FTL: If you're sure that that is the case, then alright. Can't say that I'm too sure how long a moon cycle even is, the moon is not always the most visible from where I am. Either way, I'm sure that a moon cycle is long enough. Do notify me when you've decided that it's been long enough.

FTL: Honestly it still amazes me on some level that there are Iterators who are autonomous. You won't be the first to visit me, LIFEGIVER's been here once already, but even then it's still rather incredible. I'm rather content with my state of being stationary, but before going into public communications, I'd never considered that there were those not stationary. Well, that's how learning happens.

First, I wish to apologize for my previous behavior. I didn't even hang up, simply left the line metaphorically rotyim. Everything about my behavior was incredibly rude. You do not have to forgive me: that you know I regret leaving you like that is enough.

Second, I wish to say I deeply regret the way my... associate, treated you. Spreading baseless rumors to disturb you was quite cruel of him, and I certainly should have attempted to stop him sooner. Do not worry, my friend, he will be punished for his actions.

If anything, I should be the one apologising for questioning your statements so much - even if I still think that that research was a heavily flawed concept and a completely redundant research topic. FTL: Why apologise for someone else's actions? Truth be told, it wasn't all that bothersome, mostly just... I suppose confusing would be the right word. Not for the contents of the message but rather for the question of 'why even send something like this?'. Speculations and rumours such as that have absolutely no point to them, and are made at the expense of anyone involved. Perhaps that's the whole point.

FTL: I will be honest here: I do not care. I do not care whether it's true or not. It's wouldn't change anything either way, so it doesn't even matter. Do not concern yourself over it too much.

Forgive my northern attitude (Oh, I was raised out in the cold) [Alaska/Califronia]

Alaska might have been born cold. He doesn't actually know, since Gov would mention that states aren't exactly born.

(He remembered Russia, he remembered people and cold. Maybe that was enough.)

The point is, he was never warm, no matter how much sun he felt or under how much fur he slept, he wasn't warm. Just wasn't made for it, really. His character was usually off-putting to most, he kept his distance, he stayed what he always wanted to be - a mystery to others.

And then he got closer to California.

The man was like a sun as a person, even if Florida fought for that tittle like a small rabid dog. Of course, if you'll ask anyone else, they'll can start talking and not stop about how annoying he is, how he's such a know-it-all.

All Alaska can think about is that when he held his face in his hands, California's eyes were squinted in a way that showed his happiness with ease that Alaska could never even imagine. He thought about the way California would then hide his face in his embrace, mumbling something about being embarrassed, but all he could hear was his own heartbeat, hitting hard and fast.

"Cal" he asked him to call him once. "In private or not."

And if the man would be fully honest with himself, he knew that he would scream it from the fucking roof.

"Cal" he tasted how it sounded, he moved it around on his tongue and decided it belonged. "My Cal."

And looking at the shine in those golden eyes, looking at the way his lover's lip quivered, he was right.

"Yours."

And maybe Alaska was born cold for a reason, since the warmth he felt drowned him, pulled him under until his vision was blurry and his breath was hitched.

Maybe California was made for him, destined to make him feel the warmth. That thought just pulled him in deeper, a breathless, heartfelt chuckle leaving him.

Made for him, warm as a sun just to melt the ice, as he was made for him to stand in it and never burn, but bask.

Looking at the state of him in front of him, the smile and tears, the shaky breathing and loving eyes, maybe he wasn't alone with that thoughts.

Slowly, he reached for Cal and brought him closer, hugging him and letting himself feel the warmth. Cold will come back, he knew, yet now that he felt the warmness, how could he ever not come back to it?

SO YOUR LOCAL RUSSIAN FOUND HER BEST GIRL IN ARKNIGHTS. 

Some things that I learned about Rosa/Poca the Polar Bear Waifu (for me) from theReddit things and which I will change a bit based on my portrayal and my knowledge of Russian history since Ursus IS Russia in Arknights. I only read Reddit’s posts and I also added some of my personal thoughts. Everything is a combo of what I found and what I will put into my portrayal of the polar bear and heavy weight sniper. 

