am i the only one who's not intersted in "is stolas good or bad father" discoure because in either cases their relationship seem empty and shollow
the only thing we know about them is they spent time togther sometimes they don't. but what is in they exactly do in that time except singing lullabies and going to parks . like sure when you're a parent you are your child's best friend but you're also their mentor teacher ,nurse and thearpy should i assume that stolas is good at all those things just because he play with his daughter when she was young .
also i'm speaking as somoene who is in age similiar to via's age (today is my 18th birthday if sinsmas is octavia birthday eposide that makes me 2 monthes older than her) even tho the teen/father relationship would be diffrent from family to other , most teenager like to distane themselves from their parents and rather to discouver who they are outside their parents wings and not the other way around espacially if they disappoint them. the fact that via is still too dependent on her father makes me think her needs wasn't totally fulfill as child , but again those relationship diffrent from someone to other so i might be wrong .
(also those who call octavia selfish spoiled child to defend stolas don't realize they're calling out stolas becase he raised her like that)
That’s fair enough. All the relationships are pretty shallow. I can tell stolas was very involved in his daughter’s life when she was little but took a step back when she grew older. And Octavia seems as though she could’ve been depressed even before the cheating, which only made everything worse.
I’d like some idea of their daily routine because my goodness. The three of them just hang around the palace doing absolutely nothing. What is stolas job??
As for teacher and mentor? Pfft!!! Yeah he’s supposed to be teaching her magic, but their spellbook is GONE 29 nights out of 30. I think vivzie forgot that this means stolas cant teach her any spells! I realised this after @arteicetb s video on the subject, the only channel I’ve seen that has properly gone into his problems as a parent in my opinion.
I’d like to see just a few scenes of Octavia engaging in her hobbies and talking to her friends. Example: creating some taxidermy and speaking about why she likes preserving the image of life in something that is dead. It is a strange practice but it is a form of art with an interesting philosophy behind it. Demonic zoology is also just a really cool world building concept? Octavia loves the strange dark and macabre according to Instagram but until that’s put in the show it isn’t properly canon. She’s also trying to write her own music.
This is perhaps random but I’d love a scene like this, Stella teaching Octavia how to hold a royal ball, and all the stuffy requirements that come with it.
- you must wear several corsets and frills
- expressions must be just so
- don’t sit a Marquis above a Duke
- curtsy to royalty, wave to nobility
- do not allow entry of commoners. No exceptions.
youtube
While Via struggles with the status quo and traditions of things because stolas has raised her to be a normal gen-z child. However he knows this is a temporary lifestyle until she’s 18 and makes her “debutante” ball. Octavia did not know this. Stella knows that stolas has only given her the childhood he wanted, the life of a commoner, which has set her up for failure. Octavia doesn’t even know her parents had an arranged marriage because stolas insisted on lying to her for 18 years for the sake of a “normal life”
Octavia entering adulthood without her father, and reflecting on both the good parts and the bad parts of his parenting, could be a really interesting direction for her. She is none of the things her father’s fans say she is. His fans are only protecting the flaws of their precious little near-40-year-old boy from his teenage daughter.

Hi hi, it's me muzzle anon again ! How are you? I hope you are doing well, also sorry for this long rambling-
I juST remembered that when lyney and lynette were announced (?) some people thought that they would be One playable character, so I immediately thought how fragile reader and dottore being one playable character lol
just switching between them when you do a charge attack like furina's ability but instead of just color palate changing, a whole new person gets on the field lol
It's fun to imagine what their voiceline would be :]
Especially if we imagine that the only reason you would switch would be because they are in a fight when changing so the voicelines would be worried and/or intense?
And also fragile!reader being a support character and dottore being a DPS would fit the whole "we only need/have each other" mindset going on ?
ALSO ALSO when you add them to your team they could come into the screen dancing? Waltzing into their section then standing close to each other <3 evil couple being cool vibes
Their idle and voicelines probably would be still the same ?, talking as if the other is not there but maybe one special idle is like that one twirle/dance (?) idle from honkai star rail with Clara and Svarog? OH and Clara stumbles in that idle and svarog catches her , makes sense since fragile reader stumbles while trying to dance too so Dottore catches them by their waist and smirks, sharp teeth full display
...Also you know how characters has voicelines for hits/ damage? Reader and Dottore could have voicelines for warning each other to be careful, especially Dottore getting very worried when reader takes a heavy hit but when it comes to other characters he just goes scara mode maybe worse than, "Why are you even here?" or similiar to xiao going, "Weak."
(And maybe reader comparing the character that took damage to Dottore, praising him while degrading them gently lol <3)
Tho I'm not really sure how the teapot would work lol maybe there would be an option to switch them like you switch from night to day lol OR they automatically change when it's day/night I imagine that fragile reader would like the day time more and Dottore night, because he is a shady guy (and also because when he looks up to stars he remembers the Akademia days he had with reader and how they used to also stare at the stars <3)
With them being considered one character, now they are together forever <3
Sorry for the long message again <3 also english is not my first language so sorry if some parts seem weird I just rambled a lot without checking since i got very excited of the idea of a playable reader after the last post ehehe anyway hope u and everyone has a nice night/day!
- muzzle anon
OH MY GOSH NFKFEWFE I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MUZZLE ANON... ugh fragile reader and Dottore being playable is so real!! And i too remember that about the twins!! man that was really long ago huh? Anyway...
I ADORE the idea of them switching while doing a charge attack!! omfgrfwfr I can just imagine reader doing a dramatic, fancy pose and then it switches to Dottore rolling his eyes at your antics and adjusting his gloves... ugh he loves to indulge you, doesn't he? And hear me out too: instead of pneuma/ousia... two different elements/weapons too. They're just meta like that 😌 and extra supports who? Bennett? Nah, we don't need him. Reader is all the support Dottore needs to one-shot everyone <3 I imagine Dottore is the one who tries to hoard the screen time (he prefers to fight instead of you, he's worried about you pushing yourself too hard, but eventually he has to realize that he has to let you do your own thing too... he's hella overprotective still)
THE ADDING THEM INTO YOUR PARTY ANIMATION... CHEF'S KISS. I like to imagine reader is the one who tries to take the lead in this stuff :) Because even though they're still sick they're better than before, so they want to take advantage of that as much as they can and show Dottore how much they've changed :) You pull him into the frame of the screen and he twirls you around as you fall back into his chest, hands still intertwined :3 (traveler looking at your dramatic asses) AND THE IDEA OF DOTTORE CATCHING FRAGILE READER DURING THEIR IDLES...... UGHREGR WHY DO YOU BLESS ME WITH SO MANY GOOD IDEAS. Reader trying their best to hide their lousy skills from Dottore so they can get better on their own, but nope! You should have known that your husband is always watching you, nothing gets past him! He catches you by the waist only to pull you back up with ease and spin you around flawlessly, chuckling as you stumble right back into his chest.
Dottore would straight up not care at ALL about the other members if they got hurt 💀, I imagine he'd only speak if anything happened to you, or he'd be condescending about how useless they were 💀 reader is similar but they're nicer to others, like if a fellow Harbinger got hurt, they'd worry, but if it was an Archon or someone that annoys them, in general, they'd just laugh at them (and receive little to no healing)
In the teapot, I like to imagine they have two separate bodies there when you place them, so they just always stand next to close to each other. When you talk to either of them, both of them will end up having a conversation with you. Also, when you make them specific furnishings they like each of them and will comment on the other's tastes lol (Dottore - makeshift lab, you - cozy Sumerian room)
"Huh, will it kill you to put away the research? You do not need a lab in the teapot, dear."
"Oh, but I do, [Name]. How else will I make your medicine?"
"Ah... sorry about that. How about you come to my room later so we can relax?"
Traveler: ...
They are truly the embodiment of do not separate.
UGH I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THEM!! 😭 let's not forget the matching skins... you and him in the Akademiya's uniforms again ;) AND DONT APOLOGIZE MUZZLE ANON!! I LOVE THIS AND LONG ASKS!!
#smooches talks#muzzle anon#fragile reader <3#dottore love notes <3#playable reader <3#i just love them so much oh ym gosh#i cant dance for shit but!! they're just elegant like that!!#well its more like dottore is elegant. ur just trying ur best#but yes. i imagine fragile reader enjoys the day because they havent felt the sun warm them so nicely in so long#and the teapot is the perfect temp... they love it!

Still in love with the fact that "Into the Spider-Verse" had Miles facing down the question of: "Can someone like him BE Spider-Man?" (Yes!) And then "Across the Spider-Verse" followed up with Miles facing down the question of: "Is there a specific way that you have to do being Spider-Man?" (And presumably "Beyond the Spider-Verse" will finish answering this.)
Because it definitely seems to be a point of conflict for legacy characters, not only to face pushback for whether they're allowed to step into the shoes at all, but to then face pushback for how they walk forward. If it's too similiar, then they get accused of copying and being boring. If it's too different, then it's accused of being too radical and unfaithful. They are constantly being compared to the original (to be fair, this is unavoidable with legacy characters, and I don't think comparison is inherently bad) and there often seems to be no way for them to "win" acceptance. There sometimes seems to be a general lack of compassion from audiences and an unwillingness to suspend disbelief in order to give them an honest chance.
Why does Miles Morales' Spider-Man need to follow the exact same life events and story beats as Peter Parker's Spider-Man? He's not Peter Parker. They had different pasts. They have different presents. Miles Morales deserves to explore a different way of being Spider-Man and new narratives. It's all so meta and so cool.

