I'm not going to be able to write my typical long rambles for a bit (need to catch up on important work), but here's a short list of things I wanna talk about with the latest canto.

Spoilers, of course.

The entire Canto taking place after the ending of Don Quixote (the first Don, I will not call him the Actual Don because our Don is as much Don Quixote as he is) is not something I expected, but makes so much sense and made for a wonderful story. There are themes of identity, struggling to live under a broken system and GOD THE FAMILIAL TIES. THE FIGHT AGAINST THE TWO MIDBOSSES + THE PRIEST HAD SUCH MAGNIFICENT STORY BUILD UP. AND THE PRIEST'S ENTIRE MOVESET. UGGGH I WANNA TALK ABOTU IT

Hey. Outis. What did you mean by that. We all know what I'm talking about, right? This is the first time I know of that she's actually given even a smidge of info about herself somewhat directly. Somewhat. Everything else is just in how she knows things and acts. Here she is asking a very specific question and god, I need to know more about her now.

Good job Sinclair. And everyone else. But good job Sinclair.

Vergilius with Sanson's face/mask is cursed.

I continue to feel so so bad for the Bloodfiends. They did the best they could in a world that gave them only two horrible options. I couldn't help but compare La Manchaland to the Tokyo Ghoul:RE ending, because the hemobars reminded me of the artificial meat, except in TG:RE it worked and here, well. We saw how that went. I think it's a great idea to start with the after of their solution; this isn't a situation with a possible solution, they tried that and failed. Who knows if there is one that works? Does it matter now that they're all dead?

I'm going to be very weird about Camille once this is all said and done, but I do want to note that the pretty boy being turned into a flower and having a name very clearly gotten from Carmilla the flower (and maybe the book? Haven't read it yet so idk if he's taken from there) is very cheeky. I still wish I could've besting him up myself. This isn't me critiquing the writing, this is me being weird.

The QTE in the ending cutscene of the boss fight was cool and really added to the feeling of fighting against and overcoming a clearly superior foe.

I wanna hug Don Quixote the First. He's such a ray of sunshine and deserved better. Even if he was somewhat delusional, at least he genuinely cared for his family.

What happened to Hong Lu's sister? Did she just vanish? I didn't notice until later on, so I'll probably need to go back and check myself.

Bari is the Librarian of Death (edit: Nameless Bookhunter, thanks for the correction AE)? Idfk and idc for now. If Bari ends up showing up again or a moot of mine decides they wanna talk about it, maybe I'll look into it.

The familial themes here are most certainly also going to be related to Hong Lu's story, which once more is a reason I really should get to reading all the books for this game.

Ryoshu accepting death from the possibility of fighting Don Qui the second was really funny.

The abno fights here are really good, and I love how Limbus is making unbreakable coins the standard from now on. Makes it so you can't just blaze through fights taking no damage, and these battles genuinely feel difficult. That's good. Their designs and mechanics are also pretty easy to understand and match with their ego gifts pretty well. God I wish we had more Rupture ids that could stack as much count as the Lasso abno.

Sancho fight was cool as hell. The clashable 10 speed skill was so good and made it feel like a massive improvement on the Cassetti fight. So good. On use coin power did mess me up a little given it doesn't show up in the clash numbers, but that was on me for not reading tbh.

Fun fact: final boss can be Meatlantern soloed really easily. So easy in fact that that's how I cleared it. Doing it with a full team didn't end well for me. The solo's also really consistent, which is nice.

Mili song is really good. As usual. I need to go listen to it again. I need an in-game mix. I need it. The childishness of Sancho's side of the tune compared with the seriousness of first Don's side is lovely.

Also. Please, in the final clash where you use Don's base ego. I hope you looked at the name of the ego and the name of Don the First's attack. Please. It's such a good detail. And it's so much better when you remember that Sancho was always the one making weapons for Don. He calls Sancho's lances much more graceful than his. It's so lovely. You can tell these two genuinely love each other. It's so good.

Also the fact that basically every fixer we went in with got wiped out by weakened Bloodfiends really shows just how powerful these bloodfiends are. Camille had to resort to using ego gear to survive. Sheesh.

