He tried to get in contact with her on the way there, but communication was always tricky with her job

After Ultear was like, reinstated (or whatever the word is) she dragged them both to a bunch random events and restaurants and just a lot of places

Gray pulls the ‘poor sweet little brother’ and ‘and here I thought you were a good older [brother/sister]’ card on them at every denial they give him

Gray lets Ultear, Jellal, and Meredy crash/hide at his place if they want, it allowed him to get to know them, and for them to have a safe haven

Gray told Erza after a couple months of this going on and she started suspiciously visiting Grays house more often

So in my HCs, Bad is a Wither Demon! They are more or less my fancy vision of a Wither Skeleton, obv his design has come VERY far and you wouldn't know that if I didnt mention it probbaly LOL

Wither Demons cannot typically shapeshift, or have other forms but Bad can because he learned magic and uses it frequently! So his "true" form is his big 9'6 one, but the one he uses most often is his shorter demon form to help blend in, be less scary, and for practicality and fitting in smaller spaces.

This is about the size comparison?? kinda?? bad is wearing platforms in the first render though LOL There arent many demons who live in the overworld, so he's self concious about his size and certain features like his mouth and tail/feet/wings In his smaller form, his wings are way too small to carry him, or even glide so theyre essentially useless besides a little more dexterity I guess?? He can easily maintain his smaller form constantly, as long as he takes an hour or two in his regular form every once in a while (I have an idea that during purgatory he would abuse this and be forced into his regular form mwhaha)

ANYWAYS, his smaller form is actually one he designed himself, so most people who meet him don't know what kind of critter he is but just go w it lol

For his "human" form, that's a little different! Bad is NOT a human in my hc, that's his human disguise! It's similar to his smaller demon form, but is a LOT more tricky because of it being a whole anatomy change in a lot more ways (like going from cold to warm blooded, how he breathes, the amount of joints in his legs, the obv loss of his wings and tail, ect) and is actually one he did not design himself. He uses a spell that is veryyy very hard to keep up for longer than a few hours, and cannot decide how he looks :o but after using the spell for years he is able to maintain the form for days on end (with breaks ofc)

When he switches forms. it's like a strange magic cloud sometimes but can also be quick and subtle like a chameleon changing colors

So the cyrillic alphabet was based on the greek alphabet just like the latin alphabet and therefore theres a lot of greek letters in russian

disclaimer for reading rules (you can skip this part)

i need to mention that the russian letters denote sounds but in russian theres such a phonetical phenomenon called reduction and you can hear this as a part of russian accent in english when bed sound like bet, fog like foc, sob like sop etc (b, d, g & others at the end -> p, t, k). Also o, a, e vowels are pronounced differently in different parts of the word... And sadly for russian learners the stress on the words is flexible and changes bc of different reasons. And theres no way you can see stress marks on the words except if youre looking at them in the dictionary.. yeah. So if the pronunciation doesnt make sense thats why

There are 33 letters in russian alphabet. P.s. ['] means its a soft, palatalized sound, like british l in a word village

ENGLISH w is generally у, can be в. q is к (qu is кв), j/g is дж, x is кс, h is г in the begging of the names/foreigh words like hannibal is ганнибал

SPANISH ñ is нь, pls google other cases

PORTUGUESE nh is нь, lh is ль, pls google other cases

general advice try transliterating like Fit -> Фит, so every letter/cluster of letters in the original language correlates with similar letter in russian. but in french portuguese and spanish you have to pay close attention to pronunciation, more than to the spelling cuz Ricardo will be Рикардо for spanish but Рикарду for portuguese etc etc

As someone who's had a Shedinja for a while now, they can be tricky to handle but not in the way people usually expect. I like to walk mine every once in a while (I just tie a rope around it for a leash) and I always get questions like "Aren't you worried about it stealing your soul?" or "How does it even eat?" but NEVER "How do you keep it from fainting every time there's a strong breeze?" or "How can you afford all those revives?"

