The Distraction (Danny Johnson / Jed Olsen / Ghostface x Reader)
Y/N encounters Ghostface, a snarky and creepy silent killer. However, he isn’t as silent as he is made out to be when you hit him with your toolbox in defense. To stall time for your survival and the progression of other generators, you decide to humor him and distract him for a long amount of time for the others.
Possible Warning: Sexual tension, slight blood, slight violence, and Danny having perverted thoughts (up to your interpretation on what he’s thinking)
You slowly vaulted over a wooden structure within Autohaven Wreckers. The green atmosphere felt very chilling and eerie, you didn’t like doing your trials in this realm. Your eyes averted to an untouched generator. Thank the Entity you didn’t hear a chainsaw revving or the menacing lullaby sung by the Huntress. Y/N kneeled down and began to work on the generator, putting their toolbox to the side. Who knew you’d become a mechanic of some sort within the Fog.
“Shit.” You mumble as you cut your arm slightly on something within it. For a moment you had considered using your toolbox but it was better to just save it for another time.
Y/N sighed and pulled down a lever before reattaching some wires. The generators always confused you. Not in a way where you didn’t know how to fix them but how the hell did they power up the exit gates? Oh well, it didn’t matter at that point. You were forced to do this by a literal god.
You suddenly gasped when you felt a firm grip pry you away from your generator. It must’ve been the killer. Y/N aggressively fought back and wiggled with desperate grunts and yells. You somehow managed to escape his grip, how the hell didn’t you hear him? You shoved him away but he grabbed your wrist tightly.
“Let go!” You yelled, hitting him as hard as you could since he seemed to have dropped his knife. You recognized the killer as Ghostface. He didn’t seem to think that you’d be able to get away the first time. Y/N’s eyes widened in shock and curiosity when she heard him darkly chuckle in amusement
“You’re like that bastard King.” He said to you as you both struggled. David was always verbal when ”fighting” the killers. He grunted as you kicked at his thigh, desperately trying to rip your arm away from him.
“Since when did you start talking?” You asked him, humoring him in pure panic. Ghostface was a bit thrown off that you even responded instead of screaming at the top of your lungs. In fact, he doesn’t recall anybody saying anything back to him other than David King or Yui Kimura saying something snarky after a successful vault.
“You’d be surprised--agh!” He grunted as you smashed your toolbox into his face as hard as you could. This definitely threw him off since it hurt just as much as the pallet stuns did. Was that even allowed? He adjusted his mask to keep it from falling off. His chin sure as hell hurt.
“Sorry.” Y/N said to him almost immediately, stopping for a moment. You weren’t sure why you felt sorry for the bastard in that moment. You once did something similar with the Trapper when he accidentally stepped in his own trap, there was a moment of silence between the two of you as you both stared.
“What do you mean sorry?!” He asked you angrily but he didn’t lunge or hit you. He seemed just as confused and caught up in the moment as you. You threw your arms up in defense, it was a psychological thing.
“It was instinctual! What was I supposed to do, let you stab and hook me?” You said to him as he stood up. Ghostface was much taller up close, it was strange.
“Well, yeah. You’re only supposed to fucken wiggle or try get off of the hook. It said those were the rules.” He argued as you turned your head to the side in disbelief at his behavior.
“Since when did you start abiding by the rules? Aren’t you supposed to be a serial killer or something?” Y/N questioned him.
“Uhhh, since that thing started torturing the other people who got trapped here. You think I wanna look like that fuckface with the chainsaw?” He said aggressively but you didn’t seem to back down at all. He was referring to the Hillbilly.
“He already looked like that, dumbass.” You say to him as he paused.
“Oh.” Ghostface responded before shaking his head to knock some sense into himself and began to try grab your wrist again. he tugged you closer when he did rather aggressively.
“What the fuck am I doing arguing with my prey.” He muttered as you pulled away again, taking a few steps back.
Ghostface, from your observation, was easily confused when talking to people. You figured it was normal since, well, when the hell did a psycho like him have time to talk to people? You recalled a conversation with Ace when you were upset due to one of your first trials. He had been previously married and referred to himself as a ladykiller, humoring the idea of trying to flirt with the Huntress. He was a wise dude despite being on the run from guys he owed money to, overall he made a good replacement father figure for a moment.
Clearly it was a bad idea but maybe instead of getting hooked or hurt, you could do what Ace jokingly suggested. It’d also be a funny story to tell some of your friends when this trial was over but it was scary thinking this could make him even more mad or aggressive. Oh, well, anything not to go through the pain again.
“Has anybody ever told you you’re handsome?” You asked, cringing at yourself for such a poor choice of wording.
“You don’t even know how I look.” He said, somewhat annoyed but loosened his grip slightly as you put your hand softly over his.
“That doesn’t matter. I feel like we could get to know eachother. I’m Y/N, by the way.” You say to him as he stopped completely, baffled even.
“What?” He asked in confusion.
“Think about it, if we have a nice little chat then I’m sure the Entity wouldn’t mind. And don’t get me wrong, I’ve been curious about your artwork. Or I guess you can say photography. I’m sure you have a collection.” You said.
“Right, like a puny thing like you would even understand what I do.” Ghostface said to you, crossing his arms. Admittedly, he seemed to slowly forget his objective when he began to even talk to you. Even he didn’t know why he kept responding to you.
“A puny thing like me? Oh, please. I’ve seen my fair share of blood and gore on the internet. I bet your photos wouldn’t even make me budge.” Y/N said.
“Really, now? I have a collection of photos of you and your little friends.” He said, getting rather defensive. Such a fragile ego, you thought.
“Oh, so you take photos of me?” You asked, pulling him closer. He seemed to freeze up when he was inches away from your face. Despite wearing the mask, he felt vulnerable. Why? You were just a survivor meant to be slaughtered.
“I don’t mean it like that.” He said firmly, although, it wouldn’t be a bad idea since you were rather attractive to him. Both physically and personality-wise. The thought amused him but he shook his head slightly.
“Shame. I could’ve offered you a special photoshoot.” Y/N said, enjoying getting into character at this point since all the generators should be done soon.
“A what?” He said, finally flustered. You couldn’t blame him. A survivor was practically seducing him. A part of him wanted to give in since he already wasted so much time just talking to you. There were, of course, other needs he needed satisfied. The idea of him showing no mercy on you got him hot and bothered.
“A special photoshoot. Just me and you, uhh... Ghostface?” You said to him, resting your eyes.
“It’s Danny--I mean, Jed.” He said to you. You raised your eyebrows in surprise that he even told you his name, you could even swear your cheeks warmed up for a second. No. no, you thought. Do not get distracted.
“Jed, huh? Sounds easy to yell.” You responded with a smirk.
At this point, Ghostface decided he definitely wanted you. He quickly gave into his desire since he had his own desires and fantasies he wanted to put at ease. Plus, a survivor like you giving yourself to him? It sounded too good to be true in his own dirty, messed up standards. He silently smirked behind his mask. Hooking and killing wasn’t the only way he wanted to hurt you now. He saw this as a way to properly get back at you for hitting him with your toolbox.
What did you get yourself into, he thought menacingly. Unbeknownst to him, you were already one step ahead of him. Ghostface wrapped his hands around your waist and brought you closer to him. Y/N froze for a moment but brushed her knee against his upper thigh in a rather suggestive manner. She didn’t think it would work yet it did.
“So, when do you want to do this, baby?” He asked you in a lower tone. You felt your cheeks flush and your heartrate beginning to increase but you had to stand your ground for a few more seconds. You looked away for a moment with an unimpressed stare.
“You’re such a gentlemen.” You said sarcastically, pushing away from him by his chest. The feeling of his leather and fabric was firm, you kinda liked that.
“Now what?” He asked in frustration. Your eyes averted towards the tools spread out on the ground from the box. Y/N came up with an idea.
“Pick my stuff up for me and maybe we can do something... quick.” You said, tugging your shirt downwards suggestively.
“Okay, okay. Fine.” Ghostface responded to you sarcastically.
He turned to look at the tools on the ground. Kneeling down, he set the toolbox upright and began to put the tools back. Ghostface found it interesting how such small tools can play a big part in fixing the generators faster. He’d be pissed off if some random fucker like the Clown came and busted it up after long, hard work. You watched him actually do as you asked. It was somewhat heartwarming. No, actually, it wasn’t. You didn’t wanna catch feelings for him.
Y/N looked around, inhaling quietly. He seemed focused on picking up the smaller tools. You weren’t sure when to make your move. Suddenly, a horn blasted. A feeling of relief washed through your body. His head popped up as you quickly sprinted away from him. Ghostface whipped his head around.
“Shit, fuck...!” He muttered. It was at this point where he realized what you did. He felt angry at himself for giving into his urges instead of just hooking you and killing you and your little friends. Ghostface smashed your toolbox against the generator in anger.
Standing up, he put his knife away. Despite being furious, he still found you attractive and confident for even trying that with him. It fueled a different urge within him. Oh, he would definitely make you pay. Not from the hooks, of course. He smirked at the idea of it and began to walk off to the other door once he began to calm down.
Y/N, he thought.

Sex Toys Don’t Make Good Cat Toys || Rio, Cordy, & Layla
timing: Late August. parties: @3starsquinn, Cordy [ @kadavernagh], & @laylacooke summary: Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion of...A Little Catty.
Layla wasn’t entirely sure how she had managed to pull off communicating with Leah, but she had. It was a miracle, and now she was trotting down the sidewalk headed towards Pandora’s Boxxx, where this had all started. It hadn’t taken her long to process that the witch from the shop had done it. It had been the last place she had gone, before waking up with orange fur covering her miniature body. However, her only regret, now, was putting poor Orion through yet another one of her mishaps; this seemingly the worse, since there wasn’t really much context behind her wanting to meet him there. Not only that, would he know it was her when she looked up and greeted him with a meow. She would soon find out.
Coming to a stop, just outside the entrance, she found a spot near the outside wall of the building waiting for him to show. And if all went well, she would walk in a cat and out a human (well almost human) again.
Orion was uncomfortable. Of course, he’d do anything for Layla. Even if that involved a sex shop, which Rio was definitely not confident enough to force himself inside of. Rio and Winston didn’t even sleep in the same bed, how was Rio supposed to casually stroll into a sex shop? But Layla had needed him, and he supposed he could brave the embarrassment if it meant doing her a favor. On his way towards the doors of the shop, a cat popped onto a bench and cutting his path off from the store. “Hey there buddy!” Rio swooped down, running a palm against the cat and scratching behind its ears, “I can’t hang out too long. I gotta go embarrass myself inside of this shop for a friend of mine.” He continued petting the cut for another few seconds before standing back up and side stepping the cat to walk into the store.
Layla sat patiently waiting for Rio, when she finally spotted him. Leaping onto a nearby bench, she meowed as she felt his hand come down on her ears. Ear scratches are the best! Agh. Focus, Layla. Rio’s words had made an odd noise come out of her small cat body that resembled a laugh, before she hopped down and slipped inside the door once it was open. I promise I’ll make this up to you, Orion. I don’t know how, but I will. She wasn’t entirely sure how this was going to work, but as she entered the store, she set her eyes upward, looking around for Cordy. At least with Rio there, she felt safe. Otherwise, a cat facing a witch alone was going to be a major task.
Welp, there was the bell. Customers. Eugh. Cordy uncrossed her legs and gave her hat a tilt up to properly see who came in. Why was there a kid in here? “We should really just hang up a sign that says Mime E. Stripes is next door. Wrong building, kid.” She went to tilt her hat back down, but she saw a cat tail waltzing across the store. Presumably attached to a cat. Cordy sighed and peeked over the display, looking down at the orange tabby that’d slipped inside. “Look what the you dragged in. That you, Cherry? Think you could use a shave before you try and get back into your jorts.” Cordy snickered and turned her attention back over to the kid. “Lemme guess, belly button stickers? Or are you here for a nice banshee ball gag? There’s been a lotta screaming around town lately.”
There was a lot that Orion was not comfortable with as soon as he stepped inside the store. His best bet at finding Layla was probably just to ask someone. She was memorable, right? He was vaguely aware that the cat had followed him inside and hoped that the cat was some sort of store cat or… y’know he got the joke about a cat being in a sex shop. Clever. He used the palms of his hands to block either side of his vision and made a beeline for the counter. On his way, he bumped against a display of phallic objects and the entire thing shook, Rio reaching out to try to stabilize it before realizing what he had been reaching out for and jerking his hand back. “This is torture.” Rio mumbled to himself, realizing that the woman had already started talking to him and… the cat(?) before he even made it to the counter. “Uh- no. Neither of those things please. I don’t scream.” Rio paused for a minute as he reflected on his choice of words before deciding to pretend that he never said them and continuing on, “I’m looking for a friend of mine. Short. Red hair. A quirky sassiness that makes her lovable? Please tell me that rings some bells.”
Cherry. Cordy knew exactly who Layla was, and as soon as she heard the woman’s voice, she trotted over to the counter and leaped up onto it. Pacing back and forth, she hissed at the witch who had done this to her. Scratching her eyes out wasn’t exactly an option, but making her displeasure known was well within the cat’s rights. You did this, and you’re gonna fix it, Witch! However, Rio’s words caught her attention. Turning to face him, she watched as he nearly knocked over an entire display of penis shaped objects, and the embarrassment present in his voice and actions made Layla realize just how much she was going to owe him, but first she had to somehow let him know it was her. It’s me, Rio! I’m right here! Meowing and pawing at him, she had hoped he would figure it out.
Oh, this was gonna be fun. Cordy’s mouth stretched into a wide smile as she watched the teenager tumble around the store like a child lost in a shopping mall. “Torture? Nah. Those are dildos. If you want torture, it’s in the last aisle to the left,” Cordy said, pointing with her thumb. He didn’t strike her as the type, but maybe Annabel would’ve seen something in him that she was missing. “Wasn’t saying you were the screamer, but I think anyone could scream with the right persuasion.” She winked at him, just to watch him squirm. His description rang some bells alright, and Cordy had to wonder if the kid had any idea that the cat that’d hopped up on the counter was probably the friend he was looking for. “No redheads in here,” Cordy said, straightening up the display case of penis candy that the cat swatted at. She shot Layla a glare and turned her attention back to the blue-haired teenager. She needed to get him outta here before he caught on. “Anyways, haven’t seen your friend. And don’t mind the store cat. She acts out whenever a virgin walks in.”
This was Orion’s nightmare. Worse than his nightmares actually. At least in those he was just being chased by monsters and killed or something. This was way worse than that. “Oh. Ha ha. Yes. Right.” He didn’t even know which part of the worker’s sentence he was replying to. The cat was meowing and pawing at him again, and Rio scratched at the cat again absentmindedly. “Hey kitty,” he spoke aloud but was more focused on the worker and hopefully on finding Layla. Unfortunately, there was no such luck. Either she was running late, or Rio had gotten the wrong address. He was pretty sure he preferred the latter, actually. Maybe he should try calling her again and- Did that employee just call him a virgin?? Rio immediately broke into a stream of nervous giggling at the accusation. It was true, but was it really that obvious? “Your cat can’t actually do that can she?” Rio looked down at the cat again. That had to have been a joke, right? Unless it was some sort of magic not cat. No, it was a joke. “That was a joke. I realize that now. Um.. okay. Well I guess I will just sorta… wait for her to get here then.” The cat wouldn’t seem to leave him alone, “Your cat seems to really like me.”