Vixen’s two cents: hello! This started out as an imagine but i realized i dont really like writing imagines (it feels so unstructured), so have this little scenario instead. Also, whilst rereading this i realize that Shui seems a little creepy and i swear i dint want him to come off like that?! It was a hot idea in my head, idk how well that that translated, lmk about it! Remember my REQUESTS ARE OPEN!! When your auntie told you to go and take boudoir pictures, you thought she was talking crazy and waved her off with a polite smile, but she wouldn’t let up. “You’re as young and beautiful as you’ll ever be! Take them for yourself when you’re old like me! It might seem awkward but it’ll be worth it!”

If you would tell yourself from a week ago that you were had booked an appointment to the nearest place, you would have fainted. And if you would have told yourself from 4 hours ago, when you booked that appointment that you would eventually have to step INTO the store too, you would have freaked out. Screw that, you were freaking out now.

You had considered turning around and running about four or five times, but that little voice in the back of your head going pussy wouldnt leave you alone. In a burst of confidence you entered the shop and were met with a surprisingly comfortable atmosphere, and a cozy interior.

You scan the shop for a few seconds, deeming it good enough not to run out of right away, before a tall, slim figure emerged from one of the Backrooms. He wore a lazy smile when he came to you, clicking away at the computer on the desk before asking “Are you my boudoir at 4?” In a smooth, low voice.

You nod shyly in response, fidgeting with your hands a little. He chuckled in response “Don’t worry love, I won’t do anything- this is my job after all.”

He led you to a studio type room and handed you a robe. “Over there.” He said, and a long index of his rose to gesture to a little changing cabin in the corner of the room. “Ill go get everything set up for us.” And with that, he left you to freak out in the changing rooms because fuck he’s hot!

When you emerge again he’s already handling some sort of lenses to the end of the cameras, lights and props set up and ready to go. When he looks to you, you grow shy again and tug the robe a little tighter around your body. He sees this and nods reassuringly “It’s normal to be nervous, sweetheart.” Which only makes you more nervous.

He notices, but chooses to ignore it as he guides you to one of the chairs that are set up. “Now dont worry too much about anything. Just do your thing, ill do all the magic.” You sit, admittedly a little more relaxed but still stiff and he huffs with a smile. “Relax girl! You dont want these looking like pass photos do you?” And that makes you giggle a litte, finally loosening up again.

“There we go. That’s better already. Want me to talk you through it, distract you a little? Do you think that would help?” Eyes are soft but his gaze burns straight through you. “I think that would help, yeah.” And that makes him smile a little.

“How old are you anyway? You look very young- I don’t normally get a lot of girls your age.” He lifts the camera and clicks something on a little machine that begins whirring lightly in the background, producing little qualms of smoke. “I uh, im twenty two. Don’t get me wrong I would have never done this on my own accord, but my auntie, she said that id regret it my whole life if i don’t do this and all such things.”

Whilst you had been explaining, your robe had started slipping off your shoulders. You had noticed but found it the most natural transition into the inevitable. Getting more comfortable, you decided to throw your legs over one of the seat’s armrests, leaning back a little, getting comfortable, as he had advised.

“Thank your auntie for me then.” He whispered underneath his breath, the shutter clicking softly.

Caesar was vibing sometime around the '40s. 0040s, not 1940s.

He has a wife named Calpurnia. A maggot wants to be her because and I quote 'no one ever listens to me either'.

She tells him not to go to some kind of coronation or speech or something on the Ides. He's like nah wifey 'sall gucci.

I regret saying that sentence. As did Caesar, because he went and got stabbed in 44. Spoiler alert.

People ship Mark Antony with Caesar but some ship Brutus and Caesar. *youtuber voice* Comment below with your favourite ship.

Don't do it I don't want to know. Anyway, he's also married to Cleopatra, who is killed by snake venom that may not have been snake venom or something.

Idk they were cute. They had a kid that ran away and Asterix and Obelix had to take care of him. Caesarian?

WAIT IS A C-SECTION CALLED A CAESARIAN BECAUSE YOU CUT IT OPEN AND CAESAR WAS STABBED? WHAT?

