So basically Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were childhood friends like INSEPARABLE since their karting days and Nico was like kinda Rich since his father was Keke Rosberg (not relevant it's just that he was Rich) and they were such good friends they were fucking soul bonded goddamn star crossed lovers once Lewis broke his wrist or smth and Nico arranged a SPECIAL cart for him so he could race one handed also he took Lewis on a vacation with him to Greece with his family when they were 14 which might possibly be one of many. They are both super competitive and competed from who gets the fastest lap in the race to who finishes their breakfast first. They once even broke a hotel bed by "wrestling" on it. But no matter how competitive it got they always laughed about it after and then Nico got into f1 and then Lewis got into f1 and in 2008 they celebrated together Nico's first podium in F1. You can even find the video online titled "my first F1 podium” by Nico Rosberg. Then they raced together for many many years in good sport until beginning of 2016 when the friendly fights started turning into actual rivalry. The year was filled with crashes and "accidents" thoigh neither were directly blamed for it. Around Spain 2016 it got to a point where they wouldn't even look at each other. They would arrive at the HQ on race day and not even greet each other good morning when the first thing they used to do was wish each other luck. In Abu Dhabi 2016, Lewis pulled a very controversial trick on the track. Which resulted in Nico not being able to overtake him and losing the race. Even though he won the championship that year, Lewis pulling that dirty trick was what snapped the thread their relationship was hanging on by. The podium celebrations were dry and these guys— who fucking hugged and jumped around and screamed at Nico's first podium, didn't even acknowledge each other at his first WDC!!!!!

Shortly after this Nico Rosberg quit racing and retired. He did not race in the 2017 season.

In an interview someone referred to Nico as Lewis' best friend and he said, "oh we're not friends, Nico and I"

The two were never again mentioned being in contact until a photo was released in 2021 of Nico on Lewis' yacht with him, and then going back to full animosity. i can’t believe basically no one voted for trucker klance, that was literally my second choice!! it sounds like such a fun premise with plenty of potential for a variety of conflicts!

there's still quite a bit of time on the poll!! and i KNOW right. just keith and lance slowly recognising and getting to know each other at truck stops and late night laundromats and loading docks. they hit it off pretty quickly, because there's nothing like friendly competition to make the rougher parts of the job go by faster. can you imagine just the longest phonecalls as they drive cross continent and theyre taking for hours and for hours more theyre just listening to each other breathe on the line. maybe even one day they park in the same rest stop and sleep in the same cab, because it's warmer and the road is lonely. maybe they fall in love slowly

Zaimoku as a failed duo is so funny to me bc it really does bleed into the group dynamic a lot, since both Todomatsu and Karamatsu are often the odd ones out.

They didn't even rly get along in s1 despite literally trying to, and quickly stop associating with each other despite literally having been assigned each other's name buddy since birth, and also having been besties as kids. We dont even find out why exactly they fall out in the movie, theyre already basically estranged despite Karamatsu clearly being sensitive, and Todomatsu having actively helped him with his acting career (the saw parody episode ncnsns) like they were two sweethearts, but totty basically alternated between choro (ideal bc he could kangaroo and be tolerated), ichi (who he shared friends with), and oso (badbadbad!) But Karamatsu was not an option!

Even in s2 theres not a specific reason why they fell out and continued to be estranged, they actually have a lot of parallels in the things that happen to them, and their relationship with totoko. Theres the au in osoma that shows that they could be at least friendly towards each other despite their differences in sensibility (not shipping tho)

In s3 it makes sense that Todomatsu basically hates him now, bc of the cashier but ig im just kind of surprised by how long and hard he's held a grudge. And the fact he's completely taken over Ichimatsu's initial role as tormentor? Ichimatsu rarely goes out of his way to have an outburst at Karamatsu at this point meanwhile totty literally every opportunity he gets, including making opportunities just apathetically puts Karamatsu in harms way.

