Hi!!! Hope you’re doing well - I just want to take a moment to gush before I ask something, because I’ve really enjoyed your blog since finding it:
1: your writing is SO good I’ve reread your dunmesh fics several times now & just eat them up every reread. I’m stoked you also have funger content & can’t wait to eat those up
2: your blog’s aesthetic is just 🤌🤌 chefs kiss
3: your chilchuck’s wife fic - I’m convinced you are the chilchuck expert you characterized him so well (& the bit in the 3some fic when he choked the reader ? gulp)
OKAY on the with the actual question: I was wondering if you have any chil thoughts for the chilfuckers? Maybe some sfw / nsfw?
thank youuu :] i'm so glad to provide for the dungeon community with both meshi and funger <3 and also extra glad to make the chilchuck people proud, he's my fav lil man
i have so many chilthoughts bc i am a verified chilfucker i need that middle aged man
nsfw chilthoughts
MEAN mean man
Likes to make his partners huff and whine, especially if they start haughty or mouthy
Facefucking, especially, for the mouthy ones. Wants to shut you up and make you drool
Lately the thought of Chilchuck fist-fucking a bigger race has been making me sweat… like yeah lil man, get up in that thang… I need to write it. Maybe some dwarven wench who keeps mocking Chil, or an ogre that feels its appropriate to pick n lift him up while working
Schrodinger’s breeder kink - sometimes its all he’s thinking about and sometimes the thought is entirely uninteresting
Touched on it a BIT in my body swap fic but i think Chil has a really sensitive neck and likes being held there (maybe not choked, but grabbed and stroked for sure)
Has a secret goon for younger partners but doesn’t like admitting to it, the taboo of it makes him all hot especially since he knows most other races can’t tell. Like a VERY poorly kept secret that could ruin his distinguished reputation
i also have chilchuck fic ideas that i haven’t fleshed out, but thought it’d be a shame if they sat in my ‘puter unseen:
Idea 1: Reader is a young elf, only about 72, and against all odds began dating Chilchuck. On his 30th birthday, it's brought to attention that you’ll be in your 90s when he dies. Leading to a spiral wherein you’re just trying to live in blissful ignorance to your races’ lifespan difference, and Chilchuck assumes you’re mature enough to handle his death, move on, and remember him fondly… lol… anyway. When Chilchuck dies you study how to maintain your own mana without a dungeon and practice minor healing spells until you can do a full revival, which fails on Chil, so you have to turn to dark magic. Basically rewinding his life until he’s the same age as when you two met and he’s upset you brought him back because YOU could get in major trouble and that’s when you confess you didn’t tell anyone when he died bc you knew you’d bring him back -- and you’re a nutcase that keeps doing this every time he dies despite knowing he wants to die peacefully. Omg loving someone so much you need them at all costs even ruining their perception of you…
Idea 2: Chilchuck helping a 20-ish(+?) y/o half-foot negotiate a contract for themself and he thinks they’re soooooo cute so they get together, and he’s kinda nervous to bring them around cuz you’re crazy young compared to him. Not even a child to speak of GASP. The party doesn’t notice at ALL cuz they have no idea about anything about half-foot aging and customs -- but his daughters look at him sideways lmao
and this is literally not even a full fic idea but i have a note from my chilchuck master doc for you lol

We Interrupt This Blog To Show You Something Awesome
Omori has a Lego Ideas set! This awesomeness is brought to you by designer FoodIsScarce.
Under the cut, I'll be showing more images, explaining my thoughts, and give clarifications on how Lego Ideas works for this set. But if you want to skip that, link is here.
Lego Ideas Neighbor's Room and White Space Set Breakdown
To start off, this set has a whopping three components, all of which stand alone.
First, we have Neighbor's room!
The colors are honestly so nice in this mock-up. Lego has a fairly limited palette, but being bright and poppy works really well here.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c6d7b5275b5156d064543c5b3328c9b4/fb5ac21dea7612a7-c8/s540x810/f6bad2ab1f4539208a9d3afcbe1fe92f1d6a39bb.webp)
Compared to the in-game room, it's pretty compact, but that makes sense so it doesn't dominate your shelves. Everything important is there, to outstanding detail. The leaves may ride up higher above the doorframe, but it doesn't break the immersion for me. It all feels like a piece of really nice fanart or even concept art.
The yellow cat is the centerpiece and I am very impressed with it. It isn't as stretched out as the original, though that's affected by the build size, but the shape of the paws, ears and head are spot-on and the face sticker really sells it.
Also, building the set sideways so it's smooth? Genius in my books. Sure, the minifigs won't stick, but all the smooth edges in this make the set stand out from Lego's lineup without seeming like a jarring oddity. Kind of like Omori's world compared to a bunch of other RPGs, really, so it's fitting.
I guess if I have a nitpick it'd be that the leaves are entirely different in vibe due to being all fluffy and rounded instead of the big sharp shapes in the original, but I don't think that's even really a bad thing. Just part of the Lego-ifying process. Also I groan at how I know I will place the cat's eyes wrong. Stickers are the bane of my existence. For Yellow Cat though, I would in theory persist.
Next, we have Mari's picnic blanket!
Gotta be honest, this caught me off guard, even as someone who was keeping track of this project for a while, but this is AWESOME. Colors are nailed, the existing basket and fruit pieces translate so well, and I just want to place all my fave figs on it immediately. I do hope that Mari's square could be subbed out with something with studs to keep her in place, as nothing else seems to be (maybe the basket has a 1 by 2 piece keeping it locked?).