There is a soothsayer. He tries to soothwarn Caesar.

On the Ides of March, Caesar goes up to the soothsayer who is lurking on the steps of the maybe-coronation place. He soothsays The Ides of March are come!

The soothsayer soothsighs and soothsays Aye, Caesar, but not gone.

The senators, otherwise known as the soothslayers, have been plotting for a while. Brutus is a very dear friend of Caesar. He thinks Caesar slays.

But the other senators convince him this is what's best for Rome. So he thinks Caesar should be slayed.

So now the soothslayers at the maybe-coronation gather around Caesar and start stabbing him. Et tu, Brute? and all that (though I remember something about that phrase not meaning the same thing as it does in popular context...).

The soothslayers are a bit extra. Like bro. One stab to the heart would have soothsufficed.

Anyway, Caesar is soothslayed like the soothsayer soothsaid.

There is a funeral thing. The People of Rome are cranky.

A maggot once said Moots, maggots, countrymen! and it lives rent-free in my head.

Anyway what Mark Antony actually says is a whole ass speech. FRIENDS, ROMANS, COUNTRYMEN, LEND ME YOUR EARS. I COME TO BURY CAESAR, NOT TO PRAISE HIM! THE EVIL THAT MEN DO LIVES AFTER THEM, THE GOOD IS INTERR'D WITH THEIR BONES (I THINK I HAVEN'T HEARD THE SPEECH IN A WHILE OK) SO LET IT BE WITH CAESAR.

So he gives the soothspeech and everyone is emotional. IF YOU HAVE TEARS, PREPARE TO SHED THEM NOW. Damn bro. It's like playing villain music just as the camera focuses on the villain.

Anyway then there is a lot of chaos and blah blah blah Mark Antony does some stuff Caesar's adoptive son Octavian does some stuff.

There's some bloke named Augustus who may or may not be Octavian (if he was sorry for the deadname Auggy my bad).

Brutus is killed? Or he kills Mark Antony? One of them die.

They were totally not fighting over who was a better lover to Caesar.

Roman Republic gone byebye as I say to Roxie. Roman Empire starts. The end.

Er.

That was a thing. I rather like summarising my homeboy Shakespeare haven't read him in a while and I only read his comedies. Maybe I should do more in honour of the Globe Theatre Maggots.

fear not, in case you're bored, here's some

suggestions of headcanons you could write

about! ( and that i personally would love to read

about, but shh. )

𐀔 with a s/o that frequently hides behind them and peaks over their shoulder. could be out of shyness or because she's surrounded by people she's hesitant about.

𐀔 type of date they like the most. maybe a headcanon about where they would like to go on a date, where they would have fun, if they'd think too much about it, for how long the date would go on, if they take them home, etc.

𐀔 when travelling with s/o. are they the ones who plan everything? or do they go with an unplanned schedule? which transport they'd like the most, and to go where? stuff about hotels and shopping would be fun to talk about too.

𐀔 with a s/o that is a perfeccionist about their hobbies. could be something about painting, playing any instrument, dancing, writing, etc. could be about them both being their #0 stans but also helping s/o cope with not being satisfied with the 'product' (painting, choreography, etc!) of their hobby.

𐀔 with a s/o who's avoidant with problems. here you could go 2 ways: a) s/o hates conflict so the relationship becomes a little bitter for their avoidance of 'fighting' or trying to solve the problem; or b) s/o that runs away from her problems. she's too scared to go out to do something? she doesn't go. so the partner helps the s/o dealing with this.

𐀔 when they use glasses, and s/o thinks it's attractive. hear me out; a character who usually doesn't wear glasses, only on rare occasions (to read, for example!) and s/o simps over it.

𐀔 with a s/o that has a style totally opposite of them. for example, if the character uses darker colors = s/o wears lighter colors. how would they react? do they think it's a funny thing?

𐀔 moving together with their s/o. who took the initiative to suggest them moving together? unpacking, their first night sleeping on their bedroom, settling rules / sharing tasks...

