You were guilty as charged for destroying the pan, but he was the one who forgot it was on the stove in the first place. 

By your side was Blade, his appearance concealed from head to toe: a black beanie, sunglasses, surgical mask, and a matching black outfit to go. If you weren’t handed money before heading out of the door, you would question whether you were sourcing these items ethically with his mysterious appearance or if you were robbing the building. 

It was tense. His strides were far too long for you to keep up, trailing behind greatly while he effortlessly walked ahead. Though he claimed he wasn’t upset, it was clear he was throwing some form of tantrum. The two of you had been screaming at one another in the kitchen, managing to alert the rest of the Stellaron Hunters who were present.

“Can you slow down?” You call out, though he doesn’t pause. He turns his head to address you.

“You’re ridiculous. If you learned how to properly tend to a stove we wouldn’t be in this situation.”

With a displeased grunt, he slows his pace down and waits for you to reach his side. There would be no point in forming an active rivalry with someone he is forced to work with and live alongside. If life wasn’t already some form of misery, dealing with that would be the deciding factor testing whatever remains of his patience. 

Blade doesn’t hate you. He’s mostly indifferent to the people around him. There are times when he appears more distant than others, but he’s mostly pleasant company on rare occasions. 

“Would you like to walk around the pier before we head back?”

“Why?” Blade stares down at you, a lock from his bangs escaping the beanie as his head tilts.

“Sometimes. We’ll see what time it is when we’re done.”

“You look so different like this.” Stringing the conversation along, you attempt to distract him from the previous heated scene.

“What?”

“Casual. It’s strangely off-putting.”

“Do you think I sleep in a suit?” Blade scoffed. He wasn’t offended, simply baffled by how idiotic you make yourself sound on occasion.

“I wouldn’t put it far past you.”

“Do you say the same thing to the others?”

His question was met with silence. Amused by your unspoken answer, he snickers. 

“I see how it is.” He added, returning his vision to the road ahead.

“It’s nothing personal. When I first met you, I got the impression that you were overly formal, even in your downtime.”

“That means I was doing my job right.”

“I suppose. You’re not as bad as I thought you were.” While it’s true you struggled to bond with him at first, you feel yourself becoming more comfortable by his side as days go by.

Despite it being overwhelming, you found an odd sense of peace while being in this area. Blade kept his head low and made sure you remained close to his side. Losing you amongst the crowds would only prolong the outing for much longer than necessary. 

As you drew closer to the store you usually go to, you felt an odd amount of eyes on you. Getting glances in public was something you had grown accustomed to, but this was far more than a handful. Blade didn’t seem to notice, continuing his saunter to get things over with.

Just before you reach the storefront, the squeals of young girls echo out from behind. Footsteps rapidly charged, their words becoming registered as they inched closer.

“Is it really him?! Are you sure?!” One of them exclaims, clearly eager to grab a glance. 

“It is! It looks just like him!”

“Get your camera out!”

Storming in front of you and blocking your path is a group of youthful girls, the smiles on their faces wide as they gaze in awe at Blade who stands puzzled in front of them.

“Ah, I can’t believe it! I loved you in the new drama! May I please have your autograph?”

“You did so well! When is your next movie going to be out? We saw the film set on social media!” Another says, gawking as though he was the first man she had ever laid eyes on.

“My next movie?” Blade furrows his brows, glancing back at you with a frantic sense of horror in his eyes.

“How to Steal a Heart! The romcom!”

“Please sign my notebook! Can you write my name and a note too?”

“Give him a moment. He’s still growing used to fan interaction.” You interject the girls who were waddling closer, stretching your arm as a makeshift barrier.

“There’s a movie out now in cinemas with the debut of a new actor. He had quite a large social media presence which landed him the role.”

“I’d rather the guards have caught us.”

“Are you going to sign their books?”

“I’m not the person they think I am!”

“If you don’t, it’ll cause more of a scene. They’ll start to question who you are. We don’t need any more attention on us.”

“Nothing I have done could amount to me deserving this. Why does this never happen to anyone else?”

Analysing the unique features of this man’s handwriting, Blade grunts and turns back to the girls who were eagerly waiting for him. Reaching forward, he takes the pen and begins scribbling on the notebooks handed, quickly getting them out of the way. Just when he thought he was done, the girl who asked for a photo tugged him by the arm and raised her phone.