I think it's an excellent choice even if it doesn't appear in either main room because you can plonk it by any other set or the huge pile of loose bricks you haven't gotten around to sorting yet and boom. You've just made a new corner of Headspace!
Last but certainly not least, White Space!
The computer and tissue box I think were really well done. Smooth place also tickles my fancy. I'm not as sold by the suspended light bulb; some white walls that maybe has a claw on the side would have helped sell the room more to me, I think. But it's solid.
And then you get to my favorite part in the room:
Original creator, you have my vote.
What about the minifigs?
This set still has you covered!
In this current iteration it includes six minifigs for your main characters as well as the cat and snake seen in earlier pictures. Everyone except Hero and Mari seem to be those shorter models, which always used to annoy me as a kid cause I couldn't bend the legs, but gets a pass here because remembering that height difference is nice.
The hair is a hot point of contest with the comments and Reddit posts. I'll explain more below, but Lego Ideas has rules about custom molds for new figures, so these were the closest the creator could get. And hey, I think Hero is spot on!
All the outfits and faces are custom prints, which are far easier than custom molds, and I think were done really well! Basil's top might be a bit bright, but otherwise the colors are perfect, and so is all the printing.
I also saw that Mari, Basil and Aubrey all had one extra face, which is rad. Not sure yet if Hero and Kel do too or if it's just the girls (I should assume Omori is just slate-faced as ever).
Just one more note: I love how spoiler-free this set is. You know everything in the first few moments of play. Our community is really bad with spoilers, I admit, so this is perfect for a shelf.
Here's some pics of them in action:
How does Lego Ideas even work? Is my vote worth it?
Short answer: Heck yeah!
Long answer:
Lego Ideas is a really popular program with a lot of new builds all the time, and people put a lot of work into both the models and promoting them just for the off-chance of it becoming a product.
I compiled some questions you might have based on this set specifically, but there's plenty of info yourself if you want to learn more.
How does a set get selected?
Lego Ideas has three intake periods a year for products that get over 10k signatures between the last period and that date. Each intake only has a select few that actually get to that mark; the record number in 2021 according to Wikipedia is 57 in one 2021 intake. It sounds like a lot, but in the site's 10-year run it's had over 135,000 ideas shared, not including a bunch that would have been struck down prior to going live due to breaking rules.
Each set gets 60 days to meet that goal on first launch, then an additional 365 once 100 people have signed on. Getting 1,000 supporters gives you an extra 6 months on top of that, and 5,000 (the halfway mark) another 6 months.
Meeting that 10k mark is non-negotiable for that specific set to receive the expert review through Ideas, though successful ideas that are lower may spark inspiration from their own teams.
Do I need to pledge money?
No! Lego Ideas is not a Kickstarter or crowdfund campaign. Those ask for money as they need a way to produce and distribute the product. Lego handles this on the creator's behalf.
All you need is to make a free Lego account and click the support button. You don't even have to enable email notifications on signup.
Where will I find the set then if it's made?
Anywhere else you find Lego! Even toyshops I go to have a small shelf for Ideas sets. If none of your local retailers have it, it'd be on online storefronts worldwide.
But Omori is a licensed product!
So are most of Lego Ideas' concepts that make it to becoming a set! Out of the 65 sets announced and confirmed for production (or who have already had their run!) just 29 are not tied to an IP.
So Omocat will be involved?
Yes. If the idea gets far enough, Lego would reach out to Omocat and any other copyright holders of Omori to discuss how to proceed. They will also get a say in any tweaks, and likely make a licensing fee off of Lego.
However, due to the Ideas streamline, the set likely won't be sold on Omocat's storefront (and if they are, it'd be because Omocat got a few sets to sell from them; they'll never be exclusive to Omocat's store).
Will the creator get paid?
If it makes it, yes! Lego Ideas people get a 1% cut. It's not much, but for all the work it gets to 10k I think it's earned.
But Omori isn't for kids!
Guess what: Neither are most Ideas! They're packed in black boxes and kept near the architecture and more advanced Technic sets targeted towards adults. Each set also has an age recommendation based both on set difficulty and the IP.
Is Omori even appropriate for Lego as a brand?
Omori is on the list of approved IP for Lego Ideas. This may be reviewed, but I think it will remain appropriate both because the set does not portray any of the concerning content in the game and because of the nature.
Lego says they won't make sets for franchises built around graphic violence, alcohol, or sex. Omori lacks all that. I doubt it would be yanked down based on that.
I don't care about Omori. Why should I support this?
First, why did you make it down here?
And second, look. I get it even as a fan. But if we can get an Omori set even to the review stage, that opens up the door for people to try with all other kinds of indie franchises. Undertale, Oneshot, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, whatever you think of!
Lego Ideas is a portal to Lego working with IP that isn't just owned by a mega corporation, and I think that is awesome.
I signed! What else can I do?
Spread the word! Reblog this post, tell your friends about it, repost (with links and credit) to other social media. Every little bit helps on the road to 10k, to catch Lego's attention, or even just to inspire someone else with a set idea they worry is too niche to share.
Cause this isn't just about Omori. It's about supporting the creativity of a dedicated fan who spent a long time working on something clearly inspired by a game held closely. And I am always going to support that.
