Buster x Suki: Really Don’t Ship It

So, I do not ship this for two main reasons. One being that there was no real moments I saw that could be read as romantic. They were legitimately just doing their jobs in every scene. And for the scenes where Suki is helping stop Crystal, I think pretty much anyone would have willing stopped an active murder attempt, that's just being a good person.

And two, the big one, there would definitely be a power inbalance in this relationship. In both instances, either at the Majestic or at Crystal Theatre, Buster is technically Suki's boss. And there's a reason that employer/employee relationships are at the very least very frowned upon by almost all companies. It's usually a horrible idea due to one partner being in a position of power over the other which can be, and sadly historically has been, used to abuse or manipulate the lower ranking in the company partner.

Do I think Buster would do that? No. But I also don't think that a relationship between a boss and employee would be looked upon positively by anyone around them or by Suki and Buster themselves. Suki was just in an abusive workplace, I don't think she would risk a situation like that again.

There's also the comment that Suki was much younger than what the troupe was expecting her to be. That implied that Buster is older than her and we have no idea how big that age gap is. Is it ten years? Twenty? Five? We have no idea, and until we do, that does cast the ship into a much more iffy light to me.

For me to like it, there would need to not be a power inbalance in their relationship. Again, employer/employee relationships are not a good idea, especially not legally. I would also like clarification that their age gap is not that large for this, since even Rosita commented on the fact that Suki was much younger than they were all expecting.

I mean, it's interesting? It would be an interesting dynamic to work with of a chaotic impulsive partner and one that is very structured in the way they do things.

Johnny x Nooshy: Really Don't Ship It (they're siblings to me).

Now, I do get why people do ship these two, I just never personally saw it. Not only is Johnny's story a queer coded one (I explain more in my Rynny ship game ask), but to me the two behave like siblings. Honestly, they act like siblings. They support each other and are there for each other, but Nooshy does encourage Johnny into participating in dangerous activities (jumping out the window, continuing to fight when he should have gotten help), like an older sibling does. None of that came across as romantic to me.

In fact, during their first meeting Nooshy does think that Johnny is asking her out which he immediately clarifies that he is not. If there had been some attraction there already, I do think that Johnny would have at least responded differently (maybe more hesitation or stumbling over words, he is a character that behaves awkwardly in emotional moments).

Not only that but they seem to be in very different places in their lives. Johnny is just figuring things out. He started singing professionally max around two years earlier and has been acting the same amount of time. He's new to his industry, just starting to dip his toes into the water. Nooshy on the other hand, is hinted at being an experienced dancer. She's been preforming and existing in her field for much longer. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she was getting ready to start her own dance group or start choreographing. She's a professional. That difference would cause a ton of issues in a relationship in my opinion, as Nooshy is at the point that she can start going up the ranks in her career while Johnny is still figuring out what he wants to actually do.

That life stage plus Johnny's approach to life being more cautious and playing it safe, in comparison to Nooshy's impulsive and risk-taking attitude, I honestly don't think a relationship would last very long if it were to happen at all. I feel like they would butt heads too much over that sort of thing and while those differences work well with sibling dynamics, it does not work in a relationship.

If they were both on the same page in life, we know for a fact that they can communicate, and have seen they behave in an implied romantic manner (not just friends or siblings), then yes, I could see it.

Like I said earlier, I see where people are coming from, I just honestly don't get it. But still, almost everyone I've ever met who ships this are really lovely people so, other than my opinions, I don't have anything negative to say about it.

Headcanon that bludhaven hates heroes with a flaming passion bc theyre just cops in tights but love Nightwing and therefore vehemently deny his hero status to anyone and everyone.

you were going against huge names- your teammate sha’carri richardson who was the fastest woman in the world and the famous jamaican runners who were known for dominating that iconic red and white track.

and then there was just you- a girl who managed to pass through the trials and made the 2024 olympic team. crazy thing how the biggest celebrator of your accomplishment was your boyfriend though.

throwing a small party for you and everything because of making the team while usually its you celebrating him cause of well… hes probably becoming the best right now winning soccers biggest trophy at only 18, getting into probably one of the biggest- if not the hugest club in the world, and breaking records on records.

and you were over here competing against his national teams track team before finals on his countries on soil (which you hope he didnt take too personally)

you dont even really remember how you two met cause it was such a blur. it went by so fast!

kylian noticed- immediately keeping it in mind.

she walked out of the stadium after receiving that bronze medal- headphones in with a defeated look before getting tackled by kylian.

Dragon’s rebellious phase began in full when he was too strong/fast/big for Garp to feel it was worth the effort to pin him down and give him a proper shave.

Whats the line between “questionable workplace daycare” and “early naval education” and “junior recruit”? When does Dragon go from being a paycheck reduction (no way theyre watching/“educating” a kid for free) to a bonus (good job cleaning those latrines “Garp”) to a separate paycheck?

