ive posted about it before but in my halfbaked threshold au future ideas i envision philippa having a lil story before FAT squad surrounding her and her sister’s contentious relationship (its at its worst around now, peppa cant stand amelia, shes succeeding at everything blah blah blah) involving the DTI recruiting her and the collapse of the Endgame timeline, so like pip’s an ensign, 20-25-ish i forget what time it is for the admiral but i think about that timeline ending shortly after the admiral goes back to chance things. and the story also involving the endgame timeline’s version of Amelia where shes searching for her sister in the DQ (see Lesson Plans???) but gets involved with the Krenim. and i think the DTI recruiting philippa bc that timeline was supposed to vanish and it hasnt bc of the krenim tamporing with things, the DTI wanting to use philippa against the alternate timeline’s version of her sister or to convince her to stop manipulating the timeline, its causing problems. maybe the goal is to make it the true timeline or whatever they call it and DTI is trying to prevent that. figure theyd keep philippa pretty in the dark tho like only telling her what she wants to hear, leaving out that shes gotta stop this version of her sister to save the universe or something idk. anyway i figure everything does end up leading to her needing to kill amelia, or amelia dies and everything is salvaged, idk what i like more but philippa gets a little ptsd from it and very likely gets this broadened perspective about amelia from it.

so in FAT arc when amelia years later eventually disappears on a mission to the DQ, philippa has this heightened sense of what amelia is like and why she’d run away or not be okay, and shes in the DQ with no contact home. so i think philippa would be worried about amelia potentially falling into the hands of the krenim like the endgame timeline’s version of her. and i think shed also simply dread the thought of having to deal with her actual sister dying. so she decides to find her. :)

What attracts you to Imotohan? Idk if I get it yet….

Today is not that day; instead, you get a collection of references to other posts that I found when I couldn't sleep last night.

Reason Number 1: I really like enemies to lovers as a trope.

I always have, ever since I started reading fanfic way back in the day with Kim/Shego lol. But I especially love when two characters allow me to totally buck the more traditional power dynamics of one party having all the power while the other has none, which I find boring and not at all fun to explore.

At first glance, Otohan does have the upper hand a lot of the time in their dynamic (I mean, hell, they start out by slaughtering half of Imogen's friends and the love of her life). But it’s pretty easy (and very fun) to give Imogen opportunities to be on equal footing with Otohan or even surpass them entirely. And the Tension that comes with exploring two characters who hate each other but can��t help but be attracted to each other is just what I find the most interesting and fun to explore in my own writing in particular.

A nice little ask about characterization and violence.

Reason Number 2: They’re obsessed with each other.

To the point that the cast themself see it and take advantage of it in-game (see here, when Sam pulled 'the one you're so keen to meet with' out of his ass, assumedly failed a deception check, and yet Otohan still either humored them or just zeroed in on 'Imogen? Where's Imogen? Tell me where Imogen is' anyway like a fucking simp.)

Otohan in particular also displays a frankly terrifying amount of ‘care’ and effort in getting Imogen to exalt in the battle at Bassuras, which I talk more about here. It’s what kicked off my intrigue with this ship and got me to try my hand and writing them (and then never stopped, as you can see).

Imogen, for her part, is just understandably terrified of but also constantly infuriated with Otohan (shitpost that shows that well). She says Otohan’s name with such vitriol and I adore her for it. Very ‘I’m gonna punch you in the mouth with my own mouth’ energy.

Here’s some video clips that show off their actual in-game dynamic really well, this one brilliantly set to My Kink is Karma (thank you @corkulous) and another to Death of Me (a million thanks to @lavendertheys).

Reason Number 3: They push each other’s buttons really damn well.

Arguably the most important thing in a ship for me after Tension.

We saw Otohan lose their patience exactly once, in my opinion, during the final battle when they called Imogen a ‘bitch,’ and as I said in this post, I think Imogen deserved so many more opportunities to rile Otohan up like that, especially in actual conversation as opposed to combat. She’s just so good at it, by golly, and if I can't see it in canon I can at least write about it.

And I mean, Otohan got Imogen to exalt (the only time she has done so, to my knowledge) and blow up a whole city block; I think it's safe to say they can get under her skin if they work at it, and I wish they had even more horrible opportunities to do so in canon before they kicked the bucket.