𐀔 when the group asks reader who would be the best partner out of them, and reader answers their name. it could be the reader's opinion about who would be the best partner, or who matches reader's ideal type the most. it would be funny to see the character's reaction, and if they would act on it or not.

𐀔 and the petnames they'd used with their s/o. do they still call s/o by their name? which kind of petnames are they fond of? maybe include ones that they'd like to be called as, too!

𐀔 with a reader whose love language is physical touch, and ask character to hold their hand / for a hug. this would be before reader is their s/o, this also being the first time that reader asks to be comforted or held by them as well.

𐀔 with a reader that constantly has nightmares, and is afraid to be alone afterwards. how would they react when reader calls for them? what would they do to sooth / help reader to avoid nightmares?

𐀔 when they plan a date / surprise for reader, but they didn't know so on that day, they hang out with other people.

𐀔 with a reader who has arachnophobia. as someone who has this, i promise you that this is awful and that i need someone who acts like my knight in shining armor about this.

𐀔 with a reader who has claustrophobia and they end up stuck inside a small room. for my claustrophobic moots. </3

𐀔 with a reader who was hit with an ability / spell that makes her eyes change color according to their feelings. reader is angry? red eyes. reader is sad? blue eyes. reader is flustered and shy? pink eyes. reader can't lie about their emotions now, would the character take advantage of this?

How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr?

Since, like, 2020? Somewhere thereabouts.

What led you to create it?

Wanting to connect with writers/readers outside of Ao3 (it's just not set up for conversations outside of comment threads). And wanting to raise my characters up like baby Simba at the start of The Lion King for more of the Internet to behold.

What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?

It's about the connection. 🤌 Plenty of writing communities, both on and offline, focus on critique or getting something published. Which can be great, if it's what you're after. But I think having others who genuinely cheer you on and let you ramble is just as important to helping writers through the often messy process of creating.

What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?

I can be a bit shy or slow to interact, but once I'm invited in I'll haunt follow your blog or writing even if I'm not constantly saying anything.

Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash?

People talking about what they love, in published work and with writeblr stuff. A lot of the time I read or watch something because of the way others talk about it. That includes your own writing!

What tips/advice do you have for someone who made a Writeblr today?

Be patient, manage your expectations, and focus on having some fun. There's no algorithm here and even less clout. Writers can and do build audiences on Tumblr, but it's uniquely suited to allow us to experiment and be weird too.

Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?

I'm rewriting Apophenia, a novel about a supernatural researcher enduring the worst assignment of his life. A lot of my other projects are set in the same world.

How long have you been working on them?

Over five years now, I think! I'm slow.

Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?

The Chocolate Box event on Ao3! The prompt was for a human captured by a vampire, but I wound up creating an entire world and series. Oops.

How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?

If I'm not thinking about these characters it's only because I'm dead.

When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?

Gay vampire trash.

What do you want to say (if it’s different from what you do say)?

I write about characters who struggle towards community, compassion, and being better people despite a) their flaws, and b) the world burning down around them. I hope that it gives me the courage to continue doing the same.

Who’s the most unhinged?

Outwardly? Any of my necromancers. They come in a wide variety of styles, from Motley sewing patches of skin onto itself, to Acacius of Antioch who drapes his bejeweled and gilded bones in black veils. Each also has an, um, unique view of (un)life, the body, and ethics. Views which could come across as unhinged.

Who comes the most naturally for you to write?

At this point Isaac Soto, the protagonist of Apophenia. We do share a few similarities, but mostly I've just been writing him for years now.

Do you ever cringe at them?

At my characters or their antics? I wouldn't give them the satisfaction.

How much control do you feel you have over your characters?

They do frequently just spring ideas and actions on me, but I have the ultimate say in what makes it onto the page. Same with having the power/responsibility of changing something I realize isn't working, is insensitive, etc.

Do you enjoy people asking questions about your characters?

Always and forever, yes. 💜 Send me asks, comment in the tags or on Ao3, shriek in reblogs, replies, or a dm. It doesn't matter how--I love whenever someone is curious or interested enough to ask something about my fictional creations.

ON WRITEBLR ENGAGEMENT

What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account?