Think they charge back for that sort of thing? Like do junior recruits have lousy pay because theyre being ‘compensated’ with training for a marine career — or does Dragon graduate from training into some sort of “payment plan” to pay off whatever Garp hasn’t by the time he’s a legal adult.

Haha, well. I don‘t actually know. I mean Garp seems like the kind of guy who will simply impose on others to keep an eye on the kid. I don‘t know if they can make Garp pay for watching the kid - once he is in charge of recruits then some of them are probably put on baby duty?

But it is an interesting question to consider when Dragon might actually officially join and if by then he‘s already quite experienced by the time he does. I wonder where the kid grew up - in Goa? In marine bases? On ships? Did he go to school? Was there a mom who took care of him when Garp was at work? Etc etc.

But I like to imagine that recruits get a small salary and I doubt they‘ll make Dragon pay back for Garp‘s parenting choices X‘D

(We saw Garp take in Koby and Helmeppo to train so young Dragon might be assigned to someone too? Who would dare to deal with Garp‘s son though? *lol*)

1) as SOON as the lights came up i was RAKING the ensemble for harry lake  and there he was

2) jordan as tall and commanding in his presence as ever. Spoke "ticket" VERRRRRY fast. Strong "law" on Meaning of the law. Harsh "yes" , on Yes, 24601, and obviously on Javert when he tells Valjean his name. Also held onto the yellow slip which uhhhhh classic

3) Valjean harsh-growl on "lord" in "lord forgive them"

4) Harry lake was hangin out by the stairs in the parole scene. He was also the one to throw the bag at Valjean. Lmfao

5) understudy bishop again! As last time, quite stern rather than gentle like Adam Pearce

6) Valjean spitting "good" in Done a bit of good.

7) bishop harsh on "that is right", as well as Quite loud and harsh on "passion", then quiet on the next line

8) valjean sobbing when bishop hands him his bag back :-((

9) during valjean's soliloquy, slight pause for stolen time after "so far" in Fallen so far, growled "if theres another", entire "gave me a number and murdered valjean" was spoken. "Soul" in Touched my soul verrrry upset-like . Growled "hate" in Hate the world. He also wiped his face on "i'll be back". He was doing a lot of sniffling from this point in the song as well which i liked . Voice crack on "soul" on Touched my soul which i fw. Pause on Reaching like "Reach. Ing". Upset on "Reaching but I fall", and a VERY strong final note.

10) At the end of the day as per an absolute banger - tom hext is the MOST visible ensemble member during this number, its great . Harry was being elusive but I ended up spotting him with tom in the factory . On the topic of Tom, he apparently did the hugest bitchiest eye roll ever when fantine says "and i pay for the child, what's the matter with that?" Which is so funny

11) katie hall AS USUALLLL TEARING UP DA STAGE🗣🗣🗣 delectable performance , lovely little suspended pause on "Life...... worth living". More goosebumps than usual too ohmy god this song is so good live. Also some sobbing between "autumn came" and "still i dream" .... HOLY SCHMOLY what a voice

12) tom and harry were the 2nd and third dudes at the start of lovely ladies . Not important but it is to me . As usual harry gets his arse slapped after "take all year" as he stumbles offstage LMFAOOO

17) YOUPIEE! Breaking: My Ship Touched Each Other. Valjean puts a hand on Javert's shoulder to hold him back from Fantine .

18) hm, gayest cart scene ive seen so far . First we got the classic extended bicep touch as they make eye contact ("a memory stirs"). Javert harsh delivery on "broke" in Broke his parole. Half spoken "Of course" in Of course he now denies it. Harsh on "he couldnt run forever". Back to the gay shit, he walks RIGHT up to valjean, then once theyre basically cock to cock he glances down at his tits, then back up in time to push his face into valjean's for "this time there is no mistake", making sure to spit that T in mistake. Im taking they were inches away from each other. Insane.

19) milan was kinda looking down for Who Am I and all i could think about were how good his brows looked from this angle . Only note i took for who am i , other than mentioning how javert took his cravat after he takes it off in the courtroom. You can hear on the audio i took me saying "he's gonna sniff that tonight"

20) katie hall as always unreal as mentioned but shes seriously so good during this scene, her notes are still so strong despite being also so convincingly frail, duuude. Insane. Her and milan are such a heartbreaking duo its FAB

21) confrontation SWEEP🗣 valjean's spoken "listen to me". Javert kinda snaps "you must" very suddenly which is hilarious . Additional note but jordan's figure works so well for the confrontation and javert in general, or at least the way i view him so is it any wonder im so fond of him . Dude's hench . Makes him all the more imposing in all of javert's layers and coats .. delectable. All that grunting and groaning during the fight though Also his mouth wipe after he gets strangled Helloooo get out. At this point i wrote "shit punch" cause valjean's last punch at the end of the scene kinda sucked .

