the ppl that complain abt updates are actually so bewildering to me bc im literally 2k words into my fic and it has taken SO LONG 😞 not to mention the fact that no matter how long i wait for your updates, i truly never get bored because i js come on your tumblr everyday to see what you guys have been posting on here and it 100% makes up for the long awaited updates (not that you have anything to make up for anyway) you guys are truly SO incredible for what you do bc i could NEVER 😭 i literally talked to my friend abt ur fic and how the waits are usually long (wasn’t complaining abt it) and she was like “oh my god i could never wait that long for a fic” and i immediately came to your defense and was like “yeah but it’s okay bc the long ass chapters always make up for it and the fact that they post on tumblr almost daily”

prefacing my accidental ramble by saying that if we ever seem disproportionately annoyed at something someone said then it’s definitely because it is not disproportionate to Us!! little comments and things like that add up over time, so it’s rarely about just that one thing someone says and absolutely more of an overarching pattern that gets tiring really fast. and not to dredge everything back up again bc it’s rare that we get someone being super weird and rude outright about longer or delayed update times but we get soooo so many asks or comments etc like the one thea answered earlier which just include little remarks that come off as just passive aggressive and just kind of kill the vibe of getting a really nice message?? very much like “oh i miss when we only had to wait a couple weeks for updates but your fic is so good!” or “this was so good but don’t know how im going to wait months for the next chapter :(“ and just stuff like that which gets pretty frustrating over time, especially when they’re coming from people who blew through a 30k update in like 45 minutes lol. we see so much of this over on twt especially, maybe because we’re not as active there and people are not saying it To Us so they think we don’t see it but there’s also a lot of likeeeeee “i want to start acswy but im Traumatized by authors abandoning their fics so im just waiting until they’re done” or “i want to catch up but the update intervals are so long😭” and that sort of thing which is also just kind of frustrating to see come up over and over again, esp bc sometimes people have actually said that to us? like in our inbox??? for some entirely unknown reason??? like why are you telling us on this blog that you don’t want to read our fic until it’s done. good luck getting through 500k in one sitting then idk what to tell you 🤷🏽‍♀️

i just saw the anthony rumor in rbrdaily twt account idk if it counts as source lol. about anthony not being in his team, sorry if i misled but i was referring to lewis parting his ways with anthony professionally around 2010 (https://www.planetf1.com/news/lewis-hamilton-anthony-hamilton-manager-split#:~:text=Lewis%20Hamilton%20has%20opened%20up,the%20top%20level%20of%20motorsport.), i think up until that point his dad was also his manager. i really don't know though if anthony has a role in lewis' management team currently let alone be the one initiating talks with rbr. this is why i said that i think it was a more general talk (if it happened) that is blew out of proportion.

No no you didn't mislead, I know about the history with Anthony, that's why I said what I said. Here's the thing : if the contact was really Anthony, there's two possibilities

1- Anthony did some smalltalk with some redbull rep like "haha look at that disastrous car! you got a good one though, you wouldn't have a seat for my son would ya? haha okay bye" and he was just joking or something and Horner is blowing it wayyy out of proportion, which is not impossible but does seem a bit weird and farfetched. 2- Anthony actually did inquire. That's why Christian reached out to Lewis because he thought there was an actual inquiry because Anthony did not make it seem like smalltalk. And that's why Lewis is saying he checked with his team and nobody inquired because they didn't. And that why there's a discrepancy in their respective versions of the story. And that would be a problem.

See the thing is, Lewis parting with Anthony as his manager was A Big Issue. It caused a LOT of conflict between them and in his family. Lewis has referred several times to problems he had with his dad meddling in his career. (For example listen to what he says about Jenson and his dad in this interview from a whole year after they parted ways.) So I sure fucking hope that's not the case, you know?

ETA : also the RBR daily is actually quoting BBC sport on it so it does seem rather credible that a RBR spokesperson said it and why would they lie about it? The real question is how serious the actual talk was and we will most probably never know.

