life, embodying the spirit of positivity and joy. This piece serves as a beautiful reminder of the importance of surrounding ourselves with things that bring us happiness and inspiration.
This artwork is more than just a visual representation of Cherry Jam; it’s a celebration of her character and everything she stands for. It’s a tribute to the joy she brings to the world of Strawberry Shortcake and the hearts of fans everywhere. As I sign my name at the bottom of the piece, I can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to bring her to life in my way. The vibrant colours and playful details capture Cherry Jam's essence perfectly, making this artwork a true reflection of her spirit. It's a testament to the impact fictional characters can have on our lives and the power of spreading positivity through art.
And so, another chapter in my artistic journey comes to a close. But this isn’t the end; it’s just the beginning. There are more characters to illustrate, more stories to tell, and more moments to capture. Cherry Jam is just one piece of the puzzle, a vibrant thread in the tapestry of Strawberry Shortcake’s world. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next. Each new creation is a stepping stone towards greater artistic heights, and I am excited to continue exploring and expanding my skills. The possibilities are endless, and I am eager to see where my creativity will lead me next.

Okay, I NEED to hear your thoughts on a few issues I have with SPOP (I also mention TOH a bit towards the end but mainly trying to focus this ask on SPOP). Also, it's long as hell, so if you want to answer it in multiple parts that's totally fair.
I know the writing of the show just generally speaking isn't the best, however the one thing I thought was executed best was the villains of the show.
Shadow Weaver was a cruel maternal figure in Catra and Adora's lives, even so to Glimmer in Season 4 when she had felt isolated from her friends (her father too, in the past). With a grand sacrifice in the names of who she practically considered her daughters, she had atoned for her actions throughout the series, but regardless, she left serious impacts on the characters' mentalities. Whether she was forgiven by the characters was left vague, as if they weren't too sure how they felt themselves.  I really liked that aspect, as the experience of mixed feelings when an abusive parental and/or authority figure dies can be very impactful for viewers. She was someone lustful for power and control, but I do genuinely think she had a soft spot for Adora at the very least, which is why she had tried isolating her from the others in her squadron so often. I think it was in an effort to harden her resolve so her potential wouldn't be wasted, though of course, this was not done in a positive or healthy manner.
Hordak attempted to conquer Etheria in an effort to be recognized by Horde Prime. But then he meets Entrapta, who helped him with repairing his disability aid (that being the First Ones tech to keep his body stable, the very thing Hordak was shunned and abandoned for by Prime) and receiving validation for the "imperfection" he referred to his disability as ("Imperfection is beautiful! At least, to me."). That was the inciting moment where his motivation and goals shifted, but due to Catra's actions — her attacking Entrapta, then fabricating a lie that he had once again been abandoned, and later on being unapologetically ableist and apathetic by removing his aid, the aforementioned tech, and having him literally crawl on the floor in pain before her to address her power over him — he returned to prior goals until Double Trouble spilled the tea and sent him on a rampage after Catra. (And yes, I haven't forgotten the scene where he cuts off her oxygen, but she's not shown to be an asthmatic or having any respiratory issues, so that's shitty yes, but not ableist. And that was in either S1 or early S2, before he had really encountered Entrapta, so that's another thing to keep in mind.) Skip through the Horde Prime mess, and he ends the series being sent to Beast Island to clean up according to Stevenson, whereas characters like Catra (who quite literally fucked more shit up than him somehow with the portal, nearly destroying the world) get off scot-free because...She got the heaping dose of writer's favoritism, I guess. Also his atonement for his actions was stated as Word Of God by Stevenson on Twitter, not explicitly in the show, so it's completely fair to take it with a grain of salt and/or have it be up to viewers' interpretation.
I'll also put Entrapta and Scorpia here real quick, but I'll keep it brief cause this is already so long. I think Entrapta is by definition chaotic neutral, where she will go to lengths and extremes in the name of science and personal interest, but doesn't care about the war or which side she appears to be on. Yes, she absolutely appears to be on the side of the horde by the end of S1, but exclusively because they offer the most tech for her to work with (that and the other princesses never appeared to be fond of her…); she never seems to pay the war any mind. I thought Scorpia was a decent enough character, I could tell from the get-go she would be eventually redeemed and while I don't think she's perfect, her redemption was leagues better than the other arc I'm thinking of…
I decided to put Catra as her own bullet point cause WHEW there's a lot. Catra as a character was objectively best when she was a villain. And considering how she crossed the threshold of "in too deep," beyond the lengths even HORDAK was willing to go (again, literally almost ending the world out of nothing but pure spite and hatred for Adora """abandoning""" her), all because she couldn't abuse Adora and blame her for everything bad that happened to her anymore, it was strong antagonist characterization. One that the writers poorly chose to just throw out the window at the last second for some Starco-esque endgame for fanservice/the creator's favoritism that DID NOT feel deserved. Yeah, Starco. I said it.
While having a relationship between two lesbians (if memory serves me right, feel free to correct me if one of them's sapphic) is very important for representation in media, Catradora had to have been one of the worst examples of good lesbian/WLW representation I've seen to date. It's toxic, it's abusive, and Adora's got some serious Stockholm syndrome with Catra being her abuser. It is genuinely unsettling how many people act like it's healthy and normal or will excuse it because "Catra has [Insert disorder/disability here] so the abusive behavior is justified" when explanations for behaviors =/= valid excuses. Adora for sure had PTSD but she never acted as irrational and cruel despite her upbringing.
And also, that is extremely ableist shit to say, too. Just because someone has a mental disorder or disability of some kind doesn't excuse them to just be a disgustingly horrible person to the people they claim they care about. If Catra REALLY loved and cared for Adora, we would've seen an effort on her end to change the shitty fucking behaviors she exhibited. But when Adora goes through hell and back to save her sorry ass, she goes right back to the abusive, manipulative, bitchy person she's always been. Hell, her "adorable confession scene" IS JUST HER MANIPULATING ADORA BY SAYING ADORA HAD CONSTANTLY ABANDONED HER WHEN SHE NEVER DID THAT. ONCE. Hearing the "just this once, stay" part at the end sounds like it came from an abusive ex begging Adora to get back together, not a heartfelt romantic gesture from a soon-to-be lover.
Not to mention the odd implications of Shadow Weaver being akin to a mother figure to BOTH of them (didn't she call them her children???) throughout their lives, as well as Kyle believing they, Lonnie and Rogelio to be his siblings, family, before Lonnie yells at him…Like, the fact even ONE of the squadron members saw the others as siblings ALONGSIDE S.W.'s maternal shtick, it's a huge weird ass red flag. I'm not gonna claim it's incest because I don't believe that was the intention by the writers, but they also heavily imply such with the aforementioned information the show provides...They should've just had Catra and Adora be friends from separate squadrons if they didn't wanna make it feel so icky (as if the abusive shit doesn't make the relationship gross enough). Lonnie yelling at Kyle saying "we were never a family" or whatever feels like the writers speaking through the character to justify Catradora being canon, especially with how the characters act around each other in S1 and in flashbacks. I have siblings, that's shit siblings do. Don't even get me started with Kyle and Rogelio dating in the end, either...Idc what ANYONE says, he literally stated explicitly that he viewed Rogelio as a brother for most of their lives, that makes me ill. I have gripes with both Steven Universe and The Owl House as well, don't get me wrong, but I feel Garnet/Rupphire and Lumity were both objectively better written lesbian/sapphic pairings (my personal favorite of the two being Garnet), as well as the positive and healthy representation lesbians and sapphics heavily deserve. The SPOP writers completely dropped the ball with the enemies-to-lovers bit, like, horribly. Catra post-S4 is just a horribly written """redeemed""" character who should've stayed bad to the bitter end ala S.W.