Thank you for reading this far! If you're a regular, sorry for the break, lol. I will get back to regular posts soon. I just had an exam so am still a bit drained.

You know what always was the weirdest and most Western brained counter to racist white people about their shitty opinions about food from #foreign cultures? Making shitty just as racist remarks about white people food preparation… which ironically also exists in the #foreign cultures they're trying to defend.
like you're not actually doing anything by mocking how animals are killed by white people, when the topic is how #foreign cultures kill animals. I know this is hard to understand, but going on the offensive in this case makes you sound like a nutjob. Eg if some white militant vegan Karen bitches about an indigenous kid killing a whale for feed their entire village, then the right move is to mock that Karen and tell her to eat sand. (No, don't be extra nutty by doing death threats) It is not particularly supportive to then mock the traditional killing of an animal for food to feed a village from white cultures either. (Yule pig) -Bonus ironically also still present in many poc cultures especially villages, where an animal will be slaughtered to feed the entire village. Like... the only thing you're telling us is that you're actually on the same side as Karen, and find the act of mocking traditional food preparations perfectly find and dandy and that you have no problem being just as hypocritical as those racist white folks.
The problem isn't the food preparation or killing or feeding of the village. The problem here is the racism, you didn't actually fight the racism by attacking the food or the preparation and trying to redirect it, you've just internalized and made the "racist against food" a part of your own mindset, and still ended up basically mocking anything not Western.
--
I have to facepalm at some of the things the blogs devoted to mocking white people food think are "white".

Give an out of "character" ask for this. Otherwise, you're just wanting to deny that you are making fun of trauma survivors.
Your blog is not satire. You're making fun of HC-DID, a term heavily associated with RAMCOA survivors. If you had satire in mind, you would not be doing what actual bigots have done repeatedly- fake systems to farm interactions and interact with people not in on it. The big member count- making fun of polyfragmentation, also really common with RAMCOA systems and a part of traumatized systems. Within the past year there was a group of people from systemscringe that made up fake systems in order to mock RAMCOA survivors and interact with them while pretending to be genuine, especially on posts where people were clearly struggling. This was only months ago. RAMCOA survivors are still recovering from people doing that, and it will have devastating long term impacts such as disinformation.
There's no point to your "satire." It's just "Haha look how fucking stupid these people I don't like are if I pretend to be like my strawman version of them for clicks." If multiple RAMCOA survivors (Us included) and others have told you to stop and reconsider this blog existing, maybe you should stop and consider what you are doing and listen to the demographics you are hurting. The "I'm a RAMCOA system and I think this is funny" anon isn't the only one out there, and fellow survivors can also be ableist dickheads about RAMCOA.
Your "satire" is identical to bigotry we have seen time and time again. You're just an ableist if you say and do all the things an ableist does- no amount of "it's just a joke" excuses it. I am not extending a chance for private conversation here not because I want to attack you, but because I do not think taking this privately will be done in good faith.
There's a few layers of separation between actively saying someone's trauma never happened and "making extra terms to make your personal experience of the disorder out to be objectively worse than someone elses is unhelpful trauma olympics, and if people kept one-upping each other like this we'd have a million letters before DID".
That anon isnt the only self described "ramcoa survivor" that has reached out to me. Hell, i used to use the term "ramcoa" to describe my own trauma at one point. While i take issue with the antisemitic and conspiracy roots of the term itself, my criticism has nothing to do with the idea of "trauma under this umbrella is fake" and everything to do with the actions and choices people make on the internet.
I have seen countless times where people self describing with ramcoa have shit on others for having "less severe trauma" because they didn't spend time unloading their entire trauma history before daring to interact. I have watched the community play "who has it worse" countless times, birthing terms like c-did and hc-did. I've seen people claim "polyfrag" while clearly having no knowledge of the term and its history (or mostly, lack thereof) and only doing it because they saw someone else doing it in places like sysblr. I've seen people claim to be "splitting" en masse over random interests, which is frankly not how that shit fucking works.
I clearly put in the blog description that this is satire - satire of the online community, of the laughably toxic mentalities that people on EVERY side engage with (including anti endos), of the way people parrot off of each other constantly. If you view my jokes about having the "objectively worse trauma ever" and "1e504 headmates" as a personal attack, maybe that's a sign to consider reexamining how you interact with online spaces, and why you feel you need to share extremely personal information and are entitled to receive zero criticism on how you speak about a clinical diagnosis in the process.
The point of my satire is to nitpick, to laugh, to take things to a further extreme than people already do. If others are allowed to joke about the disorder, then why shouldn't i get to joke about the community doing it to a degree that becomes misinformation? At what point does this constitute ableism, but outright twisting medical information to fit your (general you) own narrative and spreading fearmongering about going to therapy and seeking diagnosis doesn't?
I'm sick of all of sysblr, all of syscourse, all sides of it. That's why I'm here doing this. And if that makes me a bully to people who would've treated me like SHIT for my symptoms and trauma, or for not going out of my way to drop a 12 page essay about everything I've been through and experienced to "justify" feeling this way, then I'm not really that inclined to care anymore.

This was humiliating.
He’s not quite sure which of the golden goddesses he pissed off (probably all of them, if he had to be honest), but this was a little much even for him.
The vinyl clung to his waist in a near suffocating grasp, squeaking with his every move, and the dumb hat clipped to his hair was pulling at his roots and giving him a headache. Even the heels on his feet pinched his toes and gave his heels blisters. It was as degrading as it was humbling.