“…” Blade stares at you, the nod of your head giving him the answer he needs. “Fine.”

Santa Cale It was the new year already when Cale returned from the Central Plains, so following Korean custom (of the author), everyone turned one year older. Thus, Cale congratulated the three children who were now average ten year olds. 🥰

Academy Arc Because On turned 13, Cale thought of sending her to the academy to gain more life experiences and meet more peers. He thought the wolf children were not enough. But he found out from On and Ron that On had already made plans to attend.

Cale also recalled his younger sister Lily. Ron said that Lily would be attending the academy too, but in a higher grade because she wanted to study military science. Of course, Cale was supportive of Lily's decision. 🥰

Knight Clopeh Half of the chapter was about Clopeh, so I'm really happy! Yes, I'm a huge Clopeh fan. I wanted to translate the entire part about Clopeh, but this is a reaction post, not a translation one, so I'm sorry... 😞

Anyway, Cale asked Clopeh what he wanted to do if he could use the sword again. Clopeh went through some introspection about his past with Cale, and ultimately made a decision. He knelt down on one knee and dedicated his sword to his Cale-nim! 🤩

I really liked this part because it showed how Cale's relationship with Clopeh had greatly changed. From enemies to close allies. Of course, Cale pretended to not care much, but Clopeh knew that Cale did care about him. 😂

Cale had CH give the murim martial arts book to Clopeh. He wanted Clopeh to take HD's role and become stronger too. Also something about how Clopeh would now use his sword to save lives.

After CH and Clopeh left the room, Cale suddenly had a bad feeling. It was not a surprise because at that time, Clopeh was thinking something like, "I can't become a legend. But I will help create that path for my Cale-nim!" 🤣🤣🤣 Oh, Clopeh, this is why I love you~ 🥰

Ahn Roh Man is a Weeb The last part was also funny. Alberu suddenly called Cale because of some "emergency." Turns out, he had talked to Ahn Roh Man and misunderstood several terms the latter used. It all started when Cale told Alberu to mention "The Blue One" to Ahn Roh Man and gauge the latter's reaction.

And Ahn Roh Man's reply confused Alberu.

The two agreed to a "hyunpi", but The Blue One did not show up.

Ahn Roh Man said The Blue One almost spilled his "dark past."

Also said The Blue One caused him quite a considerable crisis (because of the dark past).

Hyunpi is a Korean gaming term. Hyun came from "hyunsil" which means "reality", and Pi came from P of PK (Player Kill). It means when two gamers who are having an online fight/argument get so angry that they agree to meet in real life and settle it there personally (through physical violence). So instead of a meet-and-greet, it's like a "meet-and-fight."

I can't think of an English equivalent to that term. But from what I know, some hyunpi meetings become violent enough that it made headline news in Korea. Gamers in Korea are just on a different level...

As for "dark past", it's an East Asian slang. It refers to an adult recalling the shameful, cringe-worthy, and embarrassing things they did in their childhood and teenage years. Most weebs use it to refer to their past as a chuunibyou, but it can also mean the stupid stuff you did as a teen.

So when Ahn Roh Man said he was in a crisis, it was because he was afraid of The Blue One spilling his dark past. 🤣🤣🤣 But Alberu misunderstood that and thought The Blue One was some powerful person who caused the president of a country some serious trouble... 🤣🤣🤣

Even Raon thought the same as Alberu. Cale was shocked in learning that Ahn Roh Man was such a weeb and gamer, and then did a facepalm. Alberu and Raon asking Cale what "hyunpi" and "dark past" meant was so funny. 😂

Cale was troubled on how to explain those terms. And Ron wasn't helping because he suddenly asked Cale if he wanted some lemonade. 😂

Ending Remarks Next chapter will probably be Cale explaining those terms to the Roan residents. And hopefully, Cale's talk with Ron. Cale was actually troubled today on how to explain about the KRS-Cale stuff to Ron, but Alberu suddenly called, so it got postponed.

But seriously, where are CJS and LSH? They still haven't been mentioned! Mary and the half-blood dragon were mentioned to be training together, but what about the Soos? What happened to them? What about Toonka and Durst?