Sometimes it's based on vibes, sometimes I really like the sound of their stories. I appreciate a sense of whimsy and/or humor especially. And someone who likes spooky as well as fantasy stuff.

What makes you decide against following?

Two things: A) Their intro already has, like, 80+ notes (though the vibe/story will override this), and B) lots of posts hating on things/trends/people. I don't mean venting or sometimes ranting, which is everyone's right. I mean someone's whole brand is ridicule or just immediately seeing the bad in everything. Which is still their right. It's also mine to avoid it, and I think this is mutually beneficial. Thankfully, though, this experience has been very rare for me on writeblr.

Do you interact with non-mutuals often?

I try to. I'll reblog, read, comment, take an open tag, whatever when I have the energy. I mean, how else do writers get readers? It takes people who might not know you personally talking about your work a lot of the time.

Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?

I am absorbing the essence of your blorbos as we speak, making them an eternal part of me.

i wanna prod at ur catholic confession post actually. like yes, murder and child rape is obviously bad and there is an inherent problem with how the catholic church shields abusers. but i think removing some of the restrictions of what a priest can or cannot say about a confession could cause some problems. like, for example, how a lot of priests considerer LGBT people to be child abusers/predatory! hypothetically if the cath church made it so preists could openly condemn confessions guilty of child abuse, and if the church considers identifying as LGBT as child abuse, then that could cause problems if someone confessed to IDing as gay/trans. or alternatively, what if someone confesses to killing a rapist/sexual abuser. a priest could use that confession to testify against them and get them imprisoned. is it ok to imprison people for murdering their abusers? idk, but i dont like the idea of the catholic church having that power having a blanket statement that priests cant mention ANY confessions makes it *slightly* more immune to corruption IMO. obviously i dont think this solution is perfect, but my alternative would be to dissolve the catholic church entirely, and i dont think thats happening anytime soon.

well as you point out there isn't really a good solution to this, and that is because the idea of confession is inherently dumb as fuck. everything the catholic church considers a sin falls into one of three categories:

failing to be pious enough (forgetting to pray, missing church, taking the Lord's name in vain). keeping these secret is fine because they aren't, like, actual crimes, and in small + devout enough communities there are definitely priests who would gossip about to their neighbors if not for the confessional seal.

really cool and good activities that are only an issue if you were raised to believe that they would send you to eternal neverending torture after death (jacking off, being gay, having premarital sex, getting/considering an abortion). these should obviously be kept secret because they're embarrassing and potentially dangerous. however, this is kind of a moot point, because any decent person (priest or otherwise) would understand this without needing a confessional seal making it official. so these need the seal to stop the average priest from tattling to a kid's parents when they confide in them.

actual literal crimes with prison sentences and everything (rape, murder, manslaughter, assault). you should not be telling anyone about these if you can help it. what the fuck guys. this isn't even an ethics thing, this is a "don't be fucking stupid" thing. if you murdered your abuser and got away with it, good for you! now shut the fuck up about it because murder is still illegal. is the guilt eating you alive so badly that you need absolution from God about it (cringe)? do what Protestants figured out centuries ago and cut the middleman out of the equation by talking to the J.C. directly via personal prayer! yes i am aware this is heretical. if you care about heresy more than getting caught you are stupid.

so looking at the three points above, the best argument in favor of confessional seal that i can formulate is "sure, it allows murderers and abusers to literally have their actions condoned by God with the explicit guarantee of never being held legally accountable or even changing their behavior (just say a few Hail Maries), but think about the consequences of removing it! priests would be even MORE bigoted than they already are! some of them might even GOSSIP!" like hm, okay, i hear you, you make some excellent points, i think we should nuke the Vatican

Blog updates+ just gen updates ?Kinda talking about stuff?

Aight so summer vacation has roughly 1 month left and that means im starting my 2nd year of high school in a month.Im not in my homeland in terms of school- im in a diffrent country, different language and i am still not good at it and i have to practice before then.

In all reallity i made this blog back in February as a way for me to post nom art so i can at least share that interest with some people.

For a small bit i had few followers but i was happy, it was just me and like 10-15 people.