I feel like both SPOP and TOH's writing integrity is severely diminished when it comes to the Tumblr-humor thing you had mentioned in a previous post. I think if not for Eda, I genuinely wouldn't have continued TOH past the first couple of episodes because of it, and it only got worse over time, especially in the last couple of S3 episodes. Which one was worse, or if both were the same as far as the humor goes, I wanna know your thoughts. I haven't seen SPOP all the way through since about a year ago, but I feel like it wasn't as bad as TOH — at the very least, to my memory of the show, SPOP knew not to crack dumbass one liners in the midst of a genuinely serious moment.
I'll put this here as well, but if you can think of anything else to discuss PLEASE do so, I want to hear all the tea.
Oh my god Hi! So sorry for the late response!
I'll separate this into bullet points so it's easier to navigate
She-Ra's writing
Shadow Weaver
Hordak (+ Entrapta and Scorpia)
Catra(dora)
She-Ra and Representation (Double Trouble)
Ok so let’s get this out of the way first: I am not a fan of She-Ra, even on my first watch I heavily disliked it. I was one of the people that watched it in its original run, I tuned in right after season 2 was released, circa a week or so later. And even THEN, in 2019, as a wee little 15-year-old, who has JUST realized that I wanted to pursue writing as a career, I noticed just how inconsistent the writing is.
So, She-Ra’s writing, just overall writing, is something I’ve always had an issue with. A lot of the characters felt inconsistent. Frosta is the first example that comes to mind. She is a child, however, in season 1 she is presented as a mature, strict, amazing leader of an entire kingdom, however, later on, she’s just dumbed down to a “haha annoying child” for attempts at some incorrect-quote-esque dynamic and dialogue. You've mentioned it too with The Owl House and She-ra has the exact same problem, however, I'd say on a much more jarring and apparent level. With the Owl House, as annoying and out of pocket as these incorrect-quote-esque jokes are, they're still kids, they're children and I'd say The Owl House has a much more slice of life/comedy approach to its writing than what She-Ra intended to have. As I've said, with She-Ra it's more jarring, since it's more of a fantasy/adventure/action/drama type of show, at least that's what it was going for, the jokes stand out a lot more, and feel as though they're just haphazardly thrown in there for the sake of fan service. Which, in turn, makes the characters feel as though they lack dimension. Adora is my prime example of this, there have been so many instances where, for the sake of fan service, she has been dumbed down to the very popular "stupid strong golden retriever" type of character in a sapphic dynamic.
A character that stood out to me as one of the better-written ones is Shadow Weaver. Her dark and brooding nature was always interesting to me, not to mention Lorraine Toussaint did a fantastic job. Something I admire about her character writing is that they never made her abuse over the top, they never made her too loud or too abusive to the point you can point a finger and say "Well that's just a stereotypical abuser in media!", which, again, I really appreciate about the show. I won't say they made her realistic, but out of all the characters, I'd say she came closest to being such.
Hordak I didn't and still don't have much opinion on, his overall villain characterization and motivation are pretty standard, especially for, what's marketing itself as, a kid's cartoon. What did stand out to me, however, was his covert disability. Now what do I mean by covert? It's pretty clear he's disabled. Covert in terms of symbolism, I have not been able to find what actual disability his disability is supposed to represent, I've seen people interpret it as diabetes, I've seen people interpret it as an autoimmune disease, while I myself have interpreted it as a heart transplant/ heart disease and his disability aid as a pacemaker. As my grandfather was one of the first and longest-living people with a heart transplant + pacemaker in Croatia, I've seen many side effects of it and it aligns quite well with Hordak's disability. Though it didn't feel like blatant sympathy points (unlike some other character that I will talk about later), it gave him more characterization outside of being "a big bad villain guy". His and Entrapta's story is one that I found quite endearing and it felt like it flowed naturally, no pushing them together, no forcing it, it felt genuine and nicely paced. Scorpia is also a very sweet character, nothing much to say about her except I really enjoyed it whenever she was on screen. Her character design is one of my favorite's in the show and don't even get me started on Lauren Ash because she did a FANTASTIC job!
Catra though is an entirely different story. I never liked her. On any level. Her as a villain also didn't sit right with me, she never felt like a true villain and in the end never felt like a true "hero" or good guy, hell I can't even label her as an anti-hero. I can just label her as... Catra; a weak attempt to write a morally gray antagonist. Or rather, a lot of cliche dialogues and plot points jumbled into one of the antagonists. I think her weak characterization ties in with the fanfiction-esque style of writing I talked about earlier. I also can't sympathize with her character at all, not for a lack of trying or my prejudice, but because the writer's favoritism and the writer's sympathy are ALWAYS pushed onto Catra so much. The consequences of her actions are practically non-existent and when they are, they are framed as though it's the other character's fault (ie. Catra being alone after Adora left.).
What I mean by that is, most of the bad things that happen to Catra, do not happen to her because of something she did, but rather her circumstances, she just keeps doing bad things and gets away with it. There are no consequences for anything that she does. This might be a stupid analogy, but let's say I slap one of my friends and they do not react, however, when I get home my mother slaps me. These are two separate occurrences that, while they do evoke empathy for me (or rather the lyrical I in this hypothetical) since I am being abused, have nothing to do with each other in terms of consequence for what I have done to my friend. Now, if I slap my friend and they either slap me back or perhaps yell at me for doing so, that is a consequence of the action I have done. We rarely see the latter with Catra, in most of the abuse scenes, most of her breakdowns, and most of the scenes that are framed in a way that we as the viewer as supposed to feel bad for Catra in, are just sympathy points. They are FRAMED (writing, voice acting, editing, pacing of the scene) so we feel bad for her and almost as to excuse everything she has done as some kind of defense mechanism almost. This is getting a bit long and I still have 2 points I want to talk about, so I will stop the Catra portion here. Feel free to ask for other specifics or a better explanation if you want!
And now we go onto, Catradora. From my previous section, you might have guessed I am not a fan of the relationship. As much as I'd love to go into detail about how abusive Catra is throughout all of the seasons, their relationship was written as a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance, so I'll disregard the portion of the time they were enemies in. Nevertheless, even if you do cut out that portion of their relationship, they are still quite a toxic and abusive couple. When they were growing up, Catra didn't let Adora hang out with the other kids, going as far as scratching her across the face when Adora suggested Catra, Adora, and Lonnie all be friends. Throwing her, jumping on her stomach with the intent of hurting her. Not to mention the manipulative nature of the love confession. And this is something I haven't seen people talk about, but... Adora does not and cannot make Catra feel safe and loved. And that, I believe, is one of the core problems of their relationship we see this, especially in the last season. No matter what Adora does or says, Catra simply does not believe her. I am sorry to cut this short here, with such a strong and in many ways controversial statement, but, as I said, always shoot me an ask for a more in-depth explanation!
The last portion I want to talk about is Double Trouble...and the fact that they're the only non-binary character within the show. I won't talk about their role in the story, an LGBTQ character can be evil or neutral, they don't always have to be good, as long as their villainous behavior is not a damaging stereotype for the community (such as a lesbian character praying on another woman) or their behavior isn't romanticized (ie. Catra). Double Trouble is I believe one of the more damaging representations of the show. They are a non-binary, shape-shifting lizard who imitates anyone they want to gain and manipulate and sees it as performance... Which is one of the MOST COMMON THINGS I've seen non-binary people being labelled as. As well as the only non-binary character within the show not being human, when most, if not all, other characters are human or human-adjacent. When I say Double Trouble is not only a bad but harmful representation of the non-binary community, I really mean it.
Thank you so much for the ask, I hope I was able to articulate my points well! And sorry for this post being incredibly long!