He just really kind of hates him? And that's a little uncharacteristic for Todomatsu who tends to get over stuff by the end of the episode, or only brings it back up if someone else does (like the christmas ep where ichi was like what happened to those girls from your job)

I think it probably says a lot actually about how much their fight over the cashier bothered totty? He's still clearly not over it, especially bc this behavior is consistently and exclusively towards kara. Like kicking him and making him fall when going to the bathroom, but letting Osomatsu potentially cut in line, or pushing Karamatsu during the hipipo movie.

I'm not even sure if Karamatsu himself holds any animosity towards totty or realizes why he's suddenly being singled out like that. I can't say what happened and why they were both rejected, but its very clear that somewhere between

His confidence and expectations on getting into a relationship have drastically changed. I kinda wonder if he feels especially betrayed by Karamatsu, who's been distant from him bc of their communication issues, and bc this was the first time in the show not only did his brothers support *him* when he wanted to ask someone out, but bc Karamatsu is supposed to be his best friend from birth.

Even in the scene above, its Todomatsu who's actually listing things he liked, even if theyre superficial, meanwhile all Karamatsu is saying is "me too" and Todomatsu as the central character for the episode it makes sense that he'd feel the stronger of the two, but ig to me i see it and the fact hes still angry about it, as like deeper than that.

Because he doesn't really hold a grudge against anyone else. The only other situation i can think of is him making fun of choromatsus brown hair in s2 during his quiz. Like how does Karamatsu, who he's not even super close with in s1 still tie as his favorite brother, with his clearly favorite brother Osomatsu? I think it hurt him a lot more than he said it did, bc he didn't hit Karamatsu first and was initially content to just sit there together after their double rejection.

Anyways i dont think Todomatsu's more deserving of love than Karamatsu, and I don't think he's a better person either. I post about them a lot bc I feel a lot of direct (its onesided tho) competition with karamatsu fans, since for a long time i pretended to be one bc i wasnt confident enough in my own skills to write for Todomatsu, but also bc a lot of totty hate used to come from karamatsu fans, who especially judge Todomatsu based on his behavior towards karamatsu rather than the person he is.

I think karamatsu probably does deserve to have all the freaks who wanna freak him, but ig the thing i wanna say is I don't blame Todomatsu for hating him now, and to me, I love Todomatsu the most. And he deserves all of my love. Even if theres a few of us who would choose him over anyone else, or even if its rly just me, I want Totty to know somebody loves him just as he is without any additional qualifications, for him to change, or for him to be different.

I loved chapter six!! I think it's really cool that Nancy can see Steve's love from the outside. When she was with Steve there was too much going on for her to see what he was trying to do for her, and there was also all that angsty teenage bullshit happening. (Not related but did you hear they retconned Jonathan taking photos of Nancy and Steve? Weird.) Anyway, she couldn't see what Steve was trying to do, her grief and guilt with Barbara was overbearing. Steve's love wasn't what she needed and Jonathan was what she needed. Now that Jonathan's in California and there having issues she can see the love between bug and Steve more clearly. Nancy never really looked at Steve and bugs relationship, she had her own to be in. Nancy and Jonathan had their own little dynamic and they loved each other just like Steve and bug do.

I really liked what you did with Nancy's insecurity, how she worried that maybe Jonathan wanted bug again (valid cause he is slipping) like Jonathan wanting bug back would hurt worse than them just falling out of love or him meeting someone new. It's not just pain/heartbreak but confirmation of deep insecurities. I appreciate you cutting the stancy scenes and keeping everything friendly. If bug had to sit there and endure every lingering look or flirty comment I'd crash out. I understand that there may be moments like that later on when Nancy is taking care of Steve's wounds or their talking about old times, but still it's nice it isn't going down a jealous, comparison, competition trope. Nancy understands Steve's love for bug and vice versa. I can see where the girls affecting each other is gonna come from. Bug knowing about the phone call and how Nancy doesn't know. It's easy for that guilt to turn to paranoia. I mean they used to date, Steve used to be head over heels for Nancy just like bug was for Jonathan. Why do bug and Jonathan always reveal their feelings too late 😭. What's with them??? Like bug Waited until Jonathan was basically with Nancy and Jonathan starts saying he wishes things turned out different when bug was with Steve and deeply in love??