But the worst part about it?
The worst part of it all was your eyes, raving over him like a ravenous beast. He could practically see the drool pooling in the bottom of your jaw as he stepped closer, dress creaking as he went. When you first asked him to do this, making sure your pleading hands were held in front of your bandaged chest for extra pity, he didn’t think too much about it. It made you happy. And that was all that mattered to him. Your happiness was the very air he breathed, with your shiny smiles and the gems that dazzled in your eyes.
At this point however, he’d consider suffocating.
“Hello, nurse.” You grinned, lips curling into a sharp, mocking smirk. “You’re looking well.”
His teeth ground together so hard he could hear them.
He said nothing, instead moving to perch beside you on your bed, feeling your eyes on him. Avoiding your gaze, he scowled. “How are you feeling?”
“Better.” You nodded without a care in the world. “But, I’d feel even better if a certain nurse wasn’t so grumpy.”
“Yeah, well, you put me in this stupid fucking costume-”
“It’s a uniform.” You huffed before moving to sit up, “And it’s not all that bad.”
He shook his head, practically snarling at you as he threw his hands up in the air.
“What could possibly be redeemable about this-”
All objections died on his tongue as your hand, warm and soft, snapped under the dress, fingers prodding as his cock. He instantly choked on his words, one hand falling to practically strangle the bed sheets as the other dropped to clap down unto his mouth. Something entirely sinful left his lips as you moved your hand up and down, just the slightest, that same smile adorning your features.
“For one,” You started, watching as his shoulders shook and his thighs tensed. He hadn’t been expecting the action so suddenly and almost instantly it had him exactly where you wanted him.
Your fingers, ever dexterous and nimble, picked up a steady rhythm of featherlight touches, teasing him and feeling his cock come to life under your touch. Precum dribbled past the head, staining the front of his boxers as he bit his palm to refrain from crying out. Every part of it was so much, so fast and it felt like lightning was frying every one of his nerve endings as your fingers sped up.
Then you withdrew completely and he was snapping a cold, hard glare your way.
You simply smiled and held up your shiny fingers. “Easy access.”

They think so because of his choices in chapter 2. I remember them being so defensive when anons asked them about why JK had songs with female protagonist and mocked antis for thinking that he's het, said female subject is for the technicality. But the same person is saying his chapter 2 decisions looks like he's preparing Fandom for a dating reveal with a woman just so he can show a partner of opposite gender to the society, for convenience. They said he will never ever reveal a male partner, understandable. We all know both of them are not gonna explicitly come out but they can always keep quiet and decide not to have any public relationship... there are many korean actors who are 40+ but have no public gf or relationship till now. They say Jikook may remain as Tony and Jaeduck ? Idk.. that couple but also says he will leave Jimin for a better future.. because that's what his social status in korea is.
Previously they said even his antis in kside don't believe that leaked video as it was blurry and even if it's real it doesn't mean they are dating. Now she's saying his video with that woman didn't made any noise in kside because they are already prepared for a dating news and kinda know about it.. just like taennie. They have a side blog where they stan other kpop groups and ship some of duos, there they said none of kpop ships comes close to what Jikook has. Recently they said no one in their right mind in Kside even cares about Jimin Daeun rumor as it's BS... but I bet in next week they are gonna say Jimin is also preparing Fandom for a dating reveal with her 🤡🤡🤡🤡 coz that opposite r their answers from one to another ask lol.
This is the same person who thinks JK didn't had any extra push from company, it's all his power and he deserves a grammy for seven when we all know how much scooter pushed seven to be top. This is the same person who thinks Jimin wasn't even sabogated or how everyone is living in lalaland at hybe.
This is not making followers insecure but straight up maniacs. Every Jikooker in right mind will always keep it in mind that maybe we could be wrong about them. But straight up mocking them saying Jikook are in love but also JK is getting ready for a dating reveal with a girl is so ???? 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Oooooohhh I see. Thanks for the explanation.
I see what they are saying here and in part I understand what they mean or where they are coming from.
It's not so crazy a theory to be honest. It's nothing that hasn't happened before. People fake date, spread relationship rumors or even marry to cover up their gayness. And if you are dating a closeted person who tend to develop that insecurity cos there's always that possibility they will burrow further into the closet than stand in their truth and claim you choose you or fight for you and with you.
I think Lil Nas X has a video that explores this much prevalent and painful queer experience you can check it. It's I want. Troye Sivan too. Blue Neighborhood watch/listen to the entire song series. Particularly Talk me down. Those are just my favorite queer artists but there's more who touch on this aspect of queer experience.
Partner abandonment is a huge challenge that faces the community especially as not everyone has the strength or luxury to stand and live their truth.
Hearing you say these things about Jikool actually makes me sad 😔
I don't want yet another "friend" to abandon Jimin😔
He already complained of friends betraying him and all and how he does so much for their love and I think he deserves love he deserves happiness he deserves someone who's interactions with him will heal him and nourish him and I think Jungkook- whatever you think their relationship status is- does that for him😔
People are so cruel when they say I wish Jikook break up, or that Vmin is crap and Jimin needs to cut Tae loose, like yall are wishing for Jimin to be abandoned 😔
You are wishing for him to experience the pain and trauma of partner separation or disconnecting from his primary sources of connection be it friendship or romance. All because you hate Tae and JK. They wish Tae Kook with develop a connection and "free" Jimin. And these are his fans yall. His own "fans."