Can you do a crossover between JJKXLookism? Where after the battle with Sukuna, Gojo dies(still hoping he comes back and I'm so sad at the latest update of JJK) and transmigrated to the popular webtoon Lookism. Gojo is shock at his new appearance (still the same face, hair and eyes) he became a female. At first, he curse his predicament but then learns to roll with it. He figures that maybe changing the tragic lives of the characters will make him comeback to his real world. Gojo applies as a teacher in J-High where he rolls with the chaos and takes advantage of his new appearance. Gojo finds it amusing and loves to tease his new students with his female version. Surprisingly, Gojo retains the six eyes although not as draining as before and he has no CE it's just that he can just see really well than normal people. Everyone is surprised to see Gojo's strength not only he is fast but also a great martial artist which he likes to humble brag especially against the villains (he fought curse users and special grade curses all his life, this world is a cake walk to him) as well as trolling them. Eventually, Gojo regrets it as he gain stalkers along the way (Gun, GooSamuel, etc). Even after brutally rejecting them and listing a lot of excuses (like telling them that he is older than them, likes girls, they're too weak etc.cause he is still a guy at heart) they won't stop and will use Gojo's love for sweets to blackmail him for a date. Gojo will snap once his students gets into dangerous situations (flashbacks to when he got sealed and a lot of important people in his life died) and will absolutely go berserk. Female Gojo is friends with the 1st Gen Kings (he is the same age as them when he transmigrated so he became a bit younger) especially Kwak Jin Chang (he looks like Nanami even the cheekbones) and treats him the same way as Nanami
' I'M SO BORED ! - JJK & Lookism crossover
ft. Fem! Reincarnated! Gojo x Various Lookism
Synopsis: After the fight with Sukuna, Gojo was reincarnated to Lookism and became a teacher there. As a teacher himself back then, he began to care for his students like Daniel and automatically landed him in the spotlight of the Lookism universe. Could he still awaken his six eyes?
Tags & TW/CW: Lookism-typical violence, stalking, death, spoilers, crack.

❝Some sick hallucination is telling me go overboard.❞ — I'm so bored by Sarah and the Sundays
Wow. Just wow.
Gojo couldn't help but be surprised. Seriously though, what's going on here?
There's no way this is real. He's never met a deity, and frankly, the whole thing seems messed up. Why is he in a woman's body? At least he looks good, gotta give credit where it's due. He's basically a walking advertisement for good genes.
But most importantly, he's just... normal now. No curses, no cursed energy. He remembers his skills, but can he use them here? He'll find a way.
First priority: checking his surroundings. This place is a lot less luxurious than his usual digs, but hey, at least the girl (whoever she is) has a wallet. Even though Gojo thinks that he is really the owner because of the uncanny similiarities to his old self, he can't be too sure. Memory wipe seems to be prominent. No trace of the original owner anywhere, which explains the amnesia of memories. This body truly feels like his own, down to the familiar face staring back in the mirror. Gojo can't ignore this situation. Fake memories or not, a Jujutsu Sorcerer never lets his guard down.
With no cursed threats to fight for now, Gojo takes a practical approach. Gotta pay the bills somehow, right? Besides, that shampoo situation is a disaster. This body needs some serious TLC.
Stepping outside, Gojo's jaw dropped. Korea? A frustrated sigh escaped his lips. "Seriously, what is this?"
Walking down the unfamiliar streets, he had to adjust his thinking. He was in a woman's body now, so using she/her pronouns was crucial. His feet led him to a bustling playground, filled with the laughter of children. The scene felt strangely real, not some twisted illusion. Perhaps, in a way, it was...peaceful.
He missed Yuji and everyone back home. He'd poured his heart into training them, giving them the strength to fight. A pang of longing hit him, but a determined glint entered his eyes. They would have to wait for his return. After all, he wouldn't give up so easily.
At the end of the day, his search for work led him to a job posting at J High. Teaching was ingrained in him, so it felt like a natural fit. Getting the job was a surprise, but the school itself was even more unexpected.
The students here were...spirited, to say the least. Fights were a frequent occurrence. However, the school also embraced individuality. Departments like fashion allowed students to break the mold and express themselves freely through clothing. Gojo, who always appreciated a good rule-breaker, couldn't help but admire their approach.
Despite being in a female body, Gojo managed to convince the school she was Japanese, reasoning her way through the situation. Daniel and his classmates were surprised by a mid-semester transfer, especially when they heard it was a woman. The buzz spread quickly went viral around the school – a new female teacher was joining them!
When she entered the classroom, all eyes were on her. Her snow-white hair was pulled back in a high ponytail, and thick, round sunglasses concealed her eyes. A glimpse of piercing blue peeked through, a stark contrast to her soft expression and delicate features. Male students fumbled for their seats, faces flushed with a mix of awe and shyness. Female students watched with a mix of envy and admiration.
Until Gojo spoke.
"Welcome to J High, class! Buckle up because you're about to learn from the most awesome, most beautiful teacher ever… ME, Gojo Satoru! Get ready for an unforgettable experience!"
The students were stunned. Who was this vibrant woman? Some of the boys seemed excited by her bold statement, but confusion settled in. A mid-semester change was disruptive enough, but what was with the infectious energy?
One thing was undeniable: Gojo was stunning. Her beauty was unmatched, surpassing even the school's resident "goddess," Crystal.
"And guess what? You're about to have the coolest, most fabulous teacher ever walk through these doors... that's right, it's me again!"
And then she walked through those doors again quite quickly if Zack were to say something about it. Did you know the way Gojo looked when he realized Megumi just looked like Toji? Yeah, Zack was having that look right now.
Who was this odd professor that suddenly was brought up?
Gojo's curriculum remained a mystery. She hadn't mentioned a subject yet, but she did dedicate a significant amount of time to...well, not exactly lesson plans. Unlike most teachers, Gojo had an aversion to written materials. Instead, her classes focused entirely on performance tasks.
Students like Zack thrived in this environment. He secretly considered Gojo his favorite teacher already. The hands-on approach was engaging, and Zack felt a growing sense of gratitude towards her.
Then, on the third day, a glimmer of clarity emerged. Gojo's class revolved around physical fitness, though she never actually uttered the term. It was simply "Gojo's way" of teaching. For Daniel and his classmates, it was a refreshing change from the traditional methods they were accustomed to.
Gojo praised students who excelled and offered personalized feedback for improvement. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and the students responded well to the energetic and engaging classes.
"Best fucking teacher ever." Zack grins.
Mira quipps. "Is he though?"
Mira and Zack exchanged a glance. Their new teacher, Gojo, had a…unique way of teaching. She was currently mid-exercise with a student (Jay, to be specific) and had paused to deliver a passionate speech about, well, herself. Dramatic poses and hair flips punctuated her enthusiastic monologue.
Both sweatdropped. Yeah, Gojo was definitely unconventional.
Jay, the unfortunate target of her praise, stood patiently as Gojo extolled her own beauty. Thankfully, the speech hadn't completely derailed the lesson. Just before, Gojo had commended Jay's speed and technique, offering valuable feedback before getting sidetracked. "You're giving it your all, but that fire's starting to flicker! Remember, endurance is all about consistency. It's like a marathon, not a sprint. Gotta pace yourself, beautiful!"
Jay cracked a shy smile, a hint of pink dusting his cheeks.
Zack watched the exchange between Jay and Gojo, a sour taste creeping into his mouth. Gojo's hand lingered a beat too long on Jay's shoulder, her praise dripping with a sugary sweetness that made Zack clench his fists.
Crystal, observing from the back of the room, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Gojo's flamboyant teaching style. This new teacher was undeniably unconventional, with her dramatic poses and energetic lectures. Yet, beneath the theatricality, Crystal sensed a surprising competence. Gojo's demonstrations were swift and precise, showcasing an impressive level of physical skill.
It was a stark contrast to the more traditional methods employed by Gun. Crystal wasn't sure what Gojo's background was, but it was clear she possessed a unique approach that somehow managed to be effective.
That's because she fought battles with non-human creatures.
Crystal couldn't resist investigating the commotion. Curiosity gnawed at her, a feeling all too familiar to humans. She buzzed Gun, hoping he could shed some light on the situation.
"Is something wrong, Crystal?" Gun answered.
"Hey Gun, sorry to bother you during work, but it's about the new teacher."
"Teacher?" Gun raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, she just seems...off. Odd way of acting, super strong, and way too good-looking to be real." Crystal joked at the end.
Crystal launched into a detailed description. The teacher had waist-length snow-white hair and piercing blue eyes hidden behind thick sunglasses. On top of that, she was incredibly tall and flawless, like a living statue. It was unsettling.
"I'll check it out when I get a chance," Gun promised.
Meanwhile, Vasco watched the chaos unfold below. Students were grumbling openly, their respect seemingly nonexistent towards their teacher who was behaving childishly.
Jace strained for a glimpse of the new teacher, but the window was two far as he wasn't on a window seat. Unlike Jace, Vasco found himself impressed. After all, who wouldn't be when witnessing her teach students to defend themselves?
The bell announcing the end of class finally pierced the air. Jace and Vasco immediately made their way towards the teacher.
Jace let out a low whistle. "We'll be lucky to learn anything from her with all this chaos."
"Lucky? I'd say incredibly fortunate," Vasco countered, eager to meet her.
"Fortunate, huh?" Jace muttered, and they headed towards the cafeteria.
The new teacher, Gojo, had clearly captured everyone's attention. Even Zoe couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Gojo's seemingly flawless appearance, aside from her personality, was undeniable. Zoe's lips formed a pout every time Gojo slung her arm around Daniel, leaving the poor boy flustered and stammering in response.
Vin Jin, on the other hand, seemed unaffected by the professorial boundaries. He wasted no time turning on the charm, much to the amusement (or perhaps annoyance) of those around him.
"So, strong glasses huh? Keeping all the secrets for yourself?"
"Secrets are what make things interesting, don't you think? Besides, these eyes can see more than you bargain for." Gojo would just leans closer with a smirk.
Daniel's knuckles strained white as his grip tightened on the aluminum can. Metal groaned in protest, warping under the pressure until the sides began to buckle. A low hiss escaped him, more through gritted teeth than his lips. This wasn't about his usual frustration with bullies or unwanted attention. Envy, raw and unwelcome, twisted his gut.
Vin Jin's grin stretched from ear to ear, practically walking on air after his instant rapport with the new teacher, Gojo. Unfortunately, their conversation was cut short as Gojo disappeared from the scene before he could even blink. Left hanging, Vin Jin found himself empty-handed.
Meanwhile, Gun had arrived at J High, eager to investigate Crystal's concerns about the new teacher. Unfortunately, his mission was complicated by Goo's unexpected presence. Goo, ever the pest, tagged along, lollipop in hand. And as if the situation wasn't bothersome enough, Goo seemed to find amusement in poking Gun's cheeks with the sticky candy, a habit Gun found utterly revolting.
"Stalking for the boss are sooo last season. Don't you ever get tired of being such a stick in the mud? Lighten up a little!"
"Lighten up? I'm dealing with things that could get me killed by the chairman, Goo. Not a fashion show."
"Speaking of fashion, have you seen the new line of those fluffy panda plushies?"
"Here we go again... And--would you stop that poking? Do it another fucking second and I will punt you to the ground."
"Fine, fine. But hey, how about a little reward after we're done? My treat - taiyaki on me! My treat if you can guess the filling this time."
A welcome distraction from Goo's antics emerged in the form of a commotion erupting within J High. Gun and Goo followed Crystal, their gazes drawn to a fight unfolding in the central.
There, amidst the chaos, stood Gojo, the enigmatic new teacher Crystal had mentioned. She wasn't even fighting.
For Gun, witnessing Gojo firsthand was a sensory overload. Every detail, from the way her snow-white hair flowed with her movements to the glint of defiance in her diamond-bright eyes and the smirk permanently etched on her face, surpassed Crystal's description.
Across from him, Goo mirrored Gun's stunned expression. Glasses slid down to the tip of his nose, his mouth agape in disbelief, he watched Gojo's fluid movements with wide eyes. The fight had escalated – Gojo was facing off against Logan Lee.
"You'll regret fighting with me!"
"Wow, impressive coordination. Maybe you should take up interpretive dance instead of being a total jackass to my student."
Daniel scanned the scene, his heart pounding. No other teachers were in sight, not a single one within range to intervene in the escalating fight. The situation was bizarre – a college student, Logan Lee, facing off against a seemingly outmatched professor, Gojo, the woman Crystal had described as "strong."
But strength wasn't the only thing that captivated Gun and Goo's attention. Gojo's fighting style was unlike anything they'd ever witnessed. It was a dance of fluidity, a mesmerizing blend of lightning and water. Her movements were swift and effortless, devoid of any wasted energy or muscle tension. It was a spectacle both beautiful and deadly.
"What the...? I... I'll crush you!"
"This is getting tedious. You're about as effective as a wet noodle against a wall. How about you take a nap and we can try this again when you've woken up from your little tantrum?"
Logan, his attacks becoming increasingly desperate, flailed wildly for a few final moments before crumpling to the ground with a pained groan. Gojo, with a sigh that spoke volumes of her boredom, dusted herself off with a theatrical flourish, her movements emphasizing the gulf in skill between them.
Reflexes and speed are unmatched. Focus on how she reacts with lightning-fast movements, dodging or deflecting attacks with minimal effort. She doesn't waste energy on overwhelming force, but uses calculated strikes to dismantle her opponent's attacks. Gun thought.
"Well, that was a disappointment. Back to paperwork, I suppose. Anyone up for taiyaki later? My treat, for surviving that ordeal."
And she brushes it off as if it did some number on her. Even students like daniel, Zack, Vasco, Jay and Eli Jang knew it, not just Gun and Goo.
Goo, ever the unpredictable one, shot his hand up in the air. A wave of confusion rippled through the crowd. Was this some bizarre J High initiation ritual they hadn't heard of?
This is only the beginning...