It makes me so sad that Nancy doesn't know what Jonathan said. She's almost completely in the dark, she feels him distancing himself but can't do anything about it. I hope when he comes back to Hawkins he gets his shit together but I doubt it. I feel like he won't be able to hide how he feels when he's around bug. He'll deny it, but everyone can see it. It may be some kind of confirmation for Nancy and that may make tension between bug and Nancy grow. And the second bugs okay, Steve will not be playing with Jonathan. He's gonna be so petty. And Jonathan is gonna be a little shit, two snarky boys pushing each other's buttons. Or maybe he'll realize he was wrong and it'll just be awkward, because the way Steve will act around him will be enough for Jonathan to put the dots together that Steve knows what he said.

god ive been WAITING to have some smaller scenes of nancy finally recognizing how steve has grown and changed for bug and how different he is now and happy <333 but not in a bitter way but in a "i once cared for this person deeply, seeing them happy now makes me nostalgic but warm". i also wanted to show how her sudden realization that steve and bug love each other just as much as nancy loves jonathan. they reflect one another :(((

as for nancy and her insecurities regarding bug, we will see even more of that later !!! and vice versa with bug and her fears about nancy (because theyre there, trust me, just subtle !!) and with bug knowing about jon while nancy doesnt ,,, it WILL complicate things and TRUST it gets resolved !!! well. kinda. in a way. and why do jon and bug reveal feelings too late ?? WELL ! its their flaw lmao. it was their overall arc for seasons 1 and 2. they kept missing each other every time. jon loved bug all season 1 and the moment she realized she loved him, it was too late. and i wont say its necessarily happening again but this time with jon, but ,,,, history can be a tricky thing. it can leave scars that reopen and bleed.

In conversation with Grace I picked "he has to ask first", so Lewie was actually just asking "mind if I join you? I've been thinking about kissing you..." And about Roberto - I'm so not sold on his affection for MC! Come on, he knew all about MC on their date, and suddenly he doesn't know her job? so this is unpolished as fuck because i only just thought of the au this afternoon so i apologise if this doesn't make much sense for now, feel free to ask for me to explain more or something if you need me to!!

So its basically just the concept to glitchtechs being shoved onto ninjago, hinobi tech becomes borg industries and borg, whilst a seemingly friendly enough guy is very much more of an unseen higher power like how the guys who run the company (at least as of right now) are in glitch techs.

The system that borg has is pretty much the same that hinobi has, borg industries has several shops across ninjago that sell products whilst also dealing with glitches behind closed doors, all specifically located at or near gaming/population hotspots for easy access to the glitches.

the ninja are all part of the same store together, each of them having their own specialties. the au wouldnt necessarily have a main focus but if i were to give roles for who five and mikos replacements are it would be jay and nya, despite their varying dynamics.

the elemental alliance show up at points in the au as glitch techs from other stores that face off/ have a bit of a friendly rivalry with the ninjas store

none of them have their elemental powers, BUT their fighting styles would definitely be influenced by them, eg, zane using freeze bubbles to stun glitches and long range weapons whereas kai uses very short range weapons and probably got a fire breath power up at some point.

the digiverse and prime empire would probably have a major role in the show, the digiverse acting almost like a cloud for all the games that borg tech releases, and prime empire being one of the games that gets released mid story and causes a bunch of problems in terms of glitches and other stuff. i also like the idea of including the idea of jays bio mum being the powersource for prime empire that was scrapped by the show itself, im not sure how id do it yet but i have a few ideas that i might talk about once theyre a bit more fleshed out.

now to the ideas lightning round!!

