Daroach. I think they could have a pretty fun relationship, maybe Daroach could try and convince Starstruck to get into a bit of mischief with him and his gang, or maybe the flirtatious thief is just messing with her a bit to probably steal something only to actually fall for her

Heya! If your requests are open, could I get a Husk x fem!reader one shot? They have feelings for each other but Husk is being stubborn and won't make a move until he sees her being hit on when the group is out somewhere?
combined with a kiss prompt because they worked so well together.
prompt #5: a firm kiss
“Anyone else want another drink?” Charlie asks helpfully, breathless and bouncing on her heels out of the excitement of having a night out with friends. Husk raises his glass – still half-full – pointedly, and she nods before skipping off towards the bar.
“Do you ever have to pay for your own drinks?” you ask jokingly from beside him, and Husk’s ear flicks towards you the moment before he turns to face you, a small smirk on his lips. He takes a sip as though to prove a point, and you giggle.
“Not if I can help it.”
“Oh, so you won’t mind if I…” you take the glass out of his hand, holding his gaze teasingly as you take a sip. He doesn’t look offended; his smile widens, the multicolour lights of the club casting his golden eyes aglow. It makes something flutter inside you, and the sensation doubles when his claws brush against your fingers as you hand it back. “…Thanks. That tastes like window cleaner by the way.”
Husk snickers, pointedly finishing the drink.
A familiar baseline starts over the club’s heavy speakers and you grin, standing and slipping out of the booth. Holding out your hand invitingly, you fix the bar cat with an inviting, hopeful smile. “I love this song. Dance?”
Husk still looks amused, but he shakes his head. He blinks unevenly; he’s had more to drink than you’d thought. “I ain’t exactly one for dancin’, doll.”
You make a show of pouting, but your next words as put on hold when you feel a familiar tall, slim body drape itself against your back. Angel Dust wraps an arm around your shoulders, reaching past you to grab the glass he’d left under your care. He’d been on the dancefloor for most of the night, and you were a little surprised he’d noticed you standing so quickly.
“Ya gotta know the pussycat ain’t gonna be able to keep up with us, baby-cakes,” he says playfully, taking your hand, straightening and spinning you under his arm. You laugh, interlacing your fingers with his as you come to a stop again. Angel gives the demon in question a wink, and Husk rolls his eyes in response. Angel tosses back the rest of his drink and drops the glass back on the table. “C’mon. Let’s show kitty how it’s done.”
You laugh as he drags you out into the throng of moving bodies, spurred into happy, drunken dancing when the spider grinds against you in a half-suggestive, half-joking manner. Husk watches the two of you go, his tail twitching against the booth’s cushioned seat as he watches you roll your hips back into Angel in a way that the bartender swears he isn’t going to be thinking about for the rest of the night.
“You know, you should just ask her out, already.”
Husk’s attention is drawn away from you by Vaggie’s dry tone, his ears folding back slightly against his head. “The hell are you talkin’ about?”
Vaggie raises a brow, unimpressed. Unlike the rest of you, she’s been nursing her drink, and she takes a sip now before answering. “Neither of you are exactly subtle.”
A soft rumble plays in the back of Husk’s throat as an uncomfortable feeling settles inside him. “I got no idea what you’re on about.”
Vaggie fixes him with a pointed look before turning her eye towards you. Husk’s gaze follows hers, and his wings tuck closer to his shoulders as he watches you laugh as Angel dips you as though the two of you are ballroom dancing. “She likes you too, y’know.”
Husk feels his heart thrum against his ribs, and he picks up his glass, remembers it’s empty, and sets it down again irritably. “It ain’t your business, Vaggie.”
“It is when I’ve gotta watch the two of you pining after each other,” she shoots back, finishing her drink. Husk watches her put the glass down and wonders desperately where Charlie is with his refill. Any other royal demon would be demanding to be served first – knowing the Princess, she’d be insisting everyone else place their orders before her. He growls under his breath.
“She ain’t ‘pinin’’ over me,” he replies begrudgingly. Even drunk… or maybe because he’s so drunk, he can’t help the bitterness in his voice when he continues, “She ain’t that stupid.”
“Maybe she’s into assholes,” Vaggie shrugs, her expression softening as she glances towards the bar. Towards Charlie. “It happens.”
Husk swallows, folding his arms across his chest. His tail curls over his leg, the feathered end twitching moodily between his ankles. Still, he can’t help but mutter, “Not to me.”
“No?” she asks, leaning back in her seat and mirroring his position, wrapping her arms across her chest. A smirk plays across her features, self-satisfied. “Well, then, I’m sure you won’t mind that she’s getting hit on right now.”
Husk’s ears shoot upward, his attention flying back to the dancefloor despite himself. “What?”
Vaggie’s smirk widens behind him.

The broad, firm body of the demon behind you presses against you, their claws digging into your hips. Angel grins, one hand still clutched in yours, and he wiggles his eyebrows at you suggestively. You feel your cheeks warm in a different way than the flush brought on by exertion. It feels good – the way they touch you, the line of their body against yours. They’re cute enough to have some casual fun with, and you can’t lie, it feels nice to be desired.
You feel another, larger hand close around your other wrist just as you feel the demon’s mouth graze the side of your throat. You open your eyes in surprise as you’re jerked away from them and against the soft fur of Husk’s chest. You meet his gaze with wide eyes, shudder when you feel his other paw alight on your waist. The way he’s pulled you into him traps your hand between your chests, the back of his hand warm against your breast. You feel your body tingling wherever it’s touched by his, and your breath shudders as you try to catch it.
“H-Husk?” you find your voice after a moment. He seems almost as surprised by what he’s done as you are, his eyes wide, pupils dilated. “What are you—”
Husk swallows back his nerves like the burn of whiskey and he kisses you.
His lips are soft and warm and firm against yours, and his hand leaves your wrist to slide over your cheek and into your hair. Your hand turns to slip through the soft, soft fur of his chest. Husk tastes of booze and smoke and something that makes your insides tighten with excitement; as does the way he tugs you against him insistently. Possessively.
And fuck, it feels good.
send me a prompt and either husk or blitzø

Chapter Seven: ‘Something New’ Bridgerton Au!Anakin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
a/n: i’m back 🤭 this is a lot of fluff y’all so i hope you eat it up 💪💪 it’s bit long because i sort of combined chapter 7 and chapter 8 since it made more sense for it to be in this one compared to what i have planned out. anyways that’s all i’ve got say love you all 💋💋
Tumblr media
seven days, that’s how long you had with Anakin before the responsibilities of the world would catch up with you two. seven days then your honeymoon would be over. thankfully even though the first day was a little bit of a rough start it was what you needed to begin truly getting to know each other. and that’s exactly what you’d been doing, over the last four days you’d learned a lot about him- like his favorite color was light blue. and he wasn’t the youngest but in fact had a little sister making him the middle child, which honestly explained a lot.
you were currently taking a stroll with him in the royal garden, conversing and listening to him explain his family dynamic a bit more thoroughly. Anakin had told you how he’d purposely mess with his older brother to keep him on his toes since in his words ‘he’d be to stuck up and a complete stick in the mud’ if he wasn’t there. which prompted you to then ask what would he be now since he was here.
“that’s what my little sister is for, she looks up to me. practically a mini me but smarter” you snort a laugh at that and he smiles brighter. he truly had a pretty smile. “you sound like you adore her” you say with a soft smile and he chuckles “i do but never tell her i said that.” you quirk a brow “why not?” you ask curiously. “because she’d never let me live it down” he states a bit dramatically but completely serious and you can’t help the smile that never leaves your face only growing with each interaction.
“so Obi-Wan can never escape you then” you voice the thought out loud and Anakin laughs, everything about him you’ve been finding incredibly charming. “oh yea he’s never going to have it easy- Ahsoka is like my apprentice of mischief. star pupil” he said with a mischievous smile leaning in towards you as he speaks making you blush slightly. “only pupil” you point out and he rolls his eyes “for now.” your brows knit together in confusion “what’s that supposed to mean?”
“time will tell” he says with a shrug, you scoff and think about pressing more but decide to drop it. you’re both quiet for a moment, silently enjoying one another’s company as you continue the walk in the garden. the warm sun and floral smell from all the flowers creating the perfect bubble. it was your idea, coming on this walk- in fact you insisted he’d join you so you could show him your favorite spot. he seemed reluctant at first but you quickly realized that was just him messing with you and not how he truly felt. you felt your mind wonder back to his sister “it sounds like she cares about you as much as you do her, so how come she wasn’t at the wedding?”
“my mother was afraid she’d cause a scene- which to be fair i wouldn’t put it past her, she can be a bit….snippy and she’s not afraid to speak her mind it was just not the right time or place for that.” you let his answer hang in the air for a bit, in all honesty she sounded like a good person. a free spirit for sure but still a good person “she sounds like she’d make a good leader” you offer as a response. “i suppose” he says with a wrinkled nose, clearly not agreeing with the thought. “i personally can’t see her as much more than a bratty teen.”
“i’m sure that’s how Obi-Wan feels about you” you counter and he can’t help but laugh “well then i guess i got a taste of my own medicine” you giggle at the thought and begin to lead Anakin across the bridge. you where close to the spot you wanted to show him now, just a bit more of a walk but Anakin had stopped. when you turned to see why his footsteps ceased you where met with him looking over the bridge out across the water admiring the view of the fish swimming up the stream and the way the sun reflected across it. you take a moment to admire him first before walking back over and standing beside him to look over the stream yourself.
“i wish i could meet her, i feel like id love her” it came out soft, almost like you hadn’t fully meant to say it out loud. you could feel his eyes on you now, and then a sudden warmth on your back. his hand was pressed against the small of it, you had to fight back the way your cheeks burned at the action. “if she warmed up to you i think she’d like you as well” he says and you finally force yourself to meet his gaze. “as of right now i’m guessing she’s not to keen on me” you ask with a tilt to your head and he bites back a smile. “very much so” not surprising you did technically take away her brother.
“she’s the main reason i agreed” you blink a few times trying to process what he meant. “huh?” he pulled his hand from you and you had to fight a frown at the loss of contact as you watched him lean an elbow on the bridge railing “well i wasn’t really given a choice- but the reason i was so compliant in the matter, and i know this is selfish. was for her not my kingdom.” you mimic his actions leaning onto the bridge railing yourself as you listened to him speak carefully.
“the kingdom of Tatooine is falling, already on its last leg. i knew if i went along and everything went well then we would get the support we need from Alderaan, which would mean my sister would not have to bare witness to what would happen if we hadn’t gotten the proposal and that was the only reason i was remotely okay with everything.” you felt your heart tug at the confession, that familiar feeling of guilt resurfacing. “you’re a good brother Anakin” he smiled at the sentiment. a small silence filled the air before he spoke again.
“could you tell Obi-Wan that, he seems insistent on the fact i’m nothing but a bad influence” clearly the conversation had gotten a bit to emotional for his liking judging by how quick he was to play it off. you smile at that and pull off from the railing “well i never said you weren’t a bad influence.” you retort as you begin to walk off the bridge and continue the original intention of this walk. “ouch, you wound me” he places his hand over his heart in mock offense “honestly me a bad influence? doesn’t even begin to sound true.” he was smiling as he said it unable to take himself seriously with that statement and you can’t help but laugh “you are full of yourself.” he shrugs “i think i have every right to be” he says smugly and you can’t help but roll your eyes.
“so what does Tatooine need most?” you ask, promptly changing the question as you both round a corner, now in a much smaller section of the garden. the flowers where much more overgrown here the only clear pathway was leading to the center of some pillars. you turn to him with a smile, this was what you wanted to show him. it was your favorite place to hide when you where younger and upset. you’d stumbled across it on accident but it quickly became your favorite place.
he raised a brow but smiled regardless, taking the time to look around before following you up the path. the center of the pillars was clear just a bunch of grass. you plopped down on the ground opting to lay rather then sit after all your dress wasn’t exactly the sitting kind. he stood over you for a moment looking down and contemplating something, you weren’t sure what but you decided to just brush it off once he followed suit and laid down beside you. “what do you mean” he finally asks in response to your question. “i know our coronation isn’t for another few days but we could begin preparations now, and then once we are officially crowned we can take immediate action. so what in your opinion does Tatooine need most?” you explain, turning your head to the side to face him. tracing over his jaw with your eyes and trying to memorize each detail of his face from this angle as he thinks. it was strange how quickly you found yourself falling for him, but he made it easy and you honestly weren’t mad about it.
“the route of our problems is lack of funds. we have a high crime rate, not for lack of laws but lack of ways to in-force them.” he begins and you move your gaze back upwards, staring out at the passing clouds. “go on” this time he turned to look at you “the only jail we have is the palace dungeons, outside of that there’s nothing. and there chalk full already. we’ve thought of building more but all of the money rightfully goes towards feeding the people” he continues and you nod, turning back so you both where facing each other now. “so funds and military support would be most welcome?” you ask carefully wanting to make sure you got what he was implying.
“yes, of course food and supplies would also be a good help but with money they’d be able to buy their own” you hum a brief response before giving him an affirming nod “understood, then we have our priorities” he raises a brow, a small half smile appearing on his face “just like that?” you smile back “well we are to be king and queen, our word is law.” not entirely true, you both did have your own set of rules and regulations to follow. but overall you two where at the top, the people look to you not parliament. “i guess being a king isn’t as bad as i thought” he joked.
a comfortable silence fell once more, only this time you where staring at each other when it happened. you hadn’t realized just how close he’d laid next to you until now, his entire body pressed against your side. faces only inches apart, if you moved any closer you’d kiss. the thought made your stomach erupt with butterflies, it wouldn’t be your first kiss since technically that happened on your wedding day. however it was different then than now. now it was you wanting to kiss him and not a requirement, you felt uneasy. not use to this type of thing, you force yourself to break the eye contact looking back up to the sky before starting a conversation for a distraction.
“tell me more about Tatooine- the good parts what’s it like there?” you ask him and he laughs.“Tatooine has very few good things in my opinion- for starters we’re a desert kingdom, which means there’s sand for days.” he says annoyed and you turn your attention back to him with a raised brow “not a fan of sand?” you ask and bite back a laugh. “i hate it. it’s course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.” you couldn’t hold the laughter in anymore especially with how serious he meant it, brows furrowed like he was cursing the sand in his mind. “well remind me to never take you to a beach” you say in between giggles, it was his turn to roll his eyes at you as you kept laughing. “there is one thing that i love about Tatooine- aside from my family” his sentence pulls you back and you force yourself to calm down. “what’s that?” he relaxes more once you ask and smiles as he speaks “the races.”
“races?” he nods and begins to explain “we have horse races, i was a rider- against my mother and fathers wishes but they never exactly stopped me either. it’s not like i took place in the gambling side of things, i just like the adrenaline of it.” you watched as he spoke with the enthusiasm of a small child. it was cute and his eyes sparkled “have you ever won?” you wonder out loud. “oh yea just about every time i’ve raced, ill miss it” he says rather solemnly and that made your heart ache.
“what if we introduced the races to Alderaan? it seems like a harmless enough tradition” you spoke before really thinking and he snapped straight up like you’d just told him the best news in the world before he quickly shut himself down not sure if you where being serious. “honestly?” he presses needing confirmation before he allowed himself to be to excited. “why not, it could be fun a way to unite our kingdoms- people from Tatooine can come here to compete and vice versa.”
he’d kissed you then. it was gentle but passionate, a smile on his face the whole time. it made your head spin, face burn but you liked that and when he pulled away you did your best to act unaffected not quite ready to express yourself.
Tumblr media
The next two days with Anakin where just as sweet, you both where getting along great. opening up about any thought that came to mind. it was wonderful and then something changed.
you weren’t sure what caused it but he was acting different today. more shut off and distant, it hurt. this was the last day of your honeymoon and somehow you’d messed it up without even realizing. all day he’d been brushing you off and keeping as much physical distance as possible, your head was spinning trying to find where you’d gone wrong. each conversation you’ve had with him running on repeat looking for even the smallest inkling that you’d crossed a boundary of sorts but you kept coming up empty. you tried asking him what was wrong as well wanting to just rip off the bandaid but he simply said nothing was wrong.
talk about emotional whiplash, if nothing was wrong why was he acting this way. why would he not even let you get near him. you’d let him be alone for about an hour before you couldn’t take the pit of anxiety anymore and decided to face him once more. This time you weren’t going to stop asking him until you got an answer, so you made quick work to hunt him down. which was surprisingly easy compared to the last time he’d disappeared. you found him struggling to walk up the stairs, you where quick to rush up to him not even giving him a chance to process it was you who now stood beside him. “Anakin what happened?” you ask concerned reaching out to help him but he moves away from your touch. “i’m fine” he says curtly and you’re taken aback briefly but recover “are you confident in that fact because-“
“i said i’m fine!” he shouts and you go silent letting your arms fall to your side as you begin to pull back, feeling yourself mentally shutting down. you see a look of regret on his face when he finally looks at you, as well as a sheen of sweat on his forehead. actually now that you got a better look at him he was pale, sickly so. he took a deep bated breath before proceeding up the stairs.
“i mean it i’m fine.” you scoff at him before following behind, he was heading in the direction of his room and you where going to make sure he got there safely. “could you just leave me be” you roll your eyes and cross your arms “i’m not going anywhere Anakin so would you just let me help yo-” you watch as he began to fall backwards, in a panic you do your best to catch him only to realize just how heavy he was the second his weight hit your arms and you fall down with him.
he was out cold, you on the other hand where now stuck underneath him. at least you’d broken his fall.
Tumblr media
you wring out a wet cloth before placing it on his head that rested in your lap. you had gotten the attention of your guards and made them carry him to his room as you got a hold of the royal physician. that was two hours ago, now he was resting much more peacefully after he’d been woken up to take some medicine to help fight a fever. The Flu was what the physician said it was, and he’d insisted you not be in the room with Anakin in fear you might get it as well. as if that would stop you, he was sick and you wanted- needed to make sure he was okay. if you got sick in the process then oh well.
you watch over him carefully, running your fingers through his damp sweaty curls. what irked you about all of this was that he said nothing, suffered in silence instead of asking for your help. you thought you guys where finally getting somewhere. finally trusting one another- liking one another, learning to love one another and then he does this. ignores you, pushes you away when he needs you most. you see his eyes twitch and your mind goes blank, waiting patiently to see if he’d finally fully wake up. at least enough to have a conscious conversation.
soon enough his eyes do flutter open, looking around himself briefly to process his surrondings before looking at you. “you said you where fine” was the first thing out of your mouth a frown gracing your features and he had the audacity to smirk. “i was” he huffed, and you had to fight the urge to flick his head. “i’d believe you if you hadn’t passed out right after you said it” he remained silent after that statement and so did you. upset with his actions and not wanting to make a scene while he was sick you figured it best to just quit speaking entirely.
“why are you doing this” you raise a brow and he sighs knowing what you where going to ask “caring for me i mean” you feel your nose scrunch up, what a stupid question in your opinion. “I am your wife, it is my job” he closed his eyes at that “i didn’t think that applied to us” he said simply. “what?” your brows knit together “the duties of a married couple” he adds. it triggered you a bit, why would he think you wouldn’t want to help him. “you’re sick, was i just supposed to stand to the side and watch you suffer?” he opens his eyes and shrugs. “the vows i said may have been empty when i made them but i still made them nonetheless and i for one keep my promises.”
“so you’re only doing this out of obligation?” he asks and you frown “no-” he shifts slightly so that his head is more propped up on your thigh, closing his eyes and letting out a soft groan like it physically pained him to move. “then why? because you like me?” he smiles as he asks- unbelievable he could not possibly have the energy to be teasing you right now. “i’m doing this as your wife and nothing more” you say but it’s clear you aren’t being entirely truthful with that statement and you can tell by the look he gives you he’s not buying it.
“i think you just don’t want to confess you like me” he chuckles but quickly regrets it, closing his eyes again in pain. “if i did i would tell you” you say and begin to run your fingers through his hair again and watch as he relaxes. “well make sure you shout it” he mumbles. “i’m sorry?” he opens his eyes again, scanning over your face before answering “when you tell me you like me, shout it so i can hear you and know you mean it.”
“you’re delusional” you huff but can’t hide your smile and he’s quick to mirror you. “that’s probably the fever” he says with a shrug before allowing himself to doze back off to sleep in your lap.