Are you shitting me? Rio! It’s me!!! It’s Layla!!! She meowed louder as she listened to the two humans in the room talk. How was she going to make him know it was her? Looking back at Cordy, she knew she would have to somehow get the woman to show her cards. She could easily convince Rio that Layla was just the store cat, and in knowing that (and seeing it working), she opted to do something really stupid. Well, hopefully this will make some kind of difference. Otherwise, dying as a cat might actually happen...Giving a nudge into Rio’s hand one last time, Layla turned around, and without any warning, she took off running towards Cordy. With her claws out, she launched herself off the counter and onto the woman’s face and shoulders. Hissing and yowling, she sank her teeth down into Cordy’s head. Would a store cat do this you evil witch!?
“She can, actually!” Cordy chirped, the lie coming easy and guilt-free, “No joke, don’t know how she does it. Maybe it’s like those cats who predict when people are gonna die, except so much better.” All the blood had drained from the kid’s face, and Cordy chuckled. It didn’t matter that Layla was capturing his attention; the cat had no way to communicate. So why not have some more fun? Cordy tilted her head and crossed her arms. “You know, if you don’t believe me, you could always test it out. Go find yourself a pitcher and come back later. Besides, not like your friend is here right n--” The sharp ball of furry fury pounced on her head before she could stop it. Cordy shrieked as she felt sharp claws digging and teeth digging into her scalp. Magic, dumbass, use magic. But that was the drawback of tapping into concentration and meditation for her abilities -- there was no concentration to be found right now. Gaia, her ma would’ve just blasted the damn feline off her skull. “Get off! Get off right now! Don’t make me turn you into a toad next!”
Orion remained suspicious, but this was White Crest. For all Rio knew this could be some weird sort of fae or like a magical, cursed cat. It didn’t seem entirely outside the realm of impossibility. Rio was so perplexed by the cat that he didn’t even have time to be offended by this worker clearly making fun of his virginity. He knew it was obvious that he was but still. Rude. “Intriguing.” Rio murmured; eyes trained on the cat still. It was better than looking at anything else in the store right now. “I uh- a what?” Rio questioned, thinking through the limited knowledge he had of sports, “Uhh… I don’t play baseball.” He never got any clarification however, since the cat leapt at the woman’s face and attacked her. “Oh my god!” Rio yelled, immediately going into panicking mode. He started to move towards the woman but stopped when he heard her. Turn you into a toad next? Rio froze, staring at the scene unfolding between him as the puzzle pieces slowly fit into place in his brain, “Holy- Layla??” Rio called out to the cat. What the heck was going on? Why was Layla a cat? “Did you turn my friend into a cat?”
The small, orange cat continued her plot of revenge hoping it would pay off, and when she was able to train her eyes on Rio and see the gears turning, she knew it was working. It had also felt good to sink her teeth into the head of someone so spiteful and without letting go, she began gnawing on the tight skin and hair, releasing a low growl in the process. But when Rio spoke her name, she released Cordy’s noggin and looked up. Yes!!! It’s me! It’s me, Rio!!! She did turn me into a cat! Help me!!! All she had wanted to be was a human again. Though seeing the world through cat eyes made her look at life differently, it was becoming way too easy to forget details about her human and werewolf life, and that could only mean one thing. That if Layla wasn’t freed from the curse soon, she would be a cat forever.
“The cat’s name is Fleabag!” Cordy yelled, as Layla teeth sank into her skin again. Ow, maybe she really should’ve turned this girl into a toad instead. Both virgin and feline were persistent though, and she knew it was too late to truly convince him the cat wasn’t Layla. One of the cat’s claws pierced her cheek, and she’d had enough. She pushed through the pain and closed her eyes, picturing a barrier surrounding herself, it didn’t have to be strong. Maybe Annabel had been right about that sanctorum spell being a good idea. She clapped her hands, a weak, invisible barrier wrapping around her, and Layla the cat went flying onto the counter, repelled by it. “Try that again, Layla, and I’ll have animal control come and euthanize you,” Cordy said through gritted teeth. Okay, so maybe that’d be harsh even for her, but-- she pushed her hat back onto her bleeding scalp and head of messy hair. “Not like I pulled your fur.” She crossed her arms and glared at the cat and the boy. “It’s permanent, anyways, so guess you’re outta luck. Find something else to do today.” It was a lie, and Cordy couldn’t help but look past the leprechaun-print thongs, over to the double-headed dildo imbued with magic.
Apparently, this woman was a liar. Which was rude given how awkward she was making things for Orion, but downright cruel when considering that she knew that Layla was a cat and deliberately hadn’t told him about it. Had she been the one to turn her into the cat? How was turning a human, er- werewolf into a cat even possible? It only made magic even more terrifying. But the woman’s magical abilities became apparent when something sent Layla flying off her and back onto the counter. Rio jerked backwards at first, afraid from the sudden change but then took a step forward, “Hey!” Rio called out in an attempt to sound more threatening than they all knew he was, “Be careful. Don’t hurt her!” The woman claimed it was permanent, but Rio knew better than to trust the woman now. She glanced away from Rio and Rio followed her gaze towards to try to get an idea where she had been looking. Rio began walking over towards it, trying to ignore the fact that he was staring at an alarmingly large display of dildos. But he had no idea what he was looking for. “How do I fix this?” Rio spun back around to look at her, a scowl deepening on his face. He didn’t like the idea of trying to threaten her. He knew he wouldn’t be any good at it. The only idea he had in his mind was appealing to her less than motivated side. His only chance of getting any information from her was to try to appeal to something she may not want to deal with. Rio picked the spot closest to where he thought she had been looking and picked up one of the packages. He didn’t even want to look at the thing that he was holding, but in one move he ripped the packaging in half and tore the dildo into two. Nothing happened, so he figured he hadn’t gotten lucky on the first try. “Just tell me please. I don’t want to do this anymore than you want to clean up the mess.” Rio discarded the trash he had been holding and grabbed onto the display carrying an assortment of… he had no idea what those ball shaped things were. But he twisted his wrist, snapping the wood frame of the shelving and sending the objects down and scattering the floor. “I just want my friend back.”
Getting flung back onto the counter had knocked the wind out of Layla, but before long, she was back up on her feet. Shaking off the trip through the air, she snarled at Cordy, until she noticed what the woman’s eyes were staring at. Turning her head, she spotted it. The huge double headed cockasaurces that had smacked her in the face and started all this mess. And she also watched as Rio made his way over to the display and shelving and began breaking dildos. Awwww, Rio. You’re breaking dildos for me. That’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done. Realizing they would be there all night, considering Pandora’s Boxxx had an alarmingly large number of dildos available, Layla hopped off the counter and trotted over to the products. Looking up at Rio, she meowed, before standing up on her hind legs and swatting at the dreaded cursed item. This one! This is the one that made me like...this!
The employee was not being helpful in the slightest. Orion crossed his arms in a pout and considered his next options. He had reached the max capacity of being threatening to no avail, she still refused to give him any hints as to where to find whatever he was looking for. Until Layla jumped down from the counter and found Rio, swerving between the pile collecting on the floor and climbing up until she was swatting at an uncomfortably large phallic symbol that Rio had not yet gotten to. After all this, and Layla knew which one it had been the entire time? “Uh, oh? You knew? Yikes. Sorry abou-” Rio scratched at his neck nervously and began apologizing towards the woman behind the counter before stopping himself, “Wait! Never mind. You’re mean. So I’m not sorry.” As far as Rio was concerned, that was a win in his book. “So, I just break it?” Rio questioned, grabbing at it nervously and feeling strange holding it in his hands. He waited for confirmation before he squeezed his eyes shut and ripped the thing in half.
Layla watched Rio. Why are you still apologizing to the witch!? She was relieved when he had come to his senses though. But what brought her more relief, and in the most awkward of ways? Orion holding the huge hulking dildo that had gotten her in this situation in the first place. Break it! Break the dick!!! Layla watched longingly as Rio snapped the double headed cockasaurces in half. The pop had been one of the best sounds she had heard in a long time. However, once it was separated, nothing seemed to be happening; at least not quickly. And then it hit. A sharp pain had caused a shrill, loud yowl to escape her small snout. Panting fiercely, Layla stumbled forward. Everything hurt. Her small body was burning up, and she felt much like how she did after changing on a full moon. With little legs carrying her away from Rio and towards the back of the store, the teenager lost her balance before everything seemed to go black. And when her eyes opened again everything felt...different.
Her eyes betrayed her. She knew the kid saw exactly what she was looking at. Too much movement would break her barrier spell, and Cordy didn’t want to risk getting mauled by a pissed off cat again. Although... even that was probably better than getting mauled by a werewolf. Would that make her one, too? Shit, that werewolf-cat bit her scalp. Did that mean she was about to become a werewolf? Or a cat? Or-- the thought of losing her magic made her freeze, and she stood there in terror as the boy followed the cat over to the dildo. What if it wasn’t too late? She’d taken too long to make up her mind -- the dildo was in his hands and-- “Stop!” Cordy shouted, leaping over the counter. She could feel the barrier shattering around her skin, but that didn’t matter right now. She was not about to let them break her merchandise and, in the event, that she wasn’t already fucked over and going to grow fur on the next full moon, she needed Layla to stay a cat. “That’s a custom item! You can’t break it! The nymphs will--” The popping noise filled the store, and Cordy could feel the magic spilling out of the dildo in a stream, and as the cat screeched and scampered away, she knew the spell was breaking. “I’m boned, aren’t I?” If these children weren’t about to murder her, then Annabel certainly would.
As soon as the dildo was broken, Orion dropped the pieces on the floor and hopped away from it. He had touched more phallic objects in the last twenty minutes than he had in his entire life. More than he ever imagined that he would touch in his whole lifetime. Layla ran off to the back of the store, and Rio thought about following her but eventually decided against it. He had no idea how she would return to human form. The whole thing seemed too intimate for Rio to be a part of. As if this entire situation weren’t far more intimate than Rio had ever wanted. “Is that a sex thing too?” Rio questioned before sighing. It was totally a sex thing. “I don’t understand what you could possibly get from turning my friend into a cat. Was it just some sick joke to you?” Rio scoffed, the mere thought of someone finding something like that funny made Rio nauseous. “You’re messed up.” He crossed his arms, unsure where they went from here. He couldn’t exactly call the cops on her. What would he even tell them? “Layla?” Rio yelled back, sure that if she was a werewolf again that she could hear him. If she could talk, he’d hear her too. If his hearing wanted to cooperate. “You okay back there?” He didn’t want to take his eyes off of the salesperson. He didn’t trust her.
Layla sat up rubbing her head...with her hand? Looking down she noticed she had two hands. Two legs! Two feet and no orange fur!!! Climbing to her feet in excitement, she began to move forward, but stumbled slightly, “Whoa! Wait...I said whoa! I spoke! I can speak!!!” Hearing Rio call for her, the teenager ran back out into the store frantically, “Rio! Rio, I’m me again! I’m not a cat!!!!” Running towards him with tears of joy, she wrapped her arms around him jumping up and down, until she realized one thing, she was stark naked, “Oh God. I don’t...I’m…” Pulling away from him, Layla’s cheeks revealed to be as red as her hair. Scanning the area, she grabbed the closest thing she could to cover herself up, which happened to be a pair of assless jorts while her arms lay across her chest, “Oh c’mon!”

Honor Bound 2 - 20
This is a series. Start here, continued from here.
This is a sequel series to Honor Bound.
AO3
Cw: discussion of PTSD, past noncon mention, mention of The Thing (and all the gore that goes with it)
It was light before they stopped again.
“Anyone need a break?” Tori said quietly. Her hands were tight on the wheel.
“Yeah,” Isaac mumbled.
“Yes please,” Sam said.
She guided the car off the road and Ellis followed suit behind them. Isaac leaned against the door even after the car had come to a stop.
Sam put a hand on his shoulder. “…Isaac?” Their voice was almost a whisper. “Are you okay? We’re stopped…”
He trembled and let his eyes squeeze shut. “Yeah.”
Sam bit their lip. “Do you want to get out?”
After a moment Isaac fumbled his hand along the door handle. The door opened and he nearly toppled into the dirt by the side of the road.
Sam was at his side in seconds. He put out a hand and held them at arm’s length as he stood. “I’m okay,” he whispered. “I need to be okay.”
“It’s okay if you’re not.” Sam’s forehead was furrowed with worry. “Isaac…”
“I’m sorry,” he whimpered. “I know you said you needed space, you don’t need to be taking care of me…”
“I…” Sam took a step back. “I still do need space. But… Isaac, with the hunters… I know it scared you.”
“I can’t stop feeling scared.” Isaac was fighting back tears. “I’m so scared, and sometimes it’s just… it’s too much, and I…” He glanced at Edrissa where she stood beside the other car. She was watching him with wary eyes. He put his face in his hands. “What’s wrong with me?”
“You, um…” Sam glanced at Tori. She was standing protectively between Vera and everyone else. Vera still looked dazed. “Tori says you have PTSD.” They tentatively reached out with one hand. Their fingers brushed gently against Isaac’s arm. “And you… you haven’t forgiven yourself. I thought you were getting better, those months with Tori, but I don’t think you ever let yourself… rest.” Sam took a step closer and brought both their hands to Isaac’s arms. “I don’t think you ever trusted anyone enough to really let yourself heal.”
Isaac looked at Sam. They had tears in their eyes. He ran his tongue over his lip. “Sam, it’s… not because –”
“I know. But you carry so much, Isaac. So much more than just…” They threw a glance over their shoulder at Gavin. He was standing a little away from the others. Unbound. They shivered.
“I almost killed him, Sam. And Edrissa,” Isaac whispered.
“No you didn’t,” Sam said gently. “You wouldn’t have done it.”
Isaac fell silent. They don’t know. They don’t know how close I came to pulling that trigger on both of them.
Sam’s hand wrapped gently around his wrist. “You need to let yourself heal if you want to be able to help more people.” Then they dropped their voice so Isaac could barely hear them. “You’re not like him.”
Isaac shuddered against the rush of guilt and grief that rose up at those words. He shook his head like a dog trying to clear water out of his ears. Maybe grief is the first step.
He squeezed Sam’s wrist. His eyes went wide when they flinched. He gently took their hands and turned them. There were raw spots on their wrists where they had been struggling against the zip ties during the beating. Isaac’s hands started to shake. His eyes moved over them, really seeing them for the first time since he’d killed the bounty hunter. Their mouth was tight with tension. They winced every time they took a breath. They were slightly hunched over as if it hurt their stomach to straighten up all the way.
“Oh, shit. Sam…”
“I’m okay,” they said, with just a hint of breathlessness.
As if called by Isaac’s thoughts, Finn appeared at their side. They kept their eyes down as they moved their hands over Sam. “I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to check you before we –”
“It’s okay.” They winced as Finn pulled their shirt up. Isaac’s jaw clenched at the bruises that stretched across their torso, angry and purple. Finn’s hands checked Sam quickly and firmly. They pointedly looked away from Isaac.
“Finn.” Isaac bit their lip.
Their hands moved down Sam’s left leg, then the right. “Yeah?”
“Finn, I’m…” His jaw worked against the words that were pushing against his lips. I’m sorry I lost control. I’m sorry I’m so damned volatile. I’m sorry I blamed you. I’m sorry I’m broken. I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry… He cleared his throat. “I’m sorry.”
Finn froze where they were kneeling in front of Sam. Isaac saw the glimmer of a tear on their tear before they swiped it away and stood up. “’s fine.” They turned to head back to their car.