1. She was the student council president in 4th Boris High school. A funny thing: in Russia, student councils do not exist. However, if we’re judging what Arknights tries to show through nobility and such, the student council is more likely to be a government-type. A starting position in the government to make nobles go further in the chain. 

2. Rosa’s full name is Rostova Natalia Andreyevna. Not Natalia Rostov Andreyevich. She is a female and her name would be written differently. Her name Rosa/Poca is pronounced rosA with underlining the last ‘a’. The same goes for Зима/Zima, as it’s pronounced zimA. 

3. Unlike Zima’s group, Rosa is supposed to be 18 by the time she joins the fight with Rhodes Island. High school in Russia is 10th and 11th grade where student can be either 17-18 at the time of graduation. Taking into consideration the unknown period of time they spent in the school enclosed and forced to fight each other because of starvation, Rosa must be 18 when she’s in RI. Plus, when she joins the fight. It’s been a YEAR since she came with Ursus group, but she wasn’t taking part in missions before that point. 

4. SUI.CIDE MENTION WARNING !  Rosa’s token is a paper cutter. This is a direct correlation with her attempts at suicide before joining the fight at Rhodes Island. 

5. If you think about it, the biggest reason why Rosa probably didn’t join the fight earlier is because of how deeply traumatized she was when she joined Rhodes Island with the group (since it’s said they joined TOGETHER). I’d assume that she was carefully watched by the Rhodes Island crew due to her suicidal state and only when she got better and proved that she will not do anything rash, she was allowed to pick up a weapon and also join the fight. 

6. Rosa’s survivor’s guilt and guilt towards Zima’s group is IMMENSE. It’s turned into self-hatred as she looks back at what she did (as a perpetrator in stealing the food from ‘commoners’ as a ‘nobility’s leader’). She was spared by Zima and Rosa remembers it vividly and every single time she looks at Gummy, Istina, and Zima - she feels intense guilt and a wish to protect them now that she knows she did wrong (even if it was for survival). 

7. Rosa’s different hair color locks are probably a way to signify her respect (?) to Zima and Istina: Red and Blue. Or they can be just a thing signifying the blood and the winter, who knows. I don’t know what that can mean. Maybe it’s her heterochromia eye colors as well. 

8.  Another thing, the hat that Rosa wears is similar to hats that police officers wear in Russia. Fluffy with a “signature” / emblem of the district.  

9. She found her weapon while strolling around Chernobog, judging by the information given. I don’t know how accurate it is, but for now, it stays that way. As a noble lady, it’s a really weird weapon choice, but it’s a proof of her abandoning her nobility status in Rhodes Island once the ‘survival’s game’ happened. 

10. She’s very polite and educated. Her education stands above ‘commoners’ since she was a noble. The air of maturity beyond her years are a sign of that. 

11. Some of the things written on her clothes prove she’s a Polar Bear: 

Полярные - Northern - Polar. 

U. Martimus / Ursus - might have correlation with Marxism or smth like that. Idk, I need to revisit some studying about 20th century Russia because Ursur seems to be that state of affairs. 

Chordata is a classifcation of animals who have tails (thanks Kae!).  Mammalia - probably Mammals.  Carnivora - Carnivorous - eating meat.  Ursidae - probably Ursur / Bear meaning. 

So, yes, I’m playing Rosa on this blog as well and once there will be more information, I’ll be updating my knowledge and my portrayal on her.

alekseyev is at the front again, he and sergetov’s son (his aid) survived a helicopter crash to get to the battle lines. the chief in charge, beregovoy, is working with him to turn the tide in germany. they’re attempting to put all their effort in extending their line of defense in one swift attack. their command post is now mobile so NATO can’t hit them while they’re in one spot.

michael edwards (air force weatherman) and his now 8-man marine unit (uk counterparts) are now sitting at the mountain they were tasked to get to for further reconnaisance. the intel guys on the other end seem to know smth they don’t. a small platoon was also spotted on a nearby mountain. they appear to be looking for something. the party isn’t sure either, so they’re just hanging out in iceland

-dan mccafferty (submarine captain) is now escorting a friendly sub to a safer location since they recently launched missiles from the sea to russia’s northern aircraft runways, so the soviets won’t be able to use their air force for about a week. the friendly sub, i think it’s providence, tail got hit and now all 3? 4? are hightailing it out of there. but little to they know the more subs they kill they slowly are giving away their location. but the russians don’t jnow if there going up against more opponents.

there’s still captain morris and his ship crew, escorting a huge convoy of war supplies to france so they get delivered to the front. they just got there i think, and then they have to travel back across the atlantic to north america.

and bob toland, intelligence guy, is now being transferred back somewhere? he was working in scotland, then london, they might be sending him to where uss pharris is being repaired: norfolk, virginia ?