Man Of The Past (Kaidan Alenko X Male Reader)

The mission didn’t need to become as drastic as it did. Shepard’s crew just needed to collect some equipment at a human colony. Out of nowhere, some rogue bandits ambushed them and thought they could defeat them. Luckily, Shepard and his allies saved the colony and all of its people. However, it isn’t only Shepard’s crew who saved them, as a third party helped them. The commander notices the biotic man and his abilities and decided to talk with him. Together with his crew, Kaidan and Garrus, they greet the stranger at the side of the town.

“Nice work out there. You live here?”

As the stranger turns around to greet the man, he notices the other man. Both of them locks eyes to each other, recognizing the other person instantly. “Long time not seen.”

“Not long enough.” Kaidan responds back with some snark.

Shepard raises an eyebrow towards his teammate. “You know him?”

“Sadly.” Kaidan says back with some snark.

“Don’t mind him. He’s still salty he lost to me so many times.”

“Do any of you mind giving us some context?” Garrus requests, done with their vagueness rather quick.

“He’s Y/N.” Kaidan introduces him. “We met at Brain Camp.”

“Biotic Acclimation and Temperance Training. BAaT for short.” Y/N says with a smirky smile. “Though after that got shut down thanks to a certain someone.” He looks back at Kaidan, who frowns at him. “I studied with different Asari camps and now I’m known as just a humble merc. Whether it’s for protection, an extra hand or committing war crimes, I’m your guy.”

“Sounds like you got experience.” Shepard is intrigued by the mercenary.

“I wouldn’t get excited.” Kaidan stops his friend. “This is a guy who throws his morality away if he gets money… or just some fun.” He gives a cold gaze at him.

“You say that, but let the guy say his offer.” Y/N looks back at the commander. “I heard of you, ya know? I know your cause, and whatever alignment I have, humanities, as well everyone’s sake, can’t be allowed to cease to exist. And since you need every men, I doubt it can’t hurt to have an experienced biotic soldier join you on the field.”

Shepard thinks about it. Kaidan notices this but doesn’t raise his voice. If anything, how could he give an argument to decline Y/N’s slimy offer.

“Let’s discuss the price.”

And so, Shepard’s squad got filled with one more member. With another biotic on the team, their strength greatly increases. He manages to fit well with the team. He often chats with Garrus, EDI and Tali. Workout with Liara and James. And because of his powers, often got picked as a squad member by Shepard. The only person who doesn’t like him is Kaidan, who keeps his distance to him. Being observant as he is, Shepard notices this and decided to confront him about it.

“You alright?” They’re sitting at living area, where Kaidan is eating his lunch.

“Yes.”

“Sure doesn’t seem like it.” Shepard responds. “You’ve been quieter ever since Y/N joined.”

“Does it matter what I think? Whatever I feel towards him, he’s still a valuable ally and a strong squad member. I can’t demand to you he gets kicked out.”

“Kaidan, you know me. You’re free to talk to me.” Shepard assures.

The man sighs. “We’ve been both at Brain Camp. Conatix was quick to notices Y/N’s natural abilities, despite him joining later then me and many others. And so, he got treated favorable. With his quick learning, he manages to beat the rest of us. He was a quiet kid at first. Shy, modest, never having the guts to speak up. We were friends… at first. And then Vyrnnus came. He saw his talent quick to the point he offered some kind of high station where he works at.” He let out a sad chuckle. “I remember how happy he was. He was so proud of himself he managed to get recognition from his work.”

“You two sounded close.” Shepard comments. “How did it all fall apart?”

“My friend Rahna… once disobeyed an order from Vyrnnus. That’s when he tried to break her arm. Things escalate, and I lost control of my power… That’s when BAaT shut down, thanks to me. And so there goes Y/N chance for what he considered a better life. He blamed me for it, and like you can see, he still does.” Although still looking down at Kaidan, he wished things could’ve went different. “I have no regret protecting a friend, Shepard. And he doesn’t have any regrets of wanting to walk the path he wanted.”

Shepard hums. “Sounds like a rough past.”

“You could say that again.” Kaidan frowns, remembering the past all too well. “I won’t let my grudge take a hold on me. You don’t have to worry about that.”

“I won’t.”

Seeing his new recruit working out at the hangar, Shepard decided to join him.

“Want a sparring partner?”

