yeah no not to make it all about Me but i'm still fucking furious that i a jewish woman have been subject to a nonstop torrent of misogynistic antisemitism for the last year in which i have been repeatedly told to kill myself or have my teeth punched in or that my sexual assault or murder wouldn't matter and that i'm an evil human being if i don't believe that 45% of my ethnic group should straight up die and then i find out all these motherfuckers telling me this statistically come from fucking trumpist families while we, jewish women, turned out not to be the root of all conservatism but the second most Harris-voting demographic in the entire country. i think we are owed a fucking apology

I had a dream about Zandik today. So it's time for my stupid thoughts about him!!!! Do you think he'd bring dead rats to the dorm for experiments? I feel sorry for his roommate.

YES. absolutely. he’d bring a myriad of little critters to study and dissect— from little rats to larger creatures like dusk birds. he wanted to study bigger creatures like shroomboars and rishboland tigers but they’re too big to sneak into his dorm, and he was already on thin ice at the time so he didn’t want to risk anything.

he sanitized them as best as he could (because, like everyone else, he doesn’t like the smell of decomposition. he just isn’t squeamish about it), but he did get a lot of scoffs and disgusted looks thrown his way from his past roommates.

past, because no one wanted to room with him anymore. (not that they did in the first place, but after witnessing the things he’d do in his dorm….. yeah.)

he has gone out on expeditions to find carcasses to study, too. he was trailing a small herd of sumpter beasts once to try and find a dead one (or for one to die on the way, in one way or another) and ended up following them until the very edge of the rainforest. he didn’t get to study what the insides of a sumpter beast looked like, but he did find a deceased flying serpent in the outskirts of the desert.

……. he tried cooking and eating the meat it dropped but it ended up giving him food poisoning. he only got told off for wandering too far without anyone accompanying him, though.

(as he was recounting those instances to you, you couldn’t help but wonder what flying serpent meat tasted like, too.)

God I was watching this part of the story and my heart broke when I saw how incredibly sad Arthur looked. I mean, it's totally logical. The bank robbery had gone horribly wrong, his greatest father figure had died, Lenny who was probably like a brother to him and he loved had also died, John who was a brother to him was captured along with Charles and Abigail whom he also loved, plus the rest of the band that he didn't know what had happened to them either.

He was on a boat in the middle of nowhere and he didn't know if he was going to get out of there alive and if he would be able to see any of them again.

Most lizards can't survive the weather below 45F. How is he alive?

Due to the nature of his work, Copperhead isn't active every night. He may spend a week hunting somebody down before delivering the coup de grâce, leaving him with a little free time before picking up his next contract. Copperhead often spends his free time caring for the various snakes and other reptile species that come into his care; sometimes these are animals belonging to former victims but often they are creatures which have been neglected or improperly cared for in some way, the serpent metahuman carefully nursing them back to health before making sure they end up in good hands.

As a guy with curly hair most times, humidity is such a bitch and happens whenever it feels like here in Jersey, no consistency. So this hit close to home lol.

Hot and Humid (The Worst Combo)

Every door in the state house was open, along with the windows. The Southern States were out barbecuing and the Northern States were suffering, except New Jersey.

It’s not like Jersey liked the heat, it was a pain in the ass, but it did mean he could go swimming and get good southern food, so he can’t complain too much. The problem was the humidity, it was ungodly humid out. Jersey knew humid intimately but this was ridiculous.

Almost every state was either in the pool or on the side relaxing or barbecuing. Almost. The only state that wasn’t with everyone was Louisiana, which Jersey would understand if it wasn’t for the fact that this is weather Loui would absolutely be in.

Jersey was about to go inside to find him when his name was called. Standing in the doorway was Loui, his hair frizzy and messy, looking just as miserable as most of the NE states felt.

Louisiana only had to say one word and Jersey would be at his beck and call. “Help”.

Jersey dragged Loui to his(Jersey's) room, looking at what products he had that could work, he realized he was severely lacking and would need to get more stuff again. He gave Loui a juice box and the tv remote and got to work.

Hair was hard, especially curly hair, it’s hard and annoying at the best of times and at the worst it’s near impossible. Jersey was basically an expert in all things hair but he was definitely wishing that Loui had come to him in the early morning before the humidity got too bad.

It took two hours but Jersey was able to put Loui’s hair into cornrows, that way if he wanted he could go swimming with the others. By the time the two got back outside some of the food was ready and it somehow got hotter and more humid, but at least now Loui’s hair wasn’t a mess.

(And if there was some magic involved to make sure his hair didn’t get affected by the humidity again, then that was between him and the demon he calls his friend).
