either Metallica, Green Day, Sherlock, Doctor Who, or Formula One—the latter’s a funny case, though. I watched it religiously from 2005-2012, with 2007 and 2009 being my favorite seasons. Quit watching before 2013 started because everyone I liked had either been fired or put in a bad spot, and then after Jules died, I started watching again, and 2016 gave me all the 2009 memories. I hate how Americanized, how loud, how “all frosting with no cake underneath” it is now, and I’m not alone in this, either: I can’t remember anyone’s names after the 2016 season, the season is obscenely long now (when I was watching, it went from March to Halloween; now, it’s like the same length as a season of NASCAR), and I think it was Jenson Button who recently wrote about suffering from anorexia and had no one to talk to about it?

Probably Soundgarden.

I made a shirt with my Soundgarden cartoons ironed on it. For my 14th(?) birthday, my mom made me a Ferrari cake, and then for my 15th birthday, I got a BMW cake (Kimi Räikkönen, Nick Heidfeld, and Robert Kubiča are/were MY GUYS, man). For my 16th, I got rice krispy Easter Island heads in a fondant airplane (for Stone Temple Pilots).

Supernatural. I LOVE Doctor Who, and I love Sherlock, but I always got lost on that one so I could never join “Superwholock.” I have never fit in with the thrash fandoms, either: I’m like the Radiohead of the thrash fandom.

Around the World in 80 Days, only because I think Steve is cute.

thelittlefatrat, who was this kickass artist on here who disappeared back in 2018. Has these incredible drawings of people like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Plant, the guys from Guns ‘N Roses, Chris, Kurt, Scott, Layne, Eddie, and Chester, but also bunnies, snakes, and cats.

With Strings Attached, a Beatles fanfic dating back to 1980 and was completed in 2009. It’s a fantasy story full of heart and humor and has ostensibly influenced everything I’ve ever done that’s long and fantastical. I also love Love in Exile, a Jerry Cantrell/Stone Gossard fic. I love fool’s gold by Cazio: don’t know anyone on the f1 grid anymore but huge influence on Like Blood from a Stone and (vaguely) Throughout the Dark Months of April and May. I love Audere est Facere by Natelly (I think that’s how she spells her name?), which is about the origin of Ahkmenrah’s gold tablet: huge influence on All That Glitters. With Strings Attached, you can Google no problem; the author took down Love in Exile wanting to rework it to an original story. Sigh.

A fic on here called There’s a Light. It’s mainly about Pearl Jam but it’s got the whole grunge scene involved. 10 years later, it’s still with me.

Can I say myself? There have been authors I love, authors who have inspired me so many times over, but I write the stories I love and think about regularly.

*looks around* kink tags. I hate to admit it and talk about it but there’s a reason why I go back to kink stories and kinktober.

kink tags. Sometimes I feel like my hard limits are too hard and I’m a major freak (and not in a good way). I also hate reader inserts because they just never look right to me.

the time I made inktober drawings for when now it’s dark was going, and I posted them on instagram… and I was completely oblivious to the fact Joey was watching me. He would talk about me on Jamey Jasta’s podcast—and the week before my birthday, too! There was the time Testament took an after-show picture together and some guy in the comments made a remark about Alex having a potbelly, and I blurted out, “I want to blow raspberries on it.” About a week later, they were doing a v.i.p. shoot and Alex was covering up his belly with his arms and getting all kinds of giggly. I can’t stop thinking about it, tbh.

MUSIC = TIME MACHINE!!!

Last night, I ventured out of my abode to join the masses at the Earth Wind and Fire (EWF) and Lionel Richie Concert. Many of you may have noticed that my activities have increase of late, particularly my concert attendance. I mean, I have seen Elton John, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Patty LaBelle, the teacher comedian Eddie B (third time) and now this.

Of all of my adventures, this one is significant because of the music. I love music. I can't get enough of music. I get that that from my mama. We had a piano and we all were taught to play something on it. She always played it. I miss her playing. But I digress. Today's music is an acquired taste. There are some good songs and a lot that isn't for me. Tonight was completely for me. For I was transported back...back...back to being in school in Marietta.

Several of the songs placed me in the band. "In the Stone!" is a song I haven't heard since high school. I played clarinet that year and as part of the show, we did this "dance" on the field. I still remembered the dance and promptly did it in the stands. You see, these groups made music that was easily transported to the field for marching band.

Another song was "Still". That was our Homecoming Theme song from my Senior year. I can remember playing that song over and over and over until all the Homecoming Court paraded down the 50 yard line. The crowd is cheering for their candidate then it goes silent. The name of the Queen is announced. Tears flow. Pictures are taken. The Court is escorted off the field. We strike up the Fight Song and exit. I was on Student Council that year. Since I was Band President also, it was up to me to rely the Council request to the band.