Anyways, that's the gist of what attracts me to Imotohan. If you don't get it, then the ship might just not be for you, which is totally fine—to each their own! Thanks for giving me an excuse to yap about themb~

the older isafrin designs were moreso. i wanted to have a little fun and made them. lawl. but now i get an excuse to share anyway :) so here!!

numbered the details to make it a lil easier. also dont mind these r quick scribbles,,

1- general outfits and stuff. siffrins i wanted to keep mostly similar to how i usually draw them. sleeveless top, horrible and unnecessary amount of belts,, knowing that hes maybe not as eager to change as some others might be. they are comfortable in their style and thats what matters. for isabeau i wanted to keep a familiar vibe, but still change it up. i think he would still wear clothes that are flowy-er etc etc, buuut yeayeayea. not an outfits guy really so jfkf theyre pretty simple.

2- themb!! they look different! siffrins hair is longer obv obv, and no lightless dye anymore. they tie it back usually, but he still likes it long. also some facial hair. important to me. (you may also notice lack of eyepatch,, personal hc that siffrin gets more comfortable without it after making up with bonnie some more. that he maybe depending on it a lot because he thought it would make them uncomfortable, which theyyy dont have to worry about. anymore! so less eyepatch. sometimes still though). isa on the other hand looks mooostly the same! except. ofc. bigger beard. you guys should know i love my beards by now. lawl. other than that mostly the same,, physical pain in me trying to think of a different hairstyle for him… maybe in the future but for now he gets This.

3- new cloak-thing for sif! his regular cloak is probably much more well suited for the travelling lifestyle, much less the domestic stay-at-home lifestyle, soo they changed it up! (and totally not an excuse for isabeau to try out craft stitching nooo definitely not as practice for the future whaat who said that.) they will still wear the old cloak occasionally, buuut not as often as they used to.

4- finally! bonding earrings!!! yes! the designs themselves are pretty simple. squares and change symbols for the design sif made for isa, and a star with bits that go ding-ding that isa made for sif. more importantly, siffrin carved the earrings himself! it is. hard. to do that. a design that is so small. there were many failed attempts and scraped ideas but they got it done! and isa loves them very much. for isas design, the main star part is glass, and the dangling bits are carved gems (picture isabeau, panicking because this is siffrin hes making these for so it needs to be perfect. and he gets odile to help him, because despite all the teasing she is ofc very fond, and helps him out with that aspect of the design.)

Snaps nuzzles and hold earns him a sweet hum and a wet bun filled lap. Seabun's free hand winds around Snaps shoulders, the one on his face sliding back with Snaps movement to cradle his skull.

He knows he shouldn’t be out of the water for too long. While capable of parsing oxygen from air instead of water, his lungs are weak with virtually no practice. He’d never had a reason before.

But still he hums in pleasure, cuddling back into the beautiful skeleton while his skin shifts a little under Snaps hands, his tendrils puffing up just enough to twist with his phalanges.

It’s both comfortable and uncomfortable, but the urgency of water isn’t nearly strong enough to pull him away when he feels his skeletal possible mate relax into slumber.

He’s happy to hold him and be held for as long as he can. Quiet pleased hums vibrating his chest while he cuddles his head down into Snaps skull, his ears coming to gentle stroke and scent him.

Eventually the call for water is strong though, his flesh starting to feel dry and wrong while his mind feels tired with its limited oxygen.

So he snuggles a little closer, easing Snaps back awake with little affectionate nudges. He gives Snaps' skull a familiar, though not from Seabun specifically, chaste kiss before he scoots his way back to the water and gladly accepts any help from Snaps to slide back in.

He’s puffy and soft the instant he’s submerged again, golden eyes bright and face pleased in soft pink that gives a lilac hue.

Seabunny!Kelek spying on land!Snaps from the water after he sees him one day. Just thinks he's really neat. Does his best to stay hidden b/c he's a silly mer creature, but he's not the fastest. I imagine Snaps is p tuned into his environment, especially when scouting, so I doubt he's unaware of his little water shadow for long at all. Maybe doesn't know /what/ it is, but its not actually bothering him so whatever.