x cole is their manager despite being only like a year older than most of his co workers and gets an insane amount of joy from pissing off karens who asked for the manager only for his weed smoking dumb ass to show up like "wassup kiddos"

x zane is still a nindroid in this au, his memoriy cant be wiped using the normal memory wiping beams and so he followed the glitch techs back to their base and kinda just stuck around. cole, who was the one to supposedly wipe his memory, is kinda like "what the fuck u remember" and demanded answers which is how they found out that hes a robot.

x half the team find zane really scary at first because hes literally a 6ft3 hunk of metal with no tact at all

x all of zanes gaming avatars have pink incorperated into the outfit in some way

x jay once challenged zane and lloyd to a dance dance revolution battle, they all had the most extravagant avatars made to look like vocaloids. it was the most ott thing ever and the competition lasted an entire day. lloyd won.

x lloyds specialty is the companions, he loves working with them and has a green salamander that sits on his head 24/7

x kai joined the team after nya, expecting it to just be a regular retail job and promptly freaks out over the fact that he has to fight giant kaiju monsters from video games. he rants about it to skylor at the end of his first day and she just laughs and says "you know, if i didnt already know about all this, youd be in big trouble"

x karlof is the manager for another area and him and cole are besties that have a scoreboard keeping track of how many glitches theyve managed to take down by themselves

x pixal takes on the role as bitt and likes to just stomp around the office in her massive fighting suit for fun.

thats all for now but i will be adding more as time goes on because this au is honestly so fun for me, ive been having a blast so far just thinking of the different games to include as well as just the lore!! because season 2 of glitch techs kinda left on a major cliff hanger so we dont know much of the specific lore ive kinda been building this on my own assumptions for what could happen lore-wise as well as just having fun with the goofy work-family aspect of it ^^

Yes, I do though it's not uncritical sympathy. I still think hes a horrible person within canon on terms that are solely his own— not just a product of being a native child (which was originally the angle i saw with cartman). He’s clearly a child dealing with an unhealthy parent, which I would dare to use the term abusive, though Liane is a very complicated character, deeply in the closet, littered with insecurities, LEARNED to gain attention and credibility through being an abusive person himself.

I can sympathize with his pain, especially from the angle of a child while condemning him a fuck ton. And is a very fun character to analyze and exhausting to write for this reason.

Cartman and Clyde are easy as they are stupid chubby dumb dumb gamers who dont have the best concepts of what women are. Also they’re canonically on friendly terms??? So yeah.

Stan is hard because I can see him as Craig or Tolkien. But for the sake of a new conversation, I’ll say Tolkien. Both are shown to be level headed people, reference to lean on the more sensitive, are passive in interactions, both get fed up with shit easily but tend to walk away, both have a type in competitive gals, and now both deal with a weed farm they had no choice in existing at.

Now with Kyle it's tricky because he's a very specific character, he also parallels Tolkien well with the contrast of passive and active— but there similarities seem to be surface level and acquainted to being the “Mom Friend” of the group. For some reason I oddly want to say Tweek, more so for what I see based on their possible futures and their development.

Both characters are (to me) anxious over thinkers, who repeatedly question the morality of things, have low self esteem, are kinda aggressive? Maybe able to hold their ground is a better word, heavily mocked, very work focused people, and care a lot about the implications of actions.

They both also deal with a lot of non-physical abuse (tweek is unarguable the victim of psychological abuse, and I truly see Kyle experiencing a lot of verbal-abuse from gerald, both are easily manipulated by others despite also being strong minded, and a bunch of horrible things from town folk), had a large majority of people think they were gay from means out of their control when they genuinely werent even questioning anything, both tend to play range/healer characters (though this isn’t always the case IE barbian tweek), and both are non-catholic but aren’t atheists either! Kyle is Jewish and Tweek is Buddhist. I just think Tweek and morden Kyle have a higher likely hood of understanding each other and getting along.

Now here is where it gets hard and I say some controversial things.

From the remaining two…. I would have to say that Craig and Butters are the most alike. In reality I think Clyde and butters have the most similarities but if were going to pair off— Clyde is the only reasonable answer to cartman.