“No, it’s not.” Isaac followed them and they stopped short. “Look, I…” His throat worked. “I lost control. I’m sorry. I know it’s not your fault what… what happened. I wasn’t trying to blame you, I was just… scared. I needed to know how it happened but I didn’t have to ask like… like that.”
Finn stared at the ground beside Isaac, their lip pushed very slightly out into a pout. “Um. Yeah.”
Isaac opened his hands. Relaxed his shoulders. Took a breath. “I know it wasn’t your fault. I’m sorry for yelling, and for… um… what I said. I know that something’s, um.” He cleared his throat again. “Something’s wrong. I know. And I… I’m going to get better.” Finn looked up at him for the first time. “I’m sorry for taking it out on you. It was wrong, it was my fault, and I am going to do my best to never do it again.”
Finn’s eyes were shining with tears. “Do you think, maybe…” they ventured, “you could… trust us? Depend on us?” They licked their lips. “We’re here for you, Isaac. Just like you are for us.” They stepped forward and pulled Isaac into a hug. He wound his arms around them and soaked up their warmth. “I hope you know that.”
“I…” Isaac’s throat worked. “I’m learning that.”
“Okay,” Finn mumbled against his chest. “Well, I say this as your medic and your friend, and I say it with love… Will you please stop being such a dumbass?”
Isaac chuckled wetly against their hair. “Um. Yeah. Let me work on that.”
“We love you, Isaac. Every single one of us.”
“I know.” He felt a ripple of something moving through his chest as he said it.
“Well, we should…” Finn cleared their throat and stepped back, wiping their face.
“Yeah.” Isaac swiped his hand at the wetness on his face, too. “Thanks, Finn.”
Finn glanced over his shoulder. “Well, except for Gavin, maybe. I don’t think he loves you much. But fuck ‘im.”
Another laugh. This one easier. “Yeah. Fuck ‘im.” He glanced back at his car. Sam, Tori, and Vera had already gotten back in. “How bad is Sam hurt?”
“Well, you saw.” Finn’s jaw worked as they looked at Sam through the rear windshield. “The bruising is pretty bad. I don’t think they broke anything, miraculously. Maybe cracked a few ribs. But…” They rubbed the back of their neck. “I hate to say it quite like this, but if there was life-threatening internal damage they’d be fucking sick right now. And they aren’t. So I think we’re in the clear.”
Isaac glanced at the other car. “How about Gray?”
Finn shook their head slightly. “They popped their stitches and were bleeding a bit, but I got that stopped. Same situation with them. If there was internal bleeding there would be signs. And I’m not seeing any.”
“That’s… that’s good.”
Finn moved their hand through their hair. For a moment they looked so much older than twenty-nine. They’ve been through so much. They deserve to rest. They feel responsible for others, probably just as much as I do. Their eyes went wide for just a moment when Isaac put a hand on their shoulder. “Once we get north, we’ll all have time to rest.”
“Yeah,” Finn snorted. “That’s what we thought with Tori’s place.”
Isaac bit his lip. “We should probably get moving. We’ve still got a long way to go.”
“Yeah.” Finn turned and headed for the other car. Isaac walked a little unsteadily to the other car. Tori was staring at him as he closed the door.
“Everything okay?” Her eyebrows were pulled together.
Isaac nodded. “Yup. Just wanted to check with them. Sounds like Gray is –”
“I checked with them. Yeah. Sounds like they’re okay, too.”
Isaac’s mind still felt a little fuzzy. He hadn’t felt right since they’d all been jumped in the woods. He couldn’t quite think fast enough to keep track of everyone. “Right.” He turned his eyes to Vera now, sitting still dazed in the front seat. “You, um.” He chewed his lip. “You alright?”
The car started moving. Vera looked back at him, her face looking haggard with pain. “Um.”
Isaac drew his hand through his hair. “Uh. Stupid question. I’m sorry, I’m not –”
“I remembered more.”
Isaac froze. He looked over at Tori for a moment. Her eyes were filling with tears. “Oh.”
“I remember what he looks like now. I remember him. Um. Hurting me. But I…” Tears were rolling slowly down her face. She didn’t seem to notice. “I remember him holding me. I remember he, um…” She swallowed hard. “After a party one time. He… he cleaned me up. Bandaged my wounds. He um, gave me water and… and held me… He gave me a blanket. Just held me.”
Isaac’s blood ran cold. “A… a party?”
Vera’s eyes were still unfocused. “When Joseph would invite his friends over to rape me.” She said it with such clinical detachment that it made Isaac’s stomach heave. Tori gasped out a silent sob. “But I remember him. Ryan.”
“Do you remember what happened to him?” Isaac’s voice was shaking.
“Um.” Her face screwed up in a look of tortured concentration. “I… I… can’t… It’s like it’s still behind a wall. I remember a plan. A plan to get me out. But I… can’t… He was working with some people to get me out but I just… can’t…” She whimpered.
Isaac’s hand shot out towards her before he stopped himself. His hand squeezed into a fist and he sat back against the seat.
“Vera, um…” Sam said in a tentative voice. “It’s okay…”
“I just… can’t… remember,” she whispered. “I don’t know if the people who pulled me out were there because of Ryan. I don’t remember seeing him with them, but… Maybe he was…” She pressed her hands against her forehead. “Agh…”
“It’s okay, babe,” Tori murmured, and stretched a hand out to rest on Vera’s shoulder.
“Do you think it was…” Isaac’s lips twisted. “…being… um… tied up like that? Or when the bounty hunter said… um…”
“It was being tied up like that,” she whispered. “For one of the parties that’s exactly how I was tied up. The first one.”
Isaac shuddered. “There was more than one?”
Vera met his gaze with haunted eyes. “I remember at least three.”
He heard Sam whimper beside him and ached to reach for them. They said they need space. They’ll come to me for comfort when they’re ready.
“I’m so sorry, Vera,” he whispered. “God, I’m… I’m so sorry…”
“It’s okay,” she mumbled. Isaac’s head snaped up to look at her, expecting to see a look of submission and fear. Instead he saw blazing eyes and bared teeth. “It’s okay. Because no matter what I remember, no matter what… I killed him. I slaughtered him. Ripped him open. I tasted his fucking blood.” Her lips pulled back in a grin.
An image flashed across Isaac’s mind, of her standing in the waiting room stained with that monster’s blood, quivering with fear and relief and exhaustion. Of her folding into his arms after she’d torn him open with her teeth.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “You did.”
“No matter what.” Vera’s hand rested on Tori’s thigh, her eyes still a little unfocused. “I did that.”

Day 8 ✿ Sep 22 ‘20
I just talked to Cat all morning about like books and philosophy. I like books and philosophy ALOT. I like it more than fish and water. If I could I’d have my own private library. Agh! I fucking love books. I also really like fish and aguaculture. Jobs I’d commit to when I’m older is editor, fish breeder or teacher. However downsides to that job is: editing is a job that might not be alive in a few years, fish breeding is hard and expensive if you don’t have a market and teaching may also be an obsolete occupation in less than a decade. Personally these jobs would be good if it was like the >2000’s. Now every job will either kill you or die before it can. Maybe like a teacher in a private school or a freelance editor. However those jobs are hell if you choose to work for the wrong people. So fuck it I’ll be a fish breeder. Even though School marm for a private school sounds amazing. And editors can read all day. I have Mr today. I’m excited cause he’s always fun to have(09:10)
‘Sorry for only letting you know now but I will be staying in your class. I thought about it and realized two things. 1. I get low test scores regarding state tests, so that’s probably why I’m not in an honors class. Besides this if my state test scores are that not good then maybe I should be in a regular English class. 2. If I worked my butt off and did the quality of my work like that consistently It’s really crazy to me that test scores make me end up in a class totally different than what my mind needs or whatever; so I’ve met the conclusion that If it’s not the test that got me here or just like human error is that Fate and the universe(or god if you believe in them or whatever you think makes the world go spin) needs me to be in this class. Whether it’s to meet you, or a classmate. Number 2 is a pretty complex philosophical idea however I believe in it more than everything else. Also I purchased Flowers for Algernon a while ago and it only came recently. From my memory in your slide thing it said you liked it(?). Well it’s very good so far and it’s making my brain do a lot of thinking. Like my brain is literally imploding from reading it and thinking about all the other questions it indirectly acts. So that’s just a side note I wanted to add cause I’ve only had it since yesterday and I’ve already rambled on about for like over an hour to a friend who hasn’t even read it.. and I’m not even done yet! Oh well see you in a bit:)’... I wrote this to D in regards for the whole not switching out. I truly did forget about ever buying this book for five bucks on thrifted books back in like August. And I had only remembered buying it after he added it to his slide thing about like getting to know him. I kinda hate like having to have so many ideas and stuff in my head. Like right now I have so much in my head. Three key things are the philosophy of love, god and science. Those three are always in my head but for some reason everything’s just touching and mingling. I feel like I’m disappointing people who I should love but is it any matter if I disappoint them cause they never loved me before. Love is complex whether it’s sexual or romantic or all of the above. How can I like my teacher. He’s just a school teacher who’ll dissapear from my life before I know it. However what if it is fate.. God and science always correspond when trying to understand one of the other. Like what I’m thinking right now is if interfering with gods stuff really is worth it. Like if we hate gmo corn so much why are we trying to fix genetic disorders or mental stuff idk. I’ll say more later I’m too hungry to think.. (12:46)
This class is like boring as fuck. I like him as a person and as a teacher BUT I DO NOT LIKE HIS CLASSSSSSSSS. If I like consume his class outside of class yes fun nice wow! But if it’s in Class this fucking zoom SHOOT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like when I talk to him outside of Class it’s fun it’s wow:) but this Class makes me want to die. I wish it was Face to Face Class so I could just daydream about eating him out. However i can only see his Face and his hopelessness during these zooms. Fuck me. (13:16)
Yk i’ll be so bored but I never fucking listen in Class. Maybe if I listened Class would be less boring. (13:27)
Oh my God im so Smart, well we know that already but i was the only one who got this dumbass question right. Like im literally amazed at how dumb these people are. Wow! I Love this Class. Im Smart as fuck (♡´౪`♡)(14:11)
Earlier I went to Petsmart with my dad and we got the biggest most beautiful fish tank. I’ve already added rocks and two little accessories. As for the lights and filter I just finished working on it. It was hard as fuck to do everything but I got it done so I’m happy:)... I’m so excited to get fish and enjoy the tank and have a cute little pet(s)! I wonder what D’s favorite pet is. He seems like a dog person who grew up with cats all his life.. but would never own a dog irl. He’s a turtle dude I bet:D!! I was talking to Cat and she was joking over my type. And I was like “guys that do the dishes and do chores” like my standards are so low a seven year old could reach them. However they’d also have to be able to discuss topics and ideas I find interesting. I couldn’t date someone who was dense or uninspired by the lack of answers in the universe. I think that’s a big thing for me, someone who can talk to me about things that other people try to avoid. That’s why I’d fall for a teacher. I can only see them as knowing plenty of not all. So I’d have to have faith that they can have these convos. So I chose the hottest young blonde of all my teachers and called it a day. Ah Im fucking tired(22:30)

--
Sending Ellinor off to catch prince charming does wonders, momentarily, for olivia’s mood. It makes her lose sight of her own dysfunctional state of affairs. While her comrade showers she takes stock of all her surroundings, and the distraction soon fades. Her outfit cast aside on her desk chair, heels half-assed tossed to the floor by the shoe rack. At least she managed to wash her face and take out all the bobby pins, or so she thinks. Running her fingers through her hair, she finds two hanging on by a thread.
A few minutes later and she’s out of her pajamas and into a towel of her own, shower-bound. Her phone’s charged up but still plugged in; she’s checked it every time she wakes up from her poor sleep and then some, but still no messages from Cassandra and the afternoon is ticking away. Ellinor comes around the corner as she is leaving her doorway, looking all fresh and clean but face full of dread.
They face each other one last time before parting ways to clean up their messes. For some reason, they’ve been having to do that a lot lately. Head-to-head, the frown with dread and solidarity in the air, Ellinor dripping and smelling of old spice and some flowery stuff she definitely stole from Olivia after saying she thought it stunk, but lied. And likely will still lie about having “borrowed” it.
“Ready?” Ellinor asks, point blank.
Olivia nods, but then a whimper escapes her throat. “Y-yeah.”
“Not good enough, soldier. I said are we ready?”
“...Yeah!”
They stare again. Ellinor’s own whimpiness comes through in the souring of her frown and roll of her eyes. They both groan, Olivia knocking her head back as they pass each other at last.
“I’m so--”
“--Fucking tired, shit.”
“Good luck, don’t scare him!”
“Don’t worry, he already is.”
A door shuts, and Olivia slinks into the showers. The answer wasn’t the most hopeful, but she prays that Ellinor will keep up her record of fixing things that go astray. So far she’s done good, and Cullen seems like -- oh who is she kidding, he is the type to forgive if the intentions were harmless. While she hangs her towel it occurs to her she’s having one more of those sympathetic thoughts of him, and she rubs her face almost raw and lets the hot water consume her.
At least Ellinor has a plan of action, and some control over how to proceed. The shit ball is in her shit court. Olivia can’t say the same, and though she isn’t mad, it certainly leaves little for her to do but wait and worry. Cassandra isn’t a faker -- if she was angry or displeased with the way she was treated, Olivia would know. The way she looked when she shut the car door said anything but outraged. Sad, though...it did say sad. Running her hands through her hair as it rinses, Olivia can’t help but close her eyes as if it’ll help her not see the image in her mind.
By the time she emerges and returns to her dorm room Ellinor is gone, though there is a half-bent sticky note left on her door above the handle. It has a hastily-written heart on it, and a U underneath. Brief but much needed, it finds a home on her desk beside all the other ones she’s kept over the course of their friendship. Out of the corner of her eye she notices the note she pinned from Cassandra, who’s penmanship puts all others to shame, even her own.
Standing there, dripping and looking at a piece of paper as if it’s the fucking Grand Canyon or something. She always daydreamed about having some romantic youth. Dumbass, she calls herself as she shoves the closet door open and begins sifting through. What to wear? A brown paper bag and some sandals, maybe? It’s not like she’ll have anyone to impress, and if she did, the time to do it was last night. All her impress-juice had been dumped onto that party, and for what: so she could be a primadonna dick.
Eventually she pulls on some black denim skinny jeans and a grey, v-neck long-sleeve. She still has homework to do, and if she can drag her ass to the library or some other studious place, she can salvage her day and distract herself at the same time. Perfect. Fifteen minutes later she has packed her backpack, books, phone charger and all, and heads out, not looking back. She’s out on the lawn out front by the dorms, walking in her black sneakers with full commitment, when she notices a familiar purple-trimmed bike in the parking lot across the way. One that definitely has leftover residue of where a student’s parking sticker used to be.
“Fuck, shit,” she mutters. Theia.
Instantly she dives into one of the less-direct pavement paths. So much for cutting through quad and the Union building. Josie lives on-campus, but not close. Maybe if she’s there to stop by and make sure she got back safe, or something, she won’t have to worry about running into her. The last thing she needs is to deal with her before she even has a chance at seeing Cassandra. Arms folded to her chest, she hunches as she walks. It’s too late and cloudy to put sunglasses on without looking sketchy or hungover. Fuck, I wish I was hungover.