Seabun is just completely enamored. So he does what silly mer people do and finds a v pretty opalized wood or fossil. Probably super nervous b/c he's not sure he can hide fast enough. But he waits till Snaps is around again before he sneaks up and then.

Snaps most likely sees his goofy tail and maybe even his bright pink booty gills whoosh behind a rock formation. Moments later Seabun peaks out from a different spot in the formation to watch what he does.

Thinking abt Carmilla.... I think they're not aware of their emotions like... at all until the PC meets them. A quick way to increase love in small increments would probably be encouraging them to think about how they feel/point out little tells about their emotions so they can start identifying their feelings as well :) Oblivious creature. So I know I said it'd go either way... But in the end, I actually think they'd be good for each other.

- in the beginning it's def at each other's throats, not admitting they like each other

- but both of them are very protective in their own ways. Jimmy makes sure his guys are watching over Roddy if he's not around, and Roddy will fight anyone who dares to touch him. But he'll just say it's because he wants a fight. No other reason.

- they probably admit to liking each other when one of their arguments becomes too heated and it's more of rough hate making out and ~other stuff~

- they'd be kinky as hell. SORRY HAHA. Roddy loves man handling him, and as much as Jimmy squeaks, he loves it

- But when either of them are off or sad... The other one knows deep in their bones. They'd talk to each other in soft hushes and whispers, being gentle as can be. Many supportive touches and pats.

- theyd also support each other a lot. They're both in general very loving and supportive of the folks they care about

- also they're both energetic as hell. If someone gets both of them goin, well... Chaos is a comin'

Jimmy Hart x Hulk Hogan

THE TOXIC SHIP. This is gonna break my heart to write ugh

- Who doesn't look up to Hogan? No one says no to him, and Jimmy wouldn't either. Star struck to be taken under his wing and the money ain't too bad either

- and at first it's real good. He takes care of him, treats him real well.

- not sure who would admit it first, but once they're together... That's when it gets bad

- he treats Jimmy like a piece of meat is probably the best way I could describe it. It's all about Hogan, rather than them being together. Jimmy is a trophy to him

- and maybe, Jimmy would try to leave. Everyone telling him to. But he loves the oaf and he loves hard. Plus, I'm sure Hogan would threaten him if he ever left - but Jimmy just convinces himself that that's his way of showing how much he cares

- Also I don't think Hogan knows how to be gentle. Like there's no sweetness to him, and Jimmy needs that sometimes. Underneath that sparky exterior, is still some fluffiness from his early days. Hogan is not a cuddler, so a lot of the times I think Jimmy would feel incredibly lonely

- I think both of them need different things spiritually that neither of them can fulfill for each other

- There is so much eye fluttering and cuteness and everyone can see it except Jimmy. He's the last one to find out his feelings

- Adrian keeps dancing around it, flirting, being very not subtle, but Jimmy is uh. One brain cell man.

- Adrian makes the first move and Jimmy is so confused. Like he wants it, wants Adrian so bad, but is that right? He should be focusing on work, not this amazing loveable man before him-

- and before long , Jimmy is happily a puppy dog for Adrian. And Adrian never abuses that. Teases and taunts him for sure, but never abuses. Adrian keeps him safe, they're constantly together. They talk about everything under the sun.

cant stop thinking abt tango being condescending to Jimmy. pinning jimmy against a wall and watching him squirm as he teases him. voice low, being almost rude to Jimmy with the things hes saying. jimmy loves it of course, as much as he loves tango being soft and sweet and so caring.

he just loves when tango treats him roughly. treats him like the dirt beneath his feet. especially the things tango says to him and the way tango disregards his comfort and what he thinks.

tango needs a lot of reassurance after scenes like that, he always feels a little guilty after once hes outta that headspace.