Now to explain my answer. Both Craig and Butters are kinda awkward kids who have minor (though different) difficulties socializing, they both are passive, they both have kinda niche interests that people tend to ignore, they’re both randomly assumed to be queer for dumb reasons, both are depicted as native, both get animated with the dumb high smile, both are rodient owners, both kinda struggle to understand why people react a certain way to what their saying when it wasnt the intent, and aren’t apposited to being the bad guy in games, so yeah.

Lastly, Jimmy and Kenny. Theyre kinda just forced together because they dont fit perfectly with most people, but there still is common ground. Both have a strong moral principle, both want to put their best into the world, both are kinda perverted minded, both have a crude sense of humour, both are referenced to have addictive personalities, both are reference to have highly successful careers in the future, both have a kinda nonchalant manner to them, both have their own difficulties speaking, and both are often forgot about smh. do you still play guild wars2? Is there a big learning curve like a lot of other mmos, or is it easy to hop right in? I’m kind of interested in playing it but idk anyone else who does- Is it solo friendly? sorry for so many questions! again, dont know anyone who plays it lol

i haven't been able to play guild wars 2 regularly for quite some time because my photosensitivity has gotten worse and it gives me migraines to play for more than 20 minutes or so :( i miss it dearly

its very easy to hop right in imo! there's a lot of stuff to do but almost all of it is horizontal progression once you hit max level so you really just need to worry about leveling up, which i really like how they let you do that. guild wars 2 has no formal quest system which i really love because completionist disorder made me HATE missing/abandoning quests in other mmos. i also find it a kind of dry and railroady. the way you will get the most XP in guild wars is by just wandering around blindly and doing dynamic events in the open world or completing renown hearts, which are essentially one-time quests tied to a physical space in the open world that unlock a vendor when you're done. basically you just walk wherever seems interesting, kill whatever seems fun to kill, and put on whatever gear you get that has higher numbers and that'll get you up to max level with no problems.

guild wars 2 is incredibly soloable! the open world and (completely optional) main story missions are all designed to be done solo. the exception to this is world bosses, which you WILL need a group of people for, but it doesnt need to be an organized group; people just gather at these things, theyre on a specific game-wide timer. you dont need to talk to anyone you can just stumble in there and whack the boss a couple times and take your loot. since all loot is instanced to each player, theres zero competitive element between players outside of structured pvp game modes so you dont need to worry about carrying your weight in non-instanced group content either. fun game, definitely give it a try. the expacs have been really great.