22) i forgot the actress but little cosette is sooo sweet shes lovely bless. Castle on a cloud is underrated i love that song .

i bought this book for my 5 year old daughter. she kept waking me up in the middle of the night for weeks beforehand. it was normal, kids do that, kids are scared of monsters. but i would always read her i spy. we have every other edition, down to the miniature versions and the seasonal ones. eventually, she learned where everything was, though, and the books got boring, so i looked up 'i spy books' for the 80th time this month. it brought me here, and i purchased the book for shipping.

the very next day it was brought here, and i was astonished at first, but once i saw the condition of how it was packed, i figured why it came so fast. it was a wreck, the corners all beat, a handful of packing peanuts and some thin paper tossed cattywompus inside. the shippers mustve played hacky-sack with it before tossing it up to the house

even so, my girl was excited. she had completely forgotten about the supposed monsters, she just wanted the book. it's a unique edition for sure, instead of looking for small items on a small scale, it just looks like pictures of parks or buildings, along with riddles like 'i spy a tricycle, i spy ten cards, i spy a crack in concrete that's hard'. it was a change of pace for me, even- a challenge. but my daughter was doing phenomenally.

the photographer must be local to my area, because i recognized the photos soon. hell, i think i saw the back of my head in the bank one. but it got strange when it came to a picture of a street.

now im thinking, 'maybe it's personalized, it's google maps, and they look up the address for the buyer before they send it out?' but that was... impossible. after i ordered the book it came the very next day, there was no way theyd be able to just cram this page in last second. not only that, but there was the riddle.

i shut the book on that page and told my daughter to go to bed. there was fuss, but something was wrong. i tuck her in and she complains again about monsters in the window. all through the night, theres monsters in the window, and i snap at her when she wakes me up the 3rd time.

at that point she was crying, and i was.. yelling. i dont feel good about it, god, especially not now, but i was tired and scared. thats no excuse. so was she.

after telling her it would be ok, she slept in my bed with me. i held her tight the whole night through, and i would do my research in the morning, i assured myself.

but i didnt het a chance. by sunrise she was gone. not in her bed, in her pillow fort, not in the kitchen, the den, nowhere. i phone the police, and i end up running down the street screaming her name.

as i get back home, though, i felt compelled to that damn book. god, why did i go back to that damn book??

Well. It took some digging, but there's your recommendation. We were able to get I Spy: Housewarming from the crime scene - or, more so, the wreckange. Donna was griefstruck, this adding onto the loss of her husband shortly before this, leading to a burst of arson. The book was recovered just fine, seemingly one of the Leitners that can withstand some flames.

- Nina sometimes ends up drinking or smoking too much and comes home sick and a mess. Kate just softly scolds her, gives her stupid drunk gf a kiss, and takes her to bed

- She wakes up changed into pajamas, not a clue what happened, Kates already gone doing god knows what. But man its so much nicer for her knowing shes being taken care of

- Kate started off being very against the idea of make up, dressing up, nails done, etc. Until one night after Nina had spent hours begging Kate to let her do her makeup. Nina leaned in so close, so close. Kate didn’t get why her heart was beating so fast, or why she kept eyeing the girls lips. She thought she was getting sick again or something

- After that, she was more open to the idea. Especially since its an excuse to have Nina touch her. And she hasn’t been touched as if she was anything but a monster in so long

- Nina is soft, happy, a loving lover. She absolutely showers Kate with affection and is horribly devoted. She has a journal she doodles and writes in. 90% of that journal is about Kate

- Kate skates, both board and roller skating. Roller derby was a huge interest of hers, but circumstances never really let her fully pursue it. So some nights Nina will take her to a desolate skatepark and Kate will teach Nina to skate

- Once she gets the hang of it, rollerskating dates are frequent. One time, when she was still learning, Nina slipped and busted her ass. Kate laughed so hard water came out of her nose, before she ran to Ninas side to check on her

- Nina was fine of course, but god was she unresponsive. All she could think about was that strong, rough laugh. She started doing everything she could to make Kate laugh, even bought herself a “how to be funny” book

- I headcanon Nina to have BPD. Kate is very good at being her FP, and handles her episodes well. It took Nina awhile to learn how to manage her own episodes as well, especially after she relied so heavily on certain behaviours to get attention from Jeff

- But Kate helped her learn how to calm herself down, how to control her emotions and overthinking. And everyone noticed the improvement in her mental health. Having a person who cared, tried, understood

- And Kate is very protective. She was with Charlie, and she is with Nina. Absolutely no one gets to hurt her, talk bad about her, torment her. Toby went too far with a joke once and accidentally made Nina cry. Tim had to hold Kate back from breaking his jaw

- Theyre each others safe person, a place in the terrible, chaotic world they live in where they can find peace

- They have their own history, secrets, inside jokes. Nobody expected the two to get together, especially not a girl like Kate falling in love. But Nina saw that humanity in her and brought it out in ways nobody had even bothered to try, and Kates patience for her sunshine is infinite

- Surprisingly, works out very well