lee donghyuck/lee haechan: character unlocked!
PAIRING. haechan x female reader GENRES. romcom, fluff, college!au PROMPT. "i'm always flirting with you. keep up." WORDS. 683
Tumblr media
You were breathless by the time you got to the hospital, slightly feeling guilty that you couldn’t make it on time to see your boyfriend head in for his colonoscopy.
Both of you were practically adults now, only a year left before you two graduate from college, and yet he could still act like such a child. Especially when he found out that you were going to be late for his appointment.
But then he stopped whining when he found out that you were going to be late only because you decided to attend the class – the one he was missing due to his appointment – and take notes for him so that he didn’t miss anything.
“Hi,” you greeted the receptionist. “I’m the guardian for Lee Donghyuck? He had a colonoscopy at 3pm.”
Her eyes lit up in what seemed to be amusement and motioned the door behind you. “Ah, so you’re the girlfriend he was telling everyone about. He should be coming out soon. Get ready.”
Your brows furrowed in confusion, wondering what exactly should you be getting ready for.
The second she finished her sentence, you saw Haechan come out with the hospital staff pushing him to his room.
“Donghyuck!” you exclaimed happily.
Your boyfriend seemed drowsy, probably the lingering after-effects of the anaesthesia. You had to hold your laughter back from how goofy he looked, especially combined with the hospital gown and the messy hair.
“Who are you?” he asked as he smacked his lips a few times.
You frowned at his question. “Are you really asking me who I am?”
“Mhm, yeah.” He hummed and then giggled. “You’re pretty.”
Oh, you wished you could film this moment and show it to the rest of the boys. Renjun would  totally make fun of him for this. But you also wanted to keep this moment to yourself. Was that selfish of you?
“Can I have your number?”
“You already have my number,” you answered, slightly annoyed, but also amused.
“Stop lying. I don’t have your number.”
“Donghyuck, I’m your girlfriend. I’m pretty sure that my number is on your phone somewhere.”
“You’re my girlfriend?” Donghyuck gasped, almost exaggeratedly. “Wait, where’s my phone. I need to make sure that it’s true.”
“How about I’ll give your phone back when you’re feeling a bit better, yeah?”
“I’m feeling awesome, though?”
“I bet you do.” You snorted and patted him on his head. “Stay here while I get your discharge papers, alright?”
“Can’t you bring me with you?”
You looked him up-and-down with a side-eye. “In your current state? Yeah, no. Why do you want to stick to me so much? Just be a good boy and stay in your bed until the anaesthesia wears off.”
Donghyuck pouts, his bottom lip jutting out in disappointment. “Is it so wrong of me to want to be next to my girlfriend? I guess I’m a sugar because I stick to you like glue-cose.”
You made a face of disgust and apprehension. “Babe, that was so bad. It wasn’t even funny.”
But that didn’t stop him from dropping another line on you. “I wish I were adenine so that I could be paired up with YOU. Get it? Like adenine is paired with uracil, and uracil’s symbol is the letter ‘U?’”
You sighed through your nose.
“Oh, oh, I got a better one! If I were an enzyme, I would be a helicase so I can unzip your gene,” he said and looked super proud.
Was this how he was able to seduce you and ask you out?
“Are you really flirting with me, right now? In this state?” you asked him while pinching his cheeks.
While you were slightly unimpressed by his choice of pick-up lines, you still somehow found him pretty endearing.
“I’m always flirting with you. Keep up.”
You shook your head and left to grab his discharge papers.
You regretted just the slightest for not filming him.
But Renjun’s cry of anguish when he found out that you didn’t film Donghyuck at a moment of weakness completely made up for it.

hiiii bestie, I have a smut prompt for you
An AU where Aaron is Emily’s best friends ex. There’s always been tension between them but they obviously don’t do anything about it…and then he breaks up with her bestie...and they finally give in to their *feelings* 👀👀
A/N: Bestieeeeeee, I hope you like this one, you deserve all the good things!
Title: Pull me tight and close your eyes (Part 1/2) Summary: College AU. Emily’s best friend and roommate starts to date Aaron and it’s the first time Emily feels like she can’t trust herself around another person. She shouldn’t be envious of her best friend, but she is.   Word Count: 3,2k Rating: Explicit (this chapter is not filthy part 2 will be) Overall Warnings: Smut, dirty talk, might add more For this chapter: alcohol consumption
“Hey Em!” Chloe says as she walks through the door to their shared dorm room. She throws her bag on her bed before immediately jumping to join Emily on hers. “Whatcha doing?”
“Studying for my psychology final.” She barely looks up from the book she’s reading even as Chloe presses her side against hers.
They had met last year in class, had quickly hit it off and become close friends fast. Chloe was everything Emily wasn’t. She was blonde and bubbly, green eyes that always held a hint of kindness in them. She was also a lot shorter than Emily was, but an energetic energy that seemed to vibrate onto others always made her stand out in a crowd.
They couldn’t be more different, but they fit together and for their second year of college they decided to room together. It was working out great, except for instances like these, when Chloe clearly wanted to hang out and Emily was set on studying.
She smiled into the book, already knowing what was going to come out of her best friend’s mouth before she said it.
“It’s Friday night.” She gently pushed her shoulder with her own. “There’s a party tonight, we have to go.”
“Oh we do huh?” The teasing tone combined with the fact that Emily still didn’t look up from the book in her hands made Chloe huff and roll her eyes.
“Yes, cause Aaron is coming.”
Now that got Emily’s attention. Aaron was a boy that her best friend had recently started dating. She had been unusually secretive about it, all Emily really knew was that he was a law student, a few years older and apparently incredible in bed.
“What are we wearing?” She grinned as she let Chloe drag her towards her dresser, the blonde already throwing different dresses in her direction.
*
Emily laughed at JJ and Derek on the opposite side of the beer pong table as she got the ball into their sixth cup.
“I told you not to challenge me!” She grinned when the couple on the other side drank the beer while she bumped her hip with Spencer who was standing beside her.
“Do I even want to know how you’re so good at this?” He asked but Emily didn’t get the chance to answer, her name being called through the crowd.
“Em!” Chloe was pushing her way through the house, a tall guy following her close behind. “Fuck I leave you alone for two minutes and you disappear.” She joked and Emily gestured to the table.
“When a man tells me he’s going to beat me in anything, I have to take him up on the challenge.” Her eyes drift from her best friend to the man beside her and then back to Chloe who seems amused by her words.
“Oh! Emily, this is Aaron, Aaron this is Emily, my best friend and roommate.”
Emily swallows hard, her mouth suddenly dry as she locks eyes with Aaron. His hand is warm and dry as he shakes hers, a subtle arrogance about him that she shouldn’t find attractive but does makes her stutter slightly.
“Hi Emily, it’s nice to meet you.” He smiles, a cheek dimple popping out and she finds it cute.
“Likewise.” She’s surprised her voice doesn’t crack, her hand tingling when she pulls it back.
“I’m going to get us drinks. Please don’t move.” Chloe bounces off before either of them can object and Aaron chuckles and scratches the back of his head.
“So.” He says, dark eyes zeroing in on hers.
“So.” She ignores that Spencer has continued the game behind her and is probably losing but she can’t seem to tear her focus from him. “Chloe told me you’re in law school, I bet you thought you were done with college parties.”
“Yeah it never really was my thing even when I was in college.” Aaron shrugs and then pushes some dark hair out of his forehead. “But Chloe wanted to come.”
“Right, she does enjoy a good party.” Emily immediately felt guilt, this was her best friend’s date, she should not be thinking about how the angle of his jaw looks sharp even in the dark lighting, she should not want to feel his hand back on her and she should most definitely not look at his mouth when his tongue peeks out to wet his bottom lip.
“She does.” He agrees easily, something calm about him that makes him even more alluring. “She said you met in class, are you studying psychology as well?”
“I’m majoring in criminology, but minoring in psychology and linguistics.” She sees one of his eyebrows rise in surprise. “I like to keep busy.” She adds and he laughs, a short, deep chuckle that makes the fine hairs at the back of her neck rise. She had never felt this kind of blatant attraction to another person and it made the guilt burn like hot iron in the pit of her stomach.
“Clearly.” He’s still smiling at her and then Chloe shows up out of nowhere, two cups in her hands.
“Has she threatened you yet?” She asks and Emily rolls her eyes while he looks between them with a look of confusion. “She always threatens anyone new.”
It was true and Emily realizes that she had been too distracted by him to even think the thought.
“No, we didn’t get to that.” She says just as they hear cheers behind them followed by a groan.
“Em, I need help over here!” Spencer calls and she turns to see only two cups standing on their side of the table, while the remaining four was still on the other side.
“Duty calls I guess, but after I’m done kicking their asses I’ll come find you?” She smiles at Chloe who only laughs, the sound loud and infectious even through the loud volume around them.
“Sounds good.”
It’s not long until the game ends, JJ and Derek winning and Emily blames Spencer even though after meeting Aaron she had missed ever single shot she had taken, her focus clearly not there. She finds Chloe and Aaron in a corner, seemingly lost in conversation and she decides not to interrupt them.
If Chloe noticed that Emily left the party early, she didn’t comment.
*
A few weeks go by and Emily couldn’t be happier that it was Friday as she headed out of her last class of the week. She and JJ had decided to go out for a coffee to trade notes for their shared sociology class. The coffee easily turned into dinner, as it so often did and by the time Emily was walking down the corridor towards her room it was late.
She’s exhausted, maybe that’s why she doesn’t hear the don’t come in through the door as she unlocks it and then comes face to face with Aaron, laying in only boxers on Chloe’s bed. He freezes as she looks at him with wide eyes, clearly in the midst of reaching for his clothes that are piled on the floor.
They’re stuck in an eye-lock for what felt like an eternity, then her eyes moves over his body, strong and tall and it takes her another second to realize that she’s still in the doorway and she shakes her head in a vain attempt to get a hold of herself.
“Fuck, sorry!” Emily quickly closes the door, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment as she waits for him to get dressed. When he opens the door soon after her embarrassment has developed into confusion.
“Chloe went to get us some food.” He explains sheepishly and she passes him and sets her book bag down on the floor beside her bed. “She said you’d be gone all night.”
“She forgot to text me.” Emily shrugs awkwardly. “That’s usually what we do when either of us have… company.”
He smiles, somewhat stiff as he remains standing in the middle of their room while she gets on her bed.
“Well… in any case. I’m sorry for this.”
“Don’t be.” She offers him a smile and she can see the way he relaxes slightly. They hadn’t spent much time together yet, but every time they did Emily found herself slightly envious of her best friend. It wasn’t a feeling she enjoyed.
“Do you want me to go? I can wait somewhere else for her.” He offers and she chuckles dryly.
“Don’t be silly, she’ll be back soon. It’s fine.”
Aaron nods and goes to sit on Chloes bed, sitting across the room from her as she kicks off her shoes, not caring about the mess or the way he seems to watch her intently. There’s a tension in the small room, and for the first time she felt like she didn’t trust herself around another person. She’s sure she can see the same heat in his eyes as he continues to look at her, that she feels in her stomach.
“What?” She finally asks and she sees the corner of his mouth tug into an amused smile.
“Didn’t think out of the two of you that Chloe was the neat one.” The mentioning of her best friend’s name immediately makes her feel unease, and not for the fist time she repeats the blonde’s name over and over in her head.
“Give me a break it’s Friday night.” She rolls her eyes but there’s no malice behind it, her own mouth turning into a smile. “It’s been a long day. And now I’m going to have to find a place to crash for the night.”
“Why?” He asks and the smile on her face turns into a laugh of disbelief.
“Cause I’m not sleeping in here when Chloe has a guy over.” She sees the tint of pink rise on his cheeks and she’s happy that he’s not completely unbothered by her candid attitude.
“I’m driving home after we’ve eaten and-” He starts, but is interrupted by the door opening and Chloe walks in holding a pizza. Her eyes get comically big when she spots Emily and she immediately blushes.
“Fuck Em I didn’t text you, did I?”
“You did not.” She smirked, forcing any feeling of unease aside. “But if there’s a slice in that box for me, you’re forgiven.”
“Of course there is.” Chloe smiled and looked between Emily and Aaron for a second, something close curiosity on her face but it was gone as quickly as it came and she went to sit down next to Aaron on the bed.
If Aaron felt the way her eyes lingered on him through bites of pizza or noticed how her breathing hitches slightly when he hugged her goodbye later that night, he ignored it.
*
“Come on Emily, I don’t want to be there alone!” Chloe begged her for the fifth time in as many minutes. Aaron had invited her to his apartment where his roommate was having a party. “If it sucks I’ll drive us back, I won’t drink I promise.” She pouts and Emily knows that she’ll relent at some point. She had been insistent, even though she had been at Aaron’s apartment alone before and Emily wasn’t sure this time was different. But she didn’t want to disappoint her friend and sadly, she had no better plans on a Saturday night.
“Fine.” She agrees and Chloe hugs her in excitement.
“Yes! Also, Aaron’s roommate is super cute, maybe you hit it off.” She winks at the brunette who only scoffs.
“Let’s just get there and we’ll see about that huh?” She ignores the huge smile Chloe sends her and instead goes to find something to wear.
*
Emily had to admit that Aaron’s roommate Matt was attractive, he was tall and built and charming. But she could feel another set of eyes on her, dark and intense. She looked behind her and Aaron stood there, grabbing a beer from the fridge and she swore his eyes moved up and down her body, that they lingered on her bare thighs and cleavage but then he was walking away and she silently wondered if she had imagined it.
“So, you’re Chloe’s roommate huh?” Matt asks easily as he leans over the counter and she nods around the bottle she’s drinking from.
“Yeah.”
“So your roommate is dating my roommate, how fitting.” He leers and she can’t help but to smile at the way he’s so clearly flirting with her. She’s flirting right back, she might as well because spending the evening lusting after her best friend’s boyfriend was not her idea of a good time.
“It is, and she’s my ride so I’m guessing you’re stuck with me for a while.” She sees the grin he’s trying to keep down.
“I don’t see any problems with that.”
*
It’s a couple of hours later and she’s walking out of the bathroom when she walks straight into Aaron in the narrow hallway.
“Sorry.” She says, not really paying attention to who it is until she feels his warm hands on her waist, steadying her. She looks up at him and she sees that same intense gaze that she had felt earlier.
“It was my fault.” He says as he lets her go and she takes a step back. “Are you having a good time?” Aaron leans back against the wall, putting as much space between them as possible but his eyes doesn’t move off her.
“Yeah. Matt is very nice but Chloe disappeared, but then again she has a tendency to do that.” She feels a fluttering in her stomach at their proximity, tries to keep thinking about her best friend that was somewhere in the apartment.
“Yeah it looked like you two were hitting it off.” His eyebrows narrow just the tiniest bit for her to notice. “I’m happy you’re having a good time.” He pushes off the wall and carefully brushes some hair behind her ear and she feels her heart pound harder in her chest. “You look nice tonight.”
She can’t answer, any thoughts gone as he whispers the words against her ear before moving down the corridor and towards the bathroom. For a few moments she stands there, wondering if she’s imagining everything that just happened, or if Aaron was playing games with her, or if he actually did feel attraction towards her.
It doesn’t matter though, he’s dating Chloe and that makes him off limits.
Later that night she finds herself in Matt’s bed his strong body above hers as he makes her fall apart. She can hear Chloe and Aaron from his bedroom, groans and moans and the headboard banging. It’s like they’re trying to out-fuck each other and somewhere in the back of her mind she realizes how fucked up that is.
*
The following morning she sneaks out to get a bottle of water, only wearing Matt’s shirt. It’s still early, only a few hours had past since the last people had left and they had gone into their respective bedrooms, so she didn’t expect anybody to be up.
But she’s pretty sure that she had done something horrible in her previous life, or that the universe was out to get her, because there Aaron stood, his own bottle of water in hand only wearing black boxers.
“Oh, hey.” He looks at her up and down, from what she’s sure is tousled hair and smudged make up, down to her chest and further down to her naked legs. “What are you doing up?”
“I was thirsty.” She says and he is quick to hand her a bottle from the fridge which she takes. “Thank you.”
“No worries.” He leans back against the kitchen island, eyes drifting towards where his bedroom was and back to Emily. “You’re staring at me.”
“Like you did all night?” She counters and to her surprise he doesn’t deny it.
“I don’t know,” He pushes his dark hair off his forehead and then scratches the back of his neck, seeming flustered “I guess I’m getting some… vibes from you.”
“You’re dating my best friend.” She says, unsure of she’s reminding herself or him. “Whatever vibes you think you’ve felt are wrong.”
He walks closer to her, close enough that she can feel the heat of his body against hers as he looks down at her. The edge of the counter digs into the small of her back but she barely feels it.
“Is that so?” He whispers and she feels her own breathing coming out shallow.
“Yes.” It’s a lie, and they both know it but Aaron backs off just as quickly as he had approached her.
“In that case, see you at breakfast.”
*
Breakfast is mostly quiet, all of them nursing some level of hangover, all of them tired. There’s an awkwardness as they sit at the table sipping coffee and eating the Starbucks that Aaron had ordered for them and when it’s time for them to drive home Emily gives Matt a hug and impatiently waits as Chloe says goodbye to Aaron.
The awkwardness doesn’t disappear even as they’re getting in the car, Chloe clearly picking up on whatever is bothering Emily.
“Do you not like Aaron?” She asks and Emily should have known that Chloe knows her well enough to know that it had to do with him.
“I do. I don’t really know him though.” She avoids her friend’s questioning stare and instead looks out the window.
“You haven’t tried to get to know him.” Chloe points out and she has to admit that her friend is right. “It doesn’t really matter though, I don’t think it’ll last.”
Emily turns her head so fast the bones in her neck crack and Chloe hits the steering wheel with one hand.
“I knew it!” She exclaimed, a winning look on her face.
“What?” Her eyebrows knit together at the sudden outburst.
“You’re into him. I’ve seen the way you look at him.”
Guilt and fear in equal measure fill her but to her disbelief, Chloe doesn’t look upset and it only makes her more confused.
“What are you talking about?” She plays dumb, doesn’t know what she’s expecting, but it’s definitely not the laugh that escapes the blonde, light and loving as always.
“Relax Em, I’m not mad. In fact, you two would make a lot more sense than we do. And I’m pretty sure he feels the same way, things have been… off.” She takes Emily’s hand in hers while the other remains on the wheel. “Look, I knew before yesterday that something was weird, but I wanted to make sure and now I am, the tension between you two is thick enough to cut with a butterknife.”
“I never meant-”
“I know.” Chloe interrupted her and squeezed her hand. “I know you would never do anything to betray me. But I’m telling you, go for it, if nothing else you need to see if there’s something there. And he’s a great fuck.” She smirked when Emily groaned.
“Chloe!” She laughed too now, all of a sudden it felt like a weight had been lifted.
“Besides, Matt is hot too, maybe I’ll go for him.”
They both continued to laugh, an ease coming over the previous tension that had been in the car. In hindsight, Emily should have known. Chloe wasn’t the type to settle down and she knew Emily better than she knew herself.
Suddenly everything felt like it would be alright.

