it always makes me so incredibly happy when people view the characters similarly to me aswell bc like u mentioned they Are kinda prone to getting mischaracterized in some ways...... i think it mainly comes from both natsume and tsumugi having MANY factors to their characters though, and the mischaracterization comes from only highlighting one aspect of them and failing to think about how their different attributes overlap (although this can probably be said for the entire cast tbh). like an easy example that im sure everyone gets by now is natsumes little tsundereisms. if you only focus on him being rude to tsumugi it can look like hes just some edgy guy with anger management issues, but when you take into account other factors such as him having a rather spoiled upbringing both by his parents and nii-sans, and his distaste towards feeling "weak" (also caused by his upbringing, since he was frail as a child and raised as a girl) you start to see that oh. alot of that is just him being defensive and emotionally immature. since he had such a comfortable upbringing those hints of discomfort and vulnerability are threatening to him as someone who always had everything handed to him. and when you dont know how to deal with situations like that ASWELL as being afraid of being seen as "weak" youre Gonna start resorting to harsher words and sometimes even get physical because you have no clue how else to handle this. its also why the natsumes character consists of him being pretty obsessed with "growing up" and "not being a kid anymore," because he knows how immature he could be SKHDGJH he doesnt have bad intentions he just. doesnt know how to be vulnerable with people

hm. immediately? barring the answer of "doesnt know how to format" (not anything against these authors, it just makes it irksome to ime), it has to be if the concept is revealed to be trite within the first paragraph or so. i generally have a high tolerance for cheesy or bad fic, and i am willing to give most fic a shot. but a lot of the time i will click onto a fic expecting something and be surprised in a bad way.

the fact that she always acts like she doesnt care about what people think of her but she secretly gets very happy when people think she's really cool! in the finale for pso2 she complains about all the work she got sent to do but gets outed "you were very excited when they told you you were our ace in the hole" :')

this is kind of a biased question but im playing genshin a lot lately and i keep thinking of how she could translate into teyvat + the game's core mechanics, like what element she'd use and her weapon type (since she normally uses twin machine guns, and there are no dual wield weapons in genshin)

she's already very close to aurora so if not afin, then her. they both share very similar guilt and did decide together they would work to be better people to make up for it. plus aurora already does get eucie to talk about her feelings in the open, which is very, VERY rare

there's not many fics for her other than some my friends have written (to which im very biased LOL) so i cant really opinionate on this

oh boy im about to get absolutely destroyed but tododeku. i dont read established relationships much and i prefer lots of drama but the vibe i get from tododeku is theyd get together without much hassle so i just have no interest

13: unpopular opinion about bakugou?

ohhhh boy. i dont think theres anything i can say about him that hasnt been said before. the fandom has analyzed him to hell and back and honestly i think theyve got a pretty good grasp on his character at this point so i dont think any of my headcanons would really qualify here....

i think the biggest thing would be that i think he gets too much focus in the fandom. yeah hes the foil for the mc and hes had probably the most character growth out of everyone but there are other characters yall can obsess over smh.

also i think hes much more up front about how he feels than hes portrayed as a lot of the time. the shit he keeps to himself is either stuff hes still figuring out or stuff he feels guilty about but even in the case of the latter it comes up sooner rather than later (deku vs kacchan 2 for example). once he knows how he thinks/feels he doesnt really hide it. i think a lot of the time in fics he tends to keep things pent up or is sometimes a bit tsundere but honestly i think hes much more straightforward than that. hes not afraid of consequences because he very much believes he can overcome anything with enough effort so hes going to say what he thinks and deal with the results as they come up.

ngl though most of the fic i read is shippy stuff so this may not apply in non-romantic scenarios

10: most disliked arc? why?

the pre-ua arc. mostly because the only characters we see are all might deku and bakugou and im more invested in the dynamics of the class as a whole.

early bakugou is The Worst and while i think showing that is important in order to establish how he grows as the series goes on, its not something that i especially care to rewatch. i think looking back on cringey middle school times is always difficult for me irl or otherwise so its not really a complaint about bakugou specifically but yeah.

