New York, NY (July 10, 2023) – Producers Sonia Friedman Productions, David Babani, Patrick Catullo, and Jeff Romley announced today that the first ever Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along has extended its engagement by popular demand. Originally announced to run through January 21, 2024, Merrily We Roll Along will now run through March 24, 2024, with performances beginning on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Hudson Theatre (141 W 44th Street). Directed by multi-Olivier Award® winner Maria Friedman, Merrily We Roll Along features music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, a book by George Furth, and is based on the original play by George S. Kaufman & Moss Hart.

As previously announced, Merrily We Roll Along will star Daniel Radcliffe as Charley Kringas, Jonathan Groff as Franklin Shepard, and Lindsay Mendez as Mary Flynn.

Tickets for the new dates will be available at 10:00am ET today, Monday, July 10 at MerrilyOnBroadway.com.

Tickets will be available from $69. A TodayTix Lottery will be available for all performances, with details to be announced at a later date.

Additionally, the production will feature Krystal Joy Brown as Gussie Carnegie, Katie Rose Clarke as Beth Shepard, and Reg Rogers as Joe Josephson. i just think the prequel to "innocent very lovely teenager being accused of murder and he dies in the town he wanted nothing more than to escape with his name uncleared and everyone still thinking he did it" being presumably "his dad manipulates him into bad decisions to help him pursue music because of the promises of some lady that his band can be successful and he will escape the town. but its a prequel so we know how that turns out" is like. super fun very excellent storytelling from the best writers in the universe the writing team behind classically well known for its amazing writing show thinger strangs. like.

Honestly I've literally never seen anyone talk about her before, until now! And that hc with her and Robin intrigued me. I think they would make a cool couple (or if not, best friends even). So disappointing that we only got to see her during this brief moment at Tina's party & saying a couple of lines to Jonathan because like I said before, I found her so cool & interesting. :)