Warning, it's mostly Yoshida because my god I'm insane about him and I apologize

-Octopi are intelligent creatures so Yoshida's contract with the octopus devil is for him to get good grades because it doesnt want to work with a dumb human

-Yoshida ONLY drinks iced coffee, he can tolerate room temp but never hot

-Yoshida really likes cold food in general

-As a kid, Asa knew running while holding scissors is bad so she never did it because she knew she'd trip with them, but in grade school she probably tripped and got hurt anyway from a nearby classmate holding scissors

-Yoshida likes lemon lime sodas because I like lemon lime sodas no other reason it's just true

-Nayuta is a selective mute, but she and Denji click so well that he immediately knows if she needs anything even if she doesnt say or sign anything

-As reckless as he is sometimes, Denji is still very good at taking care of Nayuta, he learned a lot from Aki and from taking care of all the dogs. THIS I'm quite sure is basically canon, even just from the small glimpse of them together in ch97

-If CSM took place in modern times, Yoru is SHIT at video games and Asa is average (hi, not part of the original twt thread, I just remembered that csm doesn't take place THAT long ago and that Denji and Power literally bought a video game console with... Aki's money... So yeah the modern times part was a little dumb of me, but it still applies to some of the hcs ahead)

-Denji spams buttons in fighting games and Yoshida has combos memorized, but somehow he still loses to Denji sometimes

-Yuko is better than all of them and is probably a speedrunning champion

-If all four (five w yoru) of them played games together, Denji and Asa would be at each other's throats while Yoshida and Yuko silently keep playing and win in the end

Idk I just saw the flashbacks she had and how she had short hair at one point and I was like hmm and my transfem moots agreed (That post blew up a little actually and some people genuinely thought I was weird or that I was stereotyping cause of the short hair, so I don't talk about this hc that often. I genuinely would've headcanoned her as transfem before I even saw the short hair though, I love hitting csm characters with the transification beam.)

-Speaking of, Yoshida is transmasc! He's a reincarnation of Togata from Fire Punch that was able to successfully transition (socially at least), and he binds! This is one of my fav hcs cause god I love Togata and Yoshida's eerieness in part 1 is really EXTREMELY similar to Togata, and they both have really similar features like black eyes and hair, the fringe between their eyes, the mole under their lip, AND THE WAY THEY SMILE??? I genuinely no joke think Yoshida was meant to be a nod to Togata back when Fujimoto drew him in part 1

-Back to the videogames thing, Asa would be 1st in Mario Kart then fuck up last minute right before she reaches the finish line, and she ends up in last place. My girl trips at the worst time even in video games 💀

Both of them look like they’ve been through hell - well, he supposes it’s not far from the truth - and he’s not sure how they’re even still standing. Dream sways on his feet, shadows under his eyes more prominent than ever, and even Wilbur’s perfect smile is marred from the blood trickling out of gashes on his face. Breaking Dream out of prison, Quackity gathers, had been harder than they’d expected.

“We do!” Wilbur agrees cheerfully, arm looped around Dream casually. “I think it would be incredibly beneficial for the three of us - each of us have a skill or quality the others lack. Together, we could really get this server in shape.”

Quackity arches an eyebrow. “What skills and qualities would they be?”

“Well, naturally, I’m the charismatic one.” Wilbur lifts his free hand when Quackity goes to interrupt, smile never wavering. “Yes, I know you’re also charismatic, but people also think you’re unhinged.”

“You’re the one who blew up your own fucking country.”

Wilbur rolls his eyes. “I know, but I succeeded. You tried to kill Technoblade - who, needless to say, is still alive and on all three lives, unlike you, sorry not sorry.”

Affronted, gritting his teeth at the reminder, Quackity scowls. “Go on, then.”

“And we have you,” Wilbur presses on, flattery oozing into his voice - Quackity can sense it a mile off, but it’s still hard not to preen - “you’re resourceful, Big Q. You’re good at business and you’re cunning and you’ve built a whole fucking country and kept it lucrative. Dream and I had something of a struggle keeping our countries in one piece, if you remember correctly.”

Quackity snorts. “Yeah, I remember. And...” His eyes travel to Dream, who looks to be a thousand miles away, whose eyes are faded and unfocused, who really, Quackity thinks, has looked a hell of a lot better and more stable. “What about him?”

