I'm gonna level with you, I wrote a large portion of this chapter while experiencing a caffeinated depressive episode. this monster of a chapter turned out extremely chaotic and may feel like a spiritual representation of the ADHD Experience. due to the sheer length of it, there will probably be twice as many grammatical mishaps that I definitely won't notice until after it has gone up. Y'all, I know I have you abandoned. I really wanted to get back on track with my writing but between health stuff and life I have not been able to produce like I've wanted. I wanted to do Kinktober (even if I didn't finish last year 🫣) but I don't know if I'll be able to get more than a couple oneshots out. I know you guys are waiting on a lot of updates, and I am trying to get them out there as I am able. But my brain is running on a half empty tank. I'll try my best to get more things out, but with the holidays, it might get harder. I hope y'all understand and continue to stick around. 💖💖

For those who followed me on Wattpad for my pearlshipping stories, I'm moving everything over to AO3.

Which means "The Only Exception" and other pearl stories will be transferred and updated over there. I'll also be rewriting my story to fix some characters and plot points. It'll take me awhile but I'll be sure to update this post when it's all ready.

I'm having a really rough few days depression-wise. I don't know when it's going to pass but I hope it does soon. I just can't get my brain to work to do anything productive. I'm mad at myself because I really wanted to have daily updates as long as possible. I made it nearly 20 days so I guess that's something. Maybe I set too high of an expectation for myself.

Updates will return eventually. I just can't say when at the moment because my brain is just being fuzzy and gross. I really hope it's this week, but I can't rush recovery. I'm so so so sorry.

PUM13 + "Night Walk" Video

In case you missed the announcement—I'm on (overseas) vacation for Chinese New Year, but I wrote PUM13 ahead of time & uploaded it today!

The chapter ending is based on this scene below from "Our Unwinding Ethos" episode 22, which marks an important turning point for the original drama & my story. (Teamwork makes the dream work!) If you committed to watching the original drama, then you might've guessed by now that Shiori isn't "missing" but actually "kidnapped"... All I'll say is that this story will never be short on plot twists!