This is purely self-indulgent because I am still planning on writing that Royalty AU (it kind of goes into being a mix of medieval and royalty) one day but what about Askin in such an AU? 🖤
Tumblr media
I have like 3 alternative royal AUs for Askin, which is funny because I am not into royal AUs that much haha. I am gonna focus on one and shortly present the others. What differs is more contextual, as things about his characterization stay pretty much the same from one universe to another. I apologize for the length this answer reached, I got lost in the sauce.
I shall start with the one that is most European in its setting, and I will borrow from my made-up backstory and HCs for the Askin we all know:
Born in a noble family in a kingdom located in what would be today’s Netherlands, added to Yhwach’s empire in his conquest of the continent.
His father is a man of high ambitions, especially political, and has raised Askin to be someday a man of highest possible position in whatever the setting of the world will be. He wanted his son to be successful, nothing wrong with that, right? he loved his son. Although his way of raising him was too harsh at times.
Askin received a high level noble education, and at first look he seems to be everything a noble young man should be, what his father dreamed for him to be. Well mannered, skilled and well trained in various areas - hunting, fighting and other noble sports, military, history, languages, sciences - Askin liked in particular chemistry, biology, physics and such, some medicine, and was always well informed about the world. Also a bit of a philosopher by nature.
Askin liked to use his wealthy background and status to travel, see the world for himself, learn about it and other cultures first hand. There are valuable things that simply can’t be learned from books.
Upon getting to know Askin better, one might be surprised to learn that Askin’s nature is different from the ideal noble young man he appears to be. His view of the world, and way of thinking deviates from those usually expressed by his peers, sometimes taking a dark path. He is not necessarily malicious, but the way he speaks about some dark topics makes him seem cold-hearted and twisted. Also what might be outrageous to another noble, might sound fair to a peasant.
Despite taking in everything that his father teached him, he doesn’t share in the least his father’s dreams. One of the reasons he chose to travel a lot. His father approved of it, seeing it as an opportunity for Askin to be a good diplomat and strengthen relationships with various influential figures, and he didn’t have anything to reproach to his son. But Askin was simply curious, and in a way bored. The gossips, the balls and trivialities around the court that seemed to keep everyone excited didn’t touch him. Such frivolities might have served as minor entertainment but never had the power to fill this void he was feeling. He rather seeked knowledge to fill it, and new experiences.
He was a man that recognized that he was simply lucky to be born in that position, and pondered the lives of those that didn't share his luck. He would enjoy all the advantages of high society and wealth, but also be aware (unlike many of his peers) that the stats also come with responsibilities. That actions have consequences, and in his position as one of the ruling class, those actions bear higher weight for many lives.
He might not like work, responsibilities, and especially not taking the lead. But given a task, he will surely do his best to see it through.
It’s like he has no choice but to live the life he was given, and he will search for enrichment along the way.
In another AU he is more like a Prince of Persia, based on my tracking down some stuff of his character back to some stories from that area. His father’s expectations and his upbringing and relationships are similar. The distinction is mostly cultural, and Askin serves indeed as a diplomat for his Kingdom.
My 3rd AU is not Askin centric but can be considered Royal AU. This fantasy empire still has an oriental vibe, being set in an arid area with deserts (as opposed to the canon ice), but is more detached from irl arabic countries and more refined than Desert Society.
In this AU, Askin serves Yhwach, the Emperor, being part of an elite royal corp.
He is a mage or sorcerer (crystal ball, hypnotized cobras, magic, jewels, potions, poisons, all that. Influencing events with spells, starting sand storms, making predictions - stuff useful in military strategy, advancing Yhwach’s army in battles, protecting the Emperor from assassination attempts and so on).
Also can serve in the corps of counselors.
He is more wicked and manipulative and dark in this one. Also smug.
Since I usually HC Askin with part dutch, part arabic background, I also thought of combining the first 2 AUs. Similar to my usual backstory, his arabic father came to Europe for trade business and strengthening of political network, and married a dutch noble woman.

**GREETING / ABOUT ME**
Hi I’m Shoshanah!. I'm 23 and in the GMT timezone. I consider myself a literate roleplayer. My average post length is around two long-ish paragraphs but I like to match my partner. I’m chronically online to plot and headcanon but depending on reply length, I occasionally might find it hard focus on long replies. I'm looking for a partner is willing to be patient with me. I do aim for daily replies but do give me about a week maximum to respond, and I shall do the same for you.
DISCORD RP ONLY
I prefer using realistic faceclaims and do enjoy using Tupperbox for rp, though this is not a requirement.
**RULES FOR RPING WITH ME**
1. Give me at least a week before sending reminders please. I do feel guilty about not replying quickly but constant reminders make me anxious and less motivated
2. All characters must be 20+
3. I only write in third person tense
4. Please give at least more than three sentences so I have something to work with for my side
5. MxF or FxF. I do allow doubles!
**WHAT I WANT TO RP**
I would like to roleplay a plot along the lines of Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries / A Study in Drowning (though reading these is not a requirement). In theory, your oc (any gender) will be an eccentric noble member of the high fair folk who has been banished or escaped from faerie and hiding among mortals in the mortal realm. In this world, fae existence is common known and often studied by scholars known as dryadologists. It’s a mix of high fantasy and magical realism. My oc, Theadora Cresswell (F), will be such a scholar, interested in studying the high Fae as little is known about them. This is just a general idea but please feel free to bring your own plot suggestions and character ideas to the table.
**HOW TO CONTACT ME**
DM my Tumblr @goldenlilium-ocs or my Discord @.shoshanah with a short introduction about yourself and any of your own ideas to further the storyline. The rest we can work out if we both think we will be a good fit as rp partners :)

