1.The Prank was a hurtful episode in the Marauders’ friendship. I think it was never a big deal for the Marauders. James wasn’t upset with Sirius, etc etc. The fandom made up cheap drama where there wasn’t any. “James was the moral compass of the group,” “James was angry with Sirius for two weeks/six months/a hundred years,” “James thought it was the height of dishonour to betray his friends and he thought Sirius betrayed Remus” – no. James was always on Sirius’s side, and that’s one more reason why Sirius was so fixated on James. James was the only person who fully accepted Sirius, with all his flaws and strengths, which no one else did.

2.James and Sirius were like brothers and treated each other as such. It’s clear to me that Sirius loved James and didn’t even realise it. Sorry for my Prongsfoot agenda, it’s not me, it’s canon. It’s just a fact, as much as the sky is blue, and the grass is green.🫶

3.Wolfstar is canon. I love Wolfstar and it can fit into the canon (I write Wolfstar myself), but it’s as canon as my grandmother being the Queen of the UK.

I think alphard and Andromeda are the Irohs of the family

I think sirius got banished (zuko) and regulus stayed back being the perfect child (azula). And sirius went to find alphard and Andromeda for help (iroh). Tho since sirius has Andromeda and alphard, regulus has narcissa. Bellatrix is essentially azula tho character wise. So they're all kind of just sharing the characters around. But you see the vision. Bella and sirius are the more reckless unhinged sibling, regulus and narcissa are the more quiet and calculated sibling.

james potter

james grew up surrounded by love, particularly from his parents. for him, this was a fundamental part in shaping the way he views romantic love, and the way he approaches romance through the duration of his time at hogwarts. the boy was so loved growing up that he doesn't quite understand when his friends don't experience the same thing or feel the same way towards love, at first, but then quickly comes to the realisation that he can step into the roll his parents served in loving him as he grew up. this makes him fill in the emotional roll of a parent within his friend group, which is why he becomes so full on toward lily in their second year.

he becomes persistent in his want to impress her and have her validation. in his second year of schooling, she teaches him to validate himself, even if that lesson came from her lack of attention toward him and her friendship with severus snape.

however, over the course of the next four years, for better or for worse, he wore lily down, eventually getting into a relationship with her. their relationship was the definition of healthy, until it wasn't. in the beginning, they were inseparable, they could be mistaken for almost the same person. though that was very quick to fade out as the intensity of their final exams began to weigh on them.

this breakup hit him hard, because of the idea of her he had in his head for almost the entirety of his schooling. he was forced to let that go, and so he grieved the relationship and his attachment to her. though, she did teach him lots about love, and the importance of communication in relationships, especially romantically, which he carried later into his life. this is why his next relationship is probably one of the healthiest relationships that anyone around him had ever seen.

sirius black

on the entirely opposite end of the spectrum, sirius never had a good role model of a relationship in his youth. his parents' marriage was one of convenience, it was loveless, which was expected because they were cousins. as a child, it was the kind of relationship he expected to find himself in when he became an adult. he expected to be married off, probably to one of his cousins, before he had even finished his schooling at hogwarts.

he hated the idea of being in a relationship just like his parents' one. they seemed to loathe each other, but because of their allegiance to voldemort, they had to constantly be in each other's corner. they had taken their indifference and dislike for one another out on both sirius and regulus, which was formative to their perception of a healthy relationship. though, this was until sirius had met james, and then had met his parents. his world was flipped upside down, his perception of what love looked like was completely changed.

so, in his aspiration for rebellion, he had decided to become a heartbreaker. and he did. part of him felt bad about the girl's he had lead on. but he knew it made his parents upset. he absolutely didn't, he just hoped when he returned during half term that he had reeked of mischief. although, he was changed when he had his first serious something with mary macdonald. she had taught him to be patient, and that not all relationships are as upsetting and distressing as his parents. that love can be something exciting and that is isn't meant to be heart wrenching.

unfortunately, as the war began to rage on, they were dawn apart. the order's agenda was rigorous, they were more frequently than not sent on opposing missions, especially because sirius was promised to voldemort by his parents, and eventually it drove them apart. and he descended into madness, suddenly he had no one he could trust. trust had become so important to him, but when he loves next, he loves ten times as hard. because he doesn't want to feel so alone again.

remus lupin

similarly to sirius, remus never had a solid example of what a healthy relationship looked like. especially not with his condition. and as a result of this, his relationship with his parents was strained, to say the least. though he never outwardly said it, from a young age, remus had known that his father feared him. he grew up surrounded by people in relationships, but none of them seemed truly happy. and he could feel the contempt both of his parents had for him, of course, his mother did love him, before the attack, and he held on to that, it's what got him through his years prior to hogwarts.

at hogwarts, this boy was very quickly loved, and frankly adored, by those around him. particularly, from james and sirius, these two boys showed remus, for the first time in a long time, what it was to be loved. and he cherished the feeling that the knowledge provided. they had taught him how to be a regular kid, a revealing revelation for remus. james and sirius taught remus the joy of causing mischief, how he felt like a normal kid after watching his friends at quidditch practice, and then they'd play fight and roll through the mud.