Suddenly, her phone goes off with the call ring. How it got switched off from silent mode is anyone’s guess. Olivia nearly drops dead to the ground like she’s avoiding enemy fire, and dashes for the nearest tree thick enough to hide behind. She digs through the first two pockets of her back where she usually tosses the damned thing, but it’s not until the last pocket of course that she finds it. Just as she’s about to press ignore, she sees Cassandra’s name on the caller ID.
OF FUCKING COURSE SHE HAS TO CALL WHEN I AM TRY--
“H-hello?” she whispers and squeaks at the same time, somehow, sliding the phone to her ear.
Without background noise, Cassandra’s tone comes in clear. “Hey, you okay?”
She slides down against the tree until she’s doing a half-assed version of one of those wall-sits she does at the gym when she hates herself and her glutes. Her bag goes to the grass. As wood chips off the bark and all the other sounds she’s certainly making come out loud and unmistakably concerning, she lies:
“Oh yeah! I’m fine, just--” she brushes her hair that’s collected in her face sans ponytail. “Just got out the door.”
“Oh. Gotcha. So are you in the middle of something, then?”
“Uh, um, yeah and no?”
“...”
“I was just...ow, fuck!” a shard of wood sticks her right in the ass cheek and she bounces off the tree, spinning around to face it like a foe.
“Olivia? You sure you’re okay?”
“Argh--yeah! I just...my calculator in my...pocket, it, er, stuck me in the ribs--”
“...you own a calculator?”
Why the hell did I say calculator? Why couldn’t I -- agh, fuck. “Yes, for just in case I...you know, um, I’m a little tired, so bare with me. I’m not good with words. You okay? D-did you go to…”
“--Church? Yes, I did.” There’s sounds of zippers and voices. “We just got done with practice, I’m at the fields still. I was wondering if you wanted…”
“Yes!”
“...to…”
“Ye--I mean, um, ahem,” she clears her throat, looking around for anyone who could be playing witness to her heinously embarrassing attempt to fit into the scenery. Sunday afternoons are quiet on campus, thank goodness. “I mean, you were saying?”
“Ahah, I meant...um, hold on a sec,” she mutters something away from the phone mic, vaguely authoritative. Then, a “no,” which is the only thing Olivia can tell for sure. “Uh, sorry, you still there?”
She’s started pacing. So much for not being seen. “Yeah!”
“Cool. I was...I mean...oh, hey, Ellinor is here?”
Get to the point Cassandra, please, please, please say you wanna -- “Oh! Yeah! Uh,” she takes a breath that’s about as useful for her nerves as a straight chug of mountain dew, “she said something about meeting Cullen after practice.”
“I...see.” She sounds concerned and slightly distracted. “I hope everything’s okay. This morning I ate a breakfast that I don’t think was...well, intended for me.”
Yikes. Time to pretend she had no idea, like she didn’t read the texts or get on Ellinor’s case about being a brunch-buster. “Oh, shit…” she lingers a few syllables on the cuss word, for added authenticity. “That sounds...um, rough.”
“Uh huh…” Cassandra’s talking like she’s walking, her breath pace changing. If she’s skeptical, Olivia can’t fully tell. “Well, anyways, has your day gone okay?”
God dammit, no, ask what you wanted to ask! “It’s gone good. Slow and steady, ya know. I’m just...swimmin,’ ahah.”
“You keep forgetting you’re bad liar, you know.”
Butterflies. Butterflies and regret and bubbles and all the weird feelings that can happen in someone’s gut without them feeling like they need hospitalization. “Uh…” She stops when she hears the sound of a car trunk opening through the phone.
“I’m just tired, I’ve been reading a lot, Cass,” she lets the frustration seep through even in her lying, and immediately regrets it. Rubbing the back of her neck, she looks off into the greenery and picturesque layout of buildings and their unlit windows and could already think of a billion other ways she could have answered. “I’m...I mean--”
“Oh, hey, no, I didn’t mean it like that. Um, hold on again, sorry.” Cassandra lets out a breath, then the sound of a car door, and then jingling. “Cullen and I drove to practice thinking we’d go get some ice cream or something afterwards, but it appears plans have changed.”
“So you have to drive his car again?”
“Well, I don’t have to, I just saw him and Ellinor walking off the field and assumed that’s how he’s gonna get back, and this lot isn’t for overnight parking.”
This conversation is going nowhere. Maybe it shouldn’t go anywhere. She isn’t exactly in the shape or mind to be perfectly sympathetic and patient, as evidenced by the way she’s damn-near vibrating with anxiety. Maybe what she wanted from the day wasn’t fair to ask, and seeing her would only do more harm than good.
“So,” Cassandra continues, and the ignition goes off. “I know you’ve been studying, but would you be willing to be my plan B companion for ice cream?”
“Sure! Yeah! No, I’ll meet you at the Blue lot by the gym?” Fuck, well, there went that constructive thought.
“Cool, I’ll be there in a couple minutes max.”
“Cool!”
They hang up, and as soon as she hits the red button Olivia groans and tossed her head back, hands on her eyes to block out the hopeful sight of the day and the birds chirping and all that nonsense. Surely at this point someone is filming her from a window to post it on one of those college humor facebook pages, captioning it “tfw your mom and dad call saying they got your mastercard bank statement.” In all actuality the caption should be “tfw you dare to be bisexual and in public at the same time.”
She does as she promises, though, and picks up her God forsaken backpack and marches her way through the shortcut path to the lot. With each step she tries to forget the guilt and nerves she has, the social anxiety she has in response to Cassandra acting like everything is fine. Is everything fine? Is this her way of broaching the talk they planned to have? Or is this some way to get Olivia to forget it and go back to being blissfully drowning in the honeymoon phase? Fuck, if their honeymoon phase in danger of a premature death? Are they in danger of premature death? How--
Before she knows it and can center herself, she’s on the curb and Cassandra is pulling up in that same black care she dropped her off in. The Ruther...Rutherf--...
She gets in, puzzled and stairing straight ahead. Without a word.
Cassandra stares, both hands at the wheel. “...Hey?”
“Rutherf...dammit, I’ve already said that one…”
“What?”
“Ruther...Rutherferrari? That’s dumb. No…” she folds her arms once she has her seatbelt on. “Fucking...dammit.”
“Are you...are you trying to come up with a name for the car?”
Olivia looks over at long last, and if she was already at a loss for thought, the look of Cassandra still sweaty and in her soccer jersey and shorts makes her a lost cause. Her mouth goes agape, though she’s still pouting. “Uhm, no!”
“You so are.” Cassandra grins, before looking up in the mirror. Someone’s pulling up behind them, so she puts it in gear and goes forward. Her eyes flash back onto her, checking that she did in fact put on her seatbelt. She’s so careful.
“I just can’t believe there’s only one car-related word that starts with an F! It can’t just be Ford!”
“You said it yourself, Ruther…” she stops and bites back a chuckle. “Rutherferrari.”
“See! It’s stupid! Even you think so. There has to be a better one…” She continues her stubborn search and looks out the passenger window as campus passes by at the very legal 15 mph pace. Just beyond a row of hills, the soccer fields come into view, empty. No sign of Ellinor or Cullen. Checking her phone, there are no messages or missed calls. Whatever is happening between them, it’s going somewhat well?
“Rutherfour-wheel-drive.”
Olivia blinks, her head jerking forward. “W-what?” She looks over and sees Cassandra smiling.
“Ruther-four-wheel-drive,” she repeats, and they pull out of the campus entrance.
Olivia rolls her lips shut and raises a brow. She’s quiet so long Cassandra has to look over, concerned. “What?” she asks as they stop at a red light.
“I...I just…”
“Is that a bad one?”
“No, I just...I never thought I could be so proud of someone in my entire life,” she says with a fake weepy voice, her hand laying flat on her chest like she’s accepting a Miss America award. “My God, no, I can’t cry, my lashes!”
“Ugh, smartass!” Cassandra fake-sneers, and presses the gas pedal. They’re on the move again, and while Olivia’s laughing, she turns up the radio a little bit. It’s hooked up to her phone via aux, playing some acoustic cover. Finally Olivia settles down and lays her head back against the headrest, a satisfied grin on her face.
“I’m sorry, it was really good, babe.”
Cassandra doesn’t respond sharply like she does. It gives Olivia time to realize, fuck, she’s called her babe. It rolls off her tongue like honey she’s been parched of all day, all week, all along. Still it’s clumsy as hell. How can something be both those things? If she plays cool, though, maybe it’ll be cool. Maybe it’ll be fine. Maybe --
“Uh, I mean...um…” well, so much for playing cool.
Cassandra smirks as they pull into a parking lot behind the ice cream shop. She’s chosen the one downtown, a small little place, but good stuff. She doesn’t make any comment, or refusal. Just smirks. It’s almost worse than if she started cleverly chiding her for it, or egging her on. Worse in that it’s...it’s welcoming. Welcoming and right. Olivia doesn’t have the guts to try more of her shitty luck at self-expression, so she’s quiet but polite as they get out of the car and walk into the place. It’s all white and bright, like a quintessential ice creamery, with colorfully decorated chalkboards lining the walls. They order, but not before Olivia samples three different flavors, no less than that -- she has to be thorough, after all. Cassandra never frowns or shows distaste for it, though, and soon they’re walking out with two waffle cones, Cassandra’s of rocky road, and Olivia’s caramel fudge ripple.
“Come on, let’s go for a walk,” Cassandra recommends as they exit, Olivia already taking the right towards the parking lot. She stops and hesitates, looking down the straight, idyllic downtown street she’s gesturing towards.
“Oh...uh, you sure?”
“Yeah. I mean, it’s not like I can drive with this,” Cassandra shrugs, holding her ice cream. It’s all neat, while Olivia is already fending off dripping around the sides. Classic.
“Oh. Okay. Um, sure! I mean,” Olivia starts walking with her, slow and playful in her swinging step, “it’s your reputation on the line, you being in public all gross and sweaty.”
“Is it?” Cassandra joins her, and without warning leans up against her, rubbing her shoulder and arm against Olivia and her freshly showered and clean self.
“Cassandra Penta...agh!” She shrieks and lurches away, but can’t help but laugh. Her ice cream skews, but she manages to keep it level with the ground. Precious, precious ice cream.
Cassandra laughs, and goes back to licking her own scoops. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“Uh huh,” Olivia huffs, switching hands. “Don’t try to assassinate my cone. I will make you reimburse me.”
They round the corner, where a public courtyard with several tables and sets of chairs are strewn about, bordered by stone plots of greenery and fern bushes, withering and skinny in the fall weather. There’s only one other middle-aged couple on the other side with a small dog. Above them, the sky is turning dark, but not quite enough for the street lamps to turn on.
“Wanna sit?” Olivia asks, pointing to one of the tables. “I need to work on this cone, it’s falling apart.”
“Sure,” Cassandra says simply, and they make their way over. Sitting across from each other, Olivia can look at her more discreetly while she salvages what she can of her pitiful cone. Taking her first bit into it, she notices Cassandra lean back comfortably, knees spread and free arm tucked under her chest and elbow. She looks like nothing ever happened. What could she have done to bounce back so quickly?
“So…” Olivia’s curiosity slips onto her mouth. “You...have a good day?”
“Me? Yes, I did.” Cassandra wipes the corner of her mouth with her thumb. I love it when she does that. “Most of it has been spent with Cullen, since we went from Church to home and then to practice. I barely had time to do any homework.”
“I bet.” She takes another crunchy bite of her cone as it is vanishing. “And...and the rest of your night last night?”
Cassandra takes a break from eating, but doesn’t miss a beat. “Oh. I just went home and relaxed, went to bed.”
“Cool. Same.” After I spent a half hour debating whether or not to drive to the Taco Bell down the road and cry into a crunch wrap, or find Ellinor wherever she was and steal her back from Cullen, or grab my eyebrow tweezers and go challenge Theia to a gay duel for honor, or --
“I can see that look.”
Olivia blinks, shakes her head, and her cone slightly cracks beneath her grip. Its audible cringe only worsens the odds for her denial. “W-what look?”
Cassandra takes a bite of her ice cream and licks her lips, her eyes intently on Olivia in a way that makes her want to melt faster than caramel fudge ripple in the mojave desert under a magnifying glass. She gulps, and her gaze locks on what remains of her cone as she rotates it around.
“Olivia.”
“I...fuck, this thing sucks at staying together, my cone is…”
“Olivia.” That time, Cassandra moves her hand from her lap to Olivia’s. She places it just above her knee. She’s down for the count when she does that. She lowers her cone grip and looks at her, really looks at her, and the failed facade dissolves.
“Cass...I…”
“I know, I--”
“No, you don’t. Just let me say this, okay?”
She doesn’t say it angrily, but with just enough assertiveness to where Cassandra removes her hand and straightens up. Her cone is gone, somehow; Olivia must have lost track of her eating it in her spinning thoughts. She rolls the napkin and puts it on the round table in front of them. Meanwhile, Olivia takes a deep breath, and looks away towards the garden growth.
“I meant what I said last night. I am sorry I handled everything the way I did. I should have been more transparent with what I was getting you into; Ellinor and I have spent so much time partying and...and doing things just us, so it’s not always clear to me that what we do can be overwhelming to someone else.” She pauses to look at her, and Cassandra’s eyes are lowered while she listens. It helps to not have her staring at her. “I just...I wish you would have told me, but I understand why you didn’t.”
“That is my fault. Liv, I…” she runs her hand through her hair, and it glistens and sticks down to her head. “I can’t talk about all of it tonight, and I’m sorry. I might have been a bit selfish in asking you to come with me. I just wanted to see you, to know for sure that everything was okay. I know that’s perhaps...not helping.”
No, probably not. On the other hand, Cassandra admitting to doing things selfishly and without logic is endearing. To know Olivia has that much sway, now, to where she would seek out her company even though the order of things would advise otherwise...that’s not lost on her. For that, Olivia’s posture softens, and she tosses her napkin on the table where it lands next to hers.
“I think we both need a breath. Just for a bit.”
Cassandra’s soft grin fades, but she nods. “I know.”
“I know you play strong, Cass, but I don’t want you to do it moreso for me. If you’re stressed, or...or triggered, then…”
“I have my strategies, I don’t just bluff. When I’ve had some more time I will explain everything. But if you are really worried, then…”
They are both treading carefully, and somewhat cluelessly. Even so, there’s something to be appreciated about it. Olivia’s phone buzzing breaks the ongoing pressure, but she doesn’t check to see what the notification is. No, nothing’s going to divert her from this, as tired as she may be.
“Don’t worry, I won’t make you be my arm candy to any parties in the near future,” Olivia grins as a piecemeal offering, one which Cassandra matches.
“Oh? Was I not the life of the party?”
Olivia snorts. “You were of mine. Jesus Ch--” a look, and she winces and looks away. “I mean, what the HELL-icopter...gosh, heck, gee--”
“Oh enough,” Cassandra chuckles softly, and rises to her feet. When she does she holds out her hand, and leans toward her like a polite escort. “We have some more walking to do.”
“Er, but you’ve finished your ice cream?” she grips her chair readily, though she eyes her.
Cassandra shakes her head, smile broadening. “Just a couple blocks more, if you’ll indulge me just this once.”
When you talk like that I can never refuse. Olivia rolls her eyes, kidding, of course, but she stands up. Grabbing their napkins and tossing them in the trash can nearest, they resume their walking down the street. The sky has only gotten paler, and winds chilled.
“You sure you don’t want to get a coat from the car, or something?” Olivia asks, hands in her jean pockets.