i made a post regarding Wave and Storm's friendship days ago and as i'm bored and already had a draft for this, i finally decided to elaborate on that. This post is gonna be long as hell, and hell, so brace yourselves.
Judging by the dynamic they hold throughout the first two Riders game i think it's pretty clear they know each other a lot, and seem also to tolerate one another well. Wave is sassy and gets aggressive easily, and while others find this annoying or intimidating, Storm not only tolerates it but even pisses her off voluntairly because he KNOWS how she would react. The first cutscene of the Babylon story in OG Riders he does exactly that by denying her taking the Babylon Garden's key , even mocking her just to get a laugh. Not only that, but Wave as well, who was getting visibly angry, instead plays along by seeming cutesy.
(sorry for no subtitles with OGSR, i only have footage of all the cutscenes in japanese with no text) Pretty sure if it was someone else she wouldn't have tried with puppy eyes but would've straight up snatched the thing from their hands and maybe slapped them. And even if Wave got actually angry at Storm, like some scenes later when Storm returns to Jet lamenting how he lost in the Grand Prix, he seems to overreact to a comical extent instead of actually getting hurt by what she says. "But what if he actually did?" Maybe he did? but come on look at this
He's SO dramatic about it, and the when Jet calls them out he immediately locks in. my guess is, again, he's used to it and likes to make up some drama I say this because whenever Storm would enter Jet's office to report/lament about something and Wave had comments to say, like literally calling him worthless lol, he would just shove it off like it was nothing. Literally he just looks at her like ''wth do you want girl''
Also you can see Wave smiling in the process! She enjoys mocking Storm just as much as he does with her
He's used to this; she is used to this. They like poking fun at one another because they know each other enough to be comfortable doing so, and i think that's as high as you can get in a friendship. Something similiar happens in Zg as well, but i'll talk about it later on.
Not to mention the back slap Storm gives Wave that almost had her fall on the ground for telling Jet they should get going because ''he wanted to say it'', and all Wave does is give him the eye like ''are u fr'', acting like she wasn't about to spit her whole left lung out.
Again, as i said before with the cube, i'm pretty sure Wave would've been LIVID if somebody else did that to her, but she just lets it slide because Storm did it! Again, another pretty good demonstration they're very comfortable with one another. And before beginning to talk about Zero Gravity... big shout out to the introductive cutscene. Storm got his board stolen and went flying in the air and instead of leaving him behind, Wave goes and catches him, dragging him until they manage to return Type-S back.
yeah not gonna pretend some of these screenshots ain't goofy af Point is, having 80 kg/ 176 lbs of weight attached to your Extreme Gear, not even properly balanced, has to be hard as hell, but Wave still went though the hustle in order to carry him along with her and Jet despite him losing his EG. Thus i'd safely say that they also DO care about each other, which people might not realise immediately due to their love language being shitting on one another. But actually, there's another example of this care being shown. When Jet and Wave were in Green Forest/Cave whatever, waiting for Storm to return, she was visibly agitated wondering what happened to him, going as far as interrupting Jet's nap because of all the noise she was making Put a video with this one not only to show how stressed she was, but also because in Chie Nakamura's voice she sounds so darn adorable
The same thing happens in ZG, and while she is way more laid back about it, she still is the one to notice him missing in the room, following the others' observation of Amy's absence by stating Storm wasn’t in the room as well. In general she seems to be the one worrying about the her mate's presence or not, Storm's in particular as he was the one always going in missions or getting lost.
Now, speaking about Wave and Storm in Zero Gravity's sphere... i can't say much, as the writers decided they should've barely spoken to one another. However there still are some things to mention. For example how stupidly they act alike when carefully waiting for Jet to extract the Ark of the Cosmos from the altar, even giving them the facepalm right after. Nothing too see here, folks. Just two besties sharing the grand total of one single braincell
Just to look at Jet like the did something. ''Yeah boss the site is clear'' no way dudes, really? lol This scene is not a big deal , but it's still remarkable to some degree when talking about their friendship. Wave's the intellingent and cynical one, and yet still manages to act as silly as Storm when found in a situation like this. It's like meeting your comfort person after a long day of work, with whom you can be more open with. Also could be that Storm’s energy is so strong to be able to influence even a mind as sharp as Wave’s. The same thing happens again a couple of seconds after. Once again not a singular functioning braincell visible in this screenshot
Now to the bit i was talking about earlier. i won't analyze too further into it as i basically explained earlier what this kind of interaction makes emerge about their relationship. Wave sees a shooting star, and decides to make a wish. Storm notices that and mocks her and basically calls her immature, until he searches for approval from Jet and sees him doing the same. Despite this, Wave seems to ignore what he had to say completely.
It's basically the situation that once took place in OGSR making its comeback in ZG, with the difference that now the roles are reversed, and results are pretty much the same with Storm making fun of Wave and her giving him the cold shoulder, just like he used to do everytime he bursted into Jet's office and Wave was ready to blast roasts. Mean words don't necessairly cause emotional weight for them when it's the other saying them because, again, they're probably used to that. Also Storm's comment could've just been something he didn't really think about, and Wave noticed that and just ignored it. Even in this case there's got to be some degree of understanding to know when to actually get hurt by a mean affirmation. This actually happens when Wave announces to Jet to have found something interesting about the ancient texts they had discovered. She goes on to say she would paraphrase what was written in them, and basically suggested simplifying it so bad as a way to call both Storm and Jet dumb. She didn't hint a single bit of sarcasm with that, and in fact Storm genuinely looked hurt (and Jet's pride was just as much).
(this dialogue lives forever free to roam in my heart because it was the ONLY thing that brought back from the dead Wave's mean but witty attitude from the first game. She was so watered down in ZG, but that's another topic) Unfortunately after this there isn't much left about them, BUT the peculiarity of these last things left is the way they communicate without pronouncing a single word. This happens twice: the first time after finding Jet and reassuring him about obtaining the Ark of the Cosmos Amy has a hold on, and the second time while reacting to Jet's intention of betting on the Ark of the Cosmos while challenging Sonic to a race on their way to Eggman through Crimson Tower.
They didn't babble a single word, but still managed to convey their thoughts to each other. The first example displays the scenario of just them being in agreement over the plan for what's to come, as Jet accepted Wave's suggestion. However, the second one in particular shows their bond pretty strongly, because when they heard Jet say what he said, they IMMEDIATELY looked at one another, trying to see if they were thinking the same about what they've just heard, and by their faces of disbelief, my guess is yeah, they did: "Did you hear the same bullshit i heard or??". So not only the first thing they did before anything else was going to the other one to know about their opinion, but they ended up having the same one and agreeing, too. Thus this goes to show Wave values Storm opinion more that anybody else's, and viceversa Storm with Wave (without including Jet, of course), and that despite them being opposites they manage to read the other one very well to the point of just needing a look in the eyes to say something. Overall i think Wave and Storm's friendship is quite strong and definitely genuine. They're a duo of bestfriends i can definitely picture as real people, because this kind of contact and unterstanding is something you would see happening between two close friends. I'm definitely bitter about the fact that they have been reduced to ''Jet's friend and that’s it''s, making them talk exclusively to him and not to each other. Don't give me wrong, i love Jet, but i just think Wave and Storm work better with one another. Jet's got to be more professional and composed around the two because of his status as a leader, thus making him take a more emotional distance from them (which sometimes slips): Storm is his loyal sideckick, and Wave is the mechanic of the group. That's it. On the other hand, Wave and Storm don't seem to have given actual labels to one another, as they don't need to do so, and unsurprisingly they act much more like friends who got put in the same group project. This might have also led them to develop a stronger bond, as they got ''stuck'' in the same trio and had to get to know the other in order to be able to collaborate and complete whatever task they needed to do. I guess this is it. i apologize as there might be some weird wording, and the post itself isn't well organized in general. i literally grabbed my stream of consciousness and slapped it on this post. Also i kept writing it in hours like 2/3 am oh yeah, little bonus:
Do i even need to say something? This is the vibe i was referring to while describing Storm and Wave's friendship as ''being friends stuck in the same group project" lmfao