Y/N looks up from his sit-ups. “Sure.” He stands up. “Gotta earns some respect from the boss.”

And so, they face each other and spar with each other. While doing so, the commander hopes he can learn a thing or two about him.

“I talked to Kaidan.”

“Did you now? Did he talked about us?”

“Yes.” Shepard responds.

“Figured. Was only a matter of time.” Y/N sounds like he doesn’t care. “Anything else you wanted to know?”

“Not that I think of it.” They continue to talk as they share some punches. “I respect your decisions. I just want to know there won’t be any problem between you two.”

“Nothing unprofessional, no. Personal though, can’t promise. It’s not easy to see your ex.”

“Ex?” Shepard is surprised to hear that. He thought Kaidan was talking about an old friend, not a boyfriend.

“Yeah, ex.” Y/N says. “We two used to be a thing back at BAaT. …Until we didn’t.”

Shepard hums. “Do you miss him?”

“Nope.” Shepard thinks he can hear some doubt in his answer. “He thought I was being ridiculous. I thought he was an asshole from ruining my chances. I doubt we get together any chance soon.”

“If you say so…”

“I really think we should stay out of it.”

“Nonsense.” Tali says with a hiccup. “This could be the love story we needed.”

While having a little R&R at the apartment Shepard got, the entire team is relaxing around the place. While at the bar, Shepard is chatting with Tali, Garrus and Liara.

“We only will be involved with business we aren’t even a part of.” Garrus continues sharing his doubt. “Besides, we all enjoy when the two roast each other.”

“Do I?” Liara questions. “I don’t think they have to be a couple, but they can at least bury the hatchet.”

“With looove.” Tali sounds cheery. “We just have them realize their true feelings. Aah, I know! This is the time for a drinking game!”

“Well, I wouldn’t say no to that.” Although still doubting in Tali’s intention, Garrus is more than happy to watch some fools drinking their asses off. “You two in?”

“I think I pass.” Liara respectively declines.

That’s when Garrus looks at Shepard, who can’t help but smirk. “Let’s get those idiots get back together.”

“That’s the spirit!” Tali cheers.

“What are we? High schoolers?” James asked, as he and the others sit around the living room. In the middle, there is a bottle.

“I saw this in a human made movie a long time ago.” Tali explains. “Such strange customs… but it seems fun!”

“Who even thought spinning a bottle and kissing someone else is a good idea?” Garrus asks.

“Who thought spinning a bottle and barely having any girls is a good idea?” James notes, as he just sees Tali. “Let’s me get some.” He stands up and walks around.

While waiting, the group chat with each other. Tali, however, who sits next to Shepard, whispers his name. “Shepard… Shepard…”

“Yes?”

“I rigged the bottle.” She shows off her system that is on her arm. “I can make it stop. Don’t tell anyone.”

Shepard chuckles. “I won’t.”

Soon, James came back with EDI, Jack and Miranda.

“Seems familiar, cheerleader?” Jack taunts Miranda.

“This seems more something you’re up to.”

“Girls, girls, chill.” James assures. “Let’s leave the passion for the game.”

Jack frowns. “Can’t we make it to punch each other?”

And so, the crew sit around the living room. It takes some time to until it’s Kaidan’s turn. Meanwhile, the remaining group members spin the bottle, with the one landing on it taking a shot. Tali manages to land on Garrus, though they kiss barely, since the lack of lips and an helmet. Shepard manage to land on Miranda. Jack lands on James, who opted for a punch instead and takes the shot. Then it’s finally Kaidan’s turn, who spins the bottle. Tali, despite really drunk, manage to time it right and lands it on Y/N, who smirks.

“Looks like fate decided for us.”

“And a dreadful one that is.” Kaidan frowns. “Can’t I take the shot?”

“Nooo, you have to kiss him!” Tali pleads.

Kaidan raises an eyebrow. “And Jack didn’t?”

“She gets a pass.” Tali answers.

“Why does she-?”

“C’mon, kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” Tali chants by herself, with the rest awkwardly looking at the scene. Kaidan merely frowns, not wanting to do it, causing Y/N to roll his eyes.

“You’re such a pussy.” Y/N stands up to walk towards his ex, causing him to look surprised.

“Wait, you’re seriously-?” That’s when he shuts up when he gets the other man’s lips on his.