as for all might i frankly disagree with a lot of his views on being a hero and this is when most of them are established. every time i watch this i just want to argue with him lol

and with deku tbh im just not super a fan of him??? i think part of it is because a lot of his behavior thats emphasized in canon is stuff that i personally struggle with (his tendency to worry about others to the point that he completely neglects himself for one) and while overall i think this is something the series discourages i also want to shake him and scream at him every time he does this stuff. please value yourself small green child. (also all might encourages the self sacrificing stuff and sees it as a sign of being a True Hero and this is an excellent example of what i was talking about in the previous paragraph.)

also its always kinda bothered me that the initial couple episodes are all deku trying to become a hero without a quirk but a) hes not actually doing anything to get closer to his goal (unless you count the analysis of other heroes) like he knows he wouldnt be able to rely on a quirk but hes not even trying to figure out any more obtainable alternatives hes just saying "i want to do this thing" and then not putting any effort in until all might offers to train him. meanwhile characters who are equally committed to the same goal (bakugou and todoroki for example, although todorokis situation is complicated what with endeavor being The Worst and all) are training themselves physically in addition to strengthening their quirks. i would consider deku to be more on par with characters like kirishima who didnt commit to the hero thing until their last year of junior high but that just doesnt match up with the emphasis by both deku himself and the narrative that he has always really wanted to become a hero.

also the whole "i want to become a hero even though i dont have a quirk" thing gets resolved by him just. getting a quirk?? idk i feel like bnha toys with the idea of addressing quirkless discrimination but always just handwaves it away. like oh this character wants to do something that historically has never been achieved by someone with his disability. the resolution is that he no longer has the disability.

also in the case of touya it talks about his experience having a quirk thats incompatible with his body and how that affects him and shapes him but then it just gets kinda pushed aside by endeavors influence on the situation and instead of talking about how touya was affected by a bad home life and struggling with disability and being unable to accept his limits, it just becomes "endeavor was bad at dealing with the situation and then touya became a villain" idk it just keeps skirting around this stuff that i think is important from both a world building perspective and also applicable to actual things that irl people deal with but ultimately it just dismisses it as unimportant. like objectively saying "hey the mc is considered disabled and then in chapter three is magically no longer disabled" is a dick move. yes he struggles with adjusting but like?? the emphasis was on the disability and then it immediately just removed that factor and moved on to a New Problem (oh no the quirk is Too Awesome) (because he didnt bother to do any sort of training or anything to reach his goal until all might was in the picture)

i went on a big tangent but tldr a lot of the problems i have with bnha are especially emphasized in the first five episodes or so and because of that and my lack of interest in the characters with the most screen time (sorry deku stans) i just cant stand the "training to get into ua" arc

You can say that. I have no problem with the CANON MANGA BY TORIYAMA Vegebul. Each of them is the best the other could hope for.

But like i said in my tweets, i hate how the fandom views them. and that's like 99,2% of fandom and the only Vegebul i feel right was still in the original manga and it's not much or that romantic, and i havent found more than 2 fanfics that portrayed them LIKE they should be in my opinion, you can say whenever theres fantalk about Vegebul, there's a big chance i disagree with it, so it's like i hate the couple itself.

To say they are "soulmates", or "Bulma healed, domesticated him and change him", "he's just a angsty tsundere who needs some love" or "badass girlboss Bulma and househusband Vegeta" as if they are a kind of romantic Prince/Princess "Beauty and the Beast" story, is a gross misunderstanding of these characters and these sentiments are IN EVERY FANWORK IN EVERY POPULAR SHIPPING SPACE EVER for this couple, and most of the time it exists in juistaposition with Yamcha/Goku/Chichi bashing - Goku the actual puppy good husband/badass girlboss Chichi who tought him to live, and Rouge with a heart of gold Yamcha btw . And i'm just.....tired. 

