Hate when I'm searching through ao3 for a certain character tag and see fics that barely have them, where the character I want to read about is only in the background or a single scene.

Stop tagging characters in a fic unless are a major part! If they only have two lines in one scene in 150K, don't tag them!!!!!!

the lack of linguistic diversity

you seriously expect me to believe that everyone is communicating in perfect british english? eorzeans and othardians have no linguistic barriers at all? not even a "using slang they dont understand" or "cultural miscommunication" problem? like. i know the echo-bearers can *understand* everyone but what about these regular non-echo people. why can the french elf from a country that has spent a thousand years in near-total isolation from the rest of the world seamlessly communicate with a nomadic mongolian lizard from an entirely different continent?? i get that for game purposes it would be unrealistic but like. it is referenced multiple times over that there ARE foreign languages and "old languages" eg "this word is an old garlean word/this is named after a padjali concept" right but like. somehow everyone has no issues. i try to rationalise it in my head as like ah the high-class characters would be educated in other languages / the merchants and those that travel a lot would pick up on foreign languages / the oppressed countries eg doma and ala mhigo would be forced in some way to learn the languages of their colonisers" but like it is SO immersion breaking sometimes that you can take an ordinary commoner from some far-flung place and have them communicate perfectly with someone from halfway across the world who would have no knowledge of their language!!! 90 percent of the time there isnt even much accent diversity either like the viera are kinda icelandic and the thavnairians have indian accents but seriously your studio couldnt find ANY other accents...

I found it fascinating how Sam was almost always super forgiving of Mary. He never held against her the part she played in his demon blood infection, even though we know how much that impacted him and his sense of self-worth since he was a kid. And it kind of makes sense—he’s only heard of her perfection from John and Dean, to the extent she’s basically the Winchester god, so why wouldn’t he forgive her without a second’s hesitation?

To me, he was almost *overly* appeasing with her in every interaction. Like he needed her to like him, to love him. But no matter how hard he tried to be a perfect son, she didn’t give back. She always turned to Dean. Because even though her boys looked nothing like she remembered, she could still recognize in Dean her little boy that reached up to comfort her when she fought with John. But the 6’4 stranger couldn’t be the baby she left behind.

Anyway.

Refusal to distinct 'own' from 'made' drives me absolutely fucking insane.

Just because Disney now owns Fox Studios does not mean Anastasia is SUDDENLY now a Disney movie.

Disney did not make this film. They were not involved in it at all during its production or release. Them buying the studio doesn't suddenly mean it's Disney now.

This isn't like Star Wars where the property is still being made so it can go under the Disney umbrella.

Anastasia has not, is not and will never be a Disney Movie unless Disney decides to make new content with the Anastasia property.

If it should be called anything, it should be called a Don Bluth movie!

Stop giving Disney the credit for other people's work just because they bought the studio 20+ years after the property's release!