this might be sooo late already but im here to ask for any enstars story recs... Go off if you'd like 🛐 thank you user starswallowingsea
Tumblr media
OH i feel you on that anon I try to keep up with all the event stories as they release in engstars so i can really get a feel for all the units and that's kinda how i ended up falling in love with some of the characters I wasn't expecting to ehehe. And since my favorite unit is exclusive to the !! era, I kinda just poke around ! era for what seems interesting. I'll throw some recs under the cut though for both eras!
! Era
Steampunk Museum: Focuses on 2wink and Valkyrie and is where the line where Shu says he can tell the twins apart by their hair length comes from! It's just about the two units doing a live to help out with a museum that has undergone renovations and is doing a grand re-opening basically. It's cute and light and really sweet.
Duel: Trickstar v Knights ROUND 2 I think this was a continuation of Sakura Fes which was the first event and I have not read it but it was still pretty easy to understand either way. It is from like 2015 though so fair warning for canon typical transphobia towards Arashi. Another pretty light event.
Kabukimono: Akatsuki v 2wink! Mostly a focus on Akatsuki's developments post-war but there were some really cute moments for Shu and Kuro's relationship as well, and some brief moments with 2wink, as well as Yuta and Souma interactions.
Aquarium: I so wish I read this before Meteor Impact. It does come after MI chronologically but it does a good job of like. Laying down all of Kanata's problems and relationships. If you haven't read MI yet, read this first it will make a lot of sense I promise.
Obligatory Reminiscense stories here. They're all good I haven't read all of them yet but I have read Meteor Impact and Checkmate and it's made me wish I waited to read them for the first time. Spend some time with the units before reading these is my advice.
!! Era
Okay full disclosure, I've only read the events and scout stories that have been released in Eng (and even then, only the scouts they did the auto unlock for the stories + like. Honey Bee and parts of Vagabond and Tales of the Moon) and Crazy:B events so this list is gonna be a little less diverse.
Any Crazy:B story: Literally my favorite unit of all time I cannot even tell you. My suggested reading order is like. Spider -> Hot Limit -> Night Club -> Ariadne -> Obbligato. The only one I haven't read is Sudden Death and that's only because I am Trying to Be Patient and wait for it to come out in Eng <- suffering greatly. Lumping them together so this part doesn't become Crazy:B infodump
Conquest: Hiyori's song event. The song is fantastic and the event did a good job introducing their dynamics in this era imo. Drop a like if you want Ibara to swear more often.
Twin Peaks: 2wink event! If you liked Night Club you should definitely read this since it expounds on a lot of stuff touched upon in Night Club (I really like Night Club can you tell). All about Hinata coming to terms with actually starting to grow apart from Yuta and become his own person along with one last hurrah as identical twins.
A Dark Night's Passing: Double Face introduction! Although DF stories tend to put a lot of focus on Madara, I did still enjoy this event for them. They both have people they want to protect and keep their darker sides away from and really set up some potentially good dynamics. I haven't heard that Spring Evening's Respite (Kohaku's center for DF) was great for them, since it continued to focus on Madara, but their intro event was great and it's pretty timely to read it with their Climax coming out in a few days.
And this will be a scout stories section! The scout stories tend to mix people from different units together for their interactions which is always really fun to watch how those play out. I particularly enjoyed Reloaded which was the Tomoya Izumi feature with the "Zombie Apocalypse" happening while they were handcuffed together. It's very silly but also has a really good Izumi Senior Advice moment at the end. Also shout out to Honey Bee and ASOBI-- *I am forcibly removed from the post*

