wanted to share w/ you a little bit about my girls trip to nyc too!! it was my friend’s 23rd birthday so our whole friend group surprised her w/ a weekend trip to new york as a bday present!! OMG a funny story that happened on our first night there, we all went to this club to celebrate and these group of guys kept being so pushy and gross towards me and my friends. one of them insisted on buying me a drink but he just made me so uncomfy that i didn’t want to even be near him. i tried to decline nicely but he was so persistent. what was funny was that he saw my lockscreen and it was a pic of jongseong in the gym and he immediately backed off bc he thought it was my bf so thank you jay bc he was able to get me out of that situation😭😭

How Do You Choose Your Titles: eh just whatevs i feel is catchy and is a good concise nice indicator of the plot heh. hhmm i feel like i usually come up with titles during the brainstorming process for the fic, like before actually writing it or while writing it.

a moulin rouge au (peter’s the famous singer/dancer known as the spider-man who attracts men and women alike in the famous moulin rouge run by liz toomes with a gallery of other colorful rogues, heroes, villains, and just other sorts of attractive characters based on the comicbooks of old. mj is a young new budding writer looking to gain world experience to write about. she winds up in the moulin rouge, meets the infamous spider-man and gets to know the kind man behind the alluring and mysterious mask. im imagining tom’s lsb, laura’s hollywood, and z’s halloween euphoria ep costume for the aesthetic im going for haha. im still torn on whether to keep the og ending or not hahahaha)

maybe a friends with benefits fic. where it’s not so angsty or full of drama. and genuinely just keeping it cool and chill til they inevitably just decide to actually get together/stay friends. it’s all up in the air and they’ll figure it out when they figure it out.

reader and her class go to france over spring break just before graduation

everyone who actually wanted to go had to pay a stupid amount of money but hey ur in high school some peoples parents have a lot of money

this is prime time to go ok?

so reader gets a job a couple days after finding out about the trip and works her ass off to pay for it so she can go to france like gdi shes GOING

her parents help a bit but they dont have a lot of money so its mainly her

anyway

theres about 20 students that go, two chaperones, and then mr deacon so they all fuck off into groups for when they actually get over there

reader is in deacys group obvs hehehe

everything goes fairly well until the plane ride when everyone starts getting anxious bc its about an 8+ hour flight

but then once they’re there like ........ they’re in france they can chill

every room at the hotel theyre staying at has 4 beds

but the chaperones/ deacon have their own rooms nearby the kids 

so chap A and chap B have rooms right next to the kids and then Deacon has the room across the hall ........ that he usually shares with reader

no one rlly asks about where she goes at night bc shes 18 and everyone has pretty much just assumed shes going out to clubs or whatever

We flew toward the shining city in the valley. With osprey eyes I could see much more clearly. I saw buildings that rose in steep, smooth sweeps, like they'd grown from the bedrock. Windows were stuck in odd locations, some aiming out, others more like skylights. And there were fields planted with green and arranged in neat circles instead of rows.

The aliens themselves:

As we got closer, I could see creatures of some sort. They looked a little like large - very large - crabs. Only with shells in a wild array of colors, deep blue, spring green, orange. And while on one side there was something very much like a large pincer, on the other side there was a pair of hands.

More of the mercora:

There were three of the creatures. They moved upon seven legs. Four on

one side, three on the other. To make matters worse, the four

legs were larger than the three. So they scuttled sideways in the

direction of the small legs.

They stood about half the height of a tall human, and seven or eight

feet wide.

On the side with the four big legs, there was a sort of three-way pincer

claw. It looked very powerful. It looked like the sort of thing I would

not want to have to fight against.

On the other side, the weak side, there were two arms similar to my own,

but even stronger than human arms. The arms ended in long, tapered,

delicate fingers.

There were a lot of eyes. They kept opening and shutting, one or two or

three at a time. They were each hidden beneath tiny trap doors in the

Mercora's exoskeleton or shell. Eyes were forever appearing and

disappearing. It was very, very distracting.

The Mercora saucer picked us up, us and our little nuke. But they were a

grim, depressed bunch of aliens. It was hard to tell at first. But then

I noticed that each of them was minus one of their smaller legs. There

were just oozing stumps.

"What happened to your legs?" I asked. But even as the words were out of

my mouth, I saw the limbs in the corner. They were laid out on a

brightly colored cloth which was draped over a shelf. There was

something ceremonial about it. Almost religious.

<Can you explain the meaning of this?> Ax asked politely.

<We must make the sacrifice of pain. The legs will regenerate, but those

we honor will not,> the Mercora pilot said. <This is a symbol. It speaks

to our spirit's pain, by echoing it in physical pain.>

"They did this for the Mercora who were in the other ship?" Jake asked.

<For those who were in both ships,> the pilot said. <To be killed is a

sadness. To kill is a sin.>

Jake says the they owe the mercora for saving them

hi! this is a good question bc i promised weeks ago i’d publish chap 4 and it’s been, well, weeks. the reason is bc im not v far along in the schedule rn on account of being terribly busy w school trips n college tours (which is why my tumblr has been so inactive lately). BUT im hoping to post it in a couple weeks, depending on how i do on chap 5. it should be ok tho, cause im super pumped for ch5, even tho it looks like i lied to yall and its gonna be a 6 or even 7 chapter fic instead of a 5 chapter fic (whoops).

TRWFL update

Hi yall, this week's update of TRWFL is gonna be a little late. I had gotten up to 800 words ehen i realized i didnt like the direction and pace i was moving the story, so im reworking it. Im also preparing for a big trip and been busybat work so i haven't had too much time to work on chap 4.