OMG THANK YOU AND OF COURSE!!!!!! i'll write them as short as i can but that's usually not in my skillset EHEHEHE so some of these might get long-winded, bear with me. also all but 2 dont have names, thats still very much a work in progress SO FOR STARTERS my KG takes place in a simulated dome, kind of like. the hunger games 2 if that comes to mind HAHA but its mostly a campsite in a dense forest, but other shit can be added to manipulate the killing game as motives ultimate astronomer: his name is Hohodzuki Tentai, he's very sheltered because he grew up in isolation, specifically in an observatory in the middle of nowhere. he's well meaning, but he lacks proper social skills and sometimes comes off as weird to the others because he gets very curious about them and their lifestyles and sometimes asks boundary-crossing questions. he loves star maps, astrology, and mood rings; he constantly walks around putting them on the other participants ultimate pack leader: his name is Masashi Choko. everything about him points towards being a werewolf, and even though they aren't real, the cast is constantly questioning it because of choko's behavior. in reality, choko earned his title of pack leader because he has a delusion that he's on a spiritual level with the dogs he rescues and is the alpha of his pack and refers to them as his brothers. him and tentai form a close bond where choko eventually refers to tentai as having the same spiritual wavelength. overall he's super loud and friendly and generally just kind of comes off as an overexcited dog ultimate evel knievel impersonator: he's not an impersonator on purpose, he actually hates the title but anyone only ever sees him as an impersonator because he's only been able to reach evel knievel's personal bests. his only goal is to beat those records so he can be the best, but he's so invested in being better than evel knievel that he ends up dressing like him and doing the exact same stunt work so that when he bests him, he will be above him. he does not realize this is counterproductive. he's super hot headed and will bite you if you call him an impersonator ultimate prosecuting attorney: she's my antag. she's stiff and no nonsense, and she doesn't believe in supporting the weak; basically, get with it or get out of the way. she runs the trials, but since she's my antag she usually ends up pinning it on the red herrings of each case and demands someone dare to prove her wrong, constantly forcing the trials to have to be redirected to the right track. shes also extremely hard working to the point of exhaustion, as you can see by her eyebags HAHA, but its ok bc she saves time by manipulating others to help her with tampering evidence. she is heavily inspired by ace attorney, i came up with her while getting into the series :^) ultimate fisher: shes VERY loosely based on tom sawyer. shes kinda lazy and indifferent to what goes on, usually hoping someone does the work for her. she fishes for leisure rather than sport, so she prioritizes relaxation and is stubborn about it when someone criticizes her for it. she's usually off on her own napping or daydreaming ultimate puppeteer: LOUD. keeps NO secrets. the second you tell her something in private she will loudly repeat it. shes nosy and crude and uses her puppets to carry this out. she tries to be sweet and well meaning though, but she's just kind of insensitive with her comments and pokes fun at people with her puppets ultimate ice figure skater: elegant and poise, but has a secret competitive streak that brings out a playful vulgarity. he has a lighthearted rivalry with the ult. hockey player to see who's better on the ice, but a lot of his wisecracks go over poor hockey's head. they both watched each other on TV pre-KG, but theyre too embarrassed to admit watching the other's sport so they play it off in person and slowly become very.............very bromosexual

ultimate hockey player: bigggg dumb, stupid softie. his favorite things are meat, hockey, and his mom. he's not a lot of help in trials but he keeps people in good spirits and usually tries to cheer people up by asking if they want to play games or join him in hockey. the rest of the cast has decided he's impossible to hate ultimate demonologist: loves the occult and is a huge conspiracy theorist, but mostly uses his knowledge of spooky shit to scare everyone else. he gets defensive if you do the same sort of stuff to him though and is in general very difficult to get along with or take seriously. he takes the occult very seriously and has a small pet snake with him :^)

i know music show wins are important in this industry, but i really dislike the competitive nature of these shows. i’m actually stoked to see a ton of my favorite groups promoting at the same time cause of all the potential interactions and moments we might get, even if it means that my faves will have to directly compete with one another. 

kpop’s actually a rather small industry, so kpop idols generally, more often than not, know each other and are at least friendly and supportive of each other (since often they went to the same schools in seoul, or they see each other backstage at shows, or a member of one group was a trainee once for another group’s company, so they know all the members of that group, and introduce their group to that group, etc). 

twice are orders of magnitude more popular and successful than dreamcatcher. itzy debuted only a year ago and theyre like five times as successful as loona, who has been active and building momentum since 2016. twice and itzy basically just mop the floor with dreamcatcher and loona in terms of music show wins, so they’re probably not on good terms right? cause the smaller groups see them as privileged and undeserving? of COURSE NOT lmao. itzy’s ryujin looks up to loona’s heejin and hyunjin like role models and close friends! twice’s dahyun and dreamcatcher’s gahyeon are close friends from the same city, and their friendship predates the kpop stuff! izone has been another of the really successful rookie groups, but again, yena and heejin/hyunjin go way back since yena was a polaris trainee at the same time that they were! it’s not unreasonable to think that hyewon might know all of loona as well, since she’s a part of 8d creative, which i believe was founded by j*den j*ong? we’re pretty sure most of the existing blockberry trainees all migrated over there, like pd48′s go yujin, as well as the boy group onlyoneof. weki meki are one of those groups that everyone knows about but not that many people listen to, and chungha is one of the biggest if not the biggest soloist of this current generation, but obviously chungha’s really close with yoojung and doyeon, especially yoojung, cause they were in IOI together of course! gfriend is a really successful group that’s now part of big hit, and like, again, yerin was a fantagio trainee and is still really close with yoojung! 