romantically, this boy had only observed that sort of love. he saw the admiration in his friend's eyes when someone they fancied walked past, or the hushed whispers of some of the girl's in the common room gushing over which boys they found the most attractive. he knew that love was delicate, but ultimately, in a romantic sense, he never had someone to directly show him how to feel it. though, he supposed it wasn't all that different to the love he felt for his friends, or when he thought he fancied one of his classmates.

this man loves in such a wise, and committed sense. truly beyond his years with how mature of a relationship he desires, and in the way he loves.

a remus infirmary meet-cute fic with disabled!reader that is mostly just fluffy with some hurt/comfort -- that should be up soon actually!

the jegulus & potter!reader x sirius fic -> reader and reg are besties, james and sirius are besties and they're all scared of hurting each other's feelings so they torture themselves like the idiots in love they are. told from remus' POV, which has been So Much Fun to write. i've written crazy amounts for this, it's truly my baby.

the werewolf!reader x remus fic -> childhood besties kind of akin to inthaf except they met through a lycanthropy support group and have been each other's only friend ever since. i'm loving the dynamics between the marauders, remus and reader here, the perfect kind of angsty.

i'm also working on the bodyguard!remus x muggleborn!activist!reader au -> but i have decided to make it a series which means it will take longer, but i'm so excited. i won't start posting until i've written half of it, just so i know i won't fall behind, so it might take a minute, but i am getting to it.

the academic!rivals turned war tragedy fic -> i'm absolutely obsessed with this concept and it includes some of my favourite scenes i've written, but it takes a while to get through because it's quite emotionally heavy.

the slytherin!reader x post!prank!remus fic -> i have not started working on this unlike all the others, but it's constantly in my mind and definitely on the agenda.

One thing many people are not good at is combining assorted moments and facts into one picture. It is easy to see with fans who know their bias has such and such character traits or demonstrated this and that, and yet forgetting about it in an instant and believing a new contradicting piece of behaviour.

Case in point: shy Doyoung. Yes, he is a shy introvert in general, however, he is very much capable of acting boldly when it is required of him. He was the trainee who came close to the SM judges during weekly evaluations of trainees for them to hear him better, he is the neo who films sasaengs and he was the one who didn't flinch in the fruit throwing game on James Gordon's show. And yet, every time Doyoung purposefuly plays a super shy and hesitant person for variety, fans believe his charade.

2:28 - Case in point. Two idols had already danced, so it would have been a repetition to enter the same way. Do opted for a usual act for variety hosts of being slightly incompetent in a cute way (forgot the dance, was super awkward with collegues, covered his face with his jacket).

I am writing this in response to several Facebook friends who have questioned my reasons for using various Bible translations rather than exclusively using the King James Bible. If you are convinced that the King James Version is the only legitimate English Bible and that all other translations are false then please don’t waste your time reading this article because nothing I can say will convince you otherwise. If you love and enjoy your KJV, then by all means, you should continue to use and enjoy it. For myself, I believe multiple versions of the Bible can actually be an aid in understanding the message of the Bible, although, I personally like to go back to my primary study Bible [NIV], to compare scriptures.

Since the King James version was translated in 1611 many Bible transcripts have been discovered that are older and more accurate. When Bible scholars research through these older manuscripts they have discovered that some words, phrases, and sentences were added to the Bible either intentionally or accidentally. The verses that you see missing are simply not found in the oldest and most reliable manuscripts and the translators have removed these verses and placed them in footnotes or in the margin because they do not believe they were part of the original manuscripts of the Bible. Bible translators do not compare a translation against another translation, but against the manuscripts that were used.

It is nothing but myth that the King James Version is perfect. A 1611 King James version is virtually unreadable by the average person today, and there have been over thousands of corrections in the KJV from 1611 through 1769 edition, which is the version we use. And, although I believe that the KJV remains an excellent translation, yet today this 400-year-old version remains difficult to comprehend in all too many passages. Everything from the spelling, to syntax, to grammar, to phraseology is very different from what we speak today.

To complicate things, the KJV uses many archaic and obsolete words which have changed in meaning over time and do not convey what the original translators intended to express.. If you were brought up on the King James Version or you have been reading it for years, you might not quite realize how totally foreign sounding the King James Version is to modern readers. Estimates are that the King James Version uses 827 words and phrases that have since changed their meaning or are not used at all. When the Bible is translated, it should be translated into how a people/language group speaks. We understand the written Word of God best when we can read it in our own language – in the vernacular of the day – not how it was spoken hundreds of years ago.

I do realize many people have gotten used to a particular Bible version and resist any attempts to update or revise it, but fierce loyalty to a particular version of the Bible is illogical and for some advocates idolatrous. No doctrine essential for salvation is affected by translations, modern or ancient—unless done by a particular cult to promote its liberal agenda or belief system. There is no perfect translation of the English Bible, as the Scriptures were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, not English. Each translation has its own strengths and weaknesses, and I am not arguing for any specific version.