A healthy and happy Shedinja is completely harmless. They can barely move! And I'm pretty sure the whole spirit-stealing thing the Pokedex talks about is a myth- it might get uncomfortable (or even aggressive) if you look into the hole on its back for too long, but stealing your spirit is a total exaggeration. Meanwhile, if a flying type so much as looks at Achilles, my Shedinja, they'll just faint right then and there. I've seen Achilles faint because the window was cracked open a little on a windy day. I've seen Achilles faint because they got a little bit too close to a hot bowl of soup. I can't always drop what I'm doing to go to a pokecenter every single time Achilles faints, so I have to stock up on revives. A lot of revives. So many revives. The only thing that keeps Achilles from draining my wallet is a combination of the occasional help of the focus band I got them and sheer force of will. I love that little guy to death and beyond, but sometimes it's a little ridiculous.

yowch. yeah, shedinja is an extremely frail pokémon, sorry about all that trouble. have you considered getting achilles a pair of Safety Goggles? theyre a little expensive, but could probably save you its cost in revives if so many little hazards are bothering your shedinja.

TRICKY QUESTION i'm always a sucker on "fuck around and you'll find out" dynamic. as in. i WANT them to be canon but theyre much funnier and much fun-er if they're not so i always just fuck around until they actually get together at some point

akito surely doesn't mind it, toya also thinks it works to let out stress. but sometimes akito gets a little bit embarrassed wheneer toya tries to comfort him or like. hug him afterwards, saying stuff like comforting things to him as payback for helping him release those stress (he thinks its nice of toya to be so considerate of his feelings but it always come back to akito questioning his own)

best places to find ethically sourced bones-

railroad tracks:

- be careful doing this, parts of these (at least in my area) are considered private property, however parts are not, and it can be difficult to tell which parts are and which are not. look out for signs. also dangerous. stay off to the sides at all times and do NOT cross the tracks, for any reason, unless at an assigned crossing- during the allotted time period. trains will not stop for you, they are not able to do that- and sometimes they may not even see you. be constantly looking over your shoulder and read up more on railroad safety. however- many animals get caught in the tracks and are hit by trains, or simply their bones can be found by the side of the tracks, so this makes it quite a great place to find many bones.

near bodies of water:

-my favourite body of water is along the riverside. this is a great place to find many fish bones, as well as the bones of the animals who come to find the fish. fisherman also may discard fish off on the riverside if they are not happy with what they have caught. just be careful not to be in a metropark! overall not super dangerous, and a great place to find bones, but limited on the types youll find.

rubbish piles:

-this one typically finds racoons, opossums, rats, mice, dogs, cats, and other animals of the sort. but that gives a pretty good range. be careful of the live animals youre bound to find rummaging round in there though. you can usually find whole skeletons, and theyre usually already cleaned really well (of the flesh) because of the, again, live animals. clean them extra well because of the diseases these animals carry while being in these environments. overall, another excellent option for different varieties of bones.

state parks:

-this one is iffy, it depends entirely on which state park, and what the individual rules are. some state parks allow you to scavenge things like mushrooms, and hunt, which doesn't explicitly state, but obviously would include bones. however some do not. but if they do, take full advantage of it, its an incredible opportunity, and even take advantage of all being able to use the hunters at your disposal (for information only of course), which brings me to the last location on my list.

dumping sites:

-my personal favourite, dumping sites are where hunters discard parts/carcasses they do not have need or want for. bones are typically among these parts, thus making it peak scavenging grounds for anyone looking for bones! one downside however is that they can be quite tricky to find, and can typically only be found by actually asking around a group of hunters to find out which dumping site the majority of them use. but when you find one oh boy, its all worth it, so many different types of bones, so many different animals, so many different sizes, its everything you could ever want, or ask for. so take the chance and ask around. its worth it. trust me.

hey i have no idea how dex works n you seem to be a huge enthusiast of their character so can u like.. yap about dexters personality a bit (/nf!!). im trying to work out their personality but im really confused on how to characterize them. so far, ive got some little bullet points. for a little headcanon or whatever ? i think they'd have huge interests that would be seen as a little odd, like, taxidermy or something. theyre like, a freak. also, i think itd have to do more research on with aspd since dex does have thatttt. uuuhm. oh yeah, a good note is that theyre not like. "Evil!! grah!! i kill people because im EVIL" cuz thats not them. they struggle with their emotions, morals, and needs. which i think also goes into the possibility of really bad intrusive thoughts perhaps.

like. they seem to have some of their morality intact (as they dont attack skid n pump immediately) before slowly spiraling and trying to hurt anyone they come across. dex also focuses on animals specifically because they dont believe that they dont feel emotion. they try to justify their behavior through beliefs and desperation to satisfy their persistent thoughts. they also run off the thrill of others pain. and i dont think theyre exactlyyy.. oblivious to the fact that this is a really bad problem, but more that they use being an exterminator to filter their needs into a.. "safer" (and in all honesty, an easier) way.