Largely because I Love Vegeta - and now to second question - i love Toriyama’s version of Vegeta. We do only see his personality unfold after he met Goku and co, so fandom!Vegebul automatically means fandom!Vegeta, who existed and was invented on the whims of whatever people views this ship as, and not as himself. And same as fandom!Vegebul, i never found IC meta and fanwork for him.  Like i said just now and in my tweets: 

The thing is, people just DO NOT believe him when he says things about himself. They actively deny him his character to stroke Bulma’s ego just like she lied about him to Trunks to save her face. Things kept being made up about him, for they mistook him for Piccolo. When he says he doesnt care about his planet or Bulma or Trunks, he HAD to be tsundere lying and confused. or when Goku apparently dont know romantic love, that MUST mean Vegeta is the most kind, romantic Saiyan or the better father. Or when He “accepted” Bulma’s offer to stay thats totally bc he loved her already and not because her rich dad can make the best machines. Wnen he said he hated Frieza and was killed, it MUST mean that he was a victim of Frieza in some ways and needed Bulma/Goku to save him and fix him. or when he changed over time, it MUST mean that Bulma is a beast tamer whos this good girl that was wronged by Yamcha and came as his savior/damsel princess (like Gohan for Piccolo if you will make that comparison) and not because he MESSED UP SO MANY TIMES and REALIZED his short comings and HAD to change his outlook so that he doesnt destroy the last best thing in his life. When he turned Majin, it HAD to be HIM who’s confused and lied to himself and not because he CRAVED fighting as a Saiyan and Earth cant offer that or because Goku pulled SSJ3 out of his ass, and funnily just because he had heaven to train while Vegeta did not. 

He does NOT get the perfect status or family or friends who knew him as his “soulmates”. Just the only and the easiest, and he learned to accept that imperfection. That’s what his development is about. 

I love honest brutal, traditional-minded Vegeta. He was wrong about a lot of things and NOT someone you would want to “fix  but he was always honest and steadfast and consistent with his beliefs and approach to life and training for power, so consistent and simple that he COULDNT change for the longest time. That made him good for Bulma, who could lie and cheat and was spoiled rotten. (IN fact the only one that we see changd for the better out of Vegebul is Bulma)  And this ONLY quality i find MOST INSPIRING about him was totally lost in favors of fandom! Vegeta/Vegebul.

Anyone who doesn't echo the same opinion gets shut down quickly. They don't want a realistic portrayal of abuse survivors. When I first read vadd I was happy that the abuse was so severe because it would mean there was no way the author would find a way to excuse this kind of behaviour. It looked really like we were getting a revenge story. Imagine my disappointment when I got spoilered. You can't defend the duchy by saying it was just a misunderstanding. Calling Penelope slurs, denying her an education, isolating her from a social life, locking her up, starving her because she threw a tauntrum isn't being tsundere it's straight up abuse.

I have no problem if the vadd fandom simps for an abusive fictional character as long as they know what they do is abuse, but calling Penelope paranoid and partly guilty of the abuse as well is horrifying. How would the same readers react to an irl abuse case if they think the Eckarts behaviour is no big deal? I have the suspicion they only insist on the abuse being a misunderstanding because they think they are not allowed to simp for problematic characters if they aren't morally pure/misunderstood hence why they seek to justify their crimes somehow (hardcore Callisto stans are the greatest offenders here).

Mc got the male a limited edition teddy bear that he was eyeing when they were out after mc got mammon the teddy and gave it to him only for the male to turn bright red then run straight to his room and locked himself outside

Which gave mc the idea that he didn't like the teddy as they started to feel bad about it

'did he hate it that much' mc thought their lips turning into a small pout as they continued to knock on the male's door

"mc go away I don't want to see or talk to you" mammon yelled behind his door making mc sigh softly and walk back to their room

Mammon's face was a dark shade of red as he held the soft teddy bear in his hand mammon originally wanted to get the teddy bear for mc because he thought it would suit them and he didn't expect that mc would get it for him

He couldn't look mc in the face he was very embarrassed and happy at the same time he wouldn't mind having the teddy it was cute it was a light purple color with shiny golden eyes and a little bell around it's neck that made a soft noise if you move it

Mammon didn't want to be mean to mc he knows he probably made mc mad or sad because of him and he doesn't like mc being upset so he swallowed his pride and embarrassment down and decided to check up on his mc and make sure they're okay

Mc was sitting on their bed hugging their knees to their chest as they sniffed softly hugging their pillow their day wasn't going as planned and they were feeling bad

They wanted to make mammon happy they knew he loved getting gifts but he never liked any of the gifts mc got for him he would always run off and not talk to mc for a few days

Did he hate them? Mc always wondered he always says that they are a stupid human but some other times he says that mc is his human and that he is their first

Mammon was so confusing mc didn't know what to do about their feelings for the male the others said that he likes them and mc thought otherwise

