induced to me by my contemporary art exam AND a rewatch of rebels after years that. got me into sabezra unexpectedly AND i updated krita and there were many new brushes i wanted to try

i can't find themmmmm I've been looking for 2 days but all i found were uncredited reposts

anyway they look amazing

i really wanted to try greyscaling but I'm not sure it looks good. idk. + while i was making it i was listening to i love you by fontaines d.c. (GREAT SONG FROM A GREAT UNDERRATED BAND) and. the grey fit into that mood much better

also two versions without the sketch lines. where ezra looks happier even if they're uglier

#i didn't expect to like them as a ship ngl. but there are some moments that recall kanera (AND I LOVE THEM) especially if you've read #a new dawn. and IDK COOL!! probably i didn't ship them from the start because. in s1-s2 they're just kids and everytime i reach s3 i keep #brainrotting on thrawn <3 and kallus <3 and zeb <3 idk i kinda forgot about them and all the scenes they were in LMAO #ALSO. i love you is truly a wonderful song wtf?? it's not something I'd associate to sabezra BUT probably after having listened to it for a #month. and having drawn this in the meantime. i found some connections. the fact that the songs alternated between that melodic part #that talks about love to the other verses about (very generally) society. just felt like how their relationship would go. rapidly switching #between the fast paced fights for the rebellion to the calm of the preparation they require that can allow them for some tenderness. ALSO #ezra is so much “if there was sunshine it was never on me / so close the rain; so pronounced is the pain”#and sabine is pretty much “you only open the window; never open up the door” sometimes. especially before her darksaber arc #btw i know this song is about ireland and their relationship with theid country BUT it just prompted me to their grey figures #and colorful background. also. there's something about klimt making some of the most tender representations of love ever imo BUT keep #choosing to represent rather dark iconographies whenever he's asked to do something (I'm thinking about the medicine panels for the uni)#like. there is a similar contrast in there as well. also i like that. ursa had a portrait of herself in her home that referenced klimt #like. it's ursa in her prime; in a literal golden age. i can imagine sabine associating a good moment - one of her bests - to such an #expressive decoration. and maybe stripping colors away when that moment is gone and all that remains is the memory and feeling #OKAY WHY DID I TALK SO MUCH i must've put more thought on this that i previously thought. crazy #it started as a fun experiment to try krita's oil brushes. *in david byrne's voice* how did i get here?#star wars #sw #star wars rebels #star wars fanart #star wars rebels fanart #ezra bridger #sabine wren #ezrabine #sabezra #sabine wren fanart #ezra bridger fanart #sw fanart #g posting

not posting my attempt but god watercolor is so difficult and Ugly when ur a bitch who doesn't know colors or control but ultimately its very fun and very pretty even when its ugly its sooo pretty. its literally ugly but its so pretty

#like i dont genuinely think its for me but im gonna keep at it bc its so pretty to look at #also it WAS the brushes btw. the brushes i ordered that actually hold a tip got here and it was way easier #i cant wait to use em with gouache #it was driving me crazy seeing ppl able to make thin lines with even big brushes bc they keep the tip and mine didnt #and now i can do the same...thank god i knew i wasnt crazy #talkys #also its hard bc i theoretically know how to control pigment and water off of a rly good video but its abt watercolor straight from the tub #i have tubed watercolors but ive panned them for easier access since my space is Small but idk how to control water and pigment with pan #paint....

sigh. i think i just do not like dogs very much lol

#just me hi #don't kill me but they are not for me #and i think our dog is alright :) but i am glad he's not mine jfshvh #i'm nervous and unsure about them every time i interact and i don't know why!#tried to tell my mother that at least and she just kinda brushes me off ? so i guess i'll just have to contend with this lol #he's still being trained but i dunno. don't think that kind of animal is for me #which sucks cuz i really did want to like them!! but they're confusing and a bit annoying and a decent sprinkling of scary #and he's a PUPPY. this is the goofiest problem ever jfsvhjfh #+ the dog at work still makes me nervous too.. this is a very Blahhh situation lol #'you've just gotta learn to stop being scared of them' but that Does mean that i have to interact with them more. and it seems #every time i do i just get more nervous ?? urgh #guess i'm not for dogs ! oh wells!#//and in other news why is it that every weekend i do not hesitate to obliterate my sleep schedule Lmfshvjfh #like without Fail it's actually crazy #//OH and it snowed a couple days ago too btw !! like almost a foot of snow i believe which is cool :D #i walked to work and it was fuuuun i enjoyed it :D #though i didn't get a chance to take pictures bc they'd plowed the road by the time i got out </3 it was so cool though !!#//oh also we were playing one of our story games last night w/ siblings :3 #it's our longest-running one (it's been ongoing for maybe over a year or so! wild) and the amount of stuff that has Happened is so much Lol #i think last night they helped free half-a-town's worth of people from mine work (the mine turned out to be a crater from a Wish that hadn'#come true so they were mining the tiny shards of the wish-star bc they still have the chance to grant veeery small wishes!) and then also #got the guy that had kidnapped and enslaved them (for ransom + tax reasons) killed “by accident”#/they got into even more arguments with the other characters they're traveling with-#/OH chess also almost strangled one of those guys to death in the mine Lmaooo #there was a whole moment when he realized i was dying jfsvjgh #//yea though i have got to go get some thangs done though..#my dad used all the hot water so i'm just. waiting... stewing.... sauteeing...... gently marinating.............#ooeeoo #yea though !! hope i can work on some ideas i have today !! let's cross hands and hold fingers. wait #anywho Yea i'm gonna get on that 💥 CIAO

im real tired of my current pixel brush i use for digital art (its too rough and incredibly inconvenient to manage, and just makes every single thing i draw look pixelated) but i dont have any other brushes or know how to find a new brush i like. i just really want something that has some texture to it because soft brushes make me want to die