Cassandra shakes her head a second time, folding her arms apparently for her own comfort rather than to preserve warmth. “No, trust me, I’m enjoying the temperature. Among other things.”
Olivia looks up and finds her eyes looking right back. It makes her world slow. She almost hates it, or so she thinks. Sooner or later she’ll run out of energy for the false translation of how it makes her feel, and she’ll have to be honest with herself, and she knows it. It makes her heart sink, for better or worse, and she looks away toward the street.
“I am, too, I guess,” she says to mock, but her voice has warmed.
“You guess?”
Olivia smirks, sucking on her teeth. She really won’t let her get away with anything, anymore. That’s how much she knows. And so she lets her hands fall from her pockets, reaching and hooking around Cassandra’s bicep. She laces her fingers together over it, in a deviation from their understood rule of limited public contact. Complicit in her rule-breaking, Cassandra steps closer to her rather than breakaway. Out her peripheral vision, Olivia can see a grin grow generously on her face. And so she sighs silently, and finally allows herself to enjoy where she is.
“By the way,” Cassandra says hushed, “you have ice cream on your nose.”
To that, Olivia grins and proceeds to wipe her nose on the shoulder of Cassandra’s jersey. “Cool. Now we’re even.”

Little Death. // Prologue
Tumblr media
PAIRINGS: Jeon Jungkook x Reader.
GENRE: Angst, Fluff, Smut.
RATING: +16
WARNINGS: swearing, mentions of sex, moron! Jungkook.
WORD COUNT: 1.215
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Alright, I’m bored… Let’s play spin the bottle” Cassidy said raising up the empty bottle we were all drinking from just minutes ago.
“I think truth or dare is actually way more fun Cass, let’s do that instead.” Seokjin, her non-boyfriend, but not only friend, plus my best friend since childhood, asked while putting his arm around her waist and bringing her to sit down with the rest of us in the giant couch we were at.
“ Fine. Who’s first?” No one talked, there was no answer at all. “Agh, come on guys! Don’t be such party poopers.” A few seconds went by and there was still no answer. Cass looked over at Seokjin with a pout on her face, her little tantrum was kind of funny actually. “Okay, since none of you is offering” she said while pointing at everyone with her finger. “Y/N, you’re first. Truth or Dare.”
“What?” Everyone’s eyes were on me now… Why Cass? You’re supposed to be my best friend’s 'girlfriend', that kind of makes us like best friends... Why do you want to expose me like this. “I think I hate you” I rolled my eyes while standing up and walking over to the table behind the couch, if I was going to do this I needed something to drink “Truth.” I poured some Rum and Coke on my typicall red cup, taking a sip of it I realized it was kind of strong, but since I was playing truth or dare I for sure needed something strong. Maybe getting drunk was not such a bad idea after all.
“When was you’re first time having sex?” I choked. Yep, I definitely hate her now.
“Not gonna happen Cass. There’s no way I’m telling that story.” I said while walking back to the couch and sitting on it. I looked at her, I looked at Seokjin, I looked at everyone, twenty freaking pair of eyes looking right at me. “What?”
“You have to tell us the story Y/N, you picked up truth. Now, spill the tea.” Seokjin said while standing up and doing the exact same thing i did two seconds ago.
“Oh, really?” I moved and looked right at him “Guess what Bleachedblondie, I’m not gonna tell the freaking story.” I said with a fake smile on my face. “Sorry guys.”
“Y/N… come on.” Cass had her puppy eyes and a pout on. They worked on everyone, but not on me. There was no way i was telling this story.
“Cass, no. You went a little to far with that question, don’t you think?” I said while taking another sip from my cup.
“Maybe she hasn’t even had sex yet.” A voice said to my right. Jeon fucking Jungkook, of course it had to be him.
I just looked at him and did not speak a word. As I said, there’s no way I’m telling that story and definitely not with him right there. He knew the story, he knew it pretty well because he was the one I first had sex with. How? I don’t know. When? A year ago. Was is because i loved him? Hell no. He just had something. Something I couldn’t resist to. He had power over me, and he knew that. But I was not gonna let him do this.
“Alright, if you guys want to know it so badly. It was a year ago, in Jimin’s birthday party.” I took another sip of my cup.
“With whom?” Cass was surprised. I never told her that story, we were close, yeah, but not that much. Seokjin is the only one that knows besides me and Jungkook, after it happened Kook an I decided to keep it secret. He was kind of getting to know a girl a year older than him, so he was working hard to get her, or at least to get to her pants... I don’t even know why i kept it though.
“With a moron.” I felt his eyes staring at me. Y/N one, Jungkook cero.
“Do you regret it?” He asked. Great... Of course not, I do not regret anything that happened that night. At all. But I’m not gonna tell him that. He already has a huge blown up ego and I’m not going to blow it up even more. I looked at him directly to the eyes. “Sometimes.” He had a smirk on his face, he knew me a bit to well... He knew I was lying... Was it that obvious?
“Alright guys. Next one, I hope my story dilighted your ears but I’m not gonna talk abut it anymore.” I laughed and drank what was left on my cup. The game kept going on some spicy truths, some dumbass dares and ones not so dumb at all. Jungkook’s eyes never left my body after the truth I told... Maybe he was feeling kind of hurt? not in the sentimental way, there’s no way I hurt him that way. But his ego... That must have hurt his ego.
I stood up and went to the bathroom, took my time, did what i had to do and just when I was about to head back to the room, I recieved a text; “Sometimes, uh?”. Of course it had to be him. I laughed at my phone screen and sighed... looked myself in the mirror and decided to answer. “Yeah. As I said, the guy was a moron.” Not even a minute when by when he answered. “mm, I don’t think so. I heard that guy is actually pretty cool.”
“ Well, whoever told you that is lying. He definitely is a moron. With capital letters.” I wrote back to him while walking inside the room where everyone was at and sitting right next to Seokjin.
” Are you okay? I told Cass she shouldn’t have asked you that, I’m sorry.” He asked right after i sat beside him.
”Well, you kind of forced me to talk about it so I hate you as much as I hate her right now.” I looked at him and sticked my tongue at him. “But I’ll forguet about it tomorrow morning, so don’t worry Bleachedhead.”He laughed at the pet name i was now starting to use against him since he decided that bleaching his hair was an amazing thing to do right before starting our second year of college. “Don’t do it again though. I’m like your little sister, you’re supposed to be on my side in this kind of situations.” He sticked out his little finger at me and said that he pinkie promissed me that he was not gonna do it ever again. My phone lighted up again and my lock screen showed a message from the moron sitting right in front of me. “Yeah, sure. You were not saying the same thing that same day though.” I looked at him and rolled my eyes. “Whatever... I’m done with this convo, Moron.” He smirked while typing the next thing and excusing himself out: “See you outside in five. I’ll be waiting, beautiful.”
I don’t know what it was. If those brown eyes, his black messy hair or his badass and hot look and atittude that got me all over the place. But there was one thing that I always knew, and it was that he was going to be the death of me. And man… he for sure was.

Comfort Food
ASK by @givemehoroscopes:  hey hello hi could I request a tae scenario where it's yoongi's birthday the boys throw a big party and as being close friends with them Y/N is invited. And theeen, she gets very drunk because she has realised that she has feelings for tae and can't cope with it normally;) and then tae is being very soft like his usual self and takes care of her, and Y/N confesses to him and then can't remember anything in the morning THANK YOU I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY <3
Pairing: Taehyung x Reader (ft. bff Jungkook)
Genre: fratboy!bts
Length: 6.3K
Authors Note (Admin Taenox): READ ON COMPUTER, LOOKS WEIRD ON PHONES !! I’m sorry it took so long and I hope you like it <3 ALSO: This might look weird on my phone since I’m formatting on my laptop. And my writing style can be confusing so in case you don’t know: italics mean internal thoughts of whoever’s POV the scene is in. Quotations is normal speaking.
“What did you just say to me?”
“Cancel all of your plans and be at the frat house by 8.”
“I swear to god, Kim Taehyung, if you think I’m going to spend my birthday throwing up in a toilet, you’re wrong.”
“Come on, hyung. You know you enjoy every second of it. You’re always a grouch about it before, but when you show up, you’re the life of the party.”
“No. I hate those parties.”
“Tell that to all the girls you grind on when you’re drunk.”
“Fuck you, Kim Taehyung.”
“I’m good, but I’m sure the girls would take the offer.”
Hoseok stepped in.
“Hobi, save me from this madman.”
“Yeah, dumbass, he clearly isn’t being convinced,” chimed in Jimin.
Jin whacked Jimin with his sleeve. “Don’t call Tae a dumbass, dumbass.”
“Okay, I have to step in as the leader here and clear things up,” said Namjoon. “Tae is, in fact, sometimes, occasionally, a dumbass.”
Jin whacked Namjoon with his sleeve. “Then you’re a dumbass too. Leader, pshh. I’m the oldest one here, You all better listen to me or else…”
“You’ll beat us up?” added in Jungkook, while flexing.
“Don’t get cocky on me. I can still beat you in a fight.”
“Hey Yoongi hyung,” said Jimin softly. “I think you’re really cool and smart and amazing and-”
“You damn well KNOW you enjoy those parties too,” repeated Taehyung.
“We even invite the girls.”
“OKAY. EVERYONE SHUT UP. I’ll go! You better bring me a trillion gifts and a lot of alcohol.”
Yoongi looked up at the other six. A small surprised moment of silence ensued.
Then madness.
“YES!” “FINALLY!” “OH MY GOODNESS, IT IS GOING TO BE SOOO LIT!” “SUCCESS!” “HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOONGI!”
And that’s how the night began.
                                                         …
                                                        Y/N
There are a great number of distinctions between a frat party and every other party. Frat parties have way too many people for way too little space, while regular parties have an average amount of people for an average amount of space. Frat parties have copious, even outrageous amounts of alcohol, while every other party has just enough. Everyone knows that whoever chugs the most from the keg is obviously far superior to the mere lightweights. And most importantly, unlike every other party, frat parties were where mistakes are made.
And this frat party was no different. Booze was in every hand and music was blasting in every corner of the medium sized frat house. When you entered through the front doors, you could feel the temperature go up by several degrees. You scanned the room. On your right was the crazy dance pit full of writhing bodies. As expected, Min Yoongi, along with Jin, Jimin, Joon and Hoseok, was right in the middle, having the time of his life. On your left was a large table of food and beer. And straight ahead was the kitchen. Your eyes drifted over the pit again. Gosh why did it have to be so dark in there? “Hey. Hobi…. Hobi!”
He can’t hear me. Guess I’ll have to go in there myself. Ugh.
You started to make you way through the crowd of sweaty drunk people.
Why do people enjoy this? I mean, there has to be a reason why people get drunk right? Alcohol tastes like crap, so it can’t be that they enjoy the taste. To get away from some emotion then. To get so drunk that they become emotionless and let their bodies go to the sway of the music? It’s better to feel the emotions and get over them slowly but surely right? Right?
You were next to Hobi now.
Your arm reached out and poked his shoulder.
“HEY IM JUST TRYING TO DANCE SO IF YOU DON’T MIND- OHHH! Y/N IT’S JUST YOU! HI!”
“Where’s Jungkook?”
“HUH?”
“WHERE’S JUNGKOOK?”
“THE KITCHEN.”
“THANK YOU!”
“COME JOIN US AFTER Y/N! WE MISSED YOU”
“MISSED YOU TOO!”
You started to push your way out of the crowd. “Watch out!” “Sorry!” “Excuse me.”
After picking up some punch off of the 2% of the table that was not alcohol, you turned your feet towards the kitchen.
Wait. What if Taehyung’s in there? He’s always with Kook.
I should go touch up my makeup.
You started to make your way to the bathroom when you collided with someone.
“I’m sorry,” you both said at the same time.
“Oh. Yah! It’s you! Hobi said you were in the kitchen?”
“Yeah I was but I came out to find you. You were supposed to be here an hour ago! You didn’t respond to any of your texts. I was worried about you.”
“Ah, shit. Sorry Kook, I was finishing up that stupid group project. That dumb bitch Amy didn’t do her part. Did I make you worry about noooonnnnaaaa?”
“Blech, you disgust me y/n. Anyways, we have to talk about the thing.”
“What thing?”
“Are you dumb?”
“Yes.”
“Goddamn it, y/n.”
Jungkook brought his voice down to a whisper.
“The Tae Thing.”
“Oh. That. Hahah we can just pretend I never texted you that it’s fine I know you and him are best friends and that would be weird and I totally get it and”
“You’re doing it again.”
“Huh?”
“Talking too much because you’re nervous.”
“I’m that obvious am I?”
“Yes.”
“WOW. What a supportive friend. I’m so thankful to have someone like you by my side.”
“Pshh, you don’t have to thank me y/n.”
“It was sarcasm, idiot.”
“Oh.”
“But for real. This is probably weird for you. He’s also one of your best friends.”
“Dude, are you kidding me? That would be fucking amazing. My two best friends start dating. They always force me to third wheel with them. Then they feel bad for me since I’m always third wheeling for them, so they set me up with a smoking hot babe for a double date. You see? I’ve thought this through.”
“You’re a crackhead. Anyways I’m going to the bathroom, I’ll be right back.”
“Oh okay, I’ll get Tae. Don’t worry, I’ll act natural. I know nothing about this.”
“Hahaha okay, you better. Bye, I’ll be back soon.”
You turned away from Jungkook and headed to the bathrooms.
You made sure to lock the door behind you.
So no frisky couples can kick me out of here.
Looking at yourself in the mirror could go one of three ways. Sometimes you thought you looked like a sultry, hot goddess. Other times, you thought you looked like Gollum. And for the most part, like today, you usually just thought you were average.
Your fingers skirted down to the hem of your black bodycon dress,  tugged up, then folded.
Heck. If I don’t feel hot yet, might as well be a little more revealing.
Great.
Now your knee length dress was a party dress. Giving your hair a little ruffle, you checked yourself out.
You reached into your wallet and took out a tube of your favorite lipstick shade.
Haha, I knew this would come in handy. Self confidence here I come.
No one would have expected your favorite color was a classic bright red. It didn’t suit your personality at all. You weren’t a party girl. Frankly, no matter how much you wanted to pretend you were that hot girl at the party that all the girls were jealous of and all the guys drooled over, you knew that wasn’t you. You were the girl that worked too hard. The girl that studied a lot and wore hoodies all the time and took care of other party girls. You were the nice one, not the desirable one. But bright red made you feel like you were on top of the world, like you were a badass career woman who could take names and kick ass.
Stepping back, you gave yourself one last look through. Ruffled hair, smudged eyeliner, red lips, your little black dress, and strappy shoes.
It’s showtime.
You unlocked the door and strutted out of that bathroom with all of your confidence that immediately melted away the second you saw Kim Taehyung.
Your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat when you saw him. He was, quite frankly, ethereal. But unlike those other attractive guys, he wasn’t cocky. He didn’t expect anything from anyone. In fact, he was almost exactly the opposite, never talking about himself at all. Instead, he took care of everyone around him in his own special little way, joking around, flashing boxy smiles, and being serious when he needed to.
“Wahh, y/n you look great today, doesn’t she hyung,” quipped Jungkook excitedly, slapping Taehyung’s back.
Oh my god, Jeon Jungkook why would you ever say that?
“Oh hey Taehyung! How’s it going?”
Shit, I should’ve just said hi. Or what’s up? Or-
“I’m amazing y/n. And Jungkook’s right. You look pretty.”
There your heart went skipping beats again. You felt a slight blush come up onto your face.