what i’m saying is.... the competition.... is really just between fans. and that sucks a lot, because the idols themselves dont often have beef with other groups, they tend to get along pretty well. and that makes sense just because of how often they all see each other, you know? 

i’m not a fan just caue i wanna see my group beat all the others. i’m a fan because of things like the friendliness and comradery they have, it makes being a fan of multiple groups very satisfying. so of course i want my favorite groups to get wins... of course... but if they dont... that’s okay, i just hope they had fun and got to hang out with their friends and rivals a lot!

How do you think a crossover between Scooby-Doo and Ghostbusters would go?

EDIT: i typed all this shit out, posted the ask, and it posted without any text. thank CHRIST i saved everything i had written like 5 minutes before but i gotta re-add some edits real quickfunny that u ask since my friends and i have been workshopping that concept for monthsHeres what we have set in stone: first of all, Ray is Fred’s uncle. Theres no way around this one. This is mandatory. We’ve got two excitable and kindhearted idiots, with a love of ghosts and mysteries, who are constantly walking right into danger while having The Time Of Their LIVES, and theyre both voiced by Frank Welker? Not to mention the fact that so many Scooby Doo movies/shows involve various relatives of the Scooby gang suddenly appearing out of nowhere despite never being referenced before, and Fred having a famous uncle isnt even out of the ordinary, what with him being Bobby Flay’s nephew [and, while its only briefly mentioned in one old non-canon video i found, hes apparently a distant cousin of Tom Jones. which is hilarious] Second of all, setting will probably be Miskatonic University, aka the fictional university from Lovecraft mythos. Stay with me here, I know full well Lovecraft is garbage, but both Scooby AND RGB canon have Miskatonic as a real place At some point in RGB, Venkman and Egon go to Miskatonic for information during “The Collect Call of C[a]thulhu”, and the university is referenced again in “The Hole in The Wall Gang”, where Ray talks about his college football team having to fight Miskatonic’s once In Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, at the very, VERY end of the show, the gang gets scholarships to Miskatonic and drive off on a road trip to there, solving mysteries along the way. They’d have a perfectly valid excuse to already be in that area- and even outside of Mystery Incorporated’s timeline, you could easily make the argument that Miskatonic University and Arkam, Massachusetts would still exist in other Scooby timelines since it exists THERE, and they could still have a reason to be in that area solving mysteries as a resultAs for an actual plot, that’s more debatable. Probably some eldritch god bullshit, probably a lot of “is this a job for US or for YOU?” and trying to sort out if they’re dealing with a guy in a mask or an actual supernatural being. could also lead into the two teams trying to one-up each other in friendly[or not so friendly] competition, with Winston being literally the only one who wouldnt take part in that (see: “Ghostbuster of the Year”, and him also being the only one with the common sense to be like “wait we’re getting into a petty fight with teenagers now? Really??”). aside from that probably mostly a lot of the Ghostbusters bouncing off the Scooby gang. Going off what we’ve discussed:-Ray and Fred’s love for each other as family is compromised by the fact that neither of them will accept the possibility that the other guy’s car is better than theirs. Ecto-1 vs the Mystery Machine. who will win? no one. no one will win this mess-that said Ray and his talent with engineering works well with Fred’s trap building expertise so if whatever monster of the week they wind up dealing with is tangible, they’d make something incredible and way, wayyyy too complicated to catch it-It would take about 10 minutes for Egon to get into a heated debate with Velma over the existence of the supernatural, and they would both at least CONSIDER getting into a literal fistfight over it. Do not leave these two alone together. It won’t be pretty. -And in Mystery Inc, there’s the added bonus of Scooby technically being an alien god; so in that continuity there’s the potential of Egon, who steadfastly doesn’t believe in aliens, being confronted with the gang’s “mascot” who is an alien; and Velma, who steadfastly doesn’t believe in ghosts, being confronted with the Ghostbusters’ “mascot”, who is a ghost. -Slimer, Egon, Shaggy, and Scooby can and will eat the rest of them out of house and home. This is a fact.-Velma and Winston get along for being the bookish ones of their respective teams AND for far and away being two of the smartest, with the most common sense-that said Daphne probably has the most common sense and practical knowledge of the gang, and she and Winston both also share the sad title of “most often sidelined and ignored and not given the fun roles”, though over the years Daph has managed to save herself from this (see: Be Cool Scooby Doo). Also, without them, their respective teams basically fall to pieces. they are the glue keeping these ships running. -though with regards to what roles Daphne DOES get to play most of the time, iirc Venkman is the non-Janine Ghostbuster who’s most likely to get kidnapped, if only one of them is captured and not the whole crew like in “Janine Melnitz, Ghostbuster”. [examples of Venkman getting kidnapped solo include “The Bird of Kildarby” and “A Fright at the Opera”.] What I’m saying is, if anyone’s gonna get kidnapped by the monster of the week, it might well be these two. They can probably break themselves free, though, especially if they work together-Venkman, Shaggy, and Scooby share the common trait of being perfectly willing to ditch everyone else if given the opportunity and go nap and/or eat instead of dealing with whatever the hell is going on THIS time. the difference is that Venkman’s not really a coward, he’s just a lazy asshole-Speaking of things Venkman has in common with the gang, Venkman and Fred share the titles of “least brain cells” AND “biggest egos”. lord save everyone if those two try to put their heads together. anyway thats most of what we’ve got so far[i know, theres an unfortunate lack of Janine]. with all of that combined, you could probably make a pretty good crossover. christ knows ive been chipping away at the idea for a while, though i havent made much headway w/ how busy i am and how distracted i get (see: my 10 other in-progress rgb fics in varying stages of completion, and the fact that i only have 2 that are actually finished and posted)in short, i think the idea is fantastic and its a genuine shame that it doesnt look like the idea has really been considered, even with scooby doo guess who out now. Sure, there’s been more and more crossovers with the comics- the TMNT crossover and the new Transformers crossover- but I’d really want to see this with RGB and not the prime versions and again, it doesn’t look like crossover comics with the RGB characters have been considered. :/

