#this game is hella fun

Started Pokemon Legends Arceus and oh boy, I've been missing out.

This game is very fun. Now all Pokemon games must have battles that work this way. They can't go back to having battles happen as a separate thing (for lack of a better term, I'm tired) anymore.

Makes me realise how linear Sword and Shield are. The Wild Area opens it up a tiny bit, but not as much as this game. There's so much more I need to explore, and I can't wait to see more of the story unfold (I have been spoiled about some things sadly but that's the nature of being online everyday i guess)

No, seriously. Mesphiles boss fight was so dang fun for me??? Legit the first stage I want to S-rank asap.

I never liked the Doom Morph skill. While Dash and Flying are easy to do because you just have to hold the Y button for the both of them, you have to press the B button for Homing Attack BUT hold the B button for swinging around with the Doom Morph skill. My brain cannot compute with the different button input! I often lost a lot of times and rings because I forgot to hold the button to swing, causing me to fell to my death.

CASE IN POINT:

Yeaaa...platformer games are not my strong suit...

However, in Mephiles boss fight, you won't fall to your death because the area is wide and circular. The cumbersome Doom Morph gimmick was enjoyable to play there and I was grinning from ear to ear from start to finish.

Ugh, I love this boss fight so much. If Mephiles had to come back and ruin the world just so I could fight such a fun boss battle once again, I would welcome him lickety split XD

I wish there were more people comfortable with the idea of invasions in souls games. I get why people don't like them of course, early game invasions kinda blow for both parties involved, you encountering cheaters on pc, and fromsoft definitely seems to be lowering the material incentive to participate.

But even with all of those stinkers, some of my best memories in any souls title has been within the realms of pvp. Getting hazed in Oolacile Township and Darkwood Garden, the scraps with the Spears of The Church, friendly duels with friends and strangers alike, the list could go on honestly.

There was this one instance in dark souls 1 where someone had placed a gravelord sign underneath the belfry gargoyles. Seeing as how those signs are pretty rare, I immediately went over to it and let myself into the hosts world. Me and a couple other buddies went to hunt him down and once we found him, to my horror, I realized they had gone through the trouble to get the dragon head stone early. It very quickly devolved into me and my fellow invaders trying to overwhelm them while dodging the nuclear fire breath from their dragon head. It was pretty short, I ended up dying a few times before finally getting him but it was incredibly chaotic and fun in a way that the main pve of the game just couldn't offer.

And I think that's why I ultimately end up willingly participating in invasions and duels. Going up against a real breathing opponent provides a unique and fresh challenge to the many areas of these games even after your 1st playthrough.

papa osamu 🥺 i agree he’d be such a cute dad 🥺 i love imagining him with a little boy who has his eyes 🥺 and i think, osamu’s baby boy gets the same subdued nature that his papa has 🥺

osamu wakes up early for the shop, and this is especially helpful earlier on, when sleeping and feeding cycles go on every 2 hours. he’s efficient when he handles his baby boy, much like he is with most things, but he spends just a few seconds longer wrapping him up tight and tucking him in so that he doesn’t scratch himself while he sleeps. (he’s especially good at that, you’ve found. his dexterity folding onigiris somehow translating into swaddling babies).

when his little boy reaches 3 and he can walk and talk, he wakes up when his papa does, peering from the corner of the kitchen as his papa begins his morning routine. he barely makes a sound, respecting the early hours (and your sleep) like his papa does, but he inches closer to tug onto osamu’s pant leg, asking to be hoisted up.

he shares the same curiosity for food as his papa does (thank god, because osamu would never hear the end of it from atsumu if his son was a picky eater), eagerly looking down at the pan on the stove.

hoisting his little boy up higher, osamu hands him a cracked egg, urging his little fingers to pry them open. when osamu can tell that it’s about to drop, he bends his knees to lower them both, being careful to avoid a giant oil splatter.

it’s moments like this—quiet but tender, that osamu looks forward to the most.