And then i suddenly got more followers and this blog became a place of comfort and joy for me. Little me probably would not believe we ever got further than 20 watchers on DeviantArt or like 50 followers on Amino in 2019.

Its been a joy and i love the stuff ive expirienced here.Ive made a good few moots and frens , even someone id consider to be one of my closest friends now.

However , since the shitstorm back on May 29th of this year i have been paranoid of every follower ive gotten, and i have not been able to connect to people since then. Very rarely do i even find the motivation to even text a person more than like a few times a WEEK.

Also with getting more followers multiple MDNI blogs and NSFW blogs have found my stuff and its almost like every day i have to worry about some rando rebloging my shit to a blog that encourages gross shit.

Heck even if its a sfw vore blog run by an adult theres a chance they reblog nsfw shit, and then people who like that will come to me thinking i make simmilar content.

to say I don't have more than a dozen people blocked from this stuff is an understatement.

And i am not against nsfw blogs, i am bi i get it. Im not against thesr people posting their honky shit more power to em, im just not 18 and its putting them and ME in danger yk?

I seriously dont want to undermind all the wonderful stuff ive expirienced here, but again after ghe 29th i have not had the same..joy to post i had once before.nor to make friends.

So please, if you want to be close to me, id advise against it for both our sakes,.

Another thing is after the past month, ive been considering making this blog 16+ only. Im still not sure on the decision but yeah.

I may also eventually rework my main and possibly share it?But im not sure on that either in all fairness.

So yeah

I wont be as active, i may not post much, and yeah i kinda just rambled for like 10 minutes.

spamton and addison headcanon post ^^

i saw one of my moots do this and i have many headcanons for mine so i thought id also post mine :D

(small sidenote a lot of these i stole borrowed from other creators and fics and stuff so i will highlight the unoriginal ones and put a key at the bottom)

addisons are 3d models so they can do stuff like glitch out and clip into walls n whatnot (but it only really happens when somethings wrong which is why spamtons is so much worse)

spamton can pop his jaw and limps in and out of place like a doll (also bjd body if that wasnt obvious)

spamton is eerily good at piano - he learnt it during his big shot era

addison hands are kinda like mitts which they can split into fingers if needed. also they can split into claws for self defence if one is in danger

spamtons ad speech and glitchiness get worse when hes stressed :c

spamton pretty much always speaks super energetically, like minecraft youtuber style

spamtons skin is made of plastic but normal addison skin is not. this also means spamton doesnt have the same thing where his hands arent mitt like which he can split into fingers theyre just always hand

addisons are luminescent but spamton isnt bc puppet

spamton (and jevil) can both speak wingdings

spamtons always had the pipis but they havent always looked like pipis. they used to look like a little red notification dot and the number on the dot would show how much damage it would do

all addisons just have black eyes (sometimes theyre lines and sometimes not depends if i can be arsed to draw proper eyes lol) but spamtons are a bright blue from the shadow crystal incident. if you look closely enough you can see a sun and clouds

also he doesnt have very good vision and without his glasses his eyes will feel like theyre burning

i believe in puppetification theory more than acid theory but i think that the acid is still harmful to addisons. if it comes in contact with their skin it can cause rashes/burning (like a bad sunburn) and if they swallow it it can make them ill or glitchy. if they swallow too much than it can cause irreversible code corruption, which is the main reason why spamton is so glitchy (but mike still caused a lot of the speech thing, its just the physical glitching caused by the acid)

spamton is super agile and sneaky like a cat (i mean no one found him for years in cyber city which isnt a massive place so it makes sense)

can mimic voices really well but in the bracketed speech. basically he can record voices

As a dear moot, your treat is... a drabble! If you remember my art post from a while ago for a Sakuatsu AU, this is actually its predecessor, a little thing I wrote:

If Atsumu was really honest, working at a gas station was be very boring.

The most interesting part of his shifts are the people. Sometimes he will meet truck drivers with thick accents, sometimes a tired mom dragging her kids along and buying ice cream for them. Some are more talkative, maybe a flirt or two, sometimes they are completely silent.

Most of them, however, came by car. So it is a refreshing sight when bikers comes to stop at the little convenience store he looks after. The rumbling engines make Atsumu perk up.