“Well, right now, he’s currently walking around on a shattered leg, two broken ribs, no hunger bars, seven days worth of sleep deprivation and a concussion,” Wilbur explains, bright when Quackity goes pale, “not to mention the bucketloads of trauma and mental illness. I honestly don’t know how he’s still standing. I know I sure as hell wouldn’t be. Turns out he’s got quite a good poker face, wouldn’t you say?”

Quackity stares at Dream. “Jesus Christ.”

“I say we’d make a great team.” Wilbur leans closer, grinning. “You’ve got the country and business side of things, I’ve got the charisma and stability - or, well, apparent stability - and Dream has the best fucking poker face I’ve ever seen. Not to mention, he killed eight zombies on the way here while taking hardly any damage. I reckon you need us both.”

“And what do you get out of this?” Quackity asks, because he’s not naïve, and he’s proven correct when Wilbur chuckles in delight and approval. “You’re not just doing this out of the kindness of your hearts.”

Wilbur nods in agreement, eyes sharp as a knife. “Well, we want protection,” he says, like it’s obvious, maybe it is, “we want shelter from the rest of the server and we could do with being a part of a country like yours for the time being. Dream needs somewhere to recover and rest, I need somewhere to lay low for a while, and, well...”

He trails off for a moment, before resuming.

“Well, Big Q, if I’m going to be entirely up front with you, I played card games in the Void for nine straight years, and frankly, I’ve grown fond of them. And what better way than gambling to destroy the server?”

Quackity can’t help amusement curling into his smirk. “You’re fucked up, Wilbur Soot. You’re a fucked up man.”

Wilbur grins. “So you’re on board?”

“Yes, I’m on board, Jesus,” Quackity agrees, running a hand over his face and glancing around, “let’s get you two inside before anyone fuckin’ sees.”

Dream offers him an empty smile that makes his skin crawl. “I don’t suppose you have any health potions, do you?” He asks, like he’s asking about the weather rather than asking for assistance for his crippling health. “I’m on half a heart.”

Quackity winces. “Half a-- yeah, man, we got some health potions. But- I’m gonna need you guys to sign a contract or two first.” Because he’s not an idiot, Wilbur and Dream aren’t idiots, and he doesn’t trust them as far as he can throw them.

“Brilliant!” Wilbur looks pleased. “I have a contract too. Great minds think alike, ey, Quackity?”

Great minds indeed. Quackity rolls his eyes, turning his back and beginning to head in the direction of Vegas. Wilbur hums low under his breath, and begins to follow, with Dream following behind him silently. “This is gonna be the death of me,” he murmurs.

“Or the start of something beautiful,” Wilbur says, something sinister in his voice, “the SMP won’t know what hit them.”

“I’ll be praying for them.” Quackity pauses, turning to Wilbur in bemusement. “You died, right? Does God exist?”

Dream speaks up, voice hoarse. “I’m basically God. I brought him back, you know.” He giggles, and Wilbur looks delighted. “I’m God, Wilbur.”

“Dream is the closest thing to God we have,” Wilbur says, and Quackity can’t help but feel horrified at that thought, “so prayer is pretty much useless.”

“Right,” Quackity says, mildly regretting his decision already, because teaming with a manipulative dead man and a shattered man who thinks he’s God can’t in any world be a good thing, “right, yeah, okay. Does God want a golden apple while we’re signing contracts.”

“If you’ve got one,” Dream says brightly, and Quackity prepares himself for a long couple of months of this team. This is going to go perfect, or it’s going to be the death of them all. Either way, at the very least: things will definitely be interesting.

Don't worry anon, I'll still be here on Tumblr even if no one else is. Unless, IDK, Mastodon develops a real obvious fandom presence and Tumblr goes down in a blazing dumpster fire of glory. I do think there's less content here for 3H than there was during FE Fates, but also we're in the lull between games right now so there's not a lot going on with FE anyway (beyond teaser stuff, which I imagine a lot of people are ignoring so as to not be spoiled)

I'm sure that if I were forced to I could, eventually, find a way to make Twitter work for me, but other than fan art being over there I really don't think the platform would work for what I like to do. I generally love creating long, involved HCs and stories, which is really hard to do with less than 250 characters. And the experience is greatly diminished when I can't bounce the ideas back and forth with other interested parties. Like, one of my favorite 3H experiences was when me and a then rando (now mutual) spent like two days riffing a Lambert/Rodrigue fic back and forth

Also, the only time one of my tweets "blew up" it caught the attention of a group of Literal Nazi furries, and that was weird for me. I would have preferred if that never happened. I'm the anon who got into NCT after Do addition. My memories have got blurry, but these are what I remember from Cherry Bomb and Boss eras.