♡˗ˏ✎*ೃ˚ 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕤𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕪 ₊˚ˑ༄
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ @kataba request: Hi there, Bee! Could I request Tsukasa, Akito, and Toya with an s/o who has a large number of older siblings (they're the youngest child)?
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Hi kataba!! ^^ Yeah absolutely! I might've written it quite badly since I'm the oldest sibling but... I tried!!
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ fluff
✧ Akito definitely knows a bit about being the younger sibling... and trust me, he doesn't have too many nice stories to tell. Or... maybe he's hiding them?
✧ either way, when he discovers you're the youngest sibling, he immidietly sees room to have mutual obstacles
"Oh! I'm youngest sibling too!"
"Seriously? Well that's a similiarity... how's your oldest sibling?"
"Which one?"
"Which o- uh... How many of siblings do you have-?"
"Around 8..."
"EIGHT?! AND WHAT DO YOU MEANT AROUND?!!"
✧ he's under big impression how you manage to deal with this much older siblings when he hardly deals with one!
✧ but from your stories, he also starts to think that Ena just must be hard to deal with in general
✧ when he hears this many stories, he actually kinda wants to meet them! Maybe not the... energetic and problematic ones... but the calm, kind and mature ones sound pretty cool and obviously he wants to have good relationship with your family
✧ I feel like your siblings would have 50/50 about him... some would love him, some would have mixed feelings for him, but none of them would hate him! After all, he shows his good side for a reason~

@bleachtheidiot @akitosheart @yulikesminori @toyaswif3y @miya-akane @hayillaaaaaaa @stellas-starry-stove13 @nenes-numberonefan - come get your pancake lover!
✧ Toya doesn't have any siblings, so when you mention you're the youngest from many siblings, he's immidietly intrigued
✧ he only heard few stories from Akito, but he already got to know he tends to... exaggerate his stories a bit...
"Oh? This many siblings? How was life with them?"
"Well~ When I was aging up, I..."
✧ he's genuinely interested in your stories and how aging up looked from you view
✧ he doesn't have any siblings so of course he's interested how it feels to have so many and be the youngest of them all!
✧ you don't even need to ask him if he want's to meet your siblings, the moment you start telling your stories, his face says it all
✧ he's so nervous for nothing! All of your siblings definitely would love him, he's just so sweet and mature, maybe comes off as a bit shy and nervous but they don't mind! They all aproved of him <3
✧ and let me tell you, if you let him on a little secret, that all of your siblings liked him, you'll see the cutest smile ever!!
"They really did? Well I couldn't be more glad~ I was nervous I might've been too... quiet..."

@bleachtheidiot @akitosheart @yulikesminori @toyaswif3y @miya-akane @toyaslove @bl4cktourmaline @r4wrclwz @stellas-starry-stove13 - come get your cookie lover!
✧ Tsukasa immidietly gives you the "I knew it!" text for some reason... is it the big brother magic that he could tell? You'll never know...
"Yeah, I'm the youngest sibling of like... 8?"
"Hah! I knew you were the youngest! It's written all around you, my star!"
"How-"
✧ he just laughs it off... you'll definitely never discover why, because Saki has no idea how he could know either-
✧ either way, he's still eager to know how it looks from youngest siblings so he'll listen your stories and in exchange tell you his own!
✧ you also odn't need to ask him if he wants to meet your family, the moment you start telling him stories about your siblings, he literally exclaims he wants to meet them
"Huh, so that's how they are... Well they seem great! I can't wait for the day of our meeting in that case! I'll make sure to prepare my best entrance for this special occasion!!"
"Oh cool, where are you free?"
"Any time! I could even go like right now! Oh but wait... I'd have so little time to prepare... Well then maybe tomorrow!"
✧ I feel like your siblings would have a little bit of 50/50 with him too... most like him but for some he's just a bit too... loud and energetic and all... but they still approve since he seems to be a nice guy?