As you know, I'm not familiar with your NaruSaku kid OCs. Character and design-wise, how do you imagine them being different from the more famous fankids, Shinachiku, Hanami, and Arashi?
In fairness D, I don't think anyone other than me is actually familiar with my NS kids lol, but I gather your meaning lol.
Okay, let's be clear first and foremost cos I have run into this problem before and I don't want anyone to misunderstand me when I say something in a moment.
I have no ill will against Shinachiku, Hanami and/or Arashi. I've just been here a long time and the NS kids I came up with have been knocking around my noodle for a lot longer than Shinachiku has ever even existed. I have my own, I'm not dropping them for anyone or anything. I'm also not co-opting them and merging my characters with them either. I patently refuse.
It's rude you know?
Cool? Cool.
As for differences beyond the obvious, there's four of my kids, they look different slightly, well you'll have to tell me, I don't know too much about them outside of the bits and pieces I've gleaned from other fic and art.
I strongly suspect the biggest difference is less to do with the kids and more to do with the differences between my Naruto and the Naruto we typically see in stuff about Shina et al.
We are made who we are by the people who raise us, no matter how much we may fight against it as adults, we are the people who came out of our parents/guardians parenting. For good or ill, we are all reactions to our parents, so if my Naruto is different to everyone who writes Naruto for Shina etc ... well I'll have different kids.
I very much get a bumbling sitcom dad/fourth child vibe from Shina and his siblings' dad. And that's fine, it's a perfectly fun and popular take on how Naruto would be as an adult and parent.
I just ... disagree.
I think this comes slightly from two key differences between me and the majority of fanfic writers still knocking around in the NaruSaku sphere.
I'm a man.
I'm a father.
So I have a distinctly unique perspective on fatherhood to most of the people writing Naruto as a dad for NaruSaku. Not a better one to be clear, just a different one.
And because of this, any particular differences between Shina, Hanami and Arashi with my four kids, Sachi, Ichika, Yuuto and Akihiko ... would be kinda like comparing apples and oranges to be honest.
So what I'm going to do instead is just describe the four of them as just them. And you'll have to tell me if that's like Shina etc or not like them.
I do actually have a post where I detail my kids a bit but I was a bit lackadaisical on physical descriptions. So this post will focus on that and I will link the other post with more of their personalities here.
Now, let's start with the appearance of the eldest Uzumaki child.
Sachi Uzumaki
Sachi is our eldest, she's got pink hair a couple shades darker than her mum, eyes just a little lighter blue than her dad and her face is mostly a perfect mix of both her parents, except for the grin. She's got her dad's grin and mouth. Her hair has been all sorts of length but as she settles into teens and active ninja duty, it is cut just a little longer than Sakura's was for most of the story.
When she hits her full height she stands at 5 foot 7, has a generally toned physique like most ninja and kunoichi do with one key exception. Sachi Uzumaki's arms are jacked. Girls got guns and knows how to use them lol. Think an Olympic swimmer for reference but not quite as bulky.
As for clothes, she typically dresses for action, she's what we who grew up in the 90s and early 00s would call a tomboy. There's a general mixing of colours, Sachi is very comfortable being the centre of attention and her clothing reflects this. While she's never gone out wearing full orange or anything like her dad, she has been known to walk around wearing some of Naruto's old jackets.
She does love a good pair of combat boots, the laces normally being fluorescent colours. Sachi's go to look from about the age of fourteen was an oversized top of some primary colour, normally blue, light grey trousers like the ninja uniform and sometimes Naruto's old jacket, sometimes a black leather jacket with the Uzumaki and Haruno symbol, which Naruto and Sakura made once they got married and merged their clans, yes I like this idea too, I'm sure it's also all over the other fankids lol, she wears her headband over her forehead to keep her hair out of her face and because she won't shy away from headbutting people with it.
Ichika Uzumaki
Ichika, Ichi to the family, is Naruto and Sakura's second daughter, sometimes their second or third child depending on the story.
She typically keeps her blonde hair long, think Kushina's lengths for the most part, but the style changes from braids to long flowing locks depending on her mood. She has the same shape and shade of green eyes as Sakura and like all of her siblings, Naruto's grin and mouth. But aside from her mouth it's all Haruno all the way down, you could see Ichika from a mile away and pick her out as basically a blonde Haruno.
She's very lithe to contrast her more muscular sister, if Sachi has a swimmer's body, Ichika has a gymnast's. She's also a few inches shorter than her sister and when all four of the kids are adults, she's the shortest of the bunch at 5 foot 3.
In yet another contrast to her big sister, Ichika is decidedly more traditionally feminine in her attire, favouring pinks and baby blues in her clothing. She's also more inclined to dresses and skirts. She loves summer because it's an excuse to wear sundresses and she loves a good sundress.
It does contrast to what she wears when on mission or training, she favours more form-fitting and close clothing in that scenario and her go to ninja gear is basically the typical uniform but with leggings and turtleneck under her eventual Chunin and Jonin vests. She wears her headband like a belt buckle.
Yuuto Uzumaki
Yuuto, Yuu to the family, is their first son, normally their third child, sometimes second.
He's a dead ringer for child!Naruto. If it weren't for his hair being less spiky and more flowing, think Minato basically, and his eyes being a couple shades lighter green than Sakura's you wouldn't be able to pick out which was five year old Naruto and five year old Yuuto. It's uncanny.
That is until he hits puberty, and his hair gets longer and his face more angular and it's like looking at Minato Namikaze's face on Hokage Mountain come to life. He styles his hair differently but if Sachi is a blend of Uzumaki and Haruno and Ichika is a Haruno ... Yuuto is a Namikaze. At least in the face. Body wise he's basically the same as Naruto, muscular in an agile way with a bit more bulk than his dad and standing at a full 6 foot, the same height as his dad. I don't care if he's actually 5 foot 10 in canon, it's my world now lol.
Yuuto wears as much black as he can as well. It's actually somewhat comical to see the flash of colour at the top of him, blond hair and a dark red headband over his forehead, and then just all black. Black dress shirt open at the second button and untucked, black jeans and black boots. If it didn't suit him so well, he'd get made fun of viciously by his siblings.
He forgoes the Chunin and Jonin uniform unless he's directly ordered to or it's a formal occasion and in fairness to the boy ... it does look weird on him.
Honestly, he looks a bit like a stylish super saiyan lol.
Akihiko Uzumaki
And last but not least, Akihiko. Aki or Koko to his family, I will let you guess who calls him what, but let's just say only Sachi gets away with calling him one of them.
Anyway, Akihiko has dark pink hair, which almost darkens to a very, very light red when he hits early adulthood. He keeps it shorter than the rest of his family, not buzzcut short or anything but no longer than the bottom of his ears. It's still a mess of hair though, no sign of mousse or hair gel lol. As an older man he even grows a beard.
He's the child who most resembles Sakura facially, including the forehead. But his eyes are a glorious merge of blue and green. Honestly they're quite astounding to look at. And of course he has Naruto's mouth and that damn grin.
He's a bit shorter than his brother and father, coming in at 5 foot 11 when he stands up straight and 5 foot 10 when he slouches, which is often. And he is very lanky, he's the least muscular of his family and that actually makes him look taller than he is because of how willowy he is.
Clothing wise, I dunno how to really put it, he dresses normally? Akihiko basically dresses to blend in, he doesn't stand out and he'd really rather you didn't look at him too long. Lots of earth tones and dulled colours. His headband is the brightest thing, and he ties it around his upper left arm on a flash of pink cloth.
And that's basically it for now. I hope this was worth the wait and let me just remind everyone that my takes on Naruto and his kids are just that, mine.
I have nothing but respect for people who use Shinachiku, Hanami and Arashi as their NS kids, but maybe now you've learned a bit about mine ... you'll see why I'm so attached to them. And I hope you look forward to reading the future stories I have about my Uzumaki family.
Ta ra!

**GREETING / ABOUT ME **
Hi I’m Shoshanah!. I'm 23 years old and in the UK. I consider myself a literate roleplayer. My average post length is around two fairly long paragraphs but I like to match my partner. I’m chronically online to plot and headcanon but depending on reply length, I occasionally might find it hard focus on long replies. I'm looking for a partner is willing to be patient with me. I do aim for daily replies but do give me about a week maximum to respond, and I shall do the same for you.
My oc (F) will be such a scholar, interested in studying the high Fae as little is known about them. This is just a general idea but please feel free to bring your own plot suggestions and character ideas to the table.
**HOW TO CONTACT ME**
Please dm @goldenlilium-ocs with a short introduction about yourself and any of your own ideas to further the storyline. The rest we can work out if we both think we will be a good fit as rp partners :)