For Jikook this is not something new to them either, all these "tattoo girl scandal" and Paris club scandal and rumor has it they have a gf and thus and that- they are all just ploys to cleanse their queer image by fans and to some extent the company who plays complacent in these situations neither refuting those rumors or refuting them too late whether advertently or inadvertently.
There's a queer idol who said his management would deliberately leak rumors about him dating girls or would ask him to build his body and become hyper masculine just so he appears "straight" to the public.
So perhaps you an disagree with her takes on these. I certainly do- unless Jungkook has done something really controversially gay I don't see why they would want to stage a queer cleanse for him this time around.
I mean he even said he wasn't dating no girl. If he wanted to queer cleanse he would have kept absolutely quite about it- at least for a while just as Hybe asked the tattoo girl to keep quiet about those rumors. Later she had to come out and throw hybe under the bus because the rumors were harming her- until she of course switched up and played it up.
It's messy. Kpop is messy.
Everyone is entitled to their views. Time will tell which views are more accurate than not is what I always say.

Howdy! We're new to having a plural Tumblr sideblog, but not new to being a system.
We’re C&C (Chris & Claire), a two-person DID traumagenic system with a few extra doses of Maladaptive Daydreaming characters sprinkled in. You may have seen us on my main blog or my Geoguessr blog. Or you may not have. We’re pan-ace, multiply disabled, and bodily 35 years old.
Chris/uzworm/uz (He/Him) - The perpetual fronter, the first one here, the de-facto owner of our body. Twitch streamer, discourser, and amateur meme historian. The closest thing to a voice of reason between the two of us. Used to write when he was younger but didn’t actually get any good at it until after people stopped paying him for it. 95% of the words you’ll read from this account will come from him. Birthday 9/29.
Claire (She/Her) - The newcomer. Has been around since at least ~2003, though we consider her to only be a few years younger in mind/spirit than Chris, if not the same age. Trans woman, whose coming out in 2020 is what caused us to realize we were two separate people. Her deadname was also a Resident Evil character, which is upsetting. Gremlin who types like a sixth-grader and uses too many emojis. 🤭 If she’s fronting, you’ll be able to tell. Also goes by the username “Clairesonality” on Twitch. Birthday 11/20, because we don’t know her actual birthday but 11/20/20 was when we realized we were plural.
We don’t believe in DNIs; anyone we would list on one is probably the type who would break one. That said, if you’re exclusionist in any way, or a bigot, you’re not gonna like us. So maybe steer clear unless you want a mock and block.
To be clear, this blog doesn’t care about “anti-endo” or any other related arguments. We were on Tumblr for the famed "ace discourse" back in the day, along with truscum/tucute etc. movements, and our entire political philosophy is built on community, understanding and anti-exclusonist nonsense, so we have no time for any of that shit.
Our avatar art is by Kaaylien. Banner art is pixel art by us, based on the music video for the B.O.B/Bruno Mars song "Nothin' On You".

✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Ciara was just coming out of another class one late afternoon, when suddenly a rush of students passed her by. They all were chattering loudly, heading for what she assumed, by their direction, was the courtyard. Whatever was happening, was big.
Obviously, she followed the crowd, finding herself pushing to the front of the cluster of onlookers in the colonnade. It was as if the entire student body had deposited themselves out in the courtyard.
What Ciara saw at the center, made her catch her breath.
Professor Trelawney stood, shaking, with two large trunks sitting behind her, her crystal ball clutched desperately in her one hand. Filch walked up to her, depositing another briefcase at her feet.
Umbridge walked through the crowd of students, approaching Trelawney with a horrible smirk.
“S-sixteen years I’ve lived and taught here!” Trelawney cried, “H-Hogwarts is m-my h-home! You can’t do t-this!”
The pink-clad monster held up a thick piece of paper,
“Actually...I can” she said with mock sympathy.
The crowd around her was then jostled, as Professor McGonagall quickly made her way into the center of the courtyard. The older professor approached Trelawney, bringing her in for a hug. The divination teacher let out a quiet sob, and a single hand came up to cover Ciara’s mouth, distraught at what she was watching unfold.
McGonagall glared forward at Umbridge.
“Something you’d like to say dear?” Umbridge challenged.
“Oh, there are several things I’d like to say.” McGonagall fired back.
Suddenly the large oak doors at the front of the courtyard slammed open, and from them marched Dumbledore, who was heading outside with terrifying purpose. Everyone watched him in silence as he approached the scene.
“Professor McGonagall-” he started, “-might I ask you to escort Sybill back inside?”
Professor Trelawney let out a gasp in relief, as McGonagall ushered her forward. The younger woman muttered a few hundred "thank you’s" as she passed Dumbledore by, and the headmaster gave her hand a reassuring squeeze before McGonagall got her back inside.
“Dumbledore-” Umbridge said, her jaw locked. “May I remind you that under the terms of Educational Decree Number Twenty-three, as enacted by the Minister-”
“-you have the right to dismiss my teachers.” Dumbledore interrupted, “You do not, however, have the authority to banish them from the grounds. That power remains with the Headmaster.” he corrected.
Umbridge puffed out her chest slightly,
“For now” she responded threateningly.
Dumbledore sent her one last hardened expression, before turning back around and making for the castle once again.
“Don’t you all have studying to do?” he called out to the students.