“Thanks again Miss O'asisk!” The youngling yelled as Freyu left.
“Take care!” She shouted back.
She waved the youngling goodbye then began walking back to where she had left Asichi, ready to go home after a long day of deliveries.
She'd had a relatively peaceful week, Omega still hadn't wanted to join the more frequent trips to Mlikix after the fright they had, and her little sister was being extra mindful about keeping her secret. Freyu wouldn't make Omega do anything she didn't want to anyway.
She hadn't been bothered by those bounty hunters since her threat nearly two weeks ago. They were still around, Cai’s spies reported seeing them in town, but they weren't messing with her or Omega and as long as that continued, she couldn't give a fuck about what they did.
Asichi whinnied as she approached, the mare trotted in place excitedly. Boa, sleeping on her back, whined at the disturbance of her nap.
“Did you have a good day, Asichi?” She asked, petting Asichi's velvety soft muzzle.
The mare neighed, stomping her feet impatiently, she was ready to go home.
“Alright, alright, I get it, it's been a long day. Let me just pack up then we can head home.” She said.
She took off her backpack, setting it on the hitching post so she could disassemble it into its much easier to carry parts. With the main bag being fully empty, aside from a few spare miscalculated orders, it was easy to fold up and fit behind the saddle.
She set the spare orders aside, only nine this time, so she could put them in a much smaller bag, and started folding the main bag.
Behind you
Boa growled right as she got the warning. She glanced over her shoulder to see the creepy Imperial doctor from the capital standing behind the post, inspecting one of the misplaced orders. He smiled and set the medicine down.
“Miss O'asisk, I am Doctor Hemlock.” He greeted her.
She glanced around for any troopers, it looked like the doctor was here alone.
“Uh… hi? Do you need something?” She asked.
“No, I only wish to speak with you about your work, one doctor to another.” He said.
Freyu narrowed her eyes. Those weren't his true intentions, her instincts said not to trust him, but he wasn't a threat yet.
“Yeah… I don't think we're the same type of doctor…” she pointed out.
He didn't address that and picked up another vile of medicine.
“You make these yourself?” He asked.
“Yes, lots of plants here have some sort of healing properties, I find what conditions and combinations will bring out the most potent effect. It's a lot of chemistry.” She said.
“Did someone teach you?” He questioned.
“My Buir did, it's one of our family trades, and my mother knew some other stuff, and some of it I've figured out myself.” She nodded.
“And I suppose you can use it to make toxins?” He prompted.
“If I answer that, am I going to get arrested?” She asked with a frown.
“Not by me, I'm just curious how someone so young has such a robust understanding of such a complicated subject.” He said easily.
“Okay… yeah… that's believable.” She said sarcastically.
“You're a very cautious person, aren't you, Miss O’asisk.” Hemlock said, eyeing the right side of her face.
She glanced at his gloved hand and smirked.
“I would assume the same about you.” She said.
His face shifted slightly, the corners of his mouth twitched down in an aborted frown.
“So, why are you so interested in what I'm doing?” She asked.
“I'm interested in offering you a position as one of the Empire's researchers.” Hemlock said like it was the most casual thing.
Freyu stared at the human for a solid minute before she could formulate a response.
“Excuse me?!? Why are you- why is the Empire- offering me a job?! Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't seem like the type of person the Empire wants to employ.” She exclaimed with a gesture towards herself.
“You would be hired under my branch of the Empire’s scientific departments. I don't care for the typical hiring policies, I'm much more interested in skill than species.” He explained.
“My department also does work with animals, and you seem to be quite skilled in that area as well.” He said.
“Hmm, how'd you know?” She asked dryly.
He pointedly glanced at Iri perched on her head.
“Just a hunch.”
“Are you doing experiments on animals? I think it's quite obvious that I wouldn't be okay with that.” She pointed out.
“Mostly work with rare, endangered species, preserving and diversifying their genetics to create a healthier population.” He explained.
Now that doesn't seem like something the Empire would do. She thought.
“How familiar with genetics are you?” The doctor asked.
“Enough to get by in my line of work.” She answered, feeling ever more skeptical of this “doctor”.
Iri chirped to her, giving her a silent warning that she needed to get out soon.
“While I do appreciate the offer, I've got a bit too much going on right now and I need to get back home, but I'll think about it.” She told him.
“Very well, the offer will remain until you refuse it.” Hemlock said.
“Thanks…”
He smiled a smile that sent shivers down her spine, turned and left.
She waited for the doctor to be out of sight before quickly finishing her pack up. She mounted Asichi, patting the agitated mare’s neck to sooth her.
“It'll be fine, Asichi. I'm sure it's nothing.” She reassured her.
“Let's just get home.” She suggested.
Asichi whinnied in agreement.
XXX
Freyu knew she was being followed.
She knew since she left Mlikix, accordingly she took a misleading way to get home.
Those idiot bounty hunters were very bad at their jobs.
Asichi neighed again. The mare was growing increasingly agitated as the stalking continued.
They were nearby, all four of them this time.
She stopped Asichi, sitting back in the saddle before lazily glancing over her shoulder at the seemingly empty grass behind her.
“Are you done yet?” She asked.
Iri swooped on them, forcing them to reveal their positions to avoid being attacked by the bird. Asichi turned to face them, bellowing threateningly.
Freyu found it mildly funny that Asichi was much taller than all of them, at the shoulder.
“You are extremely shitty at this.” She commented to the group of hunters.
“Seriously, I'm starting to get pissed off, and while I could just kill you, believe me she would love to,” she patted Asichi's neck, “I don't wanna deal with the bodies or the legal process today.”
She really didn't want to kill someone today, it was way too much paperwork and she would be late getting home if she did. Omega was worried enough as it is.
And when it came to these four, she had a strange feeling in the back of her head telling her not to kill them. It was as annoying as it was vague.
“Legal process?” The shortest and most irritating one echoed.
“Oh yeah, laws here are different for locals than outsiders. See, I'm legally allowed to kill an outsider if they are threatening me, usually you don't need justification, but I have been documenting your behavior in case I need it.” She said.
“As if someone like you could actually kill all four of us.” The big guy laughed.
She shot him a glare. He was the least guarded of all them, probably because he put so much focus on beating everything physically that he never even thought of mental threats.
A perfect target to psych out. She gave his mind a very subtle suggestion of fear as she spoke.
“I am on a horned horse that's taller than all of you, I have several blasters on me, and toxins. I could kill you all multiple times over.”
Freyu couldn't hide her smug grin when the big, fearsome armored hunter stumbled back a few steps out of fear.
“Steady yourself soldier!” Shortie barked.
She took the opportunity to get him with a dart when his back was turned. The hunters instantly went on edge, except Shortie, he was quickly succumbing to the effects of her toxin.
The man was on his knees gasping in seconds.
“What the hell did you do to him?!” The droid shouted.
“Oh relax, it's not a fatal poison,” she glared down at the main, aiming her rifle in his general direction, enough to give the message of not fucking with her, “this time.”
The droid man was clearly the smartest out of all of them, he signaled for his buddies to stand down and protect their fallen member.
“This is your final warning, leave me and my sister alone.” She growled.
Asichi bellowed out her own warning, gnashing her teeth, and they were off.
Freyu made sure to take the most complicated way back home, just in case those hunters really were stupid enough to follow her.
XXX
Omega waited for the security system to confirm it was Freyu entering before she came out of her makeshift hiding spot. Her ori'vod was peering out the window with a pinched expression.
“Freyu?” She called out.
The Pantoran briefly glanced at her, her frown deepening.
“Is something wrong?” Omega asked.
The seed of worry in her stomach growing the longer her ori'vod stayed quiet.
“I had a few strange encounters today.” Freyu muttered.
“Is everything going to be okay?” she asked.
Freyu didn't answer.
“Freyu?”
The Pantoran didn't even look at her.
Her worry turned into panic. Tiny tears stung her eyes.
“Freyu?!” she shouted, voice cracking.
That got her sister to pay attention to her. Her face smoothed out as she calmly faced her.
“Alright Meg'ika, I think it's time for your first escape drill.” she said like it was the most normal thing ever.
“Escape drill? Why do I need an escape drill?!” Omega shouted, stepping away from the door.
“It's a necessity, our family is… well known… by certain groups and sometimes there is trouble. I’ve been practicing this since I was three. It'll be fine.” Freyu explained calmly.
Omega stared at her. She was worried when she came in, something was going on, there was trouble.
“There's something happening, isn't there?” She asked.
“I'd rather be safe than sorry.” Freyu said evenly.
Omega frowned, she didn't answer the question directly.
“What is it?” She insisted.
“Those bounty hunters. They haven't gotten the message yet.” Freyu answered.
They're coming for me.
“Are we going to be okay?” she asked timidly.
Freyu crossed the room, kneeling down to her level, cupping her face in her always warm hands.
“Of course, I'm going to keep you safe. I won't let anything happen to you.” Freyu promised.
Omega held Freyu's hands to her face so she couldn't pull away. I trust her, it'll be okay.
“How does the escape drill work?” She asked.
Her ori'vod gave her a strained grin.
“You're not claustrophobic, are you?”
“What?”
Freyu took her down to the basement where they did their training and Tesi had her main charging station, the droid in question woke up as they entered.
“Tesi, I think we need to clear the premise.” Freyu said to the droid.
“I assume you want a tunnel?” Tesi prompted.
“Yes, forest treehouse, you know the one.” Freyu answered.
Why are they talking so vaguely? Omega wondered.
Tesi scomped in to a hidden port, a patch of the floor shifted away, revealing a hatch that twisted itself open. Peering into it, she saw a ladder on one end of the hole and a sort of strap-in seat on the other. The hole went down deep, but was well light.
“My family has a series of secret passages running from pretty much every building they've ever worked with, the ones in the houses are the most extensive and well taken care of.” Freyu explained.
“Why do you have all these?” Omega asked, shooting her a quizzical glance.
“We’re cautious people, Meg'ika.” Freyu shrugged.
“I'll strap you in, it'll take you down and drop you into the cart, you can also walk through them but it'll take a lot longer and I want you at the safe house as fast as possible.” She instructed.
“Okay…” Omega nodded uncertainly.
Freyu frowned, biting her lip as she thought.
“Tesi, do we still have the star bugs?” She asked.
The droid was busy getting something from a hidden hatch in the far wall. Whatever it was, Omega couldn't fully see it.
“Yes, we've got two left, they should be satisfactory once I reboot them.” Tesi answered.
“The star bugs will help you, just follow their directions.” Freyu said.
“O-okay…” Omega said.
“Good.” Her ori'vod smiled at her, patting her head gently.
“Everything will be alright, I know it will.” She insisted.
Doubt plagued her mind. How could Freyu believe everything would be okay so confidently? There was danger coming for them and she was too calm!
“How do you know that?!” She exclaimed.
“It's just a feeling I have. And I trust that feeling.” Freyu said, brushing her loose hair back.
That doesn't make any sense! Omega thought, a gut feeling couldn't get them very far.
“How can you trust a feeling?” she asked in dismay.
Freyu cupped her face.
“A similar feeling led me to you. So it'll be alright.” she kissed the top of her forehead.
Omega lurched forward, wrapping her arms tight around her sister. She was unable to shake the fear that this was the last time she'd ever see her. Freyu waited a moment then pulled her back and wiped her tears away.
Tesi came up to them, the droid held a strange pair of balls out to Freyu. The Pantoran took them and whispered something in Mando'a or Pantoran.
The little balls came to life, uncurling into cute little bug-like droids. They buzzed around Freyu's head, chittering excitedly in binary.
“This is Omega, she's my sister, I need you to escort her to the tree safe house.” Freyu instructed the pair of droids.
They beeped back at her, fluttering over to land on her head. They were surprisingly fuzzy for droids.
“Her bag.” Tesi handed a backpack to Freyu.
“This has everything you might need in it, a med kit, food, survival equipment, a pair of blaster pistols and enough ammo to reload if you need to. You remember your shooting lesson, right?” she explained.
Omega nodded.
“Excellent.”
Freyu set her down onto the chair, fastening her in securely. She handed her the backpack, Omega saw her Tooka doll tucked into one of the pockets, she held onto the bag like a lifeline.
“Hey, everything is going to be fine.” Freyu assured her.
She didn't believe it, she couldn't let herself believe it, she had a horrible feeling that she would be alone again if she did.
“I won't leave you Omega, we're stuck with each other forever now, remember?” Freyu reminded her.
“Yeah. I remember.” Omega sniffled.
Freyu hugged her one last time, then the machine started taking her down. Omega kept her eyes fixed on the spot of light above her as she descended into the darkness.
Freyu watched her vod'ika until the star bug lights were swallowed by the darkness. She shut the hatch, locked it and locked down all the tunnels except the one Omega was using, just to be safe. She sat back with a heavy sigh. She always had a feeling letting Omega into her home would bring trouble, even before she noticed how fast the little girl healed.
“Do you want me to do a full clear of the premises?” Tesi asked.
“Better to be safe than sorry.” She said.
“You say that so often you should live by it.” Tesi snipped.
“Whatever.” She rolled her eyes.
Her gaze fell on her armor chest. The chest and its extra contents need to be moved, likely to the ship. She needed to put her armor on.
“I'm going to change!” She called to Tesi, receiving a beep of affirmation.
She exchanged the flexible armor plate she always wore to protect her vital organs for a fresh one, then changed her clothes into something appropriate and pulled the top half of her kute on. She got the pants on and made sure the pieces fit together and overlapped correctly.
With practiced speed, she changed into her armor. The feeling of the overlapping plates on her body gave her a slight sense of security.
Buir made this armor, it would protect her.
Now all she has to do was wait for the right moment to strike.
XXX
Chora ignored the insistent nudging on the edge of her senses. The planet was trying to push her towards the one place she was not welcomed.
It had been since she got here.
Honestly it was getting annoying.
Window
Without looking away from her data pad, she opened the window long enough for the fuzzy droid to come buzzing in, swiftly shutting it.
The little bug droid landed on her shoulder, cuddling up to her while buzzing happily.
“Let's see what you got.” Chora said, giving the bug an affectionate pat.
The bug-like droid connected to her data pad, feeding its surveillance into the system. She tapped her leg impatiently as it loaded.
She'd been on the planet for a little over two months at this point, she wasn't really doing her job as a bounty hunter and was more so dealing with the Massii when the Empire didn't want to.
It wasn't what she signed up for but at least she was getting paid.
Still, she was used to being constantly on the move, hunting down targets across the galaxy. She didn't usually stay in one place this long, if she did, it was a vacation or Yaosney forcing her to stay out so she could heal.
She was itching to get moving again.
So she'd sent out her surveillance to check out the one part of the planet she was avoiding like a plague.
Mlikix.
Just to see if there was anything she could do to get things going again. She wanted off this pushy planet.
She absently skimmed through the feed, waiting for something to catch her interest, or for the droid to get curious enough to disregard her orders and go where she said not to.
“Cyare… are you still up?” Yaosney asked, sitting up from their bed to turn on a bedside light.
“Just some late night work, I'll be in bed soon.” Chora promised, turning to her partner.
She blinked sleepily, having only gotten back two hours earlier, collapsing onto bed without getting a shower first. It was a bad habit they shared.
“How about you get a quick shower and change into something clean?” Chora suggested.
Yaosney frowned, tapping her chin in thought.
“Only if you join me.” She said.
Chora rolled her eyes.
“You need to clean that kute, you've been wearing it for days.” Yaosney pointed out.
She had been living and sleeping in her kute and armor for roughly the past two weeks.
“Alright you win, I'll join you.” Chora sighed dramatically, getting up and walking over to her.
Yaosney grinned smugly at her.
“But, I'm going to do the laundry afterwards.” Chora stipulated.
“Fine, but you leave cleaning your armor for the morning.” Yaosney said.
“I think I'd rather do it now.” Chora teased lightly, helping her partner out of bed and into their bathroom.
“Chora! You gotta sleep sometime today!” Yaosney whined, leaning her tired body on her.
“I'm a Pantoran, I don't need nearly as much sleep as you do.” Chora reminded her.
“Bet that sucks.” Yaosney huffed sleepily.
“No, having to be unconscious for a third of the standard day to remain functional sucks, I need half of that.” Chora said as she took off her armor, placing it onto her armor stand so she could clean it tomorrow.
Water hissed as the shower started, glancing back, Yaosney had already stripped the dark body suit she wore on duty and stepped into the shower. Chora changed quickly and got in with her.
Yaosney was busy washing her own body, scrubbing off the day's grit and grime from her skin. Chora lathered up her hands with Yaosney’s preferred shampoo, massaging it into the shorter woman's sweaty, grimy scalp.
“Those helmets do not help your hair.” She muttered as she scrubbed.
“Can't see shit through them either.” Yaosney grumbled in agreement.
Chora turned her girlfriend around, tipping her head back to wash out the shampoo, in turn, Yaosney started washing her body.
“You're so tall, it's not fair.” She pouted.
Chora glanced down at her, grinning.
“Why's it not fair?” She prompted.
“I have to stand on my toes to reach you right.” Yaosney puffed, indignantly looking up at her.
She stopped rinsing her girlfriend's hair, settling her hands on her hips.
“I can always just pick you up.” She suggested, wrapping her arms around her waist and pulling her closer.
“Not in the shower Chora, we'll fall, again!” Yaosney scolded.
Chora chuckled, letting go to finish rinsing her girlfriend's hair.
“You aren't even washing yourself, you're just washing me.” Yaosney grumbled.
“I’d let you, but you need a stool to reach.” She teased.
She was quick to finish washing Yaosney, then did a much faster wash of her own hair, Yaosney was practically asleep standing up. They got out, changed into fresh clothes, and Chora put their dirty clothes into the washing machine while Yaosney (very grumpily) went back to bed.
Her girlfriend was fast asleep by the time she came back to their bed. She kissed her forehead lightly before sitting down at her desk to finish her work.
“What've you got little guy?” She whispered to the little droid.
It buzzed quietly, pleased with what it had found.
“Huh, well whaddya know.” Chora hummed.
It was that group of clones that asshole sniper was obsessed with finding, they were hanging around Mlikix.
That's not good. Chora thought as she went through the images.
Two of the clones were messing with or being threatened by a way too fucking familiar Pantoran.
Ah. Of course. She groaned. This had to be some kind of joke. In the one place she was avoiding, messing with the one person she was avoiding was her way to get the Empire’s ass off this rock and let her get back to her proper work.
She dropped her head into her hands. She could almost hear her brother laughing at the irony, or her misfortune. Probably her misfortune, they weren't on the best terms before he died, he probably thought she deserved this.
He was right. She did. He was always right.
“Fuck me.” She muttered.
She had been trying to get out of here without touching that bomb.
Why are they messing with her? The intrusive little thought wormed its way into her head.
Those clones clearly wanted something, and she didn't look keen on giving it, cause she was a stubborn asshole when she wanted to be.
Nope! Shut it down! Chora scolded herself, she just needed to get off this planet before she had to get involved with her… acquaintance.
She could subcontract someone to give the situation a little nudge. Yeah, that was it.
It had to be someone cheap and inexperienced. She was sending that unfortunate soul into the Mythosaur’s liar, she just needed them to get those clones to reveal themselves, and if her old pal killed them afterwards, no harm done.
She quickly found who she was looking for and sent him the offer, it was more money than he'd ever been offered before so he immediately took it.
She gave her instructions and left the dominoes to fall.
She shut her data pad off, her droid buzzed up, nuzzling her cheek, then settled on it's charging station for the night. She quickly put the laundry into the dryer then climbed into bed with Yaosney.
She laid on her side, looking at her girlfriend's peaceful sleeping face.
Everything is going to be fine. She told herself, closing her eyes to sleep.