Tango was a little hesitant at first before noticing how red and hard Jimmy got so he'd push on, being mean, snarky, aggressive <3 Jimmy takes it all and then some as he's a giant mess afterwards :3c

Of course aftercare is extremely important after scenes like this as Tango gets really in his head about how horrible he treated his partner, feeling a little sick sometimes, despite this being exactly what Jim wanted. If it get extremely rough especially during the scene, it may be a week or so before Tango is up for doing it again and Jimmy totally understands and respects him <333 I love themb so much

These are the characters of a possible rpg game I've been thinking about called Cricket's Attic

The basic plot of this story is Cricket finds a small door in her attic, after crawling inside she finds herself in another magical world but the door locked behind her! Now she has to help defeat the dark witch to get back home. (Yes childish but who cares lol)

The characters are

Cricket ; the protagonist, she uses her favorite stuffed bear Bim-Bim as a weapon (not depicted bc these took way too long). She's just having fun

Fiona ; A catgirl warrior who joins Cricket to protect her, she's kind and caring and damn strong since she comes from a warrior family (all of her siblings are the knights who protect their town)

Wisteria ; A mushroom person cleric who's lives by themself in the woods, they join the group bc they were lonely. They're bad with interaction and is pretty anxious about doing things wrong

Asher ; A cosmic being who's in a shit ton of gambling debt, he joins the group for adventure and totally not to possibly get money to fund his debt nooo no.

Eboni ; the main villain of Cricket's Attic who's slowly draining the color of the world, she's just evil for fun but that's okay <3

Will I ever actually make this a game? Who knows idk anything about game coding!! Maybe if I get help or bored I'll do it :]

Hello there this is not what I expected my first ask for you to be but here we are :D

The episode Gun for Chester in season three has lived rent free in my head for 24 hours now, specifically how Matt just willingly is going to get himself killed for Chester and then how Chester can yell for him to duck and he does and Chester can shoot the guy and I just fndksk the way they are a team!! The way they know each other so well they can do things like that!! The way they can trust each other!!! They are so gay your honour I love themb!!

I think my favorite Matt/Chester episode has to be that one where they go off to another town and try to buy a singular hotel room with a singular bed, and Chester keeps bothering Matt about going to go eat food, and they pretty much just spend the whole episode together, hotels rooms CONNECTED

i will find out what that episode is I love it dearly

currently reading: i've been having to read 3 poetry books per week for my graduate classes but like. for Fun i've been reading "sleeping giants" by sylvain neuvel, which is a rlly fun sci-fi written as if a collection of notes/interviews!! i've also been reading "what manner of man," which is a newsletter/serialized novel inspired by "dracula daily" about a priest going to an island inhabited by a vampire... and it's uhhhh perhaps a bit more spicy than the og dracula if u know what i mean ;;)))

most recent movie i watched: OH MAN UHHHH.... what WAS the last movie i watched?!?! it might've been emo: the musical, which is very dear to me and not on any streaming services cough. big comfort movie for me.

(also, this game doesn't ask, but i started listening to PODCASTS AGAIN... this time i'm working on the white vault, which is a horror fiction podcast written as a set of found notes/audio files. it's very very good)

RAM MY BELOVED hello hi happy Valentines (if you celebrate) hi

I just drove home while listening to my tomarry playlist and i need to tell you, i love themb so much and this song (Carnivore by Bear Attack! If the link doesnt work) is such a themb song and omg. I need to go reread love is touching souls. I need to finish typesetting it. I need to stop procrastinating buying printing materials and just bind it into a physical book. Themb.

But also, i was thinking about this fic thats currently sitting partially done in my google docs, thats endgame tomarry but currently drarry. And basic context: Harry becomes the DADA prof after a few years of being a failure of an auror and he and Ginny just finalized their divorce (nothing was Wrong Per Se, Ginny just realised shes a lesbian), and Hermione sets him up with Draco but theyre not really Great together theyre more just meh as a couple, but then Harry accidentally time travels back to 1945 (give ir take a few years) and teaches DADA during Tom's seventh year, and they get together and Harry knits Tom a Weasley sweater and etc etc etc BUT i couldnt figure out how to get them both back to The Present Day while not breaking up Harry and Draco BUT BUT BUT i realized i can just make it hella poly and itd still be cute!

Im telling you all of this as the person who got me into tomarry plus the first person i thought of when i put this playlist on, i hope this hinged-ness finds you well i love you <3

Love the idea of introducing someone else to the Tomarry relationship because we've all seen Tom and how he feels about sharing. Like I feel like any work with Tomarry + another character is like, 40% getting Tomarry together (all the Hurdles and Problems and such with those two) and then 60% Harry slowly making Tom stop hissing at whoever else because he has to share Harry with them and that's his soulmate. Yes even if he likes them too he's just Like That. He's so very not suited to polyamory, it would be extremely entertaining reading a fic trying to make it work.