“Ah haha thank you. It's hot here, let’s go get some cold punch or something. I’m out”
“Yeah let’s go get some drinks and get on the dance floor. We aren’t at a party to be wallflowers. Look at Yoongi over there.”
You and Tae both turned your heads to where he was pointing.
“Sure looks like he’s enjoying himself,” you said.
“Yeah, seriously,” agreed Taehyung. “You have no idea how much we had to bribe him to come to his own birthday party.”
Jungkook put his arm around your shoulders. “Well are you two done being jealous of Yoongi’s abilities yet? Cuz I’m thirsty.”
You looked over. “You’re always thirsty, Jungkook.”
“Ha ha very funny y/n. Lets just go.”
Jungkook grabbed you with one hand and Taehyung with the other and dragged both of you behind him.
You gave Tae a helpless look and shrugged. He smiled back.
Agh that cute boxy smile. Why am I like this?
“Hey, I’ll be back guys one second. I want to go put this clutch away so we can all go dance! Go hang with the other guys.  I’ll be back in a minute or two.”
“Okay y/n! Come back fast!”
You hurried of the door and sat down on the sidewalk. A crescent moon hovered above your head.
You look so pretty glowing like that. I wish I could look like you. Why do I even like him? I wish these feelings would go away already. I’m too tired of debating on if I should confess or not. This is too hard.
The door creaked behind you.
“Aha, I knew you weren’t putting away your purse.”
“Jungkook. It’s too overwhelming.”
“Well, you see, that’s how you know it’s real y/n. I promise today will be a good night for you okay? I think you should just be more confident and love yourself more.
“But I’m like not nearly as attractive or cool as Tae is and like not on his level at all.”
I’m saying this objectively, not as your friend: you are freaking beautiful. Not like those girls all over Yoongi, Joon, and Hope right now. You’re beautiful in the most real way. Outside and inside. Just remember that and get back in there, my gawd, you’re wasting precious time sitting out here being existential.”
“Well, I was just going to say thank you for the pep talk but huh, you had to ruin it at the end didn’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Hahahaha.”
“See. I made you laugh. I win.”
“Goddamnit. OKAY.”
You stood up.
“I CAN WIN OVER HIS HEART RIGHT? LET’S GO BACK IN.”
You started to open the door. “Wait y/n. Go put away your purse clutch thingy. That’s what you said you were going to do. It’d be weird if you went in there with it.”
“Oh shit, you’re right. Thanks Kook.”
                                                        …
                                                TAEHYUNG
“Where’d Jungkook go, Taehyung?”
“He said he went to the bathroom, but I think he went to chase after y/n.”
“Y/n? I told her to come join us! Where’d she go?”
“I would but for some reason I feel like she’s avoiding me and Kook knows what’s up. I’ll go ask him later. I hope she’s okay.”
“I’m sure she’s okay. Now look I don’t have time for petty girl drama. The hyungs are about to perform live. I need you to dance like a crazy hypeman with me.”
“If it’s Ddaeng, then you know I’m in Jimin.
“Ayy let’s go.”
                                                        …
                                                       Y/N
Entering back into the now hot and heavy atmosphere in the living room, you couldn’t help but nod your head along to the beat of the music. “Damn, they’re killing it. You sure this is just a hobby?” “I know right,” yelled back Jungkook over the music. “They’re insanely good. I keep telling them to find a company.”
“Wait Jungkook. I need a drink.”
“What?”
“A real drink to make me brave. I’m going to tell him. Like an alcoholic drink.”
“WHAT?”
“I mean I’ve liked him for like a year now. Might as well get rejected and let go.”
“What do you mean? You don’t drink alcohol. Is this real? You’re finally going to get laid tonight. YES!”
“EW. Jungkook, hell no. The point is, I’m too emotionally exhausted for this chasing game anymore. I’m just going to say it. And whatever happens will happen.”
“Shut up he’s going to say yes and I’m so excited! Let’s go get drunk!”
“Yes please. My nerves are going to jump out of my skin and run away at this point.”
Jungkook led you to the drinks. “Okay, there’s vodka, whiskey, or tequila. All three will do the job and get you some liquid courage, aka get you very drunk. Whiskey tastes the best in my opinion. Or you could go for the beer which is abit more light and you’ll still be sane the whole night.”
“What’s going to get me so drunk I won’t remember anything tomorrow? In case he rejects me, I’d rather never know it happened.”
“Here you are.”
Jungkook slid a shot glass towards you.
“What’s this one?”
“The vodka. Here I’ll take a few shots with you so you don’t feel alone. Ready?”
You picked up the tiny glass cup. It was slightly strange that something this small had the power to do so much good and bad. Mostly bad. You had never really heard a story that started with “So I got really drunk” that ended with “and we all lived happily ever after”.
Well, here goes nothing.
“3...2...1… GO!”
It burned more than you thought it would. You coughed.
“Why would people drink this stuff? It tastes like poison.”
“The same reason you’re drinking it right now. To get drunk.”
I guess that makes sense.
After a few shots, Jungkook stopped drinking.
“Hey, y/n. I feel woozy let’s s-stop. I think this is enough to feel brave.”
“What? Are you a lightweight or something? No! I need more.”
After a “few” more shots, Jungkook stopped you.
“Yah, are you crazy? You’re going to get alcohol poisoning and die if you keep going at this rate. Look at your face.”
You looked at your reflection in the glass.
Your face was turning bright red, just like your lipstick.
“That’s okay, I like red. And I don’t feel drunk. I’m pretty sure I’m sober. Whoa, I’m so cool. A heavyweight. A HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Aren’t I cool Jungkook, Jungkookie, Kookie-pie?”
“Yep, you’re drunk.”
“No, I’m nooooottt. I’m soberrrr.”
“Who do you like y/n?”
“Kim Taehyung,” you replied without hesitating.
“And you’re going to confess to him today, before the night ends okay?”
“Yessir.”
“And you’re not going to throw up on him, or embarrass yourself.”
“Mmhmm.”
“Okay. You can do this.”
“I can doooo th-this!”
Your hand started to grab another shot glass.
“Oh my god, y/n. Stop drinking. You’re going to end up being blackout drunk and forget to confess.”
“But I’m still scared.”
“Y/n. Stop. Listen to me. I’ve gotten drunk plenty of times. Getting drunk will make you braver sure. But after a certain point, you’re going to lose yourself. So no more drinking! After all, alcohol isn’t comfort food!”
You deliberated that for a moment.
“I mean, I can’t really think right now, so I’m just going to listen to you. What next, Drinking Master Kook?”
“Next, we go get your man.”
                                                        …
Looking for Taehyung and the others, Jungkook easily weaved through the crowd that had seemingly doubled since 10 minutes ago. Following behind him, you tried to not bump into the tipsy girls with glasses that were sure to spill. Eventually, after a few minutes of blindly stumbling through the dark, you and Kook found them.
“Look who finally decided to show up,” yelled Hoseok.
“Y/n, it took you that long to put away your purse? Jungkook, jesus! That was one long bathroom break.”
Shit, he knows something’s up. Well, duh, to be honest. What did I expect? We’ve been gone for nearly an hour now.
“Sorry Tae, me and y/n just got some drinks to be more loose and carefree. She’s had a long day with project mates fucking her over”
“It’s fine, just help me with these hyungs. They’re drunk out of their minds.”
“I’m th-the leader. Don’t tell me what to do”
Namjoon hiccupped and pouted.
“I can do whatever I want.”
“See what I’m dealing with here?”
“Shit, sorry Tae. Look! I’ll make it up to you. I’ll call an Uber and take them home. You and y/n stay. I’ll take care of it.”
Oh my gosh he’s leaving us alone on purpose, isn’t he?
                                                        …
                                                TAEHYUNG
He’s totally leaving us alone on purpose.
Jungkook was the only one that knew that Taehyung liked y/n. No one else. Not even the hyungs. It’s not like Jungkook was the best secret keeper. But he was Taehyung's best friend.
“Yeah, okay. Make sure the hyungs get home safely. Sorry, Jungkookie. And thank you!
I should use this opportunity and tell her today. What if she says no though? Oh my gosh, why didn’t I think this through before I told Jungkook to invite her. Shit. Fuck. What am I gonna do?
He shook his head.
No, let’s just do it. Be brave and just go for it. Yes. I’m going to ask her today.
I’m going to ask y/n to be my girlfriend.
                                                        …
                                                       Y/N
It had been a few minutes since Jungkook had left with the rest of the group. This was the time where things usually started to get awkward for you. But not tonight. Tonight, you were on top of the world. Or maybe you were just too drunk to feel mundane emotions such as awkwardness. Either way, tonight would be a turning point. You would either be insanely happy from now on or be insanely sad for a little while. You would get over it in the end of the day. Heck, anything could happen to you right now. But you would be okay. Because right now you were happy. You were almost euphoric moving your body to the rhythm with Taehyung. And that, in itself, was enough for you.
As the night went on, you and Taehyung started to get touchy. A playful pat on the shoulders. A flirty smile here and there. When the perfect sentimental songs came on, Taehyung could really handle it anymore.
“Will you dance with me y/n?”
You couldn’t believe it when you heard it. THE Kim Taehyung that all the preppy college girls lusted over, THE Kim Taehyung that all the guys wanted to be friends with purely to get girls to hang out with them, THE Kim Taehyung had just asked you to dance with him.
Have I died? Am I a ghost getting whatever I want in heaven?
“Oh. Okay.”
And together you danced the night away until he kissed you and you dated and lived happily ever after.
Atleast that’s what you dreamed of while your hand was in his. It’s what you were thinking about when his hand slowly drifted down from your shoulders and slipped around your waist, pulling you closer, until you were flush against his body. A blush crept up your neck as you looked into his eyes.
They were looking right back at you. “You’re turning red.”
You quickly looked away and put your head into his chest.
“I’m drunk.”
“Yes, y/n. I know.”
“Okay.”
“If I didn’t know better I’d think you were being affected by me. Am I affecting you y/n?”
You stayed quiet.
His right hand drifted back up your body to lift our chin up, forcing you to make eye contact with him again.
“Am I affecting you yet?”
“No,” you whispered.
“You’re a but stubborn, aren’t you y/n? That’s okay.”
He leaned his head in until it was a few centimeters away from you. “I like stubborn. How about now?”
It took everything you had to shake your head back and forth.
“That’s okay y/n. Both you and I know that I am.”
And then he was kissing you.
A hundred thoughts went through your mind in that instant.
Wow. His lips are soft. So soft. And they taste like alcohol. If I drank a mango smoothie, would my lips taste like mango? I should drink honey lemon tea next time. Will there be a next time? Does this mean he likes me? Oh my god, was I so drunk that I kissed him? Am I throwing myself on him? WAIT. HOLY SHIT. KIM TAEHYUNG IS KISSING ME.
It hit you.
The man you sneaked looks at for the past year was kissing you.
Your breath hitched in your throat.
Wait. N-no!
You coughed into the kiss while trying and failing to recoil back as quickly as possible.
“Oh my god, s-sorry,” you sputtered. “I just… wasn’t expecting that.”
You turned around. “Oh. Uhhh..”
Taehyung’s eyes were wide open. The little corner of his lips was slightly turned up.
Shit. He’s laughing at me. This has gotta be the most embarrassing moment of my entire 24 years of living. I have to go rant about this to Jungkook later.
“Um, I need to leave. Sorry!” You turned back around and you ran out of that room as fast as you could. One foot in front of the other, you bounded all the way to your car.
“Shit. SHIT SHIT SHIT.”
You took out your phone and called Jungkook.
Pickuppickuppleaseohmygodpickup.
“Y/n?”
“JUNGKOOK! OH MY GOD. Please pick me up I’ll explain later.”
“Y/n, what happened? Are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m fine. But holy crap, Taehyung kissed me.”
“HE WHAT?”
“I KNOW RIGHT?”
“Well, did you tell him?”
“What?”
“That you like him? I mean clearly he likes you!”
“Well… no there’s more to the story. Can you just come pick me up? I’m drunk.”
“I would. But I can’t right now. These hyungs are still drunk off their ass and acting like monkeys in the dorm.”
“Please?”
“They’re crazy right now y/n. Take a cab! Come over, we can talk about it.”
“But Tae lives in your dorm.”
“Yeah. But I have my own room. You can stay over.”
“I don’t know.”
“Y/n, come on,” he whined. “I’ve missed you. You’re always studying. Come over.”
“Fine. I’ll get a cab. Ughhh kill me. As if this could get any worse.”
“I’m sure it’s all going to be okay. We should celebrate! He kissed you! YAY! BE HAPPY Y/N.”
“OKAY! I’m leaving. Bye!” “Bye!”
Silence took over. The streetlight cast a dim glow on the vacant road. A sigh escaped you.
I guess he’s right. I mean. This is what I was hoping for right?
Your mind flashed back to the incident.
But I really fucked it up this time. Didn’t you, y/n? I wonder if he knew that I was an amateur.
You shook your head in frustration.
Hey, I gotta look at the positives though. Frankly, this day couldn’t get any more embarrassing. Wait...
Footsteps broke the silence.
“Y/n, oh my gosh. Here you are. I’ve been looking for you everywhere!”
Drops of sweat rolled down Taehyung’s forehead. His sleeve wiped his face as he bend down with his arm on his knee. After panting for a few seconds while you stared at him in shock, he rose up. “You’re drunk. I’m not. And cabs don’t run at this time.”
“Ah, Jungkook will pick me up! Don’t worry!”
“I already called him. He said you were going to come over to our frat.”
“Oh.”
He smiled.
“It’s okay. We don’t have to talk about it. I promise, I’m not a horrible person who’ll hate you now. If you’re thinking something along those lines, you should forget it. I… I still have a lot to say to you. But for now, I’ll give you a ride. I didn’t drunk any alcohol.”
“Ah, that’s okay! I’ll just walk to my dorm room! I’ll talk to Jungkook tomorrow.”
You started to turn around when you felt his hand clasp around yours.
“Please.”
His eyes were a drug.
They were warm and beckoning.
They were safe and comfortable.
They were…
“Okay.”
You turned around to face him.
“So where’s your car?”
                                                        …
                                                   YOONGI
“Goddamnit Jin. Is this payback for that one time I gave you acrylic stands of myself?”
“I know how to spell stand. S T A N D. Stand. P I Z Z A. Pizza. P A S T A. Pasta. I’m smart!”
“You’re a dumbass, Jin.”
“Shut up, Jungkook. I’m not the one who got a 3 on my english exam. Did you like your gift Yoongs? Yoongi? Y to the G?”
“Of course not! Here I am expecting Gucci thermal underwear and you get me your acrylic stands. I can get those for free. I’m in the same band as you idiot.”
“You could have at least pretended to like it. I would have done that. Why are you so mean to meeee?”
“Oh, stop pouting Jin. I’ll save it as a good memory of our collective dumbassery. Anyways, Jimin, it’s your turn. What did you get your beloved hyung?”
“Um… I don’t know if you’ll like it or not. But I’m giving you my heart.”
“Huh? I think you mean thermal Gucci underwear.”
“Sorry, I’m poor.”
“Hmmmmm… well. Your heart shall have to do. I accept. Thank you Park Jimin.”
“wHat THe FucK, YoONgs?”
“What?”
“Why does HE get a free pass? Atleast I actually gave you something!”
“Moving…
“but-”
“On. Namjoon, it’s yo- Oh hi Taehyung!”