Curious, but do you know of anything Marinette is bad at? I didn't realize this until before, but Marinette always seems to be presented as amazing at everything. Like, I can get baking and designing, since they're things she's had personal experience in, but everything else? She's either super amazing or she needed five minutes of instruction and she's incredible.
Gaming? Absolute pro. Art? Amazing. Fencing? Just a little help from Adrien, and she's so good. So far, the skills she's presented to be absolutely amazing at: gaming, fencing, art, fashion, costume design (surprise surprise, fashion and costume design are two different avenues), baking, DIY, mechanical engineering (Miracle box hiding place and snapping diary box), fighting, leadership, decision-making, Guardianship, school (somehow straight-A student despite her tardiness and Ladybug issues).
And that's all I can get off the top of my head. I'm scared that there might be more. The only things I can think of that she's bad at is ice skating (which feels like a plot device for the Frozer episode, since she adapted so quickly to ice-skating as Icebug) and talking to Adrien.
I have a character (non-MLB) with the kind of genius that lets her master anything if she's seen it two or three times, but that genius has limitations itself that later compels her to actually think and work hard to master said subject. But Marinette is never even implied to be similiar to this, and everything she's good at is just passed off as "Amazing Marinette" and then left alone.
What do you think? If there's any other examples of things she's bad at, clumsiness nonwithstanding, please tell me, because this thought is driving me bonkers.
Nothing comes to mind, though I will say that Marinette wasn't a very good fencer. Then again, the show is actually laughably bad at portraying fencing, so I guess we just have to take Adrien's word for it that she was good. (I fenced for several years. May even have my old meddles somewhere as proof, though I doubt it.)
This isn't unique to Marinette, though. Most of the teen characters are absurdly talented. Kitty Section was so cool XY stole their music and their look. Alya runs a blog that's so successful that she was interviewed on national TV (end of PrimeQueen). Nino got to be on that TV competition in Simon Says. Max has tech in a literal space ship. The list goes on and on. Marinette just has more than most because she's the main character.
This isn't necessarily a flaw. It's normal for kids shows to have kid/teen characters who are super cool and talented because the goal is to inspire real kids to try things. The only reason it feels like a flaw in Miraculous is that this type of super-cool can-do-anything character is usually reserved for low-stakes episodic shows. Serialized shows (aka, shows with an overarching plot) will still have kid and teen characters who do the things adults usually do because that's what the target audience wants to see, but these kid and teen character will be a lot more nuanced and flawed. They're allowed to fail because their stories can take multiple episodes to resolve whereas characters in episodic shows have to have everything figured out and wrapped up in 20 minutes, allowing for way less nuance to their characters.
Because Miraculous is trying to be both an episodic and a serialized show, you get a lot of awkward characterization and writing. Sitcom drama with prestige TV stakes. We want Miraculous' cast to feel like they belong in a serialized drama because Miraculous has a serialized plot, but the individual episodes must stand alone, so the characters can't have the depth they need. It's messy, ugly writing.

Since you mentioned the name several times now I looked up who Nikki Maxwell is. From the basic description of her on her wiki page I can kinda see some similiarities to Marinette and now I wonder if you have some more in-depth comparisons between the two to share that would explain your remark on Marinette beeing a copy of her. I think the description of the character doesn't make her seem particularly unique and a character-type I'd expect to appear often in these kind of youth novels.
---
Sure thing! Here's some fun facts about the Dork Diaries series, one of the most best-selling kids’ books of the 2000s, that have been translated into 50+ languages, including French:
Nikki's iconic look is having her hair in pigtails.
She often babysits a small girl with pigtails.
She is a good artist.
She is, despite her poor self esteem, very talented in many areas.
She is extremely clumsy and prone to getting into embarrassing situations.
She gets overly embarrassed about the most inconsequential things.
She has a tendency for highly exaggerated panic spirals, where she comes up with imaginary scenarios that are full of fantastical events and are often illustrated in an anime/manga style.
She gets mad easily and it can take her a while to get over perceived slights.
She’s a bad liar but people believe her anyway.
She is a huge hypocrite, who often does things she claims to not do. (Unlike Marinette, her internal narration almost always points this out.)
She has a crush on a boy in her class, mostly based on the fact that he is nice, and her rival in school also likes him.
Brandon, said crush, is very popular but still a loner, and socially awkward.
MacKenzie, Nikki's rival, is a rich blonde bully who wears diamonds often (and very familiar-looking sunglasses at one point). Despite her vast resources, she always loses against Nikki in whatever they're competing in.
MacKenzie is a more classic “queen bee”, than Chloé, but does get called such canonically.
MacKenzie eventually transfers schools because she stopped having power and prestige over her classmates.
Nikki's biggest character flaw is a lack of communication, where she puts off telling people things she thinks they won't like hearing. (Unlike Marinette, she actually has to make it up to people when they find out she's been lying to them.)
A typical plotline in Dork Diaries is that, despite being well-liked, having devoted friends and caring parents, Nikki often hides her problems from them and struggles needlessly.
Nikki eventually gains a secondary love interest, André, who looks eerily similar to Luka in illustrations, in addition to having Astruc's favorite French guys' name.
Nikki's classmates include characters named Max, Chloe and Zoe, with Chloe and Zoe being closely associated with each other. (You know what I always say: two is a coincidence, three is a pattern, and we're now counting four same names.)
Many of these things are, to be fair, very basic school drama protagonist cliches. However, when it's this much similarity between two supposedly unrelated characters, especially with some of the highly specific similarities here, like the animesque imagine spots, it's a pattern and not a coincidence. Is the pattern that there's some template both Nikki and Marinette are based on (like how Vegeta and Hiei’s similarities are because they’re both based off the same older character), or did Astruc copy his protagonist from a mega hit of children’s, especially girls’, literature to try to copy that success? Who knows. It's not like we can expect Astruc to be honest about whether or not he copied Marinette's personality from literature.
I know Astruc hasn't actually read the stuff he claims to have read, so that's a point in favor of Astruc being a too lazy reader to copy someone else's work. However, he must have grown familiar with all these tropes somehow. You can’t hit this many hallmarks of a genre without being somewhat familiar with it, and this genre is the most prolific in literature, and there is research data showing that children often prefer either books or television, so he could reasonably expect the audience not to realize how copy-pasted Marinette is.
Miraculous and Dork Diaries share DNA. How directly they’re related I can’t tell, because I’m not that knowledgeable about the school drama genre.

How do you feel about higuruma in the last couple chapters + how he died(assuming hes dead he seems pretty dead), normally characters with death wishes like choso for example are denied that wish, but it was granted for higuruma. just in a meta sense how do u think that served the story
The reason why Choso wasn't allowed to die, meanwhile Higuruma dies is less Gege being inconsistent and more they are two different characters with two different arcs. Choso's atonement arc is pretty clear, his arc is probably the most complete arc in the manga. Higuruma doesn't have an arc, he doesn't grow or adapt or change in time even though he has the potential to, and even though he's challenged head on by Sukuna and that's why he dies.
I don't mean to say that Higuruma is a bad character when I say that he doesn't have an arc, but rather his character remains static even though he is a well-rounded character. We can dive deeper into Higuruma's character though, to show what I mean when I say that his arc is static and that's the reason he died.
The Ugliness of the Weak
Everyone jumps to Nanami right away when looking for a character to compare Higuruma too, but while there are superficial similarities the best comparison is actually Geto.
Nanami is probably the prime example of a first grade sorcerer, he and Yuji are probably the only sorcerers who do their jobs for non-selfish reasons. Nanami could have had an escape from sorcery to make more money in a safer job, but he goes back to sorcery because he believes that work is more useful to society and worthwhile.
Admittedly, Higuruma starts in the same place as Nanami, wanting to do his work as a defense attorney even though the odds are stacked against him, instead of being a prosecutor or a judge because he doesn't want to turn his eyes away from others.
However, herein lies the rub, while they share the desire to do a job that's useful for others, especially people who can't really fight for themselves, and they both work hard thankless jobs Nanami never develops a superiority complex about it.
Nanami never thinks of the people he helps as weak and inferior. In fact, he criticizes for only fighting for his ego. He doesn't separate the strong and the weak as different categories, he just does his job out of a sense of duty.
Higuruma is compared to Gojo in terms of his raw talent as a Jujutsu Sorcerer, a modern sorcerer who learned domain expansion, and domain amplification in less than a month and then reverse cursed technique in a few minutes when pressed by Sukuna. He was also considered a genius at lawschool as well who could have easily climbed the ranks further if he didn't stay a defense attorney.
Higuruma does his job out of a perceived duty to keep his eyes open to justice, but he still looks down on those same people he's defending. He sees them as a category separate to himself, they are the weak defendants and he is the savior.
Now, who has a talent similiar to Gojo, started in a place of wanting to help the weak out of a sense of duty, while also harboring a superiority complex against them because he was considered such a genius? Ding, ding, ding you get no points for that one, it's Geto.
"The weakness of the victim. The weakness of the accused. Ugly that's what I thought every time I tried to help anyone." "What I saw was nothing out of the ordinary. A hideous evil, known to everyone."
They're both characters who had impossibly hard jobs who still put their noses down to the grindstone and did their jobs out of a sense of justice, or obligation, or because they upheld themselves to a higher moral standard, only to get sick of it from the sense that none of their actions were making a difference and also the ingratitude of people they were trying to save.
They're also, despite being geniuses incredibly fragile ego-wise. Geto has a hero complex, and when Toji easily defeats him, nearly kills Gojo, and kills Rika in front of him he's shown he's a normal person like the rest of the world and can't deal, even saying spiteful words to Gojo that if he had all of Gojo's strength anything he wanted would be possible. This is coming from Geto who had always treated Gojo like an equal and never envied him up until this point.
Then there's Higuruma who calls the victims of an unfair justice system ugly and weak because they ummm... stare at him.
LIke, wow! They're going to go to jail for a long time for a crime they didn't even do, and they're just a little bit upset about it?
How dare they.
They're looking for someone to blame because they're in a bad situation and they're freaking out?
This perfectly human reaction is called "ugly" because Higuruma sees himself in a superior category to these people. He calls empathy looking at someone's weaknesses, and he felt the people he tried to sympathize with and understand were ugly.
I mean yeah I guess freaking out when they were going to prison for a crime they didn't commit and blaming Higuruma who was overworking himself trying to help them wasn't very cash money of them, but you know what else isn't very chill?
Flipping out and murdering a bunch of people the exact moment you're granted a power like Jujutsu by the culling games. Geto and Higuruma see themselves in a category superior to the weak people who sometimes aren't perfect victims and sometimes aren't grateful for their sacrifices, but when given power how exactly do they use it?
Geto after snapping quickly takes over the same cult that killed Riko Amanai an innocent girl, and uses it for much more nefarious purposes. Higuruma quickly becomes a much worse person than the supposed ugly crimminals he was defending the second, the literal second he's granted power.
Geto and Higuruma are just as capable of being bad victims as the same kind of bad victims they looked down on. They're just as affected by trauma, and just as willing to do bad things when put into bad situations because guess what... they're still human. The strong are equally as human as the weak. They see themselves as better than others, and their altruism isn't 100% altruistic (but to be honest no altruism is completely unselfish) because it comes from a place of perceived charity work. When they are hit with the realization that they are just as human, and therefore just as capable of erroring they can't cope.
Which is where we finally get to my point, if Choso is not allowed to die for atonement then why does the story kill off Higuruma and grant him his death wish?
Here's where I tie him to Geto again. (A lot of characters parallel with Geto really including Yuji several times but that's a different post, like Higuruma doesn't have nearly the same bodycount as Geto and he doesn't have any genocidal ambition but that's why he's a character foil and not the exact same character.)
Arguably, Geto also had a death wish that was granted by Gojo himself at the tragic end of Jujutsu Kaisen Zero. While he never directly says so like Choso and Higuruma do there are plenty of lines that indicate it.
He says that he can't be happy from the bottom of his heart in this world, that's the same as basically saying he can't continue living in the world. Years earlier in Hidden Inventory in a panel that parallels this scene he also says that he'd willingly let Gojo kill him and there'd be meaning in that death. At the end of Zero, Geto is crawling away from Yuta ready to continue the fight again and when Gojo suddenly appears he basically makes no attempts to resist.
You could even say that Geto was throwing his life away in pursuit of an impossible dream to begin with. In the light novel adaptation of this scene, the narrator even speculates that the world was simply too cruel a place for Geto to live in.
'...no matter what, I hate non-sorcerers. But it's not like I hate everyone at Jujutsu Tech. It's just...' It's just that it was what Geto had to do. In some ways, Geto and Yuuta were the same. Geto was too sincere. To someone like him, the reality that the world of sorcerers presented to him was just too cruel. '...that in a world like this, I couldn't be truly happy from the bottom of my heart.'
So arguably Geto had a death wish too, and that wish was granted by Gojo in the end, while Choso's was denied.
To live for the purpose of being yourself. And for that goal, Geto could only continue to pursue his twisted dream, drowning himself in the curse that lies in the gap between ideal and reality. This was the final confession of a man who could only choose to warp himself, who had erased himself in pursuit of his goals. The only person who could bear such a curse was Gojo Satoru.
The prose even further compares Geto to Yuta in how they're too sincere, and how Geto can't change himself in the face of a cruel world. Geto dies not because of his death wish though that's part of it, but because of his inability to adapt and grow.
Then we reach Higuruma, who is literally a DEFENSE ATTORNEY, who is supposed to sympathize with accused murderers, and even actual murderers that he has to defend at court. Yet, this DEFENSE ATTORNEY, can't see a single reason to live and atone and redeem himself for the murders he's committed.
Higuruma's a defense attorney, but his cursed technique is a prosecutor and a judge that hands out death sentences. Despite his stated goal of being a defense attorney and wanting to sympathize with human weakness, in the end he cannot forgive crimminals and he also cannot forgive himself.
If anything, the difference between Choso and Higuruma is that Choso still has things to live for. He has a death wish and a wish to atone, but what keeps him going is his desire to protect Yuji. Higuruma the DEFENSE ATTORNEY has given up his role as a protector and is only dealing out punishments.
A character who is still capable of growing and changing in a narrative usually lives, unless they're a mentor to be sacrificed like Nanami. A character who does not grow either doesn't get screentime or they die. Higuruma couldn't see forgiveness or atonement for crimminals, he could only see punishment and because of that when he became a crimminal too he accepted his punishment and died.

