🐚: do you like or dislike surprises?

in general, yes! tbh it's been my dream for a long time to have someone throw me a surprise birthday party cause i feel like it would be so awesome. i think surprises can be such a fun way to show that you love and understand someone, but i also think it's super important to make sure that you're respecting people's boundaries when planning surprises. in reading fic, i always love a good plot twist, as long as it's not an untagged major character death or something massively triggering.

🥤: recommend an author or fanfic you love

i literally have over 1200 fics bookmarked so it's so hard for me to pick even a couple fics to recommend so i'm just gonna recommend some of my favorite authors. for thiam, my absolute favorite is @eneiryu, who writes the most beautiful incredible post canon fics i've ever read in my life and has written genuinely some of my favorite fics of all time. also for thiam, but with some really good merlin fics too, is @istalria. if you haven't read their thiam brainrot series, do it right now. @attempted--eloquence writes the most beautiful and poetic shit i've ever read in my life, i have in fact literally cried reading more than one of their fics. also thiam: @theoceanismyinkwell, @raekensarcher, @inabottlelikelightning, @chasing-chimeras, @honeyscapes, and @fallingforboys are all absolutely incredible. also to round out the rest of my most-read ships, for firstprince i 100% recommend @clottedcreamfudge, @kiwiana-writes, @hypnostheory, and @railmedaddy (who also writes amazing schitt's creek and 911LS stuff!) a recent fave of mine has also been @sighonaraa who writes the literal best ted lasso fics EVER

🍄: share a headcanon for one of your favorite ships

okay one of my main headcanons for thiam (obviously, since i literally wrote an entire fic about it) is that in the elevator scene, theo heard liam's heart skip when he said he wouldn't die for him, so he fully knew he was lying but didn't say anything because he knew it wasn't the right time. totally different ship, but i also headcanon that alex and henry get tattoos in each other's handwriting post canon, probably of their favorite lines from one of the emails or a line of poetry they both love as a way of reclaiming something that was stolen from them

this one has been in my drafts for ages, I actually have a moodboard made for it lol — it’s post canon thiam where theo finds out that using a wood burning kit he can give himself tattoos and him & scott go kinda haywire with it and liam is halfway concerned and halfway ready to climb theo like a tree

excerpt- It starts when Theo asks Scott how he got his tattoo, Scott explained that he had to have Derek burn it onto him and Liam could see the spark start in Theo’s eye. He hadn’t said anything about it that night, or the days following, but Liam’s pretty sure whatever plan had started in Theo’s head is about to come to life.

yes it’s just an excuse to write tattooed theo cause I do firmly believe he’d be covered in his 20s if it wasn’t such a pain for werewolves to get them

Half an hour later, Liam pushed the now empty plate away, feeling completely stuffed full from the food and using the free water he had been given to try wash away some of the pieces of chicken he could feel stuck in his teeth.

He was glad he remembered to grab some of the small picks from the kitchen, trying to use his phone camera and the sunlight above to pick out the more stuck strands.

Liam didn't even know how concentrated he had gotten at the task until ashadow appeared above blocking the sunlight. He looked up to be met with amused green eyes.

"Struggling there?" Theo asked, his voice a little teasing while Liam scrambled to sit more upright and put the small picks away.

Liam's brain shortcuited a little as the waiter chuckled, and the sound did something to his insides. He could feel his cheeks flushing red under the gaze of Theo’s eyes.

'Jesus, get it together man' He screamed to himself in his head.

"That everything or you want something else?" Theo asked, leaning down to collect Liam’s empty plate and glass. The tattoo he had noticed earlier was now a little more visible beneath the rolled up sleeves, the edge of a moon, and a few more black lines showing.

'You' Liam’s mind helplessly supplied, eyes widening unsure if that came out verbally or was just in his head based on Theo’s amused smirk widening.

"No, no, I'm good." He squeaked, praying with everything in him that he hadn't made a total fool of himself. "Well, unless you guys have got a prom date on the menu."

And then he opened his mouth again..... Liam could feel his cheeks burning red.

"You know, I think we just stopped serving those, low inventory." Theo replied humorously, shaking his head and failing to hide the slight grin. Fuck if it wasn't a pretty smile at that - and that was the first time he had ever called a smile 'pretty'.

"Looks like you have incoming." The waiter whispered, nodding his head towards the entrance and walking away with the empty plates in hands.

Liam groaned internally, turning to see Mason and Nolan making their way across the restaurant to his table.

“Okay, actually, pay attention this time,” Theo huffed, turning back to Isaac, purposefully ignoring the two different growls. 

One made him smile while the other had him wincing. Whoever had decided to put both Liam and Malia in this week’s group was insane. Each of them alone was distracting enough, for wholly opposite reasons. He rolled his shoulders, trying to shake off the lingering, whatever that clung onto him whenever the werecoyote was around. Three months was plenty of time to work out her fucking issues, or it should have been, so he thought. But no. A quarter of a year later, and here he was still dealing with the threats of snapped necks, bullets to the gut, or claws in his throat on a near daily basis. To top it all off, every time Malia so much as looked in his direction, Liam was growling on posturing, regardless of how many times he had been told it wasn’t his fight. The whole situation was so utterly fucked, all three of them near constantly on edge and the rest of the pack slowly getting thoroughly embroiled in it. 

A sharp blow to his sternum knocked him back and the air from his chest. Theo’s eyes snapped back into focus, gold flaring in them as he snarled for a split second. Staring back at him, an eyebrow cocked halfway up to his stupid blind curls and mouth opening like he was about to say something that was going to just make the whole thing worse, was Isaac. The dull ache from the blow faded to the background, his focus sliding into place, narrowing to the “enemy” in front of him.

a katana with an image of a girl on the blade bc he feels he needs to be reminded of who sent him to hell and the experience itself bc he has so much goddamn guilt around it and he knows he deserved it.

a chimera drawing to commemorate the chimera pack that he once created. he feels guilty for what he did.

the names of Tara, Tracy, and Josh, each in their own handwriting. he wants to never forget them and this is his way of honoring them and remembering what he did bc again; he has soo much guilt surrounding who he used to be.

this one is so faint i don’t even know why i kept it but it’s his truck. he’s still attached to his truck and even if he doesn’t sleep in it anymore it’ll always be one of his safe places.

a wolf made of mechanical parts as a reminder that he’s not a real werewolf. he got this one before the chimera one.

this is the first one he got! it’s an anatomically correct heart with an off/on switch on it. he tried to keep up the “heartless bastard” image for a while after he came back.

a person with a thunderstorm for a head bc omg does theo have some mental health issues. he had such bad anxiety and PTSD from hell that he feels stormy a lot so he got this as an expression of that.

a plague doctor mask to remember one of the dread doctors. you can’t see it but he actually has all three of the masks in a column down his arm. he hates the trauma the dread doctors gave him but at the same time they made him who he is in basically every sense of the word so he feels weirdly - i don’t wanna say indebted bc it’s not that but also there’s not a better word for it so whatever - indebted to them.

best for last!!! this is Μύκονος which is Mykonos in Greek! it’s a tribute to when he first admitted to himself that he was in love with liam :) he knew he loved liam before then but he wasn’t emotionally at a place to admit it to himself until the zoo.
