Harry didn't go to save Sirius because he wanted to be a hero. He went because for the first time in his life an adult listened to his worries and pain and now he was in danger. Harry only meant to help, not be a saviour.

In the fifth book he snapped at Ron and Hermione about how horrible all those experiences were and how traumatic it was for him.

It's not Harry's fault if the adults around him can't take responsibility where it matters most and Harry has to shoulder it.

Harry doesn't have a 'saving people thing' or 'a love for playing the hero', he's seen death so many times at such a young age and doesn't trust the adults around him to the point where he feels the need to risk his own life to save someone else's.

Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened

if anyone wants to assume this post is about rugrats porn or hentai or censorship or ao3 i will have you know this post was because i found it odd (as someone with a passing interest in cults and high control groups) that so many people were insistent that the former scientology auditor did not have any internalized views about what consent meant that showed through in his writing. it's possible that you could glean he has such views through the way he talks and writes about certain things. what a strange and novel way to view communication that has no applications in real life.