sorry for the whole ramble, but thats really all i can get so far with their character. also so sorry if this question is weird, but id just like a little input or ur idea of their character lol. no pressure tho ^_^

dont apologise i LOVE talking about dexter it Is really tricky to completely understand him kinda because of how all over the place all the things we have about him are . i was actually thinking earlier about how if sm got like adapted to a show like what happened with dhmis/ maybe we could see more of dexter and understand him better . i think ive talked about this before but i absolutely think theres kind of a thing where people see dexter as WAY more outwardly chaotic than he really is just bc well that’s like 95% of his screentime . how i really think he is is he Can get really easily excited and restless and with a lot of people it’ll drive them away (one of the characters i like to think has this dynamic with him is radford i dont know why i like the thought so much but i do) but he really is just like. hes a sweetheart he loves to draw and make stuff and hes just very smiley and laughs a lot . he isnt afraid to put himself out but he can also get like grumpy and snappy when hes paranoid Thats another thing. ive noticed in pelo’s doodles that sometimes hes portrayed complaining or just like with an irritated expression . i think while he Is a very happy go lucky type character it’s not difficult at all for him to get like . hostile for lack of better word? just annoyed at other people for something that could be really little or unintentional. i have no real point to this this probably will not help you much at all i apologise but the thing is i kinda think there’s No wrong way you can go with dexter in any way. he is such a good character that every aspect of him never feels tired or boring or really wrong to me

But uhh tldr kinda . maybe try to like nail it in that he’s just trying his best. for me thats a really big part of his character just the fact that despite everything that could potentially hold him back he always keeps his head up and just tries to do whatever he can and thats what the focus of his character would be if he wasn’t in a story that had his role revolve around his death. i hope this helps in Some way thank u very much for asking

Ruffle Cuff Text-Based Instructions

I know people learn different ways, sometimes by following instructional steps from text based explanations or by having a visual aid. This will not have a visual aid, but if you guys would like one, I will def rewrite this post with pictures.

Step 1: Make a 2 x Base cuff in any colors you like!

Step 2: once your 2 X is done, either string to a top connector bead or tie some elastic on next to a connector beads

(connector beads are the beads that well, connect everything, theyre usually the center of an X)

Step 3: Imagine youre making a rotating cuff essentially and go to the area where you need to make bumpers. (if that's a better explanation, it's the top row of the X base) the first go around is to string 3 beads (instead of 5) through your connector beads and go all the way around the top of the cuff. should look like it's got little pyramids or spikes on one end when youre finished. Step 4: route your string to come out of one of these points from the bead at the very tip of the point and now we string five beads all around, going through the mini spikes

NOTE: with this cuff, it's a game of when to pull tight and when to let your elastic be looser, the looser your elastic, the floppier the cuff, but you do want it to have some structure with tight string to keep it flared out!

Step 5: after you've strung 5 beads around, it should look like the start of a carousel cuff. You're gonna go around again, this time still with 5 beads, the cuff should look a little dorky at that point, dont worry, you're doing it right lol it should look like a big disk on one end of the cuff.

Step 6: now, bring your string to the tip of the 5 beads and string on seven! beads, this is where the cuff has the potential to become floppy so dont *tightly* pull, but make sure it's not flopping around.

Step 7: string 7 more beads, still going through the center of the tips of all of the spikes. once youre on your second round, it becomes rounder instead of pointy.

Step 8: so the last step is to string 7 more beads and go around the entire cuff. dont worry if they look a little odd, it's going to. and the 7 beads should round off the edges instead of creating spikes. once youre at that point, you can tie it off and wear it. or some of yall crazy people would want to continue it.

Step 9 (optional): if youre going to keep going, you need to make your increments in ODD numbers. like dont string 8 beads, because then you'll be off by a bead. so if you want to go past 7, i would recommend to start stringing 9 beads as you go around. or make a more dramatic leap to 11 beads which should help to round it out more, but it will get more round as you go, rather than spiky.

when wearing it for the first time, you kind of have to push the ruffle down for the desired effect bc otherwise it can just look like on big disk on your arm. you kind of want to shape it into being a ruffle, the stiffer your cuff is, the harder time youre gonna have getting the ruffle to lay down nice so remember! not too tight! but a little tight for structure

you can use this photo as a reference for where youre supposed to put 5 vs 7 beads. it should also form some X's similar to an X based cuff, but those are also just connector beads

WARNING: making this all white can be tricky if you dont count your beads right, you may want to make your connector beads a different color as an easier guide.
