Back at it again, as your friendly neighbourhood Wade-in-a-cropped-top enthusiast to say, more rhetorical and in need of validation, but Wade definitely has self-made cropped tops, right? Like there's shirts where the graphs are just at the right height that when he cuts them shorter, it doesn't ruin the design. And I like to think that Ellie and/or Yukio, and Peter, whenever they're outside at a mall or thrift shop, would rummage through shirts and pull out a top and show it to Wade who then folds it to simulate if it'd look good a cropped top or an overly sized, baggy shirt to sleep in during nights that are just a tad colder, just a tad harsher for him to sleep comfortably without his usual routine of not having a shirt on or something.

#rwby #yang xiao long #yang rwby #redesign #character redesign #gold's edits #in case anyone was wondering #the flaming wheel pattern is not a reference to her bike #it's actually a nod to nezha from chinese mythology #yang's character arc and backstory have a lot in common with nezha's story so i wanted to combine that with the goldilocks aesthetic #a lot of her outfit was structured with nezha (and li ling from dislyte) in mind but made to be cutesy for the goldilocks feel #also the boots are oversized because they're not hers #i showed a friend who doesn't watch rwby a wip shot of this redesign and he suggested giving yang steel-toed boots #that were too big for her because “she stole them from papa bear”#which i found so fucking funny that i added it in but decided that she took them from junior instead since that guy is huge #and he's technically the only one of the bears that yang actually met #yes. this also means that junior walked around in public with boots that had tiny bears on them.