                                                        …
                                                       Y/N
“Oh hi Taehyung! Y/n, you’re here too! Come. Join us! Have a seat.”
You could feel Jungkook staring at you. You felt a blush starting to climb up your neck.
“Hey, you must be drunk,” shouted Namjoon. “You’re beet red like the rest of us. What are you y/n? A lightweight? I’m a heavyweight! Let’s fight. SHOTS!”
“Y/n need’s rest right now,” butted in Jungkook. “As your best friend, I declare you to go up to my room and sleep. I’ll take the couch don’t worry! Tae go in there first and make sure it isn’t like dirty or anything.”
He looked over at you and winked.
Wow, I’m going to beat this kid up later.
“Oh. Uh, yeah. One sec y/n. Let me give Yoongi his birthday present. Then I’ll get Jungkook’s. You can go up to my room for a few minutes. It’s two down from Jungkook's to the right. I’ll call you down!”
“Okay. Thanks Tae.”
“My pleasure.”
You walked past the red plastic cups, up the stairs, and around very passed out Hobi to Jungkook’s room.
Two to the right. Ah.
After a few seconds of blindly staring, you opened the door.
The lamp cloaked the room in a muted purple. Polaroids littered the wall directly in front of you: pictures of the boys, landscapes, old stores, parties, anything and everything one could think of. Some had words written on the blank space at the bottom. Other’s were empty. Cute thumbtacks pinned galaxy themed letter paper in the empty space. A few movie posters were placed on the other walls, along with beautiful paintings that you couldn’t quite decipher. A bookshelf, a bed, a desk space and a rug made the the room feel whole.
So this is Kim Taehyung's room.
It was a visual representation of his mind. And it was absolutely beautiful.
Your fingers trailed across the pictures as you looked around his room until you got to the window. The sill had something etched on it with what probably was a knife. Upon closer inspection, you could see what it said:
                               Dreams grow here.
What a pretty thought.
Outside the window, a part of the roof jutted out, substituting as a makeshift terrace. You could see a green beanbag out there among a few other belongings.
I wonder what else is out there in Taehyung’s dream world.
Without thinking, your fingers grasped the bottom of the window pane and pulled. A gust of wind billowed the curtains. The breeze felt nice on your face.
He isn’t here yet, and it’s probably going to take him a while to clean Jungkook’s room. That kid is messy as fuck. I’m burning up in here and I’ll get back in a minute or two. So it’s fine. Yup. It’s fine.
You had hoisted one foot out and then ducked your head under the window to the other side when you heard the dorm door creak open.
                                                        …
                                                 TAEHYUNG
Making his way out of Jungkook’s room, Taehyung headed down the hallway two doors down, making sure to stop and check his hair on the mirror hanging off of Jin’s door.
“I can’t believe I’m actually using this stupid thing,” Tae muttered to himself. His mind went back to when Jin bought this. “What? I need to be able to see my beauty everytime I walk into my room, so I can fall in love with myself more!” Taehyung giggled softly.
That hyung..
Now Taehyung stood in front of his own door.
Should I knock or something? Is that what I’m supposed to do? But what if she’s sleeping and I wake her up. I did take a while..
Deciding to just go in, he pushed open the door.
There, directly ahead of him, was y/n. She was halfway out of the window, with her back arched and her already short dress hiked up, exposing her upper thighs .
Taehyung bit his lip, feeling his face go on fire.
“Oh shit! Hi Taehyung! Hold on.”
Y/n turned her back, maneuvering herself so she could see Tae.
Fuck.
From his angle, Taehyung could see all of y/n’s curves on her petite frame. He had been pretty exhausted after the party and dealing with the boys, but he definitely wasn’t tired anymore.
“Can we go out here for a second? It’s kind of hot inside.”
Taehyung cleared his throat.
“S-sure. Yeah.”
Taehyung slipped out after y/n.
“I don’t really bring people up here much. It’s like my place to think. Clear my mind, ya know?”
“Yeah, I get that. I wish I had a place like this. It’s gorgeous out here.”
“Sit here”
Taehyung sat on the beanbag next to y/n and let the sound of wind take over as you both stared up at the stars.
                                                        …
                                                       Y/N
“I have drinks in the mini fridge, if you want.”
“YOU HAVE A MINI FRIDGE OUT HERE? THAT’S SO COOL.”
“Yeah! What do you want? I have beer, tea, and soda.”
“I’ll take some beer, please.”
I’m going to need the bravery.
“Are you sure? You were pretty drunk before.”
You smiled and rolled your eyes. “That car ride was so awkward that I became sober.”
“It’s not my fault my radio doesn’t work okay?”
You both laughed.
“So about before-”
“Can you let me get drunk before we talk about it? I have a lot I want to say too.”
“Yeah, I’ll drink with you. Cheers.”
The wind took over again as you downed the bottle.
“Okay.”
“Joon was right. You’re a lightweight.”
“Hey! I was already half drunk before before okay? So this doesn’t count. Actually nothing I say from here on out counts if  you don’t want it to.”
A rush of anxiousness flipped your stomach. You took a deep breath.
“I like you! I know you have girls that look like models who like you and I know you probably don’t like me back, and I know my world’s going to end when you reject me but I couldn’t hold i-”
“I like you too.”
“-t back any more and what?”
Didhejustsayhelikedmeohmygodwhatiwasntexpectingthiswhatdoidonow?
“I like you too.”
Imdrunkrightnowandthisisn’trealandimprobablyhallucinatingshitmymomtoldmethiswouldhappen.
“What?”
“Y/n. Come on! I kissed you for a reason. What did you think that was?”
“A drunk accidental makeout session that you would regret tomorrow.”
“Y/n. I’ve liked you ever since we started hanging out with Kook together. I thought he already told you since you guys are best friends.”
Euphoria was the closest thing to what you felt. Euphoria, along with a constant feeling of wanting to throw up, of course.
“Wait. He didn’t tell me. Wait did he tell you that I liked you?”
“No.”
“That little shit,” both of you exclaimed together.
“Damn. Who knew he was such a good secret keeper?”
“He could have told us before though,” grumbled Taehyung, pouting. “I could have done this sooner.”
“Done wha-”
Suddenly, you were interrupted my his lips crashing onto yours. Your eyes opened wide for a second, but fluttered shut as his hands cupped the nape of your neck. “You….” You relaxed your body as his lips became more gentle. Leaning forward, Taehyung pressed his body against yours, deepening the kiss. “...are so….” His hands went down to your wrists. Before you knew it, he had you pinned down under him. His eyes roamed all over you hungrily. “...fucking gorgeous….”
For a quick moment, his face softened. “You’re art. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
“Just kiss me, you idiot.”
You lifted your lips up to his.
He broke it.
“But….”
“Climb back through that window.”
“Huh?” “Go to the damn bed y/n.”
“Has anyone told you that you that you’re really hot when you’re horny?”
“Hahah look who’s getting confident.”
“Listen about that first kiss, I was really unprepared and like-”
“Do I look like I care about the first kiss right now y/n?”
“Noted.”
You put one of your legs through the window. You heard a moan behind you.
You turned around. “What?”
“Oh my fucking god, I need you right now.”
“Well then, I’m going to take my time.”
Taehyung groaned. “Why are you doing this to me?”
You felt a knot start to form in your stomach.
Hurrying through the window, you took off your heels and fell backwards onto the bed.
Taehyung scrambled through the window, never taking his gaze off of you.
“You’re finally mine.”
                                                        …
Sunlight filtered through the curtains, covering you in a white haze. Feeling groggy, you carefully opened your eyes. Your head was pounding.
God, I must have a lot to drink yesterday night.
Lifting your head up, you rapidly blinked.
This isn’t my room. Oh wait. Bunny poster. It’s Kooks. Phew.
“Wakey wakey, sunshine!”
“Jungkook! Oh god bless. For a second, I got scared I hooked up with someone or something.”
Jungkook smiled. “Nothing of the sort. You just stayed over in my room.”
“Is she awake yet?”
Taehyung peeked into the room as you lifted the covers above your head. “What the heck is he doing here? Pretend I’m asleep,” you whispered to Jungkook.
“I can hear you y/n. And what do you mean what am I doing here? Don’t you remember?”
“Fuck. I knew I shouldn’t have drunk alcohol. What did I do now? Wait, let me think for a second. The last thing I remember is….”
“Joon was right. You’re a lightweight.”
“I like you too.”
“That little shit!”
You looked over to Jungkook, with your mouth agape. “You lied to me.”
Jungkook laughed. “I told you you’d end up sleeping with him.”
“Oh my god, Tae get out of here.”
“Not a chance, y/n.”
“Jungkook, my god. You were playing both of us, I swear to god.”
“Hey hey hey. I’m the one that got you guys together okay? If I hadn’t left you two alone, you’d have never done it. Gosh, both of you were always whining so much about how much you liked each other.”
You blushed. Taehyung scratched the back of his neck. “Yah, maknae. Don’t forget. I’m older than you.”
“Anyways, now it’s your turn. Set me up on a blind date with one of your hot friends. Thank you! Oh, also, breakfast is ready. Everyone in this frat is a drunk mess other than me and hyung. I’m going to leave you two alone now. Have a heart to heart or do whatever you want, but please, for god’s sakes, don’t fuck on my bed.”
“JUNGKOOK,” you and Taehyung both shouted at the same time.
“Get out of here, you punk,” said Tae, jokingly swatting at him.
The door clicked shut behind him.
“Hi.”
“Hey.”
“How are you, y/n? You feel okay?”
“What do you think?”
“I bought you some aspirin and water.”
You laughed. “Thank you.”
You looked at each other for a few seconds. “You don’t-”
“Will you-”
“Hahah, you can go first,” Taehyung said.
“You don’t regret last night? Everything that happened?”
“Never.”
A bright smile lit up your face. “Your turn.”
“Y/n. Do you want to be my girlfriend?”
“Say yes,” came a muffled response from out of the door.
“JUNGKOOK!”

Thanks, Wade.
Finally, someone other than Dawna has given me an idea to run with! Thanks so much to @ceylon-morphe286 !! You’re an absolute sweetheart and I had so much fun working with you to create this piece!! (Also, I know Deadpool doesn’t hurt kids, but for comedic purposes let’s just say he does. And, clearly, he’s a good enough marksman to miss on purpose, so he could be fucking with you.)
The battle was quite graphic, you honestly don’t know how you got in the middle of it. One second, you were strolling around the city, listening to Danger Days, the next you were in danger. A boulder flies at your head, and you’re shoved out of the way.
“Hey, dumbass, are you trying to get yourself killed?!”
“You saved me,” you say, gaping at the angel in front of you.
“Kind of my job, shit-for-brains.”
“Thank you, for saving my life and all,” is all you have to say.
“We’ve been over this. It’s what I do. Weirdo. Scram!”
-
“Agh! What did I do?!” You question the red-suited superhero-looking guy who’s currently shooting at you.
“You bought the last chocolate chip cookie!” he yells back, chasing you through the streets.
Until you’re clipped by a bus.
“Oh my god, she fuckin’ dead,” Wade references a Vine.
“Deadpool!” Your rescuer from the other day groans, recognizing you. “I just saved her life, could you try not ending it?”
“B..but my cookie…”
“Who gives a fuck?” She asks him, before turning her attention to you. “Where are you hurt?”
“I, uh… I might have a bruise on my shin?”
She looks at you critically, and when she helps you up, her hand touching yours, even for a second, makes you blush.
“You’re really lucky you’re not, y’know, dead. That bus was speeding and ran a red light,” She explains, and you barely manage to hear her, too focused on her face. “What’s with that dopey expression of yours? You don’t have a concussion, do you? I don’t want to deal with that.”
“Um… N-no concussion, I don’t think…”
“Good. Well, uh, see you around, I guess. Since you keep getting in danger and all.”
-
You were helping your cousin’s girl scout troop sell cookies by supervising them as they went door to door when the apartment you were in lit up in flames. All that was there was a Janitor’s cart, and the fire was getting closer and closer. It was blocking your way to the door, but you were close to the window.
“Toss the cleaners out the window so they don’t blow up,” you tell the girls, not even sure where that came from. Fire department is taking too long. “Hey, you guys learned how to braid, right?”
The girls, all terrified, nod. You offer them giant rolls of toilet paper. “Let’s get closer to the window, and we can braid it tight, long, and fast, okay? And then we’ll braid those braids together, to make a rope.”
You and the four girls you’re with work as hard as you can. The fire department gets there once you’re done, and the girls climb down the rope and safely land on the trampoline. They can only get down one at a time, and you’re sure you weigh as much as at the very least one and a half of them.
You accept your fate, glad you could at least help the little girls get to safety when she comes in.
“It’s about time I introduced myself, considering I’ve saved your stupid ass so many times. Negasonic Teenage Warhead.”
“Is that your real name?”
“Fuck no! What kind of shitty ass parents do you think I have? Come on, I’m fireproof, I’ll help you get to safety, whatever your probably dumb and totally not a cool code-name name is.”
“Y/N,” you tell her.
Damn it, why’s she gotta have a name as pretty as her face? Ellie thinks, taking your hand and leading you out of the flames, tossing flaming wreckage out of the way and allowing you to escape.
-
“Are you trying to kill yourself?” She asks.
“No, I was looking at the sunset. And then I fell.”
She snickers cruelly at this as her mentor reaches down and plucks you from where you dangle off the edge of your roof.
“Young one, there are many resources if you are feeling sad. This is not a solution.”
“I’m not trying to kill myself, I promise!” You inform them. “...I’m just clumsy, that’s all,” you add shyly.
-
You’re at the farmer’s market about to pluck an apple from a pyramid of fruits.
“Stop right there, Klutzy McGee, you’re not even touching that!” Deadpool stops you.
“Please don’t shoot me! There are plenty of other apples.”
“What? I’m not gonna shoot you, I’m gonna take you to your girlfriend!” He informs.
“I- I don’t have a girlfriend,” you tell DP, maybe he’s got you confused for someone else.
“Not yet!” He chirps, dragging you along by your wrist to a rather large home, well, a mansion. He knocks hard on the door and none other than Negasonic Teenage Warhead answers.
“I got your girlfriend!” He says cheerfully, and you blush deeply, but shake your head.
“She’s...Not my girlfriend.”
“Don’t be like that, Nega-hedgehog YA Novel Atomic Thing! You two would make a great couple!”
She looks at him skeptically, and then you, with a concerned expression. You realize you probably look like a tomato on steroids.
“You’re not going to spontaneously combust, are you? That gig’s kinda taken,” she informs you. ‘Do you want me to call the police?’ she mouths, and you shake your head.
“Ah, Deadpool and Y/N! Come in, have lunch!” Colossus says cheerfully.
You all eat BLTs, though Wade insists on having a knife with his to “feast upon it as the ancient lettuce-hunters would have.”
“So, Y/N, what would you like to do with your future?”
“I don’t know. I like helping people, maybe I’ll do something like be a nurse or a teacher.”
“Ooh, I like that!” Deadpool comments, gesturing with his steak knife and making you a little uneasy. You just know something bad is gonna happen with that knife.
“Ellie, pay attention,” Colossus requests, placing a hand on her shoulder. She shrugs it off, turning up the volume on her headphones to the point where you can hear it.
“You like MCR too?” You ask her.
“Uh, yeah… How can you hear this?”
“You have it cranked up really high,” you inform her.
“I can not hear it,” Piotr informs, and DP agrees. The two look curious.
“Oh, it’s nothing special. Just good hearing.”