“YAY!” Tali cheers. “I did it!”

After kissing, Y/N pulls back. Kaidan, however, looks back at the Quarian. “What did you do?”

“I put you back together.” Tali sounds proud of herself.

Garrus shushed her. “You aren’t supposed to say that.”

“Oh…” Tali then realizes she screwed up. “…Oops.”

“You set us up?” Y/N questions. He then looks at her equipment and then the bottle. “You screwed with the bottle, huh?”

“…Maybe.”

“You got to be kidding me…” Kaidan sighs. He then stands up and walks away.

Y/N, however, doesn’t look upset and merely sit down. Shepard though is the one who follows Kaidan. Once upstairs in the bathroom, the commander sees his friend putting some water on his face.

“You alright?”

“Try kissing your ex after being set up. Then you know the answer.” Kaidan says with some snark.

Shepard leans against the wall. “She had good intentions. We all thought it was good for you two to settle things.”

Kaidan looks back at him. “You knew about it?”

“Yes. Sorry.” Shepard says with honesty. “But we thought it was better you two figure things out, because right now, you aren’t. Despite what you two say to each other, I can tell there is something there. Something that tells me you two care for each other.”

Kaidan let out a sigh. “You think the same applies to Y/N?”

“Yes. He just shows it… more like an asshole.”

Kaidan chuckles. “He sure became one. And for whatever reason, I feel like he’s still the same guy.” He stays quiet for some seconds, thinking off what to do. “I talk to him.”

Eventually, Kaidan gets back downstairs. There, he sees Y/N talking with Garrus and Wrex. After requesting they can speak with just them two, and some teasing, they go upstairs and back in the large bedroom.

“So? Whaddaya want?”

“I think it’s time we talk things out.” Kaidan sits down on the side of the bed. “We both grow up and had plenty of time to think about it all.”

Y/N hums. He remains standing, standing against the wall. “What’s there to talk about? We’re both unhappy how things went.”

“Yes, but I’m also unhappy to lost someone I loved.” Kaidan says, with Y/N remaining quiet. “I can respect your decision for wanting to get a better life. You understand what I did and why, right?”

“…Yeah.” Y/N responds. “You wanted to protect a friend… even then at the time, you didn’t realized it was the end of my chances to become one of the upper biotic soldiers.”

“And yet, that chance didn’t end.” Kaidan points out. “Your with Shepard, the guy who will defeat the reapers. Our names will be set in stone as heroes for the rest of entirety.”

Y/N remains quiet. He walks over to Kaidan and sits down next to him. “I guess that makes things alright… It just seems stupid to think about, us breaking up after what happened.”

“You know what it’s even more stupid? Realizing what happened, but stubborn enough to not fix it.” Kaidan comments, with his voice sounding assuring. “But now, we have the chance to fix things.”

“You want us to be together again? After all what happened?”

“Yes.” Kaidan grabs Y/N’s hand. He gives his old lover a smile. “We worked so well years ago. And now we’re alright, we might as well catch up and be together.”

Y/N hums. “You’re such a weirdo.” He then smiles. “Fine then. Let’s be a couple. That way, you always have a boyfriend by your side who’s willing to beat anyone in the way.”

“I didn’t expect anything less.”

Anon, I was mildly looking forward to the Bad Buddy x Our Skyy 2 episodes, but it being mixed with A Tale of Thousand Star greatly increased my excitement!

Because I think Pat and Pran's argument is petty.

They are competing over a play, hoping the other loses, punching each other, and saying mean things behind each other's back while Tian and Phupha are existing in a relationship-ending moment where if they don't figure it out, Tian won't come back.

But that's the magic of Aof. What I perceive as pettiness from Pran and Pat is what will help them solve Tian and Phupha's issues, and what you see as pettiness between Tian and Phupha is what will and has already begun to enlighten Pran and Pat.

Pat always gives in to Pran. Tian always gives in to Phupha. They do this because they love their boyfriends. They don't do it begrudgingly. They want to give their boyfriends things that make them happy even if it means they have to sacrifice their own happiness.

