OMG HEYYYY OKAY OKAY gonna put this ramble under a cut so it doesn't get long but I have thoughts and FEELINGS on how these shrink dinks meet face to face. This may be a little all over the show because I love them and I'm doing this on my laptop to keep up typing with my stream of thought lmao

Don't offence to this as I mean it just as a funny thing that I observed but I think every starstruck shipper starts off with John getting shipped off to the agency and that's so funny to me. I started off with that because of a buddy's AU/Askblog from like 2 years ago, and honestly I think it's a really solid and reasonable foundation for their relationship to be built off! It's the whole forced proximity thing which breeds fondness between them because they are stuck as coworkers basically.

Overall I agree with the way you see it, having written a fic with a similar premise to it almost two years ago now (crazy) but I'll give my more "these thoughts aren't hidden through inference of prose" for your reading pleasure.

Starting with Reggie, I think he is very civil to JJ, especially when they speak, but honestly I think there would be a genuine level of betrayal, as parasocial as it stems from, for Reggie when it comes to Juniper. In the end, Reggie was a fan of Juniper and his work, so that whole thing of "finding out someone you idolise is a terrible person" would crush him because Reggie is a really sweet guy and would likely only like Juniper as much as he did because he thought Juniper was also a good person. This then meaning that he has to share space with that guy, who is probably bitter and feeling another 1000 things (elaboration coming soon), would be really bloody weird! He's got to deal with the whisperings of his old celebrity crush which he had to snuff out basically instantly because oh God he's going to set of nukes is a pretty damning reason to not want a crush on a guy. He's also having to deal with the fact that Juniper has tried to kill his top Agent (and probably friend) several times within the span of a week, and to top it all off he now has to basically play chaperone to him while at the agency? It wouldn't be a great way to kick off a new relationship, platonic or otherwise.

Juniper is a really bonkers kettle of fish in his own right because there's a lot about him to consider. In the eyes of the public, and very potentially the law, he is dead, and potentially has lost basically all his estate to that fact, so the unimaginable wealth and privilege he would be used to is just gone within probable days. It's implied that JJ was a "self-made man"/achieved the "hollywood dream" in game two, so while yes he'd be pissed at losing all of his niceties, he's also just lost everything he's worked for across his acting career. As much as I don't think he'd admit that it's a huge blow to him, it would be, and I think that's shit for him lowk. Also, he's absolutely still healing from various injuries from that fall of his, so that's adding to his angst.

Alas, Juniper is quick to trigger, and I think to Reggie's civil nature, he'd be much more passive aggressive, at least at first. Unlike Reggie, Juniper has no reason AT ALL to like him, so I think the whole idea of Juniper trying to prove himself to Reggie is even more special because it's a genuine act of trying to be a better person. I'm jumping the gun a bit, but you get what I mean. My main deviation from your interpretation, ALTHOUGH I did basically write that into my fic from 2023 (same one as previous, which is the first junicrane fic on ao3 haha), is the whole them living together. I think I prefer them as coworkers so much more, partially because it amuses me, but mainly because it gives them some time away from one another as to be their own character and how they would think about the other in isolation.

ALAS! Onto my other main interpretation of them which splits into two sub-interpretations (and then there's another minor interpretation after that (and a tiny one after that) so stay tuned!). This main interpretation is generalised and unified by Juniper basically surviving the fall, then making his own way back to a mainland and then basically moving to some kind of safehouse and living in secret.

The deviation comes from how Reggie and JJ would then meet. My main interpretation, and one I've considered writing into a multichapter fic before (though I am terrible at commitment so it is staying as a brain-child for now), is Reggie being suspicious of Juniper just disappearing. This came from how on the ARG website offshoot of his desk, there's two different things relating to JJ and I like to think that's from him investigating his death. To me, there's a significant gap between IEYTD 2 and 3, and to try and distract himself on his worry over Phoenix, Reggie basically goes on a non-agency approved man-hunt for Juniper because his "tracking skills are still up to snuff". And yeah! Reggie finds him! And Juniper as absolutely wracked with paranoia from living in secret and it takes everything in Reggie to convince John that this isn't an agency thing and he's not going to get taken away. John is still a bitch, but he's a terrified one, and despite Reggie's better judgement, he feels bad for him, and somewhat takes it upon himself to keep checking up on JJ. I can go on about this interpretation, buttttt I may save my other plot beats incase I want to one day actually write it

My other version of the whole Juniper making it out is, while yes he's still very paranoid, it's somewhat liberating to no longer be in the public eye. The whole "if juniper went to a juniper look-alike contest, he'd come second", yk? I've prettymuch always hc'ed Juniper as gay, and pretty repressed about it being a famous actor in the public image in the 60s, so being able to finally express that to some degree would be pretty fulfilling for him! I actually wrote this one into a oneshot, being the second starstruck fic ever on ao3 so that saves me from yapping so much about it here. The TLDR is that Juniper basically meets Reggie by chance and has to deal with. ALLLL of the feelings that comes with that.