The North

so i was reading through our character arcs tag (particularly [ this ] and [ this ])  anD I saw that renfry is gonna try to take over the north and assassinate lucian and rowlin and that i was thinking lucian might die by fire via the burning of the north (bc he’ll 100% be against that and will def think he still has the ultimate say in the north bc of his entire personality lakjsdfkjds and might try to have rowlin declared insane or whatever and reclaim his regency) and i had some ideas!!  so, we already know the north is playing host to lilla and there’s gonna be a whole rebellion w her at its center ++ there’s the whole ~burning of the north~ thing so...lots of chaos coming up north hahaha

so, i was thinking of a couple different possibilities!!

renfry learns of lucian’s regency plans and uses them against him, telling rowlin about how lucian is plotting his own restoration, getting rowlin to take down lucian ~for him and so rowlin offers him to the flames or whatever?? (and then renfry possibly offs rowlin???)

if rowlin supports lilla (lucian is 100% the old ways and is like SHOW ME HER ARRINGTON BLOOD AND I SHALL BEND THE KNEE) so maybe rowlin executes lucian on the grounds of treason (aka treason against aalis vymont, queen of aragoth) esp bc lucian would not only NOT support lilla but actively try to take her doWN esp bc he knows how rowena would react!!

also, we had some other ideas that could come together nicely!!

you were thinking that rowlin is either offed by his enemies or given to the flames, himself

you were thinking that sysley dies helping the resistance and/or poisoning one of her enemies but either way, she does this knowing it will be her own doom

you were also thinking that renfry ~does become ruler of the north asp but doesn’t hold his seat long before he, too, dies

lauren and i had also plotted that, asp, avelina and lynessa go north - under the pretense of inspecting lynessa’s northern properties, etc - but mostly to 1) garner support in the north 2) deal w jesper

so!!  i can see where, instead of throwing in w lilla, the north might be throwing in w lynessa/arthur (in which case, lucian would be all for it and he might be executed on the grounds of helping lynessa rather than stopping lilla, but same ultimate deal for him), although as i said...somewhere, i can see lynessa ultimately gathering the remnants of lilla’s rebellion under her own banner, offering them the chance to overthrow rowena, etc., but only after they’ve run their course - she might even help foment the rebellion - bc she wants rowena distracted w that ++ she wants to see how that goes as a good test run, ++ wants rowena weakened, having just fought a war, etc...it’s a whOLe thing alksdjfkljdsf

OR maybe lynessa only accidentally gets them to throw in w lilla bc she’s all like ‘wouldn’t you love to have a different queen, hm?’ and then, before she can do anything, lilla sweeps in and they’re like ‘hey yeah lynessa was right and look here’s a queen!!’ #oops

anyway, so i do think it’s possibly jesper takes lilla somewhere else - say, the west (although the south would be the most logical place - maybe he ends up in the west on his way south and ends up declaring there for some reason like maybe rowena’s in the south or there’s a storm that prevents him going any further or smth idk), bc the west has the least going on hahaha since the north is so arrington-centric and the south so godiva-centric - but it could also work great to leave that all in the north bc it does tie in - and the lilla thing does at least ~start in the north since that’s where she’s living!  and that would be a smart place to do it bc i ~do think its basically the hardest place to besiege (w the west probs being the second bc of its crags etc???) bc its all uphill and snowy - i feel like maybe in some ways its like invading russia in winter hahaha

oh, or maybe jesper takes lilla to the west bc that’s where vysova is and there’s the whole ‘princess of vysova’/prince of wales thing or smth or bc the traditional seat of raimbeaucourt is there and he wants clear godiva associations w her or smth idk but i can also potentially see them ending up in the south asp or just plain staying in the north or going east who knows im down for wahtever!!