I remember reading a fic back in Ye Olden Days that was a Drarry snippet with Severus looking in from the outside wishing he could be with Harry but Knowing Deep in his Soul that he was Wrong for him. I'd link it but I'm like 90% sure it was in french and I don't want to go looking through FFnet for it right now haha. Drarry just made me think of it. Oh and there was One good Drarry fic I loved, still in french, by and author who wrote banger after banger (all in french, yeah) on FFnet that introduced baby me to Supermassive Black Hole and the fact that you don't put two condoms on. It's Nothing Else Matters by Rose Malefoy if you want to look at the page and not understand the text haha (yes Malefoy with an e that's how it's spelt in french) Oh and my first Snarry was amnesiac Harry who was with Severus and forgets it so he gets into a relationship with Draco but then remembers and leaves him I think? It's been a while. I used to be into Drarry more but it's been years since I read some, since I discovered Snarry and all.

I think we should combine our poly Tomarry AUs to inflict the maximum amount of Situations on theses guys. Like throw in Draco throw in Severus and then let them take years and a lot of therapy to disentangle that mess and make a working polycule out of it. A bit like when you plop Sims in a house with full autonomy and wait for them to do something cool like starving themselves or making out with their brother's wife, except here I hope they'd figure it out and get a good ending at some point. Anyway.

Oh and in Tomarry news if you haven't tackled Draw me after you (let us run) by Toastranger you should go for it because now after about 200k words and 44 chapters Things have been Happening 👀 (I'm not subtle, they finally kissed is what happened) extremely fun fic, highly recommend once again. That said it is a time investment because I love long works

1 . What Made you ship them

Look at THEMB. its rare that I remember the exact moment that I absorb a ship into my heart but that one scene of them at Yok's Bar holding hands so casually and comfortingly that I was like. Yep. THEM.

2 . What are your favourite things about the ship

Despite the fact that I love how KinnPorsche flipped the script on the typical Bodyguard/Charge = Protector/Protectee - I am still a total sucker for the dynamic of someone becoming their counterpart's safe place in every sense. I think ArmTankhun fills that gap, less about the physical aspect but more about Arm analysing and acknowledging Tankhuns fears and then sweeping and debugging every room and explaining all the protocols in detail and making Tankhun feel safe in his home again.

I think that the fact that Arm is also a total weirdo is super underutilised as an element of the ship.

But IDK theres this one AO3 author thats really fucking nailed the dynamic you should all should definitely check them out <3

3 . Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

It's that their Autism 4 Autism swag is unmatched. Man did not memorise the speed of planes and bullets to be classed as the neurotypical one in the relationship. Sure it's projecting but it's also the highest honour I can bestow.

1 . What made you ship it?

Why dont you stay instumental ost playing in the background of the motorbike scene. That and the lighter thing 🔥. Hot Girl Shit. <3

2 . What are your favorite things about the ship?

I like that Vegas is possibly the most unreliable narrator in the whole show, and I think that you end up with a really fun tangled web of motivations, all of which vegas is lying to himself about: like wanting to be chosen over Kinn, wanting Porsche for Porsche, wanting to follow his father's orders, wanting to break his fathers rules and also the utterly fucked up wanting to hurt and break Kinn's shiny new toy just to feel something.

3 . Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I think that there are generally 2 camps when it comes to Vegas which are: 1. Vegas is a babygirl, he didnt *mean* to be bad and he would never have *really* assaulted Porsche or Pete and he should recieve love and shipping. and 2. Vegas is an awful human being and definitely was going to assault Porsche and Pete and therefore does not deserve a redemption arc and his ships suck.

And to that I say: Dont be a pussy. Vegas is awful and snakey and wildly problematic yet he and Porsche should definitely be allowed to fuck. Porsche was absolutely considering it. Obsessed with that wet little rat of a man. Love him.

OKAY SO I figured that since I still have to wait to pick up season 4 of MASH from the library, I’d make up a little thing about my thoughts so far! Paging @unmaskedcardinal @moinsbienquekaworu and @steine-druff !! And this is a little long so my apologies, I just have so many thoughts ahh this show is so good!!!