Everyone immediately dispersed at the sound of his voice.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Later that evening, Ciara was up late in the Slytherin common room, taking extra notes from her Divinations textbook. It was well into the night hours, most of the house was fast asleep, but she just couldn’t stop thinking about what Umbridge had done to Professor Trelawney and to everything else in the school. So, she tossed herself into her studies, forcing herself to focus on something else for a while.
About an hour later, the peace of the room was suddenly broken, as the sound of light footfall echoed off of the wall.
She lifted her head up only briefly to see that the person was Draco, and that he seemed to be heading for the lounge area as well. Sighing slightly, she returned to her book, pulling her knees tighter underneath her.
She heard him sit down in one of the chairs, and it was quiet at first. But of course, that didn’t last long.
"Trust you were in the courtyard then?” he stated, in reference to the book she was reading, “You saw what happened?”
“It was awful” Ciara replied simply, not looking up from her book.
She heard Draco scoff,
“Oh, come on, she’s alright now. Shouldn’t that be what matters?” he asked, sounding bored.
Ciara scowled down at her book,
“That’s not the point, Malfoy” she spat, “That pink witch is going crazy with power. And to take it out on someone like Professor Trelawney, it isn’t fair.”
She paused slightly, taking a breath to compose herself, finally looking up at him.
“That woman has nowhere else to go” she said lowly, “You don’t have a clue what that’s like.”
It fell quiet again, and Draco looked down at his lap, seemingly ashamed. Ciara nodded a bit in satisfaction, evidently it was possible to get through to Draco Malfoy if you tried hard enough. The common room was peaceful for a minute or two, the crackling of the fire and the occasional paper flip of Ciara’s textbook being the only sounds heard.
“It’s still a rather odd class, don’t you think?” Draco suddenly piped up again.
Ciara shook her head,
“It’s a genuine discipline” she answered back flatly.
“Yeah?” he challenged, “Well I’ve yet to see something that actually proves it.”
Raising an eyebrow, Ciara suddenly closed her book. The sound echoed off of the stone walls a bit. She then turned towards the Slytherin boy who sat a few feet away from her. She held out her arm.
“Give me your hand.” she ordered.
Draco looked bewildered,
“What?”
Ciara rolled her eyes,
“Your hand, Malfoy” she repeated, “Are you deaf?”
Draco blinked, but eventually swallowed and got up from the chair he was slumped in. He walked over to the couch, sitting down right next to her. Ciara turned her body to face him, gesturing to his right hand. With a huff, he begrudgingly held it out to her.
Ciara grabbed a hold of his wrist, flipping it over so that his palm was facing upwards. His skin was rather pale, the green of the nearby fire reflecting off of it strangely
“Palm reading is an incredibly ancient tradition” she began to explain, “There are thousands of cultures all around the world that practice it in some way or another.”
Draco seemed to take it all in but still narrowed his eyes skeptically.
“Still sounds ditzy to me” he mumbled, his mind a bit fuzzy as he actively tried to look anywhere but down at their hands.
Ciara stuck out her chin a little bit, grabbing his wrist a little more forcefully. Looking down at it again, she studied it intently.
“Well go on then” Draco said impatiently.
Ciara almost laughed, almost. She covered it up by clearing her throat.
“Well first off, you have what’s known as an ‘air’ hand.” she stated.
“And what exactly does that mean?” Draco asked sarcastically.
Ciara huffed, rolling her eyes yet again.
“It means that you have a square palm” she answered simply, “But what that usually tends to signify is practicality and someone who is ‘down to earth’ as some would say.”
She suddenly laughed at that,
“Not exactly what I would peg you for, Malfoy”
“Oi!” Draco barked, offended.
Suppressing another laugh, she inspected his palm a bit closer.
“Alright, let’s see…” she mumbled to herself. “Ok. You see this line here?” she asked, gently tracing a crease that extended from the right side of his palm, down towards his wrist.
Draco gulped but nodded in acknowledgement.
“This is your life line.” she began to explain, “Physical health, general wellbeing, all that jazz.”
“W-well, what does it say?” Draco suddenly asked.
Ciara smirked,
“Oh?” she sounded innocently, “Thought you said this was ditzy?”
“Sod off” he muttered.
Laughing again, Ciara went back to explaining.
“A lot of people think that the length of the line has something to do with the actual length of a person's life, but usually that’s not true at all.” she rambled, “What I can see from here- is that you have a big, life-changing event sometime in your future. Could be anything, mental, physical, you name it. All I can tell is that it’s on the way, and it’s going to be big.”
This time, Draco laughed.
“That’s all you got?”
Ciara’s eyes narrowed,
“Would you just be quiet, Malfoy?” she snapped.
Now both of them were holding back their laughter.
She then pointed to a line across the top half of his hand.
“This here is the Simian crease.” she said “It usually is a signifier of someone’s emotional or reasoning capability. How strong your sense of purpose is whether you have a one-track mind or not. You see how yours does not branch off that much? This means that your inclined towards a more serious or intense nature, and that-”
She suddenly paused but coughed to cover it up.
Next, she gingerly went down to the area where his wrist met his palm. She followed one of the lines up from there, towards his pinky finger.
“This is the Mercury line. It can have several different meanings depending on the interpreter. For instance, it could tell us about any persistent health issues, the state of your decision-making skills, or your communication ability.” she said quickly. “Looks like yours is a bit short. I suspect that would be the communication part.”