Two motorbikes were parking outside, and god, Atsumu hopes he could contain himself.

If there is one thing he was embarrassed to admit, it is that masked men, in his opinion, were stupidly hot. The all black clothing those two men were wearing is not helping. One was taller than the other, still wearing his helmet while his friend took his off. He was cute, for sure. Not Atsumu's type but still. All freckles and a cheery smile, light brown hair pinned back.

They step inside and he pretends to be somewhat busy, cleaning his workspace. He hears them talking, one voice is muffled. That guy still has his helmet on and Atsumu is terribly curious. Horribly, because it is none of his business, what the man looks like.

"It's fine, Motoya. I'll go pay for it, you go." The taller one mumbles. Seems like they both need to refill their tanks, too.

He hears steps and stands back up straight to greet the customer.

He was tall, slightly taller than Atsumu. His presence was larger than him though. Almost gloomy.

"Hiya. How can I help ya?"

"Hi." He grabs some food, two drinks and four onigiri, to be exact.

Atsumu needs to tell Osamu to send him a bigger stock next time, those are selling like hotcakes.

"Anything else?"

"Well, gas." He points out the door, where his friend was by the motorbikes. "And also, a packet of Seven Stars, if you carry those." His dark eyes glance to the shelf behind Atsumu. Bingo. This is Atsumu's chance.

"We do. Mind if I see your ID for those?" He asks before grabbing a pack for him. He hears a click and a movement and when he turns around he's faced with the man again, now unmasked. Atsumu's eyes start low, taking the ID and noticing the helmet now held under the stranger's arm.

As his eyes trail up he compares the ID picture to the man's face. 'Kiyoomi Sakusa'.

Barely younger than Atsumu, so definitely of age.

And fuck, is he good-looking. Atsumu tries to keep being confident, though the way the stranger is looking at him makes his knees want to buckle.

A pretty man, dark curly hair that frames his face. Some strands stick to his sweaty face and Atsumu can't help but notice the abundance of moles scattered over his monotone expression, two placed precisely above Kiyoomi's eyebrow. Which match the ID Atsumu is *supposed* to be looking at.

The other's dark eyes are looking back at him, expectantly. Right.

"Looks good. Pictures don' really do ya justice, do they?"

Subtle, veeeery subtle flirting. About the only thing Atsumu could still utter. He hands the ID back.

"I assume that's a compliment?" Kiyoomi asks, voice now clear and no longer muffled. Judging by the accent he was from the city.

"Sure is." Atsumu leans on the counter. "What brings you two to the countryside?"

Kiyoomi shrugs, putting his stuff in his backpack. His helmet rests on the counter.

"A trip. My cousin wanted to show me around. Not really my kind of scene." He looks at Atsumu, noticing his nametag. "Are those Onigiri yours?" He asks, still holding one of them. They had 'Miya' on them, after all.

"Twin brother. If you have complaints yer welcome to take 'em up with me, though." He smirks.

"Does your brother also oggle at strangers?" The taller man teases, though his face is monotone, only his eyebrow lifts up.

Atsumu's grin falls and his face heats up. There goes him being smooth. "Not really, he's taken." He tries to save himself.

The door opens and Kiyoomi's cousin steps in. Looking back at Kiyoomi he sees the other smirking at him and Atsumu's heart skips a beat. He didn't know if he should feel humiliated or turned on.

"Ready to go?" Kiyoomi's cousin asks, smiling. "Pump 3." He also informs Atsumu, who checks the screen and charges them. Not without a little discount though. A bit of an embarrassing attempt to keep them coming back.

And yet, it miraculously worked.

ReRe: Sexuality, labeling theory, and accepting your own ignorance in BG3 fandom

One thing I have learned in my life is to,well, learn. Discourse over companion sexuality surged on Twitter at a time I just happened to be on yesterday. As I preached my own QT about the characters being playersexual, I happened upon a tweet about this word being bi/pan phibic due to its history.