Onto a HEAVILY more AU version of what I think happens post-IEYTD 2,,,, but Juniper staying allied with Zoraxis and being a double agent for them and working in the Agency. My friend Imp has a more positive version of this where JJ ends up defecting to the Agency's side, and I love that, BUT.. I also really love the idea of just keeping Juniper as an evil character. 2 Dimensional villain or whatever, sometimes they can be just as fun as fully fleshed out characters and I appreciate that. I have a very short Spotify playlist which basically is the moodboard for this AU, but basically play Government Hooker by Lady Gaga and you'll understand. Actually here it is. Go my Scarab. I like the idea of Juniper still playing into his charismatic actor thing to get Reggie to fall for him again, only to break his heart and trust again. I don't often entertain this MAINLY because I like them as this insufferable mushy couple but I do absolutely get a kick out of the complete OPPOSITE of this. Putting them under the microscope etc etc

And then my teeny tiny one is my whole post IEYTD 3 theory that Juniper is the Phantom andddddd that he and Reggie end up working together in IEYTD 4 pleasepleasepleaseplease Schell Games make it happen I would KILL for these guys to speak to one another PLEASE it would be great/silly. Alas I really like the idea of it going in a direction with inspiration from Phantom of the Opera because. I like musical theatre and Juniper is an actor and goddamnit it's the Phantom. It would be whimsical

I think the most likely clans for him are Brujah and Gangrel.

Based of the official character design we've received for him, along with the audio teasers we can tell that he's a bit rough around the edges, and overall probably not the nicest of guys, and the clans that are most stereotypically like that are Brujah and Gangrel (im coping),

He seems like he doesn't care about whats in his way as long as he can get rid of them, and tripping someone just because they looked at him (aka having a bit of a temper) is another point to Brujah.

For Gangrel I'm really just hoping tbh. Its the copium speaking LMAO.

Shilo (Bizly):

Toreador, Lasombra, Malkavian

Shilo, based off his art, is a very extravagant person, wearing very elaborate clothing, and I think older Toreador and Ventrue (tho ive completely ruled out venture bc he sounds so pathetic lmao) are the most likely to have a personal servant of some sort, which in the audio teaser we can tell that Shilo does.

Lasombra is based off something Bizly said on twt, that "[Shilo's] eye's became inky blackness/shadows" or something similar, which is something that can be a side affect of an ability that Lasombra use, but it's something that happens to them when they use an ability, not what happens to someone else when they use it, and Lasombra themselves are very tied to the shadows.

Malkavian is simply bc I think Bizly could pull off playing one I'm gonna be honest, I have no real proof or reason I just think he could pull it off.

Nosferatu, Tremere, Lasombra, Gangrel (pure copium), Ventrue

Here's the thing. We don't know shit about Grizzly's character other than the fact that he wants them to be a complete mystery, so I don't have a lot to work off of lmao.

My thoughts would be he's either playing a clan that no one would think he'd play (Nos, Gangrel), a clan not available in the base ver of VtM 5e (Lasombra) or a clan that is mysterious (Tremere).

I didn't mention Ventrue in there bc my reasoning for why his character is Ventrue is simply bc his character was in the middle of the group, similar to that of a leader, in the Suckening trailer.

Also if he is playing a Nosferatu i'll be so happy ESPECIALLY since I really don't think anyone would expect that of him given that he plays these like. Beautiful and/or ethereal character's. So playing a character that by default can't be that would be really interesting.

That reasoning is also why I don't think he'd play a Toreador bc it would be so like. Obvious. LMAO. Toreador I think fits exactly what he usually plays almost too well, so I think he'd play something out of left field or something that is similar to what he'd go for without being too obvious yknow.

Edit: ALSO id like to point out that we can assume that theyre Anarchs (one of the 2 main factions in vtm, the other is the Camarilla) bc of the anarchy symbol in the trailer <3

- OK FIRST ABOUT HIM. He works for knives still but in this au his job is to cause vash suffering by 😭😭… outselling him??? Ridonkulous ik but go with it

- Knives wants him to outsell vash so vash realizes that art and human creativity is obsolete and instead help him run his tech/AI company that also focuses on helping global warming (humans suck they should die. robots go!)