Again, Draco scoffed in disbelief. But Ciara knew that she was right, and she suspected that he did as well, that’s why he didn’t bother to argue it.
Finally, Ciara turned her attention to a line closer to the top of his hand, one that stretched horizontally underneath his fingers.
“And this one...is your- heart line.” she said, her voice suddenly quieter than she intended it to be, “Represents your- ah- emotional life. Feelings, love, attraction and such.” she said with speed.
Draco paled slightly, but for some reason, didn’t pull his hand away. Ciara saw this as a silent invitation to continue on.
His heart line was up closer to the base of his fingers, and Ciara remembered that this could show a suppression of emotions, which she did not doubt for a second. The line was also faint, which she found rather odd. She didn’t exactly take Draco as someone who could have their energy overpowered by others so easily. The line also curved sharply upwards towards his fingers, which was again striking to her, signifying a deep desire for validation or affection. But what caught her attention the most was how rigged the line was. It was crisscrossed with many other tiny little creases, almost making it look like a ladder.
She paused.
“Well?” Draco pressed, interrupting her thoughts, “You gonna give me a prophecy, or-?”
Ciara rolled her eyes, recovering.
“If you must know. According to this line, I’m inclined to say that deep down you’re actually rather sensitive and have a constant need for validation.”
“Yeah, right.” Draco scoffed harshly.
Ciara held her other hand up in defense,
“Hey, I’m just the messenger.” she joked.
A brief silence passed over them, and Ciara gnawed at the inside of her cheek anxiously before finally mustering up enough courage to look back up at him.
“I don’t think you’re as bad as you want everyone to think you are, Malfoy.” she stated softly.
Draco all but frozen under her gaze, suddenly finding it very hard to ignore the way that her hand was still resting on top of his own.
“Yeah?” he asked, his own voice just as quiet.
For some reason, the air suddenly felt very heavy, making it hard for her to breathe.
“I mean-” she coughed awkwardly, “It’s what your hands say anyway…”
“My hands...” Draco repeated in a whisper.
Ciara must have been going crazy, because she could have sworn that his face had gotten much closer to her own in that moment.
“You still think Divinations is rubbish?” she asked, trying for a smile.
Draco swallowed with some difficulty,
“I dunno” he answered dumbly.
Venturing a laugh, Ciara looked back down at his palm. Absent-mindedly tracing the line at the top of his hand again.
A violent shiver suddenly traveled down Draco’s spine, and his hand snapped closed, trapping hers inside.
Startled, she looked back up at him, mouth parted slightly. He stared back at her with much of the same surprise.
“Draco?” a high-pitched voice abruptly cut through the common room.
Both heads on the couch turned to look over towards the back of the space, finding Pansy Parkinson standing there, her eyes wide as she looked back on the situation in front of her.
Ciara instantly flushed and slipped her hand out of Draco’s faster than light. She scrambled for her things before silently making for her dorm room as quick as her legs could carry her.
Draco watched her go the whole way.
Ciara dashed into her room, shutting the door behind her in a hurry. She paused for a moment to catch her breath, her back flush up against the dark wood of the door.
Jade perked up from her bed, apparently not having fallen asleep quite yet.
“You ok?” she asked, “You look like you’ve seen a banshee”
Ciara blinked a few times, her expression blank.
“Yeah” she finally said, gulping. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Shaking her head to clear her senses, she finally walked into the room, busying herself with getting ready for bed.
Jade watched her for a moment longer, her eyebrow raised curiously, but eventually she resigned, letting her head fall back onto her pillow.

Breaking the IAS Exam in Your First Attempt: Myth or Reality?
Cracking the IAS exam on the first attempt is often seen as an extraordinary feat. Some believe it’s a myth, achievable only by prodigies, while others argue it’s entirely possible with the right strategy and determination. Let’s break down this debate and explore what it takes to succeed in the UPSC exam on the first try.
tnpsc coaching centre in coimbatore
Is It Possible? Yes! But It’s Challenging
Clearing the IAS exam in the first attempt is not an impossible task. Every year, many toppers achieve this milestone, proving that dedication, smart work, and consistency can make it happen. However, it requires immense focus, meticulous planning, and the right guidance.
For first-timers, the challenge lies in the vastness of the syllabus, the unpredictability of the exam pattern, and managing the time efficiently. With so much to cover and limited time, aspirants need a well-structured plan to tackle each stage of the exam effectively.
Key Factors That Determine Success in the First Attempt
Understanding the Exam Before starting preparation, understanding the exam pattern, stages (Prelims, Mains, Interview), and syllabus is crucial. Without this clarity, even the best efforts can go in vain.
Effective Time Management Allocating sufficient time for each subject, revising frequently, and practicing test papers are non-negotiable. Time management ensures you cover the syllabus without last-minute panic.
Choosing the Right Resources Relying on standard books and trusted materials saves time and energy. Avoid the temptation to gather too many resources, which can lead to confusion.
Mastering Current Affairs A significant part of the IAS exam focuses on current events. Regular reading of newspapers, magazines, and watching analysis videos helps build a strong foundation.
Practicing Mock Tests Mock tests for both Prelims and Mains help simulate the exam environment, improve time management, and identify weak areas. First-timers benefit immensely from these practice sessions.
Guidance and Coaching While self-study works for some, many aspirants benefit from structured guidance provided by coaching centers. If you’re preparing for other competitive exams as well, consider exploring a reputed TNPSC coaching centre in Coimbatore for additional support. Coaching centers can offer expert mentorship and a focused learning environment, which is vital for first-attempt success.