Doctor Who Femslash February
So the first prompt of the @doctorwho-femslashfeb list is "Alternate Universe" so naturally I had to take part. Been meaning to write this fic for actual years so seemed like a good excuse!!! Only the first chapter cause it'll be a long one, hope you enjoy! <3
If I Loved You
Summary: Liv Chenka hasn't had much to distract her from a successful medical career since her father's death. While still a junior med-tech at Kaldor City Hospital, she's starting to make a name for herself and is thus invited to a hospital fundraiser. A boring evening turns intriguing, when she catches the eye of a beautiful woman who appears to be all alone. Little does she know at the time that this woman, who she has an immediate and mutual attraction with, belongs to the twenty founding families of Kaldor, and that she would soon be looking after her powerful father in hospital.
Chapter 1
Liv Chenka watched the amber liquid of her drink slosh up the sides of the fancy crystal glass that was likely more expensive than all her own tableware combined. She was still on her first drink, nursing it through a long evening. She didn’t drink much as a rule and while she knew she didn’t have to work until the afternoon the following day, she didn’t fancy the prospect of a hangover. If her presence hadn’t been mandatory, she would have made her escape long ago, but given the circumstances, she tried her best to endure the boring fund-raiser with dignity.
“When do you think it’s acceptable to leave?” Liv hummed to Kit Laver, one of her fellow med-techs whom she had known since medical school. While she didn’t consider him the brightest candle on the proverbial fund-raising cake, he was a nice enough fellow to while away her time with.
“I don’t know what your problem is, Liv,” he chuckled in response, taking a gulp of his drink. Unlike her, he wasn’t holding back and she hoped for his sake that he had leave the next day. “It’s a free bar, we’re literally getting wasted on company time and money.”
“Hope you’re not expecting me to carry you home after this, that’s not happening,” she huffed, taking another sip herself as she looked around the large event space. Kit was right of course, there were worse ways to spend an evening other than getting paid to attend a party, but Liv couldn’t help but feel apprehensive. Upon instruction from the hospital board - and by extension Kaldor City Company - they were representing the up-and-coming med-techs tasked with maintaining the hospitals high standards; and those high standards required a lot of resources. Resources such as money. And who better to ask money of than Kaldor’s ultra-rich? To Liv, the whole experience felt cheap, despite their classy, expensive surroundings.
“Who says I’d want to take you home anyway?” Kit teased, and she scoffed.
“That'll be the day.”
Leaning against the bar, she allowed her eyes to roam around the room once more and subconsciously straightened out her shirt. Among the rich, she felt like an imposter though she hoped her attire didn’t give as much away. Her sister had, in fact, counselled her on the matter and she had ended up in a dark green, well-cut waistcoat over a lighter shirt and matching trousers. In a small act of rebellion, she had turned up her sleeves to appear a little more casual, and Tula had nearly thrown a fit, forcing golden sleeve garters on her as a compromise.
“Want another one?” Kit questioned, turning back towards the bar and she sighed, setting out to run her hand through her hair, but stopped herself when she remembered she’d pulled it up.
“Nah, I’m okay…” She took another sip.
“You working tomorrow then, I take it?” He continued to make small-talk but her attention was drifting when a woman caught her eye, a tall willowy blonde in a navy dress - exactly Liv’s type.
“Yeah, late…” she answered absent-mindedly, as she was more interested in the beautiful woman making her way towards the bar than she could ever be in her slightly tipsy colleague.
“Aaaaand I’ve lost you,” Kit observed, following her gaze, and he raised his eyebrows in amusement. “You haven’t got a chance,” he scoffed, and while until that moment she’d had no intention of actually striking up a conversation, quite content to watch and appreciate from a distance, she took his words as a challenge.
“Watch me,” she hummed, downing her drink in one go, just as the blonde reached the bar a few metres over. She was a similar age to her, beautiful in a classical sense with high cheekbones and bright eyes. Her blonde hair had been pinned up in an elaborate hairdo and while she almost looked too sophisticated for Liv to brave approaching, there was something enchanting about the soft smile she offered the bartender, vastly different from the cool, demanding presence most of Kaldor’s rich had.
“I will,” Kit grinned, as she placed her empty glass on the counter and checked her appearance in the mirror on the wall behind the bar. At least the traditional and distinctive angular eye make-up that her sister had talked her into hadn’t smudged yet. “Looking forward to seeing you get slapped,” her friend hummed cheekily.
“Fortune favours the bold and all that,” Liv shot back, observing the blonde for a moment as she gathered her courage. She appeared to be alone, scanning the room much like the brunette had done not long ago, and she sensed her opportunity. Without allowing Kit to wind her up any more, she pushed away from the bar and walked over, making it look as though she was just arriving to get a drink herself.
The blonde looked around, startled by the sudden presence behind her and Liv tried to play it cool, waving towards the bartender for service. Acting as though she’d only just noticed the woman beside her, she glanced around with an apologetic smile.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to push in front. Did you want anything?”
“No, I- I already ordered,” the blonde answered with a small smile of her own, and quickly she averted her eyes again as the bartender returned with her drink. The faint blush, however, that came to her pale cheeks didn’t go unnoticed. Perhaps Liv was in with a chance.
“Are you all alone?” the med-tech asked, gratefully receiving the drink the bartender brought over. “Don’t tell me you’ve been stood up?” She looked over to her once more, hoping to strike up a conversation. It was hardly an original pick up line but if she could get her talking, that would be a start.
“Hm?” The other woman looked around, obviously in thought and surprised to be spoken to again. “Oh I- Well, I’m meant to be here with my father and he wasn’t feeling well, so… And my brothers seem otherwise engaged…” She gave a dismissive wave as though it was nothing, but her shoulders slumped a little as she took a sip of wine.
“Did you want some company?” Liv ventured boldly, turning to lean against the bar so she could look around the room. There were a lot of beautiful women there tonight but none quite as striking as the one beside her. A frown came to the blonde’s delicate features, seemingly contemplating her offer. She also took a moment to scan the crowd before fixing bright blue eyes to her.
“To be perfectly honest, I was wondering how much longer I would have to stay for before it was acceptable to make a discreet exit,” she answered conspiratorially and Liv couldn’t help but laugh. It seemed she hadn’t been far off with her initial impression that she wasn’t as stuck up and boring as the sea of Kaldor’s rich and famous around them.
“That makes two of us,” the med-tech admitted with a grin, immediately feeling more at ease. “Hate dressing up for these things.” She gave a grimace of distaste as she looked down at herself and the other woman seemed to take it as an invitation to do the same.
“Yet you do it so well,” she complimented once her eyes met hers again, and with a little smile she took another sip of her drink. Liv’s heart leapt. Was she flirting with her? Her observation had been so casual but the curious look in the blonde’s eyes seemed reassuring and made her feel brave.
“I’m not going to compliment your looks,” the brunette decided after allowing herself a moment to look her up and down once more, then added: “Words wouldn’t do you justice.”
The blonde burst into a grin and shook her head in disbelief.
“Smooth,” she acknowledged, and it was quite obvious that Liv had managed to intrigue her. The same was certainly to be said for the med-tech as she couldn’t remember the last time she had felt such an instant attraction to anyone.
“I’m Liv.” She offered her hand to her hopefully, and the blonde grasped it without hesitation.
“Helen,” she introduced herself in turn and Liv smiled. What a beautiful name and it suited her just right.
“If you are unoccupied tonight, maybe you would afford me the privilege of keeping your company?” the brunette continued. “Just so long until it is acceptable for both of us to leave?”
“I don’t see why not,” Helen gave back softly, her eyes sparking in the light of the chandeliers, and Liv smiled as she took another sip of her drink. Perhaps it could become an interesting evening after all.
---
They fell into Liv’s flat entangled into each other, kissing passionately.
“Are you sure about this?” the med-tech gasped for air, telling herself sternly that she needed to give her a choice to turn back. They had only known each other for a few hours and even though they had gotten on extremely well, chatting all night, and their attraction was clearly mutual, that didn’t mean they had to fall into bed with each other straight away. In fact, she was quite eager to see her again and not make it a one night thing. While she had no idea how Helen felt in that regard, it was more than obvious what she wanted now.
“I’m sure,” Helen groaned into her mouth, feeling her way up her body in a shameless, demanding manner that made Liv’s heart race. “Where’s your bedroom?” She started to ping open the buttons of her waistcoat.
“This way,” the med-tech breathed, pulling her along.
---
The faint buzzing of a communicator pulled Liv from the depth of sleep and then, there was movement beside her. Slowly, memories of the previous night came back to her. Pleasant ones at that explained why she was naked under her covers, and why there was a warm body next to hers in a similar state of undress. That body was moving now, shifting to get up.
“Don’t go,” Liv managed to mumble drowsily, looping her arm around Helen’s slim waist in an attempt to keep her where she was.
“I’m sorry, I’ve got to…” the blonde gave back softly, apologetically, sounding genuinely disappointed too. Nevertheless, she turned around once more, allowing Liv to pull her close and she kissed her tenderly.
“Do I get to see you again?” the med-tech asked, trying to blink her sleep away. Her body felt incredibly heavy, aching entirely too pleasantly and she sighed when Helen trailed her hand up her stomach until she reached her chin and took it to press another kiss to her lips.
“I hope so…” the other woman answered, sounding entirely sincere and a goofy grin spread across Liv’s lips. “I’ll leave you my contact…” she promised and punctuated her intention with one last sweet kiss before she pulled away.
“Where do you have to go this early?” Rubbing her tired eyes, the brunette cast a glance towards the clock on her bedside table. It was far from morning. She would have understood if Helen had wanted to leave after they’d slept together, that was usually the done thing with a one night stand, but the fact that she had been content to stay, falling asleep together in a tangled mess of limbs, had given her hope. It had been a long time since Liv had been in a relationship or had any sort of romantic entanglement at all, she didn’t really do one night stands which made the turn of events all the more startling. She wasn’t used to things moving so fast but there was simply something about the blonde that she couldn’t put her finger on, an instant connection, and she had slept ever so well in her arms. The fact that she intended to leave at 4am was confusing.
“A family matter…” Helen brushed her off as she sat up, looking around for her clothes. Liv had delighted in taking that dress off of her and a surge of desire ran through her as she remembered doing as much. She watched the blonde intently as she got up, her slim figure visible enough in the twilight.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come back to bed?” she couldn’t stop herself from suggesting. The view of her long legs was tantalising and she wished to have them wrapped around her once more.
“I wish…” the blonde answered, but pulled on her underwear regardless. She sounded almost subdued.
“Is everything okay?” Liv pulled herself to a sitting position as she grew concerned. The other woman’s behaviour was shifting from the cheerful and free person she’d spent her evening with to something tenser and more sober.
“Everything is fine, I just need to go,” Helen answered, wiggling back into her dress. “I’m sorry. It has nothing to do with you. You’re lovely.” She gave her a warm smile as she turned. Liv frowned but realised there was no point in protesting. She didn’t want to come across as too pushy. She watched as the blonde made her way back to her bedside again and picked up Liv’s communicator, flicking up the holoprojected menu into the air above the wristband so she could key in her details, true to her word. The med-tech relaxed a little, reassured by her gesture. It was a decent consolation prize for not getting to keep her any longer.
“So I’ll… reach out to you?” she ventured carefully as Helen put the communicator down and strapped her own to her wrist that looked a lot sleeker than Liv’s old model.
“Please do…” the blonde confirmed with a soft smile, and leaned down for a parting kiss that the med-tech only too willingly provided.
“I’ll see you soon then…” she asked and Helen nodded.
“I hope so.”
---
When Liv arrived to work at Kaldor City Hospital the following afternoon she had a spring in her step. She’d slept exceedingly well in her physically exhausted, yet satisfied state and even though to a lesser degree once Helen had left, it was still enough to leave her well rested and in a good mood. Most of her morning she had spent resisting the urge of reaching out to the blonde, wanting to give her some time to process and deal with whatever family matter had so effectively drawn her attention. She would be glad for the distraction of work as she’d decided to leave it at least a day.
While Liv was well aware that Helen had given her her contacts and didn’t have hers until she reached out, that didn’t stop her from jumping to every message she received. Inevitably, she was disappointed every time, even though she couldn’t help but shoot a cheeky response to Kit. He had demanded to know how her night had gone after being in stunned disbelief when she’d bid him goodnight with Helen in tow.
The one message, however, that managed to grasp her attention, came from the head of her department when she clocked in to work. She rarely spoke with him, he was usually far too busy and important to mingle with juniors such as herself. Arrogant was another word for it, but she refrained from voicing as she liked her career far too much to get herself in unnecessary trouble. She frowned as she read the message on her way to the ward where her super voc assistant was waiting to greet her.
“Your attendance is required by the chief overseer of the surgical division,” the robot announced, not bothering with pleasantries.
“So I’m just reading,” she hummed in acknowledgement. “I wonder what I’ve done wrong this time.” The joke went above the super voc’s head of course so she carried on. “Make my apologies at rounds, will you? I guess this must be important.”
“Very well, med-tech Chenka,” the robot answered and walked off towards the admissions desk as Liv set off towards the office wing with a sinking feeling in her gut. It was never a good sign to be called there, particularly when she didn’t think there was a reason.
The door to the overseer’s office slid open even before she could make her arrival known, she had clearly been expected.
“Chenka, good good, about time, come in,” she was greeted with some urgency, and nervously she made her way into the office.
“I’m sorry, I only just received your message,” she started but it seemed as though he had moved on from that already, looking up to her from his vid screen.
“You are, supposedly, the best med-tech we have - at your level anyway,” he opened and the last thing Liv had expected to hear was a compliment.
“I, uhh- Thank you, Sir,” she gave back as politely as she could manage while fighting a bout of confusion.
“I’ll cut right to the chase: We have a very important patient as of this morning whom I’ve been tasked with looking after personally,” he carried on, skipping all pleasantries. “Of course I can’t be here all hours so I require a capable junior to be on hand in the hours of my absence.” He leaned back in his comfortable looking office chair giving her a thorough once over. “You are capable, aren’t you, Chenka?”
“Yes, Sir, of course, but-” Liv felt her stomach drop. While she appreciated the confidence, there was the catch. This sounded like the sort of special assignment she really would rather skip: personal responsibility, likely immeasurable overtime and by the sounds of it dealing with a member of the entitled, rich founding families who she distasted with a passion.
“No ‘buts’ Chenka, you’re hereby relieved of all other duties, nothing is more important than this patient, do you understand?” he almost jumped down her throat, and any further protest died on her lips. The high she had been on since last night was quickly dispersing, returning her to the sobering reality of being a junior med-tech who had nothing much except for her skills going for her.
“Yes, Sir…” she acknowledged gruffly, hiding her hands behind her back so the anger with which she’d balled her fists was less obvious.
“If you do well with this, there will be great things in your future, that you can be sure of,” he carried on, ignoring her visible discomfort. “If however, for whatever reasons, things go badly, expect to be out of a job. That’ll mark the end of your promising career here,” he warned her, making her feel even more nauseous and she nodded, lacking a suitable response. And then, after a moment of tense silence, he released a deep breath, softening uncharacteristically as he pinched the bridge of his nose and added: “And possibly my career too, so don’t mess this up, will you?”
“I’ll do my best, like I do for every patient,” she answered at last, hoping to make clear that their patient’s background didn’t matter to her and he sighed in response.
“Please do. Outdo yourself. And please, for the love of God, try and smile and be a bit more accommodating than you usually are.” He gave her a warning look and when she nodded, he picked up his glass tablet, keying in the relevant instructions to transfer the chart to her. “Room 221. I’ve had the whole floor cleared and assigned five vocs, a super voc and two nurses. Let me know if you want more staff though I would prefer to keep numbers low for confidentiality reasons. You’ll have to sign an NDA as well.”
“A gag order? Isn’t that a bit extreme?” That time, Liv couldn’t help herself. These measures were entirely over the top, even for a member of the Twenty. It had to be someone very important indeed, making her look less and less forward to the whole thing.
“It’s out of my hands, Chenka, these are the terms,” he informed her, brooking no argument. “Feel free to use the office and the other staff facilities on that floor, I expect you will need them.”
“Should I cancel the lease on my apartment too?” she shot back sarcastically, her annoyance getting the better of her now and he fixed her with a pointed glare that shut her up.
“You don’t have family, do you? You’re unattached?”
“I have a sister…” she answered back, just to have something to say and cover how much his observation stung. No, she didn’t really have anyone to go home to, not since her father’s death and that was common knowledge. Whatever had happened last night was hardly something one might call attachment…
“Smart woman, works for the Company, doesn’t she? I’ve met her a few times,” he announced and Liv wasn’t surprised. He likely moved in similar circles as Tula.
“Yes.”
“I’m sure she won’t mind having some extra time on her hands to focus on her work. As you should,” he observed sternly and that, it seemed, was the end of the conversation.
“Right…” She nodded, rolling over in the proverbial sense. There was no point in arguing any longer.
“See to your patient, report directly to me,” he instructed in a sober dismissal and she nodded again.
“Yes, Sir…”
She left the office and made for the elevators, as she fought a deep sense of disappointment. There was no way she would be able to see Helen any time soon with this on her hands. Releasing an annoyed groan, she jabbed the button to call the elevator and took to examining the chart on her tablet.
---
“About time, Chenka.” The greeting she received from the lead acute emergency med-tech was far from warm. He was hardly known for his bedside manner or giving prolonged care. It seemed, however, he had been told he couldn’t leave until their department took over, yet another indicator of how important this patient was.
“Sorry, I was only just briefed,” she gave back, looking around the hospital wing that was completely empty, an unusual and disturbing sight in times where hospitals were often over capacity.
“Have fun,” he muttered, more than eager to be on his way and her heart sank even more. It didn’t bode well. She had read the file on the way up to find her suspicion confirmed. While she didn’t keep up with high society, she had heard the name Sinclair plenty of times. They were one of the richest of the founding families with hands in most of the big businesses on Kaldor and it seemed the head of the family had been taken ill over night.
“Right then,” Liv mumbled before taking a deep breath, steeling herself for what undoubtedly would be a test of her patience more so than her medical abilities. There really were any number of med-techs better suited to babysitting a VIP, but if the overseer wanted her, there wasn’t much to do about it. She could only hope there would at least be a bit of a medical mystery to solve to pass the time with. Knowing she couldn’t delay any longer, she made for the only occupied room which was hard to miss as there were two Vocs at the door, and agitated voices sounded from inside.
The door slid open and she stepped inside. There was a bit of a crowd. Two nurses were seeing to sorting out the large room, making it more amenable for their esteemed guest with two more vocs on hand to assist. Two young men stood at the end of the bed, engaged in heated conversation. Judging by their expensive looking suits they were likely family. Her eyes travelled further to the elderly man on the bed who wore a mask of displeasure, interjecting into the conversation the two men - perhaps his sons? - were having. Last, Liv’s gaze reached the bedside on the other side. A tall ginger woman had taken up position by the head of the bed, her attention with the ongoing conversation, though her hand rested on the back of a second woman, a blonde, who was sitting by the bedside, seemingly trying to hold the patient’s hand but finding herself ignored.
Liv’s stomach dropped and she felt as though the very ground had been whipped out from underneath her feet.
It was Helen.
Conversation ceased upon the med-tech’s arrival, everyone’s attention turning towards her, even as her gaze remained glued to the blonde. Somehow, despite it all, Liv still hoped it to be a trick of the light, that it wasn’t really her. That the family matter she’d had to attend to in the middle of the night had not been her father being taken ill…
But the blonde looked up, her bright blue eyes widening in recognition and shock, and Liv struggled to breathe.

Fic Preview: Hey, Okay
Working title: Hey, Okay
Author: Aenaria
Rating: PG (for now)
prompt filled: DLBHQ Weekly Challenge, Song Week!
Characters: Darcy Lewis/Steve Rogers
Tags/warnings: alcohol, people acting a bit creepy while under the influence
Summary: In which a night at a bar to get out of his head, just for a little while, turns into the start of a beautiful…something. They’ll figure it out along the way.
A/n: This is a preview of a story I'm working on, which is a combination of being inspired by a song (it’s worked for me over decades of writing, why stop now?) mixed with the desire to write something soft and sweetly romantic in a happier universe than the one we’ve got on screen. The multiverse is officially a thing now, and I’m absolutely taking advantage of it. And it absolutely fits for the @darcylewisbingohq Song Week challenge too, or at least the preview does. This first chapter isn’t quite done yet, but there’s enough to give a taste of what’s coming.
Look, I’ll get there eventually. Writing has been hard lately, and I’m trying to find my feet again. But that’s a rant for another day.
The song in question is Hey Okay by Anneke van Giersbergen. Sometimes, when a song hits, it really just gets you right in the heart, and this is one of them for me.
*
A couple of minutes later he sees from the corner of his eye a couple of the bachelorettes come up to the bar to order another round, perching a few seats down from him. Steve can feel their stares on him, and it just makes him even more uncomfortable. ‘Why are you like this?’ he thinks, even though he recognizes that he could figure out the answer to that question with a lot more introspection than he’s comfortable with right then.
The bar stool on the other side of him is pulled back with a loud scraping noise, and when Steve glances over he sees the woman from the booth now sitting there, her laptop clutched to her chest and a slightly wild and unnerved look in her eyes. She’s pretty, in a unique sort of a way, wide eyes and full lips, and wavy dark hair piled on top of her head in a messy bun. “Okay, I don’t normally do this, especially with a stranger,” she blurts out, her fingers clenching on the laptop, “but would you mind just talking to me for a little while so the frat boys over there will leave me the hell alone?”
Steve leans back in his seat slightly so he can see the booth where she had been sitting, and sure enough the boys who had trailed the bachelorette party in set themselves up in the booth right next to her. One of them was even brazen enough to set himself down on the bench in her booth right opposite her, and was now looking back at him with a deep frown on his face.
“You need me to run them off?” Steve asks. “I don’t mind.”
“Nah, just talk to me for a bit until they get bored and move on.” She looks past him, squinting in the direction of the bachelorettes. “Besides, it looks like you could use a bit of a bodyguard from the slavering hordes yourself.”
Steve tilts his head in agreement and raises his bottle in a slight toast. “You’re not wrong. It looks like you abandoned your drink back there, can I buy you a new one?”
She grins at him, revealing a small gap between her front teeth. “I will take the finest seltzer and lime this bar has to offer. I’m Darcy, by the way.” She holds out her hand to him, a lot more warm and inviting and just friendlier than most people usually are.
It’s a nice change, to be looked at as just another guy. “Steve,” he says, shaking her hand.