- Hes apart of a band to rival Vash’s and ofc its the Gung Ho Guns; he hired them to play for him

- Tbh i think their genre isnt set in stone bc theyre purely doing this to outsell vash so I think theyd keep the core of it rock or indie but it has a lot of shifting gears, doing wtv gets the most traction

- Legato is the bassist but he knows keyboard if their keyboardist is absent

- I think legato writes most of the songs himself (to impress knives ofc this is still HIS mission afterall) and gets a lil sad and defensive if it flops LMFAO even if its just his first album; considering how Knives talked down on music Legato thought it’d be somewhat easy

- It DEFINITELY took him a while to write things that had some semblance of humanity in it tbh he had to have either another less emotionally stunted member write it or a ghost writer but he did still practice writing in his spare time since he had nothing better to do

ok this is gonna kinda jump around a bit bc thats how my thoughts are rn :3 i love this ask though thank u for letting me talk about my special guy

so after Jane's death, he did try his best to hang onto the friend group for a while (especially Noah) but due to not having a very good therapist, his kid logic made him think "thinking about Jane makes me sad, and not thinking about her i can be happy, but i'd rather think about her and be sad forever than evetually move on and forget" so he kinda shut himself off from everyone so he could hold his memory of her forever

his parents tried their best to help him but the therapists they took him too didnt believe him when he told them about Mr Red (or when they did believe him, they only believed him if they were reading lines that weren't there and assuming that Mr Red was a real living guy in the woods and jumping to conclusions about it) so maybe like a month or two after Jane died he just... stopped talking, bc what was the point of speaking if no one was going to listen? and then he stopped talking to anyone ever until half way through his freshman year of highschool when he told Cody to "gargle my cock and balls"

because of Devi being mute for all that time, he didn't really have any friends (which he was fine with for reasons stated earlier) & a lot of people found him kinda weird and offputting for the most part, especially when he got really into expressing himself through art, specifically photography. a lot of "ew that weird quiet kid is taking pictures of things again what a creep" but for the most part he just shrugged it off

in Sophmore year he took a Japanese class for an easy foreign language credit, which Tom was also in for the same reasons and they became friends :3 not as close as Tom and Andy at this point, but they'd hang out at lunch when Andy was busy and sometimes go to eachother's houses after school. but after that year the teacher for the class made sure to put them in different periods bc they would kinda. make fun of him a little bit in japanese bc he was a white guy who thought he was way better at the language than he actually was and that made him big mad

first of all the bird!!

hes a dream valley maurren & he is so bird. hes the only Fully Assembled doll i bought this time (the rest were separate heads & bodies). i really like him but i am SO scared about breaking those wings. also as u can see i did also get the human arms but i didnt really take photos with them sorry. he DID come with normal feet also (idr if the listing specified that he would?) but i didnt bother swapping them out bc im gonna be swapping them later (probably his whole legs but idk yet, depends on the fit) with either the nirvana phoenix or twin birds esther ones since i have both of those on preorder now. also he will be getting esthers head bc this one is too normal human lmao (i like the feathered ears) & ill be putting the phoenix head on esthers body (possibly with phoenix legs if esthers look better on maurren. so much switching around w these damn birds) & phoenixs body (with human legs) will be used for Something Else (i have plans but im not revealing them yet). anyway i did also buy him a set of phoenix wings that were in stock (from before the rerelease lmao) but they are sooo tightly strung i couldnt even check to see if they would fit. honestly in general all of these dolls need to be restrung bc they are all so tight i couldnt even get the heads on the hybrids.

speaking of!! these next two i dont have photos of put together bc i need to (hopefully) swap the neck pieces around & also restring them as mentioned but here is dream valley achelous head with a doll chateau k-body-06...

honestly this one is pretty normal looking aside from the neck!! obviously the wrists/ankles add a little something but it really doesnt feel As Weird as i thought it would. which is fine!! i wanted this to be the more normal one compared to the next (theyre meant to be a sort of pair). the dv resin is a liiiittle darker than the dc resin but its honestly less noticeable in person & probably will be even less so with faceup/blushing. there really was no way to get a good preview pic of the head on the body bc i couldnt get the neck piece off & it does look quite odd with it on but i think proportionally it does work. i might possibly get a different head for this body down the line only bc i almost like this head too much for something this normal looking?? so i might want to put it on a different body. but i havent solidified my ideas for styling yet so We Will See. maybe the faceup/hair/clothes will add enough weirdness

next here is the dream valley freyja head with a doll chateau k-body-12...