I agree with you about time passing after Do addition and more exposition. Do got attacked a lot during Limitless, but things started looking up in Cherry Bomb era. The styling and song choice could be some of the biggest reasons (not just for Do, the whole group too). Nowadays, we see ppl praise Limitless as a superior title track and styling as artistic, but back then, not many ppl thought so. Cherry Bomb styling is more public-friendly and the song and choreo were explosive and more memorable. Do got a good amount of screentime in the MV and I saw many fans praised his bridge (with Taeil and Jae) and screamed about his purple hair making him cute and handsome. My irl friends bias other members, but they thought Do stood out too in the MV with his purple hair. There were plenty photos of purple haired Do taken by fansites.

Do got the Star Blossom station later in 2017. It's not a breakthrough song (compared with Jae's I Like Me Better), but his vocals got praised a lot. He prolly gained some new fans from the collab.

Then came NCT 2018 and Boss. The song became even more successful than Cherry Bomb and song popularity aside, the aesthetic and styling and Do's vocals were well-received again. His high note vid later blew up on twt and there were loads of small group vlives from the era for fans to get to know him (and other neos) better.

Ennana also started in 2017 and ran till 2019. Do guested often and later got Do! Digest. That's when fans got to know him better as a person and he gave plenty of comforting words there. Ennana gave cute Do selfies too. I suppose the gig has solidified Do's cute and caring image.

I'll take this opportunity to thank you for running this blog and starting or facilitating deeper discussions too. It's weird to say this as a JaeDo shipper, but I trust most JaeDo shippers more than Do and Jae stans who don't ship them lol Some Jae fans direct hate at Do, while some Do fans like to joke and compare Jae's and Do's ways of communicating with fans or even interaction with other neos. I'm one of the ppl who hold the unpopular opinion that tho Jae is absent a lot on sns and appears less affectionate than Do, he is caring and warm in his own way. Also very sincere. I like this part you wrote a lot:

I like that many fans here lean toward understanding and talk about this side of him that often gets overlooked.

Meanwhile, Dozennies here go beyond cute Do talks and pay a lot of attention to his other sides. I agree with the comparison with your acquiantance. He definitely wants to take care of the neos and the fans because he wants to and he can manage. I hope fans know not to pressure him (directly or indirectly) tho. He's still a human and too much burden is never good.

Doyoung indeed looked very nice with the lilac hair. He got a manga boy image. And not to forget Inkigayo and the era of berets.

I heard a lot of times that Boss failed to be noticed by k-fans. Or were you talking about i-fans at this point? To this day Cherry Bomb is the most streamed song by 127 and one of the most viewed.

I totally agree with you about vlives. This app helped NCT gain popularity through both group and individual lives. Now YT channels do the work with special programmes and covers.

CB/Boss era Doyoung had a nice balance of elegant&cute appearance and a witty fiery character. We've seen a kind of a comeback to it during NCT2020 (MAW in particular) time. I hope it stays and Do forgets the filters.

Fans as a mass of people are something hard to like. We complain about toxic fandoms all the time, and idols get it much worse. The hate is directed at them, anti-movements can have consequences, each their move and word are observed and cancel culture happens every day. So sincerely idols can like only individual fans, the ones they meet face to face, the ones who write heartfelt letters or represent fan bars. Jaehyun congratulates with anniversaries loyal fans and shows night views to the fans who are able to appreciate them (who shares his romantic/poetic onlook on life, not those who care about superficial). He is honest this way, and he is reaching the right people. For everyone else, it's the effort he puts in keeping his body fat-free and his image of Ideal Jaehyun.

Jaehyun liked doing Grazia pictorial, which is easy to see in bts (6:00), and one of the reasons is that he was always fully clothed and portrayed atmosphere, something interesting to him, rather than the beach body.

Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK)

Currently I’m hella into jujutsu kaisen. I recommend you to both watch it and read it! The characters are so much fun!

The manga is not as much as the fun as it is blindly agonising because heck there’s a lot of angst that hits you but it’s really good. Painful but good.

The anime’s animation blows you away, along with its opening and ending! I’d rec you to watch that first if you want to get into this series.

For the series: It’s really, really funny and has epic moments and characters. It’s so enjoyable! The world, though, is a bit hard to understand at first. There’s still a lot, lol, that I don’t get. But yeah, would rec this so very much.

The fandom is really fun, and good to enjoy — active and hilarious and have so much good and amazing content! I’m mostly in orvcord — the eng orv discord which are so fun and I enjoy v much! It’s not really active here on tumblr, though but on twt.

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint (ORV)

The omniscient reader fandom is really, really fun as well. There’s a webnovel and webtoon. The webtoon is going and I enjoyed both! I read the webtoon and was like. Okay, I can’t just stop there. The fandom is hilarious as heck. The characters are so, so lovable. My fav is on my icon — Jung Heewon. She’s just so <3333

I love this one so much because it resonates with me. It’s talks about readers, and stories and just — blows my mind every time??? The characters are so fun, as well. I feel like I mentioned that before, but anyways. It’s a slow start and gets a bit confusing — with me — at times with the world but I remember the first time I picked it up. I wasn’t feeling optimistic because this type of webtoons well... they are pretty much all the same and not my type but holy heck. I read that first chapter and I can recall my excitement and just. How it completely blew me away.

It’s about this guy, Kim Dokja who had been reading this novel for ten years and how it’s brought to life. It keeps you interested by how we never know the “ending” of the original story but Kim dokja does, and also the dynamic between him and the protagonist of the original story, Yoo Joonghyuk which is so good.

Mob psycho 100 (MP100)

Also — thinking about another fandom I posted recently. Mob psycho 100. Oh my god, okay so. I would rec this one so, so so much. It’s not even long! It has two seasons animated and holy heck. It’s so good??? So beyond good???? I can not stress that enough. The mangaka does fantastic character arcs and characters and just. It feels so real and so good. Also: the animation is out of this world. It’s so enjoyable and so so fun. I love it so much.

Okay, so. Possibly this might be the series that I enjoy the most. The artstyle might be hard to get to at first but ITS ALL HECKING WORTH IT. I have so much love stored in me for this series. It’s just. Wow.

Also: the brothers in this one tug at my heartstrings very much. They are so. Good. God, I love them so much. I have a grantee that you’ll love them. Well. Hopefully. Since you like Elrics.

It’s about Kageyama Shigeo who’s like has insanely god-like psychic powers and how he just wants to be popular and for the girl he likes to like him back. Okay, I know that sounds.... not interesting but I promise it is! It’s a really funny show and heck, just???? really puts out a nice message??? and tells it so well.

The fandom is a bit dead, though. I mean. I know there’s a lot of people out there but it hasn’t been really active? Though with the recent promise of a season three it has like SHOT UP.

I think I would rec this series firstly out of all of the ones I mentioned here and so much. It’s so fantastic!!!

Tokyo ghoul

I also reblogged stuff from this show. I mean. I do like it. Like love it a lot..... but this one gets a bit muddy??? Like. I feel its a hit-and-miss with this one. I would recommend the manga more than the anime because wow, it misses a lot of stuff and has basically.... a completely different storyline. But! The animation is really good, along with that first OP (insanely good).

The fandom is... pretty much dead, lol ‘cept me & my other two friends. Okay, lol, I do know they are definitely more people but — just not as active?

I would like half-rec this one. It’s not.... urghhh I’m just bad at explaining this. I do love it! It’s just. Idk????????? I would say to go and try it out! warnings: people eating monsters, it’s pretty gory, cabalism, torture, there is a lot of sucidal ideation and depression in here and also abuse and child abuse

I’m really not good with giving out warning for it, so I’d suggest looking up that before going in.

Ao no exorcist also called blue exorcist (aoex)

I’m not really in this fandom, right now but I wholeheartedly enjoy it very much. The characters are so lovable and so good. The series is FANTASTIC as well. It has both an anime and a manga. The anime is good but — highly verges off the manga at one point. I didn’t even know this, lol.