The only time I feel free is during the time where hobbies take over. I think it’s the lack of conscious responsibility of taking care of myself and others. Freedom to do whatever you want without a responsability or a burden or a pain, or a Sisyphean task getting in the way of whatever it is your brain deems fun.
For me thats really only my hobbies. When I was a kid and teenager it was primarily drawing, reading and games. Though those hobbies haven’t deviated much, they have either dwindled, evolved, or been abandoned. I don’t draw anymore, even though I have a desire too. My focus in that regard was taken from me in a way. I don’t read nearly as much as I should nowadays, but there are things I do read and regularly try to keep up with. Playing games is something I enjoy immensely but sometimes it feels like I shouldn’t be playing them because other tasks are piling up.
Responsibilities are a burden, but they keep us grounded in reality. People without them fall apart. People who can’t maintain them fall apart in a different way. Without them, the chain around your neck is so loose you can inadvertently strangle yourself with the excess length.
Lately the hobby thats been giving me the most enjoyment, despite being a huge time sink in the eyes of most has been anime. Theres countless old series I never watched. Either because I didn’t get a chance or didn’t know they existed. So many creative art styles, different animation approaches, alongside stories of every vein and style being told.
Though, like all things, some anime just doesn’t mix well with your own likes. I’ve watched a fair few where something has just felt so off that I had no interest in watching more than the first two episodes. I always give the second episode a chance, as you can’t always judge if you’ll like a show from a singular episode. On the opposing side sometimes you watch a singular episode you really enjoy only to have the rest of the show let you down.
Convoluted plot. Shoddy lip sync. Unappealing art style. Weird voice acting. Uninteresting characters.
All of these things can let down a show immediately. I think most forums would probably praise and bash their favourite anime in equal proportions. While that is a good thing, it can also leave a stale taste in the mouth from opinions you disagree with. I won’t pretend to be knowledgeable about any anime, even the anime I have watched, both past and present, that I’ve enjoyed can easily escape my mind.
I never understood rewatching a series over and over again. There’s never been any show or movie thats ever got me obsessed that way. I do enjoy what I enjoy deeply, but there’s never been a show to make me stop and go, “I’m going to watch this seventeen times in a single week, and love it.”
Considering all the shows that exist in the world, I want a chance to see them all at least once.
For those curious, who manage to find and read these journals, my favourite anime of all time is actually Fooly Cooly. And any modern day anime that can live up to its craziness instantly earns my respect and an add to a watch later list.

F1 Affinity Grid, 2024
last year
Curiously, though the driver lineup is entirely unchanged from the end of last season, my whims continue to mutate.
Podium Places 1. Fernando Alonso (↑) -- Please, fickle fates, let Nando win a race before he rides off into the sunset. Self-identified villain or not, his undeniable pluck and wiliness persist and his character is now one of a 1 of 1 legend.
2. Alex Albon (↑) -- Williams remains a safe place for Alex, the car looks poor, his competition is below par, he just needs to gut out points and keep smiling. Bit concerned if a good run of form might put him in position to be put back in the fire at Red Bull, then again what if he ends up with George at Merc? Regardless, I want Alex to get everything he wants.
3. Lewis Hamilton (-) -- Well, he asked for this. LH is waiting for next year all year, but then again, aren't we all... I do, however, hope for a surprise breakthrough, even as he runs out his term for Merc.
4. Valtteri Bottas (↓) -- Clearly the mothballed Sauber operation gave him nothing to work with last year but I also struggle to remember even one instance of him outdriving the sled. The bright green car is fun, if unpromising. Bottas remains a fun personality and a surprise appearance in the top of the field would make me quite happy. 5. Yuki Tsunoda (↑) -- Make or break, Yuki lately looks like he'll make. Knowledge that he has to keep Danny Ric at bay looked to have done wonders for his focus over the back half of last season. A podium result would be delightful.
6. Oscar Piastri (↑) -- Oh, this kid's smooth. Pushed Lando as a rookie, which is not nothing.
7. Pierre Gasly (↓) -- Alpine was bad last year and looks... significantly worse this year. This, I'm afraid, will age Pierre and his youthful exuberance irrevocably.
8. Sergio Perez (↓) -- Aw, Checo. Terribly challenging year to try and root for the guy, he just... constantly failed to turn it up, rose to very few of the challenges thrown down... but he did finish 2nd, which, for all the grief, is the first time the bulls have finished 1-2, which I might suggest is indicative of the long term climate for their 2nd drivers.
Mid-field
9. Kevin Magnussen (↓) -- The kinder, gentler, mellower K-Mag continues to do what he do, which is qualify well and hope his Haas doesn't fucking die mid-race.
10. Zhou Guanyu (↓) -- Honestly, probably a better driver than Bottas at this point but it's hard to tell, think Valtteri's spent his spell with not-sauber trying to cope with a car that sucks to drive, whereas Zhou's been making do.
11. Nico Hulkenberg (↓) -- Copy and paste from K-Mag, still the best pair of drivers Haas has had (oh, that's a funny phrase) in ever, but to what end? Consistency in car not designed for race length races.
12. Esteban Ocon (↓) -- Did not, in the end, create much fun drama paired with Pierre, because it's easier to get along when there's little competition to be had. Could be a long quiet season.
13. Max Verstappen (↑) -- SuperMax continues his slow climb in my personal esteem (I'm sure he'd be thrilled to hear this,) he's just been so... consistent, and absent any challenge, sort of zen, reaching for a sort of pure mechanical athleticism mixed with unerring drive for further perfection. Gotta respect that. It's not the band I hate, it's the fans.
14. Charles LeClerc (↑) -- I don't want to feel bad for a rich, handsome Ferrari driver with the kind of life of leisure that allows the globe trotting Monegasque a vocation as a dilettante beat-maker... but his luck is so bad. So so bad.
15. Daniel Ricciardo (n/r) -- Oh, silly me. How could I forget. I have genuinely enjoyed Danny, he's the undisputed driver-side star of DtS. I just don't think he's... well, prove me wrong, Danny.
Backmarkers for my affection
16. Logan Sargeant (↓) -- Okay. Fair points -- he's green. Paired with Alex, he looks poor, Alex looks good. I do more or less hope he shows something this year, it's time to prove it.
17. Lando Norris (--) -- Still not really for me. He's maturing, he's putting up results. I just would not be surprised if Lando was a flat-earther or moon landing denier based on something he saw on tik-tok.
18. George Russell (--) -- I simply do not care for his demeanour.
19. Carlos Sainz, Jr (--) -- Do I feel bad that Lewis is taking his spot? No. No I do not. Feels cruel of me, but...
20. Lance Stroll (--) -- I will try to be nicer to Lance Stroll. Has he learned to check his mirrors before slamming into the side of or slamming his side into someone? Not as of yet.

notes: hello and welcome to kinktober! i’m gonna try and keep up with these, if i can at all. these are just gonna be little things (i hope) every day or so depending on the kinks that are applicable for the day! if you’d like to see a certain character, maybe i can make it happen! thank you to @the-purity-pen for a phenomenal kinktober list selection 🥺