THIS spindly guy will be getting the extra neck joint to really add to the What The Fuck Is Going On With You factor. why are you shaped like that. this was the one i was most worried about just due to the proportions being Quite Strange. i do think it ends up looking a little bobbleheaded but its apparently very difficult to find heads that wouldnt look that way on this body & i think this one matches well enough otherwise. the body came with jointed hands which im a little conflicted about — the fingers are obviously only jointed where they meet the palm which does feel a little awkward tbh. also one of the fingers is very loose & im not entirely sure how id go about fixing it (i havent looked that closely yet). i did also order a different pair of hands that i think im gonna swap them for tho so its all good!!

now. here. i think this one is my favorite. this is a dream valley vine head on their own b45-05 body

i think vines default body is actually just the version of this one without the extra arm so ofc this set is the best match lmao BUT. i think the arm is so important. it really does add something. hes just kind of strange!! (also im just really partial to characters with extra limbs.) i will say i think the head in person looks more alert/less sleepy than in the product photos so its kind of a different vibe than i was going for? but i also think adding a faceup and especially eyelashes will affect that. & even despite it looking different than expected i still really really like this head, there is just something so charming about his face. idk. honestly this was The Head i kept coming back to & saying id order someday (i was originally going to put this one on the dc k-body-06 tho) & kind of what spurred this whole big order bc the previous time i saw dv cedar & was like. oh well that one is limited so ill get vine next time. & then next time they had maurren who i also wanted & i was like. okay ykw this is just gonna Keep Happening so im just gonna get both. and also. these other two lmao. so that ill Stop Looking. anyway that backfired bc i have still been Looking & ordering new dolla but!! i did get him. and my orders since have been much smaller lmao

How has this news not ruined your enjoyment with CEC? (/gq)

Animatronics are a big SI for me and I regularly go to CEC, but after hearing this it makes me feel sick. It's completely ruined my enjoyment immediately and I've taken all the CEC stuff off my blog because I can't even bear to look at it.

This is just personal experience, if you don't want to I understand I just want to know how you can manage it because I really hate losing this part of me I've held since childhood...

tbh, working at chuck e, being severely mistreated by them, nd learning how horrible of a corporation they are rly has made me build up a lot of resentment toward them. but tht just makes me wanna speak up, cuz they r not gonna stop till they go bankrupt.

after i quit i had to take a long break. i quit with 0 notice bc they literally broke me. quitting with no notice is something i have never done before, i dont like 2 do that. i had to take 2 weeks off from work after tht because they put me in such a bad mental state

after they mistreated me, i also could barely look at cec stuff because it made me so upset remembering what they did 2 me.,.. and tht something that made me so insanely happy, was ruined by horrible management, ableism and corporate greed. i went from absolutely loving my job and having it b the best part of my day, to throwing up due 2 anxiety before/ during every shift cuz i waz so scared of my manager screaming in my face orr threatening my promotion again, (which i never got btw!! they held a promotion over me for months, had me doing all the responsibilities for it but refused to give me the pay raise they promised me for it.) as well as having multiple anxiety attacks/ having to step outside bc i was bawling cuz of the way they treated us. every. single. shift. the worst part about it was they just took advantage of us, the ones who actually cared about working there. they went easier on us if we didnt like the job, but if they see u will put in the effort, time, commitment, and they wwill use that passion u have to run u into the ground. thatz so wrong to me.

at the samee time, this iz smthn I was already kind of prepared for, i am aware of, having a large corporation as my special interest. all corporations are evil, they just try 2 hide it. this was sadly going on the whole time. small stuff, or big. the way they advertise things is purposely confusing to try and get more money out of u. stuff like tht is super fucked up 2 me. for example at my location they charge a $2 fee to activate playpasses, which i was encouraged to hide from the customer. i was literally only allowed to tell them if they asked why they are being charged $2 extra. chuck e has been supporting autism speaks for 2 years now. they just deleted our comments last year becausee they dont fucking care about us. all they care about is money.

what makez me happy about chuck e cheese is not going there, or supporting them,, for me itz the characters, music, videos, merch, animatronics and art. all of these things u can access without supprting CEC entertainment..,. theres so many ways to still engage in this interest without supporting chuck e cheese as a corporation. draw art of the characters. watch content through other YT channels, not the official cec one. theres so much fan-created content at this point, that we dont need corporate. the new stuff theyre putting out is mostly garbage in my opinion anyways. im not gonna miss seeing them use the same 2 renders of rockstar chuck over and over lol. i luvv rockstar, but evrrything coming out now just has this vibe of "we slapped this together to trick u and get ur money". theres no effort put into anything. its just whatever is quickest, cheapest and will make them the most money. barbara the barnyard barber? just a song they bought the rights 2 and slapped cec adlibs on top of.

i love chuck e cheese so much that i can never give it up, its my special interest, its one of the only things tht brings me true happiness. u dont have to give it up either. u can still love chuck e and not support the company. i even still go sometimes to film the bots, i just dont buy any games, merch or food. u can go to a chuck e cheese completely 4 free, which is definitely a huge "fuck u" to corporate imo, since all they want is ur money.

tl;dr : u can still lovr chuck e cheese without giving them money/ supporting them. imo its not morally wrong if u r speaking up about the bad they r doing, or at the least, not ignoring it and not pretending they did nothing wrong. u just gotta find alternative ways to engage with the content.