Then there's "Endless Love". This was our exit my Senior year. For those of you who are "non-band" folk, an exit is the last song in the performance. Usually a ballad or a slow moving piece that builds up into a crescendo and levels of the end or a restatement of the opener. The music called for a mellophone - baritone duet. Well the chosen one happened to be sweethearts so when the kissed at the end of the song, it was something cause it came as two pieces floated together to form a heart. Man, I wished I could find my tape of that year. But the last game of the season, was an away game. I learned to play Marching Baritone over the Summer. I was functional enough to march. I thought I was good enough to perform the solo. I did get that chance at the South Cobb game. I was paired up with the Australian Exchange Student. We didn't kiss at the end, but I had the most subtle and graceful bow I could ever thing. And it is lost to history.

And there were countless other songs that took me back to a different time. A simpler time. Richie spoke about that from his heart. He sees what is going on. We speak about "those people." It turns out that WE are those people. We are not enemies he is trying to say. That arena was filled with Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Christians, Muslims, Jews, and non-believers. We were one. Music transported me back to that time where we weren't "those people". We were just people.

But the hour had come for us to return to 2023. A lot of people who were of a certain age, will be feeling it tomorrow. Some may call in sick. Some may have already planned to be out. But all can say they went back in time to have a Good Time. And what a time we had!

I feel like modern au zuko can drive, is very good at it, has his license, and will get you where you need to go but like. with very dangerous efficiency. he drives like Evel Knievel. he drives like a bat out of hell. he whips the wheel hard as fuck and you will see Jesus even if the drive is from your house to the corner store. his car is used and like 10 years old but she is strong and loyal just like her master and wont break down for anything. she'll tear over anything in her path. zuko has given iroh so many mini heart attacks while driving him around (<- because iroh does NOT have his license). worst of all is that zuko does NOT talk or road rage ever when he drives he's DEAD SILENT and simply blasts the radio. and its always either terrifying Chinese opera or crazy shit like Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Vampire AU, Vampire AU, Vampire AU. Preferably Near Dark!Vampire AU with Billy as the vamp and Steve as the well meaning small town farm boy who ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time, flirting with the wrong pretty drifter, trying so hard to impress him because oh my g o d there is just something so intriguing about him and Steve wants to give him a reason to stick around. Little does he know Billy targeted him, wants a mate to spend eternity with, sires Steve while they’re making out, kidnaps Steve and brings him home to his dysfunctional and most definitely criminal vamp family.

The scene outside the Byers house, mostly because I think that Billy was completely in the right to be weirded out and also because it’s nice to see their dynamic outside of a school setting (because even the Halloween party feels like a school setting, Billy is so damn performative, making sure he shows off to all of his new peers). Their dynamic shifts a little when they’re on more equal footing, less ousted vs reigning king and more “two guys with something to protect meeting on a level playing field.” Dacre and Joe did a really great job portraying that, imo.

Honestly I've literally never seen anyone talk about her before, until now! And that hc with her and Robin intrigued me. I think they would make a cool couple (or if not, best friends even). dads harringrove? you got it, if they adopt a baby, billy really likes to let them take naps on his chest so steve will just come home from work sometimes and find them napping on the couch together 🥺 OR them teaching their teenager how to drive and steve being the calm one who handles stressful driving experiences well vs billy who is just. loud and grips the handle thingys and half the time just tells the kid to pull over so he can take over and just narrates what hes doing

yes!!! plus, billy's the perfect size for one-arm-holds. he could multitask, AND still have his baby napping on him. he just tucks the kid in his arm and continues reading aloud from one of his books, letting the baby doze off to the sound of his voice. billy loves having that little reassuring weight on his chest (and when they start sleep-training their baby, billy’s the one that’s struggling- not the kid. steve has to stop him from sneaking the baby into their bed on multiple occasions).

sometimes, steve comes home late from work to a children's animated movie playing loudly on the tv while billy is laying on the couch with their kid's head on his chest (both of them fast asleep).

and steve has to stand there for a good ten minutes just staring at them (maybe snapping a few pictures) while his heart swells in his chest looking at his two favourite people. ALSO. he carries their little baby into bed, placing gentle kisses on their forehead as he tucks them in before going back into the living room so that he could carry billy to bed too. (bskbdwebljebl and billy's like slightly stirring awake when steve moves to pick him up and steve's just like “i got you, it’s okay go back to sleep, bee.” ok im so soft for this rn).

but also LOOK (im aboutta go off on a tangent). there’s a reason billy’s so paranoid. he honest to god thinks his kid is going to deliberately crash his car as PAYBACK for something he did to them when they were younger (what is said something he did™️? ok so. i can imagine steve and billy- it was mostly billy’s idea tbh- buying one of these mini electric cars for their kid when they’re younger. and one day billy’s curious, okay. so he fucking ‘takes this bad boy for a spin’ and manages to crash it into a tree or something and breaks it. the kid has a whole meltdown and steve makes billy sleep on the couch). SO YEA, billy’s just convinced his kid is gonna crash his precious camaro.

hi i just had a really cute idea; its baby jacks first halloween but the bunker is out in the middle of nowhere so trick or treating will be kinda hard SO what they do is have jack go knock on all the rooms in the bunker and some random winchester/family member will be in there in a costume to give him candy! (and in my head i had jack in a winnie the pooh costume with cas in an eyore one leading jack around and maybe dean in a tigger one? idk but here)