Thinking abt Hazel who usually gets Macaria to do her hair since they have similiar hair types (I perceive Macaria to appear black in her day-to-day, like Thanatos). Or sometimes Zagreus, who loved to play with his sisters' hair as a kid and is still willing to sit down for a few hours to do painstakingly complex braids.
But they're both gone, doing their own thing, when Hazel comes down and she sighs because this is the only free moment she has and sure she could get it done at Camp Jupiter or New Rome but she liked the family aspect.
Also it's free when her siblings do her hair. And free is always convenient.
She considers Nico, who's not that bad at it, he just takes way longer than everyone else and his plaits aren't as tight as they could be, when Pluto walks by. He prompts her and she tells him and blinks confused when a second pips by and she's suddenly seated on a plush cushion, products and brushes and combs around her. Her father is seated behind her, his long long legs stretched out.
It's sort of annoying how tall he is. He's behind her and yet his feet pass hers.
Why the hell is she and Nico so short? Even Macaria, born by Hades' sole hand from the dirt of the underworld and dessicated souls, defaults to just below average.
His fingers are cool against her nap as he separates her evenly. "What were you looking for?"
"Uh-" A book appears on her lap. She flips it open. Dozens of hair styles on every page, every hair type accommodated, every style listed. Even the ones far out of date. The models differ - in age, in race, in gender, in time period.
They feel familiar, familial. She wonders what it would take for her to join this family photo album. If she'll be present by mere existence, or if she needs to display a style never seen before for it to count.
"Uh, I usually just get..." She pauses on a photo. The girl is smiling wide with jewels adorning each plait. Even in the turnarounds, when her face is no longer visible, she seems happy. "This one is nice."
Pluto's chin scoots across the top of her head as he looks down. "Fulani with ornamental accents," he muses. He waves his hand as a bowl of beads appears between their legs. Different colours, different gems. "Pick. I'll let you know when I get there."
Hazel picks up the bowl. The jewels glitter. "Did you do all of these?"
"Most of them," he says.
She pulls out a thick golden bead. "Do you like doing hair?"
It seems a stupid question when it hits the hair and she curses her brain for not catching her tongue. But he answers, amused, "Sometimes. When you're patient. Nico never was, but fortunately Hades is a little more relaxed than I am."
She thinks of Nico, young, and tucked into their father's lap, wet locks being combed and brushed back gently as they dry. She thinks of him squirming, as kids do, bored of sitting still while his hair is trimmed. Or curled. Or whatever he had going on. For all she knows, he was being braided too, with slick smooth plaits. Over and under, over and under. Thin fingers and a idle smile listening to the chatter of a toddler.
"I didn't have much help when she was born," he continues. "And Macaria liked to play rough with the dogs and chickens and Furies." He clips part of her hair to the side and hums softly. "And their claws are not quite suited to crafting ponytails or braids from thick curly hair."
Hazel sets a beautiful onyx bead with her slowly forming pile. There's a thin golden imprint of a skull on it. The skin of it is smooth. Even the grooves are so subtle she can't feel them with her fingertip, only sensing it from the catch of her nail.
"And you just... carried on with it?" She pauses, shifting her head with gentle guide of his hands. "Even when they had other people without claws to help?"
"Of course." The comb is gentle as he passes it through. Slow and steady. Like Macaria and Zagreus, but softer somehow. "I'm your father. Why wouldn't I keep doing your hair?"
#happy talks pjo#idk how to end it so im just gonna cut it here and try to study#im v sore and tired#hazel levesque#hades (pjo)#my writing#my fanfic#pjo fanfic