They felt hurt thinking that he wouldn't like them back but maybe they need to stop thinking about mammon because that will make them feel worse

They couldn't get mammon out of their head and that was the problem and they didn't know what to do about it

A knock on their door pulled them back from their thoughts as they let the person at the door enter only to find mammon peeking through the door looking at mc with big eyes

Mc turns away from the door still feeling a little upset because of the male who pouted and entered the room closing the door behind him

Mammon sat on the bed still pouting at mc who didn't turn to look his way he felt too guilty to say anything so he just wrapped his arms around mc pressing his face to their back

"I'm sorry" mammon mumbled softly his arms tightly wrapped around mc who continued to stare at their wall mad at mammon who continued to apologize softly his face a dark shade of red

"please look at me?" Mammon says pouting more as mc sighed softly and turned around to look at him

Mc continued to pout puffing their cheeks out staring at the male who turned more red and pushed his face against mc's shoulder wondering how could they be so cute

"what do you want mammon leave me alone I'm not talking to you" mc says puffing their cheeks mammon mumbling something and wrapping his arms tighter around mc

"Please I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you mad" mammon says looking at mc with puppy dog eyes as they sighed and hugged the male back tightly

"stupid mammon always making me cry I hate you" mc mumbled into mammon's shoulder noticing the teddy bear that was on the bed next to mammon's leg

"I'm sorry I'm you're first man and I still make you cry I promise not to do that anymore I didn't hate the teddy I just didn't expect it" mammon mumbled in a soft voice taking hold of the teddy and putting it on mc's pillow

"why did you lock yourself and tell me to go away then" mc says pulling back from the hug and pouting at mammon who rubbed the back of his head softly

"well......I.....ummm......the great mammon was just getting his gift for you" mammon rambled an excuse coughing softly to hide his blush

The male did get something for mc but he wanted to give it to them later but it should be fine

He took a small box out of his pocket giving it to mc who stared in confusion at the male

"open it I got it for you I guess" mammon mumbled softly as mc opened the little box finding a golden necklace with a crow with a shiny red jewel in it's eye

Mc looked up at mammon who was looking back at them with a red face and s small smile

"want me to put it on for you?" Mammon says in a soft voice taking hold of the necklace when mc nodded and putting it around their neck

"do you like it?" Mammon asked as mc looked up at the male with a small smile before pulling him into a tight hug

"I love it thank you" mc mumbled into mammon's neck as the male turned red but hugged mc tightly back

"I forgive you but don't you dare do it again" mc says again as mammon nodded happily laying down with mc still in his arms the teddy bear resting between them two

As they both started to drift to sleep mammon smiled softly at mc kissing their head apologizing once more and promising to protect and take care of them for the rest of his life

Before someone says something, gntsu is in everywhere and i tried to like gntsu before, so i ended up absorving content.

Gntsus who are also Tskki fans, have a tendence of being super rabid abt her, so i thought they cared a lot of her, but when you see how they act, you start questioning who they like more, gntsu or Tskki? I already said it before, they take out Hinowa and Seita from her life, but it doesn't stop there, a lot of them prefer Tskki interacting with Gn or alone, rather them she staying with other girls (with a excpetion of Kagura sometimes) and they also get mad at ppl headcanon her as lesbian, bc y'know... or even when someone ships her with other women, some of them are ok with other ships for her, but then the person also needs to ship gntsu, think that it's better than their opposing ship and never talk bad abt gntsu, so... And there's still the fact they think Tskki crush on Gn is a sacred thing, as if her character loses a giant part of herself if she's not crushing on him? They got real mad man, even say stuff like "If you don't like gntsu or prefer her crushing someone else, you're a misogynist! Plus how dare you don't want her to be happy? She only can be happy with this man, if you don't like this, you don't like her character because you're against her happiness!" i hate these kind of fandoms omg, it's like they arrest Tskki to with gntsu, y'know? And i not gonna even start with how they have Red Spider Arc as their favorite...

Despite that, her character in fanon doesn't stray that much from her og character, she still is a tsundere, which get frustraed easily and doesn't know how to show much affection, but she's way too submissive, because in every f/m ship they need to make women the submissive one, there's some exceptions same if it's totally out of her character.