My first fic for the new osws fandom challenge was a loooong time coming. Also it is actually twice as long because I practically scrapped the whole thing save for the one sentence I once teased in an ask-game. 🤦 I had a little trouble finding the vibe but now it is done and it will not get any better, so...tadaa
prompt #1:
❄️ The First Time ❄️
After Shots
rating: E pairing: Daniel Yule/Justin Murisier, Daniel Yule/Justin Murisier/Sofia Goggia characters: Daniel Yule, Justin Murisier, Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone, Kristoffer Jakobsen (mentioned) length: 4'400 words
The bar was packed to the brim with patrons, even more than usual now that the World Championships were in full swing, the noise loud enough to make eavesdropping impossible, and the light dim enough that nobody could see where Daniel's hand was resting as he sat pressed against Justin.
"Forget about it," he said, his next attempt to cheer his boyfriend up. "What is done is done. You'll have other chances to prove yourself, in real races."
Justin did not budge, his eyes locked on the drink in front of him. Daniel hated to see him like that, and he hated even more that there was nothing he could do to stop the re-run of the doomed slalom in Justin's head. As a last resort he grabbed Justin's drink, and with that finally made him look up.
"I said you have to let it go."
Justin huffed, and grabbed the drink out of Daniel's hand.
"You're better than this, and you know it. Everyone knows it."
"Right," Justin muttered, and Daniel had to lean closer to understand him over the noise. "That's why they're letting Gino start in the Super-G."
Daniel silently cursed the coaches for their decision. He squeezed Justin's thigh, trying to convey everything he could not say with words. Justin did not expect an answer though, and with a sad smile emptied the glass.
"I think I'm calling it," he said, and softly pushed Daniel away.
"But…" Daniel tried, though he could not finish the sentence as suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around the both of them.
Sofia glared at him sternly. "Whatever you're saying: Stop it!" She whipped her head around, and Daniel caught a mouthful of brown hair as Sofia mustered Justin.
"I hope you take that second run in the Combined as the sign that it is," she said. "Slalom is shit and will always be shit. Don't ever do that again!"
"Hey!" Daniel piped up, though immediately a warm feeling spread in his chest when he heard Justin laugh.
"I'm serious," Sofia said, and turned her head again. She stood on tiptoes and yet both Daniel and Justin had to bend slightly down on their barstools, and Daniel felt the tingle of his muscles in his back. He tried to sit straight again but Sofia kept them locked in her embrace, her body pressed against them at once soft and yet immovable.
"I really don't know why you're doing this to yourself," she said, and wiped another strand of her hair from Daniel's cheek. "You have so much more in you than slalom."
"Thank you!" Justin exclaimed on the other side. "I've been saying this for years."
Daniel returned Sofia's smirk. Her cheeks were flushed, and the feisty gleam in her eyes did not come solely from the lights above. Before he could say something, she finally let go of them, and slapped her palm on the bar.
"Shots!" she yelled, both an announcement and an order to the barkeeper who began to put a row of tiny glasses down in front of them.
"Are you…celebrating your result in the training?" Daniel asked.
"No! Not that one!" Sofia said, and the barkeeper stopped in his tracks. "Take the good one!" She watched as the barkeeper stood on a stepladder, and grabbed a bottle from the top shelf. Daniel tried to catch Justin's eyes but he was looking over his shoulder, staring at the booth the Italians occupied. Most of them had already forgotten about Sofia, and were deep in conversation again. Only Federica, sitting on the very edge of the couch, still looked at her; or, rather, glared.
"Is everything…okay?" Daniel asked as he turned back towards the row of shot glasses. "Between you and Fede?"
Sofia pushed one of the glasses into his hand, another in Justin's, and raised a third. "Cheers!" she said, and emptied the shot in one fell swig. They followed suit, and Daniel coughed as the strong liquid clawed its way down his throat.
"I am celebrating!" Sofia proclaimed, and smashed the glass back on the counter with so much force that Daniel was surprised it remained in one piece. "Because I am single, and I can do whatever I want, and what I want is get drunk and fuck someone. So!"
She handed Daniel and Justin another shot, and knocked back a second glass.
"You broke up with Fede?" Daniel asked.
"No, because we were never together," Sofia answered curtly.
"Again?" Justin added, ignoring her remark.
"Oi!" Sofia exclaimed, and wagged a finger in Justin's face. "You don't get to say something like that! Not after you tripped over the first gate."
"But you just said…" Justin said but was shushed by Sofia.
"Drink!" she ordered, and waved at the glass in his hand. Justin rolled his eyes but complied.
"You too," Sofia said, and looked expectantly at Daniel. With a sigh, he did as he was told. The second shot already hurt less, and a different kind of warmth began to spread through his body. For a moment Sofia looked around, at the bar and the ground, but before Daniel could ask she wrapped her arm around his neck again, and pulled herself up until she was sitting in his lap.
"Better," she smiled, and distributed the last of the glasses among the three of them.
"Okay…" Daniel began before a whirl in the back of the bar caught his attention. Fede had grabbed her bag, and pushed towards the exit without care for the other people in the bar. Slowly, Justin turned around in his chair, and caught Daniel's raised eyebrows. He shrugged, and emptied his third shot.
Sofia cleared her throat. She sat quite heavily on Daniel's thigh, and he did not know how long he could bear her like that. She tugged at the collar of his shirt with the arm laying around his shoulder.
"We're all waiting for you," she said. Daniel sighed, put his arm around her middle to keep her from wriggling around, and drank the last shot. Sofia smiled, and plucked the glass out of his hand. Her body gave off warmth like a furnace, so much that Daniel wondered whether she was running a fever, and her perfume, fresh, almost tangy and as un-girly as he would have expected from her, made his head spin.
The shots definitely started to work.
"The same again, please!" Sofia said to the barkeeper, and swivelled her head in all directions.
"Okay," she said to Daniel and Justin, "who should I fuck tonight?"
Justin grinned, and looked around. "How about her?" he asked, and pointed at a pretty Blonde in a booth nearby. She and her friends had come straight from the slopes, and in the heat of the bar she had undressed down to her thermal undershirt that hid none of her curves. Sofia, however, wrinkled her nose, and shook her head.
"I don't want a woman," she said, and pushed three of the new glasses towards Justin.
"Right," Justin deadpanned.
"Tonight," Sofia added, and: "I want to fuck a man."
"Okay…" Justin muttered, and grabbed one of the glasses. He clinked it against Sofia's, winked at Daniel, and knocked it back.
"A few of the Swedes are on the other side of the bar," Daniel said, and nodded towards the impenetrable wall of humans around them. "How about Krille? He's fun, attractive…"
Sofia snorted. She handed him one of the glasses, and stared at him until he drank the shot.
"I'm sure he's also never had anything up his ass," she said. "He'd probably cry."
"Well, you see, when it's a man and a woman together in bed, nobody has to take it up the ass," Daniel said, slowly as not to slur. He was not sure if he could stomach another two shots. And to think that it was an ordinary weekday and he was supposed to be fit for training tomorrow…
The look of Sofia he received was full of exasperation. "I'm not interested in getting fucked by boys."
"We know," Justin smiled.
Sofia glared at him before downing another shot.
Justin joined her, and with a thoughtful look stacked his two empty glasses together. "That makes things a bit more complicated," he said. "It's one thing to find a man in a bar for an ordinary fuck but for pegging…"
Sofia pondered his words for a moment, and slowly drank her next shot in small sips. Daniel flinched when she suddenly jerked up, and slammed the glass down on the counter. A bright smile washed over her face, and she tightened her grip around his shoulders. Even four shots deep Daniel could see the idea clearly in her eyes, and he laughed.
"Nice try."
"Come on!" Sofia begged.
"Sofia, I…" Daniel began but broke off when his eyes fell on Justin. He had wanted to tell her that he had a boyfriend but said boyfriend was currently very busy biting through his lower lip with a look of pure hunger, and Daniel's brain froze. Sofia chuckled, and laid her other arm against Daniel's chest, effectively hugging him.
"I think he'd like that," she said softly. There was no need to tell Daniel, he had eyes too. The reason he could not form a coherent thought anymore, other than the alcohol, was that he had not known until this moment that Justin apparently had a fantasy that…
"You would like to…watch…me…getting…?" Daniel asked. The bright red flushing over Justin's cheeks was answer enough.
"Why did you never tell me?"
Justin shrugged, and hastily drank the last shot in front of him as well as the one of Sofia.
"I didn't know how," he mumbled. "But you look never more beautiful than when we're…and I sometimes think if I could watch it once from the outside, really see how you…"
Daniel stared at Justin, and only found back to the reality of the stuffy bar when a finger traced his jawbone. Sofia was still beaming at him. She snatched one of the two remaining shots in front of Daniel, and drank it without taking her eyes off him.
"I promise it'd be worth it," she smiled. "I'm really gentle. Or rough, if that's what you like."
Daniel looked at her and Justin, their cheeks both glowing, her smile inviting, his bashful, and he felt the insides of his head spin like the inside of a washing machine, and he laughed.
"That's…a lovely offer," he said, and pressed a kiss on Sofia's almost scalding cheek. "Wished I had known about it earlier so I could have come prepared."
Sofia's smile did not waver, and neither did her eyes fixated on Daniel until he understood.
“Seriously?” he asked.
Sofia cackled as she relished in his surprise. “What? I'm only travelling with the bare essentials.”
In her back, Justin burst out laughing, and with a wink, Sofia handed Daniel the last shot.
-----
Justin bustled through the cramped room as soon as the door shut behind them, kicking sweaty clothes under the bed, and closing the lids of his suitcases. He only stopped when Daniel wrapped his arms around him, and pulled him into a kiss.
"You know you can tell me everything," he whispered. "And I'm always up to try new things."
Justin sighed, and hugged Daniel tight. "I know," he said. "I just never knew how to even begin…it was just a fantasy, nothing more. I certainly never imagined it with Sofia, if you're wondering."
Daniel laughed, and leant back until he could look at Justin. "I wasn't but good to know."
A sharp knock at the door tore them apart. The short walk through Courchevel had sobered Sofia just enough, and the cold flecked her cheeks with a different kind of red. She threw the bag in her hand on the bed, and slipped out of her shoes and jacket. Daniel did not wait for an invitation, and rummaged through its content until he found the thing he was looking for.
"Huh…," he said. "That's actually quite a reasonable size." He held the black plastic contraption up by the straps dangling from one end, and pointed it towards a grinning Justin.
"Why so surprised?" Sofia asked with raised eyebrows.
Daniel shrugged, and with a smile put it back on the bed. "I thought you'd be freakier."
Sofia laughed, and stepped closer to him. She was more than a head shorter, and had to crane her neck. "I didn't want to traumatise you during your first time. It is your first time, right?"
Daniel frowned, and thought for a moment. "Like, with a woman, or a threesome?"
Sofia rolled her eyes. Then, she leant slightly to the side until she could see Justin.
"Can I kiss him?"
"Why do you ask him?" Daniel exclaimed, and immediately groaned when Sofia pushed him backwards with surprising force. His foot caught at the edge of the bed, and he landed on the soft mattress. Now it was his turn to look up, and going by Sofia's smirk she enjoyed it tremendously.
"Because it is Justin's fantasy, and we're doing this show for him." She turned her head, and eyed Justin.
He chuckled, and cleared the armchair next to the window from a pile of clothes. "You can do whatever both of you like," he said, and sat down.
Sofia nodded, and turned back to Daniel. "I hope you like getting kissed," she said matter-of-factly as she stroked her fingers through his hair, and bent down. Her lips were soft, though Daniel mostly felt the absence of a beard stubble. It felt…not wrong, but unusual.
He kind of missed it.
Sofia sighed when he broke off from her, and focused his attention on the buttons of her blouse while her hands still stroked his hair and cheeks. She wore a sports bra underneath, and he paused while she pulled the tight-fitting garment over her head. Freckles of all sizes littered her chest, unlike the ones on her face they were not hidden under makeup. Daniel explored them with his lips, wandering from dot to dot, though he felt irritation rise at the constant flow of hair falling right in front of his lips. Sofia laughed at another impatient wave of Daniel's hand, and pulled her hair back over her shoulders, keeping it in place with one hand, and giving him clear view of her breasts.
Her nipples were already hard, standing up straight from the dark mound. She hissed sharply when he bit down into the soft flesh, and a first swear escaped her lips when his tongue flicked over the hard bulge.
"Fuck, that's…" she moaned, and grinded against Daniel, as if she could not be close enough. He looked to Justin lounging in the chair, and they winked to each other, though Daniel lost focus when Sofia's thigh rubbed against his dick, and a first sharp buzz spread through his loins. She felt his pause, and pulled away from him, grabbing his head between her hands.
"Did not know you had it in you," she muttered, and kissed him again. Slowly she sank down until she was kneeling in front of him, and between breathless kisses Daniel hurried to pull his jeans and pants over his hips.
"Why? It's not like there's much difference…" Daniel managed in the short respite while Sofia tore the jeans off his legs entirely.
She frowned. "Are you saying my boobs are small?"
Daniel winced, and tried to gauge the expected answer from her face. Before he could put his foot deeper into his mouth though, Justin clapped.
"Focus, please!" he said from the armchair. "I thought this show was for me."
Sofia laughed at Daniel, and combed his hair back. "You should see your face."
"Very funny," Daniel said, and pulled her onto his lap for another kiss. His hand wandered over her sides, the taut muscles under the soft skin, and further down between her legs. A breathless mewl escaped her lips when his hand stroked over her cropped bush and between her wet lips until he found the small, hard spot.
“Fuck!” Sofia moaned as she jerked away, and looked at Daniel with hungry eyes.
“Not yet,” she whispered, and kissed his jaw before moving down his chest and stomach. With a contended smile he leant back on his elbows. His dick was half hard, and his head lolled back when Sofia took him in her mouth with agonising leisureliness.
“Don’t stop…” he muttered when the pleasant friction left, and was replaced with her hand.
“I don’t know,” Sofia mused, and her tone brought Daniel right back. He lifted his head, and blinked at her.
“I just don’t get why you guy always have to make such a big fuss about…this thing,” Sofia continued, and gave his dick a short tug.
“Can you maybe not?” Daniel hissed, and jerked away from her grasp.
“Sorry,” Sofia huffed, and stroked Daniel’s thighs. “Just being honest.”
Before she could move, Justin’s hand landed on her shoulder.
“You’re really shoving your heterosexuality in our faces,” he said as he pushed her out of the way. Daniel laughed while Sofia gave them a pointed look.
“It’s just not aesthetically pleasing,” she said, and grabbed the strap-on from the bed.
“M-hm,” Justin said but his eyes only saw Daniel. He had undressed to  his underwear, and slowly pushed Daniel backwards until he was kneeling on top of him.
“I thought you were the audience of this show,” Daniel said.
Justin kissed him, well-known with beard stubbles and barely contained laughter. “Just felt like participating all of a sudden.”
Daniel bucked his hips until he touched with Justin, and rubbed over his hard bulge.
“Fuck…” Justin panted, and moved down Daniel’s jaw, pressing kisses on his neck. “I can’t wait to see you fall to pieces…”
Underneath them the mattress moved slightly as something heavy crawled up, and plopped down next to them. They both turned their head in unison, looking at Sofia who stared back smiling, her head propped up on her arm. She raised her free arm, and revealed a bottle of lube.
“My turn again!”
Justin moved quick but not quick enough, and Sofia cackled as she dangled the bottle out of his grasp. The cold strap-on poked in Daniel’s side as she moved, and pushed Justin off. She rose to her knees, and scooted between Daniel’s legs.
“Nobody said anything about two against….ah, fuck…” Daniel broke off with breathless laughter as Sofia’s slicked up fingers started to circle his hole and Justin kissed him again. Neither of them let him escape, all his straining caught immediately by a hand, and all his moans caught by a pair of lips. Pleasure surged through his body in earnest now, though his dick seemed to be the only part of his body that lay abandoned, and he mewled when Justin left him. His eyes needed a moment to find focus, and to see that it was Sofia who had grabbed Justin by the shoulder.
“Watch!” she panted, hitched Daniel’s leg higher until his shin was resting against her shoulder, lined the cold plastic against his hole, and slid forward. Daniel moaned, shamelessly and loudly, writhing in the sheets and grabbing the headboard for support as he was slowly torn apart. Sofia pushed on and on until her warm thighs hit against Daniel’s ass, and kept it there. Slowly, Daniel forced his eyes open, and his insides to unclench. His dick was aching for release, leaving a wet trail on his stomach. Justin lay next to him, staring at him with wide eyes, his mouth hanging open.
“You’re so fucking hot,” he gasped, and kissed Daniel again while Sofia started to move again, pulled out a little bit, and pushed inside just brisk enough to hit Daniel’s softest spot. He moaned in Justin’s mouth, Justin’s hands everywhere where Sofia’s weren’t. She picked a steady pace, slipping in and out of Daniel with ease, pushing him further and further to the brink, until suddenly she stopped, and Daniel’s moans deflated to a pitiful whimper.
“Go on!” he panted around Justin’s kisses. “Please, fuck…”
“No!”
“Fuck…” Daniel cursed when Justin left his side, and reluctantly opened his eyes again though it quickly turned into a breathless laugh when he saw Justin’s scowl, and Sofia’s hand wrapped around his wrist while the rest of his hand was hidden underneath his pants.
“Keep your hands away from yourself!” Sofia ordered. “Or I will stop right now!”
“No!” Daniel exclaimed, and Sofia giggled.
“How can you watch when you’re too busy wanking?” she asked Justin. Begrudgingly, he pulled his hand out.
“You little…” he growled but in that moment she pushed forward again, and tore another moan out of Daniel that buried Justin’s words. She picked up the pace again, leaving Daniel no more time to recover. Stars danced in front of his eyes with every move, and with his hand he clawed through the sheets until he found Justin’s.
“Fuck, I…” he panted as surges of electricity ran up and down his spine and he could do nothing more than arch his whole body towards Sofia and beg with every breath. She did not falter or even stop when he came, and simply pounded Daniel through the orgasm until he fell back into the sheets like a ragdoll. He did not even have the strength to hiss anymore when she pulled away from him, simply laid there, feeling the mattress move under his body. Justin’s hand was still in his, first soft and tender but after a few moments tense and strained. When he heard a quiet moan, Daniel opened his eyes.
“I thought you didn’t like…this,” he muttered, and waved with his free hand towards Justin’s middle.
With a wet sound, Sofia let go of Justin’s dick, and languidly stroked it in the rhythm of Justin’s jerking hips. “I said I didn’t get why you have to make such a big fuss about them. Of course I know how to handle them.” She grinned. “Not that it’s very difficult.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Justin whined. “Can you…”
Sofia gave a Daniel a look that said ‘See?’ before she bent over again and made Justin call out new swears. With his free hand, Daniel grabbed Justin by the chin, and pulled him into a long kiss, absorbing every moan and gasp the way Justin had done for him. It did not take long until Justin’s body shuddered before locking up, and his hips came to a stuttering halt. Daniel kept kissing him until they were both gasping for air, and looked up into the smug grin of Sofia.
“You’re welcome,” she said, gave both their thighs a pat, and lurched forward. Daniel groaned as she landed half on him, half on Justin, and wiggled until she was resting between the two of them. A few strands of hair stuck to her forehead, glued together by beads of sweat while the big rest continued to tickle Daniel’s face and neck. His hand was stuck underneath her back, and he pulled it out by shoving her closer to Justin until she was resting against his shoulder.
“Okay,” she panted, threw one leg over Justin’s thigh, pulled her labia apart, and pointed a finger directly below the vulva. “That’s the clitoris.”
Justin snorted, and pressed a kiss in her hair. “Now you’re underestimating us a little bit.”
“I can’t know that yet,” Sofia shot back. “So, anyway…” Whatever she wanted to say died in a choked gasp when Daniel unceremoniously put his hand over said area, and rubbed over her clit. With a sigh she arched her hips, trying to get more of the sweet touch, though her face fell when he pulled his hand back, and with a soft groan sat up.
“You think you’re so funny,” she grumbled.
“I know I am,” Daniel said while he crawled between her legs.
With a sigh, Sofia’s head fell against his shoulder, and she closed her eyes as Justin drew slow circles around her breast, smaller and smaller until he found her nipple.
“So, anyway…” Daniel echoed, and leant forward. Her cunt was as hot as her cheek back in the bar, and he felt the muscles clench underneath the wet skin as he licked over the hard nub, tearing a first, high-pitched moan out of Sofia. Her thighs pressed against his head, even though Justin strained to keep them apart.
“Fuck…,” she gasped, again and again. “Fuck, Daniel….fuck…more…”
Daniel took his time, circling the tip of his tongue around her clit, sucking and licking in succession, and eventually pushed a finger in the tight hole. Sofia writhed, gasping for air, and kept cursing as she came undone under Daniel’s touch. He kept his tongue in place, sucking her clit as it tried to retreat back into her body, until Sofia’s movement became weaker, and with a final gasp fell back against Justin.
She was still gasping when Daniel laid down next to her, cursed, sat up, pushed her long hair over, and laid down again.
“Damn, I did not know that about you,” Sofia eventually said.
Daniel shrugged. “It’s not that difficicult.”
Sofia chuckled, and softly shoved her elbow in his ribs.
A long silence followed. Daniel had lost all sense of time, though the crack in the curtains showed that it was still deepest night.
Sofia was the first to move, raising her head as far as her trapped hair allowed. “Okay…,” she began, “maybe I should…”
“Don’t be silly!” Justin interrupted, and picked up the blanket that had fallen down sometime during the action while Daniel tested the buttons in the wall above the nightstand until he found the light switch, and darkness fell over them.
-----
Hushed curses and the mattress dipping underneath his body woke Daniel up. He opened his eyes a crack, just enough to see Justin on the other side of the bed watching him motionlessly. He winked, and moved his chin just the tiniest bit toward his feet. Daniel turned his head slightly, and observed Sofia from the corner of his eyes as she slipped into her clothes, picked up her shoes and bag, and snuck out of the room. When the door shut with a soft click, Justin laughed, and put his arm over Daniel.
“And?” Daniel asked. “How was that for fantasy-fulfilment?”
“Not bad for the first time,” Justin smiled, and cupped his cheek. “Thank you.”
Daniel smiled back, and tenderly stroked his cheek. “I love you.”
Justin closed the last gap between them for a soft kiss. “And I love you.”
“Also, I have a terrible headache.”
Justin chuckled. “Yeah, me too.”