you mentioned a while back making a yandere! atlas.. yes !!! i love the first 2 games so much and just watched a burial at sea atlas moments video.. hcs or oneshot, just any content with him would be so so cool! maybe the reader is similiar to jack's/elizabeth's position, someone hes supposed to guide but then gets a little too attached to
A/n: Hi anon! Thank you for the request and sorry it took so long! My life has been really hectic and all over the place recently. But I'll do my best to fulfill your request to the best of my ability! 🫡
P.S. I'm gonna try to make this as gender neutral as I can but it might lean more towards afab!reader due to some of the lines Atlas says to Elizabeth in the dlc. (It's been a minute so sorry if any of this feels rushed or incomplete)
Finders Keepers
You quickly entered the elevator, barely managing to escape the splicers and big daddies that seemed to be around every corner. Despite the predicament you were in, and how many wounds you didn't have enough medical supplies to patch up, you still made it to some kind of safety.
"I can't help Sally if I'm just like everyone else down here," you sighed, "I can't even get back to where I was.."
You leaned against the railing, exhausted to no end as you felt the elevator move to its destination. You groaned internally as you heard the crackle and scratch of the walkie on your hip awakening.
It was that bastard, Atlas.
"If you don't mind me askin', love: why you talkin' to nobody? If I had pegged you for a loon, I might've had second thoughts on our 'arrangement.'" He spoke with a tone that had you gritting your teeth.
You scoffed, "I'll hold up my end. But I better find the girl the way I left her."
"You're in no position to make demands. But I must confess, I do like a bit o' sass in a lass."
You rolled your eyes as you could hear the smirk on his face. Groaning in annoyance, you reloaded your revolver and crossbow. You have to be prepared for anything in this sick and twisted society.
You stepped out of the elevator, thinking you’d be prepared for anything until a pissed off Big Daddy came charging in your direction, not seeing much of a difference between you and some of the splicers that dwelled down here.
You began to run, trying to put as many obstacles between you and the giant creature as possible. You were successful for a while until you were trapped in an old bar, a couple buzzed up splicers clinging to the ceiling with their rusty hooks.
For a moment, you thought you might’ve lost the big guy, until a loud groan and a hard hit to the middle of your back sent you flying into the shelves of liquor. Glass shattered against your skin as they began to sink in and the world became darker around you…
*Time skip to two weeks later*
It felt like your head was buzzing. Your brain pounding in your skull as if it was being asked to be let out. Your body felt sore, the world around you slowly fading into existence as you slowly regained consciousness.
"Folks say it's only a matter of time until Atlas's entire mob comes out waving the white flag..." The announcer on the radio in front of you said before fading out into static.
You groaned from the sharp sound, brows pinching together from the pain in your head. You went to raise your hand to hold your head only to realise you were tied down on a chair.
Once your vision became clear, you could see the shadow of a man smoking a cigarette in front of you, a Rapture building crumbling to pieces just outside the window.
"Two weeks.." said the man.
"Huh.. w-what..?" You grunted.
"You've been down two weeks, love. Feckin' doctors, better off hiring monkeys if they're gonna harm what's mine in the same way." It took a moment before you realised Atlas stood in front of you.
You groaned, glaring at the back of the man's skull, "Our deal was to get you out of prison. What did you expect? To win your little civil war for you too?"
He chuckled, throwing his cigarette onto the ground, not needing to stomp on it due to the water leaking through the cracks in the ceiling.
"No, no, no," he turned around, slowly walking into the standing light that was shining in your face the whole time, "You see, that was the plan at first. To have you find my Ace in the Hole and bring Ryan down alongside the other pricks that dwell down here."
He slowly stalked towards you, resembling a hungry lion hunting its gazelle. "However, things change and unfortunately," he slammed his hands onto the arm rests your wrists were still tied to, causing you to jump in your seat, "you ain’t got a choice in the matter."
He stood up straight, circling you with a glint in his eye that you couldn't quite make out. "So now, lass, you belong to me."
You couldn't tell if the bumps on your skin were from the cold air or his words.
"Wait, what? The hell are you talking about? We had a fucking deal, Atlas!" You grunted, shifting uncomfortably in your seat.
He placed one hand on your thigh the other on your chin, his cigarette and alcohol-laced breath fanning your face, "I need you to get something through your pretty skull of yours, love. You will listen to me, you only belong to me. And if you don’t follow those simple, little rules…”
He takes a step back, grabbing one of the lobotomy tools on the table, “…I’ll take matters into my own hands.”

POST WHERE I TALK ABOUT MY HERO OUTFIT DESIGNS FOR END OF SEASON 2 SLASH SEASON 3 PRIME DEFNDERS :33 LONG ASS POST FOR THE RECORD
also I have pictures of their og design in this so. warning for white skinny pd jumpscare /joking
for sake of navigation I'm going in the order I drew them, and the order theyre in on the above image heart emoji.
"Virion" Vyncent Sol up first!! also can we talk about how his hero name is straight up just his name. lol. lmao even.
I HAD THE MOST PLAN FOR VYNCENT GOING IN TBH I wanted something similiar to the origami outfit while still staying reminiscent of his old outfit
I knew I wanted the jacket and I went with the turtleneck so it was the same as Jason's outfit. also Jason has really cool glove sleeve things I thought that was so fucking cool guys. and vyncent is generally from an actual outfit standpoint like... really simplistic? so just ourple pants and boots seemed most logical. I liked the mask and it was in both of his old designs so I decided to stick with it.
and then of course. the belts. there are ten total belts on his outfit jot including the two that would come with the sheath LMAO. plus the two pd colored belts on his boots!! I decided while drawing I wanted them all to have something in eachothers colors cause thats really cute.
i MUCHHH prefer the shorter jacket because of how it shows off the outfit and is reminiscent of his s2 post fauna design . . .
generally had the most idea going into his so there was very little in ways of additional sketching
also the Japanese where Jason's jacket had said Origami straight up just says Knife. I thought that was so funny. ENTIRELY ACCIDENTAL THING his outfit is basically just cantrips but colors flipped LMAO
BUT THATS ALL FOR VYNCENT. next up is (drum roll please)
"Wisperer" William Wisp!!! El wiwi himself. OKAY SO AS YOU MAY NOTICE. THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN THE DESIGN I ORIGINALLY POSTED. I had Not been happy with that one because it felt too cluttered and a little out of character so I ended up redesigning his jacket and redrawing the refs.
WILLIAMS OUTFIT WAS REALLY FUN THO I ended up going with a gas mask like he had in the greyscale arc, hoodie (which will get its own paragraph), cargo pants!! for his cargo and gadgets and gizmos, and then. because it's me and he's william. platformish boots laced with the orlther pds colors.
the hoodie was the thing I had changed in the new design because the old design wasn't william wisp enough for me yknow
i wnjoyed the outfit and it looked really need but it was much more complicated than his original hero suit and didn't really seem like smthn he'd design and wear.
i really liked the wisp belt and wanted to keep that wisp motif, which is why I ended up putting the flames on his sleeves! it looks cool as hell and keeps w the flame designs. IM ALSO SUPER ATTACHED TO THE WISPERER W THAT WAS ON HIS ORIGINAL HERO DESIGN.... so the hoodie has a stylized w.
also dakota and vyncent beads :)
I HAD A.... PROCESS MAKING THIS ONE LMAO. SO THERES A HANDFUL OF DRAFTS
i cinsidered adding stuff to make his outfit like Silhouettes then remebered i haye Silhouettes outfit. the images are out of order but I'm on mobile and can't be fucked to fix it. NEXT UP!!!!!!
"DC" Dakota Cole! only SLIGHTLY better than vyncent just using his name, bro is using his initials......
I CHANGED THE LEAST ABOUT HIS DESIGN HONESTLY. it was very nice to just get to draw Dakota though :)
the most I changed was I made it a bit simpler, and changed the jacket to be more like the Hexpert armor
also made the zipper look like her weird chest thingy....
I REALLY DISLIKE THE SHOES AND THE LITTLE BITS ON HIS ANKLES THOUGH. SO I CHANGED EM. they're now his thing in the others color heart emoji. I'd like to think they all sat down together and brainstormed ways to encorperate eachother into their costumes.....
i also made a little note of the back of hia jacket and I tried to make it look like a jersey
because he played soccer :)
ALSO.... DAKOTA COLE HONEY YOU SHOULD NOT ME WEARING A BELT EITH A BUCKLE. but it looks cool </3 if a little impractical
BUT THATS ALL OF EM FOR NOW..... love these guys.
next I. tackle redesigning this thing.
sighs. I so got this

FINAL OLYMPIC LEOTARD REVIEW- OVERALL COUNTRY SCORES
Note: to qualify for this category, the country had to participate in a minimum of 4 events to gauge consistency.
Best
🥇 Brazil- they brought the colours, gorgeous designs, interesting necklines, and sparkles. Not one of their designs missed.
🥈 China- I only had one gripe about their leotards the entire time- and that was the black splotches on their qualification outfit. Aside from this one critique, I have thoroughly enjoyed their designs.
🥉 Canada- the maple leaves were classy, the colours bright, and the only ones I wasn’t perfectly sold on were still creative and only had minor issues. Overall extremely solid.
I expected better from you
Italy- Only now that I've lined them all up next to each other do I see that it's not an identical design in multiple colours. They're not technically speaking bad, but they all looked so similiar and so basic, no contrast, no risk, no flair. Give your gymnasts something to work with.
Worst
Japan- only rolled out two looks across their four events, and the ones they had were very weak. Not exciting, designs that wore the gymnasts rather than the other way around, and not very Japanese. I'm very disappointed.
GB- These were terrible. They were so bland in terms of design and the first colour especially was just so dull. They seem to have coordinated with the dive team but maybe they shouldn't have, because it's looking a lot more swimming costume than gymnastics leotard. Get it together.
If you’ve enjoyed this series please let me know if I should keep it going across world cups and other tournaments! I’m also really interested to hear what other people think of these rankings so make your opinions known!

