#ed edd n eddy#home movies#crossover#i know you can kinda make parallels between the characters#especially late stage brendon#hes such a jerk i love him#him and eddy would both try and be the main character and bicker about it so hard#i think the home movies kids have that sarcastic edge that the eds cant really beat#double d is definitely better at it but hes not trying to start shit so he doesnt really have to worry about all that anyway#see they come from different genres so seeing them interact would be really interesting#like home movies is an adult show so the characters are more mature/intellegent on account of the writing#even though theyre way younger than the eds lol#oh man Edd would hear one of them curse and get all flustered like#“well I certainly wasnt speaking in such a distasteful manner at your age young man.”#then jason tells him to stop being a square and Melissa laughs at him a little#heheheheh compared to ed and edd theyre so baddddd#eddy wins in the 'maturity' (if you can call it that) and 'assholery' departments he could easily beat them at either of those#but he'd have to make up for the other 2 eds pretty hard lol#i think mellisa and edd would get along nicely though#its mostly eddy trying to scam them and the home movies kids not taking that shit#eddy and brendon wouldnt get along at all#mannnn brendon is so cute i got to the s3 finale hes such a kid its adorable#little fucker and hes only like 8#hes such a jerrrrrrrrk hehehehehehehehehehe

okay so as a gen 5 stan who does adore the story in bw and bw2, and now that gen 5 has experienced both a vicious hatedom that wouldnt hear a single positive thing about the games, and now a super protective fandom that insists they were perfect and had zero flaws... can we admit now that the bw1 story at least was. a little mid.
#just a little. just a little.#i am saying this as someone who adores it and loves the characters a lot#...... but good god team plasma kinda sucks ass as an evil organization#bw2 is sorta better about them with the split factions but in the first game theyre so obnoxious and come across as strawmen#the game talks about how the world is nuanced and not black and white and its not good to take extreme sides#but then. it sorta does that with the protagonists? by refusing to talk about abused pokemon that werent hurt by team plasma?#obviously they are wrong. the game hammers it in with a mallet. but is it really nuanced if our stance is ''ha ha thats silly''#and yeah groups like plasma exist irl but like. as someone who cares abt animal rights and stuff a lot. i feel like they fumbled it here#the answer shouldnt have been ''well ig some pokemon get hurt. we wont talk about them though. watch the grunt kick a munna''#it shouldve been about animal welfare. like maybe instead of becoming assistant professor; bianca couldve become a nurse joy#or she couldve joined some organization that rescues and rehabilitates pokemon from abusive trainers. maybe the reformed plasma from bw2#and before someone goes ''erm its a kids game they cant do that :/ thats too complicated'' first of all- the anime showed a malnourished te#tepig#kids can handle a bit of text next to a skittish lillipup thats like ''its scared of humans'' or something and its being cared for by someo#someone''#plus the side games were tackling much heavier shit at this point#also again they were apparently fine with a grunt kicking a munna and bragging about how he loves doing that so.#like even as a kid i felt like that scene was really over the top and stupid#team plasma feels less like an attempt to do commentary on harmful animal rights ideas that lead to ecofascism and dont care abt the animal#true needs#and more like gamefreak read a lot of obnoxious critical pokemon posts like ''lmao training is like dogfighting'' and ''this promotes anima#abuse!'' and just made a strawman out of those people. and like i agree thats all stupid but it sorta hurts the message of the game#that the world is very nuanced and taking extremes is bad and reductive.#and this isnt getting into poor story and gameplay integration and other stuff like underutilized characters (you know exactly who i mean)#idk. again i still adore the story and have a huge soft spot for it. but i think the only reason people say its perfect is out of defensive#defensiveness and not having engaged with a ton of video game stories. and pokemon stories not being fantastic in general#like i think pla is better put together story wise than this game and its got less going on than this#echoed voice

IVE FINALLY COME UP WITH NAMES FOR THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN MY STORY IM SO HAPPY
#their names are Tatzel and Rin!!!!!!!! theyre siblings and i wuv them like theyre my kids#Tatzel is a little girl* who was born with monster-ey features; specifically of the big cat variety#think less catgirl and more 'apex predator in the body of a small child'#Rin is a little boy* who was born with monstery bird-like features; not sure on a particular species yet#**Its Complicated(tm)#i also have ideas for adult/older characters who are also of the fucked up monster variety#particularly a little old moth-lady and a boar-person#theyre both adorable to me but i want very much for there to be an air of 'what the fuck is that thing' from others in the story#at least upon first meeting them#like okay imagine meeting a person with the most unsettling of animal features. eyes slightly too big with irises tht turn from wide saucers#to tiny slits#or someone that takes their hoody off and theyre a little /too/gangly and angular underneath. their bones r thin and hollow for flight#like have you ever seen a featherless owl?

BEEN thinking more about things thats Mentioned in early pt2 but is not exclusive to pt2, but...the way the Higher Up People are like "the sage controls mithra n oz" is alrdy such a funny thing cuz 1) r u srs 2) akira DOES talk back against both of them (akira calls oz a fool in like one of the first events LIKEEEEE) theyre so funny. especially when in a later event theyre Terrified of oz. oz n akira overall r rly neat to me but thats not the point here. CUZ whenever it continues into "control the sage n u control them" (them🤝figaro (but only the controlling for World Peace)).......? the struggle of "the manor (and all that entails) is in central" aside, its like i GET their thought process but also drummond going "will the wizards behave this time😠" and akira standing there like uuummmmm........maybe....probably......we shall see.... like. it gets so silly. the only control akira has is manipulating the northern wizards with praise. (long repetitive talk about the sage's heart chapter) anyway akira views them as friends, but i also cant rmbr if anyone has rly told these things To akiras face and im sssooooooo sad gil n akira didnt get to talk like. right when they met? cuz i rly wanted that... anyway i think about that sometimes. especially considering how everyones "oh lord i do Not wanna see a Kid control oz" (cain voice im NOT A KID), i think the outside views vs the actual things happenings r silly

there is an overpass next to one of my signal towers and lately a lot of parents have been taking there kindergarten/elementary school age kids there for trainspotting its delightful