Hand a KJV to a young person, or even an older person, and ask them to read 1 Thess. 4:5 and then explain to you what "concupiscence" means. Here is another one: "Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may WITHOUT the word be won by the CONVERSATION of the wives;"1 Peter 3:1. That sounds like a total contradiction until one learns that CONVERSATION in that verse does not mean speech, but behavior. The meaning of the word in English is no longer the same. A prime example of words taking on a different meaning because of culture is the Christmas song "Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la, la la, la la la, la." That would have a totally different connotation today.

I certainly concede that the KJV is virtually unsurpassed in poetic beauty and literary elegance. But literary beauty and elegance are not substitutes for clarity. We read the Bible in an effort to know what it’s saying. Reading several translations based on different manuscripts can unlock different shades of meaning that you may have previously missed. It can clarify passages of Scripture, and help you see a verse in a different way.

For those trying to choose a Bible, I would encourage each of you to pick a word-for-word, literal translation [such as, NASB, HCSB, KJV, NKJV, MEV, ESV, or the less literal Bible translations, such as the NIV and NLT (a combination of word for word and thought for thought'), as your primary study Bible, then use other paraphrased versions that may be easier to read to help you wrestle through difficult passages and compare them with your primary Bible translation. If there are distinct differences between versions, you may find it helpful from time to time to utilize the Greek and Hebrew lexicon to verify biblical definitions.

Some Bible versions translate less literally, and should not be used as a Christian’s primary Bible. Bibles, such as The Living Bible, GNT, TLB, NEB, the Amplified Bible and God’s Word are paraphrased to reflect what the author thinks the Bible says, not necessarily what the Bible actually says. A paraphrase of the Bible should be used more as a commentary, a way to get another perspective, but should not be viewed as accurate as it is an author’s idea of what the Bible says. A paraphrased Bible allows the greatest degree of liberty in translation and leaves too much room for personal interpretation [2 Peter 1:20].

Some Bibles, such as The New World Translation [used by Jehovah’s Witnesses], the Message, the Passion Bible, as well as feminist and homosexual versions, are doctrinally corrupt mistranslations that have the specific purpose of altering Scripture to agree with their beliefs; they have an agenda all their own.

The Message Bible promotes the mystical New Age message with a boldness that's never been seen in a mainstream Bible. “Lord” occurs 7,970 times in the King James Bible and the Message contains the Lord only 71 times. I could go on and on but let me clarify one thing.... The amputation of these words, of which there are many more, are no accident. It is not an issue in translation or Greek manuscripts. It's also not a matter of updating archaic words or making it easier to understand. It was a deliberate and intentional doctrinal decision to remove the "Lord" and the use of the "Lord Jesus".

Above all, when we are choosing a Bible and/or comparing scriptures, we must ask God for wisdom and discernment. The Spirit of God will enlighten us to hear and understand the truth of God’s written Word and apply it to our lives. It is every Christians privilege to ask and expect the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are not left to be absolutely dependent on any interpretation of man. 1 Corinthians 2:5 KJV says “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men. But in the power of God.”

So LOA is my baby that i have so many plans for. For context, it’s a sort of creature au where the world has been taken over by the 5 major mythical creatures that call themselves the Divines (vampires, werewolves, sirens, veela and witches) and humans have been imprisoned into camps following a war.

The fic follows, james potter, a training hunter hiding underground with a rebel group. Remus lupin, a werewolf assassin who kills to survive. Sirius and regulus black, vampires who have their own agenda. There’s a whole lot of plot of the governing system, magic, history, lore and a building war that had been lost before.

As for a little unedited snippet:

The dreams grew fangs and in the darkness the stars turned red, blinking in hungry delight. Cottage living rooms with floating lanterns for light turned into explosions of jades and twilights, imprisoning him in a circle of soaring flames. He felt vines like scales growing up his ankles to his shoulder blades until he couldn't even twitch. Needle like spears tearing into his skin as blood trickled down his tongue that tasted like sweet wine. Chains around his throat bearing a furious pressure on his heart and a timeless drop of an unmoving body.

Until it stopped like a final breath. Death rushing in like an inhale of a scream. Each nightmare alternating between fear, anger and pleasure each night. It was a heavy weight his shoulders were refined to carry, lest he wish the crumble under the yearning. And so James Potter doesn't tell a soul about what he sees when the lights go off and his mind conjures beasts he almost became the dinner of had he not been rescued. He keeps his head down when his running mind of tangled yarn pins photographs to his board of who? Where? Why?

Alas, his friends could hear his unspoken words, see the red string and feel the tension when he carves wooden stake after wooden stake after wooden stake.

His dream self couldn't drive a weapon into the chest of the monster with angel eyes, but the fangs of his dreams and the fangs just centimetres from puncturing his collarbone, were very very different.