You’re shaking against Loki’s mouth as his tongue moves up and down your folds, arms locked around your thighs as his cum slowly seeps out of your stretched hole, his tongue occasionally lapping down for it.
Your hands are gripping the headboard like a lifeline, hips shaking as Loki continues his slow ministrations on your pussy. You’re already nearing your second orgasm of the night, and Loki’s pace is still steady unlike his thrusts just mere minutes ago.
“L-Loki, fuck,” you squeak softly, feeling more of his release leak out from you, his tongue more occupied on swirling your clit in between harsh suction-like kisses. “God, this is so—”
“Hot? Sexy? Orgasm inducing?” Loki speaks suddenly, pulling from your clit and unhooking one of his arms from your leg to plunge two of his fingers back inside of you. “How are you fairing up there?”
“Loki!” You whine, his fingers making a loud squelching sound as you leak around the digits.
“Good?” he provides for you in reply, chuckling. You nod as you focus on breathing through the pleasure. You feel his tongue gliding down the length of your pussy to lap at the slightly stretched rim of your hole to gather all of your shared juices leaking from you.
If it wasn’t for the way his fingers continued their assault inside of you in place of his cock, you would be smothering Loki’s face, trying to gain friction on your clit so you could finally reach the edge and cum again.
Hell, if you could let go of this damn headboard, you’d actually rub your clit yourself.
Loki hums against your cunt. His tongue still tracing the rim of your hole around his fingers that are knocking into your g-spot nearly perfectly. Your hips are jerking again, and you’re not embarrassed by the newer noises his fingers are causing by their obscenely slow pace.
“C-Can..can you get back to my-my clit? Please, baby?” You beg breathlessly. “I really wanna c-cum—“
“My little girl wants to cum, does she?” Any and all movement stop on and in your cunt. You whine, high, needy and loud.
“I supposed that can be arranged my love,” Loki muses between your legs. You hear shifting under you, before feeling his fingers leave your convulsing hole. You have half the mind to look down at him before you feel his hand rest on your lower abdomen. “Look at me, darling.”
You shouldn’t have been so turned on by it. You really, really shouldn’t have.
The lower half of Loki’s face was soaking. Both from your pussy and his own cum that you assumed he caught most of. Truthfully, you wanted to lick his face clean. Or grind on his face until he passes out. Whichever came first on your twisted mental list.
Loki’s hearing every internal monologue, smirking wider and wider at every twist and turn of a filthier thought.
“You can clean me up once you’re done cumming on my face, alright?”
You nod wordlessly, Loki’s free hand moving to grab at your ass while his hand with wet fingers—hell, his whole hand is probably wet from your mixed fluids—trails back down to your mound and press against your clit. You gasp and cant your hips forward against his touch.
“Y-Yes sir.”
The final smirk he gives you before he dives back into your cunt is devious. You have every right to assume you’re cumming more than once after this.
“Good girl. Now, hold still. I won’t be gentle.”

Hello, Laura! 😁 Could you please write a Yuno x reader with prompt Q7 “Do you suppose it’d be alright if I start courting you?” and prompt Q13 “Put that away and kiss me”? Thank you!! 💕💕
Hello dear~! Of course! I'm glad to see Yuno simps back on my blog, and I do hope that I managed to deliver with this one ^-^
Pairing: Yuno Grinberryal x gn!reader
Prompts: Q7 “Do you suppose it’d be alright if I start courting you?” and Q13 “Put that away and kiss me”
Genre: Fluff
Fic type: Oneshot
Length: ~0.9k

You had been running errands for the entire day, going around with a list, just to make sure that you wouldn’t forget anything. Though, as you were looking at all the things still on it, and looking at the clock, it had become apparent that you weren’t going to get everything done today. It wasn’t that you had explicitly told that you had to wrap up everything today, but you knew that if you slacked on it, then things would begin to stack up. Plus, it had felt like you were expected to get it done as soon as possible.
A sigh escaped you, and your eyes fell to the ground as you thought about it; all the responsibilities and tasks. Though it wasn’t like you were alone with it. All younger members had their fair share of duties; the older ones too, though their jobs weren’t quite as mundane as yours. Or so it seemed. Though you still remembered how even these tasks had appeared as so complex and difficult to do in the beginning, because of the amount of things you were supposed to grasp and remember, but now it was easy. So… maybe you’d be ready to take on something else in the near future.
But now, you needed to focus on getting-
“Hey.”
You turned around to see Yuno standing there, as tall and stiff as he usually was. Some might have said ‘uptight’, but to you it didn’t seem like that. Klaus was more uptight than Yuno was, but there was a kind of tension Yuno seemed to carry with him at all times.
Maybe it’s because of all the expectations on him, you thought to yourself as he spoke out your name, rolling it from his tongue with hesitation and tense syllables.
“Yeah?” You asked with curiosity that mixed together with uncertainty of your own, because… he was rather handsome. He was aloof and mysterious, but he was also kind and hard working. He was… wonderful.
“There’s something I’ve been needing to ask you,” he admitted, much more hesitantly than you’d imagine. On most days he would just have asked whatever it was that he was supposed to ask.
Butterflies swirled in your stomach, clashing against your ribs and trying to flutter to the surface. It made you feel like pacing around, and standing still, jumping up and down, and sitting down onto the ground. It made you want to gasp for air, and to hold your breath. So many contradicting urges that you wished that he’d already ask, as the seconds ticked away, making the moment seem like a fraction of an eternity.
“Do you…” he began as his eyes shifted to the side for a moment, and his voice became a mumble, “suppose it’d be alright if I start courting you?”
The question, you could barely comprehend it. Because it was just… too good to be true, honestly. So mindbogglingly, incomprehensibly wonderful that it made your train of thought fall from the rails.
And yet, your mouth new the word to speak. “Yes…” you whispered, with a nod and a swallow, which made a smile, a radiant smile that was your golden dawn, appear on his lips.
“I’m… glad,” he replied with faint, feather light syllables that danced in the air, in the wind that just might as well have been the swirling of his own emotions.
“I.. uhh.. well I-, still uhh… have these to do so…” you uttered out without thinking, as your body seemed to remember your duties than you yourself.
His eyes fell onto the list, and then rose back to you. It was as if he was thinking, trying to remember something, and had it not been for the split second of a shadow of realization that made his eyes widen, you might have thought it to be only a figment of your own imagination. But. There was an advice he certainly must have remembered, because what followed seemed more like something you might read between the pages of a book.
“Put that away and kiss me,” he proclaimed while wrapping his arm around you and pulling you closer.
Your fingers curled around the list, crumbling the piece of paper in your hand as your heart thumped in your chest. The sound of blood rushing in your ears was almost deafening, and you were convinced that he might hear your heart beating.
But perhaps he did, or then he saw the surprise in your eyes as uncertainty, because he loosened his grip as his confidence failed him. And he took a step away.
You took a step closer.
It was so impulsive, and without a thought. But it felt… right. It felt right to close in that gap again, and wrap your arms around him as you… pressed your lips against his.
You pressed a kiss onto his lips, and it made your head feel light. A faint tremble coursed through your body as all you could think about was that you had just kissed him.
You had just kissed him.
And it was the boldest, bravest thing you had done so far. But. What followed was even sweeter.