I know you posted this a few weeks ago, but if you're still taking Sleepover Saturday asks, would you tell me your favourite fictional character and why you love them, please?
Or if you would prefer, any other of the prompts you want!
Hello! Very, very late reply. My inbox is capricious to say the least.
I don't remember that ask thing, but very happy to answer!
I love the Count of Monte Cristo in the eponymous novel. (And I do think there's a difference between Dantès and the Count.)
First of all, he's very very clever, and elegant, which are elements that I love, and even more so when they're combined.
As someone who can hold a grudge a very long time, I also love how the Count is hell-bent on revenge. I support that wholeheartedly and love that for him. Go get them, those men who ruined your life!
He's slightly morbid (has a weird fascination with watching executions) and is very cryptic, which adds to the mystery, and is very much not a Good Person, which I also love. He's the protagonist, but not necessarily the hero. (That would be Albert, I think.)
I admire his patience and his ability at planting seeds long before anything happens, and at controlling and manipulating everything to be just how he wants it.
Overall, the Count is very morally grey, and I love that, and I love his story. I wouldn't want to meet him, but I don't mind that.
(My second favourite character that I can think of is Noirtier, from the same book. I love him. He's tetraplegic and paralysed from neck to toe but communicates by blinking and is, also, incredibly clever. We love a man who tells another that he killed the other's father without saying a single word.)
I also love Rumpelteazer from Cats the musical! She's so cute, and her costume and makeup is amazing, and I love her :)

[ STROLL ] with Carol and the boys
Proposal Prompts
[ STROLL ] : while on a leisurely, romantic stroll in the woods together, sender proposes to receiver.
Tumblr media
With confidence Carol walked out of her room, being happy with her choice of the green floral dress she wore combined with an leaf themed necklace and simple black ballerinas... she wanted to look well today, given the weather was good and she wanted to impress her boyfriends on that date... some months ago she still brought them trouble explaining everything to her parents how she suddenly had 3 partners seemingly out of knowwhere but thanks to Eve and their help she could have convinced them...
Seeing them wait outside the house the reactions were generally positive, Elias blushing bright, James having a warm red smile and Metaron only a smirk for her as she gave each of them a kiss on the cheek before they walked off together. As usual they knew what kinda places she loved... taking her to a walk into the forrest chatting and laughing amongst another. The leaves fell off slowly as the breeze rushed through, often Carol had to hold her dress for it to not flutter off too much... yet still she continued to talk.
"When you think that its so long since we met... I know before I went to that world... I already slightly gave up hopes in finding someone interested in me yet... you three really made me feel loved... I... wanted to thank you again."
James put an arm around her hips and held her closer.
"We do have a little surprise for you on top of the mountain as thanks as well, from all of us to give us so much love."
"You know you don't have to, I am happy with some affection."
Metaron put a hand on her shoulder and looked down to her.
"Trust me its something different."
Confused but intrigued she followed them... the path got a little more Rocky as Elias held her hand to guide her over that tree trunk... it was almost like a secret passageway untill they all arrived.... like a small adventure together... She often affectionatly hugged one of them cause she felt like wanting attention.... yet as they arrived at the top of the mountain she was greeted with a small remainder ruin of a small castle, nearby the view was above all trees so it gave a nice breeze fluttering by her dress... it was soothing yet also something off a dream... she grew amazed at it... then she noticed how prepared the small wodden table was... packed with a picnic bascet, some plates and flower decor.
"Its beautifull. Like something I would read in some of my stories... I don't know what to say."
Elias smiled and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Look in the basket, we have another surprise for you."
She gave a smile and a firm nod, walking towards it... just to find a small note that said 'turn around' and as she did... she suddenly covered her mouth not to gasp... all three kneeled before her with a small box, holding it together...
"This is..."
"We didn't know if one right or three rings was the answer, but one is enough right?"
Tears of happiness fell down her cheek.
"YES 100% Yes,I would want to marry all of you. I have longed for this day for so long. I... still can't believe it."
Quickly she knocked them over with a hug... she didn't care if it soil their clothes or anything she was just that happy to finally been asked this... she after all dreamed about this moment for so long... after the shock and euphoria was over the 4 sat down to start the picnic... Carol wearing her engagement ring proudly and looking at it once in a while still as if this just was a dream... but in all that day her smile didn't stop staying on her face. Even as she teasingly kisses away some left over cream on Elias face from the cake... that smile was one of the brightest the 3 seen ever on her.
"Are you still tearing up, Carol?"
"Its all good just... a bit emotionally overwhelming... I just..."
Metaron pulled her close so she could let those tears out against him as the others comforted her too... they knew she was happy, that emotions often got the better of her but they were glad to keep their apple of an eye safe and comforted, now for the rest of her life.

Bad (Ethan x f!MC)
Book: Open Heart, beyond Pairing: Dr. Ethan Ramsey x F!MC (Dr. Lilac Allende) Word count: 1.2K Warning: Language, implied adult situations  Premise: Ethan learns that his girlfriend was pulled on stage by a notorious singer at a concert.
Note: You guys know I suck at summaries so basically Ethan pays for front row tickets to her favorite artist. Lilac gets pulled on stage and dances all up on him. Ethan finds out.
Tumblr media
A sharp thrum of euphoria buzzes in the air as the crowd spills out of the convention center, so tangible Ethan almost understands the hype. It's no different when Lilac and her sister climb into his car, bringing in the smell of floral perfume and sugary alcohol. They wear twin expressions of pure excitement and it's difficult to tell which of the two looks the most rosy-faced and breathless.
Though Ethan can say with certainty which of the sisters is the loveliest. His eyes rest on Lilac, feeling a thrill when he takes in the deadly combination of leather and lace clinging to her body. When she shoots him a coy wink, Ethan realizes the way her skirt discreetly rides up her thighs is not accidental.
“How was it?” he asks.
Before Lilac can answer, her sister Laurel lets out an ecstatic sort of shriek that Ethan interprets as approval.
“You're the best cuñado in the world,” Laurel proclaims, her voice hoarse, no doubt from putting it to good use during the concert. “Dropping seven grand for front row tickets? I could kiss you! But I know Lilac would murder me if I did.”
“Damn right, bitch,” Lilac returns without missing a beat. “And I'd tell Tobias you kissed another man.”
Ethan chuckles as he begins to drive away from the venue.
“Speaking of being a snitch,” Laurel prompts and Ethan can see her mischievous smirk through the rear-view mirror. “Guess who got pulled on stage by Raleigh Carrera himself.”
Ethan raises his eyebrows, eyes falling on his girlfriend, who glows a darker shade of pink under the sudden attention.
“It was amazing!” Laurel continues, her gestures even more animated by her slightly intoxicated state. “We were right in front of him when his new single with Ronnie K started up. It was crazy! People were screaming. Bras were flying everywhere. Raleigh looked into the crowd, saw Lilac, and did this double take. I think it's because she kinda looks like his fiancée.”
Before Ethan realizes what  is happening, a phone screen is brandished in front of his face. “Right? She looks just like her?”
Convinced Laurel Allende would not be appeased until he looked, Ethan moves his eyes from the road briefly to glance at the picture on the screen. It is a young woman, no older than Lilac, with bright purple hair and startling green eyes. She is objectively beautiful, reassembling his girlfriend but only faintly.  Her face is rounder less defined than Lilac's, her lips not quite as full, and there is a notable absence of freckles.
“Anyway, Raleigh leans in, offering Lilac his hand. Of course she takes it—if she hadn't, I'd have slapped her for being a tonta— and he pulls her up onto the stage to dance with him.”
Lilac, now the color of a beet, shifts on her seat, turning to glare at her sister. Laurel, however, notices nothing and continues to recount the story happily.
“It was his new song, Bebecita. Pure fire!” She begins to sing a series of fast-paced lyrics in Spanish. Ethan can see her twist and grind on her seat to the beat only she can hear. “Lilac was dancing up on Raleigh. Like full on shaking her ass. They were so hot together. Even his fiancée was a good sport about it. It was amazing!”
“Is that so?” Ethan asks, glancing at Lilac.
"Yep! Her dream to grind up on Raleigh Carrera finally came true. Thanks to you!”
If looks could kill, Laurel would have been dead by the glare her sister is skewering her with.
“Glad I could help,” Ethan returns dryly.
Laurel, oblivious, is struck with an idea. “I have video of it. Want to see?”
But before Lilac could dive into the backseat and wrestle the phone out of her sister's hands, they arrive at Laurel's apartment building. Tobias, clad in a white t-shirt and pajama bottoms, greets her at the door.
“Had fun, baby?” he asks Laurel when she flings herself into his arms.
The ravenous kiss she greets him with is answer enough.
“Get a room,” Lilac exclaims.
Tobias chuckles, his hand unabashedly resting on his girlfriend's sequin-clad ass.
“Yeah, yeah. Don't act like you two are any better about PDA,” he says with a wink, to which Ethan rolls his eyes.
After many more excited shrieks from Laurel and amused gratitude from Tobias, they drive away. The silence in the car is heavy, after Laurel's drunken chatter. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Lilac fidgeting in her seat, no doubt grappling for something to say.
In the end, Ethan flicks on the stereo to allow the notes of a concerto to drift through.
“Grinding, huh?” he asks twenty minutes later as they enter their apartment.
Lilac turns to face him, redder than he has ever seen her. The color on her cheeks, her tousled wavy hair, and  the thrill still lingering in her eyes makes her look so goddamn attractive. Not to mention, the neckline of that lace top vanquishes all gentlemanly thoughts from his head.
“It wasn't as scandalous as she made it sound,” Lilac explains.
Ethan slowly closes the space separating them.
“Really? You might have to demonstrate so I can be the judge of that myself.”
A wicked sort of smirk replaces all mortification when she catches his intention. Biting her lower lip in the most enticing way, she swings her hair over her shoulder, turning to press her impressive ass against him. Ethan’s hands find her hips, taking in fistfuls of leather.
“Sure you can handle it, Ramsey?”
As though to prove a point, she swivels her body against him, making him hard almost instantly. Every curve of her body melts against him, moving impressively fast to an invisible rhythm. It’s the sexiest thing he has ever seen, which is saying something because Lilac Allende has shown him an array of insurmountably sexy things in their time together.
“You’re so goddamn sexy.”
Ethan’s caveman brain, regressing deeper into Neanderthal status with every one of her movements, is unable to think of another adjective.
“Only for you.”
“So this is not the moves Carrera got?”
“Not even close.”
She presses tighter against him, making him groan.
“You like that?”
“Yes.”
“Smack it.”
Ethan willingly obeys and she lets out a satisfied little shriek. When her movements cease, Lilac kisses him, their mouths moving hungrily. They tumble onto the couch, Lilac straddling him as they continue to make out. Merciless, she swivels against his hips, sliding torturously against the hard column pressing painfully against his pants.
A series of dings from Ethan’s phone interrupt their kiss. At first, Ethan is determined to ignore them, but they become more insistent. When he glances at the screen, a curious, kiss-drunk Lilac still on top of him, he sees 10 new text messages.
“Your sister,” Ethan says.
“Is she still talking about the concert?”
“Yes. She’s recounting your adventures on stage in vivid detail again.”
Lilac rolls her eyes. “That’s the last time I take her anywhere.”
Ethan chuckles, leaning up to press a loving kiss on her neck.
“Did you have fun?”
“I did. Thanks so much for making it happen, babe.”
“You deserve it. After all the hard work you've put in at the hospital, it's the least I can do.”
“Laurel will never shut up about this either,” Lilac continues. “She called my mother almost every day before the concert to tell her how wonderful you are. They’re ready to erect a statue in your honor.”
Ethan grins deviously up at her, ready to tease her about her choice of words and seamlessly pick up where they left off. His phone, however, pings again, announcing a video from Laurel. When Ethan opens it, he stares at the screen with raised eyebrows.
“What?” Lilac asks, looking over her shoulder to take a look at his screen.
“You tossed your bra at him.”
A beat.
“Maybe?”
Another beat.
“You should be glad, though,” Lilac reasons.
“And why is that exactly?”
“Because I’m currently sitting on top of you with no bra.”
Tumblr media
Note: Lilac is my hero for shaking her ass for two hot men that night.  Also, lucky Ethan is about to get luckier. I don’t want to jinx myself but if inspiration strikes me, I might write a part 2 smut to this. Wish me luck!
This was supposed to be Bad Bunny in the fic but I switched him to Raleigh. I started writing this ages ago when Bad Bunny tickets first went on sale for insane amounts. I lost inspiration and this ended up in WIP graveyard.
Today, however, my social media was inundated with videos of people at the show and I thought, “Oh shit, I should finish that one fic.”
So I start writing it, right? I kid you not, my boyfriend’s sister texts me saying, “Wanna go see Bad Bunny?”
Long story short, we got tickets! The moral of this story is that I might be magic?
Anyway.
Thank you so much for reading!

33.   “Don’t hide from me, I want to see you.”
prompt list
Pairing: Lenny Bruce & Midge Maisel Rated T
Lenny wakes up in the middle of the night to discover his arms free of...well, Midge.
He furrows his brow and slips out of bed, throwing on his boxers and going to look for her. There's light coming from under the bathroom door, and he twists the knob.
She yelps on the other side, and when he enters, the bathroom appears empty, but the shower curtain is pulled shut. He rubs at his face. "You okay?"
"I'm fine," she answers quickly.
He looks around the room, seeing jars of product on the usually empty counter. He laughs softly. "Midge," he drawls. "What were you doing?"
There's silence from the other side of the curtain.
"You know I'm not going back to bed without you," he comments. He leans against the counter facing the shower. "So you might as well tell me."
He hears her huff out a breath. "My night routine."
"Your night routine," he repeats.
"Yes. I look ridiculous, and I don't want you to see me like this."
He shifts, sitting on the counter. "Sweetheart, you scraped me off the sidewalk when I was loaded. I promise you don't look more ridiculous than that."
"I wouldn't be so sure," she grumbles.
"Midge," he pleads gently. "Don't hide from me. I want to see you."
"No."
"Well then get comfortable in that bathtub."
There's another long pause, and then she says, "You can't laugh."
Lenny nods slowly. "Okay."
She slowly opens the curtain. She's got her hair in curlers, tied off with a scarf, and her face is bare, her skin slightly reddened - he assumes from a combination of embarrassment and scrubbing off her makeup.
He grins softly, sliding off the counter and moving to stand in front of her. "You're beautiful," he breathes.
Her cheeks flush a little pinker, and she avoids his gaze. "Don't lie."
"I'm not," he replies instantly. He takes her chin between his thumb and the knuckle of his forefinger, tipping her face toward him so she has to meet his gaze. "You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." He dips his head and kisses her softly.
He feels her smile against his lips as he moves his hands to cup her neck. When he pulls back, she ducks her head slightly. "I never let Joel see me like this."
"No?"
She shakes her head, gripping his wrists lightly in her hands. "I'd get up after he went to sleep, do all of this, and then get up before he woke to...make myself look perfect again."
"You did this every night for four years?" He asks. She nods in confirmation. "You know you don't have to do this for me, right?" He asks.
She shrugs but says nothing.
"I love you, and that doesn't change because of a few curlers and some face cream."
She sighs. "I know, but - "
He cuts her off with another kiss, and she squeaks slightly before melting into him, moving her arms to wrap around his neck. He bends his knees and hugs her around the waist, lifting her out of the tub and returning her to her feet on the bathroom floor. "Come back to bed?" He murmurs against her lips before nuzzling his nose against her cheek. "It's cold without you."
"I've just got one more thing left to do."
"Okay." He kisses her cheek and lets her go, leaning on the counter. "What's the last step?" He asks, picking up one of the jars and inspecting it.
She takes it from him. "Just this."
He grins, taking it back and unscrewing the cap. "Allow me." He puts some product on his fingers and swipes it onto her cheek, rubbing it over her skin tenderly, covering her face. "Okay," he says, kissing her nose playfully before swiping a little of the cream there. "Back to bed."
"Okay," she agrees, taking his hand and letting him lead her back to the bedroom.