Right now, Gntoki... A super funny thing, is that they don't hold him with gntsu, as they do with Tskki (HOW FUNNY ISN'T IT?).

About content, i know it's their content, they do what they want blah, blah, blah, but why Gntoki never looks like Gn? He's charming, cute, affectionate, romantic, clingy (Gn hates clingy ppl, how ironic), the only traits he still has are sweet addiction, being a shounen jump fan and a perv... His laziness? He not being able to show affection as well? Being broke? His addiction to games of chance? His mental scars from war? Fuck that! Let's make him a man from generic romance #5034... Hi i read your post about why Kacchako would be bad for canon and it was presented well. I wanted to know what your view is about entire fight itself since the ship stems from Aizawa's praise for Bakugou's violence and then apart from LNs there is the Omake which i feel is also a cause since here she doesn't show any hatred or bitterness towards Bakugou while standing up for Izuku and in one occasion in the same Omake praises Izuku's bully because he was violent with her.

In Bakugou vs Uraraka, audience only reacted because Uraraka is a girl. Thats why Aizawa defended Bakugou and explained that this is his way of respecting his rival. Doesnt matter its girl or not. And fandom liked it for same reason too and after this fight, Uraraka work on herself more, loosing made her stronger, thats probably why people shipped it but problem with this fight and others was never abour beating girls or not. It was heroes being unnecessary violent, even for just training so it was a problem with hero society thing.

Thats why i hoped eventually this will get adressed but well, we are in chapter 338s and still waiting. Yeah, it was mentioned by villains like Shigaraki many times but 1- heroes never really thought about it, still* dont think about it. 2- i really wanted Bakugou and some characters actually thought about that fight and other fights and get good lesson from it.

Not just Uraraka, many characters praise Bakugou for being the way he is, again it was supposed to be one of the flaws of society, still waiting for it to be adressed.

And Uraraka-Bakugou ship, its a cliche dynamic. Angry bad tsundere boy x positive cheerful good girl dynamic. You can easiely see this in shoujo manga series more. 'Girl changing/healing the boy'. Classic romanticized abusive relationships and people wanting Bakugou to be more important, looking for partner for him. Thats why its being shipped, i think. Though, i dont care that much anymore.

rambling abt my thoughts on skk bc.. yeah tw under the cut for abuse/toxic relationships !!!!!

honestly i do think theres a layer of queer coding to dazai and chuuyas relationship, like i can understand how people would come away with that interpretation. but that does not mean its a good ship or a healthy ship. like its just.. undeniable. even if dazais treatment of chuuya isnt abusive and he doesnt consistently do awful horrendous unspeakable things to him just a few things should be enough of red flags on their own.

chuuya just. has a total lack of autonomy, dazai is the one who calls the shots and chuuya doesnt exactly get much choice.

this can be seen from the way he recruits chuuya, threatening to kill the sheep if chuuya didnt join. sure, dazai likely didnt have much of a choice either but that doesnt make it acceptable and the affects this has on chuuya are still very real.

another way we see this is the 'dog for life' bet, which in the moment seemed like it was being played off as a joke but we can see in the credits later that dazai was serious about this. he even goes as far as to yell at chuuya for working with kouyou? which should be enough of a red flag on its own.

also !!! its extremely likely he calculates chuuyas every move and has even manipulated him to act or behave in certain ways knowing if he says or does a certain thing chuuya will do what he wishes. theres no real evidence of this in canon but i do think its incredibly possible.

i really do think their relationship is well written and i hope it gets expanded on in the future but part of the reason i cant stomach the ship is the way shippers handle chuuyas character. his rightful anger towards dazai and lashing out is minimized and turned into him just being a 'tsundere.' it takes the little control he has and gives it back to dazai, making him powerless in the situation once again. not only is this just gross but its also incredibly uncomfortable. as someone who acts defensive, aggressive, and irritable due to trauma and to protect myself from further trauma i would be beyond livid and possibly even sent into a spiral if my anger was turned into me just being a silly little tsundere.

but yeah theres my essay

tl;dr: i think chuuya and dazais relationship is queer coded but cant bring myself to ship them because of their power dynamic. dazai has full control over and seems possessive over chuuya and chuuya would lack autonomy in a relationship. i also think its gross and uncomfortable how chuuyas anger towards dazai is played off as him being a tsundere by the fandom.