Reality Check: It’s Not Easy, But It’s Achievable
While it is possible to crack the IAS exam in the first attempt, it’s not a walk in the park. It demands consistent effort, resilience, and smart strategies. Aspirants must also prepare for setbacks and avoid burnout during the preparation journey.
The IAS exam rewards candidates who are disciplined, persistent, and adaptable. Even if you don’t clear it in the first attempt, the experience gained will significantly improve your chances in subsequent tries.
Conclusion
Breaking the IAS exam in the first attempt is both a myth and a reality—it depends entirely on your approach, effort, and mindset. With the right guidance, hard work, and efficient planning, you can turn this challenging goal into reality.
If you're preparing for other government exams like TNPSC while focusing on IAS, enrolling in a reputed TNPSC coaching centre in Coimbatore can give you the extra edge you need. A structured study environment, expert faculty, and comprehensive resources can make a big difference in your preparation journey.
This blog emphasizes the importance of strategy and determination in cracking the IAS exam on the first attempt, while subtly promoting TNPSC coaching as a complementary support system for aspirants in Coimbatore.

How to Succeed in a Telephonic Interview: A Simple Guide
A telephonic interview is a common way for companies to screen candidates before meeting them in person. It's often the first step in the hiring process, allowing employers to get a quick idea of whether a candidate is suitable for the job. Even though you’re not meeting face-to-face, a telephonic interview is just as important as any in-person interview, and being well-prepared is key to success.
In this blog, we’ll discuss what a telephonic interview is, how to prepare for it, and how to perform well during the call. Plus, we’ll explain how platforms like Interview Cracker can help you get ready and boost your chances of landing the job.
What is a Telephonic Interview?
A telephonic interview is simply a job interview that takes place over the phone. It is usually shorter than a face-to-face interview, often lasting about 15 to 30 minutes. The goal is for employers to ask a few questions to understand your skills, experience, and how well you might fit the role. If you do well in the telephonic interview, you may be invited for an in-person or video interview as the next step.
One of the biggest advantages of a telephonic interview is that it can be done from anywhere, which makes it convenient for both the employer and the candidate. But, it can also be challenging because you don’t have the benefit of body language or facial expressions to communicate your enthusiasm or confidence.
How to Prepare for a Telephonic Interview
Preparing for a telephonic interview is similar to preparing for an in-person interview, but there are a few extra things you need to consider. Here are some tips to help you get ready:
Know the Job Description: Before the interview, make sure you fully understand the job role and what the company is looking for. Go through the job description carefully and be ready to explain how your skills match the requirements.
Research the Company: Take time to learn about the company. This will help you tailor your answers and show that you’re genuinely interested in the role. Companies like Interview Cracker can help you practice talking about a company’s background in mock interviews.
Prepare Your Answers: Think about the common interview questions you might be asked, like “Tell me about yourself” or “Why do you want to work here?” Practicing your answers will make you feel more confident. Interview Cracker offers sample questions and expert advice to help you prepare.
Choose a Quiet Place: Since a telephonic interview relies entirely on your voice, it's important to find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Make sure your phone is fully charged and that you have a good signal.
Have Your Resume Handy: Keep your resume and any notes in front of you during the interview. Since the interviewer can’t see you, it’s okay to refer to your resume when answering questions, but don’t rely on it too much—try to sound natural.
How to Perform Well in a Telephonic Interview
Now that you’ve prepared for the telephonic interview, it’s time to focus on how to perform well during the call. Here are some tips to help you shine:
Be Punctual: Just like an in-person interview, it’s important to be on time for your telephonic interview. If the interviewer is supposed to call you, be ready a few minutes early. If you are expected to make the call, make sure you dial at the agreed time.
Speak Clearly: In a telephonic interview, your voice is the only way to communicate. Speak clearly and at a steady pace. Avoid mumbling or speaking too fast. This ensures that the interviewer understands you without asking for repetition.
Listen Carefully: Pay close attention to what the interviewer is saying. It’s easy to get distracted during a phone call, but active listening is key. If you miss a question, politely ask the interviewer to repeat it.
Show Enthusiasm: Even though the interviewer can’t see you, they can still sense your enthusiasm through your voice. Smile while speaking—it makes your voice sound friendlier and more positive.
Answer Concisely: Since a telephonic interview is often shorter than an in-person one, it’s important to keep your answers focused and concise. Don’t go off on long tangents—stick to the point.
Ask Questions: At the end of the interview, you’ll usually be given a chance to ask questions. Prepare one or two questions about the company or the role. This shows your interest and engagement in the process.
Mock interviews offered by platforms like Interview Cracker are a great way to practice these skills. You can get feedback on your performance and improve areas where you may need help.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
When it comes to a telephonic interview, there are a few common mistakes that candidates should avoid:
Background Noise: Conduct your interview in a quiet place without interruptions. Avoid distractions like TV, pets, or other people in the room.
Interrupting the Interviewer: Make sure the interviewer finishes their question before you begin your answer. Interrupting can come across as rude or impatient.
Not Sounding Confident: Speak with confidence, even if you feel nervous. Platforms like Interview Cracker can help you build confidence through practice and preparation.
Failing to Follow Up: After the interview, send a polite thank-you email to express your gratitude for the opportunity. This leaves a positive impression on the interviewer.