Komanami Week Day 2: First Kiss/Gaming Together
Summary | Nagito and Chiaki are hanging out and playing video games (Mario Party) at Hajime's place. With Chiaki's skills and Nagito's luck, things are getting pretty neck and neck. Well, what methods do they take to try to win when Hajime leaves the room?
❥ Pairing | Nagito Komaeda x Chiaki Nanami (Ft. Hajime Hinata, SHSL Third Wheel)
◆ Warnings | My awful attempt at a kissing scene because I'm very inexperienced with writing them (Don't worry, nothing too spicy)
★ Word Count | 3,643 words
@c0rrupted-mov
*I'm combining the two prompts for day two. Fair warning for the next entries for Komanami week, they're probably going to be either late or a little messy. School is more despairful than even Junko is, and homework may keep me from writing these entries. Regardless, I hope they're still decent! Again, sorry if there are any errors or if anyone is out of character! Also, sorry if this is a little cringy. Now, grab some snacks, and I hope you enjoy!*
"AH!" Nagito gasped when the screen displayed him being in second place. "Amazing, Nanami! Even though I won the last minigame, you're still in first place. Truly expected of a talented gamer like you!"
Chiaki let out a sigh of relief. "That was close. I was worried that you were about to overtake me. Your luck really makes things hard."
"Now you get why I decided to stop playing?" Hajime asked as he sat at a table nearby, looking up from his homework. "I would've been in last place for hours. Plus, Komaeda's luck would have definitely gotten me to strangle him."
"Aw, really?" Nagito smiled. "Now I really wish you kept playing then."
"Implying...?" Hajime turned around to face Nagito, his his face holding a slightly concerned expression.
Nagito shrugged. "Ah, don't immediately assume the worst, Hinata. I was thinking that it would funny to see you acting like a sore loser."
"I'M SORRY, WHAT PART OF ANYTHING I SAID IMPLIED THAT I WAS A SORE LOSER?!"
"The fact that you said that my luck would've gotten you to strangle me," Nagito answered with a gentle smile, like it was obvious. "Surely, someone who isn't a sore loser wouldn't be so angry about losing just because of my luck. So, this clearly shows that you're a sore loser."
That little explanation of his earned him a pillow thrown at his smiling face. "Fuck off, Komaeda," Hajime snapped. "I meant that your lucky ass is annoying as hell to deal with."
Nagito removed the pillow to reveal him trying-and failing- to fight the grin that was creeping onto his face. Small snorts of laughter could be heard as he tried to keep his expression neutral. Hajime crossed his arms.
"Oh, ha ha! You're really funny. You could be a comedian considering how big of a clown you are!"
"I-I'm just-pfft-teasing, Hinata," Nagito let out, still failing at fighting off his laughter.
"Leave him alone, Komaeda," Chiaki said, turning away from the game for a moment to give her boyfriend a scolding look. "If Hinata doesn't want to play, he doesn't have to. Stop teasing him."
Nagito let out another snort of laughter before raising his hands up in defeat. "Alright, alright! I'll leave him alone. I'm sorry, Hinata."
Hajime smiled. "Thank you. Nanami, you're really my lifesaver."
Chiaki turned to him with a blank expression. "I stopped him because I didn't want him to get distracted from the game."
Hajime's jaw dropped. "SERIOUSLY?! Komaeda, stop laughing!"
Nagito was practically laughing his ass off as he wrapped an arm around Chiaki. "Oh my god...Nanami!"
Chiaki nuzzled her head against his shoulder. "What? This game is becoming extremely interesting right now. It's a battle between skill and luck! I need you to be focused so it could be fair for the winner." There was an unusual fire burning behind her blossom eyes as she stared at the screen. Nagito had dealt with this look before since she mainly got this when she's really invested in a video game.
"Oh come on, Nanami! Don't be ridiculous. There's no way that someone as lowly as me could even have a chance to defeat an amazing gamer like you. Besides, you're basically asking me to try and crush your hope. There's no way I would even dream of doing that."
"Don't talk like that," Chiaki said. "I wouldn't be upset if you win, Komaeda. I'm just having fun playing with you. But..."
She turned away from the screen to give him a rare glare. "You'll be crushing my hope by not even trying to win. So, please be quiet and continue playing with me."
"Yes, ma'am!" He quickly replied. This time it was Hajime's turn to stifle his laughter as Nagito immediately turned his attention back to the screen.
He rolled his dice block and moved 10 steps forward...and landed on a dash forward space that made him move another five steps forward and skip a lot of dangerous spaces. Chiaki gritted her teeth as an NPC went next. As much as she loved her boyfriend, she did have to somewhat agree with Hajime. Nagito's luck can be a major factor of who wins in a video game, especially in Mario Party. It really keeps her on her toes, which is actually refreshing.
After a while, Hajime got up and walked towards the kitchen. "Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom and get us some snacks. My brain hurts from those stupid equations."
"Take your time," Chiaki said before Hajime left. Her eyes didn't shift away from the screen as she rolled her dice block and moved 3 spaces, landing on a VS space. "Another minigame. And it's a 4-player minigame as well. Guess I'm up against your luck again."
Nagito smiled, resting his chin on top of her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll win this one, too."
"Hey, I thought you were going to try to beat me," Chiaki complained. "I want you to have fun instead of letting me win."
He smiled. "Who says I'm not having fun? I enjoy myself whenever we play together, regardless if I'm winning or losing. As long as I'm in your presence, then I'm having a good time."
Chiaki smiled and gave Nagito a peck on the cheek. "Thanks...but seriously, don't make this easy for me. This is probably one of the most challenging games that I've played, and I'm determined to win fairly, with you giving it your all as well!"
He chuckled. It really was rare to see Chiaki get so fired up like this. She was usually so calm and passive. Then again, he supposed that it was expected for a pro gamer like her to act differently when it comes to a heated and passionate game. Honestly, he wasn't complaining. He liked seeing this side of her.
"Alright, I'll do my best for you, Nanami," Nagito said before smiling awkwardly. "Honestly, it's weird to even imagine someone like me to get competitive with you, but, just for now, I'll try not to think about it too much."
His smile then shifted to a smirk. "However, don't get too upset when my luck proves to be superior."
"It's on!" Chiaki's eyes had narrowed slightly as she returned his smug expression with a smile. She pressed the A button on her Joy-Con to get the randomizer to pick the minigame. When it stopped, it landed on a minigame that basically needed them to take turns petting a giant sleeping caterpillar until it wakes up and the player who woke it up loses.
An arrow moved rapidly in between each of the four characters and landed on the second NPC. The screen moved to the caterpillar and the NPC began to rapidly pet it several times before the 5-second timer ran out and it was Chiaki's turn. She waved her Joy-Con gently in the air, carefully watching the caterpillar for any sign of it waking up.
"You're being really careful about this, Nanami," Nagito smiled. "And you're earning a lot of points as well! Amazing!"
Chiaki's turn ended and she sighed in relief as Nagito went next. He wasn't nearly as careful as she was when swinging the Joy-Con around to pet the caterpillar. Despite that, however, it didn't wake up. In fact, it didn't even open an eye or jerk its head.
"Good job," Chiaki said. "It didn't even show any signs of waking up."
Nagito chuckled. "Honestly, it was just my luck."
The two NPCs went up next and earned some more points. Chiaki noticed how the caterpillar was beginning to open an eye more often. She also took note of how it jerked its head away during the second NPC's turn, a small vein popping on its head as it did so.
'It's going to wake up soon,' she realized as she held out her Joy-Con, ready for her turn.
Meanwhile, beside her, Nagito was also noticing the signs of the minigame being over soon. He took a look at the amount of points each player had gotten. Chiaki had six points while he had five. Looks like there was a good chance of her winning this minigame.
'That's great!' Nagito thought. 'She's going to win. As expected from her.'
But...then he thought back to what Chiaki had said earlier.
"I don't want you to take it easy on me..."
He glanced over at Chiaki, who was now waving her controller carefully, taking extra caution when noticing the violent way the caterpillar jerked its head. Her face was scrunched up slightly as she bit her lip, concentrating on the minigame. Nagito felt his heart fluttering as he took in the sight. Then...a mischievous smirk crossed his face as he thought of something. She did want him to win, right? So...what if he made things a little interesting...?
Chiaki waved her controller once more. 'That's enough. It's extremely close to waking up, so I should stop petting it-'
Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her to the left. She yelped, waving the controller in surprise as she felt Nagito kiss her cheek. She glanced up at the screen to see that the game had taken her waving the controller as a command to pet the caterpillar again. Her heartbeat felt like it almost stopped for a second. But, thankfully, all that happened was the caterpillar opened one of its eyes.
She sighed in relief before turning towards Nagito, who was looking away from her with an innocent expression. "Komaeda, why did you do that?"
"You said for me to not make it easy for you," he shrugged.
"Not like that," she sighed while crossing her arms.
"Oh well, it's not like my plan succeeded anyways," he responded nonchalantly, a smug grin on his face. Chiaki frowned. He really did try to sabotage her by distracting her with a kiss. And he wasn't even feeling guilty about it as he gave her a charming self-satisfied grin. He's lucky that he's pretty.
Chiaki took a deep breath and allowed for a calm smile to cross his face. He wants to play that game, huh? Fine. He just has to know that she plays any game. And wins.
Nagito waved his Joy-Con to pet the caterpillar. This time, however, he was far more careful, keeping a watchful eye on any agitated sign that it made. Chiaki watched patiently as Nagito got three pets in before going through with her little revenge. Just as he was moving his controller back down, she grabbed his face and pulled him towards her. Nagito waved his controller violently in surprise as she quickly brushed her lips against his.
His eyes were as wide as plates when Chiaki let him go with a small smile on his face. What...was that? Did she...just kiss him? Nagito couldn't believe it. Sure, it wasn't really that much of a kiss more so than her just barely touching his lips, but still. They had never kissed on the lips before. They only shared cheek kisses, or hand kisses, or head kisses. Never on the lips. Nagito couldn't even wrap his head around why Chiaki would want to even place her gentle lips on his. His heart was pounding in his chest...
"I won," she said in a soft voice.
"Huh?" Nagito was snapped out of his thoughts as she pointed at the screen. He turned to see his character being chased by the now awakened, and very angry, caterpillar. Chiaki's character was cheering as it was announced as the winner.
“What?” Nagito whipped his head back towards her. “What just happened? Did you…seriously?”
She giggled, and Nagito could hear a playful note in her tone. “Yep. You decided to try to sabotage me with a kiss, so I decided to try to do it to you. How does it feel to lose at your own game, Komaeda?”
Nagito’s jaw dropped. “Chiaki Nanami…you really succeeded in making me lose by using my own trick. I can’t believe it…”
She stuck her tongue out. “Well, you decided to pull that trick with me, but I guess I got lucky and didn’t lose the minigame. So, you can’t really complain about me doing it to you, or else, you’ll be a hypocrite.”
Nagito chuckled. “Oh, I’m not planning on complaining. I know what I did deserved some kind of karma thrown back at me, but I just didn’t expect you to really kiss me back…” He looked down at the cushions of the sofa and touched his lips with his fingers. “And I lost because of it…”
This let out another small laugh from Chiaki as she hugged him. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to one-up you in your own game and get a little revenge. Although...I'm a little surprised. I was expecting your luck to keep you from losing."
Nagito was silent for a moment, staring at the couch with a small frown. Seconds passed and he still didn't respond to her, instead just touching his lips. Was he thinking about something?
"Komaeda...?" She called. "Are you okay?"
As soon as she called his name, Nagito looked up and smiled. "Oh! Forgive me, Nanami! I was just thinking about something. It was about my luck...you remember how it works, right?"
Chiaki nodded. “You said every time something bad happened to you, something good would happen in response to that. It’s kinda like a trade of sorts."
“Exactly! Wasn’t expecting you to remember that. So…to answer why I lost despite my luck, I think it was because, for once, the opposite happened."
Chiaki tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean by that?"
Nagito turned towards her and hummed slightly, but didn't respond. Chiaki could practically see the gears turning in his head as he debated on whether or not to tell her. However, he just shook his head. "Never mind that. Let's continue playing, shall we?"
He reached for his Joy-Con, but Chiaki quickly grabbed his wrist. He turned towards her, raising his eyebrow slightly. "What are you doing, Nanami? Don't you want to keep playing?"
“You’re saying that because you got good luck, you had bad luck in order to balance it out, right?” Chiaki clarified, ignoring his question. “That's what the opposite of your luck means. So, are you saying that me kissing you was the good luck and you losing was the bad luck?”
Nagito was silent for a moment before laughing. “Wow. I should’ve expected you to immediately understand, Nanami. I guess there was no point in me attempting to hide it.”
“But…why didn’t you want to tell me?” she continued to question. “There isn’t any harm in me knowing, so it doesn’t make sense.”
“Uh…” Nagito tried to form a response, but Chiaki quickly interrupted him.
“Is it because you want me to kiss you again?” she asked him. “And you didn’t want me to know that because you felt like you were going to bother me with one of your ‘selfish desires?’” She made finger quotations.
'How did she immediately understand it?!' Nagito tried to keep his expression neutral, but his mind was screaming right now. He opened his mouth to respond, but, instead of saying anything, he quickly shut it and looked away. His pale cheeks were tinted with a rosy pink.
"So, I'm right," Chiaki nodded, understanding what his silence meant. "It's fine if you want me to, Komaeda. That kiss I gave you wasn't really so much of a kiss, so I want to have my proper first kiss with you and be able to enjoy it. So, if you want..."
Nagito continued to remain silent, but now, his heart was pounding as he considered her offer. He looked back to see her waiting for an answer, leaning slightly closer with a small smile.
“I-I couldn’t ask you to grant my selfish desires, Nanami. I don’t deserve that kind of happiness that you being my first kiss would bring, especially after what I pulled-”
"You do deserve it," Chiaki immediately said, brushing his hair out of his face. "Unless, you don't want me to kiss you?"
“I…well, of course I do, but-”
"Then, there's no problem," she said, leaning even closer to his face. Nagito froze up as there was hardly any distance between them left. Her face was inches away from his, and he couldn't believe that she would even want to kiss his disgusting lips. He could feel his heart beating faster and his palms sweating as a battle went on in his head; one side telling him to give in to the temptation and the other telling him that he didn't even deserve to be touching her. He took another look at Chiaki's face, her eyes fluttering shut as she anticipated for him to close the distance between them. He gulped.
And just went for it.
Or tried to. He closed his eyes and tried to remove the distance between them, but felt himself completely missing Chiaki's lips. His nose collided with hers and he felt a throbbing pain form there.
"Ow!" He groaned, holding his nose. How the hell were people able to kiss perfectly with their eyes closed?! Chiaki burst out laughing at Nagito’s failed attempt and cupped his face with her hands.
"Forgive me, Nanami," he apologized. "I've...never done this before."
She shrugged. "Neither have I. But...I think you're supposed to aim for the lips." With that teasing sentence being the last spoken, she closed her eyes and held his face still as she finally closed the distance between them. Nagito felt her lips perfectly pressing against his, hitting their target. He took a sharp breath in as he felt the softness of her lips envelope his in a loving embrace.
He froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. His hands stayed firmly to his side, not knowing where to go or what was okay to touch. All he could do was relish the soft warmness of her lips against his cold, chapped ones. Chiaki, meanwhile, clumsily wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers through his messy, long white hair. He felt sparks flow down from his neck through his entire body, exciting him and thawing through his hesitation. He could practically hear her heartbeat matching his, and it was more hopeful than anything his luck had ever given him. There was a feeling of comfort and affection being poured into the kiss, and it made Nagito intoxicated on that feeling. Why was he preventing himself from this warmth and love? He knows that he didn’t deserve it, but it still felt so good to have it spread towards him from this kind-hearted gamer.
And he wanted more. He was ready to snake his hands around Chiaki and pull her even closer to him, drunk on the feelings that she was giving him.
“Hey, guys, sorry it took me a while, but-WHAT THE HECK?!”
Nagito and Chiaki quickly separated and turned to see Hajime standing at the edge of the hallway, staring right at them with his jaw dropping. Nagito felt his face heat up an uncomfortably burning red. When did Hajime get in the house?! Was he always here?! Wait, who’s place was this again?
“Well, this is awkward,” Chiaki said blankly, but she felt like an idiot for completely forgetting about the chances of Hajime walking in while they were kissing. She supposed it was because she was so caught up in the moment that she wasn’t thinking clearly. Her cheeks turned red as she looked down at the cushions of the couch. Could she kick herself right now?
Hajime shook his head, rubbing his temple. "Okay, what the fuck did I just walk in on? I know that you two are a couple, and I'm happy about that. But, did you forget that we're hanging out and this is my place? Honestly, the moment I leave the room, you two seriously are making out on my couch-"
“Actually, we weren’t making out,” Chiaki corrected. “We didn’t even use tongue-”
“ONE! I DON’T NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS, NANAMI! TWO! HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW WHAT EXACTLY MAKING OUT IS-YOU KNOW WHAT, NEVER MIND, NOT IMPORTANT!”
Hajime’s face was red as he shook his head violently. "Could you two PLEASE save this crap for when you're not hanging out with me at my place-or with anyone at anyone's place? Seriously, it's really awkward to walk in on you guys."
Nagito grinned slightly. “Well, it’s not our fault that you took forever, Hinata. What were you even taking so long for anyways?”
“Well, I’m sorry that Soda called me, but don’t change the subject! I know that you’re trying to hide your embarrassment from being caught by taking the opportunity to tease me. Listen, I’m not mad, but I would appreciate it if you didn’t do this kind of shit when we’re hanging out together.”
“Why? Are you upset that you’re the third wheel, Hinata? You don’t have someone to do this stuff with, so you’re taking out your jealousy towards me and Nanami,” Nagito teased.
Hajime rolled his eyes and threw a bag of chips at Nagito. “At least, I don’t have to worry about being caught, Komaeda! That’s an advantage of being a third-wheel. WAIT, I DON'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT! I’M NOT A THIRD WHEEL!”
Nagito burst out laughing as the chip bag hit the sofa cushion next to him. “You just admitted it!”
Chiaki giggled as well. "Hinata, are you or are you not a third-wheel? Which is it?"
“Shut up! And stop laughing! You know what, give me a Joy-Con when you’re done with this party. I’m going to kick both of your asses for this.”
“Good luck,” Chiaki giggled. Hajime glared at his two friends for another moment before his face softened into a slight smile. He tossed the other snacks towards them. For the rest of the day, the three continued to play video games and have fun, with some light teasing being thrown here and there.
As she was playing however, Chiaki thought back to the kiss that she and Nagito shared earlier. She giggled, her cheeks turning pink as she thought about how amazing it was and remembering the butterflies in her stomach as they kissed. Despite the awkwardness that came afterwards...she could safely say that her first kiss was perfect.