hi, you know I really like your posts I am a passenger on the Kawasara ship, can you tell me something that makes you think they will be canon? My heart really hurts hearing the insults from the haters I really want Kawasara canon to silence the mouths of those demons, can you tell me something that makes you believe if they might be canon? sorry if my english is very messy
Haters are acting crude and ignorant these days. That's nothing new. Ikemoto's pushing the bait ship of Boruto & Sarada, doesn't help. They are since of the beginning not semicanon.
They still see each other as silbings. A friend of mine said, that shonen ships are easy to read, if you watch the girl's pov.
The heart and feelings of a girl won't change.
Let's see, how Sarada usually acts with boys, ( even the BSA's blushes are existing)
Sarada said in ch. 700, that she and Boruto are similiar. It makes sence to me. Both have the same descendants Ashura and Indra, Hagoromo Ootsuski. They're in a family way connected.
Sarada rejected Boruto more than ones, if someone asked about her feelings.
Sarada and Boruto have close bond now like Naruto and Sasuke had later in Naruto classic.
Her confirmation of silbing feelings will happen a 2nd time in the manga.
Next one, she doesn't act jealous around Boruto, if Sumire is involved.
And i believe, we only didn't get a girl speach between them, because Sumire believes her words in ch. 19 and doesn't see her as a rival. Of course you're allowed to hug someone, who's important to you without romantic feelings.
Kishi also put the most lovely connections between the silbing ships, especially between Sasuke and Itachi.
I found something interesting here:
The hug is explained here, even B.'s mouth is so close to Sarada's ear.
But that's Ikemoto's style to oversexualize his characters and we saw in one of the last chapters again, that Sarada doesn't seem jealous, when Sumire was deeply worried for B.
BUT we got a short glance from Kawaki to Sarada, who seemed worried for our future Hokage.
Next one Borumitsu:
Ikemoto put the strings together and worked all ships out, which happened from 1st to last.
1st Borumitsu
2nd Borusumi
3rd Kawasara.
We got a confirmation from B.'s side for Mitsuki after the BSA happened. We know from the beginning Mitsuki loves Boruto from the 1st glance. The same happened with Sakura for Sasuke.
Ikemoto destroys slowly every ship, which won’t become canon. So BSA won't become canon.
It doesn't look like it's romantic connected
Next one: we will get something for BoruSumi in the next months .
Last one will be KawaSara, but we get crumbs every chapter here and there. They're both connected through the topics Hokage, Shinobi life and their village. Sarada acts like a kind teacher to him. Surprisingly, she's the only one, who could reach him in this episode. Also Naruhina and SasuSaku had a romantic moment under the full moon.
Sarada doesn't still know, the hole truth about the happenings in ch. 66-68.
Eida manipaluted her, after she told her a part of the truth and hide a part of it, that Boruto wanted to kill his own father. Eida seperated them from each other.
Next Naruto:
Naruto is an important connection between them from the beginning. At the moment, Sarada gets the news, that he's alive. She will change her pov.
There are already little foreshadowings.
In opening 7, you have two versions of Kawaki's back. For a few episodes it's black, after Sarada puts her glasses off. Later it becomes light.
Means in the beginning she distrusts him, but at a certain point she will trust him again and their ship will develop further.
This will change after a time, if not it would be a plot hole.

I'm having a serious bout of nostalgia these past weeks. I started reading from my pile of fanfiction which I've printed over the years. And ended up reading the only Lord of the Rings story I have saved for posterity, namely Calico's brilliant (but sadly unfinished) Viggo/Orlando fic Blood Oranges. And wow, it's really quite an intoxicating read.
It was never a big fandom for me back then, but I remember reading a little, and I remember finding that whole cast quite wonderful.
All of a sudden, I felt a strong need to look back at the Viggorli pairing of yore. Turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole for me.
I realised I find it very fascinating to have this soon 25 years perspecitve on them, since fandom is usually quite topical. Particularly RPF, since it's quite dependent on that darn thing we call reality.
Looking back at a pairing like Viggo and Orlando is wrought with wistfulness, with all the could-have-beens and never-happeneds. In the now of a pairing, you can fantasise of a future, but with the reality of a past, it's quite different.
I've always been intrigued by the relationship that Viggo and Orlando had during those 18 months of filming LotR. Sharing a make up trailer, getting lost in the woods together, and just generally spending a lot of time together. And waxing lyrically about each other. More than ten years later, O said in an interview that V is his biggest influence, that the way V took care of him on the LotR is something that mattered a lot to him. And that V in general is a legend, a beautiful soul etc. It's quite touching.
But it's also a quite melancholic and wistful statement since O also implies it's not that easy to keep in touch with V because "he's an artist, an ACTUAL artist".
youtube
A few years later, O very randomly appeared on a rather odd Italian show where people are reconciled with each other, live on tv. O was there when two estranged sisters were reconciled. O says he has a similiar situation with a "good friend", someone with a similiar age difference as the sisters, someone who used to take care of him. It's not at all clear, but it seems this "brother" gave him a ring with the inscription "To Wherever it May Lead". A line from Legolas to Aragorn which was cut.
(It's a little difficult to hear, but O says that the line from LotR was engraved in the ring when it was given to him, and that he always has it, as an encouragment. I've only found this clip on a Chinese site, hence the subtitles.)
So, it seems to be implied that V gave this ring to O. That O maybe also lost touch with V. And that maybe they've reconciled? It's unclear, but I find it terribly intriguing.
Of course, I know nothing about what's actually going, and it's all fantasy, but it's nonetheless quite a fascinating perspective to look back like this over the years. In my brain - warped by years in fandom - it turns into this EPIC. Either an epic romance, with its ups and downs, loss and great love. Or an epic tragedy, full of unfulfilled desires, bad choices and opportunities lost. There's still some fanfiction written these days (not much, but I'm in awe that there's any at all!). The lovely recent work of chaosmanor really sold me on very wistful, but also quite hopeful, reconcilation fic.
O and V are getting old, but they are still two quite handsome fellows. And I hope there will be a proper, public LotR-cast reunion in time for the 25 yrs mark. They had a few covid-oriented reunions on zoom for the 20 yr celebration, but I hope it'll be live one day.
I would like to see the fellowship of tattoed nine together again, as long as they're all still alive.

i really loved reading the posts you made about joachim and lieserl’s relationship. you pointed out a lot of details i never noticed before :D
how do you think the plot would have changed if einstein or tesla inherited the core? do you think they would have made the same or similar choices? i would really love to know your opinion on this 🥰
Thank you! This is a great question to ponder since I'm not sure I have some definite answer for it but I hope by the end of my ramble I'll come to some coherent idea.
It really is a shame that we have a Herrscher Core that implies power to create whatever there is (mostly used to create weapons) and then we have this genius inventor, the one and only, who has unique ideas and obsession over weapons and these two are not together. If we put aside some lore and look at the 1st core as a concept, it was destined to be Tesla's. A good part of Tesla's story is about how everyone around her are at the loss of words seeing and hearing about her ideas.
She's the greatest gift but the greatest doom for the world. Universe crossed itself the day Tesla was born. And maybe writers were too scared to give so much power to someone so unhinged. Tesla would become not just an almighty calamity but the ggz level of god. She would end the Honkai war the very same day. If she sneezed the whole Imaginary Tree would collapse, and then she would crawl out of the hi3 developers' monitor to force them to play with her. Then she would enslave them and make her dream come true which is "I want to be a rich CEO with buff mech battlesuits and a sexy spy in a black latex by my side".
Alright, alright, jokes aside. Throughout the story Tesla is the most opposite of Joachim's decisions but since she has no core therefore no voice to decide she just goes with the flow being all that grumpy. So Tesla would most likely go for a different route if she were to inherit the core. Tesla is more careful with her life than Joachim and the only time when she's ready to die is when it's a sacrifice for revolutionary idea that can change the game rules for forever. So if she were to sacrifice herself it would be for something as impactful as Elysia's sacrifice that changed the fate of CE Herrschers. Other than that she would probably play insane mind games using mind blowing creations of hers with the help of Lieserl and Joachim throughout the story.
But this take can easily be changed by the question whether or not her inheriting the core means she loses Lieserl and Joachim and everyone. Because in this case she would most likely go for the villain route against Schicksal and Schicksal would have to face more than just Honkai problem. Which is also interesting, don't you agree?
At first glance, it seems Lieserl's choices wouldn't be that far away from Joachim's since they're in a very similiar mental state. Moreover Joachim usually negotiates his decisions (not all of them) with Tesla and mostly with Ein. But if we dive a bit deeper into Ein's case, her path also would be different.
Let's start with the obvious fact that Joachim never asked for the 1st core and for all these responsibilities, he had no choice, it's not like he could respond with the "yeah, cool, thanks but no" to dying Welt. And he even tried to run away for more than 20 years and can we agree that after his runaway he went a little bit insane and started to see and treat the world around him in that twisted sick symbolic way of his? But he was a little child and still kinda is so we can't blame him. The thing is if you asked AE "who wants the core?" Lieserl would be the first in line.
While Joachim is protective over the world saving concept, I think Ein would focus on the core more. Taking in how suicidal she is, if she were to inherit the core she wouldn't sacrifice herself that easily or try to give the core to someone else. Even though Joachim took the responsibility over Welt's will and legacy, all his further decisions were only about him freeing himself from it. His urge to sacrifice himself hidden behind the "this is the only way out" argument easily can be his hidden desire to just die and be free. Him giving the core to Bronya with no hesitation was also his way to throw away the role and be free.
As I've already mentioned, Lieserl was ready to die for Welt and with his death she would treat his core as a punishment and a burden for not being able to save him. Being the successor of the core would be her personal suffering and only hers. And if the 1st core suits Tesla more from the perspective of its powers, then the "core that is made out of many souls, including the souls of Carl and Welt" perspective suits Ein more. Maybe she'd choose Bronya's route of "I don't want to save the entire world, I want to save MY world". Maybe she'd go for the "as long as I live and keep his core save his legacy lives on too". And in this case AE would probably would be more like the World Serpent - a hidden puppeteer behind the curtain while Schicksal would be on their own.