ink (the non-deadly horror game kind) , worn-out leather, coffee, and old man smell. basically, i think he smells like a grandpa who lives in a bookshop. Or a library.

what their favorite smells in the world are

fresh paper, linda’s cooking, linda in general, the perfume his daughter used to wear too much of because it reminds him of when she was just a girl (she’s all grown up now and he’s sentimental!), and the smell of a long walk through a park on a sunny day.

what pajamas they wear/what they wear to sleep in

in the winter, he usually wears a pair of long johns. yes, the kind with the flap. theyre comfortable. and in the summer, he likes to wear either his favorite satin pajamas or a nightgown. he’s also a big fan of slippers.

linda and henry, the married power couple! my favorite hc about them is that linda prefers novels and henry prefers comics and cartoons, but they both care about what one another like and try to follow along with whatever the other is passionate about at the time.

Oh, definitely Sammy and Benry. I have a weakness for relationships where two people help each other grow as people because they cover each other’s bases. Henry is friendly, if a little shy, and has a good work ethic and strong sense of self, and Sammy is more professional, a little bit grouchy, but he also has a lot of determination. they’re good friends for each other!

it might be a cop-out to say ‘any’, but i genuinely think benry sleeps in whatever way he can. it’s a headcanon of mine that henry used to fall asleep at his desk, face smushed into the easel-thing, so i guess i’ll just go with when he DOES sleep, it has to be vaguely stable and not entirely made out of bees.

their favorite drink

for some reason, irish coffee? just a little bit of cream and a splash of liquor, and the coffee has to be hot as possible. something to keep him awake but also keep him from getting the jitters.