“Well, damn. I was hoping you’d have an excuse to spend more time to spend with that grouchy teen over the-” He gestures towards Negasonic with the knife, and accidentally throws it at her face. You manage to catch it rather close to her face, gripping the blade. Blood drips down your wrist from your hand, and she looks at it with wide eyes, as does the rest of the group. “I stand corrected.”
“That is not normal, young one,” Colossus informs.
“Really? I’m sure she had no clue that it wasn’t completely fucking normal to catch knives thrown at people’s faces by a mercenary!” Deadpool snarks.
“Well done,” Ellie remarks, not to you, but to Wade’s sass skills.
“Have you always had such fast reflexes, Y/N?” Piotr asks.
“Uh, I mean, I guess. I would say I’ve been more, more lucky than anything.”
“But you’re always in trouble!” DP disagrees.
“And I’m not dead,” you point out.
“Ah…” Colossus sighs pensively.
Wade gets out one of his many knives from his belt and tosses it at Ellie. You catch this one as well, with your other hand.
“What the hell, Wilson?! Trying to kill me, now?”
“Not at all. Trying to get Y/N to save you. Ooh, watch this!” He aims so it’ll barely brush her shoulder, not that anyone else knows that when he shoots the pistol.
You catch the bullet between your wounded hands like a fly, feeling the burn.
“She’s totally a superhero, Iron Dick! Wait, that’s better for a different superhero in the Marvel universe, forget I said that one.”
“I’m not a superhero, I can barely take care of myself, let alone save people.”
“You saved Ellie three times from one of the best hit men in the world.”
“Well, I only saved her because-”
“Because you want to fuck her!” Wade cuts you off, and you look scandalized, a blush creeping onto your cheeks. Piotr and Ellie look at him like he’s insane, which he is, but- “What?! I see the goo-goo eyes Y/N gives her when she rescues her. I see the way Ellie looks at Y/N’s ass! Someone had to say something!”
You wish the ground underneath you would just vanish, you’re so embarrassed by his words that you don’t even notice his comment about Ellie checking you out.
“Y/N, would you like to join us? You are a gifted young girl and...”
“In case you missed the sign, this is kind of a place for gifted young people,” Wade finishes.
“I- I don’t really think I can help you, I’m sorry,” you deny his request.
“You can. I saw what you did for those girl scouts, and you said you wanted to help people earlier, right?” So, she was listening.
At Ellie’s insistence, you decide: “Oh.. Okay.”
“Yes! Another moody teen to annoy! Finally! I can’t get a rise out of any of the others!”
“Let us take you to the infirmary,” Piotr says.
“I’ll do it,” Ellie offers, walking you down the halls of the surprisingly quiet school. Deadpool follows closely behind, wanting to hear every detail of his OTP’s conversation.
The nurse, a mutant with the power to heal others, quickly fixes your wounds.
“Thanks for doing that, earlier. Saving me, I mean.” “W-well, I mean, I had to make it up to you s-somehow. All- All those times y-you saved me, I mean…” You tell her, more shy now that it’s pretty much just the two of you. You stand, walking over to the sink to wash the gunpowder off your hands. You lean against the counter, but you slip on a stray glob of  hand-sanitizer that happened to be on the floor, grabbing onto a cot for purchase and trying to get up only causing you to slip more and more until you give up and let your face smush into the hardwood floor.
Ellie giggles at this, and you swear she sounds like an angel when she laughs.
You get up, rubbing your nose.
“Y’know, if you want to be one of the big shots like Colossus or whatever, you’re gonna have to be a lot less clumsy than that.”
Wade crashes into the infirmary. “Y’all having sex yet? I brought popcorn and dental dams!”
You and Ellie both look at him, like ‘WTF DUDE I’M TRYING BUT YOU KEEP COCK-BLOCKING!’
“Uh… I’m gonna go make some chimichangas. Lucky by Britney Spears, you better confess to Moody Teen Number Three before she puts those earbuds back in!” He dashes away.
“Why does he feel the need to play Fairy God-merc?” You ask her pitifully.
“Confess what to me…?” she asks you.
“Um- Uh- I- I killed the Easter Bunny!” You sigh, isntead deciding to tell the truth: “No, uh… I like you. LIke, uh, like-like you. I think you’re really pretty and mysterious and funny, and, I’m not really any of those things, so it’s cool if you don’t feel that way about me, but-”
She laughs at you, like it’s so funny that someone as horrid as you would like her. “You..Like me?”
“Yeah, it’s dumb, I know, sorry for wasting your ti-” Ellie grabs your arm as soon as you turn around, and kisses you.
Oh, you think. Thanks, Wade.

1-2 Titan Symphony: ODM Gear
Again, apologies for the spam.
If you want to blacklist these, you can use either the tag #titan symphony for just this event, or #xdu event scripts for all these posts in general.
Reminder that these are copied straight from XD Unlimited itself, so any grammatical weirdness, mistranslations, and/or mischaracterizations are not my doing.
Tumblr media
Levi: "We should try and avoid the Titans as much as we can. That'll give us the best chance of reaching the rift."
Levi: "In the event that we run into any, we'll do our best to run. If we can't, then we'll annihilate them."
Mikasa & Eren & Armin: "Yes, Sir!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "We're also heading to the rift. It would make sense to make our way there together."
Chris Yukine: "That's right. We should probably be able to make it there without running into any--"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Titan! There, behind that building!"
Chris Yukine: "I just had to jinx it!"
Levi: "Time to wipe it out. Let's go!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Aaaaah!"
Armin: "So that's a Symphogear... Incredible! I've never seen anything like it!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "My attacks are connecting, but I can't reach its nape!"
Mikasa: "Leave it to me, I'll finish this!"
Chris Yukine: "That's that, then. Man, their gear sure is something. She managed to slice its nape like it was nothing."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "We three should perhaps weaken them first, and leave any finishing blows to the Scouts."
Levi: "Fine by me. Let's move out."
Eren: "Yes, Sir!"
Hibiki Tachibana: (That's such an efficient way of doing things...)
Hibiki Tachibana: (They said we can't battle with a half-hearted attitude. This kind of fighting must be part of their everyday lives...)
Tumblr media
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Okay, our journey should be smooth sailing from here. The cliff is just across these plains."
Levi: "Plains... This could be troublesome."
Chris Yukine: "Troublesome?"
Armin: "Yeah, you see--"
Chris Yukine: "More of them?!"
Levi: "There's no use complaining. Let's just take them out."
Hibiki Tachibana: "We've got your back!"
Chris Yukine: "Agh! What happened to you guys? Is your gear broken or something?!"
Armin: "In order to use the ODM gear properly, we need a solid surface to anchor the wires in."
Armin: "These plains are completely flat, see? There's nothing to use as anchor points, so we can't move very well."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "I see. So even the ODM gear has a weakness."
Mikasa: "That doesn't mean we can't fight. We'll just have to anchor our wires onto the Titans themselves!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yeah! Nice job, guys!"
Armin: "We can't relax just yet! Even more Titans are coming!"
Levi: "Damn it. There are so many Titans coming to this world."
Chris Yukine: "They're gonna surround us if we don't do something!"
Levi: "We have to make it over into that cluster of trees. We'll need to fight our way there."
Eren: "......"
Mikasa: "What's the matter, Eren?"
Eren: "Lieutenant, we won't get anywhere like this. Please, give me permission to handle this."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Handle this? Permission?"
Levi: "This is quite the emergency, I suppose... Fine. Use your best judgement, Eren."
Eren: "Yes, Sir! I'll open a path for us!"
Mikasa: "Wait, Eren! There's too many of them!"
Eren: "What other choice do we have, Mikasa?"
Mikasa: "...I understand. I'll be right behind you."
Eren: "Okay! I'm coming for you, Titans!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What--?! Did he just bite his own hand?!"
Chris Yukine: "What the--?!
Tumblr media
Hibiki Tachibana: "He turned into a... A Titan?!"
Chris Yukine: "How's that even possible?!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What incredible power. He moves differently from the other Titans, too."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Is he still thinking for himself in there?"
Armin: "Yes, he is. Without a doubt, that's Eren, all right!"
Levi: "Enough zoning out. Look, he's broken through! Now's our chance!"
Chris Yukine: "R-Roger that. We'll take care of any Titans who dare come near us!"
Armin: "Yes, we made it to safety!"
Mikasa: "No! Eren's..."
Armin: "He got knock down by the Titans!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "There are so many, he can barely move!"
Levi: "Rgh... He attracted way too many."
Mikasa: "Leave him alone!"
Mikasa: "Gah! There's so many of them... At this rate--"
Hibiki Tachibana: "Haaaaah!"
Armin: "She took out all the Titans around Eren?! What incredible power!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "He's too big! I can't move him! What are we gonna do--"
Chris Yukine: "Stop rushing into things without thinking, you idiot!"
Mikasa: "Leave it to me!"
Chris Yukine: "No,, stop! That's your friend!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "Wait, Chris[1]. She's cutting him out from inside, see?"
Levi: "We got him out safely. Let's retreat, quickly!"
Tumblr media
Levi: "Has he come to yet?"
Mikasa: "Not yet..."
Armin: "It sure was a struggle getting through the plains with all those Titans around."
Levi: "You may be right. In any case, there's nothing we can do but retreat while Eren's in this state."
Chris Yukine: "You've got a lot of explaining to do when we get back."
Armin: "Of course. At least, we'll explain what we can..."
Armin: "Hm?"
Hibiki Tachibana: "What's wrong?"
Armin: "I thought I heard someone's voice..."
Boy[2]: "Help! Somebody, help me!"
Chris Yukine: "It's a survivor!"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "He's being followed by Titans!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "We have to help him!"
Mikasa: "Take this!"
Boy: D-Did you get rid of that T-Titan?! Man, you really saved me there..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "You're safe now. Are there any others with you?"
Boy: "No... The others, they all... The Titans..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I see... In that case, come with us. You can take refuge in S.O.N.G. HQ."
Boy: Did you say S.O.N.G.?! That must mean..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "You know about S.O.N.G.? Actually, now that I think about it, I've seen those clothes somewhere before..."
Boy: "N-No, you're mistaken! I-It's not like I'm not some Alchemist or anything..."
Chris Yukine: "Oh, cut it out. This has to be the guy the islander was talking about, right?"
Tsubasa Kazanari: "It seems so. Let's get him to HQ."
Tumblr media
Genjuro Kazanari: "Well done, you three. You were right. This is who the islander was talking about."
Chris Yukine: "Well, he pretty much gave it away himself."
Genjuro Kazanari: "It's very likely that he knows something about the root cause of all of this."
Genjuro Kazanari: "He's not saying much right now, but I'm sure I can get him to talk. You should all rest up until then."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Yes, Master."
Tumblr media
Hibiki Tachibana: "Is he awake?"
Armin: "No, he's still asleep. He took quite a lot of damage, so he'll probably be out for a while."
Hibiki Tachibana: "I see..."
Mikasa: "You. Before I forget. Thank you for saving Eren."
Armin: "Yes, thank you so much. Things would have been much worse, had you not been there."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Don't mention it! Besides, you've done more than your fair share of helping us out, too!"
Levi: "I did initially suspect that you had ulterior motives, but..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Does that mean you'll trust us?"
Levi: "I doubt that any of you have any sort of motive whatsoever, in fact, other than helping others."
Chris Yukine: "Hey, that's not fair! Don't lump me in with this dumbass!"
Hibiki Tachibana: "There you go again, being so humble."
Levi: "This isn't the time for pleasantries, who the hell was that "Alchemist" guy?"
Chris Yukine: "I'll explain, but in return, you have to tell us about that Titan transformation. Can you all do that?"
Armin: "No, it's just Eren. I'll explain what we know so far."
Tsubasa Kazanari: (We may not have achieved our objective, but it seems this mission wasn't a complete failure after all...)
Genjuro Kazanari: "I finally got a testimony out of our new friend."
Genjuro Kazanari: "He's an Alchemist from the Bavarian Illuminati. It looks like that were behind this incident."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "So they were connected to all of this after all."
Elfnein: "Indeed. Their goal was the subject of a Titan Island legend, the Bones of the Titan King."[3]
Chris Yukine" Huh? Those crusty old bones?"
Elfnein: "The islanders have long feared them as Titan bones, making them ideal for philosophical armament conversion."
Elfnein: "It appears the illuminati disseminated information on the web to artificially heighten the islanders' fear."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "So they were trying to create their own philosophical armament, then?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Yes. And what's more, it looks like through the power of alchemy, that plan was a success."
Genjuro Kazanari: "They intended to harness the bones' potential as a philosophical armament to create Titans for military use."
Chris Yukine: "So just another stupid, annoying plan, then."
Elfnein: "However, while they succeeded in creating the armament itself, its power was far greater than predicted."
Elfnein: "Now, this is speculation on my part, but it would seem that this power was too much for them to control."
Elfnein: "I believe that loss of control resulted in our world linking up with a parallel world filled with Titans."
Levi: "You're talking about the rift."
Armin: "So that would be the reason why we got mixed up in this mess, then...”
Genjuro Kazanari: "Unfortunately, yes, that's the gist of it."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Our Alchemist friend survived by creating a barrier somehow, but he clearly couldn't keep it up any longer."
Levi: "How nice for him, keeping himself safe even after dragging strangers into his mess."
Levi: "Let's see how long he'll survive after I get my hands on him..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "I can't let you do that. You can rest assured that our judicial system won't go easy on him, though."
Levi: "Guh..."
Chris Yukine: "So that Colossal Titan really did come through the rift, then?"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Not quite, according to the testimony we procured..."
Genjuro Kazanari: "He said that one of the Titans that came through the rift managed to swallow the Bones of the Titan King."
Genjuro Kazanari: "Due to the bones' unbelievable power, it transformed into the Colossal Titan you saw before."
Tsubasa Kazanari: "What?! You're saying there's a philosophical armament inside that thing?!"
Levi: "It looked the same at first glance, but that Titan did seem different to the one back in our world."
Genjuro Kazanari: "In any case, we can gather from this that in order for the Scouts to return home, we have to fix this mess."
Genjuro Kazanari: "We need to destroy that Titan and recover the armament. Once the Scouts return home, we'll destroy it."
Genjuro Kazanari: "That'll be the order of business."
Hibiki Tachibana: "That means that one way or another, we're absolutely going to have to fight the Colossal Titan, right?"
Eren: "Let's start hunting that thing down, then."
Mikasa: "Eren, you're awake?"
Eren: "Let's go..."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Seriously? You can't even walk straight! You need to rest up and regain your strength!"
Eren: "This has nothing to do with you..."
Armin: "Eren, you're not going anywhere."
Eren: "Armin..."
Mikasa: "Armin's right. Even if you did go, how far do you think you'd get?"
Levi: "It'll be nightfall before long, too. That'll make fighting unnecessarily difficult."
Eren: "......"
Genjuro Kazanari: "Why not rest here for the night? We have plenty of food and places to sleep."
Armin: "That's very generous of you."
Hibiki Tachibana: "Okay then, I'll show you to the cafeteria. I'm dying for some food right about now!"
Notes:
[1] Sometimes the English version inserts other characters' names and goes with the wrong form of address. Tsubasa refers to most characters by their last names, with a few exceptions like Kanade or Maria, and therefore always refers to Chris as "Yukine"
[2] Original text said 男性 which technically could be used for boy, but should have been translated as “man” since the person in question is an adult. One can only assume the translator didn’t have that context and chose the wrong meaning.