So Tian asking Phupha to go with him to see his family once a year, when Tian lives in the remote village to be near the love of his life all year shouldn't be a big ask, but it is, and Phupha refuses to even consider it for valid reasons: economic status, perceptions of masculinity, sense of duty, and the biggest, Tian's father tasked Phupha to look after Tian which is still a point of contention between them because it goes back to how much does Phupha see Tian has his partner versus how much Phupha sees Tian as his responsibility.

Pran and Pat would love to be openly invited to each other's family gatherings, but they also always compete for everything. It's their love language, yet Pat always loses because he willingly gives in. And that comment he made struck a chord with Pran because it's the same argument Phupha and Tian are having - Does Pat think Pran wants to be with him or does Pat think Pran needs to be with him?

We know the answers to both of these, but these two couples are having two sides of the same argument: desire versus responsibility, want versus need, give versus take. Pat and Phupha are the same because they feel they must take care of Pran and Tian.

We know Phupha loves Tian, but how does he show Tian that? By hanging the mosquito net and lighting fires?

We know Pat doesn't think Pran needs him, but how does he show that? By accidentally allowing Pran to be in this remote village by himself for less than a day before he shows up to help him?

It's due to Aof's genius that even though Pat and Tian always give in, they are on opposite ends of the spectrum, and Pran and Phupha who always win, are as well. Because Aof is showing that regardless of who wins and loses, love shouldn't be a competition. What's the point of Phupha winning if he loses the person he loves? What's the point of Pat losing if he still keeps score?

Tian and Pran are lost in the forest. Phupha and Pat are out to rescue them. My biggest hope is that Tian and Pran get themselves out of the forest AND somehow rescue Phupha and Pat.

But even if they don't, I want both couples too see that they don't need each other to succeed. They want each other to be present for the success and the journey to get there. I want each couple to see they aren't responsible for each other's happiness, but that they want to be the reason the other person is happy.

Because it's a choice to love someone, with intention, every day, not a duty nor a competition.

Because at the end of all this, the amount of love both couples have for each other can make that house shake.

Because they can make any house shake with the way they chase after each other.

Ah the Spirit tortoise arc, relatively little actually changes surprisingly enough. Aside from the standard overhaul shenanigans that is.

Well for starters, with Ren a permanent addition to the shield family, he’s obviously not going to be with idiot #1 and idiot #2 bow edition.

Ren is actually pretty keen on doing the training, wanting to do his best when fighting side by side with his new family. He greatly respects Eclair and is genuinely excited about learning.

Come to find out, under the cool guy persona, Ren is a total historical arms nerd. From battle strategy to ancient arms and armour, he’s really knowledgeable about pretty much all of it. (Nao: hyperfixation? Ren: hyperfixation.)

Ren is the one to take on Keel as a slave.

Keel is 100% a trans guy and you can’t change my mind. Increasing son count to 2.

Meeting goes down pretty much the same, albeit with Naofumi giving power up advice that pretty much boiling down to “emotions and vibes, also all cardinal weapons are sentient beings with distinct personalities and.. what? Why are you staring at me like that?” and Ren backing him up. Needless to say, neither are believed. Ren also tries to help make the argument for the world not being a game. It helps a little with Itsuki, but not enough to fully convince him. Motoyasu (derogatory) is solidly unconvinced and it’s gonna be some time before he’ll come around to even listening to his fellow heroes.

Upon discovering all power up methods work, Ren tries again to convince Itsuki that this world is not a game, hoping to use the power up methods as proof of his claim. Results may vary but again Itsuki isn’t totally convinced. Though he promises Ren he’ll be more careful.

Don’t hold your breath, this promise lasts right up until the spirit tortoise appears.

Same as standard plays out except with Ren and the spirits. Also blood cursed naofumi and Ren.

I feel the concept of the blood curse is apparent to this niche community but for those who aren’t as familiar with our, shall we say, improvements; blood cursed is the term for the physical and magickal changes a hero receives after a near death experience from using the cursed series unique to their weapons. For Naofumi, this is an affinity for flame based spells and skills, significantly pointed ears, a tail, and almost neon green eyes with vertical slit pupils. For Ren, it manifests in the characteristic slit pupils and pointed ears, but also in an affinity for wind magic and a set of ornamental bat-like wings which he can use for speed and agility while jumping, but not flight. Said wings are easily hidden under his coat.

Much remains the same from this point on, aside from the aforementioned changes. At least until the otherworld arc 😈 post coming soon.