Nude Lipstick? Check.
Cute Heals? Already wearing them.
Wearing a dress that hugged your curves perfectly? Yes.
When you and Bucky got together, he promised you that he would take you out on a date at least once a month. It didn’t matter if you were both tired. He always wanted to take you out.
This time it was a bit different. Bucky was taking you to somewhere fancy. When you would ask him about the restaurant, he would simply try to ignore the question.
You were finishing up getting ready when Bucky was leaning on the doorframe staring at how beautiful you looked. He loved seeing you wearing your pajamas with ketchup stains, but whenever you would get ready, his mind would go wild. He had a smile on his face as his eyes were roaming all over your body. You were wearing a beautiful long black velvet dress that was a deep cut on the chest area. Bucky always thought that he was lucky to have you by his side. He was always grateful that you were.
Ring…. Ring…Ring…
Bucky’s phone started to ring. “I’ll be back, Doll. Steve is calling me.”
He goes to the bathroom downstairs and locks himself in it. He wanted to make sure that you were unable to hear his conversation with Steve. Luckily, you were playing music as you were getting ready.
“Buck, are you ready to do this?”
“Yes, I’m ready to ask her” he pauses as he places his hands on his pockets, holding an item. “I have everything planned out. She is going to love it” a small chuckle escapes his mouth as he starts pacing back and forth. “I’m a bit nervous about doing this.”
Steve takes a big breath, loud enough that Bucky was able to hear it through the phone. “There is nothing to be nervous about, Buck. You love her. Just remember all those things that you have told me, that you can’t wait to build a family with her, that you wouldn’t trade anything in this world for her”
Bucky started to breathe heavily as his steps were getting heavier. He knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, but he wasn’t sure If you wanted to do the same. The thought that your answer was going to be no, scared him.
He completely ignored everything that Steve was telling him. It’s white noise to him. He takes a couple of deep breaths. “I can do this. I have to go, Steve thanks for the pep talk. I’ll let you know when we leave so you and the rest can come to the house.”
Turning on the faucet, he throws cold water towards his face. “you got this, you can do it,” he whispered to himself.
Whenever you would get ready, Bucky would usually stay and watch you. He would compliment you and tell you sweet things to boost up your confidence. He didn’t care if he got a call. He would stay and let you listen in. So, it was odd that he left to talk to Steve about something.
Walking down the stairs, you notice that Bucky was at the bottom with his hand on the railing. Bucky’s eyes were digesting as he looked at you from head to toe. He was speechless. His eyes were sparkly, his mouth was hanging open slightly as he took in your appearance. To him, you were walking in slow motion. You looked so beautiful, he didn’t want to forget this moment.
Once you were at the last few steps of the staircase, Bucky extends his hand towards you. Without a second thought, you place your hand on his hand. “You look so beautiful, Doll.” He had a smile on his face.
Bucky was wearing a tailored black suit with a white shirt underneath, the two first buttons were unbuttoned, and his hair slicked back. Fuck, he looked good. “Babe, are you sure we can’t just stay in tonight and order pizza?” you knit your eyebrows together and push your bottom lip forward, making a pouty face.
“We have to go. The reservation is at 8pm” Bucky rolls his eyes as he gives a brief chuckle. He gets near you and places his metal hand on your waist meanwhile his other hand goes behind your head. He wanted to look at you up close. He wanted to see every little detail on your face. He mainly wanted to admire what was his. “Wait here. I have something to give you before we head out” He leans in to give you a forehead kiss.
Bucky heads to the kitchen to grab your gift. Your mind wonders what he could be talking to Steve about. Before your thoughts could continue, on the corner of your eye, you can see Bucky walking towards you with roses and a sunflower bouquet. Those were your favorite combination of flowers. “Bucky, you didn’t have too” your eyes start to water. You were so grateful to have him in your life.
Placing the bouquet on your arms, “I know I didn’t have to, but I wanted to. This is the first time we ever go out to a fancy place, and I want you to remember this” You get on your toes to give Bucky a kiss on his lips before you both head out.
Bucky held on the side of your dress. He didn’t want the tail of the dress to get dirty. When he opened the car door for you, he helped you by lifting the dress, making sure that it didn’t get trapped on the door.
Hungry eyes
One look at you and I can't disguise
On your drive to the restaurant, you shared laughs with stupid jokes you both would make. Every time your favorite song played, you and Bucky would sing your hearts out. You would dance. Meanwhile, Bucky would try to as he was driving.
A couple of minutes later, you were sitting across from Bucky at a very fancy restaurant. It was well decorated, and the ceilings were very tall with so many beautiful chandeliers. The place was dimly lit with a lot of candles.
You watched him look over the menu, and your mind wandered away from the food. You started to wonder when he had time to plan all of this and what was Steve’s call about. He was always with you, and if he wasn’t with you, he was with Steve and Sam. Your eyes were roaming all over him, from his steel-blue eyes to his metal hand. It brought you joy that he finally felt comfortable showing his metal arm in public.
“What is that beautiful mind thinking about?” Bucky asked you, breaking your inner monologue. Most of the time, he can tell what was going on in your mind. But due to him being nervous about what he is going to do later tonight, he couldn’t figure out what was going through your head.
Looking back down to the menu, “Oh, it’s nothing. Just wondering what I should get to eat.” You shrugged. With your index finger, you randomly pointed to something on it “hmm, chicken parmesan sounds good.”
Bucky shakes his head, and a lopsided grin forms on his face. “Ever since the day that I met you, you have never been a good liar,” he winks at you as he takes a drink from his cup of wine. “especially when it comes to lying to me.”
You take a big breath as you sighed “I’m just grateful” you didn’t want to throw any clues that you were suspicious of him. “that you are in my life, Buck.”
Bucky nodded, indicating that he felt the same way towards you. “I am too, doll. I have a feeling that you are a bit confused about why I brought you here. I just thought that it was time for us to go to a real fancy place” He looks up at you with wide eyes and places his hand on top of yours.
He was always thoughtful about the locations he took you. He always wanted to make sure you were comfortable and that you would enjoy being there. “It’s perfect, honey” you turn your hand so you can hold his hand.
He takes a big breath as he relieved his tense shoulders when he heard that you loved being here. “I should have brought you here sooner.”
“yes, you should of,” you said in a teasing voice.
Bucky sets down the menu and stares at you. “Mmm… you should be careful with that teasing,” He prompted you, leaning in towards you from across the table.
You grinned mischievously and leaned in as well, so you were closer to him “or what am I going to get punished later if I continue?” you asked in a low voice.
He had the same look you did as he nodded.
You gently bit your lower lip “oh, you wouldn’t dare,” you said slowly and seductively.
Placing his metal hand on your cheek, “Yeah, let’s see about that,” slowly moving it towards your neck, gently wrapping his metal fingers around it. He winked at you.
You both leaned back as the waiter came back to take your orders.
-----------------------------
Throughout dinner with Bucky, there were shared laughs between the two of you. He would tell you stories about how he and Steve were as kids. How he was tall meanwhile, Steve was short that would always put newspapers on the insides of his shoes to seem taller. You always loved hearing his stories.
"Bucky, I love you" you placed your hand on top of his.
Bucky always had a surprised look on his face whenever he heard you say 'I love you' to him. He never thought that at some point, he would hear those words from another person. His eyes were slowly filling up with tears. "I love you too. I-"
His phone started to ring. It was Steve again. Bucky takes a big breath. "I'll be right back, baby."
Bucky got up as fast as he could. He was heading to the restroom. Watching him walk away in such a hurry made you more suspicious of what he could be doing. You started to overthink about the things that he could be doing. He never acted like this. Your first instinct was to text Wanda and let her know about concerns
8:37 pm Wanda, Bucky has been acting a bit weird all day.
Minutes pass by, Wanda hasn't responded, and Bucky was still on the call with Steve.
8:54 pm Sorry, love, my phone has been acting up. Why do you think he is acting weird?
This was odd. Usually, Wanda would respond to your messages rapidly, but this time it took her time. Why was everyone acting weird?
Bucky was walking back and forth in the restroom. He was lucky that the restroom was only one stall. If not, people would think that he was going crazy. "Steve, is everything ready?" he started to heavily breathe at the thought that things might have to be moved to tomorrow. "Please, just tell me."
“Everything is just fine, give us- Peter, stop throwing rose petals everywhere and just place them on a line on the staircase- yes, Bucky, everything is fine” Steve wanted to sound confident, but everything wasn’t okay. He didn’t want Bucky to panic even more.
Wanda rushed to get Steve’s phone out of his hands. “Bucky, she is suspicious that something might be going on” there was a bit of silence. “Go out there and tell her nothing is going on.”
The fact that you were suspicious of the actions that he was doing threw him off his balance. Bucky’s mind went blank unsure what he needed to do next. He froze into place.
Meanwhile, Bucky was spaced out. Steve was on speaker.
“Peter and Sam put down the fucking rose petals. Stop making a mess. Please, you two can tackle or attack each other later.”
“Bucky, are you still there?”
“See what you guys did. Bucky froze, and he is probably panicking” Steve sounded annoyed with what was going on.
“Cyborg, do you need me to Amazon Prime you a charger for that brain of yours to compute again” Sam yelled loud enough Bucky was able to hear him.
“Can you all just shut up? I should have brought the girls instead of you three bird brains” Wanda sounded frustrated and just wanted the decorating done.
“excuse me, I am-“
Bucky hung up the phone. He couldn’t handle hearing them argue anymore. He needed to calm down before heading back to you. He takes out the box that he had been holding on to for months. He didn’t want to open it. He was just looking at it.
You were scrolling through Instagram, Twitter, any social media platform to distract your brain as you were waiting for Bucky to come back.
“Hey, let’s get out of here” he grabs your hand and pulls you out of your seat. He placed money on the table to pay for both meals and tip the waiter.
You both were speed walking towards the entrance. Every 5 seconds, he would look back at you to see your reaction. You were looking at the ceiling at how beautiful it was. Every chandelier was different. None of them were the same.
“So, where are we going now?” you tilted your head as you gave him a brief smile. With what has been happening all day, nothing can’t surprise you anymore.
“We aren’t going anywhere. We are going for a drive around town.”
As Bucky was driving, you would occasionally lay your head on his shoulder. It was a quiet ride. Every time there would be a red light, he would gently tilt your head towards his direction so he can give you a kiss on the lips.
Looking through the car window’s you notice that Bucky was driving further away from the city. You wondered why, but you didn’t want to ask him questions. You knew that whatever place he was going to take you, it was going to be meaningful.
Turning around to see how far away you both were, you weren’t able to notice the city anymore. There was an occasional light through the drive but not often. Bucky pulls over to a random empty parking lot. He leans in forwards and takes off his jacket, wrapping you around it, so you weren’t cold.
Bucky presses the button to open the sunroof and turns off the car. You started to recline your seat, so you have a better view of the sky. Bucky did the same. He lifts up with his arm so you can lay your head on his chest.
Staring at the night sky. You weren’t able to see nor count the stars due to light pollution. But it didn’t matter to you. All you cared about was spending time with Bucky.
Placing your hand on one of the jacket’s pockets, you felt a rectangular-shaped box. “aha, I found what you have been hi-“ you take the box out of the pocket. Bucky widens his eyes, thinking that you have taken out that one specific box. “oh, it’s just your phone” there was a sound of disappointment in your voice.
“You think I’m hiding something don’t you” he laughs a little.
“You’ve been acting all weird today. Of course, I think you are hiding something” you push your lower lip forward and knit your eyebrows together. You wanted to see if making that face would make Bucky talk.
Bucky places his left hand on your chin tilting your head upwards, so you can see him more clearly. He gently takes a bite of your lip and pulls it towards his direction, closing your lips and his lips together. He pulls away for a moment. “I’m not hiding anything, Doll. I promise.” Slamming his lips back to yours, not giving you a chance to respond back. He slips his tongue into your mouth in a demanding way.
He takes your hair and moves it behind your shoulders. Moving his lips to your cheeks down to your neck. He tilts your head slightly, having full access to your neck as he continues to nibble on it. “Let’s go to the backseat, Bunny,” he whispers into your ear seductively.
You have always liked Bucky’s car, since the backseats had a ton of room. He was quick to help you move to the back seats, and he followed you. The moment you both were in the backseats, his lips were pressed against yours. Meanwhile, his hands were working on the zipper at the back of your dress. The hastiness making it clear that he wanted it off of you as soon as possible.
As soon as the straps were falling off your shoulders, Bucky cups your breast massaging them. You sneak your hands to unbutton his shirt. You started to move your lips towards his neck and grab his shirt pressing your lips against it, leaving lipstick all over the shirt's collar. You gave him a smirk as your hands traveled down to his pants, unbuckling his belt and zipper. Earning a gasp from him when your hand slightly rubbed against his hard length.
Bucky notices that you were struggling, so he moves his hand from your breast to push his pants and underwear lower. He places his hands underneath your dress, pulling it downward, exposing your breasts and your torso to him. Cupping his hands on your ass and massaging them. You took your arms around his neck as you climbed to sit on his lap. "All night, I've been craving to do this to you, Bunny" Bucky smirks as he sneaks his fingers down to your heat, pushing your panties aside. He rubs his fingers against your lips, circling them around your clit a few times before gently taking two of his fingers into you.
You leaned in forwards, placing your lips against Bucky's shoulder, biting his skin as you moaned, trying to be quiet. "fuck, Bucky."
Thrusting his fingers inside of you, he smirked to himself, knowing that he can make you into such a needy mess. He nibbled your earlobe as he slowly pulls his fingers out of you and proceeds to lick them as he stares deep into your eyes.
You stroke his cock a couple of times before moving it to your entrance. You let it go in slowly, letting out a quiet moan as you did. You rolled your hips and bounced on his lap in a matter of seconds.
Bucky groaned, his hands moved to your hips, digging his fingers on your skin. Occasionally he would move your hips to control your movements. He threw his head back, closing his eyes. He wanted to feel your walls clenching around his cock and hear your voice moan and occasionally whimper.
When you released a very loud moan, he had known that he had just hit your spot. Causing him to press his lips onto yours, slipping your tongue into his mouth as you tried to control how loud you were being. Bucky swifts your body so that you were now lying down. Your legs were wrapped around his waist as he continues to thrust inside of you.
You could hardly stay quiet. Placing your hand on the back of his head, you pull him down for a kiss, moaning into his mouth. Moving his metal thumb playing with your clit. Breaking the kiss, Bucky places his other hand on your mouth, attempting you to be quiet. "Bunny, are you close?" he grunted into your ear. You nodded rapidly as you threw your head backward. "okay, wait for me. I want to cum at the same time as you do." he mumbled against your collarbone. He started to thrust into you sharply, and his fingers this circling against your clit. You moaned loudly against his shoulder, your legs tightening around his waist and your walls clenching down around his cock. Causing you to bit down on your lower lip as you got closer to your climax. With every thrust that he went in deeper, hitting your spot. After a couple more thrusts, you both reach your climax at the same time.
You both knitted your eyebrows as you both moaned together. You two had to catch your breaths and come down from your high. Bucky pulled out of you and immediately went over to grab the tissues to help you clean yourself.
The window of the car was fogged up, and your makeup was running down your face. “Look at my messy bunny” Bucky takes a tissue and tries to help you clean up your makeup.
-----------------------------
Driving home, Bucky completely forgot about the surprise he had for you.
Walking into your house, you see a trail of rose petals from the entrance to the staircase. "Bucky?" you had a confused look on your face.
"Let's go upstairs and take a bath" he forms a smile on his face.
Heading to the bedroom, the trial of roses continued. You simply ignored it but deep down, it made you happy that Bucky planned this when we got home. You grab your pj's and his. Meanwhile, Bucky was preparing a bath. You stared at yourself in front of the mirror. Wow, you were such a mess.
Bucky was lighting up the candles that were in the bathroom and placing them around. When preparing the bath, he makes sure it's at the temperature you like and filled with bubbles. He places the box next to the bathtub making sure that he could reach it when he needed to get it.
As you were heading to the bathroom, that same trail of roses lead to it. Opening the bathroom door, you notice the path ended. You see Bucky surrounded with lit candles and with the scent of roses. You walk up to Bucky, getting on your toes to give him a brief kiss on the lips "was this something you were trying to hide all day?" he nods in agreement "ha, I knew it" you lean on to give him a kiss on his cheek "I love it Bucky."
"I knew you would, Doll. Now turn around. I want to help you put up your hair," turning around, agreeing on letting him put your hair in a ponytail or in a bun. He was always so gentle he didn't want to hurt you, not tug your hair too hard whenever he would do that.
You start to undress, and Bucky does the same. He lowers his body into the bathtub. He takes your hand, helping you lower your body onto the tub.
He wraps his arms around you as you lean onto him. He nibbles on your ear and kisses the back of your head.
You grab a handful of bubbles and try to throw them in his direction. "Hey, you got bubbles on my eye," he complained as he grabs a couple of bubbles and rubs them on your face. You both were uncontrollably laughing.
"Doll, we should play a game" he gently pushes you forwards, exposing your back to him. "You need to guess what I'm trying to say, okay."
You give him a brief nod agreeing that you wanted to play with him.
Bucky takes a big breath as he knows that he is about to ask you, and no matter what your answer was going to be, there is no turning back.
With the fingertips from his right hand, he starts to spell out 'Marry Me.'
"wait, wait, Bucky, spell it again. I'm not sure what that word is"
Once again, he spells out 'Marry Me' against your skin.
You were still unsure of what it was, you shifting your body now being able to face him. "I know this is cheating, but I have to know what you spelled out" you chuckled a little.
"yes, that is cheating, doll" he takes a big breath as a big smile on his face forms. "Will you Marry Me?"
You froze into place, trying to process what he just said. "Do you mean that?" your eyebrows rose, and you had a smile on your face.
"Of course, I mean it" he takes a big gulp before saying anything else, "I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to make pancakes at 2 in the morning with you. I- I just want you."
"I-"you lean in forwarding, closing in the gap between you and him. Wrapping your arms around him, you stare at his beautiful ocean blue eyes. You get on top of him, sitting on his lap.
He places his hands around your waist. He was searching all over your face for any hints of you saying yes or no. "so is this is a yes?" his voice got small and a bit shaky.
Leaning in forward to give him a brief kiss, "yes, Bucky. I do want to marry you."
Bucky sighs in relief "you have no idea how relieved I am now" he chucked a little bit.
Placing your hand on his cheek, "you have no idea how happy I am, and I can't wait to have little munchkins with you," you scrunched your nose as you smiled.
He grabs the box that he placed outside of the tub and opens it revealing a stunning heart-shaped diamond with a silver band. Bucky grabs your hand, placing the ring on the fourth finger of your left hand. "I can't wait either, Mrs. Barnes."

It’s You.
pairing - fred weasley x reader
summary - best-friends to lovers <3 fred finally recognizes his feelings for his closest friend. wc - 1.4k
based on some of these - https://oc-interrogation.tumblr.com/post/647240190963908608/friends-to-lovers-prompts-for-when-theyve-finally
a/n - this is cute, but barely has a plot :,) i’m sorry !
Inseparable.
That’s how people would describe you and Fred since the two of you became practically attached at the hip by the age of five. Your parents had gone to school with Molly and Arthur, therefore resulting in your families being quite close- intertwined almost at certain points, hell, your families even vacationed with each other. It was surprising when one was seen without the other, since everyone started to act like you guys were some sort of package deal.
Well, it did seem that way- You guys did everything together and shared a lot of things as well; having a lot of the same classes, the same friends, you were even both on the Quidditch team since Fred didn’t want to go to the try-outs alone, and you guys were even able to understand each other without speaking.
The feelings remained strictly platonic up until sixth year when Fred went home for the winter break. Molly combed through his hair as your family was coming to visit the Weasley’s for dinner and a gift-exchange. She attempted to make small-talk with him, “So Fred, has anyone caught your eye this year?” she hummed, smiling sweetly as he turned to face her. He pursed his lips. “No.” was the easy answer.
“I heard from Y/N’s mum that Y/N is interested in a boy named Cedric,” Molly started, “but you didn’t hear that from me.” His stomach churned, unknown feelings bubbling up into his chest as he felt his heart start to crumble. A small “oh” was the only thing he could muster, turning away to look down at his lap, fiddling with his hands. “He’s handsome, and good at everything. I can see why Y/N would like him.” He tried to contribute to the conversation.
Fred didn’t know why he was taking that information like this, ‘I don’t even like them!’ he practically screamed inside his head.
Molly pulled the comb away and set it down on the dresser, patting his shoulder before smoothing out some of the wrinkles on his shirt. “They’ll be here soon. Come help me set the table, yeah?”
“Yeah.” The feeling in the pit of his stomach was only growing by that point, consuming him.
maybe he did like you after all...
You were sitting in the great-hall, picking at your food as you half-listened to all the chatter around you. You looked up and caught Fred’s gaze, the two of you sharing a small smile. ‘You okay?’ he mouthed and you nodded, ‘not hungry.’ You both went back to what you were doing previously. Dinner eventually came to an end, and you managed to sneak out early. He walked out of the Great Hall with Lee and George, the same sickening feeling returning as he spotted you and Cedric chatting away in the hall; you were giggling over something Cedric said. It made him feel defeated.
You noticed your friends, starting to walk towards them. “I’ll see you in class tomorrow!” you called out to Cedric as you hurried to catch-up with Fred and the others. You began to walk alongside them, looking up at Fred and frowning slightly when you noticed that he had his brows furrowed. “You always do that with your eyebrows when you're sad,” you commented, he looked down at you and released the tension that had unknowingly gathered in his face. You continued, tilting your head slightly. “I hate to see you sad. What’s wrong?”
“Just got a shitty mark on a research paper, no big deal.” he shrugged your question off, forcing himself to smile so that you would stop asking questions. “Do you want a cookie? I managed to snag some.” Fred offered, pulling out the napkin-wrapped sweets from the pocket of his robe. You struggled to hide the smile spreading across your face as you nodded, reaching out to take one from him. “You always know my weaknesses, Weasley.”
He couldn’t help but notice how your eyes always seemed to glimmer when you smiled, and the way your cheeks flushed slightly, and your lips…
“this is why we’re best-friends.” that comment snapped him out of his daze. He nodded, “yeah, best-friends.”
He finished walking you to your dorm, cracking a few jokes along the way just to catch sight of that breath-taking smile a few times more.
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Goodnight Fred.”
He ruffled your hair slightly, pulling away to watch the door shut behind you; a small sigh escaping his lips as he turned to walk down the stairs, preparing to spend another night staring at the ceiling- wishing that the pillow next to him was you.
‘How do you tell someone you love them? Especially when it could ruin everything you’ve ever known. There’s safety in the comfort of knowing that at least you’ll always be their best-friend, at the very most. The uncertainty of reciprocated feelings twists your stomach, and could alter everything forever.’
A week had passed since then. Classes were out for the day and Fred was sitting on your bed watching you hold up a million different outfit combinations. “C’mon, I need more than an ‘okay’ or a ‘sure’” you whined, stressing yourself out. “what else are best-friends for if not to be each-others fashion advisors?”
“I never signed up for this.” He rolled onto his back, letting out a small huff, “So, you’re really going out with Diggory?”
You turned away from the mirror to raise an eyebrow, “Do you have a problem with that?”
“Nah.” Fred faked a smile, “Why would I have a problem with him? He’s a golden-boy, there's no one better for you.” ‘other than me.’ he thought, biting his tongue.
You smiled, turning back to pick up the two outfits you were torn between. “Ripped jeans and the green top, or…” you held-on to the ‘or’ as you picked up the other option. “The jean shorts and white graphic tee?” Fred pretended to be deep in thought, tapping at his chin with his index finger. “What shoes?” he asks. “My Converse, probably.” You look down at your socked feet briefly before looking back up at him. “Then go with the shorts, it’s hot, and… why don’t you wear the green top with them? The colour works with your skin.” He smiles for real this time, imagining how nice you would look in the outfit.
“Thanks Freddy, now look away, I’m changing.”
“Oh c’mon, it's not like I haven’t seen you change before.” He teases.
“Shut up, it’s different now. Cover your eyes!” you laugh and toss the white top at his face.
“Fine, fine. Eyes are covered.” Fred grumbles as he puts his hands in front of his eyes, waiting for the ‘all good’ from you to look again.
You hurry to get changed, eventually telling Fred he can look again. He hurriedly uncovered his eyes, a smile growing as he looks you up and down. “What are you looking at?” you shoot, playfully. “You look stupid.” he replies as he maneuvers himself so he’s sitting at the edge of your bed, watching you start to struggle with the clasp of a necklace. Fred shakes his head and stands up, standing behind you and taking the clasp from your hands. “Let me help.” His voice was low and gentle. You smile to yourself, face flushing slightly as you feel his cool hands against your warm skin. He finishes with the necklace and you turn to look in the mirror, Fred looking in it with you.
“You look gorgeous.” he places a hand on your shoulder, eyes softening as he looks at you. “Oh, shut up.” you muse back at him, turning to face him. “No, I seriously mean it.” Fred looks at you, looking genuinely sincere. “You look amazing, breathtaking even.” He pretends to brush a strand of hair from your face, just looking for an excuse to touch you, hand eventually resting against your cheek. “Diggory is really lucky.”
For a second, you forgot about Cedric- the outside world seemed to fall away. It was just you and Fred, like it had always been, but this time something was different. The atmosphere had changed, and he was looking at you in a way that you had never seen before. You felt your stomach flip as you locked gazes, his thumb brushing against your cheekbone. Something took over him.
“Kiss me, Y/N.” he mumbled, leaning down slightly to press his forehead against yours. And you did; It was sweet, and short, definitely not what you would expect from someone like Fred.
“I’ve waited so long to do that.” Fred chuckles, a bit breathless. His heart was going what felt like 300 mph, and his face was feeling red-hot. “No one ever compared to you. I mean, how could anyone compare to you?”
“Forget Diggory.” you said, tone breathy. “Kiss me again.” A smile spread across both of your faces.
Fred had no issue doing exactly what you had asked for.