While I was confused, I took my post down and decided to find out the root instead. I began my usual route: asking questions and running a search on google. To me at a surface understanding, the term playersexual encompassed the gambit of all sexualities-allowing the player character (PC) to choose whomever they wish to romance. For those who are unfamiliar- BG3 is a dnd set CRPG where the PC is able to engage in romantic interactions. The more special part of BG3 is that these romances can play a substantial part in the overall story of your playthrough. And as most of the western hemishphere probably knows the name Astarion, it suffices to say that these companions and possible romances are important to the playerbase. Though the numbers aren't in yet, there is a sizeable chunk of queer persons involved in the BG3 fandom and it only takes a cursory glance at twitter in order to realize that. And of course, representation of queer romances plays into that. So, while I thought the term would resonate with people of the freedom to choose, the term "player -sexual" as Larian devs described the companions, only druged up old wounds. And I was very, very ignorant on this. From my conversations, I learned that the term was coined in the time of Dragon Age 2 by a confirmed biphobic dev in response to fans praising bisexual characters. As well, it was brought to my attention by my mutual Mish that Larian winning awards for inclusivity, while also using this term, left people feeling like the devs were once again erasing the canon sexuality of pansexuals. For context, Niel Newbon spoke in response to a question that Astarion is pansexual. This can be confirmed in game by Lae'zel possibly sleeping with Astarion during the night of the Tiefling party. The companions aren't just sleeping with any PC no matter what, but with other NPCs as well. Once my moot on twitter, mon, pointed this out-it suddenly made sense. I was wrong. There are some more conversations surrounding this topic I would love to expand on later, but for the point of this already being long I will save it. At first, I thought the problem of labels was solved by the term playersexual, but it turns out that label was stuck on to cover sexualities and their validity. Ignorance is often used as an insult; a euphamism for stup[id. However, ignorance in itself is nuetral. It is neither good nor bad until the option to learn is put forth, and the ignorant make a choice to learn or not. Unfortunately, most cause of discourse is rooted in willful ignorance, or refusing to acknoowledge and understand knowledge when presented. I don't use the words attached to phobics or isms without careful consideration. In this instance I do believe the word playersexual to be pan or bi phobic due to its history. I do hope that Larians reconsiders this word in the future. I can't win every war, but I can learn which wars to fight with not being afraid to be wrong and learn different. thank you <3

Don’t worry I’m very well educated, my gripe with proshippers isn’t the fact that they make art/write stories depicting dark topics like incest, rape, grooming etc. it’s the fact the vast majority of those who call themselves proshipper/profic etc. sexualises and romanticises these kind of topics. 

You can very much draw art or write stories about fucked up shit like a kid getting sexually groomed by an adult or someone getting SA’d by a relative. It’s all about how to approach these topics that is important, and that we do not engage with these dark and awful subjects in a way that is disrespectful to those who have been through things like SA, grooming or incest etc.

It is very obvious (to me at least) when someone is writing a story about a kid getting SA’d to actually TELL a story involving this in a way that doesn’t dismiss, sexualise and/or romanticise the trauma that SA victims went through and when someone is writing SA to get their own rock off.

I understand that some antis out there are very reactionary when it comes to dealing with or debating with proshippers. I’m anti harassment and anti proship, I keep my distance from you lot because again you guys have a tendency to look at dark topics and go “uuuu that’s so cute/hot!!” and as a grooming victim that makes me uncomfortable. Just because some antis are being stupid and harassing proshippers doesn’t mean that being anti-proship/profic automatically makes you inherently pro-harassment and pro-censorship.

Antis aren’t a hive mind, and neither are proshippers, not all of you are pro-c pedos/zoos/necros etc., especially considering the fact that a lot (not all) of proshippers that I’ve come across are chrono minors which only rings alarms bells for me even more. 

Also if you’re associating being antiship with NAZIS/alt right please go outside because that’s a VERY tone deaf take to claim. I implore you to do some introspection.

Long reply short: No I’m not open for you to “educate” me, I’ve seen enough to know that I don’t want anything to do with proshippers. I am against proshippers interacting and following me, I am not willing to compromise my boundaries, thus you “miss out” on being mutuals with me, please do not interact with me again or I will report and block you.