He takes joy from being able to steal glances of you when you’re lost in thoughts, just looking somewhere far, far away. Of course, he prefers you looking into his eyes, but this is the next best thing. You have a kind of tranquillity and serenity about you whenever you’re looking into the distance that makes him think that everything is alright with the world.
“My love…” he utters with such sweet syllables they might be the nectar of the high heavens, as he places his hand onto your shoulder if he needs to get your attention.
Somehow, he feels like the serenity of your daydreaming habit extends to him, and makes him calmer as well. He’s had to be grounded it what happens around him that at times, he feels like he’s lost imagination, not that he thinks about it that much. But whenever you wake from your daydreams and ask him about something, a strange question that he can’t, for some reason, help but think, he feels himself to be… his way of thinking to be stuck in set tracks. He’s unable to imagine, and that’s why it’s such a blessing to have you in his life.

Corsets aren’t exactly strange in noble wardrobes in his mind, which is why he doesn’t really think of it as strange one day when you come home with a package that held one. It’s just a garment. There was nothing unusual about it, so he continued sipping his afternoon tea just the same.
He had picked up the habit of having tea with you in your shared bedroom, because it was the one place where you could be in peace and quiet, just the two of you. And since there was more than enough space for it, with the private balcony, couches, tables and so on, there really wasn’t an issue.
It really was your private sanctuary.
But when you asked if he’d give you an opinion on your purchase, he quirked an eyebrow. That wasn’t quite so usual. Normally you got something nice for yourself, and you showed it to him, explaining that you did in fact like it. The days when you asked if something was to his liking, were… well, he would have been lying if he claimed that it was long in the past, but it had only been frequent when you started dating.
That, or when there was an important event where you wanted to make sure that you were presentable enough.
But sure enough he agreed, and continued to sip his tea as you went to change, only to emerge in a skirt and a corset that was your favourite colour, which complimented you so well.
You swayed your hips, as if you were happy with your purchase. And that alone made him smile.
“You look… lovely,” he uttered before lifting the tea cup back onto his lips.
And then… you tugged onto the corset lacing.
That made him draw some of the tea into his airways, and he coughed, trying to get the liquid out.
“I take it that it looks good,” you giggled as he was trying to catch his breath. But the coughing didn’t seem to end. “Are you okay?” You had to ask, to which he nodded.
He’d be okay, after he caught his breath.

...should he have known? that one day, his fate would be switched with yours?
the purple veins that made themselves visible decorated the sides of your face, changing the color of your irises to a deep mix of purple and streaks of red. devil like wings sprouted from your back, dragging on the floor while leaving a trail of red behind.
his heart was beating, so many new humane emotions conjuring inside of him, none that he was able to register. all he knew is that he wanted to save you, get you out of here. return you back to normal, so you could live like the happy pair you were.
a lopsided smile came onto your face and you tried to make it seem as welcoming as possible. out of every person here, he was the only one you could recognize. no one wanted you. no one you knew, but he... he was your last chance.
does he still want you?
the city of mondstadt was up in smoke, and you watched as every citizen fled with tears staining the stone floors. yet here he was, in front of you, just an arms length away. nothing making sense to him.
you tried to speak, but instead came out a cough of blood. it splattered onto your hand, however, you paid no mind to it. you tried again, your voice hoarse. "i wish it didn't have to end this way."
his eyes widened, paying full attention to your staggering body. you stepped forward, yet there was no flinching motion from him. he wasn't scared of you... yet.
no, rather he was scared of the thought of losing you.
you already knew how it would play out. you're not going to make it out alive, no matter what. this is the end. you didn't accept it, but you knew there was no choice. there were still so many things you had left to do, so little time to do it all... you hated it.
you reached out to brush the tears from his cheek, but retracted your hand, afraid to harm him. the evil energy was consuming you entirely and you couldn't handle it for long. the last thing you wanted to hurt was him.
"(y/n)..."
he said your name. he said it again. but it didnt feel the same way. this was the last time you could ever hear him say it again, and you wished that before this, you had the time to be with him. but its all over now.
you blanked for a bit, your mind void of any thoughts. stumbling into his arms, he caught you but was taken aback by surprise. the amount of energy he felt upon contact was far too dangerous for you. "please... please don't leave me."
yet a part of him knew there was no point of saying that.
he kneeled down, carefully holding you in his arms. the blood tears leaked from your face and piled at the ground below as bits of chalk. "i dont..." your vision blurred, but you could still make out his face. "i dont regret trading our futures... and..." you could feel your fingertips turning to chalk too. "i certainly dont mind dying... if its in your arms."
and with that, you entirely dispersed into chalk, leaving him no time to say anything in return. it wasnt fair, he still had so many things he wanted to say to you, yet multiple factors had never let him. you were the one to introduce him to actually feel such emotions and he would never forget that. he didnt have the time to tell you how much he loved you.
your chalk slipped through his fingers as he continued crying, hoping for your presence that simply wasn't there. but one day- he swore, he will find a way to bring you back.

he thought it was some sort of miracle as to why he was feeling better all the sudden. like a major weight had been lifted off his shoulders. and he thought that he could pay you a visit just to attempt a conversation like this, where he felt... even more at peace.
yes, sure, a little suspicion was there, but it just lingered in the back of his mind as he finally felt free.
and you always wanted him to feel free.
and especially under the stress hes noticed youve been under lately, he thought if he could drop by and actually spark a conversation, it would make things even just a little bit easier for you. he always knew how much you seemed to enjoy talking to him.
he wanted to see you. and he did. but not like this.
not to the point where every movement you made was delayed, not to the point where no makeup could hide the lack of sleep youve gotten, not to the point where you had absolutely been paying no mind to yourself at all. not like this, no, not at all.
"(y/n)..." he called you, but it seemed that your reality had been lost. "(y/n)." this time he had caught your attention. one of the few times he had called you by your name and not some mortal label.
you had been leaning against the balcony, zoning off into the distance and losing your focus. upon hearing your name, you walked toward him, yet instead found yourself tripping.
here you were, in his arms, holding onto his collar as you nuzzled into the crook of his neck. "are you... okay now?" you tiredly voiced as if you havent slept a bit in days. you were so unenthusiastic, yet the sincerity of your words held itself accountable.
and the first humane reaction to your collapse was his crying. the first time in centuries where he felt peaceful, and this happened, this was the cost. your well being. what was it that happened? why did you act like it was nothing at all?
"i dont regret taking your karmic debt.." ah. so that explained your built up stress. you were far too weak to handle his karmic debt. he's had so much time to endure and adjust while you haven't. and all this time he thought that it was just a blessing he had suddenly received. if he had been a little more analytical...
its never fair. its never alright. why did it always have to go wrong? "why would you... why would you do that?" his voice was shaky.
"you're the only..." you shivered, lightly coughing. "...you're the only pair of arms... i wouldn't mind dying in."
yet it was already too late for him to say that you were the only pair of arms he wouldn't mind being held in.