(also Ziggy pls note if you haven’t gotten through season 3 yet: this will contain spoilers!)

First I’d just like to give an update on my ships. I’m still heavily invested in Hawkeye/Radar, no surprise there, and honestly at this point I think I’m going down with this ship. It’s the intimacy and the clear respect and the whole knowing that the other will happily do whatever is needed and just !!!! Themb!!! They deserve good things!

But in terms of changes to my ships: Margaret deserves better than Frank. Like, so much better. At this point I’m getting pretty invested in Margaret/Trapper, because for all the teasing Trapper sends her way, when it comes down to it he really does respect her (shoutout to that episode where they got stuck in the supplies shed!) And idk, it just really feels like Frank idolizes her as this like, Ideal Woman, which she’s not and she clearly doesn’t want to be, and it’s been really nice to see her get fed up with him more and more often. And I absolutely love how she’s started to really trust Trapper and Hawkeye, I love that for her!! She deserves to have friends who will help her no matter what!!

I’ve also found myself in Hawkeye/Father Mulcahy territory after checking out the various ship tags on Ao3! Hawkeye/Radar is 100% my otp at this point, but I am fascinated by the dynamic between Hawkeye and Father Mulcahy, and tbch I’m really getting invested with each episode where they interact

Unfortunately I still have not met BJ, so I don’t yet have an opinion on hunnihawk. This will likely change once I’ve met him, of course!!

Okay so for things aside from shipping!!

That episode where Hawkeye is awake for like three days straight and just does shift after shift in the OR and ultimately has to be sedated haunts me. Particularly the scene where he sits on Radar’s desk and sings him I’ll Be Home for Christmas, just. The way he’s crying and it’s so. I don’t even know how to put it in words, that scene and that episode haunt my every waking thought and I love him so much and it was not fair at all that that episode made me cry like that

Speaking of episodes that made me cry! I loved and hated every single moment of the episode where Henry dies. I knew he died, I’ve known he dies since like halfway through season 1, and I still wasn’t ready. I really hoped that there would be more with him. I love him so much, I really loved how he was the father figure for everyone and he was so good, he’s such a great character and :(

Klinger is rapidly becoming one of my favourite characters too, and I just. He’s so relatable!! I really liked the episode where he finally landed a psych eval with Sid only to not get the discharge because he isn’t trans or gay and refused to sign that he was. I just!! As a man who’s been waiting to be far enough into his transition to wear dresses again without being misgendered, Klinger is just so so so relatable and I love him so so much!!

(tbch I really just love every character so much, so y’know. Every character gets the I love himb treatment lol)

I said this earlier but it bares repeating: I really love how Margaret has learned to trust Hawkeye and Trapper. Like, the fact that they were who she went to when that general died in her tent, and that she willingly shared her alcohol with them that time Frank outlawed alcohol entirely, and just! Her growth as a character has been so incredible to see, and I am so incredibly excited to see how she grows in future seasons!!

I’m kind of on the fence about Frank now. Idk he’s fascinating in that he really is such a gung-ho stereotypical American man to the point of it all being a farce, but also as the episodes go on he’s just getting more unhinged and not even in a good way. I’m not sure I’m correct on this but I don’t believe he’s in later seasons, so I’m really curious to see what happens to him? At this point I’m still in the love to hate him camp, but he’s also starting to just get annoying. That opinion will likely change again soon though, because every few episodes I’ve been flipping back and forth between liking and not liking him

And my final opinions: I’m so glad I discovered the option to remove the laugh track! It never really bothered me, but there is such a stark difference in how each episode hits when it’s not there at all, and omg wow. I already thought this was a fantastic show, I mean ofc, but without the laugh track it’s so stupendously better it’s just. There are no words. I’m going to have to go back to the first two seasons at the end and watch them again but without the laugh track, and I am so excited for that!

So all in all, I am still having the time of my life! Watching this show has really low key become one of my favourite parts of the day, and I’m just so in love with all the characters I just! They all deserve such good things!!! And here I am, having hardly written in ages, knee deep in fic drafts already!! Something something this sure is one of the most shows ever!!!