The anime’s....plot after the divergence is just. pretty bad. I mean. I did like some parts of it and did enjoy but didn’t know what the heck I was missing until I realised that it was all filler. The character arcs are so so much better — especially, Yukio’s. The manga is still on going and heck, must I say ITS SO GOOD.

I especially love the second season – that follows off from ep 18 ??? I think of the first season and is my fav arc so far in the whole series. The plot is so good! The characters so good! The artstyle so good! I just love it all around.

The fandom is small but pretty active (??). I gained many good friends from it <3333

So yeah, I would rec this one indefinitely.

TWT - Supporting Characters

Original Characters

I’d forgotten how at home the trolls are in the air. They’re so short and stocky that they look a lot more suited to living underground, like traditional trolls in stories, but it’s literally an entire village of Olympic-level gymnasts. I confess to wondering if they use their hair to hang from things/for support when they are being *ahem* romantic with their significant other…

No rainbow blood. When Satin accidentally pricked her finger, it wasn’t rainbow-colored blood. Not quite red, either - it looked magenta to me.

We saw some new sides to Biggie. I was frankly shocked that Biggie could get so furious at Poppy. The cartoon series makes it seem as if he could never lose his temper. Also, the line he says about not being cute anymore, I kept wondering if that was from Biggie, or from his voice actor? Biggie does show some leadership later, though, which I like a lot. Great character development.

And also for Guy Diamond, focused not on himself anymore but on his baby. I liked that they dropped the whole glitter farts thing rather than keep up the joke before it got too old. When Tiny Diamond says he’s going to throw glitter in their faces we humans would take that as an insult or a threat, but I’m guessing the trolls (except for Branch, maybe) are probably like, “Aww…thank you!” LOL

Sadly, someone really wanted to make Smidge unlikeable; potty mouth and whining galore. She didn’t even say OMG, which disappointed me since for some reason it always sounds so amusing coming from a troll.

Cooper – Epic personal journey that provided a really personal connection to one of the new tribes. We see that his personality is like his TBGO character – not as oblivious/dumb as he acts sometimes, even though he doesn’t have a filter between his brain and his mouth.

New Characters

Cooper’s family and Hickory were standout characters. Despite his divided loyalties, Hickory proved himself to be a kind man with morals in the end. I just admired Cooper’s entire family - a strong family that encourages everyone to be who they are, and their tech and protectiveness and sheer coolness blew me away.

Legsly –  I read somewhere that she can’t extend her hair, which essentially makes her less capable in some ways than other trolls, but she clearly doesn’t think of herself as ‘physically challenged’, so I can see why Branch was admiring her at the beginning of the movie. Maybe we’ll get a cut scene about her on the DVD.

Queen Barb was a pretty good villain, whose motivation, thankfully, wasn’t just out of pure evil. She had a lot of funny and astute commentary. “Hating things takes a lot of energy.” So true, LOL. The scene where she tells Riff to help her dad make the Rock troll hand sign is adorable and shows that people are people, who care about those who are important to them, no matter what they dress like or what kind of music they enjoy. Notice the juice box says “Fiber”? LOL. Such a dedicated daughter.

*Canon confirmation of TBGO; we learn in the chainsaw scene that a troll’s hair CAN be cut without hurting them.

I liked Riff a lot, as the apprehensive but insistent voice of reason, a lot like Branch. Just like Poppy, Barb might find the companion she’s obviously looking for if she takes a closer look. Maybe if he’d stop hiding behind that hat she’d notice him, like how Branch finally emerged from his bunker. Hm. Smart and interested in technology. These two guys should talk. I bet they’d be good friends.

seeing that the majority of the fandom, regardless of what pov they watch from, essentially wants the same things to happen on the smp (we all want found family, c!ranboo acting like a ND, etc.)

I also really like seeing all the creative shit people come up with and seeing how other people show their love and enjoyment for these creators. I think it's really cool and fun! I havent really been in a tumblr fandom in awhile so it's a bit refreshing to be in one and not have to deal with even a fraction of the drama stan twt has lol
